Texto completoThis work studies how the spatial dimension is elaborated in six theatre plays produced between 2006 and 2016 by Palestinians and how these texts interact with the real space within which they unfold. Because of the strong constraints imposed on Palestinians’ mobility, the practice of territory embodies an experience. This alters the conditions and choices of production and theatre offers a space to tell this experience. In this body of texts, testimony takes center stage in the form of staged autobiography. The text therefore becomes a literary object, rather than a medium for memory. Self-narrative allows Palestinians to express their exiles in both geographic and psychological terms, by using the form of the monologue. In their stories, the characters are so affected by this experience of territory that they end up being conflated with the space they describe. The spatial dimension in the texts is elaborated from literary figures. The image of imprisonment expresses in a direct manner the links between text and reality. It participates in the questioning of the myth of Palestine that fills the texts of this decade. It is indeed in real and textual space that the identity dynamics of Palestinians are being built

Texto completoIn 1968, J. Milnor introduced the Picard-Lefschetz monodromy of a complex hypersurface with an isolated singularity. Subsequently, E. Brieskorn asked if this monodromy is always finite. In 1972, Lê Dúng Trâng proved that the answer is positive in the case of irreducible analytic germs of plane curves. At this time, examples of plane curves with two branches and finite monodromy were known. In 1973, N. A?Campo produced the first example of a germ of plane curve with two branches and infinite monodromy. Therefore, the simplest and still open problem in this context is to determine whether the monodromy of a plane curve with two branches is finite or infinite. The present work consists in determining, in several situations, the minimal polynomial of the monodromy for germs of plane analytic curves with two branches, whose genera are less or equal than two, wich allows us to decide its finiteness
Maslowski, Krystyna. "Le personnage dans le théâtre de Witold Gombrowicz". Paris 3, 2008. http://www.theses.fr/2008PA030079.
Texto completoTheatricality is omnipresent in the whole of Witold Gombrowicz’s work. It is at the root of his dialectic of conventional form and immaturity ; it is the source of his vision of the artificial man - of the “man as actor”. Studying characters in his plays seems to be the best way of grasping, through the playwright’s characteristic approach, both the problematisation of his characters, as is typical in modern drama as a whole since the end of the 19th century, and the representation man has of himself in the desert of a meaningless world. Gombrowiczian characters reduced to voices, to silhouettes, or to grotesque creatures do not refer to “characters” any more. They are not the reflection of individualised human beings, or those with a psychological or moral dimension. As if spectral creatures, reflections of the exaggerated subjectivity of the protagonist, these puppets lead us into the polyphonic monodrama of man without God. But as the protagonist deforms the other characters by reducing them to mirror images, he is himself also deformed by them, as well as by the dramatic situation. It is clearly a “theatre of the ego” that echoes the theatre of the world, and also role-playing, the round of masks, and the never-ending distortion of “man as actor”. Nevertheless, in spite of the duels, the murders, the strategies of manipulation put on stage, these plays seem to invite the spectator-reader to the regeneration of a desire for brotherhood in man existing only towards and for man. In the end, they put forward, through the vehicle of their dramatic characters, the playful celebration of human theatricality, of man in his relationship with others, and of man as the subject of modern rhapsody

Texto completoThe study of singular points in planar analytic vector fields is a problem almost completely solved. The only case that remains open is the monodromic one, in which the orbits turn around the singularity. In analytic differential systems, if p is a monodromic singular point, then p is either a center or a focus. The center-focus problem consists in determining conditions for distinguishing between a center and a focus. The main purpose of this work is the investigation of the center-focus problem in analytic differential systems with nilpotent singular points. This problem is still widely studied, since there is no algorithm for such case, comparable to the Lyapunov method for the case of non-degenerate singularities. We studied two different methods. The first makes use of the normal form theory and deals with the problem in the classic way, splitting it up in two parts: the investigation of the monodromy and the study of the stability. The latter investigates the differential analytic systems with nilpotent singular points as limit of differential systems with nondegenerate singularities. In order to evaluate the efficiency and understand possible obstructions, we applied the two techniques to concrete families of differential systems

This thesis consists of three independent parts. The first part studies arboreal representations of Galois groups - an arithmetic dynamics analogue of Tate modules - and proves some large image results, in particular confirming a conjecture of Odoni. Given a field K, a separable polynomial [mathematical expression], and an element [mathematical expression], the full backward orbit [mathematical expression] has a natural action of the Galois group [mathematical expression]. For a fixed [mathematical expression] with [mathematical expression] and for most choices of t, the orbit [mathematical expression] has the structure of complete rooted [mathematical expression]. The Galois action on [mathematical expression] thus defines a homomorphism [mathematical expression]. The map [mathematical expression] is the arboreal representation attached to f and t.
In analogy with Serre's open image theorem, one expects [mathematical expression] to hold for most f, t, but until very recently for most degrees d not a single example of a degree d polynomial [mathematical expression] with surjective [mathematical expression],t was known. Among other results, we construct such examples in all sufficiently large even degrees. The second part concerns monodromy of hyperplane section of curves. Given a geometrically integral proper curve [mathematical expression], consider the generic hyperplane [mathematical expression]. The intersection [mathematical expression] is the spectrum of a finite separable field extension [mathematical expression] of degree [mathematical expression]. The Galois group [mathematical expression] is known as the sectional monodromy group of X. When char K = 0, the group [mathematical expression] equals [mathematical expression] for all curves X.
This result has numerous applications in algebraic geometry, in particular to the degree-genus problem. However, when char K > 0, the sectional monodromy groups can be smaller. We classify all nonstrange nondegenerate curves [mathematical expression], for [mathematical expression] such that [mathematical expression]. Using similar methods we also completely classify Galois group of generic trinomials, a problem studied previously by Abhyankar, Cohen, Smith, and Uchida. In part three of the thesis we derive bounds for the number of [mathematical expression]-points on simple abelian varieties over finite fields; these improve upon the Weil bounds. For example, when q = 3, 4 the Weil bound gives [ .. ] for all abelian varieties A. We prove that [mathematical expression], [mathematical expression] hold for all but finitely many simple abelian varieties A (with an explicit list of exceptions).

Texto completoIn this thesis, we give an explicit computation of the monodromy representations of "cyclotomic" analogs of the Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov differential system. These are representations of the type B braid group B_n1. We show how the representations of the braid group B_n obtained using quantum groups and universal R-matrices may be enhanced to representations of B_n1 using dynamical twists. Then, we show how these "algebraic" representations may be identified with the above "analytic" monodromy representations

Texto completoThis thesis is subdivided in two parts. In the first part, we introduce a new condition, called toric-additivity, on a family of abelian varieties degenerating to a semi-abelian scheme over a normal crossing divisor. The condition depends only on the Tate module TlA(Ksep) of the generic fibre, for a prime l invertible on the base. We show that toric-additivity is a sufficient condition for the existence of a Néron model if the base is a Q-scheme. In the case of the jacobian of a smooth curve with semi-stable reduction, we obtain the same result without assumptions on the base characteristic; and we show that toric-additivity is also necessary for the existence of a Néron model, when the base is a Q-scheme. In the second part, we consider the case of a family of nodal curves over a discrete valuation ring, having split singularities. We say that such a family is semi factorial if every line bundle on the generic fibre extends to a line bundle on the total space. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for semi- factoriality, in terms of combinatorics of the dual graph of the special fibre. In particular, we show that performing one blow-up with center the non regular closed points yields a semi-factorial model of the generic fibre. As an application, we extend the result of Raynaud relating Néron models of smooth curves and Picard functors of their regular models to the case of nodal curves having a semi-factorial model

In this memory we study the Chow groups of a smooth and projective variety over a complete field through the study of the cycle morphism. Concretely, we construct a morphism, the so called reduction morphism (see def. 4.2.1), with domain in the Chow's groups of the variety and image into one quotient of the Chow's groups of its reduction. Differently to the l-adic cycle morphism, this morphism does not depend on the prime number l. (lemma 4.3.3) and permits the description of the image of the l-adic cycle morphism for varieties with totally degenerate reduction (see def. 5.2.1 and theorem 5.4.4).
There are two basic ideas in this memory: The first consists in working with varieties with strictly semi-stable reduction (see def. 3.2.2) and from combinations of the Chow's groups of the components of the reduction variety construct Z-structures and operators over them. The second idea consists in the ralationship of this operators over the Z-structures with the monodromy associated to the cohomology of the variety.
The existence of one no-trivial monodromy is a particularity of the varieties with totally degenerate reduction.
Proposition 5.6.8 gives us the descomposition of the monodromy operator over the the Rham cohomology.
Finally, the memory ends with a chapter dedicated to the application of the theory to
the analytic torus and the product of Mumford's curves.
