Resumen
The article presents some analytical results of Udmurtia museums’ work in connection with the processes of globalization. A museum, as a sociocultural institution of society, reacts and feels changes in the world that change the museum's space, and finds other forms of interaction with libraries, archives, universities and research institutes. Informatization as an integral part of globalization has changed the accounting, storage and presentation of historical, cultural and natural heritage to a visitor in domestic museums, including in Udmurtia. Public attention is focused not only on material, but also on intangible objects. Museums of the Udmurt Republic are part of the unified electronic museum space of Russia and the world, where there is an opportunity to join the great cultural achievements of all mankind. Globalization opens up new opportunities for visitors to access the museum's collections and research into the material and spiritual culture of mankind. Museums of Udmurtia are closely connected with the phenomenon of globalization. Based on the use of SHOT analyses to evaluate the activities of the state museums of the Udmurt Republic, the prospects for development are outlined. Some aspects of Udmurtia museums activities are analyzed: informatization of museum environment, new forms of communication and the role of philanthropists and patrons. Museums develop modern forms of communication, introduce multimedia resources, use interactive technologies, successfully develop and participate in projects, and provide visitors with disabilities with group and individual classes - master classes. Museum employees develop special programs for working with such visitors. Udmurtia museums strive to be open to all visitors. Museum community presents successful projects in the field of preservation and study of historical and cultural heritage to Russia and the world. In the process of globalization, museums in Russian society remain a traditional institution where you can see authentic exhibits of history and culture, feel the power of their impact on the thoughts and feelings of a person. It is this educational aspect that makes a museum different from other institutions of society.

Resumen
This work is the result of a study on the characteristics that define some of the museums created on the Silk Road. The approach to these museums has focused especially on the observation of the educational and heritage aspects that define these institutions. Since 1988, numerous actions related to the Silk Road have been promoted by UNESCO. This old trade route has now become a route of dialogue between cultures. Each museum studied is characterized by promoting local and national issues that define it. Educational issues stand out, since the tradition of silk production is very important in each place. Another aspect observed is that heritage issues manage to strengthen the characteristic features of each community. I have interviewed those responsible and personally observed their facilities and collections. Each museum has chosen to highlight local differential factors, enhancing the aesthetic arguments of cultural identity. Finally, I examine the specific case of the Valencia Silk Museum, the most recent creation museum but also the oldest institution. In the conclusions, I highlight the importance of education in most of these institutions.

Resumen
The uniqueness of the Natural History Museum is that it is perfectly suited for the introduction of interdisciplinary educational innovation. The environment of the museum has a special atmosphere, and natural collections play an important role, as they implement not only scientific but also educational goals. Research on the nature of communication has attracted great interest in pedagogical science in recent years. Museum communication has certain characteristics that distinguish it from all other types of knowledge dissemination. The specificity of the communication activities of natural history museums is associated with the use of natural objects and biological information in this process. A person learns new models of thinking and action if he is in direct contact with natural values and specialists who are able to interpret them. The main target audience on which the research is focused are children of different ages and teachers. The aim of the article is to actualize the pedagogical significance of the museum environment and museum education collections in the context of non-formal education. A few decades ago, the main and inviolable task of museums was to preserve and protect the collection, but today the focus has shifted and now the preservation and protection of collections is considered in inseparable connection with education. We are convinced that the education role of museums should be strengthened and that it should be as important as other aspects of professional museum practice. Educational departments in museums acquire important that reflects the relationship of the museum community with the educational needs of society. We can state that the effective use of the potential of museums in the school educational process is impossible without the mutual partnership of museum and school teachers. A well-formed and completed base of educational scientific collections is the basis of successful museum programs. A museum object is the determining factor that causes delight, surprise and ardor in a child, which forms her new life experience and stimulates the process of comprehension and the formation of value orientations. The resources and pedagogical potential of the museum are fully consistent with the requirements of education and our task is to ensure its implementation.

Resumen
As a result of the use of information technologies in their work, museums have acquired qualitatively new opportunities for the registration of exhibits, the preservation of electronic copies of the documents and exhibits, as well as the mode of access to exhibits. Museums strive to become interesting, fashionable, interactive, educational. The modern museum can be fully called an object of informatization. In order to realize all modern possibilities, museums must be staffed with modern personnel. A modern museum worker is not just an art critic with relevant knowledge. A modern museum worker must confidently master the information technologies and use them in the practice. The article analyzes the dynamics of changes in the staff of museum workers over the past six years. It presents the diagram of the distribution of museum workers by the age groups and shows the distribution of museum workers according to their experience. There is an analysis in ratio of the number of men and women among museum workers. The paper analyzes some aspects of staffing the museum as an object of informatization.

Resumen
Museum education, which creates conditions for people to better understand their own culture and other cultures and to form skills for effective intercultural interaction, is based on the recognition and acceptance of differences and the development of empathy, tolerance and respect, while helping to preserve cultural values. This determines the role of museum education in the ethnographic and historical museum as a tool for successful implementation of intercultural dialogue. This article presents the main aspects of a functional analysis of educational and cultural policies in the period from 2012 to 2020. In addition, in the context of the key global and European visions for education and culture and their reflection in national policies until 2030, the introduction of modern intercultural educational programs for ethnographic and historical museum in strategic terms is justified. The research was carried out as part of research on contemporary intercultural educational programs for ethnographic and historical museums.

Resumen
This paper presents some aspects of COVID-19 impact on cultural tourism and on the museum sector. Museums are closely linked to cultural and heritage tourism, considered a significant attraction. The tourism sector is among the most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and cultural tourism is not an exception. In 2020 around 95% museums around the world were closed – according to government sanitary regulations. The aim of the research was to identify the impact of COVID-19 disease on cultural tourism (measured by a number of visitors in the most popular museums in 2019 and 2020) and museums’ adaptation to the sanitary restrictions during the pandemic time. For a few decades museums have tried to enhance their digital activities such as online educational programmes, online collection display, online exhibitions, live events, learning programs, brochures, podcasts, social media and virtual tours. These activities and various projects became especially important during the lockdown caused by the pandemic outbreak, as many museums continued their missions during the pandemic. Some museums have reopened (with strict limitations defined by sanitary restrictions), but many institutions remain closed. It shows how crucial IT innovations are. The paper concludes with some reflections on museums’ offer during the pandemic time and cultural tourism prospects in the post-pandemic time.

Resumen
This paper gives the analysis of educational programs and resources for teachers in art museums and galleries in the world and in Serbia. Nowadays, in attempt to follow contemporary tendencies in art education, a significant attention is payed to development of educational programs in art museums and galleries. There is also a strong pursuit to build connections between these cultural institutions and teachers. The goal of this paper is to present selected examples of practices in museums and galleries, programs and resources for teachers, based on preschool and primary school approaches and strategies of teaching using works of art. Research on different aspects of collaboration between kindergartens and schools with institutions of culture is also presented in this paper. Research results indicate that there is no satisfactory collaboration among these institutions in our environment. Schools and kindergartens should support teachers by providing developmentally encouraging environment for maintaining collaboration, so children should get a chance to study works of art more frequently.

Resumen
Abstract Museums are complex architectural works with many distinctive elements. One of the most significant museum features are routes or paths on which visitors circulate museums and perceive exhibitions. Children and people with special needs often have specific demands on physical accessibility of the surrounding environment, chronological arrangement of spaces and amount of information presented at a time. The arrangement of functional units in museum layouts affects wayfinding in space, understanding of the exhibition, as well as visitor guidance. The order in which people visit particular segments in a museum can also be described as one of the most important architectural and operational characteristics of this type of cultural buildings and areas. The article examines ways of arranging spaces in a museum building and the suitability of their application. These forms are evaluated based on various aspects; some of the created effects are studied, e.g. creation of a desired atmosphere. Existing concepts are compared and supplemented with other theoretical knowledge. The article aims to present variant suitable ways of composing routes that would meet the needs of different people, and bring them a quality leisure and educational experience from a museum tour. Various types of museum layout organisation and arrangement of exhibition spaces are illustrated with abstract schemes, as well as with specific case studies of five selected museums. The selection consists of architecturally exceptional and high-quality museums in Central Europe, which are able to attract a whole range of various groups of people including a younger audience. They are examples of both modern museums in this area and route planning options. The case studies highlight interesting local ideas, space concepts, routing methods, and also solutions for increasing inclusion of all visitors and children in particular.

Resumen
19th century dime museums were a North American phenomenon that flourished in urban centres from the mid- to late-1800s. Named thusly due to their low admission cost, dime museums provided democratic entertainment that was promoted to all classes as affordable and respectable. The resulting facilities were crammed with art, artifacts, rarities, living human curiosities, theatre performances, menageries, and technological marvels. The exhibition Dr. Soanes’ Odditorium of Wonders strives to recapture the spirit and aesthetic of the dime museum to invoke wonder in the viewer and to combine art, artifacts, and oddities to provoke questions about the boundary between education and amusement. Both the academic and curatorial texts utilize a mix of methodological approaches appropriate to museology, art history and cultural history: theoretical research into historiographical issues concerning theories of display and spectacle; archival research and discourse analysis of historical documents, and material culture analysis (including the semiotics of display).

This study examined two art museum and school partnerships in order to learn how partnerships enable an integration of goals, participants' beliefs and values, and learning objectives. This study examined the partnerships through a social constructivist lens and used narrative analysis as way to interpret participants' stories about collaboration. The research found three major themes among participants' stories. Participants: a) valued good communication to establish relationships between partners, b) believed partnership offered students experiences that educated the whole person, and c) felt that students making meaning by interacting in the museum environment was an indicator of success. The study closes with discussion of the researchers' own constructions as they developed throughout the study.

This doctoral investigation examines educational relationships between museums and schools, and more specifically between art museums and secondary art education. The author's analysis of literature pertaining to museum/school relationships and previous research conducted within Honours research establishes systematic contradictions as permeating the public role of museums and educational engagements with museums. In seeking explanation, a theoretical framework, derived from the social theories of Pierre Bourdieu is developed. The framework is used to interrogate the practices of school-based art education and art museums, and the agents involved, to examine how social relations operate to enable and constrain the representation and engagement of secondary school-based perspectives in the museum setting. Aspects that have previously remained unacknowledged are examined to reveal the interplay of factors that influence educational experiences in the art museum setting. Using the findings from the first stage of the analysis, in concert with the Bourdieuan framework, the author develops a model for learning in art museums that explores and articulates a new pedagogical terrain in the art educational use of art museums. A socio-cognitive framework is developed to reflect the strategic incorporation of museological knowledge, contemporary art education philosophies and practices and sociological theory. The aims of the model are to engage secondary art education and art museums using a sociological perspective, provide the tools for secondary art educators to be autonomous in the art museum setting, recognize that individuals relate to cultural materials and experiences in varying and multiple ways and develop educational encounters that predispose learners to engage in the cultural practice of art museum visiting. In intrinsically valuing art museum experiences as distinctive learning opportunities, the model provides teaching and learning strategies that allow for a multi-faceted, developmentally appropriate and cognitively based educational involvement. As the ultimate outcome of the research the model has significance for secondary art students, secondary art educators, teacher educators and art museum educators. It is unique in providing a secondary school-based art educational perspective on learning in art museums that is designed to establish a foundation for cultural practice, within and beyond the school years.

Resumen
One of the most challenging problems in the simulation of real environments is to generate worlds that appear realistic and more attractive. It becomes increasingly challenging when the simulated environment focuses on minors (students), because the young generation has high demands on simulation systems due to their experience in computer gaming. Virtual museums are among the most important simulation environments, which present cultural and educational content for everyone. Their purpose is to enrich the users experience by allowing an intuitive interaction with the museum artifacts and to offer knowledge with the most pleasant ways. This paper focuses on the aspects of realistic simulations in the development of virtual 3D environments for Cultural Heritage applications. This study includes aspects regarding some of the most high-tech image effects, applicable artificial intelligence methods, powerful game engines, how real object can be reconstructed realistically and how all those features may be combined to produce realistic, pleasant, productive and educative environments.

Resumen
The chapter presents the results of an investigation carried out in ten Chilean museums, distributed in the regions of Valparaíso and Biobío, and whose objective is to describe and analyze the link between the museum and the school. For this, the following central questions were posed: What is learned and what can be learned in the museum? How do you learn? What is the focus and purpose of your training proposal? What links exist between the patrimony and the strengthening of the citizen education? The results are grouped into two broad categories. The first question refers to those aspects that are presented as positive and not imported. In the second part, those aspects that diminish the activity of the museums in the light of the international development in the area are grouped, and therefore a deep revision is required.

Resumen
For many countries around the world in the period of rapid development of digital technologies, the problems of creating digital resources, expanding the communication space and ensuring free access to digital documentary heritage, providing a regulatory framework for electronic resource management. The cultural heritage of any country is an important component of world cultural attainment. For decades, projects aimed at pre serving and effectively using cultural heritage as a valuable resource for strategic development of states have been developed and implemented. The solution to these problems lies in digitizing monuments, creating digital copies of them, providing online access to digital collections, long-term maintenance and management of digital resources. In this context, foreign experience in implementing digital initiatives is important. Successful projects to digitize documentary monuments are one of the key imperatives of the cultural policy of many countries around the world. A significant number of artifacts are of honorable age, which makes additional demands on the possibility of their use, including monuments of documentary heritage. The conditions stored in the original documents are in many cases far from ideal. It is unknown how long these priceless monuments may still exist. Paper breaks down, ink disappears and information is lost forever. For these reasons, a significant number of artifacts still remain inaccessible. The implementation of projects for the digitization of cultural heritage is aimed primarily at solving the problems of preservation, accounting, providing access to digital copies of monuments, thus expanding the opportunities for effective use of their strategic potential. The subject of the research is the development and implementation of projects for the digitization of cultural heritage sites abroad. The purpose of the study is to focus attention on the legal and methodological support for the development and implementation of foreign projects on documentary heritage. The aim of the article is to focus on the main stages and features of the development and implementation of foreign projects for the digitization of cultural heritage sites. Objectives of the research: to identify and explore the features of development and implementation of foreign projects to create digital content of documentary heritage; to reveal the main stages of creation of digital resources; highlight the possibilities of providing online access to digital copies (images) of documents; reveal ways to maintain and manage digital resources. The methodological basis of the research is a set of general scientific principles of historical, systematic, objectivity, based on an interdisciplinary approach. The main provisions of this work are based on the convergence of museum, archival, library and information and communication technologies. The use of historical and logical approaches provided an opportunity to consider the process of development and implementation of projects for digitization of documentary heritage abroad, to analyze their transformations and dependence on the development of new information technologies. The method of information modeling provided an opportunity to predict the development of electronic libraries and the corresponding management of digital resources. Among the empirical methods in the study, methods of description and comparison were used to gather information. Information-analytical and source-based methods were also used to analyze the legal framework. From empirical-theoretical methods abstraction, analysis, synthesis, induction, deductions are used – to reveal the stages of development of digitization projects. The purpose of the projects of digitization of cultural heritage is to address current issues in modern documentary communications: expanding access to documentary heritage; virtual reconstruction of scattered funds and collections; providing access to unique materials of archives, museums, libraries; preservation of artifacts, especially those at risk of destruction; support of scientific and educational programs, etc. Problems of preservation and access to digitized cultural heritage on the websites of museums, archives and libraries remain relevant in time, in particular in the context of transparency, accessibility, reactivity, availability of electronic images, feedback from users of the website, the volume of digitized documents, social responsibility and trust in the site. The practice of presenting cultural heritage on the sites of museums, libraries and archives of Ukraine indicates the need to develop a single concept of digitization of cultural heritage and the creation of relevant sites. The research, analysis and use of world experience will contribute not only to the most effective implementation of projects to digitize the cultural heritage of Ukraine, but also to ensure its proper preservation and proper presentation on the Internet for public use.

Resumen
Serious games (SGs), which support the player to achieve learning targets and engage in learning activities through a fun experience, have been a flourishing field of research over the last decades. Their dual role as an educational and entertainment tool contributes to their widespread adoption and dissemination. Emotions play a key role in SGs and can be used in various ways to improve a player's experience and their learning outcomes or even contribute to a holistic UX evaluation. Even though SGs have several applications in the cultural heritage (CH) field and GLAMs (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) institutions to improve their services, their impact has not been adequately studied. This chapter focuses on affective SGs and their use in GLAM institutions to contribute to improving their services. A review of SGs and aspects related to the integration of affective computing (AC) for developing affective SGs are also presented.

The “Studio of art designing” develops and publishes electronic creative education programs for children and young people. All virtual kits represent miniature programs each designed for a small but clear task. The main purpose of each construction kit is to reveal the meaning of some aspect of the creative process. Virtual construction kits suggest the user making their own work of art. However, this creative process is done with the help of means and methods that develop the user’s thinking. Thus, the user gets to know this phenomenon “from the inside.” Virtual kits have found application in textbooks for a comprehensive school and as an accompaniment to museum projects. Projects related to the Russian Avant-Garde, antique vase-painting, steampunk, infographics, animation, “laterna magica” and visual storytelling are used in many secondary schools and museums in Russia.

Resumen
This chapter discusses the ways in which museums and heritage sites have adapted to the need to create technology-based experiences in recent decades culminating in the intensive online provision during the COVID period. The aim of both online and live visits should be as inclusive as possible of different audiences, stimulating interesting, rich, multi-cultural experiences that encourage re-visitation or at least recommendation to others. Ideally, sites should create meaningful as well as memorable experiences. This process includes several aspects and is very complex requiring the combination and harmonisation of education, heritage interpretation, marketing skills, and local initiatives. This chapter uses case studies to analyse the extent to which museums are rising to these challenges above, including the principles of the so-called ‘new museology', the need for more innovative technology to create visitor experiences, and COVID-19.

Based on the “learning by designing” approach, this chapter illustrates how media competence can be developed, what didactic design is necessary, and what features this design possesses for teaching media competence in university. The “Natural History Museum Berlin project” is used as an example of this. In this project, during the 2009 summer term, students of the Carl von Ossietzky Universität in cooperation with the Natural History Museum Berlin developed media products (magazine articles, audio and video podcasts) in which they explored and reflected on the topic of “knowledge transfer” in terms of constructivism in an authentic context. The closeness to research activities at the university, and especially at the Department of Continuing Education and Education Management, is one of the essential aspects.

Resumen
Mining activities in the territory of central Slovakia have left many monuments of technical, architectural, and urbanistic character. These are rich in socio-cultural traditions, too. They formed a significant component of cultural heritage. The study aims to monitor the heritage use in selected localities of Banská Bystrica and Špania Dolina in experience-based local tourism. The starting point was both institutionalized activitie (e.g. museums) and the activities of civic associations. We have used the techniques of participatory observation and semi-standardized interviews with local government representatives and administrators of the researched events in repeated ethnological research. The first part of the study mentions theoretical and methodological aspects of mountain sites usage in tourism. The second part presents selected examples of good practice - from expositions and exhibitions realized in interactive form, educational trails, animations to the elaboration of mining issue in festivals and the socio-cultural calendar of the village. Technical monuments enriched with experiences and stories with the possibility of involving tourists in old technological procedures, or in monitoring the underground working environment of miners, etc., together with consistent popularization, give the presumption that interest in this part of cultural heritage will increase.

Resumen
The educational goal of teaching fine arts is to adopt visual literacy and visual expressiveness. Learning by means of information and communication technologies (ICT) involves the use of digital devices for the effective and creative extension of knowledge. The production of electronic educational materials is increasing daily, and thanks to the Internet, it is available on almost all ICT devices. In this paper virtual museums are presented as educational contents of ICT in the teaching of fine arts, as well as their method of application in teaching. The contents presented by virtual museums provide an interactive and non- interactive method of learning and exploration. The interactive educational content of virtual museums is often in the form of educational applications or websites that can be found on ICT and have well-intended educational goals. The contemporary approach and use of ICT in the teaching of fine arts provides new learning opportunities that focus on the aesthetic experience and theoretical aspect of visual content. Given that it takes less time to adopt pictorial content than to adopt verbal content, today’s approach to fine arts education involves the use of ICT.

Resumen
Museums as cultural institutions certainly reflect the sociocultural transformations of the new era and are changing with the new reality. Except for that, a museum is, by definition, an institution of memory, a keeper of history, it is based on adoption: the collection, successiveness and actualisation of past experience. What is perceived as innovation by contemporary society may have historical roots and be an actualisation of innovations of a bygone era. Modern museum development recalls a global project undertaken by Russian avant-garde artists in the early 20th century, and implying the institutional modernisation of museums. This study addresses a project taken on by avant-garde artists for the modernisation of museums in the context of general cultural construction, in cooperation with the Soviet Government. The research methodology is based on a conjunction of a historical study and culturological analysis, primarily the concept of the institutional approach. The study consisted in looking through archival documents: The Fund of the People’s Commissariat for Education and its departments (declarations, provisions, resolutions, decrees, minutes of meetings, correspondence, protocols and statements of estimates, inventory books of the State Museum Fund etc.), personal funds of artists and cultural figures, their theoretical works, articles, correspondence. A holistic inter-disciplinary approach combining historical and culturological analysis with prospects for contemporary sociocultural development and the role of museums is seen as a promising novelty of the research. Russian avantgardism as an artistic and sociocultural phenomenon has remained of great interest for a century. Different studies shed light only on separate aspects of this vast topic in different scientific contexts. The examination of the museum project by avant-garde artists under this study allows us to conclude that they were the first to undertake the institutional modernisation of museums by considering them in the focus of new demands of time and society, innovative programmes as forms of personal initiatives and experiments expressed in the broad public space of artistic culture.
