Mentoring is a phenomenon that occurs in most professional settings (Searby,2013) and each has unique characteristics that influence orientation. This orientation serves a variety of purposes and individuals of any age and profession (Mullen, 2012). Mentoring programs have been a tool used by organizations allowing personal and professional development of those involved. This research describes Mentoring in the shadow of the Mentoring practiced in Santander Totta Bank, under the first edition of Santander Top Training internship. This study aims to give a structured insight of the value of a Mentoring program in the context in which it operates, to Mentees, to Mentors and to the organization. The analyzed Formal Mentoring program, in which the organization matched a senior and experienced Mentor from the organization to a Mentee, trainee, is based on a one-to-one relationship. The analysis focus mainly on the perspective of the intervenients in the process. This research concludes that Mentoring was a valuable orientation in the perception of all the participants in the process and it contributed to the success of the Mentees during the internship.

Texto completoThe thesis is a reflection on emerging collective behavior and individual associated with ICT - Information and Communication Technologies -, and that from a research approach based on the Eco-Systemic Perspective (constructivist, interactionist, socio-cultural, emotional and transcendent), seeks to reproduce a path of references and theoretical personal, individual and collective reflections. The visualization of individual and collective behaviors related to ICTs associated with a growing need for expression and sharing may be considered as the starting point of this thesis. Although the thesis is not limited to the musical aspect, the reflection that resulted from this work had as a principal an intense and growing musical activity observation , which was not limited to file listening and exchanges, but also to the observation of protagonist, creative, not hierarchical behavior , related to the intervention on archives, collective composition, manipulation of open codes and open code communities, which are investigated by the line of research on Ubiquitous Music, which is one of the Thesis´ references. All these behaviors are generally associated with youth, but also are increasingly widespread in society and extended to all areas. Tribal behaviors according to Maffesoli, linked to a cyclical view that expresses the human need for their desires´ expression, which are characterized by a being together, a presenteeism, and a rerooting as a deep human need, in response to a stagnant society by an excessive rationality. Behaviors that, according to Heidegger, emphasize the relational aspect of being-there as essentially as being-with-the-other, and the game as part of the existence and this relationship. A game, which in his turn is directly associated to our way of relating to ICTs. Emergent behaviors that for Johnson are linked to the observable patterns in many systems in nature and in society. All these aspects are related to the complex view of Morin on homo in all its facets of manifestation in the world: sapiens, faber, demens, ludens, mythologicus, which in turn permeate our own relationship with the world we have built, and with the technology that retroacts on the world and on us. Behaviors that potentially bring with them a deep questioning of what we are, our possibilities and determinism, of our physical, brain, mental and spiritual constitution, of our limits and possibilities, our advances and retreats. Behaviors that bring the possibility of reflection on science, and technosciences, that we produce and that produce us, all relationships that reflect the way we see, reflect and make education at all levels. The idea of Mental Diasporas and Diasporic Minds, seeks to synthesize this complex movement, which enhances the possibility of us being at the same time in different spaces and times, which disengages us from physical, local and social limitations, which reaffirms our complex physical and non-physical, mental and cerebral, spiritual, contradictory and consensual, collective and individual identity.

The manifestation of the Theory of Mind in autism is a singular issue, emphasized by the hypothesis that there are deficits in the ability of attributing mental states in autistic children, related to autism specific symptoms. This research is an experimental intervention, which aims to investigate the effects of a procedure, based on the ability of attributing mental states to others in autistic children. It is to guide mothers of autistic children to the use of children's stories telling based on the use of mental terms and explanations of mental states of desires, beliefs, intentions and emotions about the characters in order to foster the ability of understanding other people's mental states. Three children, ages 11 to 16, one boy and two girls students of regular schools from the state of Minas Gerais, participated of this research together with their mothers. The Theory of Mind was assessed in the pretest as well as the posttest, according to The Theory of Mind Scale. The intervention procedure lasted for six months. During this period, there were two group orientation plus fifteen individual ones. The individual orientations were held weekly in the children's homes, shortly after the children's stories telling. The stories, told by their mothers, were video recorded, transcribed and submitted to the SPAD - T software for treatment and categorization of terms of mental states attributing. The results showed that the language used for the mother, according to the guideline containing terms and explanations of mental states, was favoring the manifestation of the Theory of Mind for their children. It was observed in two children that there was a relationship between the mother's language and the performance of false belief tasks. It was observed an increase in the use of emotional terms in the children's speech, and in cognitive terms on the mother s lines. It is considered that the language is a predictor in attributing mental states to other people, also in autistic children. Children with better language skills can evoke mental terms, and are able to hit in the false belief tasks

The present paper offers a bibliographic review of one of the most important and controversial articles in the field of Computer Science, "Computers and Intelligence" (original title: Computing Machinery and Intelligence). The text was written in 1950 by one of the greatest mathematical geniuses who later revolutionized the world, Alan Mathison Turing (1912-1954). Turing’s excellent scientific work contributed significantly to the development of the digital computer and also gave rise to the first steps in the studies on Artificial Intelligence. The paper investigates the reasons that led Turing to write the article, highlights the main contributions of the article to various fields of knowledge, and provides a critical analysis of Turing’s answer to the question "Can a machine think?". My analysis reveals that Turing’s article can be divided into three parts: (i) the game of Imitation and the digital computer; (ii) philosophical objections and finally (iii) learning machines. Inquiries on these questions justified the development of the research in the uniformization and understanding of key issues in the Philosophy of the Mind. These inquiries reflect the opposing interests of AI researchers, as the answers to these questions depend on how "intelligence" or "consciousness" is defined and what exactly are the "machines" under discussion. For a better understanding of the subject, the arguments of Turing, John Searle, and other thinkers will be used.

Texto completoThis research presents a preliminary study about the petroglyphs from a sample area between Old Ayrão village and Branco river\'s mouth, at the lower Negro river basin, Western Brazilian Amazon. They comprise a corpus of open air and underwater Rock Art sites, fifteen (15) up until now, located on sandstone and granite riverine boulders and outcrops. Given the absence of archaeological stratified deposits, these sites can neither be excavated nor unequivocally related to adjacent ceramic sites in the survey area (which remains a possibility to be tested). Thus, they are bound in contextual isolation, lacking spatial as well as chronological control, remaining as outsiders of the archaeological record. The area presents geological variability (contact between crystalline Guiana shield and Amazon sedimentary basin) as well as hydrographical variability (confluence among Negro, Branco, Jauaperi, Unini and Jaú rivers). We propose that this environmental set contributes to the graphical variability we are detecting inside the rock art corpus (suggesting discrete corpora), which indicates possible chronological and cultural distinctions in the prehistoric authorship of these petroglyphs. Indeed, the preliminary knowledge of the actual geological context of the survey area, as well as its major fluvial confluence, has led us to first postulate the hypothesis of stylistic variability which was confirmed in the first contact with these petroglyphs. This, in fact, constitutes the first concrete result of our research, the identification of a multi-stylistic rock art zone in the Negro\'s basin, which we think is deeply related to the environmental set of the survey area, which in its turn was partially responsible for the establishment of different cultural groups, and the development of different cultural ways of representing the cognizable world (visible and invisible) into discrete strategies of visual thinking on the basin along the Holocene. Among the current approaches to rock art study we have chosen to apply two different but complementary general methods, Formal and Informed, as a dialectical reflexive conjunct. The first part of the text is committed to the formal method. Under this token, we are considering the petroglyphs (and pictographs) like prehistoric systems of visual thinking and communication, quasi-linguistically organized graphic-symbolic codes, of the authors\' communities. Focus on rock art under this scope (as a variable, or resultant, of human past behavior, culturally organized, inserted in the environment - archaeological record) is a profitable strategy in order to identify and measure formal material characteristics of rock art assemblages, which, we believe, can lead to the identification of discrete sets of structured graphical patterns that, hypothetically and simplistically, could be related to the socialcognitive profiles of those communities. So, we are applying a set of theoretical constructs, basically derived from semiotics, visual anthropology and cognitive archaeology, to the analysis of visual symbolic codes, holding our attention on the graphic signifier (the material object) and avoiding the interpretation of specific meanings over the form (guessing signified concepts deriving from iconic resemblances between forms and \"real things\" in the non- Indian archaeologist\'s cosmology). By material signifier in rock art we comprehend those material aspects such like technique, morphology, thematic, syntactical combinations and compositions, taphonomy and other geo-environmental variables. The second approach, informed method, is devoted here to a tentative interpretation of one of the stylistic profiles identified; comparing some of its distinctive iconic patterns to the Upper Negro River Myth- Ritual Complex of Jurupari, devised as a multi-ethnic religious complex that hypothetically pervaded the entire basin during pre-colonial times. We are suggesting by the present evidence that these cultural manifestations (Jurupari and this specific rock art corpus), separated in time-space, could be related to a same system of expressive, ideological and cognitive phenomena in the past, with a specific locational insertion in the surveyed area. So, if identifying forms (formal disambiguation), and classification (ordering of graphic-spatial patterns) of observed differences among forms are converted into the spinal cord of this research, the second part is, nevertheless, equally important in the way it provides a rudimentary tentative of looking to rock art through Amerindian eyes and test the potential of ethnographic meta-representations to illuminate archaeological reasoning about rock art phenomena in the Negro\'s basin. That is, an interpretive approach targeting some sort of explanation beyond the non-indigenous formal stylistic constructs (but, what remains to be tested in the area is the rock art analysis directly through Amerindian prefrontal cortex, a kind of neural-cognitive otherness experiential approach, which would imply, for future experiments, in direct participative observations, possibly involving an Indian specialist and archaeologist\'s Caapi - B. caapi - consumption for perceptual and ontological purification and subsequent observation of petroglyphs and dialogue among them and the rocks).

Texto completoThe present work studies the mental distress as a circumstance excluding criminal responsibility from the point of view of its determination in criminal proceedings. The first part reconstructs the historical evolution of the dominant method of determination in criminal proceedings. The second part is concerned with explaining the mixed method as currently dominant doctrine, and makes a brief reference to the common law by a brief explanation of the M'Naughten Rules. The third chapter provides a description of the procedures and criteria to which the psychiatric community recognizes scientific value, and a study of the reliability of the psychiatric expert from the limitations of psychiatry in terms of diagnosis. The fourth chapter introduces some elements from the theory of communicative action and the theory of systems for the study of the determination of criminal responsibility from outside the law and psychiatry. From these elements, the fifth chapter reconstructs the formation of the decision on criminal responsibility and explains how they relate to the legal system and the health system. The focus of this chapter are the reasons offered to prove the decision on the trial of criminal responsibility is ascriptive nature and not descriptive. Finally, it explains why it is so difficult to determine the criminal responsibility by mental disorder, who is responsible for that decision, how in dubio pro reo principle is applied and the burden of proof, and it makes an analysis about the minimum conditions that should have a good procedure for the determination of criminal responsibility by mental illness.

In this dissertation we propose the analysis of the nature of the mental states that is a very main issue in the studies of Philosophy of Mind. In order to this, we suggested doing a research which begins with the analysis of the cartesian notion of the substantial dualism, defined by postulating a distinct mind from the body and responsible for producing mental states. Afterwards we tried to argue about the cartesian conception based on the criticisms whose Ryle refers himself as being designated official doctrine. With this purpose, it is considered, in special, the concept of disposition, suggested by Ryle (2000) in opposition to what he designates as intellectual conceptions. Finally, we analysed some of the main externalists theses which were started with Putnam (1975), above all the representational perspective conceived by Dretske (1997) as far as the relationship between the person and the environment is concerned. All things considered we tried to show that the concept of disposition suggested by Ryle supports an externalist theorisation of the mental states, considering itself as the basis for an externalist conception of the person which is very different from the cartesian conception.

Texto completoThe research areas of this thesis are family burden and family impact of care on adults with intellectual disability (ID) and intellectual disability associated to mental disorders (ID-MD). The present research aims to contribute to the knowledge of these areas, and its purpose is to analyze the main social and psychological factors, as well as clinical and diagnostic variables that explain higher levels of burden and family impact in a community context. The present thesis has four studies; the first two have a quantitative methodological approach, the third is based on a review and the fourth has a qualitative perspective. Study 1: "Family impact in intellectual disability, severe mental health disorders and mental healthdisorders in ID. Acomparison. The results demonstratethat the highest levels of family burden arein the group of caregivers of people with ID-MD, followed by the schizophrenia group, and with a lower family burden in the ID group. Study 2: "Family burden related to clinical and functional variables of people with intellectual disability and with a mental disorder". The results show that higher levels of family burden are related to a greater functional disability in all the WHO-DAS-II evaluated areas, a lower IQ, ID-MD diagnosis, and presence of organic, psychotic-affective and behavioral disorders. This review shows that family burden prevails when associated with comorbidity between ID and MD. Likewise, the family impact of care has emotional, psychological, social and health repercussions on caregivers of people with ID-MD. Study 4:"Family impact of care and respite service: life experiences of mothers of adult children with intellectual disability and mental disorders".Testimonies declare a negative impact when first discovering its child’s disability, but also feelings of gratitude. The respite service turns out to be a necessary support to alleviate the feeling of overload. The empirical evidence from these studies allows confirming that the families in question face a great challenge throughout their lives. This thesis emphasizes the methodological use of social work, in order to contribute to the design of socio-educational programs to reduce the family impact of care of these families.

Texto completoArrows can be used in an adequate way to carry out vector calculations in different subject areas of physics and mathematics education. Such vector arrows can be understood as a symbol system with which situations and problems can be modelled mathematically. If the knowledge about the usage of arrows is not attached to specific contents and contexts, additional options arise in new and unknown situations. In this case vector arrows act as so called mental tools. It was the aim of the implemented study to verify such a transfer of knowledge in mechanics education of middle school. The study was designed as a quasi-experimental field study with three treatment groups and one baseline group. The treatments consists of four lessons in which the concept of vector arrows was taught with one, two or without an embodiment of the arrows by physical quantity. An increased number of embodiments emphasizes the independence of contents and the flexibility of the arrows. Thus, arrows become a mental tool. In line with the hypothesis one scale of the post-test shows that the teaching, which involves multiple embodiments of arrows, leads to higher performance related to unknown embodiments. However, it becomes clear, that other factors play a role in the usage of arrows as mental tools.

Texto completoThis project intends to better understand the relationship between mentor and mentee in the organizational mentoring processes and the role of mentoring as an actual organizational demand. Therefore this dissertation considered the bibliography on mentoring evolution, the relationships characteristics, how diversity can influence the processes, possible disfunctions and the participants´ roles, considering their expectations and premises. In order to observe these relationships in a real situation, this project investigates the mentees´ expectations and the mentors´ premises regarding the mentoring functions, as well as the investigation on the confidence level existing among the involved in the Whirlpool´s formal mentoring program for young talents. The hypotheses established according to the theory for the case were: H1a: The career functions are considered the most important issue by the mentees in the case studied. Not confirmed. H1b: The career functions are considered the most important issue by the mentors in the case studied. Not confirmed. H1c: The mentees´ expectations are aligned to the mentors´ premises, regarding the mentoring functions. Not confirmed. H2: Confidence is present among the program´s participants. Confirmed. H3: The expectations among the mentees vary according to the gender regarding the mentoring functions. Confirmed. H4: The program´s relationships are healthful. Confirmed. The dissertation concludes the necessity of complementarity , empathy and confidence between mentor and mentee to assure the relationship success. More than this, a formal program must guarantee that its objectives are clear to all the participants in order to align all expectations and premises. Additionally it must be very well structured to ideally match mentor and mentee, concerning their needs and characteristics as well as to follow up the formed pairs to assure a prompt decision to any kind of disfunctions arised

Understanding mental states such as desires, emotions and beliefs is important for the success to our every Day relationships. The acquisition and development of this ability are aspects that have been studied under the name of theory of mind. To study the first manifestations of this comprehension can enable to understand this development. The central objective of this research is to examine the constitution of children s theory of mind. Another objective, a practical one, is to offer assistance for the promotion of activities that favor this development. 58 preschool children of a medium-high socioeconomic level, 29 boys and 29 girls between 1;11 to 3;7 year-olds, were followed for 18 months in 4 gatherings with intervals of 6 months through two procedures: a) observation in playful situation kids were videotaped playing in groups of 4; b) they were given tasks, kids answered individually to tasks of belief and false belief. Verbalizations were typed and submitted to software SPAD-T for treatment and categorization according to the type of attribution of mental states. The performance in the tasks was submitted to the Factorial Analysis. The results showed that the attributions more precocious of mental states to the other one happened at 2 years 5 months (emotion), 2 years and 7 months (desire) and 3 years and 2 months (belief). Differences were found in relation to the period of acquisition in terms related to belief. The most used terms were the verbs gostar (to like), querer (to want) and saber (to know). Other words frequently used were medo (fear), feliz (happy) and triste (sad) at the end of the second year of life and pensar (to think), conhecer (to know), mentir (to lie) and enganar (to cheat) during the third year of life. The factorial analysis revealed that there was age influence in this development and found different profiles of development. The results of both groups of data (verbal manifestations and task performance) were used in the intra-individual analysis of 10 participants and, in all cases, were complemented in the explanation of the behavior of each child

This research shows an overview of the mental practice used in performances by classical guitar experts in Brazil through literature review, interviews and concept aplications. A semi-structured questionnaire was used with professionals with an acclaimed career as concert players and/or post graduation advisors on performance/interpretative practices in this country aiming at analyzing in what ways the deliberate use of mental representations influences the process of preparation and realization of their performances. The hypothesis that these representations help in the expressivity has been confirmed and appear in various ways in the report of the interviewees and in literature. Evidences demonstrate that evoking emotional states, memories of events, objects or sensations as well as images associated with a musical intention can assist the performer. Some words, ideas, sensations or suggested images in these contexts can became a powerful foundation, provided that they find in the individual´s reference vocabulary and memories a compatible correspondent and its concrete means of realization.

Texto completoThe taxonomy of mints is complex because of their high morphological polymorphism, their ability to hybridize and their domestication. Genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationships of the section Mentha were established within a collection of 62 accessions of different geographical origins, representing the 4 legitimate species (M. Suaveolens L. , M. Longifolia (L. ) Huds. , M. Aquatica L. , M. Arvensis L. ) and the 3 most cultivated hybrids (M. Spicata L. , M. X piperita L. , M. X gracilis L. ). The AFLP (Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism) and ISSR (Inter Simple Sequence Repeat) DNA fingerprinting methods were performed. The results allow us to identify each species and are in accordance with the present classification. On the other hand, they assess the genetic potential of each species and the relationships between hybrids and legitimate species. The non-coding chloroplastic DNA (trnL intron, intergenic spacers trnL-trnF, psbA-trnH) shows several haplotypes within some species. The ITS (Internal Transcribed Spacers 1 and 2) sequences display intra and interspecific polymorphism and give information about evolution of polyploids and hybrids

Certainly consciousness is something extremely familiar and, at the same time, enigmatic for us. Its phenomenal aspect, called phenomenal consciousness, imposes a number of barriers to reductionist approaches proposed by physicist/functionalist framework. Such are the difficulties raised by phenomenal consciousness to that reductionist approaches that the problem concerning that aspect of consciousness is the “hard problem of consciousness”. Considering its apparent irreducibility, it is necessary to analyze a framework which have as core an attempt to conciliate the phenomenal consciousness with a minimum commitment with physicalism, insofar as the necessity of a physical substrate that instantiates our conscious experiences is presupposed. Given that impasse the supervenience of consciousness theory arises with the aim of demonstrating a relation of dependence/determination established between the set of consciousness proprieties and the set of physical proprieties of the brain without, however, necessarily entailing a reduction of the former to the last set. Thus, the aim established in this work consist in analyzing in details the supervenience of consciousness theory and the framework which it inserts and, posteriorly, arguing about the reasons that make that theory unable to provide a substantial relation between consciousness and its physical substrate.

Texto completoBackground: Mentoring, a kind of relationship in which a more experienced person guides a young beginner in his development, has been adopted in Medical schools as a strategy to offer personal support and to promote the professional development of future physicians. Studies show that mentors also report changes and benefits over time, but do not explore the dynamics and meaning of these transformations. Considering that unconscious aspects are present in mentoring relationships, this study addresses the mentors development according to some concepts of Analytical Psychology, especially the archetypes and myths, emphasizing the Heros Journey, also linking them to the Medical Education field. Objectives: This study explores the perceptions and the meaning attributed by mentors to their experiences, aiming to understand their motivations, difficulties, resources and changes perceived over time. Method: The research is a qualitative study with fourteen mentors of the FMUSP Mentoring Program. The heterogeneity of the investigated group was intentional. Data were collected during the second half of 2008 and January 2009, by semi-structured interviews. Mentors answers were analyzed using content analysis technique and thematic categories linked to the study objectives were developed. Results: Mentors presented motivations related to the student (the today student and the mentor when student in the past) and to the institution (making the function official, collaborating with medical education, updating themselves about the medical course, returning the received opportunities). Most of mentors recognized difficulties along the way, which involved initial doubts, frustration with the students adhesion and overload of daily academic and professional work. To cope with difficulties, mentors highlighted external resources such as the Program Coordination, supervisors and other mentors, and internal resources, especially their own life experience. Many mentors reported changes: a reviewing of themselves and of the context in which they live, learning and rewards, especially being in contact with the youth. There are mentors, however, that did not identify changes: they justified that this kind of relationship was already present in their daily lives; others just observed changes in students, and others reported having nothing to be transformed. Conclusion: There is a desire among mentors of recovering the old, meaningful and close masterapprentice relationship; they value being a teacher and are grateful to the Institution. Symbolically, they aim to keep in touch with their \"inside wounded student\" and take care of him. Mentoring allows mentors to recover the past and to rejuvenate themselves with the present. In this journey mentors face difficulties and they may, although not all of them, transform and be transformed by other

Abstract : The translation with commentary of The Mind of the Maker covers, besides the comments on the actual translation of the work, a research on the life and work of Dorothy L. Sayers, on works and studies about her life and workmanship, and on this particular work, considering its possible contribution to the field of Translation Studies. It is worth noting that she was a translator of de Devine Comedy of Dante. To make the translation feasible, we analyze some of the theoretical areas of translation studies, particularly those that deal with relations between translation and philosophical reflection on the creativity, which is the main theme we are pointing out in The Mind of the Maker, such as the classic as Walter Benjamin, as well as Octavio Paz, and Paul Ricoeur, and the Brazilians, Haroldo de Campos, Márcio Seligmann and Paulo Bezerra. We focused on what these authors say about the role of creativity in the translation process. Special attention was also given to the phenomenological and hermeneutical theory of Paul Ricoeur, including his writings on translation, in order to develop our own strategy for the translation of the work. The theology came in, in a secondary manner, since the initial theme of the translated work is the notion of the Trinity in Christian creeds. After the theoretical part of the thesis, we present some comments on the translation process and on some concepts of the book that we consider important for the understanding of the work as a whole, trying to make an application of the central theses of Dorothy L. Sayers in this book, particularly those related to creativity, to the field of Translation Studies. The result was the construction of a possible metaphor of translation, based on the concept of the Trinity present in The Mind of the Maker.

Texto completoThis study aims to present the phenomenon of football-supporters\' associations in Brazil (or TOBR, acronym in Portuguese language for torcidas organizadas de futebol brasileiras) on the historical perspective of the Brazilian State. It focuses not only on the State\'s role in the process that led to the foundation of the first TOBRs during the 1940\'s, but also on the influence of its institutions for the growth and diffusion of TOBRs, who experienced their golden age in football stadiums in the late 1980\'s and early 1990\'s. In addition to the analysis of the State\'s role within this process, this study is also dedicated to understand the role played by the sports media, the football clubs and the governing bodies of the Brazilian sport in mediating the relationship between the State and football supporters. This text was written upon primary sources such as coeval newspapers, magazines, periodicals, personal files, reports and non-coeval interviews, as well as secondary sources such as books, dissertations, theses and papers produced on the issues which are pertinent to this study. It was concluded that the TOBRs\' existence in Brazil is strongly linked to what was called a setting of Football of State, which is a political-institutional arrangement in which the sport of a nation is used as a political tool by its State. The Football of State\'s setting is a Nazi-fascist creation that was brought to Brazil by Getúlio Vargas in the early 1940\'s. It was precisely during this regime that the first TOBRs were founded. The device of the Football of State was also used during the military regime throughout the 1970\'s, and it was under this rule that the TOBRs developed more intensely. It was also during this period that violence among supporters started to happen more frequently. The violence among football-supporters increased substantially during the 1980\'s and led to a crisis between the TOBRs and Brazilian State in the early 1990\'s, which was also triggered by the end of State\'s interest in sports and the consolidation of a new sports setting in Brazil during the 1990s, the Football for the Market.

Texto completoTitle: A guide to social media: As an additional tool in the marketing strategy for Mentens AB Authors: Linda Söderholm, Hanna Åman Advisor: Finn Wiedersheim-Paul Course: Bachelor Thesis, 15 ECTS Subject: Business administration Purpose: The purpose of this study is to help Mentens AB, a small business-to-business (B2B) company without a clear end consumer, to start using social media and implementing them as a tool in their marketing strategy. Theories: “Why social media and what businesses should consider before implementation”, “Corporate blogs as a tool to build relationships and strengthen the brand”, “ To market the businesses knowledge through YouTube”, “Creating a professional network with LinkedIn”, “Sharing knowledge through SlideShare” and “Dealing with rumors using social media”. Method: The study is based on qualitative research through interviews carried out with the company Mentens AB, a small company with a desire for guidance in social media. Conclusions: Companies need to be aware of the pros and the cons of social media. For Mentens AB to evolve they need implement them and use them right. It is suitable for companies to use benchmarking in order to find the appropriate social media. Social media is suitable for B2B companies as they are used for networking and the spreading of knowledge. It is important to have goals and a strategy for how to do this and build platforms in order for the company to show an honest image of themselves. Our study has shown that spreading of rumors will happen regardless of a company having an active presence online or not. Social media gives the company an opportunity to comment on rumors and other harmful information immediately before it escalates and optimizes the search engines through the spreading of positive information about the company. Companies today cannot afford to avoid social media and instead must implement them as a part if their social media strategy. Key words: Social media, marketing, business-to-business, B2B, YouTube, SlideShare, LinkedIn, small businesses, spreading of rumors, business blogs, search engine optimization.

Abstract: The present work attempts to analyse how interpersonal perceptions occur in the so called "educable mentally retarded" individuais. The starting point is an analysis of the responses their performance in home and school activities. For this purpose we have made use of structured interviews with students, parents and teachers of special classes. The research has shown that "mentally exceptional individual" ia seen by himself in a depreciative way and this perception is a sum of negative aspect circulated with frequency by the school as well as the family

Texto completoThis paper intends to research the relationship between mental processes, musical improvisation and performance. The investigation starts from the cognitive psychology perspective in the 1980s and 1990s, considered a system of expertise, and go forward on new approaches, based on principles of neuroscience from the first decade of this century, that understood the cognitive psychology as a creative and spontaneous behavior. Through experiments with functional neuroimaging, the study reffered here in seeks the possible cerebral basis for creativity. The aim of this study is to appropriate part of the knowledge, produced by cognitive psychology and neuroscience, about the psychological and neurobiological mechanisms that generate improvisation. The research suggests, eventually, possible interfaces between cognitive psychology and neuroscience, the routines of study for an improvising musician and the pedagogical strategies of a teacher of improvisation.
