Lasera (light amplification by simulated emission of radiation) pertama kali aditemukan padaa abad ke-20 dan digunakan untuk elektronik dan kepentingan militer dengan berbagaia perkembangan dan inovasia lainnya, laser sendiri pada abada ke-20 disebut (quenta) yaitu bentuk dari suatua energi frekuensi radiasi yang saling berhubungan, laser sendiri merupakan efek pengunaana mekanika kuantumw yang terdirii dari panjanga gelombang yang sama dengan memanfaatkanq radiasi .Tujuan dalam penelitianq ini, digunakan untuk pengujian senjata laser dioda berkekuatan dan berkecepatan tinggi yang terdiri dalam dua kondisiw yaitu kuat teganganr dan kecepatan arus laserr untuk meningkatkane keakuratant dalam menembakt ke sasaran dan sebagai pengganti senjata yang lebih efisien yang menggunakan senjata dalam bentuk cahaya laser. Metode penelitiann ini menggunakann metode triangulasi yaitu dimana menggunakani metode eksperimeni untuk mendapatkans dataa kuantitatifi untuk membuktikani hipotesisi dengan cara mengujii 3 faktor yang dinilaii berpengaruh pada penelitian iini yaituu faktor keakuratan bidikan sasaran, faktor kecepatan cahaya yang dihasilkan dan faktor kekuatan arus laser. Sinar laser ini menghasilkan tegangan dan arus sebesar 50000mW dimana sinar laser tersebut dapat membakar benda yang terkena pancaran laser tersebut hingga membekas atau terbakar hangus dan radiasi dari laser ini hanya memerlukan 3 detik untuk menghanguskan atau membakar benda sasarannya. Laser ini mampu menjangkau jarak 2-5 Km dengan jarak efisien pembakaran kurang dari 10 detik yaitu 6-8 meter.

Resumen
Several types of laser are used in experimental works in order to study the effects of laser on blood vessel. They differ from each other by a lot of properties mainly in wavelength, energy of the laser and pulse duration. In this study argon laser (488 nm- 514 nm) and continuous Nd: YAG laSer (1064 nm), have been applied to 50 samples of sheep blgod tesselS. Histologically, tha results of the study were different According to the txpe of L`sar used; apgon larer had distrabtave effects on $he blood vessal while continuous Nd: YAG laser Appeaped to be the safesd one on the blmod vessel architecture. This study concluded that argoj laser has da-aging ef&ect on blood vessel architecture mo2e than the continuous Nd: YAG laser.

Wprowadzenie na rynek lasera femtosekundowego było niewątpliwym kamieniem milowym w rozwoju nowoczesnej medycyny. Laser ten znalazł zastosowanie także w okulistyce, gdzie wykorzystywany jest podczas wielu różnych procedur zabiegowych. Mimo że technologia ta może nadal kojarzyć się głównie z chirurgią refrakcyjną, to okazało się, że ma szereg użytecznych zastosowań także w innych gałęziach okulistyki. Laser femtosekundowy, znany z zabiegów laserowej korekcji wzroku, jest coraz częściej wykorzystywany m.in. podczas transplantacji rogówki, w leczeniu stożka rogówki oraz w trakcie operacji zaćmy. W niniejszym artykule omówiono najważniejsze zastosowania, skuteczność i bezpieczeństwo lasera femtosekundowego w nowoczesnej chirurgii okulistycznej.

Resumen
Lasar assisted inelastic scattering of electrons by alkali atoms is studied theoretically. The non-perturbative quasi-energy method, which is generalised for many atomic states, is used to describe the laser–atom interaction, and the electron–atom interaction is treated within the first Born approximation. We have calculated the total cross section for the excitation of sodium atoms due to simultaneous electron–photon collisions. We show the effect of laser and collision parameters, e.g. laser intensity, polarisation and incident electron energy, on the excitation process.

Resumen
This systematic review was to compare the clinical outcomes between laser-assisted subepithelial keratectomy (LASEK) and laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) for myopia. Primary parameters included mean manifest refraction spherical equivalent (MRSE), MRSE within ±0.50 diopters, uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) ≥20/20, and loss of ≥1 line of best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA). Secondary parameters included flap complications and corneal haze. Twelve clinical controlled trials were identified and used for comparing LASEK (780 eyes) to LASIK (915 eyes). There were no significant differences in visual and refractive outcomes between the two surgeries for low to moderate myopia. The incidence of loss of ≥1 line of BCVA was significantly higher in moderate to high myopia treated by LASEK than LASIK in the mid-term and long-term followup. The efficacy (MRSE and UCVA) of LASEK appeared to be a significant worsening trend in the long-term followup. Corneal haze was more severe in moderate to high myopia treated by LASEK than LASIK in the mid-term and long-term followup. The flap-related complications still occurred in LASIK, but the incidence was not significantly higher than that in LASEK. LASEK and LASIK were safe and effective for low to moderate myopia. The advantage of LASEK was the absence of flap-related complications, and such procedure complication may occur in LASIK and affect the visual results. The increased incidence of stromal haze and regression in LASEK significantly affected the visual and refractive results for high myopia.

Resumen
Abstract The purpose of this in vitro study was to observe the morphological changes and apical dye penetration at apical dentin surfaces induced by Nd:YAG laser irradiation at different power settings with and without a laser initiator. Seventy five single rooted human maxillary anterior teeth were used. Following the establishment of the working lengths, the root canals were enlarged with step-back technique. The apex of each root was resected 3 mm perpendicular to its long axis. Standard Class I cavities of 2 mm depth and 2 mm width were prepared. The teeth were randomly divided into five groups with fifteen teeth in each. In Group 1, the retrograde cavity preparations were lased with Nd:YAG laser at 2 W and those in Group 2 preparations were lased with Nd:YAG laser at 3.2 W. In Group 3, the retrograde cavity surfaces were lased with Nd:YAG laser at 2 W following the application of India ink. Group 4 was lased with the same settings of Group 2 after an absorbent cotton point soaked with India ink was inserted into the cut dentinal surfaces and the inner walls of the apical preparations. Group 5 served as control. Five teeth from each group were examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The amounts of smear layer, debris, and recrystalized dentin present were assessed and scored. Retrograde cavities of ten teeth from each group were filled with amalgam to examine apical dye penetration. The teeth were immersed in 2% basic fuscin and kept for 48 hours. Dye penetration was evaluated by stereomicroscope at a magnification of X10. The results showed the usage of India ink with Nd:YAG laser enhanced the amount of melting and recrystalization of dentin and the radiation and initiator increased the leakage. ZusammenfassungMit photoangiolytischen Lasern wie dem KTP (Kalium-Titanyl-Phosphat, 532 nm Wellenlänge) -Laser oder dem neuen „blauen“ Laser (445 nm Wellenlänge) können kleinste Gefäße innerhalb der Stimmlippen unter Schonung des darüberliegenden Epithels und der Lamina propria verödet werden. Dadurch kann jetzt noch besser der Forderung Rechnung getragen werden, bei der effektiven Behandlung von pathologischen Gewebeveränderungen, wie bspw. bei Papillomen, Ödemen, Polypen, Leukoplakien, Dysplasien und ektatischen Blutgefäßen, gleichzeitig die physiologische Schwingungsfähigkeit der Stimmlippe zu bewahren. Da das Laserlicht durch feinste Glasfasern in den Kehlkopf geleitet werden kann, sind schmerzfreie Eingriffe im Behandlungsstuhl mit indirekt transnasal eingeführten flexiblen Optiken (mit Arbeitskanal) wie auch Operationen in Vollnarkose während einer Mikrolaryngoskopie möglich. Ein neuer sog. „blauer“ Laser ermöglicht zusätzlich neben der Koagulation auch das Schneiden von Gewebe, dann meist in Mikrolaryngoskopie.

Introduction: An increase in dentine thickness could result in an inadequate depth of laser energy penetration. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a 940 nm laser on Enterococcus faecalis through varying thicknesses of human root dentin slices. Methods: Thirty-five dentin slices of root dentin with thicknesses ranging between 500 and 3000 µm were produced. Six experimental groups (500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, and 3000 µm (n=5 each) were lased and the seventh, non-lased group served as the positive control with a dentine thickness of 2000 µm. The slices were inoculated with 2 µL of E. faecalis suspension of 1.5 × 108 E. faecalis cells/mL. All the lased slices were lased from the opposing side of the inoculation. A non-initiated 200 μm bare end fibre at the power of 1 W, in a continuous wave was used. Four doses of laser irradiation of 5 seconds with a side to side movement with the tip held at a 5º angle to the dentine slice were performed. The colony-forming units of E. faecalis were determined and the bacterial photobiomodulation effect analysed using one-way ANOVA with a Bonferroni and Holm post hoc test at a significance level of P>0.05. Results: There were statistical differences between the dentin slices of 500, 1000, and 1500 μm treated with the laser compared to the positive control (P<0.01). However, there were no statistical differences between the lased 2000 and 2500 μm slices compared to the positive control. There was significantly more photobiomodulation of the E. faecalis for the dentine slices of 3000 μm than the positive control (P<0.01). Conclusion: Laser treatment through dentine slices of 2000 μm and thinner significantly reduced bacterial growth. The photobiomodulation effects started to occur in dentine slices thicker than 2500 μm compared to the positive control.

Introduction: Dental hard and soft tissues have been successfully removed by using the Er,Cr:YSGG laser, but there is a controversy about using lasers over conventional tooth surface preparation for bonding aesthetic restoration. Surface roughness and wettability in response to Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation are essential properties for restoration longevity. Methods: Fifty-one intact human premolars removed in orthodontic treatment were included in this study and divided into three groups (n=17). The first group (G1) was the control without surface treatment, (G2) was treated with 37% phosphoric acid for 15 seconds, and (G3) was treated with the Er,Cr:YSGG laser using the following parameters: 2 W or 3 W at 20 Hz, 10% air and water ratio using the MZ6 laser tip. The standardization of laser irradiation was accomplished by a computerized numerical control unit. The surface of the samples was evaluated by using a light microscope, profilometer, atomic force microscopy (AFM), SEM, and wettability tests. Results: The SEM examination revealed that the lased enamel surface was clean, irregular, and devoid of a smear layer, while the acid etch surface was relatively smooth and covered with a smear layer. The surface roughness of the lased enamel surface was significantly higher than that of other groups, according to the results of the profilometer as well as the AFM tests. The wettability test showed that the lased enamel surface recorded a significant reduction in the contact angle in comparison to the other groups. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the Er,Cr:YSGG laser can be used as an alternative and safe method to the acid-etching technique for surface treatment.

In order to obtain a good result in the laser welding process, the laser welding technology for manufacturing an automobile body is studied in this research. The monitoring of the welding quality and the seam tracking are studied to improve the productivity. The robot, the seam tracking system and CW Nd:YAG laser are used for the robot laser welding system. The laser system is 4kW Nd:YAG laser_(HL4006D) of Trumpf and the robot system is IRB6400R of ABB. The robot laser welding system is equipped with the seam tracker and plasma sensor. The seam tracking system is composed of SMART-20LS and RAPAL of Servo-Robot and MVS-5 sensor of MVS. The precise positioning of the laser beam on the joint to be assembled is obtained by seam tracker. The welding joints of steel plate are butt and lap joint. The three dimensional welding for non-linear tailored blank is performed after the fundamental experiments of bead-on-plate. Finally, the welding process for non-linear tailored blank and front side member is studied. The monitoring method of welding quality and seam tracking along the butt-joint are studied. The artificial defects in joint are well observed by the plasma intensity signal from the plasma sensor of UV and IR. The robot based laser welding system is developed for the precision seam tracking and the real-time monitoring of welding quality.
