ملخص البحث: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن إسهامات المدوَّنات النصيَّة في الدراسات اللغويَّة وبيان دورها في تعليم اللغة العربيَّة وتعلُّمها، ستقوم هذه الدراسة بتحليل مدوَّنتين نصيَّتين في ماليزيا، هما: مُدوَّنة الكتب العربيَّة الـمُقرَّرة والـمُدونات النصيَّة العربيَّة للجامعة الإسلاميَّة العالميَّة بماليزيا؛ إذ تتمثَّل مدوَّنة الكتب العربيَّة في الكتب الـمُقرَّرة لـمادّة اللغة العربيَّة بالمدارس الثانويَّة بماليزيا ابتداء من السنة الأولى حتى السنة الخامسة؛ أمَّا المدوَّنات الأخرى فتحتوي على النصوص الأكاديميَّة العربيَّة التابعة للجامعة الإسلاميَّة العالميَّة بماليزيا مثل الأطروحات الجامعيَّة، وأوراق المؤتمرات والمقالات المنشورة في المجلات الـمُحكَّمة. ونتج عن هذه الدراسة قوائم كلمات، وكشافات سياقيَّة اعتماداً على كلتا الـمُدوَّنتين سعياً إلى الكشف عن الكلمات الشائعة ووجوه استخدامها في السياقات المختلفة، وأوضحت الدراسة بأنَّه لا يمكن الاستغناء عن الـمُدوَّنات النصيَّة لمن لديهم اهتمام في تطوير لغتهم وتعبيرهم مثل الـطلاب والـمُعلِّمين ومؤلفي الكتب المقرَّرة، وكتب تمارين اللغة العربيَّة والمعاجم؛ حيث تُعتبر قائمة الكلمات مرجعاً أساسيّاً ومهمّاً في الدراسات اللغويَّة وبالأخصّ في تعليم اللغة وتعلُّمها. الكلمات المفتاحية: المدوَّنات النصيَّة-قائمة الكلمات-الكشافات السياقيَّة-تكرار الكلمات-الكتب العربية المقررة. Abstract: This study aims to discover the contribution of Arabic corpus in language studies, and to explain it’s role in learning and teaching Arabic language. This study analyses two Malaysian corpora which are Arabic Textbooks Corpus and Arabic Corpus of International Islamic University Malaysia. The first corpus is on Arabic textbooks used in Malaysian secondary schools by the first until the fifth years of the secondary schools. The second corpus contains academic texts for example from theses, conference papers and journal articles. The result of this study shows the word list and concordance for both corpuses. This study proves that the corpus is important to develop the language among learners, teachers, writers of textbooks, exercise books and dictionaries. The word list is regarded as the basic reference in language study as well as in learning and teaching of language. Keywords: Corpus, word list, concordance, word frequency, arabic textbooks Abstrak: Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti sumbangan korpus berbahasa Arab dalam pengajian bahasa, di samping menghuraikan peranannya dalam pembelajaran dan pengajaran bahasa Arab. Kajian ini menganalisis dua korpus dari Malaysia iaitu Korpus Buku Teks Bahasa Arab dan Korpus Bahasa Arab dari Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia. Sumber korpus yang pertama daripada buku teks bahasa Arab bagi tingkatan satu hingga tingkatan lima yang digunakan di sekolah menengah di Malaysia. Manakala korpus yang kedua mengandungi teks akademik seperti tesis, kertas persidangan dan artikel jurnal. Hasil bagi kajian ini ditunjukkan dalam bentuk senarai kata dan konkordans bagi kedua-dua korpus. Kajian ini membuktikan bahawa korpus penting untuk pengajian bahasa dalam kalagan pelajar, tenaga pengajar, serta penulis buku teks, buku latihan dan kamus terutamanya hasil daripada senarai kata yang menjadi rujukan asas dalam kajian bahasa, serta pembelajaran dan pengajaran bahasa. People as language users only act as narratives and care less about the problems that surround them. One of the regional languages, namely Sundanese, which is used by the Sundanese as a mother tongue, is now experiencing a shift because it is less used among teenagers. This study aims to avoid the local language (Sundanese) among teenagers. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method, the sample in this study were teenagers in the village area in the city of Cimahi. The research instrument used was a distributed questionnaire. The current phenomenon is that teenagers rarely use local languages. The position of regional languages ​​has decreased, including the use of Sundanese. This can be influenced by the use of a second language, both Indonesian and foreign languages. The youths show that Indonesian and foreign languages ​​have more respectable positions than the regions. Therefore, the use of the Sundanese language is considered important with a view to maintaining and maintaining the Sundanese language.

This study aims to examine the existence of language shifts through shifts in speaking skills due to interactions between Indonesian, regional languages, and foreign languages. The data collection technique used is the recording technique as the main technique, while the interview and direct observation techniques are additional techniques. The respondents of this study were 34 students of the Indonesian language study program and the foreign language study program. Speech data were analyzed with three aspects of oral language skills, namely (2) speech tempo (prosody or intonation), (2) fluency, and (3) lexical (Itkonen, 2010:15-17). The results of the analysis show that there has been a shift in speaking skills from regional languages to Indonesian for all groups of respondents. Even students who are engaged in foreign languages are on average more fluent in foreign languages than in regional languages. These are indicators of a shift in regional languages to Indonesian and a shift in regional languages to foreign languages among this group of students. It can be formulated that the lower the speaking skill of a language is mastered by the speaker, the more vulnerable the language is to be shifted by a language that is more capable of being mastered by the speaker.

The use of language is the most important part of communication. Without using language, communication between humans cannot be done. Indonesia is a country that has various ethnic groups, cultures, languages, races and religions. Based on this, of course, in Indonesia there are various kinds of regional languages. One of the regional languages is Sundanese which is used by the Sundanese. This study aims to preserve the local language (Sundanese) among teenagers. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach, this research is carried out by exploring and describing the phenomena that occur. The current phenomenon is that teenagers who are local language maintainers have started to rarely use local languages. The position of regional languages has decreased, including the use of Sundanese. This can be influenced by the use of a second language, both Indonesian and foreign languages. Teenagers think that Indonesian and foreign languages have a more prestigious position than regional languages. Therefore, the use of Sundanese is considered important with a view to preserving and maintaining the Sundanese language.

Abstract As one of the 718 regional languages ​​in Indonesia, Wolio is the language spoken in the Buton Islands region. This study was conducted to determine the extent of the existence of the Wolio language in Baubau City, especially among Millennial speakers. This research is a research that applies a qualitative and quantitative approach. Qualitative data was obtained from interviews, while quantitative data was obtained from questionnaires. This study applies a sociolinguistic study of language shift and maintenance. The sample of this research is Wolio language speakers who are included in the millennial generation (born between 1981 – 1994). The results of this study indicate that currently the average active speaker of the Wolio language is over 40 years old. Only in 2 sub-districts showed a positive trend towards the use of the Wolio language among millennial speakers in the city of Baubau. Therefore, currently the status of the Wolio language in the city of Baubau can be categorized as a local language that is threatened with extinction if no improvement is made or efforts are not made to maintain the Wolio language

When it comes to knowledge and technology, globalization has a huge impact on the daily lives of a wide range of people including the young. There are a lot of different ways to express yourself, from how you live your life to the language you use. There may be a large number of people who feel cheated if they use an Indonesian language that is accurate and up-to-date. As a result, the language is a major source of pride for the nation. As a generation of people, we must be capable of communicating with other countries in Indonesian as a form of pen-to-paper diplomacy. Using a language that isn't your native tongue is a common occurrence in the surrounding environment, and ironically, this has been viewed as a sign of progress. One of the main reasons for the difficulty in using the Indonesian language is the influence of other languages or modernization. This is a common occurrence among Roman Catholics throughout the country. Indonesian Bahasa baku has been caused by the development of the Gaul language. They'll forget to speak in Indonesian while they're discussing official matters, even though they're used to speaking in Gaul. As a result, all parties who are interested in using the Indonesian language in a proper and accurate manner will need to pay attention to this situation. Among other things, we may tell the Indonesian people, especially the descendants of the Bangsa Penerus generation,that Indonesian is a national language and must be spoken.

The Javanese language is one of the Indonesian local languages with thelargest speakers. Meanwhile, there is anxiety that has been rise lately about the existence of Javanese language since the use of it in communication had been drastically decreased. This research uses mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative to obtain the areas and reasons why the Javanese language had been used among young marrie couples in ex-Semarang regency. The result of the study showed that the use of Javanese language found in six areas; familyhood, neighborhood, working area, friendship, trading area, and public space. The reasons of the using of Javanese language is simply because the majority of the society were native speakers; so it has been commonly using since early age; to develop warm and unformal relationship; to give language lesson and example to children and to other people; the expression of politeness and honors; to eliminate awkward and overact feeling when use Indonesian language, so that the communication would be easier to understand.

Indonesian society is multicultural and multilingual. Dialects in Indonesia have a lot of indigenous concepts, which are important for the nation building. In a multilingual society, language contact means that languages with small repertoire can be dominated by languages with larger repertoire (Romaine 2000). The Batak Toba language has concepts about egalitarianism, transparency and harmonizes relation between human being and environment. Most of young Batak Toba generation, who were born and who are living in Jakarta do not speak well Batak Toba language. There is a language shift among them, although they do not speak Batak Toba language, they still master the world views of Batak Toba culture.

The study was conducted because of the widespread use of slang among Undip students. This study aims: 1) find out the existence of Indonesian language among Undip students, and 2) find out there is an influence of Slang on the existence of Indonesian among Undip Students. The method used in data collection is a qualitative method. The data collection technique is in the form of a survey. Respondents in this study were students of Diponegoro University Applied Foreign Languages class of 2019 with a total of 56 respondents. The results showed: 1) Students were able to distinguish the application of slang in lectures from everyday life, and 2) the influence of slang on the existence of Indonesian during lectures for students.

The analysis method used in this study is the contextual method. This research is a qualitative research, where the research that produces descriptive data in the form of written words. The data collection techniques used werw listening, recording and interviewing techniques. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the form of code mixing included the insertion of elements in the form of 28 words, 2 phrases and 1 clause. The background for the occurrence of code mixing is due to two factors, namely the speaker factor and the language factor. Speakers factor that causes code mixing, due to relaxedness and habits in language. This study was aimed to determine the influence of self-efficacy on Arabic language competency among primary school pupils. Arabic is one of the three major languages that play an important role in human history and civilization. This survey was conducted on 200 primary school students in the northwestern part of Sabah who was selected by using cluster and simple random sampling. The instrument used were the questionnaire and the Arabic test set. The data were analyzed using SPSS software. Then, the data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation and simple regression). The result found that there was a significant correlation (r = 0.329, p <0.01) and also a significant influence (R2 = .109, p<0.05) of self-efficacy on students' Arabic proficiency. It is hoped that this study will be able to provide useful information to improve Arabic language competency among students.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh fenomena perubahan dan pergeseran berbahasa, yang tadinya menggunakan bahasa Daerah beralih ke bahasa Indonesia. Peristiwa ini sering ditemui di kalangan masyarakat khususnya mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa UPI yang lahir di Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola perubahan bahasa Sunda pada mahasiswa UPI ketika berinteraksi, pergeseran pemakaian bahasa Sunda pada mahasiswa UPI, dan langkah yang tepat untuk mempertahankan bahasa Daerah di kalangan mahasiswa UPI. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuisioner. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan perubahan dan pergeseran bahasa Sunda di kalangan mahasiswa UPI. Dengan persentase 32% memakai bahasa Sunda, 68% sisanya memakai bahasa Indonesia yang dicampur bahasa Sunda. Sehingga didapat upaya-upaya untuk mempertahankan bahasa Sunda dikalangan Mahasiswa UPI. Kata Kunci: perubahan bahasa; pergeseran bahasa; pemertahanan bahasa. Abstract: This research is motivated by the phenomenon of language change and shifting, which had used local languages to switch to Indonesian. This event is often found in the community, especially students. The subjects of this study were UPI students who were born in West Java. This study aims to determine patterns of Sundanese language change in UPI students when interacting, shifting the use of Sundanese in UPI students, and appropriate steps to maintain regional languages among UPI students. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The technique used is the technique of collecting data through questionnaires. The results of this study indicate changes and shifts in Sundanese among UPI students. With a percentage of 32% using Sundanese, the remaining 68% using Indonesian mixed with Sundanese. Abstrak Perkembangan dan perubahan bahasa secara masif telah menyentuh teritorial tradisional termasuk di Negeri Waraka yang terletak di pesisir Teluk Elpaputih Maluku Tengah, yang masyarakatnya menuturkan bahasa Wemale atau bahasa Waraka. Hanya generasi usia lanjut yang berkomunikasi dalam bahasa tersebut. Untuk itu, diinisiasi penyuluhan kepada generasi muda tentang pentingnya bahasa daerah melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) kepada para siswa di SMA Negeri 55 Teluk Elpaputih. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah singkat disertai tanya-jawab, diskusi dan mendata kosakata, serta permainan acak pasangan kartu. Hasilnya memperlihatkan bahwa kosakata bahasa daerah yang dimiliki para siswa memang sangat minim karena transmisi antara orang tua kepada anak terhambat. Namun, potensi para siswa cukup besar untuk mulai men-input kosakata sehari-hari, dan dibiasakan melalui kalimat-kalimat sederhana dari dalam keluarga. Dengan demikian, bahasa daerah memang harus diprioritaskan di rumah. The method used is a short lecture method with questions and answers, discussion and vocabulary collection, as well as a random game of card pairs. The results show that the local language vocabulary owned by the students is indeed very minimal because the transmission between parents to children is hampered. However, the potential of the students is big enough to start inputting everyday vocabulary, and get used to it through simple sentences from within the family. In sociolinguistic studies, language is defined as a symbol system, in the form of sound, arbitrary, productive, dynamic, diverse and human. Understanding of language in the big Indonesian dictionary, understanding language in general can be defined as a symbol, and understanding language according to the term is a communication tool in the form of a system of symbols produced by speech organs in humans. Language is also part of culture and it is language that develops culture as we know it today. Language can also act as a tool for social integration as well as a tool for social adaptation, considering that Indonesian has a pluralistic language. Slang is the typical language of teenagers (words that are changed in such a way that it can only be understood between them) can be understood by almost all teenagers in the country who are reached by the mass media. Yet the terms are evolving, changing and increasing almost every day. Slang is a language that has unique terms, while the second definition is made clear again that it is teenagers who use the language and the language will continue to develop. As for the characteristics of slang, the factors that support the prevalence of slang among teenagers, the influence of slang on Indonesian and the impact of the use of slang.

AbstractThe development of language is accompanied by rapid technological developments and is influenced by changing times. Therefore, language is dynamic and has an impact on language changes that produce a new language, namely the language of teenagers. Adolescent language develops in the student social environment. This study aims to 1) determine the use of adolescent language among students and 2) determine the impact of the use of adolescent language on the existence of Indonesian among students. The method used is descriptive qualitative with questionnaire collection techniques. The respondents of this study were 25 students of IKIP Siliwangi. The results of this study indicate: 1) the language of teenagers is used because it seems relaxed when communicating with other students and 2) the impact of the use of adolescent language has an effect on the existence of the Indonesian language.Keywords: Youth Language, Existence of Indonesian Language AbstrakPerkembangan bahasa diiringi dengan perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat serta dipengaruhi oleh perubahan zaman. Oleh karena itu, bahasa bersifat dinamis dan berdampak pada perubahan bahasa yang menghasilkan sebuah bahasa baru, yaitu bahasa remaja. Bahasa remaja berkembang di lingkungan pergaulan mahasiswa. ABSTRAKMasalah dalam penelitian adalah pengguna bahasa Lampung yang kian menurun partisipasinya di dalam berkomunikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan secara kuantitatif durasi, frekuensi, dan arah sikap pengguna bahasa Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jawaban responden terhadap pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang disajikan dalam bentuk angket. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik angket/kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan software SPSS Versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa durasi, frekuensi, dan arah sikap pengguna bahasa Lampung tergolong tinggi. Pada aspek durasi penggunaan bahasa Lampung didapat perhitungan X ˃ 2 sebanyak 26 responden dengan persentase sebesar 65%. Pada aspek frekuensi penggunaan bahasa Lampung didapat perhitungan X ˃ 40,3 sebanyak 28 responden dengan persentase 70%. Adapun pada aspek arah sikap pengguna bahasa Lampung didapat perhitungan X ˃ 55 sebanyak 33 responden dengan persentase sebesar 82,5%.Kata kunci: bahasa lampung, intensitas, mahasiswaABSTRACTThe problem in the study is lampung language users who are increasingly participating in communication. The purpose of this study is to quantitatively describe the duration, frequency, and direction of attitude of lampung language users.This study uses quantitative descriptive methods. The data used in this study is the respondent's answer to questions presented in the form of a questionnaire. Data collection is done by questionnaire/questionnaire technique. Data analysis is done using SPSS Software Version 23. The results showed that the duration, frequency, and direction of attitude of lampung language users is considered high. In terms of the duration of use of Lampung language is obtained calculation X ˃ 2 as many as 26 respondents with a percentage of 65%. In terms of frequency of use lampung language obtained calculation X ˃ 40,3 as much as 28 respondents with a percentage of 70%. Language is the identity of a country or region that is used as the main communication tool. Everyone needs language when interacting, expressing ideas and opinions and other social relationships. In its development, the use of Indonesian began to shift to be replaced by the use of the language of teenagers, one of which was the use of the word bestie. The use of the word bestie is not only used by teenagers, not infrequently educated people also use this bestie language, both in oral and written form, both in formal and non-formal times, resulting in the use of language being bad and incorrect so that it will have an impact on the existence of the Indonesian language. It would be nice if we can use good and correct Indonesian, so that the existence of Indonesian as the national language is maintained. Indonesian is the language of unity, so as Indonesian people who care and respect their national language, we must maintain and help preserve our language, namely Indonesian. If we have used good and correct Indonesian, people around us will be infected directly.

This study aims to analyze the language identity constructs preferred by Brunei Malay ethnic teens based on one language identity model. This study was conducted at SMK Membakut (2) Beaufort, Sabah. The sample consisted of 56 Brunei Malay ethnic teens age 15 years. The survey method was conducted using a structured questionnaire consisting of 17 language identity constructs. In addition to frequency tables and Likert scales, descriptive statistics are used to calculate percentages, mean and standard deviation of each language identity construct. The language identity constructs consist of a sense of belonging, attitude toward the pronunciation, language and social status, use or exposure of B1, language knowledge, and script or alphabet. The results showed their sense of belonging to the standard Malay was stronger than the Brunei Malay language. But the pronunciation pattern which they desired tends to be the Brunei Malay language. Usage or exposure of the Brunei Malay language as L1 by the Brunei community in the district of Membakut, Sabah was still up-to-the-minute. Thus, the participants chose to get more knowledge of the Malay Brunei language, not the standard Malay. However, in everyday life, teens associated social status with standard Malay which was more prestigious. Therefore, they chose to use standard Malay script or alphabet when sending text messages and e-mail. The pervasive use of Brunei Malay in low variety domains able them to maintain their identity and the continuity of Brunei culture despite government recommendations to assimilate and acculturation.

If someone wants to get a good quality translation, a translator cannot add or reduce the meaning contained in the source language because it is affected by the original form of the target language. Translation is a bridge between the writer of source language text and the target language reader to make the text come naturally appropriate in the target language. This is certainly different when the results of a translation are still too related to the language and culture of the source. The translation will be wrong and rigid. A translator must master the translation strategy, namely: collocation, domestication and technicality. As well as aspects that must be understood, namely: accuracy, readability and acceptability. This can also be a reference for students in finding solutions to problems in translating difficulties, especially for the Arabic Language and Literature students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of Chinese Language mastery level among the trainee teachers at the Institute of Teacher Education. The selected trainee teachers comprise two different programs, namely the Bachelor of Education Program (PISMP) and the Postgraduate Education in Diploma Program (PDPLI). A total of 389 samples were selected from 16 Institute of Teacher Education throughout the country by using the group and simple random sampling method. The instruments consisted of a Chinese Language test that was used to measure their achievement in the Chinese language as well as a questionnaire aimed at measuring their Chinese Language proficiency level. The results showed that the Chinese Language test results for the PISMP trainee teachers showed a high passing rate of 99.63%, whereas the DPLI trainee teachers scored at average 72.28%. Furthermore, the overall comparison found that the majority of the trainee teachers master the language skills well in communication, reading and writing skills. However, the t-test indicated that there was a significant difference in Chinese Language achievement between the PISMP program respondents and the DPLI respondents with t = 19.76, p <.05, η = .67. This meant that the level of proficiency in the Chinese Language skills of PISMP trainee teachers was better than that of the DPLI trainee teachers. Therefore, the Malay trainee teachers should regularly associate with native speakers to improve their understanding and mastery of Chinese Language, Linguistics and knowledge of Chinese Culture to enhancing the quality of their teaching in the classroom.

This study aimed to determine the use of language in the family domain and the intergenerational language transmission among Bisaya ethnic students by gender. Researchers selected 205 participants in form 4, 5, and 6 from 3 secondary schools in Beaufort, Sabah, of which 115 girls and 90 boys. A field survey was conducted using two types of questionnaires adapted from Drummond (2010) and Fishman (1991). Survey data made use of percentage, mean, graded scale, and chi-square statistics. It was found that the choice of language in the family domain from both groups of students was 25% Bisaya language, Malay 75%. The mean 20.01 for language choice in the family domain by the girl group was higher than those of the boy group, 19.98. The level of intergenerational language transmission between parents and children selected by both groups of students was Grade 3, Endangered. About 51.06% from the boy group and 60.9% from the girl group had selected this scale. Grade 3, Endangered is interpreted as the Bisaya language is used by most generations of parents and above. Parents can still speak the language to their children, but their children usually do not respond to Bisaya. The researchers accepted the null hypothesis that there was no significant difference in intergenerational language transmission based on gender. The intergenerational language transmission factor is a major cause of language endangerment. This factor was founded by Fishman (1991) which has been recognized as the gold standard of language vitality by the UNESCO language expert group.

<p>Social media was a proof of the rapid development in information technology. It was in line with the appearance of slang words formed by its users. Most of social media users were teenagers. The rapid of vacabulary creation of slang language was a proof of linguistics creativity formed by social media’s users mostly teenagers. This research aimed to identify words form of slang language found in instagram feeds and comments column. The data was slang words collected by using observation methods with screenshot and note taking techniques. Data was taken from instagram feeds and comments of @dagelan and @memecomic.id. The result showed that words forms of slang language classified into some forms, namely (1) acronym, (2) abreviation, (3) contraction, (4) klipping, (5) walikan form, (6) borrowing from foreign language, (7) association, (8) monophonization, (9) infiltration of vocal letters, (10) words formed by improving from original words, and (11) new words formed of the creativity of instagram users.</p>

In this study, quantitative methods using structured questionnaires were used to assess the impact of slang use on good and correct Indonesian use among Generation Z. The study participants consisted of 35 people from Generation Z. Data analysis concluded that although the majority of respondents admitted to using slang in daily life, awareness of the importance of using Indonesian formal language still remained high. The results showed that the use of slang did not have a significant effect on the participants' ability to use Indonesian words accurately. This highlights that although Gen Z generally embraces slang culture, Indonesian is still considered important in the context of communication. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed to encourage the use of Indonesia's official language in various communication situations. A follow-up study examined the impact of slang use on Generation Z's interpersonal and professional communication, and highlighted that although slang has an interesting cultural influence, awareness of formal language use remains relevant.

Kajian ini berfokuskan kepada pemilihan bahasa dan penguasaan bahasa Melayu anak-anak pasangan kahwin campur Orang Asli Jakun di Bukit Ibam, Pahang. Komuniti Orang Asli yang terkenal dengan pengamalan gaya hidup tradisional dilihat semakin terbuka menerima amalan kahwin campur yang semakin menular pada masa kini. Maka, kecenderungan anak-anak pasangan Orang Asli yang berkahwin campur untuk tidak menggunakan bahasa Melayu dalam komunikasi sehari-hari dilihat berada pada tahap yang membimbangkan. Justeru, kajian ini mengaplikasikan Teori Analisis Domain Fishman untuk menilai pemilihan bahasa dan penguasaan bahasa Melayu anak-anak pasangan Orang Asli yang berkahwin campur. Namun, kajian ini hanya memberikan tumpuan kepada domain kekeluargaan sahaja. Reka bentuk kualitatif digunakan untuk mendapatkan data melalui tiga kaedah iaitu kajian kepustakaan, soal selidik dan temu bual. Sebanyak 14 kata panggilan dalam kekeluargaan disenaraikan untuk melihat pemilihan bahasa anak-anak Orang Asli. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan bahawa anak-anak Orang Asli hasil daripada perkahwinan campur di Bukit Ibam lebih memilih menggunakan bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa utama dalam komunikasi berbanding bahasa Jakun. Hal ini secara tidak langsung telah mempengaruhi tahap penguasaan bahasa Melayu yang baik dari segi membaca dan menulis. Namun, bahasa Jakun masih digunakan oleh sesetengah individu yang berusaha memelihara kelestarian bahasa Jakun dalam kalangan Orang Asli di Bukit Ibam. Penguasaan bahasa Melayu yang baik perlu dijadikan sebagai pengukur kepada masyarakat Orang Asli yang lain dalam usaha memartabatkan penggunaan bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa kebangsaan di Malaysia. This research focuses on the language selection and Malay language proficiency of mixed marriages children of Orang Asli Jakun couples in Bukit Ibam, Pahang. The Orang Asli Jakun community, which is famous for practicing traditional lifestyles, is seen to be more open to accepting the practice of mixed marriages, which is increasingly practised nowadays. Therefore, the tendency of mixed marriage children not using the Malay language in daily communication is worrisome. Thus, this research applied Fishman's Domain Analysis Theory to assess the language selection and Malay language proficiency of mixed marriages chidlren of the Orang Asli Jakun, focusing only on the family domain. Qualitative researcg design was employed to obtain data through three methods, namely literature review, questionnaire and interview protocol. Fourteen (14) family-related terms were listed to examine the children's language selection. The results revealed that these children in Bukit Ibam preferred to use Malay language as the main language of communication compared to Jakun language. This has indirectly affected their level of mastery of the Malay language in terms of reading and writing. However, Jakun language is still used by some community members who are trying to preserve the Jakun language among the Orang Asli in Bukit Ibam. Good mastery of the Malay language among the Orang Asli Jakun’s children should be the yardstick for other communities of the indigenous peoples to master the language, and as an effort to dignify the use of Malay language as the national language in Malaysia.

Penggunaan istilah dalam bidang penyuntingan naskhah sering menimbulkan kekeliruan apabila pengguna bahasa perlu memilih sama ada ingin menggunakan bahasa pinjaman atau bahasa Melayu asli. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti istilah-istilah penyuntingan dalam bahasa Melayu asli di samping menganalisis persepsi para pensyarah terhadap penggunaan istilah penyuntingan berbahasa Melayu asli. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah bertanyakan soalan (naming questions) yang bertumpukan kepada persoalan kajian dalam mengkaji persepsi responden terhadap istilah penyuntingan berbahasa Melayu. Selain itu, kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif serta instrumen soal selidik yang melibatkan empat (4) orang pensyarah universiti sebagai responden yang dipilih melalui persampelan bertujuan (purposive sampling) supaya bertepatan dengan ciri-ciri yang dikehendaki oleh pengkaji. Dapatan kajian mengenai persepsi seperti ‘menggunakan’, ‘menggalakkan’, ‘faham’ dan ‘sikap’ menunjukkan bahawa istilah penyuntingan berbahasa Melayu digunakan sepenuhnya dalam kalangan responden. Selain itu, kecenderungan responden dalam menggunakan istilah-istilah penyuntingan berbahasa Melayu asli juga memaparkan jumlah yang tinggi. Justeru, para pensyarah dalam bidang penyuntingan bahasa Melayu tidak mempunyai persepsi yang negatif terhadap penggunaan istilah penyuntingan berbahasa Melayu asli. Daunting decision in the field of manuscript editing happened when choosing either to use borrowed words or the original Malay language. Therefore, this study aims to identify the terms of editing in the original Malay language as well as to analyse the perceptions of lecturers on the use of editing terms in the original Malay language. This study uses the method of naming questions which focuses on research questions in examining respondents' perceptions of the term Malay language editing. In addition, this study uses qualitative method and questionnaire instruments involving four (4) university lecturers as respondents selected through purposive sampling to coincide with the characteristics desired by the researcher. Findings of the study on perceptions such as ‘use’, ‘encourage’, ‘understand’ and ‘attitude’ show that the term Malay language editing is used fully among the respondents. Besides, their tendency in using original Malay language editing terms also displays a high number. Thus, the lecturers in the field of Malay language editing do not have a negative perception on the use of the term original Malay language editing.

Di antaranya, Tiktok saat ini sangat gemari kalangan remaja, karena media sosial ini adalah tempat untuk mereka mengekspresikan dirinya dan juga sebagai tempat untuk berkomunikasi. Terdapat variasi atau ragam bahasa yang ada dalam menggunakan media sosial Tiktok. Keragaman tersebut hadir karena beberapa faktor - faktor sosial dan faktor situasi yang menyebabkan variasi bahasa dalam bermedia sosial Tiktok semakin beragam saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah analisis pengaruh Tiktok Terhadap Variasi Bahasa Kolokial pada remaja dan teman sejawat. One of the social media platforms that has a major influence on Indonesian teenagers is Tiktok which is currently very popular with young people because this is a place for them to express themselves and also a place to interact with others. There are variants of the existing language and a new language formed when using Tiktok. This linguistic diversity occurs due to a number of social and situational factors that make the language variation on the social network - Tiktok more and more diverse. This research aims to analyze the influence of TikTok on colloquial change in adolescents and their peers. The problem posed in this study is "How does TikTok affect colloquial change among adolescents?" and the study subjects were third-class students on SMA 1 Kejayan East Java and students in Kuningan University, West Java. This research uses mixed methods research, namely quantitative and qualitative approaches. Keragaman tersebut hadir karena beberapa faktor - faktor sosial dan faktor situasi yang menyebabkan variasi bahasa dalam bermedia sosial Tiktok semakin beragam saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah analisis pengaruh Tiktok Terhadap Variasi Bahasa Kolokial pada remaja dan teman sejawat. Masalah yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah "Bagaimana pengaruh tiktok pada bahasa kolokial remaja?" dan objek kajian adalah siswa SMA 1 Kejayan Jawa Timur dan Mahasiswa Universitas Kuningan Jawa Barat. Para mubaligh disana menggunakan cara khusus untuk menyampaikan materi tablighnya kepada penyandang disabilitas dengan menggunakan Bahasa Isyarat dengan pendekatan Komunikasi Total. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses tabligh terhadap penyandang tunarungu wicara, materi tabligh yang disampakan terhadap penyandang tunarungu dan metode yang dilakukan dalam penyampaian materi tabligh terhadap penyandang tunarungu wicara di Jama’ah Tabligh Al-Latifah Buah Batu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dekriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan, menganalisis data yang menggambarkan situasi kedaan dan hasil temuan lapangan yang bersifat non-hipotesis, selanjutnya mendeskripsikan apa yang dilihat, didengar, dirasakan, dan ditanyakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan tabligh pada proses pelakasanaanya menemukan berbagai macam hambatan, Hambatan-hambatan tersebut adalah: (a) Perbedaan Kemampuan dalam Berbahasa Isyarat, (b) Hambatan lainya. Oleh karena itu ada upaya dalam mengatasi hambatan-hambatan, guna mengoptimalkan peyampaian materi menjadi lebih baik lagi : Mempedalam Bahasa Isyarat Komunikasi Total, (b) Pendekatan Secara Psikologis Kata kunci : Tabligh; Tunarungu Wicara; Komunikasi Total. In Jama'ah Tabligh Al-Latifah Buah Batu there are persons with hearing impairments. The preachers there use a special method to convey their material to persons with disabilities using Sign Language using the Total Communication approach. The purpose of this study is to find out how the tabligh process of deaf people is speaking, what material is tabligh delivered to deaf people and how the method is carried out in delivering tabligh material to deaf people in Jama'ah Tabligh Al-Latifah Buah Batu. This research uses descriptive research method with a qualitative approach by collecting, analyzing data describing the situation of the situation and the results of non-hypothesis field findings, then describing what is seen, heard, felt, and asked. The results of this study indicate that tabligh activities in the implementation process find a variety of obstacles, these obstacles are: (a) Differences in Sign Language Ability, (b) Other obstacles. Therefore there are efforts in overcoming obstacles, in order to optimize the delivery of material to be even better: Deepening the Total Communication Sign Language, (b) Psychological Approach. Javanese language is geographically spoken in wide areas; however, it seemsthat its speakers began to give up using it. This can be seen that the quality of itsusage among the young Javanese is deteriorated. This phenomenon mainly happensin the urban areas where the young Javanese tend to use Indonesian languagerather than Javanese language. They think that Javanese language is complicatedrequiring its speakers some regulations and etiquettes, thus they tend to use Indonesianlanguage that is considered as neutral and easy. If this language attitudeoccurs for a long period of time, the Javanese language will be abandoned by itsspeakers or die. The research sample is taken by restricted random sampling technique.They are 244 children and teenagers (between 5 to15 year old ) living insome housings in Kalasan regency. They are chosen from the genuine Javanesefamily whose parents and grand parents are Javanese in nature. The research datais all information about language choice of Javanese and Indonesian languagedone by the subjects of the study in the domain of their houses, schools, and publicplaces spoken to parents, teachers, schoolmates, friends at home, neighbors, auntsand uncles, guest or visitors, grand-mothers and fathers, and strangers. The datais taken by survey questionnaire. Based on the field data, most of the subjectschoose Indonesian language when they communicate with parents, teachers, schoolmates,friends at home, neighbors, aunts and uncles, guest or visitors, grand-mothersand fathers, and strangers. Most of them speak in Low level Javanese (ngoko) toparents, schoolmates, friends at home, neighbors, aunts and uncles, grand-mothersand fathers. This study is was carried out to examine the students’ level of anxiety in speaking Arabic language. Approximately 103 Arabic language education students from a university in Central Java were selected purposively to participate in this study. The instrument used in this study was the modified and translated Foreign Language Speaking Anxiety Scale by Balemir from Huang. This questionnaire consisted of 28 items with five-point likert scale ranged from strongly disagree to strongly agree. The data was then analysed using Winstep version 3.73 from Rasch model as well as IBM Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23. The result from Rasch model analysis showed that majority of the students experienced a moderate level of anxiety in speaking Arabic language, and the personal reason is the most potential source of their anxiety. The independent sample t-test result revealed that the female students were more anxious than the male students while speaking. The Spearman’s rho test result indicated that there was negative significant correlation between students’ anxiety in speaking Arabic language with their acedemic achievement.

Soft skills are non-academic competencies that complement a student's academic achievement to face the world of work in the future. This study aims to identify ways of implementing soft skills and the kind of soft skills emphasized in the teaching and learning of the Malay language among secondary school students in nine selected schools in Kedah, Penang, and Perak. The study involved focus group interviews and individual interviews consisted of 119 students and 26 Malay language teachers. The findings show that soft skills apply directly and indirectly through various learning activities in Malay Language subjects. Respondents from normal schools received less exposure to soft skills compared to respondents from high-performing schools (HPS). Among the soft skills identified in this study are teamwork skills, self-confidence, communication, critical thinking, leadership, influencing skills, critical and creative thinking skills (CCTS), and problem-solving skills. Communication skills and teamwork skills were among the most detected soft skills in the three high-performing schools involved in this study. Meanwhile, the activities carried out to apply soft skills are group discussions, presentations, acting, poetry recitation, storytelling, public speaking, forums, and question and answer. Although this study is not comprehensive in terms of the number of schools and respondents, the findings of this study are important to explain the real scenario of the level of mastery and integration of soft skills, especially in the nine cases of this study.

This researh aims to explore the practice of interactive media teaching among Malay teachers in secondary schools and explore the challenges of Malay teachers in using interactive media teaching with students in classroom. This research uses a qualitative research design that requires data and information through semi-structured interview methods, non-participant observation, and document analysis. A total of three Malay teachers who have used interactive media at one of the secondary schools in the Kota Samarahan area have been selected as study participants through purposive sampling. The findings showed seven practices applied in interactive teaching i.e. (i) feelings, (ii) teaching preparation, (iii) encouragement, (iv) quality of teaching, (v) student acceptance, (vi) time and (vii) evaluation. The results of the study also show that the challenges that exist in the use of interactive media teaching do not focus on the students' abilities, and are even influenced by the sophistication of the applications used in the teaching and learning sessions. The implications of this study will provide an opportunity for Malay teachers to come up with ideas in addressing issues and thus making interactive media a teaching practice.

It is clear that the command to apply tadabbur in Al-Quran includes all matters pertaining to it whether it is with regard to language structure or its content, signs or the miracles of Al-Quran. Arabic language which is the language chosen by Allah SWT in order to send down the Revelations has unique characteristics of sentence construction i.e. relating to the aspects of grammar, rhetoric, and semantics. One of the special features of the Arabic language is ellipsis or al-Hadhf al-Kalimah, or in plain language, it refers to the omission of words or phrases from speech or writing. If we scrutinize various books on the language, we will be able to ascertain that the discussion on ellipsis belongs to the field of Arabic rhetoric or al-Balaghah al-Arabiyyah. Therefore, the aim of this study is to find out to what extent is the understanding among Takmir teachers in Selangor of al-Hadhf-al-Kalimah-type verses in surah Yasin. It is hoped that from the outcome of this study the public will have a deeper understanding and appreciation of al-Hadhf al-Kalimah in Al-Quran.

Second, the form it can be divided into abbreviations, acronyms, and phrases. Third, the meaning of jargon that is formed is not the true meaning of meaning connotations. This paper specifically highlights the rihlah ‘ilmiyyah tradition among the scholars of Hadith in historical perspective. The presence technological advances and information now that it’s been more advanced, as well as easily accessible online anytime and any where, does not mean rihlah ‘ ilmiyyah by the time this becomes less relevant again. However, because a meeting directly with the teachers remain necessary in order to keep the scientific ethics and objectivity of scholarship which in turn will generate sustainable goodness value, or in the language of religion is referred to as the ‘blessing ‘ of science. In linguistics, the language we speak is a reflection of ourselves. People who speak politely will show a good personality. On the other hand, people who speak harshly, cursing, and criticizing show a bad personality. This is what social media users often forget. Indifference, impolite language results in misunderstandings. In oral and written communication, the language used must pay attention to politeness. In this digital era, teenagers and adults dominate the use of social media. Unfortunately, there are still many cases of using language that is not polite on social media which has a bad impact on the perpetrators. One of the impacts is that the perpetrators are caught in legal problems because of the words they say on social media. The use of language that is not polite occurs because of the lack of awareness of social media users regarding patterns of language politeness, especially those who are still teenagers, so this activity aims to provide knowledge to teenagers about language politely on social media and knowledge of the ITE Law. The hope to be achieved from this activity is that teenagers in Sawangan Village, Leksono District, Wonosobo Regency can apply the use of polite language when using social media and avoid using language that is less polite so that they avoid legal cases. Korean popular culture or hallyu whose spread can influence students in accepting culture from outside. This study aims to find out the Korean cultural trends that students have followed and how the process of imitating the behavior of students who follow these trends. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that FISIP ULM students have known Korean popular culture trends since they were in elementary school until now through watching Korean dramas on television and getting to know Korean music/K-pop through YouTube. From Korean dramas and K-pop, students learn about other trends, such as Korean fashion, Korean specialties and the Korean language. Trends in Korean popular culture that have been followed by FISIP ULM students are Korean drama shows, Korean music/K-pop, Korean-style fashion, Korean specialties and Korean language. Then, from getting to know the trend of Korean popular culture, students are interested in imitating the behavior of actors and actresses in Korean dramas and also their K-pop idols. Trends that are imitated such as clothing styles that give a casual but relaxed look, more colorful and simple, minimalist make-up displays, and hairstyles that they like as well as trends in Korean food and Korean language that make them curious and interested in trying and learning it.

This paper aims to discuss the level of knowledge towards national language among university students in the higher institution of education (public and private) namely, i) history, ii) policy and iii) the position of Malay language in the world. Therefore, a study was conducted at Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Multimedia University and UNISEL, Selangor. A total number of 460 respondents were involved through stratified random sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires and was analyzed descriptively. The findings show that majority of IPT students have high knowledge in all dimensions, namely the history, policy and the position Malay language globally. However, there are some items in the section of policy and position of Malay language that indicated low level of knowledge. Hence, knowledge towards national language policy and the position of Malay language in the world should be enhanced through mass media or in the process of teaching and learning. This is vital so that students can have better appreciation of the Article 152 in the Malaysian Constitution which focuses on Malay language as the national language, the foundation for unity and building Malaysian civilization. Abstrak: Makalah ini bertujuan membincangkan tahap pengetahuan bahasa kebangsaan dalam kalangan mahasiswa di institusi pengajian tinggi (awam dan swasta) dari aspek i) sejarah, ii) dasar dan iii) kedudukan bahasa Melayu di dunia. Sehubungan itu, satu kajian telah dijalankan di Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Multimedia dan Unisel, Selangor. Seramai 460 orang responden diperoleh melalui kaedah pensampelan rawak berstrata. Data dikumpul menggunakan borang soal selidik dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan majoriti mahasiswa IPT mempunyai pengetahuan yang tinggi terhadap semua dimensi, iaitu sejarah, dasar dan kedudukan bahasa Melayu di dunia. Namun, terdapat beberapa item dalam dimensi dasar dan kedudukan bahasa Melayu yang menunjukkan pengetahuan yang rendah. Justeru, pengetahuan mengenai dasar bahasa kebangsaan dan kedudukan bahasa Melayu di dunia perlu dipertingkatkan melalui media massa atau dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran agar mahasiswa dapat lebih menghayati Perkara 152 Perlembagaan Malaysia mengenai bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa kebangsaan yang menjadi teras kepada perpaduan seterusnya tamadun Malaysia.

This research was motivated by a title about the use of subtle language or choosing the right words when interacting. A person can be said to be ethical if he pays attention to polite and courteous language in his speech. The aim of this research is to describe or explain the form and function of Indonesian euphemisms among teenagers in East Pentadio village. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative research type. Based on the research results, it was found that the forms of euphemistic expressions used by young people in East Pentadio include abbreviations, foreign terms, metaphors and periphrases. Meanwhile, refined language functions to create a polite and comfortable atmosphere, disguise meaning, and reduce embarrassment. The habit of softening words has become part of society's culture. For this reason, as a cultured society, we are expected to be able to recognize the use of euphemisms. This serves to maintain mutual feelings and comfort in communicating with fellow speakers.

This study aims to: 1) describe the characteristics of deprivation of culture in the students of secondary school (SMP), which is in an environment characterized by cultural deprivation. 2) Know the difference in strength characteristics of cultural deprivation boys and girls, as well as the differences between classes. Participants of this study lived in the school environment and farm workers Banten, they are Mitra Persada junior high school students of class VII, VIII and IX amounting to 90 people and consists of 37 boys and 40 girls. Measuring instrument used is an instrument consisting of 30 items and has been tested for validity and reliability, the instrument was made based on the indicators of three (3) main aspects of deprivation of culture, namely: 1) Development Property, 2) Language, 3) Attitude. And measurement using a questionnaire using the Likert scale. From there Descriptive Test standard deviation is very large (more than 30% of the mean) showed a large variation or the existence of a considerable gap from the lowest score and the highest score. Based on the calculations above descriptive, known from the mean total score of social deprivation in the can that is 79.12 which is 64.85% of the total score of each item that is ideal 122. It can be concluded that the impact of deprivation Mitra Persada junior high school students is still relatively high. While the Mann-Whitney test concluded that there are significant differences in the characteristics of cultural deprivation boys and girls. And grade level provides a significant effect on cultural deprivation.

The purpose of this study is to describe the incidence of the shift from Javanese to Indonesian among children in the village of Sidoharjo. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method that is carried out to describe or provide an actual picture of the process of the shift in Javanese language in Sidoharjo Village, Air Salek District, Banyuasin Regency. This research is focused on three domains in everyday life. These three domains include the family realm, the educational realm, and the religious realm. Based on the three domains, it is produced that the shift in the use of Javanese against Indonesian occurs in these three domains with the following percentages, in the family domain the shift in Javanese to Indonesian is 78%, in the environmental realm it is 65%, and in the religious realm it is 50% . In conclusion, there has been a shift in the use of Javanese towards Indonesian with a fairly high percentage of more than 50% among children in Sidoharjo village, Banyuasin district. The communication between hearing and deaf people often referenced as difficult because of the lack of knowledge in Indonesian Sign Language (Bisindo). The stigma in the society is one of the reasons why hearing people is not easy to communicate with the deaf. In daily basis, deaf in Indonesia use Bisindo to communicate. The society needs to know how to speak the sign language in general so that the deaf could live an accessible language everywhere they needed to. Pusbisindo is the organization to advocate and research that has a role to do the campaign of the sign language. This research aims to find out how the attempt of Pusbisindo’s public relations to campaign the use of Indonesian Sign Language in society. This research uses descriptive study with a study case. Researcher did a interview, documentation, and literature review to gather the datas. The concepts used are communications, public relations, nonprofit organization, nonverbal communication, and Indonesian Sign Language. The result of this research is about the public relations activity on the social media, or collaboration with external parties, so the communication process can be direct. Pusbisindo’s media relations often raises the theme of inclusiveness. Komunikasi masyarakat dengar dengan teman Tuli seringkali masih terhambat karena keterbatasan pengetahuan mengenai Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia (Bisindo). Selain itu, stigma yang ada di masyarakat masih menjadi hambatan teman Tuli untuk mengakses komunikasi dengan mudah. Dalam kesehariannya, teman Tuli berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan Bisindo. Masyarakat luas perlu mengetahui penggunaan Bisindo secara umum untuk menciptakan lingkungan komunikasi yang dapat diakses oleh teman Tuli. Pusbisindo sebagai wadah riset dan advokasi berperan dalam menyuarakan penggunaan Bisindo tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui upaya public relations Pusbisindo dalam mengampanyekan penggunaan Bisindo di kalangan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi kasus melalui pengumpulan data, seperti wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah komunikasi, public relations, organisasi nirlaba, komunikasi nonverbal, dan Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini mengenai kegiatan public relations Pusbisindo dalam mengampanyekan penggunaan Bisindo melalui kelas Bisindo dan kerja sama yang dilakukan Pusbisindo dengan lembaga-lembaga serta universitas dalam pengajarannya. Pusbisindo juga aktif dalam kerja sama untuk menjadi pembicara di seminar-seminar. Selain itu, kerja sama dengan media juga terjalin dengan baik, khususnya dengan media yang aktif dalam menyuarakan inklusifitas. Media sosial Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, chat messenger, dan website menjadi saluran komunikasi yang digunakan Pusbisindo untuk menjalin komunikasi langsung dengan khalayak luas, didukung oleh komunitas-komunitas Tuli dari mulut ke mulut dalam kegiatan publikasinya. Pusbisindo juga mengadakan kegiatan atau acara webinar maupun event besar dalam merayakan Hari Bahasa Isyarat Internasional.

Globalization era will bring negative impact if it does not be treated properly, particularly for young generation. Most students do not know how to admire others, particularly when they interact with others. This condition can be witnessed in the use of the language use of students in SMK in Surakarta who still do not understand the proper style of Javanese language. This research aims to describe and explain about the phenomena of Javanese language style use of SMK in Surakarta. Data source is obtained from observation and in-depth interview. The result shows that there are still many mistaken use among the students. It is stimulated by the lack of habit of the students in using kromo inggil by parents, the lack of relationship among school, parents, and society. There is also the lack of educational model about appropriate unggah-ungguh basa. It shows that there is still found the use of mistake unggah-ungguh basa among students.Era globalisasi apabila tidak disikapi secara bijak akan membawa dampak negatif, utamanya bagi para pemuda. Banyak siswa yang tidak mengerti mengenai cara menghormati orang lain, utamanya ketika berinteraksi dengan mitra tutur. Hal ini terlihat dari penggunaan bahasa siswa di SMK di Surakarta yang masih belum memahami ragam bahasa Jawa yang baik dan benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai fenomena penggunaan ragam bahasa Jawa siswa SMK. Sumber data berupa penggunaan ragam bahasa Jawa di beberapa SMK di Surakarta. Proses pengambilan data dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan masih banyak kesalahan penggunaan ragam bahasa di kalangan siswa. Penyebabnya ialah siswa tidak dibiasakannya berbahasa krama inggil oleh orang tua, kurangya kerja sama antara pihak sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Juga belum adanya model pendidikan mengenai unggah-ungguh basa yang dirasa cocok. Dengan demikian, masih banyak ditemukan penggunaan unggah-ungguh basa yang keliru di kalangan siswa.

Unity in a society is the backbone of a nation's productivity and harmony. Therefore, in order to keep the country in a peaceful state, unity among races must be nurtured and maintained. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the strategy for enhancing the level of integration among (IPT) students. The methods of this study are quantitative research and the research question is to assess strategy for enhancing the level of integration among (IPT) students. This study was conducted through the dissemination of questionnaires and the sample consisted of local (IPT) students. A total of 1000 manuscripts were distributed and from that 478 manuscripts were returned and analyzed. This research found that most (IPT) students are on a medium level of understanding of the unity concept. In addition, this study found that these students lack the will to assimilate among them in totality which is the chief objective of the unity concept. Therefore, it is recommended that the cultivation of the spirit of unity must begin from as early as the family unit and also at the pre-school level. In addition, emphasis should also be given to the usage of the Malay language as the official language of unity and learning in the universities. It is also recommended that reforms must be made and that elements of national unity must be embedded in all university programs so that it will inculcate openness and acceptance among all citizens towards true national unity. Pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu Berasaskan Projek (PBMBP) merupakan pendekatan yang menekankan kemahiran berbahasa iaitu kemahiran mendengar, bertutur, membaca, dan menulis berdasarkan proses pelaksanaan bagi penghasilan produk. Reka bentuk kajian ini merupakan kajian tindakan yang melibatkan empat peringkat pelaksanaannya iaitu merancang, bertindak, memerhati dan merefleks. Instrumen kajian ini melibatkan kaedah pemerhatian secara langsung terhadap sampel kajian dan analisis dokumen. Dapatan kajian dianalisis secara deskriptif secara peratusan. Sampel kajian ini melibatkan seramai 28 orang murid tahun enam dari Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Jejawi, Teluk Intan, Perak. Tema bagi pelaksanaan PBMBP ini ialah “Pertanian dan Penternakan” berdasarkan buku teks Bahasa Melayu. Dapatan kajian mendapati semua kemahiran iaitu mendengar dan bertutur, dan membaca dan menulis mencatatkan purata peratus kenaikan tahap penguasaan murid yang terlibat. Melalui analisis dokumen yang dilakukan, kebanyakan murid dapat menghasilkan rumusan, memindahkan maklumat ke dalam bentuk grafik, menghasilkan karangan berformat dialog dan menghasilkan lirik lagu untuk dipersembahkan secara didik hibur. Kesimpulannya, PBMBP dapat meningkatkan tahap penguasaan murid dalam kemahiran berbahasa kerana mengutamakan kemahiran berbahasa sebagai medium proses penghasilan produk. Selain itu, PBMBP juga dapat memotivasikan murid untuk belajar secara aktif dan memupuk kerjasama ahli kumpulan untuk membantu rakan yang kurang mahir dalam kemahiran berbahasa melalui kaedah bantuan (scaffolding) selari dengan konsep konstruktivisme serta memberi keseronokan sewaktu belajar dalam kalangan murid kerana pada akhir projek dipersembahkan secara didik hibur melalui seni bahasa. Project-based Malay language learning (PBMBP)is an approach that emphasises language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, based on the process of producing products. This action research involves four stages of implementation: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research instrument consists of direct observation of the study sample and document analysis. The research findings are analysed descriptively in percentages. The study sample comprises 28 sixth-grade students from Sungai Jejawi National School, Teluk Intan, Perak. The theme for the PBMBP is based on the Malay language textbook "Agriculture and Animal Husbandry." The findings indicated the pupils improved proficiency levels for listening and speaking, reading, and writing skills. Document analysis found that most pupils could produce summaries, convert information into graphical form, create dialogue-based essays, and compose song lyrics for entertaining presentations. PBMBP enhances pupils’ language proficiency by prioritising language skills as a medium for product generation. PBMBP also motivates pupils to learn actively and fosters the cooperation of group members to help friends who are less proficient in language skills through scaffolding in line with the concept of constructivism. At the end of the project, it provided fun while learning because it was presented educationally and entertaining through language arts.

In the context of Indonesia's social complexity, disparities in access to education and legal information result in marginalized communities being vulnerable to injustice. This article discusses the importance of enhancing legal awareness among marginalized communities through collaboration between government institutions, educational organizations, and civil society organizations. Legal education is identified as the primary solution to address these challenges. This collaboration yields a combination of expertise, resources, and networks that overcome the barriers to implementing legal education programs. The program elaborates legal concepts in simple language, empowers marginalized communities, and helps them understand the legal implications of their actions. Trust in the legal system is also built through this program, encouraging active participation in legal processes and enforcement.

Abstrak Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan bagaimana kondisi kontak bahasa dan bilingualisme di Desa Ngenyan Asa, Kabupaten Kutai Barat yang dapat mempengaruhi kebertahanan hidup atau vitalitas bahasa Tunjung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik angket (kuesioner) dan wawancara. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dengan model interaktif yang terdiri atas reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, ditemukan adanya kontak bahasa antarpenutur di Ngenyan Asa, yaitu bahasa Tunjung dengan Benuaq, Melayu Kutai, Banjar, Jawa, dan Indonesia. Penyebabnya, yaitu perpindahan penduduk, adanya buruh atau pekerja dari suku lain, adanya hubungan budaya yang dekat (suku Tunjung dan Benuaq), dan adanya ‘kontak belajar’ di sekolah. Masyarakat penutur bahasa Tunjung di Desa Ngenyan Asa juga cenderung dwibahasawan atau bilingualisme. Mereka menguasai bahasa Tunjung, bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa Benuaq. Adanya kontak bahasa dan bilingualisme ini dapat mengancam vitalitas bahasa Tunjung. Bahasa Tunjung dapat tergeser oleh penggunaaan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa daerah lain yang dianggapnya lebih bergengsi, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda.Abstract This paper describes how the conditions of language contact and bilingualism in Ngenyan Asa Village, West Kutai district can affect the survival or vitality of the Tunjung language. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques with an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research and discussion, it was found that there were contact languages between speakers in Ngenyan Asa, namely Tunjung languages with Benuaq, Kutai Malay, Banjar, Javanese, and Indonesian. The reasons for this are the movement of the population, the existence of laborers or workers from other tribes, the existence of close cultural relations (the Tunjung and Benuaq tribes), and the 'learning contacts' at the school. The Tunjung language community in Ngenyan Asa Village also tends to be bilingual or bilingualism. They mastered Tunjung, Indonesian and Benuaq. The existence of language contact and bilingualism can threaten the vitality of the Tunjung language. The Tunjung language can be displaced by the use of Indonesian and other regional languages which it considers more prestigious, especially among the younger generation.

This paper describes the relationship between Islam and local culture. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the process and symbolic meaning of the marhabaan culture among Nahdlatul Ulama, precisely at Al-Quwwah Islamic Boarding School, Bandung City. The method used in this research is qualitative, which clearly defines various kinds of research procedures, so that it will produce descriptive data from what is observed in marhabaan cultural activities, both written and oral. This method aims to know and understand a phenomenon experienced by research subjects such as motives, behavior, opinions, interactions, language, actions, motivation and so on naturally by using various natural methods. The results of this study explain the marhabaan process from beginning to end, then explain the shaving of baby's hair, the symbolic meaning of banana, the symbolic meaning of menyan, the symbolic meaning of ulen (glutinous rice), the symbolic meaning of traditional cakes, and the symbolic meaning of water. All of this emphasizes that there is a traditional combination from the community between Islamic teachings and local culture.
