Texto completoIn Italy the crime novel, that can be also defined “detective story”, “thriller”, or more recently “noir”, between the last twenty years of Twentieth century and the first decade of Two Thousand, shows an interesting evolution, that can handle with some recent historical events, or can be linked with the end of Millennium fears. On the one hand, we can see the rise of “metropolitan crime novel”, in which many writers set their novels always in the same city, their native one or the city in which they live; Milan is the most important in this list and wins the prize of “crime city” in Italy. On the other hand, many novelists establish a strong relationship with their own region, creating a new “crime” regionalism. The most interesting trend is that science fiction and supernatural events enter the crime novel, with policemen that can hear the thoughts of the victims, or have mystic visions, and killers that are guided by a whispering devil. All these aspects appear also in the historical crime novel, that shows how history is often a sort of pretext to stage some problems of the current society.

Texto completoBy the reading and analysis of the remaining fragments of the Ninus Romance it can be seen that the dynamics of the characters, even if broadly related to the structure of the Greek novel of the Imperial Age, do not correspond to a Greek culture matrix, therefore the origin of the text was elsewhere, more precisely in the environment that immediately emerges from the fragments, namely the Mesopotamian one. Many elements of the plot of this 'novel', which contain in them germs and ways that will be taken up again in the Imperial Era, are strongly influenced, in fact, by patterns and plots of the ancient Near East. All these elements appear congruent to a syncretic culture like the Hellenistic one, the age in which the work was probably born. The research then took place in the direction of an analysis of elements, structures and details of the world of Near-Eastern mythological narrative that could have influenced the plot of Nino's novel. In particular, the attention has turned to stories and myths of Sumerian and Assyrian-Babylonian culture and the possibilities of comparison were remarkable. Enlil and Ninlil and Enlil and Sud, datable to the end of the III and the beginning of II millennium BC, are the Sumerian myths in which the almost precise correspondences have been found. The quantity and the quality of the similarities between these myths and our text pushes more to consider the work, object of research, an erudite revisitation of myths of the Ancient Near East. The analysis has turned to look for connections between the environment created around the Hellenistic kings of the dynasty of Seleucids, which at the time were the rulers of that geographical area, and the ancient myths that constituted the local cultural substratum. Even here the connections were strong.
CAVALLERI, ALBERTO. "Il teatro di Rabelais : la poetica del genere totale nel "Gargantua et Pantagruel"". Doctoral thesis, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, 2012. http://hdl.handle.net/10280/1290.
Texto completoThe dissertation focuses on the connection between François Rabelais’s Gargantua et Pantagruel and the theatre. Rabelais’s writing possesses generic characteristics, typical of the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance periods; it also presents generic forms derived from Greek and Latin literature, and is endowed with the vitality of French medieval theatre. The mingling of these materials results in a coherent poetics expressed through pervasive theatrical elements, and aimed at amplifying the reader’s worldview. Previous scholarly perspectives are here “overturned”, for analysis is built on fundamentally theatrical categories: time, space, audience, text and actor. Theatricality proves to inform the very structure of Rabelais’s work and manifests itself in the alternation of diegesis and mimesis; in the ongoing dialogue between narrator and readers/listeners; in the co-presence of audience and characters/players; in the indications of performative spaces; in the emphasis on gesture and voice; in the theatrical musicality of language; in the specialist vocabulary of the mise-en-scène and the themes of disguise, théâtre du monde and théâtre anatomique.

Di, Daniel Caterina. "Parola di donna: giuramenti femminili nella letteratura greca e latina". Doctoral thesis, Università degli studi di Padova, 2019. http://hdl.handle.net/11577/3421860.
Texto completoOur dissertation discusses the literary representation of female characters involved in the oath scenes of classic literature. In the first section of this work oath is analyzed from a linguistic, historical, juridical and anthropological point of view, providing references to many historical and literary sources. The second section consists of a selection of greek and latin texts of the archaic, classic and hellenistic period: our comment focuses on the oath formula, gestures and on the role of female characters, underlining the complex relation created by the interaction of female representation and oath as a speech act and an authoritative utterance. Each text is both exemplary for a specific phenomenology and it is indicative of peculiar literary themes, which are discussed. This tension between gender performance and performative language sometimes reveals a criticism concerned with social conventions and traditional values. Furthermore, it is also possible to identify some topic elements in different literary genres and to define some fixed and recurrent schemes.

Texto completoAutobiography is difficult to define as a literary genre and is almost at the boundaries of literature. It is marked by an inextricable mixture of textuality, referentiality and construction. The autodegetical narrative aims at giving an order to a life story, thus attributing a meaning to memories in the same time as it defines their order and composition. We intend to trace back the origin of the autobiographical genre and underline the continuity of tradition in some representative examples of literary autobiographical narrative of the twentieth century.

Texto completoSeveral studies from around the world have focused on integrated care models as key solutions to build more effective and efficient healthcare systems that can better meet the needs of patients and the populations served. Often, the coordination is mostly clinical, and consists of the promotion of workgroup activities centered on specific oncological pathologies and in the adoption of common guidelines. However, the process needs to be developed and assessed also with respect to the patient perspective and patient experience. The purposes of this research are to explore the relationship between the integration of cancer services and the patient experience; to describe the representation of “patient engagement” and to examine what kind of application exists in the cancer services; finally to examine if patient experience can be measured. The research’s method consisted of a literature review and analysis, and also it consisted of a case study in the Area Vasta Romagna Cancer Network, via the use of a survey distributed to 310 patients with breast or colo-rectal cancer. From the findings, it appears a positive relationship between integration and patient experience. Also,we identified four main themes of patient experience related to integration: “individual care provider”, “team/system care providers”, “mixed approach”, “continuity and quality of care”. Furthermore, it was possible to describe a consistent representation of patient engagement models and to identify four main fields of application: “screening”, “treatment”, “care”, “research”. Finally, the continuity of care framework results an appropriate measure to analyse the integrated cancer care from patient perspective and to evaluate the patient experience over the entire cancer pathway.

Texto completoThe sixth and fifth century’s b. C. was a fundamental turning point for the Greek culture as it brought about crucial cultural changes: the various literary genres began to clearly define their boundaries, trying to emerge from a fluid and magmatic context. Bacchylides’ lyric poetry shows evident contact points with other literary genres both in content and structure. It is characterized by a strong tendency to 'eclecticism', a style that makes it atypical compared to pindaric poetry. The emphasis of this work will be on the poet’s reception in the Alexandrian age, with particular attention to the aesthetic and cultural dynamics that favored its entry into the canon of lyric poets, and on its interactions with the contemporary literary genres. The work is divided into four chapters. Chapter I deals with the reception of bacchylidean poetry by the erudites of the hellenistic age. Particular attention is put on the fortune of the Ceo poet in the Greek world in regard to the analysis of the lyrical canon. Chapter II is dedicated to the complexed and versatile relationship between Bacchylides poetry and the epic genre, which at the time had great prestige and resonance with the affirmation of the epic-rhapsodies circles. Chapter III, which analyzes the relationship between the bacchylidean lyric and the emerging literary genres, is divided into two sections, focusing respectively on the contact points with the fable and mythological genre. Finally, chapter IV proposes to treat the relationship between Bacchylides’s poetry and the tragic genre from a different perspective. The purpose of this work is to approach bacchylidean poetry in a selective way, starting from the best preserved poems, to provide an overview of the bacchylidean operas in the panorama of the literary genre of the time.

Texto completoSuch a long time has passed since the end of the Shoah and it has become clear that there are a lot of works written in those years which now form the corpus of literature based on the experiences in concentration camps. The authors of these works are not very well-known and they are usually considered minor but their works have often reached highly intellectual, moral and stylistic results. The narration of their traumatic memories is the result of precise decisions, i.e. what to tell, in what chronological order, but especially in what forms. The texts based on the experiences in concentration camps can in fact be studied from different points of view. The most unusual is their study through genres: short story, autobiography, essay, novel, journal, letter, poetry. The distinction between one genre and another is not often clear-cut. What is interesting to underline is that in front of a tragedy, as the Holocaust was, it is possible to choose to tell one's own experience by paying special attention to the way of expressing it. This is evidence that in front of evil man does not ever lose the desire to look for truth and beauty.
