Resumen
Sensor-based Facial expression recognition (FER) is an attractive research topic. Nowadays, FER is used for different application such as smart environments and healthcare solutions. The machine can learn human emotion by using FER technology. It is the primary and essential for quantitative analysis of human sentiments. FER is an image recognition problem within the broader field of computer vision. Face detection and tracking, reliable face recognition still present a considerable challenge for researchers in computer vision and pattern recognition. First, data processing and analytics are intensive and require a large number of computation resources and memory. Second, the fundamental technical limitation is its robustness in changes in the environment. Finally, illumination variation further complicates the design of robust algorithms because of changes in shadow casts. However, sensor-based FER overcomes all these limitations. Sensor technologies, especially low-power, wireless communication, high-capacity, and data processing have made substantial progress, making it possible for sensors to evolve from low-level data collection and transmission to high-level inference. This study aims to develop a stretchable sensor-based FER system. We use random forest machine learning algorithms used for training the FER model. Commercial stretchable facial expression dataset is simulated into the anaconda software. In this research, our stretch sensor FER dataset obtained around 95% accuracy for four different emotions (Neutral, Happy, Sad, and Disgust).

Resumen
Facial emotion expressions are among the most potent, natural, and powerful means of human communication. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, educational institutions worldwide are forced to switch rapidly to remote and online learning. Students are currently in an emergency state and must adapt to various and readily accessible learning methods, such as mobile learning applications or an e-learning system. A systematic literature review (SLR) is conducted to extract and synthesize information such as the emotion classifier used in the facial expression recognition (FER) system, the dataset used, the preprocessing technique applied, the feature extraction approach used, and the strength and limitation of the previous studies. Based on the search criteria, 701 publications were initially retrieved from five different digital databases, of which 48 studies have been chosen as primary studies for further analysis. Based on the findings of this study, the deep learning approach is the most frequently adopted approach in classifying student emotions during online learning. FER-2013 is the most commonly used FER dataset in FER studies, while DAiSEE is the most used academic emotion dataset. Moreover, support vector machine (SVM) is the conventional learning emotion classifier that is widely used in the FER systems, while convolutional neural network (CNN) is the most frequently used deep learning classifier. Next, it was found that the number of real-time FER systems is less than that of non-real-time FER systems. Finally, the top-1 accuracy of 94.6% was achieved by the long-term recurrent convolutional network on the academic emotion dataset, and the limitation is that it has low illumination and a lack of frontal pose.

Resumen
PurposeThis study aimed to estimate the economic benefits of PM2.5 emission abatement by Red Pine, Pinus Koraiensis and Quercus, using a metering model analyzing the amount of PM2.5 absorption in Korea.Design/methodology/approachTo estimate the economic effects of PM2.5 adsorptions by trees, the frequency of hospital visits resulting from respiratory and circulatory diseases was estimated using a Probit model based on the data from National Health and Nutrition Survey.FindingsThe results show that Quercus and Pinus Koraiensis absorb and eliminate the largest amount of PM2.5. Reducing 1 ton of PM2.5 emission through the planting of trees leads to lower incidences of respiratory and circulatory diseases equivalent to the amount of 95 million won. When the trees planted are 2-year-old Red Pine, Pinus Koraiensis and Quercus, the resulting economic benefits of the PM2.5 abatement would amount to 481 million won, 173 million won and 1,027 million won, respectively. If the trees are 80 years old, the economic benefits are estimated to be 73 billion won for Red Pine, 103 billion won for Pinus Koraiensis and 38 billion won for Quercus.Research limitations/implicationsOne limitation of this study is that the weight of PM2.5 adsorbed by each leaf area entirely depended on the experimental results from a prior study and the values are likely to be different from those actually absorbed in natural surroundings. In addition, because of the lack of data from a domestic survey on the surface of leaf area or the reload flow rate of PM2.5, this study referred to data from foreign research. Unfortunately, this specific data may not reflect climatic and terrain characteristics specific to the target country. We used the annual wind speed to calculate the reload flow rate and elimination volume; however, the figures could be more accurate with hourly or daily climate variations. When estimating the health benefits of changes in PM2.5 emissions on respiratory and circulatory diseases, more segmented access to patients' hospital visits and hospital admissions are desirable. Finally, the study focused on the three major tree species of Korea, however, a more detailed study of PM2.5 reduction by various tree types is needed in the future.Originality/valueThis paper quantitatively assessed the amount of PM2.5 adsorption by each of the three tree species. Then, the economic benefits were calculated in terms of how much money would be saved on hospital visits thanks to the reduced PM2.5 levels and lower incidences of respiratory and circulatory system diseases. The net contribution of this study was to prove the trees' function of reducing PM2.5 as it relates to human health. We focused on the most common trees in Korea and compared them to provide new information on the species.

Resumen
A proton-exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) constitutes today one of the preferred technologies to promote hydrogen-based alternative energies. However, the large-scale deployment of PEMFCs is still hampered by insufficient durability and reliability. In particular, the degradation of the polyelectrolyte membrane, caused by harsh mechanical and chemical stresses experienced during fuel cell operation, has been identified as one of the main factors restricting the PEMFC lifetime. An innovative chemical-mechanical ex situ aging device was developed to simultaneously expose the membrane to mechanical fatigue and an oxidizing environment (i.e., free radicals) in order to reproduce conditions close to those encountered in fuel cell systems. A cyclic compressive stress of 5 or 10 MPa was applied during several hours while a degrading solution (H2O2 or a Fenton solution) was circulated in contact with the membrane. The results demonstrated that both composite Nafion™ XL and non-reinforced Nafion™ NR211 membranes are significantly degraded by the conjoint mechanical and chemical stress exposure. The fluoride emission rate (FER) was generally slightly lower with XL than with NR211, which could be attributed to the degradation mitigation strategies developed for composite XL, except when the pressure level or the aging duration were increased, suggesting a limitation of the improved durability of XL.

Resumen
Introduction: Cerebral palsy (CP) describes a group of permanent disorders of movement and posture, causing activity limitation, attributed to a non-progressive disorder that occurs in the developing brain. The family of a child with CP becomes essential and will be much in demand, both to drive the child’s development in a favourable environment and to maintain his health. A well-functioning family and a variety of environmental stimuli can be decisive in supporting children with CP.Objective: To analyse family dynamics and the availability of child development-promoting resources in the family environment of children with CP.Methods: We recruited a sample of 25 mothers of children with PC in the Hospital das Clínicas of Ribeirão Preto. Mothers completed the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale (FACES IV), the Inventory of the Family Environment Resources (FER) and a sociodemographic questionnaire. Results: The average age of mothers was 32.3 (±7.6) years; 68 per cent had completed at least primary education and 80 per cent were living with a partner. The average age of the children was 48.0 (±15.5) months; 56 per cent were girls and 68 per cent attended day care or preschool. Moderate correlations were observed between environmental resources and family functioning (0.39<r<0.70), and the FACES IV indicative scales of good family functioning showed positive correlations with the overall score of FER.Conclusion: Children with PC have few opportunities to participate in activities outside the home, but have received a good supply of resources in their homes. Well-functioning family dynamics showed an association with a greater supply of resources in the domestic environment.

Resumen
This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of physical feed restriction method with different intensity and duration on broiler performance. One hundred and fifty Ross-breed 308 male broiler chicks in a completely randomized design were divided into five experimental treatments. The treatments included physical limitations by 25% or 50% of recommended amount on feed of broilers in two periods of 7 or 14 days. One control group was used fed ad libitum. Each limitation’s severity level was applied in τηρεε replications of 10 birds. All experimental treatments before and after the limitation period until slaughter (day 42) were fed ad libitum. The results showed that in total period broilers under the physical limitation of feed had significantly lower feed intake than controls (P < 0.05). In this research, methods and levels of physical restriction intensity and duration of feed had no significant effect on body weight for the whole experimental period. Methods and levels of food restriction severity and duration had significant effect on feed efficiency (P < 0.05).

Resumen
The present study determined the extent to which teachers’ fear of litigation limits their disciplinary actions, including any significant differences by period, demographic factors, and item type. Teachers’ perceptions of limitations placed on their disciplinary actions do not substantiate the “paralyzing fear” of litigation that inhibits student discipline, as tort reform organizations claim. Teachers perceive greater limitation for nonintervention in a student fight than for intervention, with significant differences for self and others performing the action. Demographic differences support interpreting findings within context to prevent overgeneralization. Future research should examine other job-embedded scenarios to determine appropriate discipline policies and effective professional development strategies.

Resumen
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of fall experience, fear of fall, and activity limitations due to fear of fall on frailty in older people. This study used national data from the 8th Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging, and frailty index was assessed by 7 divisions and 41 items: self-health assessment, physical condition, mental condition, cognitive ability, activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, and chronic diseases. Stepwise regression analysis was used to identify factors influencing the participants' frailty. The average age of the participants was 76.0 ± 7.4 years. When other factors were adjusted in the final model, age(β= 0.52, p<.001), education level(β= -2.29, p<.001), presence of spouse(β= -0.75, p<.001), social network(β= -1.04, p<.001) was an influential factor in frailty. Compared to individuals without a history of falls, those with a history of falls had a higher frailty(β= 1.47, p< .001). Additionally, individuals with a little fear of fall(β= 2.87, p< .001) or a high level of fear of fall(β= 8.85, p< .001) had higher frailty compared to those with no fear of fall. Furthermore, older people with activity limitation due to fear of fall had higher frailty index scores compared to those without activity limitation(β= 5.14, p< .001). Based on the results of this study, it will be possible to prevent and improve frailty through interventions to prevent falling accidents, reduce fear of fall, and relieve activity limitation due to fear of fall.

Resumen
Ecological stoichiometry postulates that differential nutrient recycling of elements such as nitrogen and phosphorus by consumers can shift the element that limits plant growth. However, this hypothesis has so far considered the effect of consumers, mostly herbivores, out of their food-web context. Microbial decomposers are important components of food webs, and might prove as important as consumers in changing the availability of elements for plants. In this theoretical study, we investigate how decomposers determine the nutrient that limits plants, both by feeding on nutrients and organic carbon released by plants and consumers, and by being fed upon by omnivorous consumers. We show that decomposers can greatly alter the relative availability of nutrients for plants. The type of limiting nutrient promoted by decomposers depends on their own elemental composition and, when applicable, on their ingestion by consumers. Our results highlight the limitations of previous stoichiometric theories of plant nutrient limitation control, which often ignored trophic levels other than plants and herbivores. They also suggest that detrital chains play an important role in determining plant nutrient limitation in many ecosystems.

Resumen
This article comparatively analyses limitations regarding the submission of passenger claims in Thailand and the EU. Thailand transposed EU Regulation 261/2004 on denied boarding, delay and cancellation of flights into its national law. Since EU Regulation 261/2004 does not contain any provision referring to a statute of limitations for legal actions, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) found that the limitation period was governed, and continues to be governed, by the domestic law of each Member State, as opposed to the Montreal Convention of 1999 which prescribes a single standard for limitation period. Despite importing this piece of secondary EU legislation, the Thai judicial branch has, so far, not followed the said CJEU judgment. The Thai court selected the two-year limitation period under its domestic law which implemented the Montreal Convention of 1999. Since this lack of harmonization does not benefit the orderly development of international civil aviation, this author suggests that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) should take action. Resumen
Mid-high-frequency ultrasound (200–1000 kHz) eliminates organic pollutants and also generates H2O2. To take advantage of H2O2, iron species can be added, generating a hybrid sono-Fenton process (sF). This paper presents the possibilities and limitations of sF. Heterogeneous (a natural mineral) and homogeneous (Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions) iron sources were considered. Acetaminophen, ciprofloxacin, and methyl orange were the target organic pollutants. Ultrasound alone induced the pollutants degradation, and the dual competing role of the natural mineral (0.02–0.20 g L−1) meant that it had no significant effects on the elimination of pollutants. In contrast, both Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions enhanced the pollutants’ degradation, and the elimination using Fe2+ was better because of its higher reactivity toward H2O2. However, the enhancement decreased at high Fe2+ concentrations (e.g., 5 mg L−1) because of scavenger effects. The Fe2+ addition significantly accelerated the elimination of acetaminophen and methyl orange. For ciprofloxacin, at short treatment times, the degradation was enhanced, but the pollutant complexation with Fe3+ that came from the Fenton reaction caused degradation to stop. Additionally, sF did not decrease the antimicrobial activity associated with ciprofloxacin, whereas ultrasound alone did. Therefore, the chemical structure of the pollutant plays a crucial role in the feasibility of the sF process.

Resumen
Monitoring soil moisture content is an appropriate method to optimize agricultural irrigation. The use of capacitance sensors has increased over the last years because they have a convenient cost-benefit ratio when compared to neutron moisture gages or time domain reflectometers, which are the most accurate methods to estimate soil moisture content. This project is about the field calibration of a capacitance sensor in clay soils. Two calibration models were applied: a linear model and a quadratic one, which correlate the gravimetric content measured in field soil moisture samples with the excitation received by the sensor (mV) and with the measured dielectric permittivity (?b). The calibration equations were subsequently validated at two different depths at four field sampling sites. Despite the clay soil texture, high organic matter content and compaction of the soils, the equations correctly estimated soil moisture content with an estimation error of ± 0.02 m3m-3, a considerable improvement over the manufacturer's calibration equation, which has an average estimation error of ±0.12 m3m-3. A better understanding of sensor performance in the field should result in more precise water applications. A recommendation is made to perform tests in saline and different textured soils to ascertain the stability and sensitivity of these calibration equations.

Resumen
Extreme heat periods due to the changing climate are having a negative impact on many areas of the economy. In our study, we look at how much US mortgage lending is originated in the areas that are most vulnerable to future heat waves, and what central bank and supervisory authority actions could mitigate the resulting risk. From our results, we see that proportionally more lending flows into the areas that are likely to be most exposed to heat in the future. Population and economic output are relatively higher in these areas, and thus climate risk is less of a factor in lending decisions. However, lenders reject proportionately slightly more mortgage applications in the counties that are expected to be the hottest. Central bank and supervisory authority measures to support climate objectives are therefore of key importance. These could include, for example, central bank asset purchase programmes to support sustainable construction, especially in areas vulnerable to climate change, or the development of collateral management along similar lines. Coordination between the different authorities is also important because of the limitations of central bank actions.

Resumen
The purpose of this study is to understand the changes in the daily life and quality of life of the elderly due to the spread of COVID-19. This study attempted to supplement the limitations of quantitative analysis by performing both quantitative and qualitative analysis. A large-scale representative data, the Elderly Survey 2017 and 2020, were analyzed, and in-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 16 elderly people in Gwangju and Seoul. As a result, it was found that the overall quality of life was positively changed compared to before Corona. The frequency of contact and visits with family members decreased whereas the time spent watching TV increased. The elderly's adaptation to daily life has a series of processes since the first outbreak of COVID-19. At the beginning of the outbreak, there were fear, anxiety, and depression due to isolation, but gradually made efforts to adapt to the new situation. They reported that they realized the importance of human relationships, especially spouses, in a crisis situation and that there were some positive aspects as well. Finally, in all these results a difference was found between single-person households and multi-person households. Through the above research results, academic and policy measures were discussed.

Resumen
This study investigates the effect of in-law relationship on the marital adjustment of married couples by considering family-oriented Korean culture. Previous in-law studies did not consider the influence of another party who did not attend the survey due to sampling limitations. However, the marital adjustment of married couple and the satisfaction of the relationship with parents-in-law are two-way relationships that affect each other and are not one-sided relationships. By considering the non-independence of the couple’s data, Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) was utilized to examine the structural relationship between marital adjustment (marital satisfaction and marital stability) and in-law relationship quality (relationship satisfaction between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law for wives, relationship satisfaction between mother-in-law and son-in-law for husbands) of 203 married couples. Results indicated that a high satisfaction of wives’ in-law relationship increased personal marital adjustment as well as husbands’ marital adjustment. The husbands’ positive relationship with in-laws also increased personal marital adjustment and their wives’ marital adjustment. The results of this study can be used as basic data for program development and counseling for healthy in-law relationship as well as educational data for couples intending to marry.

Resumen
PurposeThis paper aims to investigate the performance of two novel direct torque control (DTC) schemes dedicated to three-switch three-phase inverter (B3-VSI), also called delta inverter, fed induction motor (IM) drives.Design/methodology/approachThe principle of operation of the B3-VSI-fed IM drive is recalled in a first step. Then, the basis of both proposed DTC strategies is presented. The first DTC scheme considers a subdivision of the stationary plane into three sectors and the application of the intrinsic as well as virtual voltage vectors to achieve the control combinations. While, the second DTC scheme considers a subdivision of the stationary plane into six sectors and a limitation of the voltage vectors incorporated in the look-up table to the three intrinsic ones.FindingsSimulation and experimental results have revealed that, under steady-state operation and transient conditions, the harmonic content of the IM stator phase currents is lower in the case of the DTC2 strategy, resulting in a lower ripple of electromagnetic torque. Furthermore, it has led to a quasi-circular shape of the locus described by the stator flux vector in the stationary plane.Research limitations/implicationsThis work should be extended to the synthesis and performance analysis of a new DTC strategy for B3-VSI-fed IM drive, which emulates the operation of the conventional six-switch three-phase inverter-fed IM drive.Originality/valueThe limitation associated with the reduced number of the intrinsic voltage vectors generated by the B3-VSI has been eradicated, thanks to the suitable synthesis of the look-up table incorporated in the DTC scheme.

Resumen
Various methods have been proposed to condition an electron beam in order to reduce its emittance effect and to improve the short-wavelength free electron laser (FEL) performance. In this paper, we show that beam conditioning does not result in a complete elimination of the emittance effect in an alternating-gradient focusing FEL undulator. Using a one-dimensional model and a three-dimensional simulation code, we derive a criteria for the emittance limitation of a perfectly conditioned beam that depends on the focusing structure.

Resumen
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to assess the Boussinesq approach for a wide range of Ra (10 × 6 to 10 × 11) in two-dimensional (square cavity) and three-dimensional (cubic cavity) problems for air- and liquid-filled domains. Design/methodology/approach The thermal behavior in “differentially heated cavities” filled with air (low and medium Rayleigh) and water (high Rayleigh) is solved using computational fluid dynamics (CFDs) (OpenFOAM) with a non-compressible (Boussinesq) and compressible approach (real water properties from the IAPWS database). Findings The results from the wide range of Rayleigh numbers allowed for the establishment of the limitation of the Boussinesq approach in problems where the fluid has significant density changes within the operation temperature range and especially when the dependence of density with temperature is not linear. For these cases, the symmetry behavior predicted by Boussinesq is far from the compressible results, thus inducing a transient heat imbalance and leading to a higher mean temperature. Research limitations/implications The main limitation of the present research can be found in the shortage of experimental data for very high Rayleigh problems. Practical implications Practical implications of the current research could be use of the Boussinesq approach by carefully observing its limitations, especially for sensible problems such as the study of pressure vessels, nuclear reactors, etc. Originality/value The originality of this paper lies in addressing the limitations of the Boussinesq approach for high Rayleigh water systems. This fluid is commonly used in numerous industrial equipment. This work presents valuable conclusions about the limitations of the currently used models to carry out industrial simulations.

Resumen
AbstractEpilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders with almost one-third of these patients becoming intractable to medical treatments. For some of these patients, epilepsy surgery could be the best option. There are lot of disparities in caring of the epilepsy patients. There are multiple limitations in offering epilepsy surgery for the medically intractable epilepsy patients, resulting in almost 19 years gap from the diagnosis of intractable epilepsy to epilepsy surgery. These limitations range from patient or parental fear to lack of available resources. Sometimes we face an ethical issue being the limitation from doing the right thing for the patient. We want to share our experience with one of our patients with symptomatic medically intractable focal epilepsy from Rasmussen’s encephalitis who could not get the epilepsy surgery treatment because of an ethical issue.

Resumen
In this study, an electrochemical-assisted ferric ion/persulfate (EC/Fe3+/PS) process was proposed to degrade bezafibrate (BZF), a widespread hypolipidemic drug, in water. By promoting the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+ at the cathode, the introduction of an electric field successfully overcomes the limitation of non-regenerable Fe2+ inherent in Fe2+/PS systems, significantly improving the degradation efficiency of BZF. The predominant reactive species identified were •OH and SO4●−, with 1O2 also playing a role. Various key operational parameters were investigated and optimized, including the current intensity, Fe3+ dosage, PS concentration, and initial pH. With a current intensity of 50 mA, an Fe3+ concentration of 50 μΜ, a PS dosage of 50 μM, and an initial pH of 3, the degradation efficiency of BZF demonstrated an exceptional achievement, reaching up to 98.8% within 30 min. The influence of anions and humic acid was also assessed. An LC/TOF/MS analysis revealed four major degradation pathways of BZF: hydroxylation, amino bond cleavage, dechlorination, and fibrate chain removal. The acute and chronic toxicities of BZF and its degradation intermediates were then assessed using the ECOSAR program. These findings highlight the wide-ranging applications of the EC/Fe3+/PS system and its potential for remediating water contaminated with micropollutants.

Resumen
Food limitation and exploitative competition were implicated in two experiments on lotic grazers in eastern Tennessee. In a laboratory feeding experiment, grazing snails (Elimia clavaeformis) and caddisfly larvae (Neophylax etnieri) from upper White Oak Creek (WOC) grew 7 and 2 times faster, respectively, on a diet of high-biomass periphyton than they did on a diet of WOC periphyton. When fed on the high-biomass periphyton, both grazers accumulated disproportionately more neutral lipid, and snails increased their mean condition index 50% (ash-free dry mass per unit wet mass). Growth and condition of grazers fed WOC periphyton in the laboratory were quite similar to growth and condition in situ, indicating that laboratory conditions were realistic. Analysis of gut contents demonstrated considerable dietary overlap between the two taxa regardless of periphyton diet and suggested that quantity rather than quality of periphyton limited grazer growth and condition in WOC. In a natural experiment, periphyton and Neophylax from six streams containing Elimia were compared with periphyton and Neophylax from six streams that lacked Elimia. Periphyton biomass, Neophylax diapause mass, and Neophylax lipid content were substantially greater in streams lacking Elimia, implying that the snail created or exacerbated food-limiting conditions for Neophylax.

Resumen
Purpose: This study aims to see the relationship between fear of missing out and social media addiction among students of the Faculty of Psychology, Padjadjaran University who use Instagram. Methodology/approach: Researchers used the fear of missing out scale (FoMOS) and the Bergen social media addiction scale (BSMAs) to measure the two variables. This research is a quantitative study using a non-experimental correlational study design. The sample collected was 94 people using stratified sampling technique which was divided into four strata (batch 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). The Spearman test was conducted to see the correlation between the two variables. Results/findings: The results obtained show a significant correlation between the two variables with a positive relationship. This shows that the higher the level of anxiety (FoMO) of an individual, the higher the tendency for the individual to show addictive behavior towards social media (SMA), Instagram. Limitations: The limitation of this research lies in the number of participants, as the researchers were unable to study a broader population. Contribution: This research contributes to our understanding of the relationship between fear of missing out and social media addiction and provides valuable insights for promoting responsible social media usage.

Resumen
This paper proposes facial expression recognition (FER) with the wild data set. In particular, this paper chiefly deals with two issues, occlusion and intra-similarity problems. The attention mechanism enables one to use the most relevant areas of facial images for specific expressions, and the triplet loss function solves the intra-similarity problem that sometimes fails to aggregate the same expression from different faces and vice versa. The proposed approach for the FER is robust to occlusion, and it uses a spatial transformer network (STN) with an attention mechanism to utilize specific facial region that dominantly contributes (or that is the most relevant) to particular facial expressions, e.g., anger, contempt, disgust, fear, joy, sadness, and surprise. In addition, the STN model is connected to the triplet loss function to improve the recognition rate which outperforms the existing approaches that employ cross-entropy or other approaches using only deep neural networks or classical methods. The triplet loss module alleviates limitations of the intra-similarity problem, leading to further improvement of the classification. Experimental results are provided to substantiate the proposed approach for FER, and the result outperforms the recognition rate in more practical cases, e.g., occlusion. The quantitative result provides FER results with more than 2.09% higher accuracy compared to the existing FER results in CK+ data sets and 0.48% higher than the accuracy of the results with the modified ResNet model in the FER2013 data set.

Resumen
Innovative and more sustainable methods of supplying energy needs in the world have led to a change in the dependency model for fossil fuels, including more integrated planning and adoption of new and motivating models regarding the use of renewable energy. Today, with the reduction of fossil fuel consumption in the world, the use of renewable energy has gained an important role in the global energy mix, but according to studies, the share of renewable energy in Iran’s energy mix is very small. Therefore, the present paper attempts to present all potentialities for obtaining clean energy in Iran by assessing the current state of renewable energies. The fact that, in the present time, the real value of energy carriers is not appreciated properly in Iran, on the one hand, and the lack of willingness to invest in these energies in the private sector, which may have been less protected, on the other hand, has caused the consumption level of fossil fuels to remain unchanged, which may have some disadvantages, such as environmental damage, in addition to their utilization. The authors of the paper are of the opinion that, on the one hand, by finding solutions for bank investment problems, easing restrictive laws, providing bank with guarantees by investors, as well as modifying parts of the guaranteed electricity purchase contract for accepting foreign banks to provide loans and obtain financing, and on the other hand, by facilitating the process of obtaining land permits and connecting to these power plants, Iran is not far from reaching a reasonable rank in the world.©2020. Resumen
Abstract. Absent glacial erosion, mountain range height is limited by the rate of bedrock river incision and is thought to asymptote to a steady-state elevation as erosion and rock uplift rates converge. For glaciated mountains, there is evidence that range height is limited by glacial erosion rates, which vary cyclically with glaciations. The strongest evidence for glacial limitation is at midlatitudes, where range-scale hypsometric maxima (modal elevations) lie within the bounds of Late Pleistocene snow line variation. In the tropics, where mountain glaciation is sparse, range elevation is generally considered to be fluvially limited and glacial limitation is discounted. Here we present topographic evidence to the contrary. By applying both old and new methods of hypsometric analysis to high mountains in the tropics, we show that (a) the majority are subject to glacial erosion linked to a perched base level set by the snow line or equilibrium line altitude (ELA) and (b) many truncate through glacial erosion towards the cold-phase ELA. Evaluation of the hypsometric analyses at two field sites where glacial limitation is seemingly marginal reveals how glaciofluvial processes act in tandem to accelerate erosion near the cold-phase ELA during warm phases and to reduce their preservation potential. We conclude that glacial erosion truncates high tropical mountains on a cyclic basis: zones of glacial erosion expand during cold periods and contract during warm periods as fluvially driven escarpments encroach and destroy evidence of glacial action. The inherent disequilibrium of this glaciofluvial limitation complicates the concept of time-averaged erosional steady state, making it meaningful only on long timescales far exceeding the interval between major glaciations.

Resumen
In mammals, the plasma concentration of amino acids is affected by nutritional or pathological conditions. For example, an alteration in the amino acid profile has been reported when there is a deficiency of any one or more of the essential amino acids, a dietary imbalance of amino acids, or an insufficient intake of protein. We examined the role of amino acid limitation in regulating mammalian gene expression. Depletion of arginine, cystine and all essential amino acids leads to induction of insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-1 (IGFBP-1) mRNA and protein expression in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, exposure of HepG2 cells to amino acids at a concentration reproducing the amino acid concentration found in portal blood of rats fed on a low-protein diet leads to a significantly higher (P < 0·0002) expression of IGFBP-1. Using CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein homologous protein (CHOP) induction by leucine deprivation as a model, we have characterized the molecular mechanisms involved in the regulation of gene expression by amino acids. We have shown that leucine limitation leads to induction of CHOP mRNA and protein. Elevated mRNA levels result from both an increase in the rate of CHOP transcription and an increase in mRNA stability. We have characterized two elements of the CHOP gene that are essential to the transcriptional activation produced by an amino acid limitation. These findings demonstrate that an amino acid limitation, as occurs during dietary protein deficiency, can induce gene expression. Thus, amino acids by themselves can play, in concert with hormones, an important role in the control of gene expression.
