Texto completoThis work focuses on the supply chain management (SCM) problems, taking into account uncertainties linked to the economical environment but also to certain internal ones (breakdowns especially). It gives some insights about new problems the SCM has to face and the organizational unreliability linked to new issues of the quality of service and performances challenges in a growing instability. A wide bibliography is presented concerning problems treated in the literature, models and methods of applied resolutions (deterministic and stochastic). Some simple and generic examples next are proposed. The applied methods are currently used to study and characterize the behaviour of dynamic systems: - analytical approach (chains of Markov), - stochastic and synchronized Petri nets, - hybrid simulation. These modelling methods can address interesting issues to globally optimize critical coupling that appear in logistics, particularly for the inventory management

Texto completoThis thesis proposes to demonstrate the contribution of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) to improve the process of tactical multi-sites logistics planning with an application to industry European ceramic sanitary ware. Logistics processes are changing thank to ICT, we have a substitution of manual tasks by computing tasks. Our objective was to develop by using ICT, a process of tactical logistics planning in manufacturing of ceramic sanitary ware. Our research relied on interviews, direct observations, simulation, and construction methods. Analysis of technological innovations possibilities allowed to include the ERP during the methodology construction. The objective is to facilitate the assimilation of these technologies to achieve a match between computerized system and business processes and thus to develop success factors. At the end, it was not only a new method of planning, but also a study of impacts of ICT on the tactical planning process. The method is an iterative process between the field and theories. But it seems that the essence is in the succeeding generation methods. Common points exist between each method, with ICT integration growing. This is not reproducible method itself but the degree of assimilation of ICT

Texto completoLogistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) are advocated as improvement areas for the performance of construction sites. Initiatives and attempts to improve supply chains have been implemented recently. In particular, Construction Logistics Centers (CLCs) are gaining more interest among general contractors trying to restructure their materials management methods in complex and confined urban sites. Given the lack of experience and research in the literature regarding CLC solutions and services, this research work aims to contribute to a better understanding of CLC implementation and its corresponding effects. This research work was prepared mainly by a deep investigation of the construction logistics through semi-structured interviews. Lack of time, scarcity of tools, difficulty in estimating costs and benefits and in mobilizing partners were the main difficulties identified in the implementation of a logistics solution. Three levels of criteria are proposed to better understand the choice of these solutions for construction projects. Then, a real experimentation of CLC has been investigated. In fact, this supply system has reduced deliveries, saved time for the workers and improved ergonomics. Nevertheless, it requires more advanced management and causes difficulties in inventory control. Recommendations were provided, both at the strategic and operational levels, for better implementation. The financial viability of CLC from a construction site perspective as well as the effects in terms of deliveries and storage, are also investigated. The results of the exploratory simulation show a relatively positive financial balance and a potential reduction of 26%, 36% and 44% in the number of pallets, storage area and excess storage, respectively. This work has been capitalized in the form of applications that are made available to construction teams. Towards the end of this research work, the effect of CLC on the polluting emissions from the transport of materials is evaluated based on a case study. The results of this study showed a reduction of up to 9%, 12%, 10%, 18%, 19% and 9% of CO2, PM2.5, PM10, CO, NOx and VOC emissions, respectively

Texto completoEnvironmental concerns are increasingly impacting customers’ behavior as well as companies’ strategies. In this context, optimizing the supply chain with environmental considerations is becoming a critical issue. In this thesis we focus on this issue. An originality of our work is to show that supply chain design decisions (facility location, choice of production processes, transportation modes, etc.) impact the environmental quality of a product and therefore affect the level of its demand and / or its selling price. Demand and price are no longer considered as exogenous variables as often done in supply chain optimization existing works, but rather as endogenous variables. In this work we propose a set of supply chain optimization models that take into account the product environmental quality and customers’ preferences towards product environmental quality. Based on a case study from the textile sector, we show the relevance of considering the products’ environmental quality in supply chain optimization models

Texto completoThis thesis work is part of the logistics project of the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Marseille. Indeed the AP-HM opened a logistics platform in April 2013 in order to central- ize production activities of meals, sterilization, storage product and bleaching of linen. These products are then transported in containers, thanks to a team of transport, to the four hospitals in Marseille. After consumption of the products, by healthcare units, used containers must be re- ported to the logistics platform that they are disinfected and reinstated in the production loop. The purpose of this research study is to propose a method and a tool to help the team of regulation of transport for the management of transport resources. This study takes into account the variability of the transport time and the hazards that could inter- vene in the life cycle of a tour of transport. For this we make a knowledge model of logistics system using the ASCI methodology. This model of knowledge is then validated with a simulation model. We offer then a method and a tool allowing the generation of daily tour schedule. This method is an ad - hoc solu- tion that integrates solving a problem loading, planning for vehicle and crew, as well as representation and statistical modelling of variability in the time of transport in urban areas. Indeed, the daily congestion rate can vary a transport time of one to two. Finally, for the management of the ups and downs, we propose a method of repair of planning that we model with multi agent systems. This last point of this thesis according to failure sce- narios, makes it possible to propose the best solution to the transport staff

Texto completoIn the context of sustainable development, new materials are used, new processes are developed and new strategies are implemented. However, it is important to check whether the desired improvement is achieved. This consists in comparing multiple design alternatives considering all impacts simultaneously. Our research has contributed to formulate some way of answers to these questions. The analysis of the textile industry in particular has led us to adopt a systemic and multicriteria approach which is the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This method takes into account all stages of the life cycle of products and quantifies different environmental impacts. However, the interpretation of LCA results of different scenarios for the same textile product is not an easy task. Indeed, in addition to the large number of scenarios, including lack of ecological knowledge about the relative importance of each environmental impact and the uncertainties in the lifecycle inventory data do not let to establish rational classification scenarios in relation to their ecological profiles. Our proposal consists in defining a comprehensive multicriteria decision model specific to the textile field from an existing method of multicriteria analysis. The case studies have explained the complexity related to the textile sector on the one hand and to the LCA methodology on the other hand. An important parameter in the textile LCA has also been shown which is the lifetime of textile products. The application of the proposed methodology has led to significant results in terms of environmental impacts. In addition, the variety of scenarios showed that the analysis of textile LCA results is a conflictual and complex decision-making context. Indeed, the number of possible scenarios can be very large and the amount of data to be processed can be close to infinity for human brain which requires the use of a multicriteria decision support system

Texto completoOver the past decade, the supply chain concept has undergone significant evolution, transitioning toward an integrated approach that considers both upstream and downstream chains simultaneously. This evolution has led to the development of the closed-loop supply chain (CLSC), aimed at optimizing material utilization across various manufacturing processes. While progress in managing and designing CLSCs has been notable, most research approaches have primarily focused on economic aspects, often addressing environmental concerns as an afterthought or separately via life cycle assessment (LCA). The closure of the supply chain loop typically results in a more intricate system compared to traditional supply chains. Consequently, there is an urgent need for specifically tailored quantitative methods and models to assist managers and professionals in creating more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable closed-loop systems. The overarching scientific objective of this study is to conduct an integrated analysis that combines CLSC management concepts and Life Cycle Assessment, exploring their interdependence. This investigation will be supported by the increased utilization of lead-acid batteries in motor vehicles, especially in the context of electric vehicles, considered a promising future vehicle option. The model formulation relies on a mixed-variable linear mathematical programming procedure (MILP), incorporating a multi-criteria approach focused on cost minimization and environmental impact. This formulation considers five tiers in the forward network (suppliers, producers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers) and seven tiers in the reverse network (collection and recycling centers, product disposal, disassembly plant, raw material disposal, third parties, and remanufacturing). The multi-level multi-period strategy involves initially identifying and reducing significant criteria applicable in the multi-objective (in this case, bi-objective) optimization procedure. Two crucial criteria emerged: the total cost of the supply chain and total greenhouse gas emissions, which were recognized as conflicting, warranting the implementation of an epsilon-constraint procedure. The first application of decision support methods (M-TOPSIS and TOPSIS) facilitated the identification of potential supply chain configurations. Subsequently, a life cycle assessment was conducted on the Pareto front-end solutions, enabling a comprehensive multi-criteria analysis involving the selected impact analysis method (Impact 2002+) and the cost criterion. This step revealed solutions that outperformed those previously identified, validating the approach.Strategically, this required the development of environmental submodules for the supply chain blocks to consistently compute environmental indicators. This involved extracting data from the EcoInvent database and utilizing impact factors pertinent to the study's analysis method.Lastly, a sensitivity study highlighted that, for the case study: (i) an increase in the percentage of raw materials recovered from a product designated for recycling, (ii) an improved recovery rate, and (iii) enhancements in the manufacturing/remanufacturing process regarding GHG emissions, are particularly significant in improving the performance of all indicators

Texto completoFunctional and circular economies are often presented as promising strategies to address the environmental issues associated with our modern production/consumption systems. Within these systems, the circulation processes themselves are usually poorly addressed, in spite of the increasing energy consumption and emissions associated with logistics under the current trends of globalization. The present thesis aims at filling this gap by analyzing the relationship between the representation of human activities and circulation processes and the issue of sustainability. Dealing with the triptych sustainability/supply chain management/circular and functional economies, the thesis shows that the standardized representation of space and time in the current dominant economic conventions acts as a barrier to the development of truly sustainable circulation processes. It finds that the closing loop approach of the circular economy and the product/service approach of the functional economy require specific definitions and policy measures for resources and demand, so that they can be considered as real sustainable strategies. This necessity to develop specific new approaches was further supported with evidence from a new logistics and freight transportation model for France. The model indicates that a generic approach towards a functional economy would lead to 5% increase of CO2 emissions (associated with French interregional traded tons) while a targeted approach would lead to a 3% reduction in comparison to the reference logistics scenario

Texto completoCorporate social responsibility (CSR) represents a major concern for companies that need to integrate not only the economic and financial dimensions of their activities but also the social and environmental aspects. The scope of a company's responsibility is no longer limited to these borders but extends to all of these business partners. Also, there has been a resurgence of both academic and professional studies on CSR diffusion processes in the supply chain (SC). However, many academic studies tend to analyze this issue at the dyadic level or focus on a dimension of CSR. This thesis attempts to fill this gap and questions the mechanisms for extending CSR at the SC level. Thus, we are particularly interested in the role that a focal company, a central actor in the network, can play in the implementation of CSR actions in satellites companies. Our analysis is carried out in three stages. In the first, we try to construct an original conceptual model integrating both the governance mechanisms used by the focal company and its motivations to implement them. The next step concern methodological choices that are decisive for our research : we choose to test our model in the agri-food sector using structural equations. The various results obtained will be presented and analyzed, in a third stage, to allow us to answer our initial questioning. In addition to the validity of our measurement scales, the results indicate that governance by the focal company contributes to the implementation of CSR actions in the SC. We identify the most relevant mechanisms as well as the levers of action towards a more sustainable management of SC

Texto completoDeforestation, climate change and poverty have become some of the hottest topics of this century. Both scholars and practitioners recognize them as major societal grand challenges, with a growing number of academics referring to them as “wicked problems”. Due to their complex, uncertain and controversial nature, wicked problems cannot be effectively handled by individual actors. Their magnitude calls for a collective governance approach, including a wide range of heterogeneous actors with a diverse set of expertise and background, each of them bringing a different perspective to the problem. The purpose of this research is to better understand the role of collective arrangements tackling wicked problems in the context of global supply networks. This study is mainly framed within the field of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM). Although collective initiatives are the focus of a growing number of studies in the SSCM literature, scholars from the discipline still refer to these players as “nontraditional” supply chain actors. The political CSR (PCSR) theoretical stream complements the SSCM literature and provides a new perspective to shed the light on the effectiveness and legitimacy of collective arrangements in dealing with wicked problems in global supply networks. This research adopts an inductive qualitative approach and explores collective arrangements through the case of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). The findings are articulated around four papers, exploring the following issues: (1) the role of nontraditional actors in the governance of SSCM; (2) the mechanisms employed by a leading collective initiative to promote sustainability along the palm oil supply network; (3) the “dark sides” of these new forms of governance of wicked problems and; (4) the construction of a collective identity and a legitimate authority in tackling wicked problems. In contrast to the current normative approach of PCSR, mobilizing the discourse analysis methodology in the PCSR field to shed light on the political multivocal discursive construction of collective identities, contributes to the exposure of subtle and less-apparent power dynamics, underpinning the legitimacy construction of collective initiatives. By adopting a critical approach, the main contribution of this research to the SSCM literature is the shift from the traditional SCM assumptions of linearity (dominated by the focal-firm-centric perspective) to a more integrative logic at the supraorganizational level. In doing so, it is possible to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the role of collective arrangements in the context of supply networks and reveal their underlying political and power struggles in framing the different facets of wicked problems

Texto completoThe purpose of the present research is to find out the conditions which enable a logistics service provider to act as a middleman in a supply chain in the context of sustainable development. Face with regulation pressures concerning electric and electronic equipment waste and the various reactions of the actors responsible for recycling, the research develops two phases : the first, in Norway, provides a reading guide of the general context ; the second, in France, consists in a typical case study which involves many interacting actors and emphasizes the intermediary role of the provider. The results depend on the mobilization of skills in the field of thinking, organizing and relating to one another, and also imply the smooth implication of the stakeholders. These results should demonstrate that the logistics service provider who offers help in the field of global responsability can actually act as an intermediary in the context of sustainable development. Provided he or she takes into account all the parties involved and brings together the required abilities for coordinate management of the supply chain

Because of the low improvement concerning environmental externalities for freight transport. we wonder if the sustainable freight transport policies are able to achieve their goals. Our thesis wants to highlight the role of the underlying theories in the weak results of the sustainable freight transport policies. The main hvpothesis of this thesis is that the public policies select specific actions or measures according to a particu]ar representation of the problems that is always Iinked to a theoretical framework. This theoretical framework influences the goals and the political tools of the sustainable freight transport policies. However, this orientation can explain the difficulties of the sustainable freight transport policies to reduce environmental externalities. The stake is thus to put the stress on the underlving theories in the sustainable freight transport policies and their links with the resu]ts

Texto completoAddressing the difficult problem of eliminating mobile phone waste, based on the concept of creating shared value, circular economy and green supply chain, this thesis was first demonstrated in theoretical frameworks and by the theoretical review of the literature, then put forward the idea and method to build a mobile phone waste recycling system based on these theories. To facilitate the recycling of mobile phone waste at the practical level in China and other countries, the existing problems and the way of operation are summarized, and the utilization space of mobile phone waste is expanded. Quantitative analysis is applied to examine the relevant evaluation indicators and mathematical models at the analytical level. This thesis mainly used the following four types of research methods: analytic hierarchy process, empirical analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as an integration of the macro level and micro level analysis. Through these research methods, this thesis made a detailed analysis and discussion on the recycling status, influencing factors, the effects of use, comprehensive evaluation index system and relevant laws and regulations of mobile phone waste. After a detailed analysis, the thesis concluded that even though the evidences have showed that mobile phones waste cause serious pollution to the environment, an enormous amount of economic values still existed in the mobile phones waste. The low rates of recycling and reusing of systems could be strengthened first by improving the economic mechanism based on improving the economic mechanism based on the theories of the circular economy, creating shared value and green supply chains. Second, by improving the technological innovation. Third, by building a relevant system of laws and regulations on mobile phone waste management. Fourth, by establishing a system of reasonable and effective evaluation indicators through the use of mathematical models. And finally, by subsidizing educational activities to promote the protection of the environment and put in place a set of management systems that involve the public, governments and manufacturing companies
Peng, Zhihao. "Optimisation par essaims particulaires pour la logistique urbaine". Thesis, Bourgogne Franche-Comté, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019UBFCA010/document.
Texto completoIn this thesis, we are interested in the management of goods flows in urban areas, also called last mile logistics, and associated with various current issues: economic, environmental, and societal. Four main stakeholders are involved by these challenges: shippers, customers, carriers and local authorities, each with different priorities (improving service quality, minimizing the travelling distance, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, etc.). Faced with these challenges in the city, one possible action lever is to optimize the routes for the pickup and/or delivery of goods. Three types of urban flows are considered: from or to the city, and intra-urban. For outgoing and incoming flows into the city, the goods are first grouped in a warehouse located on the suburban area of the city. If there are several warehouses, the associated planning problem is the Location Routing Problem (LRP). We are studying one of its variants called the Capacitated Location Routing Problem (CLRP). In this problem, by respecting the capacity constraint on vehicles and depots, the location of depots and route planning are considered at the same time. The objective is to minimize the total cost, which consists of the cost of opening depots, the cost of using vehicles, and the cost of the travelling distance. For all flows, we are also looking to solve a Pickup and Delivery Problem (PDP), in which a fleet of vehicles simultaneously carries out pickup and delivery operations. We focus on two of its variants: the selective variant where not all requests are satisfied, in a context of paired demands and time windows on sites (Selective Pickup and Delivery Problem with Time Windows and Paired Demands, or SPDPTWPD). The second studied variant is the extension of the first one by adding the possibility of carrying out transport in several stages by introducing operations for the exchange of goods between vehicles at transfer sites (Selective Pickup and Delivery with Transfers or SPDPT). The considered objectives for these two variants of PDP are to maximize profit and to minimize distance. Each studied problem is formally described, mathematically modelled as a linear program and then solved by exact, heuristic and/or metaheuristic methods. In particular, we have developed algorithms based on a metaheuristic called Particle Swarm Optimization, which we have hybridized with local search operators. The approaches are validated on instances of different sizes from the literature and/or on instances that we have generated. The results are critically analyzed to highlight the advantages and drawbacks of each method

Texto completoIt is well known that the territorial industrial ecosystem is now a major issue in territory planning policies. As a result, it constitutes a system of action in which the various actors involved use different approaches and whose objectives are not always close and sometimes conflicting points of view. In all approaches, an ideal type of dashboard incorporating indicators and focusing on performance pilotage is emerging today from the literature. In this context, it appears the importance of the treatment of the problem of evaluation of a territorial industrial ecosystem and more precisely the evaluation of the performance of a distribution system in a port area: the hinterland. This subject has not been sufficiently developed in the literature since it has not been treated with a multidisciplinary approach. This problem is characterized by the strong link between the transport infrastructure, the territorial system and the logistics zones following the exchange of goods flows in the territory through the transport infrastructure. The theoretical contribution of this work is presented in the original investigation approach, which involves different theoretical approaches in order to understand and solve a problem related to two complex systems (the logistics system and the territorial system). For clarity, this work is a decision aid through the reflection on distribution solutions by integrating territorial specificities and not as a tool for optimizing tours or logistics organization

Texto completoTransportation of merchandise in urban areas has become an important nowadays topic. In fact, transportation is a vital activity for each city, but entail pollution, congestion, accidents.City logistics aims at optimizing the whole urban logistics and transportation process, taking into account environmental and social aspects. This thesis, that is part of the MODUM project, finds its location in this area of research. In particular, MODUM aims at studying a delivery system based on City Distribution Centers. We first present a classification and an analysis of urban good movements and routing problems peculiar to metropolitan areas. A second survey proposes a complete collection of articles that has been done on the Multi Trip Vehicle Routing Problem (MTVRP). The MTVRP is an extension of the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) where vehicles are allowed to perform several trips. We propose an efficient heuristic for the MTVRP that is, in a subsequent step, adapted to a new routing problem, the MTVRP with Time Windows and Release Dates (MTVRPTWR). It is a variant of the MTVRP where each customer is associated with a time window and each merchandise is associated with a release date that represents the instant it becomes available at the depot. We, then, study a variant of the MTVRP where goods belong to different commodities that cannot be transported at the same time by the same vehicle. An analysis is conducted on the benefits of the multi-trip aspect in fleet dimensioning problems. Finally we describe the complex routing problem that arises in MODUM and the simulator that is developed to evaluate the performances of the system

Texto completoRelated to the growing transport's externalities, more and more criticizecl, mainh for freight transport policies have graduallv taken into account new targets in terms of sustainable development.

Texto completoUrban logistics and the last mile in particular, is a major concern for cities today. To address this concern, we have established in the introductory chapter a history of the problem of urban logistics. This allows a better understanding of its development over the years, and deducing that it’s essential to study the supply chain in its entirety to better solve the problem of urban logistics. However, we were faced with a daunting task: the lack of comprehensive and reliable data. In addition, there has been a multiplication of distribution channels in recent years. This includes the delivery from warehouses to stores and further to households from the retail space. Therefore, we intended to identify all existing and emerging logistics organizations in France and beyond (one year exchange stay in England and Switzerland for research purposes). To do this, we established in the second chapter certain parameters that differentiate the logistics modes of various organizations upstream (from manufacturers to retail stores) and downstream (from retail stores to households). Unfortunately, there does not exist any economic and environmental assessment to settle between different forms of traditional and modern electronic distribution, by taking into account the various characteristics of different products families (non-food, dry, fresh, frozen) and the diversity of their delivery modes.Faced with constraints of such size, we conducted surveys with different actors of distribution channels, which provided the opportunity to make contacts, thus collect firsthand and so far unpublished technical and economic data. In addition to the resolution of empirical inadequacy in the third chapter, this research also helped to develop a methodological approach related to the reconstruction and evaluation of logistics costs and emissions (in warehouses, transit platforms, retail stores and shared platforms) and also the costs and emissions of vehicles (trucks, delivery van, cars, public transport, bikes, motorbikes and walking). Finally, this research has lead to the construction of a database and the development of a decision support tool to infer, in the fourth chapter, the economic and environmental appraisal of the entire supply chain from the supplier's warehouse to the final customer. This tool can be useful for public policy, future strategies of retailers and Third-Party Logistics providers to focus on efficient and sustainable modes of organization, and even it will benefit the customer to estimate the costs and emissions of its acts of purchase in classic and e-grocery shopping
Verny, Jérôme. "Transport de marchandises en Europe et développement durable : analyse du découplage absolu par la distance". Thesis, Littoral, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013DUNK0410.
Texto completoThis thesis deals with the sustainability of the freight transport system in Europe and France thanks to the coupling between freight transport and economic growth. Among the underlying mechanisms and factors, distance as an object of research allows us to highlight the evolution of geographical location strategies productive and distributive activities. The methodological approach of geographicallt decoupling aims to help understand concepts of a limited dependence on distance. The empirical study, divided into product families, shows that the levers are mainly in the transport service-based component. Their application to all stakeholders in the global supply chain will pass through incentives from public sources
