Texto completoThis paper discusses how a mobile phone-interface, suited for children in ages five to eight years old, could look like. Different functions of interest that this mobile phone could contain will also be discussed. By test and workshop conduction, for information gathering and inspiration, and the use of known and combined methods, a concept for a digital prototype is created. This paper could also be considered as a feasibility study for further and wider studies in the area of digital products for children in the age of five to eight.

Texto completoThis project was prepared because we identified a serious problem in elementary students. The results of the last Student Census Evaluation (ECE) carried out at the end of 2018 were not encouraging, since half of primary school children did not understand what they were reading. Fabu Kids is a web platform that promotes the reading habit in children and young people through educational, fun and personalized resources to make the reading process a unique experience. In this way, create in them a taste for reading through tests that are not tedious or boring, but offer them a moment of fun that in turn leaves them a lesson. The channel that we will use is an easy to use mobile application, this service will include levels of difficulty according to the age of the children and their reading progress. In addition, as levels are passed, the experience will subtly convert from something closer to a game to a small personal user library, with less and less visual dynamics but a greater quality and depth in the readings that drives a certain Measure the preference of the user of written media over audiovisual media. The main source of income will be the subscription to the Fabu Kids Premium service, which will grant more content to users and vouchers in entertainment centers.

Texto completoNowadays we can see how the technology continues to advance and it seems that the first Smartphone will be created, years later we would know the first digital tablet, and now the Smartwatch, etc. But, just as there are very large advances in technology, it can also be appreciated at the national level that increases citizen insecurity, which attacks any family member, but especially the most defenseless beings such as our children. A means that could provide some peace of mind to parents is a Smartwatch, which in addition to having the conventional properties, allows a telephone communication between parents and children, so that the parents know in real time the location through GPS and can be in contact with them during the day. Undoubtedly this device will be of great help for families, not only will it give peace of mind, it will increase communication among its members, but above all, security for those who use this device. Although now we see that the relatives most exposed to the issue of insecurity are children, they can also be used by the elderly.

There will also be an area of psychology for parents' consultations and evaluation of children. The workshops will be held according to ages. Directed to parents of socioeconomic levels A and B residing in the district of Santiago de Surco. The target market for the first year is 8640 students, equivalent to 1680 annual services, with an annual growth rate of 10%. Among the marketing techniques that will be used, is the marketing mix, highlighting promotional marketing, which will use advertising, internet and merchandising as tools.

Texto completoThis research work was born with the objective of meeting the need of parents in the country to access immediate medical service for their minor children, which, given the current context, has become even more difficult. For this reason, Doctor Kids Online aims to be an accessible and fast medical care channel focused on serving children up to 5 years old, who reside in Metropolitan Lima, in the specialties of pediatrics, nutrition and child psychology. The added value of this project is that families will be able to access virtual medical care at an affordable cost without waiting times or reprogramming from the comfort of their homes. The target audience is young parents who make use of social networks and usually make purchases online, they value time and quality. Taking these needs into account, the project's value proposition will be based on the quality and immediacy of the service. To do this, we will have a website that allows the user experience to be didactic and simple. Two methodological types of research were used. Qualitative research, through in-depth interviews and the Pitch method through a landing page to identify the most relevant needs and 70% indicate that they would be willing to take the virtual medical service or that they have already taken it. Regarding the analysis of the financial plan, the project is profitable, having a NPV of S/6,365,682 and an TIR of 723.30%.

Texto completoAbstractUrban kids- Functional apparel for rough environmentsUrban kids is functional apparel for city children. The aim for this project is to develop functional clothes for the autumn and the winter season which provides a contrast to the designs presented today by outdoor and sports companies. The target group is fashion oriented city parents that do not hesitate to pay a little extra for a product representing their life style. This project provides a foundation of information to support the idea that it is possible to design technically functional outer wear for children without the sporty look.By using brainstorming and a mood board, a picture collage which gives the essence of the product, the concept “rocky playfulness” was developed. This concept is a contrast to the sporty expression.Throughout the whole project the design process has been the guide to reach the goal. This means that the project started with a primary research on materials, sustainable issues and eco-certificate, competitors, safety and guidelines for children’s wear and requirements from the user and the target group. The process continued by brainstorming and sketching in order to present three concepts. By evaluation using a function analysis one final concept was chosen for further processing. The result is a jacket and a pair of trousers as shell garments in order to use it a longer period of time during the season. The parts of the clothes mostly exposed, are enhanced with stronger, more hardwearing fabric. The choice of colors is black. This is due to the inspiration by a rocky attitude where black is often seen, but it is however not the only reason. Black is a more genderneutral color suitable for both boys and girls. It is also a practical color considering that dirt doesn´t appear as clearly as if the garment had a brighter color. One other important aspect of this project is to use material coherent with recycling and a sustainableway of thinking, focusing on finding functional material which supports this. During the research the material Eco Storm, from the Japanese manufacturer Teijin, was found. It is a polyestermembrane with an outer fabric made of recycled polyester. The conclusion of this project is that it is possible to produce/design functional wear with an urban feeling. This is in itself nothing new, it has been used in adult clothing, but the difference is that the technical function materials are excluded in the children’s wear. With Urban kids this is now also an option for the children.

Sport media has been a known producer of traditional gender images that reflect inequality between sexes. Sport media has been studied endlessly, but one aspect that has not fostered as much attention is sport media, advertising, and children. Sports Illustrated for Kids is the only sport media print magazine for children, with a readership age of 8-15 years old. Images and gender stereotypes have been used continuously by advertising companies to sell products to consumers. Children in particular cannot accurately determine between content that is meant to inform and content that is meant to sell. This study examined whether editorial and advertising images in Sports Illustrated for Kids reflects actual participation rates of athletic activities based on gender in issues from the past decade. Utilizing past research, this study looked at overall numbers and stereotypes by examining factors such as state of dress, photo angle, and motion in photograph. Findings show that females are still under and misrepresented in SIK. Even so, findings of this study suggest representation of women in team neutral sport such as soccer and basketball is on the rise. Findings could have implications for SIK’s young readership as well highlight a need for more education about advertising and editorial practices being implemented.

Pet Park is a graphical, networked virtual world for kids. Kids can log in to Pet Park over the Internet to talk with other kids and create new pets. They can design behaviors for their pets by writing scripts with a simple programming language for kids called YoYo. Pet Park is a collaborative building environment that recognizes the importance of community support for construction. This thesis discusses the differences between graphical online worlds like Pet Park and their text-based cousins. Many of these differences have important ramifications for the design and implementation of constructionist graphical environments. This thesis goes on to present a set of design criteria for a next generation of graphical learning worlds.
