Resumen
Plant species are known to harbor large number of endophytes, which stays in plant tissues as symbionts. These endophytes secrete large array of bioactive compounds that have potency against certain diseases with no side effects. We have collected leaf samples of the Moringa oleifera plant from the Pakistan Forest Institute, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan for the isolation of beneficial endophytes. The strains isolated from the leaves of M. oleifera were coded with MOL and tested for antimicrobial, antifungal, germicidal, phytotoxic, insecticidal, cytotoxic, and anti-inflammatory activities. The isolates, MOL1, MOL16, MOL19, and MOL21, possessed antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, whereas MOL7 inhibited 55% of the growth of Escherichia coli. MOL3 inhibited the growth of E. coli, S. aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The strains, MOL1 and MOL7, showed antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae, while the strains, MOL11 and MOL17, showed activity against Verticillium chlamydosporium. The isolates, MOL3, MOL7, MOL9, MOL15, MOL17, MOL18, and MOL19, inhibited the growth of Lemna minor (duckweed) at 100 μg/ml. MOL2 exhibited strong activity in the brine shrimp assay, while MOL1, MOL2, MOL5, MOL6, MOL12, MOL17, MOL19, and MOL20 showed insecticidal, and MOL3 demonstrated larvicidal and antileishmanial activity. The isolated potent endophytes were identified as Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Tricoderma, Rhizoctonia, Mucor, Alternaria, Pestalotiopsis, Acremonium, and Cladosporium through morphological and microscopic characteristics of the colonies.

Resumen
Currently, the lack of protein source feed has become a pressing issue. Moringa oleifera leaf powder (MOLP) has good potential for the development of protein-derived feeds due to its good protein quality and abundance, but little is known about its effects on broiler growth performance and cecal microbiota. In this study, the chickens were fed different rates of MOLP (1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, and 9%) instead of the rape seed cake, and the effects of different levels of MOLP on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and cecal microbiota of the broilers were evaluated at two different growth stages (day 28 and day 56). In terms of growth performance, the best results were obtained at the 3% MOLP level in the early stages (p < 0.05). In terms of carcass characteristics, in the early stage, the level of 5% MOLP had the best effect; in the later stage, 5% MOLP also had the best effect. In terms of cecal microbial changes, the alpha diversity analysis revealed that 5% MOLP enhanced the richness and diversity of broiler intestinal flora. At the phylum level, the addition of 5% MOLP adjusted the relative abundance of Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes to a level close to that of the A1 group on day 28, while 5% MOLP significantly reduced the relative abundance of Bacteroidetes (p < 0.05) compared to the A2 group on day 56, and the relative abundance of Firmicutes was still higher in the D2 group than in the A2 group (p < 0.05). At the genus level, MOLP addition consistently and significantly increased the relative abundance of Bacteroides (p < 0.05), except for 3% on day 28 and 1% on day 56. For Oscillospira, increasing MOLP levels in the pre- and post-period resulted in a significant decrease in the relative abundance of Oscillospira (p < 0.05). In conclusion, MOLP helps to enhance growth performance and carcass characteristics and improve the cecal microbial structure of broilers. The recommended rate of MOLP addition for broilers is 5% in both the early and late stages.

Resumen
This study was designed to evaluate the effect of using different levels of phytobiotic containing Moringa oleifera (M. oleifera) leaf powder (MOLP) on broiler chickens body growth performance parameters, intestinal microbial population, and the humoral immune response. Day-old Hubbard broiler chicks (n = 200) were randomly allocated into 4 treatment diet. Basal diet was supplied with treatments T0, T1, T2 and T3 representing (0, 1%, 5% and 7.5% MOLP); respectively. Chickens were kept under observation for 5 weeks. Body performance parameters, total viable bacterial and coliform counts and humoral immune response to Newcastle disease (ND) virus vaccine were detected using the haemagglutination inhibition (HI) test. The results revealed significant (P < 0.05) improvement in performance parameters in groups supplemented with dietary MOLP. However, the best significant (P < 0.05) performance was observed in the group fed 1% MOLP. There was no significant (P < 0.05) difference among treatments considering the total viable intestinal bacterial and coliform counts. Significant (P < 0.05) increase in the means of HI in dietary MOLP supplemented groups was observed, where the highest means were seen in 1% MOLP treated birds. In conclusion, dietary supplementation with MOLP could improve the performance parameters and the immune response while reducing the total viable intestinal bacterial and coliform counts of broiler chickens. The study recommended using of dietary level of 1% MOLP to improve performance, intestinal health, and immune competence.

Resumen
Moringa oleifera leaves (MOL) are a new food resource, rich in functional factors. MOL polysaccharides are important active macromolecules within MOL. However, there are problems, such as low extraction rates and lack of evidence for functional activity. Therefore, in this experiment, single-factor experiments were carried out using MOL powder as the raw material, and the Plackett–Burman test was used to screen the significantly influential test factors. The extraction process of MOL polysaccharide was optimized by response surface methodology. The insulin resistance alleviating activity of MOLP polysaccharides was initially explored. The results showed that the extraction of Moringa oleifera leaves crude polysaccharides (MOLP) by ultrasonic assisted cellulase enzymatic digestion was (17.03 ± 1.03)%, and the obtained MOLP was a crude polysaccharide with an average molecular weight (Mw) of 279.48 kDa, consisting of fucose, rhamnose, arabinose, galactose, glucose, xylose, mannose, galacturonic acid, and glucuronic acid. MOLP had an IC50 value of 8.02 mg/mL for α-glucosidase and scavenging activity against free radicals such as ABTS, DPPH, hydroxyl radicals, and superoxide anion with an IC50 value of 0.21 mg/mL 0.31 mg/mL 0.97 mg/mL 0.49 mg/mL. At the same time, MOLP significantly enhanced the glucose consumption, glycogen synthesis, CAT, SOD, GSH-Px activity, and reduced the MDA and ROS content in high glucose-induced insulin-resistant HepG2 (IR-HepG2) cells. This experiment improved the extraction rate of MOLP and demonstrated that MOLP has antioxidant activity and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity, which can alleviate the insulin resistance of high glucose-induced HepG2 cells. It provides partial data support for the possible hypoglycemic effect of MOLP by alleviating oxidative stress, and also provides new ideas for the in-depth study of basic research and industrial application of MOLP.

Resumen
Moringa oleifera leaf powder (MOLP) is a rich source of antioxidants, protein, minerals, vitamins, and various phytochemicals and has been used to combat malnutrition in many countries. However, despite its many benefits, MOLP has low a solubility in water, necessitating the development of ways to address this issue. To improve the solubility of MOLP, solid-dispersed Moringa oleifera leaf powders (SDMOLPs) have been developed through freeze-drying, melting, microwave irradiation, and solvent evaporation methods using polyethylene glycols (PEG4000 and PEG6000) (1:1) as hydrophilic carriers. The solid dispersions were evaluated for their proximate composition using standard analytical procedures. Elemental composition was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). Water absorption capacity (WAC) and water-solubility were further evaluated as functional properties. Proximate composition revealed that MOLP and SDMOLPs were rich in protein, energy, carbohydrate, ash, and fat contents. MOLP solid dispersions are a major source of minerals (Ca, Mg, Cu, and Zn), and can be used to alleviate many mineral deficiencies. All solid dispersions had significantly higher (p < 0.05) solubilities (ranging from 54 to 64%) and WAC (ranging from 468.86 to 686.37%), relative to that of pure MOLP. The increased solubility of SDMOLPs may be attributed to the hydrogen bonds and intermolecular interactions between MOLP and the hydrophilic carriers. The results indicate that the solid dispersion technique can be successfully employed to improve the solubility of MOLP. And the solid-dispersed MOLPs with enhanced functional properties may be useful as functional ingredients in foods and beverages, dietary supplements, or nutraceutical formulations.

Resumen
Fortifying popular, relatively affordable, but nutrient-limited staple foods, such as bread, with Moringa oleifera leaf powder (MOLP), could contribute significantly to addressing under nutrition, especially protein and mineral deficiencies, which are particularly prevalent among a large proportion of populations in sub-Saharan African countries. The current study aimed to determine the effect of MOLP on the physical quality, nutritional composition and consumer acceptability of white and brown breads. The texture, colour and nutritional composition of white and brown bread samples substituted with 5% and 10% (w/w) MOLPs were analysed using standard methods and compared with the control (0% MOLP). A consumer panel evaluated the acceptability of the bread samples using a nine-point hedonic scale. Bread samples became darker as the concentration of MOLP was increased, whilst nutrient levels increased. The overall consumer acceptability of the bread samples decreased with increasing concentrations of MOLP. However, brown bread samples were significantly more acceptable compared with corresponding white bread samples (p < 0.05). Under the experiment conditions of the current study, it seems that the bread containing 5% MOLP can be used to contribute significantly to addressing malnutrition, with respect to protein deficiency.

Resumen
The utilisation of Moringa oleifera leaves powder (MOLP) to improve the nutritional properties and inhibit lipid oxidation and the proliferation of microorganisms in ground beef during cold storage was examined. The effects of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8% MOLP on the nutritional properties (proximate composition, total phenolic and total flavonoid content), thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), microbial composition, physicochemical characteristics (pH value, colour attributes, and cooking properties), and sensory analysis of ground beef were investigated. The findings showed that ash, protein, polyphenolic compounds, pH, colour, and microbial growth increased significantly, while moisture, fat content, and TBARS decreased significantly, with an increase in the concentration of MOLP during cold storage. Moderate levels (0.2 and 0.4%) of MOLP did not affect the sensory attributes of stored ground beef. Evidently, MOLP can be utilised as a natural preservative in ground beef to improve the nutritional value and inhibit lipid oxidation.

Resumen
Abstract Meat is a highly nutritious food rich in protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals. Nevertheless, chemical reactions and microorganisms might affect the quality of nutritional constituent of meat products. This study investigated the influence of adding Moringa oleifera leaves powder (MOLP) on the nutritional, technological properties, and consumer acceptability of mutton patties. Four treatments of mutton patties with 0, 0.3, 0.6, and 0.9% of MOLP were produced. The prepared patties (raw and cooked) were evaluated for quality attributes such as proximate composition, total phenolic content (TPC), cooking properties (cooking yield and cooking loss), physical characteristics (colour and water holding capacity [WHC]), thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), pH value, and sensory quality. The incorporation of MOLP into the mutton patties significantly increased (p < 0.05) protein, fat, ash contents, TPC, pH, WHC, and cooking yield. However, moisture content, TBARS, and colour decreased. Most sensory likability scores of patty samples with up to 0.3% of MOLP were comparable to those of the control sample. Evidently, the inclusion of 0.3% of MOLP produces mutton patties with high sensory desirability.

The paper studies the result of Zhu21 and establishes a relationship between the efficiency in data envelopment analysis (DEA) and the pareto optimality under multiple objective linear programming (MOLP). It is shown that the DEA/preference structure models in Zhu21 can be derived by traditional MOLP techniques. Incorporation of tradeoffs or value judgments is a direct result of using MOLP techniques. New uses of DEA are developed and described. The approach is applied to a set of Chinese cities.

Resumen
Micronutrient deficiency is raising concern worldwide, especially among children and pregnant women in Africa, Southern Asia, and certain developing countries, posing a significant risk to the nutritional status. This study aimed to develop cake fortified with Moringa leaf powder (MOLP), ripe banana flour (RBF) and assessed the effect of MOLP and RBF on the nutritional composition as well as consumer acceptability. The nutritional, mineral, vitamin A and sensory attributes of MOLP and RBF fortified cakes were assessed. Proximate analysis results showed that the addition of MOLP and RBF significantly increased from 5.79% to 8.90% for protein, 1.25% to 1.66% for ash, 2.70% to 6.98% for fiber, and 53.0% to 60.88% for carbohydrate. However, the fat and moisture content decreased from 20.16% to 13.06% and 17.77% to 13.54%, respectively. The mineral contents (phosphorus, potassium, iron, and zinc) increased significantly in the fortified cake compared to the unfortified control. The vitamin A content (3.40–5.62 mg/100 g) of the fortified cakes was significantly (p < 0.05) higher than the vitamin A (1.62 mg/100 g) content of the unfortified cake. Although MOLP and RBF substitution raised most of the nutritional contents, the maximum consumer acceptability was recorded in the unfortified control, which was statistically similar to C2 (1.5% MOLP and 2% RBF) substitution in terms of shape, sweetness, flavor, mouth feel, and overall acceptability. The results indicated that cake supplemented with 1.5% MOLP and 2% RBF provided the enriched nutritional quality and potentially contributed to the improvement of food and nutritional security of the vulnerable populations. Furthermore, utilizing ripe bananas with peels in cake recipes will help to encourage the recovery of food waste for functional food preparation.

Resumen
High fiber levels (165 g neutral detergent fibre (NDF)/kg DM) in Moringa oleifera leaf powder (MOLP) could limit its utilization as a nutraceutical source in Jumbo quail diets. Pre-treating MOLP with exogenous fibrolytic multi-enzymes could reduce the nutrient-encapsulating effect of non-starch polysaccharides and subsequently increase nutrient and bioactive compound utilization. Thus, this study investigated the effect of pre-treating dietary MOLP with an exogenous fibrolytic enzyme mixture on some physiological parameters and meat quality characteristics in Jumbo quail. A total of 396 Jumbo quail were randomly distributed to 6 experimental diets, with 6 replicate pens each and 11 birds per replicate. The experimental diets were: CON = a standard grower diet (156.5 g NDF /kg) without MOLP; ENZ0 = CON + 10% MOLP; and CON + MOLP pre-treated with 0.25% (ENZ25), 0.50% (ENZ50), 0.75% (ENZ75) and 1% (ENZ100) fibrolytic enzymes. There were no significant linear or quadratic effects on growth performance parameters and carcass characteristics in response to incremental levels of fibrolytic enzymes. However, neutrophils linearly increased, while breast meat lightness and 24 h hue angle linearly declined with enzyme levels. Quadratic effects were observed on gizzard weights and 1 h hue angle in response to enzyme levels. All the hemato-biochemical values fell within the normal ranges for healthy quail. It was concluded that the maximum fibrolytic multi-enzyme application rate of 1% may not have been adequate to enhance feed utilization and positively affect weight gain in Jumbo quail, thus higher levels may need to be investigated further.

Resumen
Abstract A multi-objective linear programming problem (ITF-MOLP) is presented in this paper, in which coefficients of both the objective functions and constraints are interval-typed triangular fuzzy numbers. An algorithm of the ITF-MOLP is provided by introducing the cut set of interval-typed triangular fuzzy numbers and the dominance possibility criterion. In particular, for a given level, the ITF-MOLP is converted to the maximization of the sum of membership degrees of each objective in ITF-MOLP, whose membership degrees are established based on the deviation from optimal solutions of individual objectives, and the constraints are transformed to normal inequalities by utilizing the dominance possibility criterion when compared with two interval-typed triangular fuzzy numbers. Then the equivalent linear programming model is obtained which could be solved by Matlab toolbox. Finally several examples are provided to illuminate the proposed method by comparing with the existing methods and sensitive analysis demonstrates the stability of the optimal solution.

Resumen
Kaur and Kumar, 2013, use Mehar’s method to solve a kind of fully fuzzy linear programming (FFLP) problems withLRfuzzy parameters. In this paper, a new kind of FFLP problems is introduced with a solution method proposed. The FFLP is converted into a multiobjective linear programming (MOLP) according to the order relation for comparing theLRflat fuzzy numbers. Besides, the classical fuzzy programming method is modified and then used to solve the MOLP problem. Based on the compromised optimal solution to the MOLP problem, the compromised optimal solution to the FFLP problem is obtained. At last, a numerical example is given to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method.

Resumen
Bioactive compounds present in the powdered leaves of matcha green tea (Camellia sinensis L.) (MGTP) and moringa (Moringa oleifera) (MOLP) seem to be related to health benefits due to their antioxidant properties. The growing accessibility of these powders has led to their being more widely used in food production. The aim of this study was to evaluate the total phenolic content (TPC) and antioxidant capacity (AC) of white chocolate (WCh) supplemented with MGTP and MOLP. AC was determined by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), cupric ion-reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC), and ferric-reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assays, whereas TPC was determined by the Folin–Ciocalteu (FC) method. Both additives were incorporated at four levels (1, 2, 3 and 4%) in two chocolate processing steps (conching and tempering). Additionally, the amounts of phenolic acids, tocopherols, and carotenoids in WCh samples enriched by MGTP and MOLP were determined to explain their influence on AC. The results showed that the chocolates supplemented with MGTP were characterized by higher antioxidant properties than those with MOLP. In turn, MOLP significantly increased the content of lipophilic antioxidants in chocolates, tocopherols and carotenoids, which also exhibit pro-health effects. Furthermore, the incorporation of these additives during the tempering process was more relevant to the improvement of the antioxidant properties of WCh.

Resumen
There are successful cases in lean manual assembly lines; however, in some cases, such as the ease of assembly in quicker cycle time, the designs are not satisfactory and must be transformed to semi-automation. This research studies human-robot task allocation when designing for semi-automation considering not only time-cost effectiveness as in the existing research but also assembly difficulty and ergonomic issues. A proposed methodology optimally determines what tasks should be performed by humans or robots, at which station, and in what sequence. A multi-objective linear programming (MOLP) model is proposed to simultaneously minimize total operating cost, cycle time, and ergonomic difficulty. Solving the model has two approaches: with and without optimal weights. The methodology is applied to a Lego-car assembly line. To illustrate the benefits of the proposed MOLP, a comparison between it and three single-objective models is made. Results show that the optimal-weight MOLP yields a better performance (a shorter cycle time, a lower cost, and especially, a significant ergonomic improvement) when compared to the other MOLP and single-objective models.

Resumen
In this paper, a method using the concept of l1-norm is proposed to find all the efficient solutions of a 0-1 Multi-Objective Linear Programming (MOLP) problem. These solutions are specified without generating all feasible solutions. Corresponding to a feasible solution of a 0-1 MOLP problem, a vector is constructed, the components of which are the values of objective functions. The method consists of a one-stage algorithm. In each iteration of this algorithm a 0-1 single objective linear programming problem is solved. We have proved that optimal solutions of this 0-1 single objective linear programming problem are efficient solutions of the 0-1 MOLP problem. Corresponding to efficient solutions which are obtained in an iteration, some constraints are added to the 0-1 single objective linear programming problem of the next iteration. Using a theorem we guarantee that the proposed algorithm generates all the efficient solutions of the 0-1 MOLP problem. Numerical results are presented for an example taken from the literature to illustrate the proposed algorithm.

Resumen
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the deadliest types of cancer with a mortality rate of 8.9% of the total cancer deaths in Indonesia. This cancer can be caused by exposure to hepatitis B and C viruses, NAFLD, autoimmune, diabetes to sporadic genetic diseases. The development of chronic HCC is generally preceded by the occurrence of severe liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. One of the genes that play a role in fibrosis in the incidence of HCC is TGF-β1. As a pro-fibrotic cytokine, the presence of high levels of TGF-β1 may be due to oxidative stress activity early in cancer development. One of the natural ingredients with lots of phytochemical content in the form of antioxidants that can reduce this activity is Moringa plant (Moringa oleifera). In this study we used a computational approach using molecular docking on the results of the GC-MS and LC-HRMS tests on Moringa oleifera Seed Oil (MOSEIL) and Moringa oleifera Leaves Powder (MOLP) which are oil and flour products made from moringa. The results of the identification of phytochemical compounds through the GC-MS test showed that the dominant compound in MOSEIL was oleic acid (37.546%) and in MOLP was ester (8.802%) when using n-hexane as solvent. The percentage yield of the dominant compound from the LC-HRMS test in MOSEIL was nitro compound (72.55%) and at MOLP was alcohol (45.87%). These compounds are known to have effects as hepatoprotective agents through antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fibrotic activities that can reduce hepatic oxidative stress as an early trigger of cancer development. Through molecular docking, MOSEIL and MOLP showed a lower level of binding affinity when compared to TGF-β1 control drugs such as metformin. This data implies MOSEIL and MOLP have a strong interaction to TGF-β1 than the control drug. The therapeutic potential of the hepatoprotective properties of MOSEIL and MOLP makes them one of the most-promising therapeutic agents in the initial step of renewable cancer treatment therapy.

Resumen
The effect of pre-treating Moringa oleifera leaf powder (MOLP) with different levels of polyethylene glycol (PEG) on the growth performance, serum biochemistry, hematology, and meat quality parameters of Jumbo quail was evaluated. Two-week-old quail chicks (n = 432; 239.6 ± 6.48 g live-weight) were randomly allocated to six diets formulated by incorporating (10% w/w) untreated MOLP (PEG0) or MOLP pre-treated with PEG at 2.5% (PEG25), 5% (PEG50), 7.5% (PEG75), and 10% (PEG100) (w/w) into a standard grower diet (CON). Overall feed intake linearly increased with PEG levels. At week 4, significant quadratic trends were recorded for weight gain and feed conversion efficiency (FCE) but, at week 5, FCE linearly declined as PEG levels increased. Hemoglobin, phosphorus, and albumin showed quadratic trends, while calcium and chroma (1 h post-mortem) linearly declined in response to PEG levels. Diet PEG50 promoted a higher shear force value (2.41) than diets PEG0 and PEG25. The PEG50 diet promoted a similar (p > 0.05) shear force as diet CON. Based on the quadratic response for weight gain, the optimal PEG pre-treatment level was calculated to be 5.9%. It was concluded that MOLP condensed tannins negatively affect growth performance and should be ameliorated to enhance the utility of this nutraceutical source for Jumbo quail.

Resumen
Classic linear assignment method is a multi-criteria decision-making approach in which criteria are weighted and each rank is assigned to a choice. In this study, to abandon the requirement of calculating the weight of criteria and use decision attributes prioritizing and also to be able to assign a rank to more than one choice, a multi-objective linear programming (MOLP) method is suggested. The objective function of MOLP is defined for each attribute and MOLP is solved based on absolute priority and comprehensive criteria methods. For solving the linear programming problems we apply a recurrent neural network (RNN). Indeed, the Lyapunov stability of the proposed model is proved. Results of comparing the proposed method with TOPSIS, VICOR, and MORA methods which are the most common multi-criteria decision schemes show that the proposed approach is more compatible with these methods.

Resumen
Multi-objective simplex algorithm computes all efficient extreme points of a multi-objective linear programming (MOLP) problem. For MOLP problem with large number of efficient extreme points, a filtering technique is necessary to present a small representative part of efficient extreme points. For this, we propose a filtering technique among efficient extreme points. In modern agriculture, we have to consider series of conflicting optimization criteria. For this reason, optimal cropping pattern, that is, allocation of land to various crops by making use of limited resources has become major challenges to get optimum return. To overcome this challenge, we illustrate the application of MOLP through a real life oriented problem of agricultural sector of Bangladesh. We also solve this problem by a self developed computer software which is based on multi-objective simplex algorithm and our proposed filtering technique. Dhaka Univ. J. This paper, studies the sensitivity analysis of weakly efficient extreme solutions in multiple objective linear programming (MOLP). The aim of the paper is to compute the set of the parameters (corresponding to one coefficient) for which a given extreme point is a weakly efficient solution. We also focus on the properties of the parameters set by proving convexity and closeness of this set. Moreover, we compare the results of the sensitivity analysis of efficiency and of weak efficiency in MOLP.

Resumen
Moringa oleifera leaf powder (MOLP) has been identified as the most important functional ingredient owing to its rich nutritional profile and healthy effects. The solubility and functional properties of this ingredient can be enhanced through solid dispersion technology. This study aimed to investigate the effects of polyethylene glycols (PEGs) 4000 and 6000 as hydrophilic carriers and solid dispersion techniques (freeze-drying, melting, solvent evaporation, and microwave irradiation) on the crystallinity and thermal stability of solid-dispersed Moringa oleifera leaf powders (SDMOLPs). SDMOLPs were dully characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The PXRD results revealed that the solid dispersions were partially amorphous with strong diffraction peaks at 2θ values of 19° and 23°. The calorimetric and thermogravimetric curves showed that PEGs conferred greater stability on the dispersions. The FTIR studyrevealed the existence of strong intermolecular hydrogen bond interactions between MOLP and PEG functional groups. MOLP solid dispersions may be useful in functional foods and beverages and nutraceutical formulations.

Resumen
Stroke is the biggest cause of adult disability and the third biggest cause of death in the US. Stroke is a medical emergency, and the treatment given in the early hours is important in shaping the patient’s long-term recovery and prognosis. Despite the fact that substantial attention has been dedicated to this complex and difficult issue in healthcare, novel strategies such as operation research-based approaches have hardly been used to deal with the difficult challenges associated with stroke. This study proposes a novel approach with data envelopment analysis (DEA) and multi-objective linear programming (MOLP) in hospitals that provide stroke care services to select the most efficient approach, which will be a new experiment in literature perception. DEA and MOLP are widely used for performance evaluation and efficiency measurement. Despite their similarities and common concepts, the two disciplines have evolved separately. The generalised DEA (GDEA) cannot incorporate the preferences of decision-makers (DMs) preferences and historical efficiency data. In contrast, MOLP can incorporate the DM’s preferences into the decision-making process. We transform the GDEA model into MOLP through the max-ordering approach to (i) solve the problem interactively; (ii) use the step method (STEM) and consider DM’s preferences; (iii) eliminate the need for predetermined preference information; and (iv) apply the most preferred solution (MPS) to identify the most efficient approach. A case study of hospitals that provide stroke care services is taken as an example to illustrate the potential application of the proposed approach method.

Resumen
Fresh pasta was formulated by replacing wheat semolina with 0, 5, 10, and 15 g/100 g (w/w) of Moringa oleifera L. leaf powder (MOLP). The samples (i.e., M0, M5, M10, and M15 as a function of the substitution level) were cooked by boiling. The changes in the phenolic bioaccessibility and the in vitro starch digestibility were considered. On the cooked-to-optimum samples, by means of ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight (UHPLC-QTOF) mass spectrometry, 152 polyphenols were putatively annotated with the greatest content recorded for M15 pasta, being 2.19 mg/g dry matter (p < 0.05). Multivariate statistics showed that stigmastanol ferulate (VIP score = 1.22) followed by isomeric forms of kaempferol (VIP scores = 1.19) and other phenolic acids (i.e., schottenol/sitosterol ferulate and 24-methylcholestanol ferulate) were the most affected compounds through the in vitro static digestion process. The inclusion of different levels of MOLP in the recipe increased the slowly digestible starch fractions and decreased the rapidly digestible starch fractions and the starch hydrolysis index of the cooked-to-optimum samples. The present results showed that MOLP could be considered a promising ingredient in fresh pasta formulation.

Resumen
Most Multiple Objective Linear Programming (MOLP) algorithms working in the decision variable space, are based on the simplex algorithm or interior-point method of Linear Programming. However, objective space based methods are becoming more and more prominent. This paper investigates three algorithms namely the Extended Multiobjective Simplex Algorithm (EMSA), Arbel’s Affine Scaling Interior-point (ASIMOLP) algorithm and Benson’s objective space Outer Approximation (BOA) algorithm. An extensive review of these algorithms is also included. Numerical results on non-trivial MOLP problems show that EMSA and BOA are at par and superior in terms of the quality of a most preferred nondominated point to ASIMOLP. However, ASIMOLP more than holds its own in terms of computing efficiency.

Resumen
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for solving multi-objective linear programming (MOLP) with interval coefficients using positioned programming and interactive fuzzy programming approaches. Design/methodology/approach In the proposed algorithm, first, lower and upper bounds of each objective function in its feasible region will be determined. Afterwards using fuzzy approach, considering a membership function for each objective function and finally using grey linear programming, the solution for this problem will be obtained. Findings According to the presented example, in this paper, the proposed method is both simple in use and suitable for solving different problems. In the numerical example mentioned in this paper, the proposed method provides an acceptable solution for such problems. Practical implications As in most real-world situations, the coefficients of decision models are not known and exact. In this paper, the authors consider the model of MOLP with interval data, since one of the solutions to cover uncertainty is using interval theory. Originality/value Based on using grey theory and interactive fuzzy programming approaches, an appropriate method has been presented for solving MOLP problems with interval coefficients. The proposed method, against the complex methods, has less effort and offers acceptable solutions.

Resumen
Decisions in the real-world contexts are often made in the presence of multiple, conflicting, and incommensurate criteria. Multiobjective programming methods such as multiple objective linear programming (MOLP) are techniques used to solve such multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. One of the first interactive procedures to solve MOLP is STEM method. In this paper we try to improve STEM method in a way that we search a point in reduced feasible region whose criterion vector is closest to positive ideal criterion vector and furthest to negative ideal criterion vector. Therefore the presented method tries to increase the rate of satisfactoriness of the obtained solution. Finally, a numerical example for illustration of the new method is given to clarify the main results developed in this paper.

Resumen
The paper introduces a new software package, MOLPTOL, for sensitivity analysis in multi-objective linear programming. In this application, which is available for free of charge on the web page (https:// sites.google.com/view/molptol), the tolerance approach as a measure of sensitivity is used. The motivation for creating MOLPTOL is the lack of such tools to date. MOLPTOL is novel for multi-criteria decision-making methods based on sensitivity analysis. The paper presents some new computational methods for obtaining the supremal tolerances as well. Keywords: multi-objective linear programming, sensitivity analysis, computer software.

Resumen
The multiple objective simplex algorithm and its variants work in the decision variable space to find the set of all efficient extreme points of multiple objective linear programming (MOLP). Other approaches to the problem find either the entire set of all efficient solutions or a subset of them and also return the corresponding objective values (nondominated points). This paper presents an extension of the multiobjective simplex algorithm (MSA) to generate the set of all nondominated points and no redundant ones. This extended version is compared to Benson’s outer approximation (BOA) algorithm that also computes the set of all nondominated points of the problem. Numerical results on nontrivial MOLP problems show that the total number of nondominated points returned by the extended MSA is the same as that returned by BOA for most of the problems considered.

Resumen
To enhance the utilization efficiency of water and fertilizer resources, and improve agricultural ecological environment in resettlement area, a crop planting structure optimization model was established by the use of multiple objective linear programming (MOLP) method, and solved by two-phase algorithm. In this model, multiple targets, such as the economic, social and ecological benefits of this region were taken into account. The results showed that the MOLP model and its solution were feasible and practical. The optimized area of rice, corn and tobacco reduced by 16%, 100% and 76% respectively, and the optimized area of wheat and sugarcane increased by 82% and 78% compared with the current planting area. And the net economic and social benefits increased by 4% and 62%. The optimization scheme played a guiding role in the adjustment of agricultural structure, and promoted the sustainable development of agriculture in resettlement area.

Resumen
Abstract Abstract 614 We previously reported that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs) from newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) patients were abnormal. In particular, we showed that Growth Differentiation 15 (GDF15) expression was higher in MM BMMSCs than in normal BMMSCs. GDF15 is a divergent member of the human TGFβ superfamily. GDF15 overexpression has been described in numerous malignancies and its concentration is increased in the serum of patients with glioma, prostate, colorectal or pancreatic cancers. Contradictory data prevent to understand clearly GDF15 implication in pathophysiology of tumors. Furthermore, GDF15 has never been studied in haematological malignancies. Our first objective was thus to determine the effect of human recombinant GDF15 (rGDF15) on MOLP-6 stroma-dependent cell line and MM1.S stroma-independent cell line under serum free culture conditions. rGDF15 could significantly increase cell survival in MOLP-6 but not in MM1.S. Interestingly, rGDF15 was able to induce Akt phosphorylation on Threonine 308 in MOLP-6 and primary MM cells but not in MM1.S cells. Furthermore, pre-treatment of MOLP-6 with Akt pharmacologic inhibitor abrogated the prosurvival effect of GDF15, suggesting an Akt-dependent mechanism. In the same culture conditions, we observed that rGDF15 could abrogate toxicity of drugs classically used in MM treatment (melphalan, bortezomid and lenalidomide) for both cell lines MOLP-6 and MM1.S, suggesting that this cytoprotective effect may be Akt-independent. Because of the in vitro effects of GDF15, our second objective was to determine whether the plasma concentration of GDF15 (pGDF15) in patients with MM may be indicative of the seriousness of the disease or correlate with the response to the treatment. Thus, we investigated the pGDF15 in 131 patients with newly diagnosed MM and 13 healthy subjects. We first found that it was significantly higher for patients with MM (0.90±1.10 ng/mL) than for healthy subjects (0.25±0.08 ng/mL) (P< .001). In patients with MM, pGDF15 correlated with the main prognostic factor of the disease (i.e. International Staging System, b2 microglobulin level, presence or absence of deletion of chromosome 13, and bone status). For the 81 patients with high pGDF15 level (≥ 0.50 ng/mL), the probabilities of event-free and overall survival 30 months after diagnosis were 50% and 75%. For the 50 patients with low pGDF15 level (< 0.5 ng/mL), the probabilities were 80% and 97% (P< .0045 and P< .013, respectively). However, we did not find a clear relationship between pGDF15 and response to treatment. We analysed the impact of prognostic factors on event-free survival for the 131 patients with MM. On univariate analysis, event-free survival was significantly related to age (P= .003), b2-microglobulin level (P= .02) and pGDF-15 level (P= .003). On multivariate analysis, event-free survival was significantly related to age (P= .001) and pGDF15 level (P= .04). Our study demonstrates that GDF15 is a survival and cytoprotective factor for MM cells and that pGDF15 is related to initial parameters of the disease and survival, which specifically implicates the MM microenvironment in the pathophysiology and the prognosis of the disease. Resumen
Operation strategy plays an important role in business improvement and calls for many research attention in recent years. This study aims to propose an integrated approach to determine the most appropriate operational strategies in their companies under multi-conflicting objectives with a limited budget. The novel approach is developed by using the combination of Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Situation (Fuzzy TOPSIS), Sensitivity Analysis (SA) and Multi-Objective Linear Programming (MOLP) model. The operation strategies are evaluated through five objectives such as Productivity, Quality, Cost, Time and Importance score. The importance scores of all strategies are firstly obtained from the Fuzzy TOPSIS method. The sets of the weight of criteria are then established by using SA while MOLP approach is used to select appropriate strategies under multi-conflicting objectives with limited resources. A case study with 110 possible scenarios of operational strategies from An Giang Fisheries Import Export Joint Stock Company in Vietnam is considered to illustrate the practicability of the proposed approach. The results found that the proposed approach is suitable to make a decision on operation strategy.
