Texto completoA Shepherd’s responsibility is to care for and guide sheep in such a way that they (sheep) can effectively and proficiently perform the duties that are natural and necessary to sheep. The same is true with leaders and managers as it relates to their followers. This quantitative correlational research study was conducted to discover whether the biblical shepherd leadership model, particularly its characteristics, practices, and responsibilities (CPR), were related to successful church growth. A 45-item Likert type survey was used to ascertain the level of shepherd leadership of 106 pastors in the Church of God in Michigan. This score was then compared with statistical information found in the treasurers and ministry reports namely, attendance, tithe, and conversions that took place at these pastors’ local churches within a five year period. The results of the study showed a statistical positive association between shepherd leadership and the attendance and financial data. The data also showed a negative association between shepherd leadership and conversions. These findings will be helpful to pastors, educators, and church leaders to be more effective in ministry.

Texto completoThe aim of this thesis work is to propose the guidelines for the development of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) based-system for the information management of the people who attend a Christian organization. For this, the analysis of the current situation of the organization and the ministerial development process of the leaders as an object of study is carried out, in order to understand and define the cases of business use, their respective activity flows and business rules which contribute to propose a solution based on a customized software consistent with the established objectives. Within this development, the UML notation is used for the modeling of the artifacts involved in the present analysis. Also, it describes the functional and non-functional requirements, system use case model, system use case attributes, conceptual model, project data dictionary, proposed solution architecture and the development of use cases of the central core with the corresponding tests for the production stage. On the other hand, it describes the policy, objectives, and quality standards defined by the organization that applies to software development and that satisfies them. Finally, project management is included where planning is shown with a schedule of activities for the different stages of the system.

Myers, Peter K. "Authentic Leadership and its Relationship to Ministerial Effectiveness Among Pastors in the Church of the Nazarene". Thesis, Indiana Wesleyan University, 2017. http://pqdtopen.proquest.com/#viewpdf?dispub=10643004.
Texto completoThis study examined the authentic leadership of pastors in the Southwest Educational Region of the USA/Canada Church of the Nazarene to determine whether there is a positive correlation between authentic leadership and ministerial effectiveness. While authentic leadership is a theory with clear definition measured by multiple validated instruments, ministerial effectiveness is a concept that involves more ambiguity. For the purposes of this study, ministerial effectiveness was measured using the Ministerial Effectiveness Inventory. While this study was built on previous research that found a significant relationship between authentic leadership and ministerial effectiveness in pastors in the Indiana District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (Puls, 2012), the study avoided the controversy created by retracted articles and limits to use caused by the proprietary nature of the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire by using the Authentic Leadership Inventory (ALI). The ALI has been shown reliably to measure the same construct as the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire without these limitations. The study found significant positive relationships in all three clusters of respondents—pastoral selfraters, follower other-raters, and sets with at least one follower other-rater—between ministerial effectiveness as measured by the Ministerial Effectiveness Inventory and authentic leadership as measured by the ALI. Additionally, the study found a significant positive relationship between ministerial effectiveness and all four components of authentic leadership as measured by the ALI: self-awareness, internalized moral perspective, balanced processing, and transparency. As expected, female pastoral participation was low and thus limited the ability to find significant results specific to female pastors. The results of this study could contribute to church health by providing a resource to improve the ability of the Church of the Nazarene to prepare effective ministers, inform the personal development of active ministers, and guide the pastoral search process for churches seeking to call ministers who will effectively lead the ministries of a church to congregation and community.

Texto completoThis research aimed to determine the correlation of the leadership style of Directors in the work environment and the performance of government officials from the Ministry of Interior. A qualitative and quantitative research was carried out with a sample of 263 employees that work in the Ministry of Interior divided over the CAS and D.L 276 modes. The statistical study has been used to show the correlation of the leadership with regards to the climate and performance variables of the government officials. According to the answers given by government officials, the prevailing leadership was the transformational one followed by the transactional one with an overall average of 3,948 and 3,873 respectively. The results reject the hypothesis, it means that there is a correlation between the leadership style, the work environment and the performance of public officials. And last but not least, the implications for the practice are discussed, and further research is suggested to determine the causality of the relationship among leadership, objectives of the Institutional Operational Plan of the Ministry of Interior, work climate and performance of government officials.

Texto completoIn recent years, around the world, training strategies for managers have been implemented, as these are the second most important factor in school achievement according to studies by Bush & Glover (2003); Leithwood & Levin (2010) and Riley & Mulford (2011). In the case of Peru, the importance of their position has become clear from the law on teacher reform, which has made efforts to train leaders. Within this framework, this research aims to describe, analyze and explain the set of perceptions of six executives from Apurímac and Huancavelica regarding pedagogical leadership and the virtual training they received for induction into the management position offered by the Ministry of Education in 2017. Perceptions were collected regarding pedagogical leadership, the implementation of actions after the induction into the position and the modality in which the course was developed. The focus of the research was qualitative; a semi-structured interview was conducted with 6 directors. The outstanding results are as follows. Firstly, in the directors' discourse, statements are perceived that evidence the appropriation of concepts of pedagogical leadership. In the second place, the interviewees recognize that they have established changes within the school space as of the school year. Among these, the monitoring, pedagogical accompaniment and strengthening of horizontal relationships with their teachers and the educational community. Finally, among the perceptions about having taken the course virtually, it is worth noting that this modality allows for learning from any geographic location, although it also generates feelings of loneliness and the need for accompaniment.
