Resumen

Le sexe fut un problème biologique déroutant tout au long du xix e siècle, lorsqu’on commença à comprendre que reproduction et sexualité étaient à distinguer. Les travaux zoologiques d’Émile Maupas (1842-1916) constituent un jalon dans cette histoire, car ils sont venus éclaircir les étapes nucléaires du phénomène de conjugaison chez les ciliés, longtemps entaché de nombreuses zones d’ombre. Grâce à la mise au point de techniques manipulatoires nouvelles, ainsi qu’à des qualités d’observateur remarquables, Maupas parvint à en donner une description toujours considérée comme vraie actuellement. Ses réflexions sur la fonction de l’acte sexuel (la conjugaison étant totalement découplée de la reproduction chez les ciliés), en revanche, montrent les limites du projet d’une « biologie générale », auquel Maupas entendait participer. Dans une telle conception, qui visait à relier très étroitement biologie, chimie et physique, il était en fait impossible de penser le sexe comme une adaptation.

Resumen

The article deals with the report of 5 suctorians viz. Lecanophryella satyanandani (Santhakumari, 1986), Paracineta karunakarani Santhakumari, 1986, Ephelota gemmipara (Hertwig, 1876), Acineta foetida Maupas, 1881 and Pelagacineta sp. on marine pelagic ostracods Cypridina dentata (Müller, 1906) from new localities of the Arabian Sea. Diagnostic characters of Paracineta karunakarani are emended. Ephelota gemmipara (Hertwig, 1876) and Acineta foetida Maupas, 1881 are reported here for the first time on planktonic marine ostracods. Pelagacineta sp. is reported for the first time as epibiont on ostracods and from the Indian Ocean.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related diseases, which include acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis, and primary liver cancer, are major problems throughout much of the world. During the past several years, safe and effective HBV vaccines have been produced that have opened the way for the eventual control of these diseases. Although of use throughout the world, the greatest need for HBV vaccine is in east Asia and subsaharan Africa where the vast majority of the population is infected with this virus by early adulthood.1 Early in HBV vaccine history, the late Dr Maupas and his colleagues2 showed that the control of HBV infection in the developing world was possible.

Resumen

AbstractRhabditis (Oscheius) colombiana n. sp. is described as a necromenic associate of the burrower bug Cyrtomenus bergi (Hemiptera: Cydnidae) collected in the Cauca Valley, Colombia. The new species resembles others of the insectivora-group, viz, Rhabditis (O.) insectivora Körner, 1954 and Rhabditis (O.) lucianii Maupas, 1919, in a number of morphological and life history traits, but can be separated by a combination of morphological and morphometric characters. The most distinctive morphological features that separate R. (O.) colombiana n. sp. from these two Rhabditis species are the total size of both males and females, which are much shorter and slimmer in the new species; the size of the male spicules and the values of ratios b and c. Additionally, molecular data (18S rDNA sequences) and phylogenetic analyses demonstrated the distinctiveness of this species when compared to a number of other Rhabditis (Oscheius) species.

Resumen

La distribución de las cargas durante la marcha se ha valorado en muchos estudios, en algunos de los cuales se ha observado la influencia de la lateralidad del individuo en esta distribución. Sin embargo, en estático se han realizado pocos estudios que valoran las posibles causas de una distribución no equitativa de las cargas, algunos según la visión o no del espacio colindante y según la influencia de la lateralidad visual. En nuestro estudio vamos a observar si influye la preferencia lateral del miembro inferior en la distribución de la carga en la planta del pie, utilizando tres pruebas para valorar la dominancia lateral: chute con precisión, equilibrio dinámico y equilibrio estático (Maupas y cols., 2002). Según nuestros resultados, la preferencia lateral de miembro inferior no influye de forma significativa en la distribución de las cargas en la planta del pie, sin embargo, observamos una tendencia a que aumente la carga del miembro izquierdo en los diestros (según las pruebas de equilibrio dinámico y chute con precisión) y en el miembro derecho en los zurdos.Palabra clave: lateralidad, presiones plantares, equilibrio estático, test lateralidad.Abstract: The distribution of loads during gait has been evaluated in many studies, some of which have been seen to influence the handedness of the individual in this distribution. However, in the static pool, several studies have been carried out which assess the possible causes of inequitable distribution of the charges, some according to the vision or adjoining space and according to influence of visual laterality. In our study we will observe the influence of the lateral lower limb preference in the distribution of the load on the sole of the foot, using three tests to assess the lateral dominance: shoot with precision, dynamic balance and static balance (Maupas et al. 2002). According to our results, lower limb lateral preference does not influence significantly the distribution of charges in the sole of the foot, however, we observe a tendency to increase the load/weight on the left limb in righthanded people (according to tests of balance dynamic and precision shot) and on the right limb in left handed people.Key words: laterality, plantar pressures, static balance, laterality test.

Resumen

The article deals with the study of the possibility to use free-living soil nematode C. elegans in researches of anthelmintic activity of plant raw material. A. sativum juice and aqueous extract of T. vulgare flowers were used in experiments. It is shown that both A. sativum juice and tansy flowers extract caused dose-dependent disturbances of C. elegans swimming motor program. These disturbances are similar with disturbances caused by agonist of cholinoreceptors levamisole. Therefore, the target of A. sativum juice and T. vulgare extract action is C. elegans cholinergic system. The mechanism of toxic action of A. sativum and T. vulgare on C. elegans organism consists in hyperactivation of nicotinic cholinoreceptors. The possibility of quick adaptation of C. elegans nicotinic cholinoreceptors to active components of tansy flowers extract was revealed. Soil nematode C. elegans may be used for investigation of anthelmintic activity of A. sativum and T. vulgare for the purpose of identification of secondary metabolites responsible for the toxic action on helminths.

Resumen

The article is devoted to the study of the development of the grammatical system of the French language in the XVII century, during the golden age of the absolute monarchy. The analysis of the influence of the socio-political system on the changes in the French grammar of that time is carried out. In this century of authoritarian and centralized state organization, it was the grammars who shaped the language to their mind. The reign of Louis XIV created more than a hundred professional grammatical censors, thanks to whom the French language survived the era of "distinction" and consolidation. It is noted that participants of salons and court linguists such as Malherbe, Vaugelas, Chifflet, Maupas, Arnauld and Lancelot and others were engaged in organizing the French language. Each grammarian offers his own vision of the motives that must precede the adoption of a rule. It was found that in the era that is considered classic, two tendencies of grammatical transformations coexisted: the development of correct practical grammar, which contributed to the development of the social elite, and the development of analytical grammar, which drew its material from philosophy and logic. Grammarians mostly pursue the idea of perfect grammar with uniform and absolute rules.

Resumen

Cation/proton exchangers of the cation proton antiporter 1 (CPA1) subfamily (NHEs, SLC 9) play an important role in many physiological processes, including cell volume regulation, acid–base homeostasis, and ammonia excretion. The soil nematode Caenorhabditis elegans (Maupas, 1900) (N2, 1968) expresses nine paralogues (NHX-1 to NHX-9). The current study was undertaken to investigate the role of the cation/proton exchanger in hypodermal Na+ and H+ fluxes, as well in ammonia excretion processes. Measurements using SIET (scanning ion-selective electrode technique) showed that the hypodermis promotes H+ secretion and Na+ uptake. Inhibitory effects on fluxes were observed upon application of amiloride but not EIPA, suggesting that NHXs are not involved in the transport processes. In response to stress induced by starvation or exposure to 1 mmol·L−1 NH4Cl, pH 5.5, or pH 8.0, body pH stayed fairly constant, with changes in mRNA expression levels detected in intestinal NHX-2 and hypodermal NHX-3. In conclusion, the study suggest that hypodermal apically localized EIPA-sensitive Na+/H+ exchangers do not likely play a role in ammonia excretion and Na+ uptake in the hypodermis of C. elegans, whereas apical amiloride-sensitive Na+ channels seem to be involved not just in hypodermal Na+ uptake but indirectly also in NH4+ and H+ excretion.

Resumen

The paper investigates dopamine influence on the tolerance of swimming, induced by mechanical stimulus, to the temperature of 36C during the experiments with nematodes of wild type strain N2 and mutant strains LX636 ( dop-1 ( vs101 )) and LX703 ( dop-3 ( vs106 )) with null-mutations of genes of dopamine receptors DOP-1 and DOP-3. The authors have shown that dopamine in concentrations 0,5-1,0 mM increased the behavior thermotolerance of C. elegans while in concentrations 7,5-15,0 dopamine caused its decrease. Null-mutation of dopamine receptor gene dop-3 prevented the decrease of C. elegans thermotolerance by dopamine. On the contrary, null-mutation of dopamine receptor gene dop-1 caused significant rise in sensitivity of behavior thermotolerance to dopamine. In connection with well-known conceptions assuming that the reason of heat damage of C. elegans behavior is acetylcholine deficiency due to inhibition of its secretion by hyperthermia, the dopamine influence on behavior thermotolerance can be accounted for the dopamine influence on acetylcholine secretion by motor neurons. It is known that in C. elegans motor neurons the coexpression of genes of receptors DOP-1 and DOP-3 takes place. Activation of these receptors in turn causes opposite changes in dopamine secretion.

Resumen

The study of biological activity of extracts from roots and rhizomes of male fern Dryopteris filix-mas was carried out in experiments with soil nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. The toxicity of extracts of D. filix-mas roots and rhizomes obtained by different methods varied over a wide range. Crude extract of male fern roots and rhizomes in concentration range 62.5–250 µg/ml had a weak toxic action on C. elegans organism by inducing death of 26.0–43.3% nematodes. The toxicity of relatively high concentrations (500 and 250 µg/ml) of water-ethanolic extracts might be compared with such of crude extract in concentrations 62.5–250 µg/ml. Biological activity of filicinic acids ethers was found very high: concentrations of crude extract of D. filix-mas roots and rhizomes and concentrations of filicinic acids ethers with similar toxicity for C. elegans organism were 40-fold different. Substances isolated from D. filix-mas roots and rhizomes have nematicidal activity and may be used for development of drugs to treat helminthiasis of humans and animals.

Resumen

AbstractThree species belonging to the genus Macrolaimus, namely M. canadensis, M. crucis and M. ruehmi, have been obtained from areas of natural vegetation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Corsica (France), the Czech Republic and Spain. These three species are characterized by the body length of males and females, stomatal proportion of the gymnostom and cheilostom, excretory pore position, postvulval uterine sac length, male and female tail length and morphology, and the length and morphology of the spicules and gubernacula. The occurrence of M. crucis in Spain has, as a result of this study, now also been expanded to a larger area of the southern Iberian Peninsula. Morphological and morphometrical analyses showed that M. canadensis and M. ruehmi are very similar, sharing apomorphic characters. In contrast, M. crucis has plesiomorphic characters. Description, measurements and illustrations are provided for these three species.

Resumen

The transformation from trophont to tomite, morphology, and stomatogenesis during asexual division of the marine ciliate Glauconema trihymene Thompson, 1966 were studied using protargol and Chatton–Lwoff silver nitrate impregnation. An improved diagnosis for the genus Glauconema is suggested: Parauronematidae with polymorphic life cycle comprising trophont, tomite and cyst: buccal apparatus dimorphic, membranelles 1 and 2 closely opposed in trophont while well separated in tomite; paroral membrane uniform, extending anteriorly to midway of membranelle 2; single caudal cilium present; conspicuous glabrous frontal plate. Morphological redescription and stomatogenetic studies were made for G. trihymene. Stomatogenesis in G. trihymene is characterized by: paroral membrane and scutica in the opisthe originate from the anterior part of the parental paroral membrane; membranelles 1 and 2 in the opisthe derive from the posterior part of the parental paroral membrane; the major part of the proliferated scutica develops into membranelle 3 with only a small part comprising several kinetosomes joining in the formation of membranelle 2. Several stages of the transformation from trophont to tomite were also observed. This process starts from an anarchic field, which originates from the whole parental paroral membrane. These develop into two primordia that generate the paroral membrane and three new membranelles, respectively. The three parental membranelles are resorbed or join in the formation of the new membranelles, while the scutica is retained and does not take part in the transformation. The genus Urocryptum Pérez-Uz & Guinea, 2001 is considered a junior synonym of Glauconema and U. tortum is hence transferred to the genus Glauconema as G. tortum (Maupas, 1883) nov. comb.

Maubes traditional house or also known as sonaf Maubes is the physical evidence of the existence, identity, and characteristic of Letmafo society. Maubes traditional house is designed not only as a physical construction,inhabitation but also has a socio-cultural meaning thatcovers any life dimensions.This research aims to elucidate the function as well as the wisdom values of Maubes traditional house. The descriptive qualitative was used as theresearch method. The data of research were the primary data that is interview and secondary data that is the data from observation and document analysis. The result of theresearch shows that Maubes traditional house has a function as a medium of unity, a place to deliberate for tribal members, a sacred place to make relation to the Supreme Being, and a storage room to keep the sacred objects of the predecessor. The values of Maubes traditional house are as follows: religious values, social values, educative values, and unity and brotherhood values.

This study focuses to analise the flouting of conversational maxims which are found in Moana movie. The study uses mix method. There are four of maxims can be revealed. The first is maxim relevance. The reasons of maxim relevance are:“The Maui’s responses do not appropriate to Moana’s statements” and “Moana’s response does not appropriate to Maui’s statement”. The second is maxim manner.The reason of maxim manner are: “Moana’s statements do not clear”, “Maui’s response does not appropriate to Moana’s statement”, and “Maui’s statement does not clear”. The third is maxim quantity. The reasons of maxim quantity are: "The Maui’s responses do not appropriate to Moana’s statements”, “Moana’s responses do not appropriate to Maui’s statement”, “Maui’s statement is flouting the maxim”, and “Moana’s steatment is flouting the maxim”. The forth is maxim quality. The reason is “Maui’s responses contain lies”. that among 4 types of maxim in conversation between the main character, Moana and Maui in Moana movie, the maxim of relevance was the most identifiable type. 16 conversations cover 38,1%. The second is the maxim quantity. 14 conversations cover 33,3%. The third is the maxim manner. 10 conversation or covers 23,8%. The maxim quality gets 2 conversations and covers 4,8%. This paper examines the impacts of MAUMAU in Tanzania. MAUMAU is a popular concept which has been widely used to denote nationalistic movements in Kenya in the period from the early 1940s to the late 1950s. However, scholars who have studied MAUMAU confined their thought to what actually happened in Kenya and hardly thought that MAUMAU transcended the borders of Kenya, and were felt in neighbouring territories such as Tanzania. Using secondary, archival, newspapers and oral sources collected from different parts of Tanzania, I argue that MAUMAU movement created tensions in Tanzania as well, and manifested into relocation of some Kenyans, creation of new histories, identities and developments into Tanzania. Such history can help to understand the presence of some Kenyans in Tanzania and strengthen inter-community relations among members of Tanzania and Kenya states.

<p>Allah SWT hates divorce the most even though He still allows us to do it. If the repudiation (talaq) has been conducted three times, the husband and wife should not reconcile unless the ex-wife marries another man (<em>muḥallil</em>) and has been divorced by her second husband after having an intercourse as a husband and wife. In contrast, there is an obligation for married couples who have been separated because of the third talaq to remarry in Nagari Binjai. This obligation is based on the belief that this is a religious obligation that must be followed by the tradition. The separation because of the third talaq is believed to bring disaster to the village and the subjects will suffer in present life and will not smell the heaven aroma in the hereafter. Even though <em>kawin maupah</em> tradition is maslahah and permissible by some Islamic scholars, it still requires the husband and wife to conduct intercourse prior to the divorce. The maslahah of the <em>kawin maupah</em> is contrary to the Prophet’s guidance, since there is no sexual intercourse in this payment-ordered marriage. Therefore, the practice of <em>kawin maupah</em> by the Nagari Binjai community does not fulfill the qaṣd al-Syâri’ and maqâṣid al-aṣliyah which should be actualized in the maqâṣid al-syarî'ah’s<em> </em>theory.</p>

Mikroorganisme di udara memiliki peranan penting dalam penyebaran infeksi terutama infeksi pada saluran pernapasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Angka Lempeng Total (ALT) bakteri, lama kerja, masa kerja dan penggunaan APD dengan gejala ISPA pada penjual di Pasar Induk Minasa Maupa Kabupaten Gowa tahun 2021. Metode penelitian ini adalah studi analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari mikroorganisme (ALT bakteri) dan sampel manusia (penjual) sebanyak 30 orang. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Pasar Induk Minasa Maupa Kabupaten Gowa dan dilaksanakan pada tahun 2021. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menguji hubungan variabel yang diteliti dengan menggunakan chi-square pada confidient interval 95% (α=0.05). Hasil penelitian diperoleh tidak ada hubungan ALT bakteri dengan gejala ISPA (p=1.000), lama kerja dengan gejala ISPA (p=0.550), masa kerja dengan gejala ISPA (p=0.287), APD dengan gejala ISPA (p=1.000). Diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya lebih dapat menganalisis secara mendalam hubungan antara faktor biologi, kondisi fisik lingkungan dan perilaku penjual dengan adanya gejala ISPA pada penjual.

Spatially aggregated data are prone to the effects of the modifiable areal unit problem (MAUP), which applies to built environments and traffic data. Although various studies have been carried out to explore the impact of built environment factors on traffic systems, few have considered MAUPs, which may result in statistical inconsistency. The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of MAUPs on statistical variables and geographically weighted regression results when evaluating the influence of the built environment on the traffic system state. Fifty sets of spatial configurations were created using the different aggregation criteria. The variance inflation factor and spatial autocorrelation of the variables, as well as the R2 and root mean squared error of the GWR model, were used to assess the MAUP effect. The results show that the index variation is more dependent on the scale of the spatial unit than on zoning type. In the case study presented, based on the available dataset, the optimal spatial unit size for analyzing the influence of the built environment on Jinan’s traffic system was 900 m × 900 m.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tanggungjawab OJK dalam melakukan pengawasan terhadap pinjaman online dan mengetahui pola pola penyelesaian sengketa jika terjadi wanprestasi dalam perjanjian pinjaman online melalui Aplikasi Maucash. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum Normatif-Empiris dengan menggunakan pendekatan perundang-undangan, pendekatan konseptual, dan pendekatan sosiologis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan data kepustakaan dan data lapangan dari hasil wawancara yang dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengawasan yang dilakukan OJK terhadap MauCash berdasarkan POJK Nomor 77/POJK.01/2016 dibagi menjadi dua tahap, yaitu pra-operasional usaha dan saat operasional usaha. Dan mengenai penyelesaian sengketa wanprestasi MauCash membentuk Tim Field Collection untuk penagihan dan dalam kurun waktu 180 hari secara otomatis data akan masuk dalam SLIK OJK.

Основу публикации составляет первый перевод на русский язык полного текста важного документа музыкальной эстетики XVII века — «Ответа лицу, интересующемуся мнением о музыке в Италии» французского исполнителя на виоле Андре Могара. В 1638–1639 годах Могар находился в Риме, лично принимал участие в музыкальной жизни города, посещал многочисленные музыкальные собрания и оставил о них красочные воспоминания. Перевод снабжен обширными комментариями переводчика и большой вступительной статьей. Содержащиеся в них пояснения служат нескольким целям: 1) осветить богатый историографический материал письма с помощью данных современной науки; 2) охарактеризовать личность Могара и представить его заслуги перед историей музыкального искусства; 3) изложить возможные причины нахождения Могара в Риме и проследить влияние, которое они могли оказать на мнение Могара об итальянской и о французской музыке, представленное в письме; 4) обозначить, какое место занимает письмо Могара в истории французской музыкальной эстетики; 5) обрисовать эстетическую природу музыкального искусства Рима в эпоху Урбана VIII. The essential of the publication is the first full translation into Russian of an important document of the 17th century musical aesthetics, Response faite à un curieux sur le sentiment de la musique en Italie by the French viol player André Maugars. In 1638–39 Maugars lived in Rome, personally took part in the musical life of the city, attended numerous musical meetings and left colorful memories of them. Translation is provided with extensive comments and a large introductory article. The explanations contained in them serve several purposes: (1) to elucidate the rich historiographic material of the letter by means of the present knowledge; (2) to characterize the personality of Maugars and to present his merits for the history of musical art; (3) to set forth possible reasons for Maugars’ residence in Rome and to trace the influence they could have on Maugars’ judgement on Italian and French music presented in the letter; (4) to designate the place of Maugars’ letter in the history of the French musical aesthetics; and 5) to outline the aesthetic nature of the Roman music in the era of Urban VIII.
