Um das Herstellungsspektrum in modernen Bearbeitungszentren zu erweitern, kommen vermehrt „intelligente“ Werkzeuge zum Einsatz, die eine zusätzliche Versorgung von Daten, Energie oder Medien benötigen. Eine Integration von Übertragungselementen in die Werkzeugspindel und die HSK-Schnittstelle soll eine Übertragung dieser Größen durch die Spindel ermöglichen. So soll ein Standard geschaffen werden, welcher die Anbindung von intelligenten Werkzeugen herstellerunabhängig zulässt.   In order to increase the spectrum of machining processes in machining centers, intelligent tools (so-called cyber-physical modules) which need an additional supply of data, energy and media are being used. By the integration of additional transmission elements to the hollow shaft taper interface it is aimed to realize a transmission via the spindle itself. Based on that, a new standard will be established, making it possible to use intelligent tools from all manufacturers in future.

In this study, to address the problems of multiple dimensions, large scales, complex tension resource scheduling, and strict quality control requirements in the tensioning process of cables in prestressed steel structures, the technical characteristics of digital twins (DTs) and artificial intelligence (AI) are analyzed. An intelligent tensioning of prestressed cables method driven by the integration of DTs and AI is proposed. Based on the current research status of cable tensioning and DTs, combined with the goal of intelligent tensioning, a fusion mechanism for DTs and AI is established and their integration to drive intelligent tensioning of prestressed cables technology is analyzed. In addition, the key issues involved in the construction of an intelligent control center driven by the integration of DTs and AI are discussed. By considering the construction elements of space and time dimensions, the tensioning process is controlled at multiple levels, thereby realizing the intelligent tensioning of prestressed cables. Driven by intelligent tensioning methods, the safety performance evaluation of the intelligent tensioning process is analyzed. Combined with sensing equipment and intelligent algorithms, a high-fidelity twin model and three-dimensional integrated data model are constructed to realize closed-loop control of the intelligent tensioning safety evaluation. Through the study of digital twins and artificial intelligence fusion to drive the intelligent tensioning method for prestressed cables, this study focuses on the analysis of the intelligent evaluation of safety performance. This study provides a reference for fusion applications with DTs and AI in intelligent tensioning of prestressed cables.

This paper presents IoH (Intelligence of Home), a platform developed to test some basic intelligent behaviors in Home context. Internet of Things, ambient intelligence and context awareness approaches motivated the development of IoH. The platform involves six layers, responsible by connectivity, persistency, unification, Internet of Things integration, subsystems integration and user interface. The integrated subsystems involve intelligent systems for light control, television brightness control, desk light control, persons counting and air conditioner control. The IoH platform is then tested for a real building, and results and conclusions are obtained. Different intelligent methods and technologies are used, form the use of a diversity of sensors, actuators, and controllers and processing units to a set of artificial intelligence approaches varying from machine learning and optimization algorithms to the use of sensor fusion and computer vision. The use of IoH day-by-day demonstrated an intelligent performance for the real building occupants.

As one of the basic manufacturing industries in China, injection molding industry is faced with the problems of low degree of informatization and intelligence, resulting in low production efficiency and high costs. It is urgent to integrate deeply with new generation of information technology to achieve transformation and upgrade. In this paper, an integrative industrial Internet architecture of “integration of intelligent equipment, intelligent production lines, intelligent workshops, intelligent factories, and intelligent formats” was described. The injection molding intelligent control system, the production management, control platform based on the MES system, and other key technologies were researched. Also, the smart factory architecture based on digital twin was established, and the implementation method of the smart factory digital twin system was elaborated. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method had been verified through the industrial application, which provided the technical supports for the injection molding industrial Internet system. Finally, the intelligent manufacturing industrial Internet cloud platform for injection molding industry was prospected.

Intelligent computer-assisted language learning (ICALL) is a multidisciplinary area of research that combines natural language processing (NLP), intelligent tutoring system (ITS), second language acquisition (SLA), and foreign language teaching and learning (FLTL). Intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) are able to provide a personalized approach to learning by assuming the role of a real teacher/expert who adapts and steers the learning process according to the specific needs of each learner. This article reviews and discusses the issues surrounding the development and use of ITSs for language learning and teaching. First, the authors look at ICALL history: its evolution from CALL. Second, issues in ICALL research and integration will be discussed. Third, they will explain how artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are being implemented in language education as ITS and intelligent language tutoring systems (ITLS). Finally, the successful integration and development of ITLS will be explained in detail.

Since the appearance of the Ambient Intelligence paradigm, as an evolution of the Ubiquitous Computing, a great deal of the research efforts in this ?eld have been mainly aimed at anticipating user actions and needs, out of a pre?xed set. However, Ambient Intelligence is not just constrained to user behaviour pattern matching, but to wisely supervise the whole environment, satisfying those unforeseen requirements or needs, by means of rational decisions. This work points at the lack of commonsense reasoning, as the main reason underlying the existance of these idiots savant systems, capable of accomplishing very speci?c and complex tasks, but incapable of making decisions out of the pre?xed behavioral patterns. This work advocates for the integration of the commonsense reasoning and understanding capabilities as the key elements in bridging the gap between idiot savant systems and real Ambient Intelligence systems.

Enterprise Application Integration is a new business solution by combining the existing applications. Most enterprises consider data integration is the first and most critical step of integrating information systems within the organization. This research proposes a multi-cloud framework that integrates the enterprise data of various sources through a message brokering mechanism. The major objective of this framework is to provide remote database access and data consistency among enterprise applications through the messaging mechanism base on enterprise data. To analyze the feasibility of the multi-clouds framework for integrating enterprise data, we implemented the proposed architecture and evaluated with simulation data. The simulation results present the completeness and correctness of the data integration process. Through this proposed framework, the enterprise information can integrate in a more efficient and effective way.

An intelligent hybrid approach has been developed to integrate various stages in total design, including formulation of product design specifications, conceptual design, detail design, and manufacture. The integration is achieved by blending multiple artificial intelligence (AI) techniques and CAD/CAE/CAM into a single environment. It has been applied into power transmission system design. In addition to knowledge-based systems and artificial neural networks, another AI technique, genetic algorithms (GAs), are involved in the approach. The GA is used to conduct optimization tasks: (1) searching the best combination of design parameters to obtain optimum design of gears, and (2) optimization of the architecture of the artificial neural networks used in the hybrid system. In this paper, after a brief overview of the intelligent hybrid system, the GA applications are described in detail.

Traditionally, most of this data tends to be non-transactional and non-identifiable. In this regard, there has not been much integration with transactional data that is collected, stored, analyzed, and reported through Business Intelligence (BI). Emerging trends in web analytics provide organizations the ability to aggregate and analyze web analytics data with transactional data to provide valuable insights for building better customer relationship strategies. In this paper, the authors give an overview of web analytics tools, key players, new technology trends and capabilities to integrate web analytics with BI so organizations can leverage intelligent analytics for new marketing initiatives. While the benefits are significant, there are some challenges associated with the integration and a few possible solutions to address.

The evolution and application of intelligence have been discussed from perspectives of life, control theory and artificial intelligence. However, there has been no consensus on understanding the evolution of intelligence. In this study, we propose a Tri-X Intelligence (TI) model, aimed at providing a comprehensive perspective to understand complex intelligence and the implementation of intelligent systems. In this work, the essence and evolution of intelligent systems (or system intelligentization) are analyzed and discussed from multiple perspectives and at different stages (Type I, Type II and Type III), based on a Tri-X Intelligence model. Elemental intelligence based on scientific effects (e.g., conscious humans, cyber entities and physical objects) is at the primitive level of intelligence (Type I). Integrated intelligence formed by two-element integration (e.g., human-cyber systems and cyber-physical systems) is at the normal level of intelligence (Type II). Complex intelligence formed by ternary-interaction (e.g., a human-cyber-physical system) is at the dynamic level of intelligence (Type III). Representative cases are analyzed to deepen the understanding of intelligent systems and their future implementation, such as in intelligent manufacturing. This work provides a systematic scheme, and technical supports, to understand and develop intelligent systems.

This article adopts the 612 national-level new engineering research and practice projects released by China in 2018 that involve the integration of new engineering and wisdom education in universities and colleges that also implement the integration of the two in addition to the New Engineering Research and Practice Project,A total of 80 colleges and universities practice samples as research objects,With the help of the grounded theory system, a fusion model consisting of 755 original sentences, 77 concepts, 25categories, 7main categories, and 3 core categories-the TCG model. Intelligence is one of the most important subjects in information and electronics systems. In many applications such as multi media systems, home electronics systems, factory automation systems, security systems and aerospace systems, advanced intelligent processing technologies are more required to be developed as shown in Figure. There are two approaches to increase intelligence, although they are closely related each other and may not be separable. One is an algorithm-based approach to directly increase intelligence quality. The other is a computational-power-based approach to directly increase processing performance. Even if a single operation is very simple, its repeated operations often make the processing intelligent. The problem is how to increase the computational power. It is obvious that software acceleration using general-purpose microprocessors has some limitation. Therefore, special acceleration using newly developed chips is one of the most important solutions. In particular, real-world applications need to achieve very quick response for dynamically changing real-world environment. Therefore, special-purpose processors and special-purpose accelerators or engines, are essential to make the above applications realistic. Another words, ""to realize high speed processing intelligence"" On the other hand, solid-state circuits technology enabling single-chip systems have rapid advancement resulting in dramatic improvements in both performance and cost oer function. In fact, one-giga-bit DRAMs, ten SPECint95 microprocessors containing ten million transistors are being developed by recent VLSI technology. It is no more a dream to develop practical special processors using the recent VLSI technology. Moreover, new architecture and new concept circuits have been actively studied for the next-generation integration technology. From the above point of view, this special issue was planned to demonstrate the above important area. Especially, intelligent robot is a typical class of applications, soits intelligence technology makes also any other application promising. With the bottlenecks of traditional manufacturing technology becoming increasingly prominent, manufacturing industry need to adjust and upgrade the industrial structure, and intelligent manufacturing is the future development direction of manufacturing industry. According to the characteristics of complex, open system hierarchy structure and distributed multi agent of intelligent manufacturing, in order to solve the problem of information integration and collaborative processing of the organic elements of intelligent manufacturing collaborative perception process, it is necessary to give the autonomy of intelligent manufacturing entities to make it to form a fully functional agent, and these agents are connected to the communication network as a network node, so as to realize the data sharing and collaborative awareness processing function between the intelligent manufacturing body. Therefore, this article build the intelligent manufacturing system based the multi Agent and Storm-Hadoop distributed cluster framework through the research and analysis of distributed artificial intelligence and distributed cluster mechanism, and provides a collaborative framework based on multi Agent and Storm-Hadoop for information integration, data sharing, collaborative processing of collaboration awareness problem for multi manufacturing subjects of intelligent manufacturing. The simulation results shows that the cooperative sensing framework proposed in this paper can provide an effective information, data and knowledge processing mechanism and method for realizing multi subject intelligent manufacturing collaborative awareness.

System integration has been the goal for both academicians and practitioners for more than two decades. Tremendous efforts have been made toward the achievement of a unifying theory or at least a framework in system integration. Unfortunately, the goal has not been achieved because of the dynamic nature of the subject. The purpose of this paper is to conduct a systematic analysis of the related subjects in system integration and to develop a framework which can be used to guide researchers and practitioners in system integration development. Traditional data modelling techniques and knowledge representation methodologies will be reviewed first. Major emphasis will be placed on object-oriented system integration and hybrid knowledge representation methods for developing an integrated intelligent decision system for next generation decision making.

The paper introduces an Intelligent Terminal which is based on the embedded technology to address the low degree of integration and intelligence of the current Health Collection Information Terminal. The new terminal adopts the design of the structure and function integrating method to integrate six health parameter measuring functions in one suit, including Electrocardiogram (ECG), Respiratory Rate, Blood Oxygen, Body Temperature, Blood Pressure and Pulse) , which is easy to carry. The additional interpersonal interfaces like storage, printer, monitor, communication and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) enhance the new terminals intelligence degree. It could be widely applied in the situations of hospital, community, disaster relief and military.

Ontology library is one of the cores of the intelligent IETM system; it is widely used in intelligent information retrieve, e-business, and network collaboration. Information retrieval and graphical representation of follow-up operation should be based on the ontology, many applications require the integrated query from related information resources, which arises the problem of semantic interoperation in heterogeneous information resources. There are many complex factors in integrating them, because different ontology creators adopt different semantics from his individual view. This paper proposes the framework of ontology integration though analyzing the problems in the process of ontology integration. The application results show that the proposed cycle evolution of ontology construction method to solve the IETM domain ontology building and storage problems.

In recent years, intelligent medical communication technology has developed rapidly, and the advancement of hardware technology has accelerated the development of software technology. Physical exercise breaks the limits of all aspects of the human body and requires scientific and reliable information. Industrial cameras realize collection and high-resolution image processing functions and use artificial intelligence to create conditions for collecting scientific data. With the powerful driving force of artificial intelligence, it is believed that physical education will develop to a new height. The intellectualization of physical education makes people expect that it will also bring some inevitable problems, but as long as we continue to overcome and improve, we believe that artificial intelligence will better serve physical education and benefit mankind. Artificial intelligence is the current trend of social development. This paper takes physical education as a breakthrough point to discuss the application of artificial intelligence in physical education. This paper uses the grey GM prediction model and questionnaire survey method to build an online education platform and develop an effective education model, which can integrate the country’s best educational resources and reduce time and space constraints. Providing a relaxing learning environment for education, one can learn anytime, anywhere. In a typical physical education system, the average self-efficacy score is converted from 20.48 points to 68.37 points, and the average self-score of physical education in the integrated artificial intelligence environment is converted from 30.25 points to 75.54 points. The data show that the quality of education has greatly improved.

Modern introductory courses on AI do not train students to create intelligent systems or provide broad coverage of this complex field. In this paper, we identify problems with common approaches to teaching artificial intelligence and suggest alternative principles that courses should adopt instead. We illustrate these principles in a proposed course that teaches students not only about component methods, such as pattern matching and decision making, but also about their combination into higher-level abilities for reasoning, sequential control, plan generation, and integrated intelligent agents. We also present a curriculum that instantiates this organization, including sample programming exercises and a project that requires system integration. Participants also gain experience building knowledge-based agents that use their software to produce intelligent behavior.

AbstractPlant and animal species are information-processing entities of such complexity, integration, and adaptive competence that it may be scientifically fruitful to consider them intelligent. The possibility arises from the analogy between learning (in organisms) and evolution (in species), and from recent developments in evolutionary science, psychology and cognitive science. Species are now described as spatiotemporally localized individuals in an expanded hierarchy of biological entities. Intentional and cognitive abilities are now ascribed to animal, human, and artificial intelligence systems that process information adaptively, and that manifest problem-solving abilities. The structural and functional similarities between such systems and species are extensive, although they “are usually obscured by population-genetic metaphors that have nonetheless contributed much to our understanding of evolution.In this target article, I use Sewall Wright's notion of the “adaptive landscape” to compare the performances of evolving species to those of intelligent organisms. With regard to their adaptive achievements and the kinds of processes by which they are achieved, biological species compare very favorably to intelligent animals by virtue of interactions between populations and their environments, between ontogeny and phylogeny, and between natural, interdemic, organic, and species selection. Addressing the question of whether species are intelligent could help to refine our ideas about species, evolution, and intelligence, and could open new lines of empirical and theoretical inquiry in many disciplines.

Based on the analysis of thickness control theory, a controller combined fuzzy neural network with intellectual integration was designed in consideration of the nonlinear, large time delay, varying time characteristics of tandem cold mill thickness control. The controller adopted three layers BP network to realize fuzzy control and linked with intelligent integration in parallel for forming a three-dimensional full intelligent composite controller which enables the cold tandem rolling thickness fuzzy neural network control based on intelligent integration. Simulation results show that, compared with the conventional PID control, the compound intelligent control strategy can remarkable improved performance of control system of cold tandem rolling thickness.
