Resumen
Focused ion beam (FIB) processing has been established as a well-suited and promising technique in R&D in nearly all fields of nanotechnology for patterning and prototyping on the micrometer scale and below. Liquid metal alloy ion sources (LMAISs) represent an alternative to expand FIB application fields beyond all other source concepts. In particular, ions from the rare earth (RE) element Dy are very interesting for local modification of magnetic properties like RE-induced damping in metallic alloys. In this article, various alloys for source preparation were investigated. A promising solution was found in a Cu30Dy70 based LMAIS, which will be introduced in more detail.

Resumen
While the application of focused ion beam (FIB) techniques has become a well-established technique in research and development for patterning and prototyping on the nanometer scale, there is still a large underused potential with respect to the usage of ion species other than gallium. Light ions in the range of m = 1–28 u (hydrogen to silicon) are of increasing interest due to the available high beam resolution in the nanometer range and their special chemical and physical behavior in the substrate. In this work, helium and neon ion beams from a helium ion microscope are compared with ion beams such as lithium, beryllium, boron, and silicon, obtained from a mass-separated FIB using a liquid metal alloy ion source (LMAIS) with respect to the imaging and milling resolution, as well as the current stability. Simulations were carried out to investigate whether the experimentally smallest ion-milled trenches are limited by the size of the collision cascade. While He+ offers, experimentally and in simulations, the smallest minimum trench width, light ion species such as Li+ or Be+ from a LMAIS offer higher milling rates and ion currents while outperforming the milling resolution of Ne+ from a gas field ion source. The comparison allows one to select the best possible ion species for the specific demands in terms of resolution, beam current, and volume to be drilled.

Resumen
This paper investigates the consensus problem of high-order continuous-time linear multiagent systems (LMASs) with multitype switching topologies which include both consensusable and unconsensusable communication topologies. A linear transformation is introduced, which equivalently transforms the consensus problem into the stability problem of a corresponding switched system, along with a necessary and sufficient condition to analyze the consensus problem. This paper is aimed at studying the impact of a switching rule on communication topologies for consensus of LMASs. Based on the dynamic dwell time method, a sufficient condition is derived for consensus of LMASs. It is shown that, with switching signals that satisfy this switching rule, LMASs can achieve consensus under directed switching communication topologies. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Resumen
In general, when using the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model to develop a control system, the state feedback control gain can be obtained by solving some linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). In this paper, we consider a class of nonlinear systems with input constraint (saturation). To obtain the control gain, we require to employ certain extra LMIs besides the general ones. As a result, all the LMIs are more conservative. At the same time, one of the extra LMIs confines the initial state to a region, which is referred to as an ellipsoid, and is relevant to a matrix variable in the LMIs. Therefore, the goals of this paper are: 1) making the ellipsoid as large as possible so that the initial state can be confined to the region easily and; 2) making all the LMIs more feasible to obtain the control gain.

Resumen
In this paper, new stability criteria for linear time-invariant fractional-order systems (LTIFOSs) based on linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) are derived. The solved variable of the existing LMI formulations is generalized to a complex one. In addition, based on the congruent transformation, a new LMI formulation is obtained, which is different from those in the existing literature. To deal with the above LMIs more conveniently with simulation software, the complex LMIs are converted to equivalent real LMIs. Finally, numerical examples are presented to validate the effectiveness of our theoretical results.

Resumen
Side streams and byproducts of food are established sources of natural ingredients in cosmetics. In the present study, we obtained upcycled low-molecular-weight anionic peptides (LMAPs) using byproducts of the post-yuzu-juicing process by employing an enzyme derived from Bacillus sp. For the first time, we isolated anionic peptides less than 500 Da in molecular weight from Citrus junos TANAKA seeds via hydrolysis using this enzyme. The protective effect of LMAPs against UVR-induced photoaging was evaluated using a reconstructed skin tissue (RST) model and keratinocytes. The LMAPs protected the keratinocytes by scavenging intracellular reactive oxygen species and by reducing the levels of paracrine cytokines (IL-6 and TNF-α) in UVR (UVA 2 J/cm2 and UVB 15 mJ/cm2)-irradiated keratinocytes. Additionally, the increase in melanin synthesis and TRP-2 expression in RST caused by UVR was significantly inhibited by LMAP treatment. This treatment strongly induced the expression of filaggrin and laminin-5 in UVR-irradiated RST. It also increased type I collagen expression in the dermal region and in fibroblasts in vitro. These results suggest that a hydrolytic system using the enzyme derived from Bacillus sp. can be used for the commercial production of LMAPs from food byproducts and that these LMAPs can be effective ingredients for improving photoaging-induced skin diseases.

Resumen
The demographic dividen can provide benefits for Indonesia. The proportion of the working age population in Indonesia until 2021 is reaching 205.36 million, which is 68.08% of the workforce. The labor force participation is 93.74%, with the informal sector as much as 59.6%, and the number of unemployed reaches 6.26%. The labourforce structure profile is a challenge for the Indonesian government to encourage the population to participate to industry. The developing of Labour Market Information System (LMIS) is one of the goverment to gather job seekers and employers with the final objective is to reduce unemployment. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the LMIS that has been developed by the Government of Indonesia and to formulate an LMIS development strategy to meets international standards. This study uses qualitative analysis methods. Sampling using purposive sampling technique by taking samples of several provinces that are categorized as densely industrialized and have a high unemployment rate. LMIS owned by Indonesia is still classified as basic level to middle class. Based on the problems that occur in LMIS development and the low level of utilization, the LMIS development method must be based on and pay attention to the needs of stakeholders.

Resumen
Diagnosing leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) in medulloblastoma is currently based on positive cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cytology or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) finding. However, the relevance of discordant results has not been established. We evaluated the diagnostic potential of CSF metabolomic profiles in the medulloblastoma LM assessment. A total of 83 CSF samples from medulloblastoma patients with documented MRI and CSF cytology results at the time of sampling for LM underwent low-mass ions (LMIs) analysis using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. Discriminating LMIs were selected by a summed sensitivity and specificity (>160%) and LMI discriminant equation (LOME) algorithms, evaluated by measuring diagnostic accuracy for verifying LM groups of different MRI/cytology results. Diagnostic accuracy of LM in medulloblastoma was 0.722 for cytology and 0.889 for MRI. Among 6572 LMIs identified in all sample, we identified 27 discriminative LMIs differentiating MRI (+)/cytology (+) from MRI (−)/cytology (−). Using LMI discriminant equation (LOME) analysis, we selected 9 LMIs with a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 93.6% for differentiating MRI (+)/cytology (+) from MRI (−)/cytology (−). Another LOME of 20 LMIs significantly differentiated sampling time relative to treatment (p = 0.007) and the presence or absence of LM-related symptoms (p = 0.03) in the MRI (+)/cytology (−) group. CSF metabolomics of medulloblastoma patients revealed significantly different profiles among LM diagnosed with different test results. We suggest that LM patients could be screened by appropriately selected LOME-generated LMIs to support LM diagnosis by either MRI or cytology alone.

Resumen
Leptomeningeal anastomoses (LMAs) are pial collaterals that perfuse the penumbra and important for stroke outcome. We previously showed LMAs from SHRs (spontaneously hypertensive rats) were vasoconstricted compared with normotensive Wistar rats. Here, we investigated mechanisms by which hypertension causes LMA vasoconstriction. SHRs were treated with the ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitor captopril, an Ang II (angiotensin II)–independent antihypertensive agent hydralazine, or vehicle for 5 weeks in drinking water (n=8/group). A group of Wistar rats (n=8) had regular drinking water served as controls. Blood pressure was measured twice weekly by tail-cuff. LMAs were isolated and studied under pressurized conditions. Vasoreactivity of LMAs, including myogenic responses, reactivity to Rho-kinase inhibitor Y-27632, and nitric oxide were measured. Both captopril and hydralazine lowered blood pressure in SHRs similar to Wistar. However, only captopril normalized LMA increased tone compared with untreated SHRs (15±2% versus 50±3%; P <0.01) that was similar to Wistar (16±2%) but not hydralazine (38±6%; P >0.05). Vasodilatory response of LMAs to Y-27632 was impaired in SHRs compared with Wistar (28±3% versus 81±4%; P <0.01) that was restored by captopril (84±5%; P <0.01) and partially hydralazine (59±4%). LMAs from all groups constricted similarly to NOS (NO synthase) inhibition; however, the vasodilatory response of LMAs to the nitric oxide donor sodium nitroprusside was impaired in SHRs compared with Wistar rats (29±4% versus 80±2%; P <0.01) that was restored by captopril (84±4%; P <0.01), not hydralazine (38±8%; P >0.05). These results suggest that ACE inhibition during chronic hypertension reversed vascular dysfunction and hyperconstriction of LMAs that could improve stroke outcome by increasing collateral perfusion.

Resumen
The aim of the article is to delineate Labour Market Areas (LMAs) in Poland with the use of the European version of the Travel to Work Areas (EU-TTWA) methodology that was developed under Eurostat auspices. We received over 300 areas that consist of LAU-2 units (gminas) – the smallest administrative regions in Poland. We discuss Poland-specific results and problems. We compare numbers of LMAs in countries with EU-TTWA-delineated LMAs in relation to population density, total population and area. We propose the taxonomic rank method to select the parameter values for the EU-TTWA algorithm. LMAs may deliver useful spatial information, although one needs to account for their heterogeneity.

Resumen
Economic development often leads to the misallocation of labor resources, so reforming the way land is allocated is important for developing a strategy to address the insufficient supply and oversupply of labor in China. This paper uses panel regression analysis to quantitatively measure the effect of the market supply of construction land (MSCL) on labor resources misallocation (LMIS). The results show that LMIS decreased year-by-year during the study period. The development of the MSCL can effectively reduce LMIS. The negative effect of the MSCL in the central region is greater than that in the eastern region, and the negative effect in the western region is the smallest. There is a single-threshold effect on the impact of the MSCL on LMIS. Specifically, when the MSCL is less than 18,045 hectares, the impact effect is −0.324, and when the MSCL is higher than 18,045 hectares, the effect is not significant. Moreover, the impact of the MSCL on LMIS has a spatial spillover effect, which is greater than the direct effect. Labor resources tend to migrate to economically developed areas, not just adjacent areas. These conclusions are of great significance for reducing LMIS from the perspective of land system reform in China.

Resumen
507 Background: Patients show variable responses to chemoradiotherapy (CRT), generally performed before surgery for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). We aimed to identify molecular markers predictive of CRT responses by analyzing low-mass ions (LMIs) in serum of LARC patients. Methods: LMIs (<1000 m/z) in serum obtained before CRT from 73 LARC (cT3–4) patients were profiled using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry. LMIs with higher weighting factors in discriminating CRT responses were selected using principal components analysis and discriminant analysis. Selected LMIs were identified using the Human Metabolome Database. The concentrations of identified LMIs were determined by colorimetric enzyme assay, and compared according to post-CRT pathological stage (ypStage) or Dworak’s tumor regression grade (TRG). Results: The nine highest-ranking LMIs were selected. Among them, two LMIs with 137.08 and 169.04 m/z were identified as hypoxanthine (HX) and phosphoenolpyruvic acid (PEP), respectively. The HX concentration was higher in patients with ypStage 0-I compared with ypStage II-IV (p = 0.034) or ypStage III-IV (p = 0.030); a similar difference was observed between TRG IV-III and TRG 1 (p = 0.035). In contrast, the concentration of PEP was significantly lower in TRG 4-3 compared to TRG 2-1 (p = 0.012), and a lower PEP level was also found in ypStage 0 compared to ypStage I-IV, with marginal significance (p = 0.061). Conclusions: This study demonstrated that pretreatment serum concentrations of HX and PEP, identified using LMI profiling, may be useful for predicting the CRT response of LARC.

Resumen
Abstract BACKGROUND Diagnosis of leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) in medulloblastoma is made by positive findings in either MRI or CSF cytology. We studied if CSF metabolomics profile can differentiate the discordant results between MRI and CSF cytology and reflect the sampling time related to treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS We prospectively collected 83 CSF samples from 45 medulloblastoma patients. A total of 6,527 low-mass ions (LMIs) were detected using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Discriminative low-mass ions (LMIs) between four different MRI and cytology results groups were evaluated and representative LMIs were identified. RESULTS CSF cytology and MRI finding were both positive for LM in 8 samples and both negative for 47 samples. Tests were cytology (-) and MRI (+) in 20 samples, whereas cytology (+) and MRI (-) status were in the remaining 8 samples. The diagnostic accuracy by area under the curve (AUC) was 0.722 for cytology and 0.888 for MRI each. Based on the exclusiveness of LMI between groups, we verified 27 discriminative LMIs in MRI (+)/ cytology (+), 9 LMIs in MRI (+)/ cytology (-), and 12 LMIs in MRI (-) and cytology (+) group, separately. Metabolic pathways involved in MRI (+)/ cytology (+) group were linoleic acid, phenylalanine, TCA cycle, retinol, arginine-ornithine, nicotinate-nicotinamide, etc. Low-mass-ion discriminant equation (LOME), which could differentiate both different MRI and cytology results and the sampling time or presence of LM-related symptoms was found. CONCLUSION Non-targeted MSanalysis CSF metabolite in medulloblastomas revealed significantly different profiles, and these results suggest LMI profiles might have a higher sensitivity for LM diagnosis than either MRI or cytology.

Resumen
Rangelands which consist of grasslands, shrublands and savannahs are used by wildlife for habitat and are the main source of forage for livestock. The assessment and monitoring of rangeland condition is one of the most important factors for rangeland scientists in order to calculate the carrying capacity of livestock with consideration for coexisting wildlife. This study assessed the potential of Landsat 8 multispectral bands and broadband vegetation indices to model woody vegetation parameters such as tree equivalents (TE) and total leaf mass (LMASS) for the Thanda Private Game Reserve using partial least squares regression (PLSR). The PLSR model predicted TE with an R2 value of 0.76 and a root mean square error (RMSE) of 1411 TE/ha using an independent test dataset. LMASS was predicted with an R2 value of 0.67 and a RMSE of 853 kg/ha on an independent test dataset. The predictive models were then inverted to map TE and LMASS over the study area. The modelled TE and LMASS layers were integrated with conventional grazing and browse capacity models to map carrying capacity for the Game Reserve. The study indicates the potential of Landsat 8 multispectral data in carrying capacity modelling. The result is significant for rangeland monitoring in Southern Africa using remote sensing technologies.

Resumen
The monotonic convergence (MC) property of discrete two-dimensional (2-D) systems described by the Roesser model is studied. The MC problem of the 2-D system is firstly converted to two H∞ disturbance attenuation problems of the traditional one-dimensional system. Then, the sufficient condition is derived for the MC, which is given by two linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Furthermore, it can be shown that either of the LMIs can also guarantee the Bounded-Input Bounded-Output (BIBO) stability of the 2-D system. Finally, a simulation example is given to show the effectiveness of the LMIs condition.

Resumen
Second generation supraglottic airway devices (SAD) are gaining importance due to their better seal pressure. Recently introduced Ambu® AuraGain™ (AAG) and LMA® Supreme™ (LMAS) needs evaluation regarding their safety and efficacy. Evaluation of AAG and LMAS in terms of Oropharyngeal Leak Pressure (OLP) and performance characteristics. : A randomised prospective comparative study done in JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, Karnataka, India. 140 adult patients posted for elective surgeries requiring general anaesthesia were randomised into two groups. SAD was inserted using standardized techniques and evaluated for OLP as primary objective. The data analysed using SPSS software version 22 and descriptive statistics were expressed as mean ± standard deviation (SD), percentage. Kruskal-Wallis rank sum tests were used for quantative data analysis, p <0.05 was considered significant. 138 patients (AAG = 68; LMAS =70) completed the study. There was significant difference noted between the OLP of AAG 33.59±3.65 cmH2O and LMAS 29.67±3.28 cmH2O (p value 0.001). LMAS had first attempt insertion success rate of 87% (61/70) as against 80% (56/70) in AAG, but was statistically insignificant (p value 0.549). Mean time for insertion of LMAS was 18.94± 5.2 seconds and AAG 20.11±4.9 seconds, (p value = 0.18). The ease of insertion of SAD, gastric tube insertion through the SAD and post-operative complications were comparable between the groups. Ambu® AuraGain™ was found to have a higher OLP in sustaining positive pressure ventilation, airway protection against aspiration in patients undergoing general anaesthesia.Oropharyngeal leak pressure is better with Ambu® AuraGain™ compared to LMA® Supreme™ while other performance characteristics of both the devices are comparable.
