Resumen
Modern society receives a relatively big part of information using information communication devices. Information search possibilities are rapidly growing. On the other hand, the amount of information itself is expanding. One of the quickest ways of finding information is using internet search engines, e.g., “Google”, “Yahoo”, “AltaVista” and others. Their usage undoubtedly makes big influence on education. Pupils’ ability to find the necessary information is highly relevant. Thus, information search literacy is an inseparable component of general education. It is not enough only to find information, it is necessary to use it in the most effective way. Seeking to improve pupils’ information skills, it is necessary to know current position of an analysed question. The object of this research is information search using ICT. The aim of the research is to analyse how comprehensive school upper class students use ICT for information search. It has been ascertained by a research what additional information sources pupils use, where and how they get necessary literature, what information search engines and what electronic information sources they use most frequently. At least a few times per week apart from textbooks respondents use other literature as well (books, dictionaries, handbooks) for learning purposes. They use encyclopaedias very seldom or don’t use them at all. Pupils usually read books and newspapers which they have at home. They also use internet and library service; however, it is not popular to borrow books from friends or buy them. Pupils use internet daily both for leisure and learning. Girls more often than boys use internet for learning and for leisure – they use it equally. Respondents usually search information through Google search engine, less frequently – through Delfi. The other search engines and catalogues mentioned in the questionnaire are used very seldom, especially HotBot, Penki, On.lt and others. Both girls and boys, town and region pupils equally use search engines and catalogues. From electronic information sources respondents most frequently use internet encyclopaedia Wikipedia. Internet books and e magazines are read once a month on average, virtual library is scarcely used. It is absolutely not popular to use such sources as Nerandu.lt, tingiu.lt, Speros.lt. Key words: comprehensive school, electronic information sources, ICT, information search.

Information communication technologies (ICT) at present are influencing every aspect of human life. They are playing salient roles in work places, business, education, and entertainment. Moreover, many people recognize ICTs as catalysts for change; change in working conditions, handling and exchanging information, teaching methods, learning approaches, scientific research, and in accessing information communication technologies. In this digital era, ICT use in the classroom is important for giving students opportunities to learn and apply the required 21st century skills. ICT improves teaching and learning and its importance for teachers in performing their role of creators of pedagogical environments. ICT helps of a teacher to present his teaching attractively and able to learn for the learners at any level of educational programmes. Today in India teaching training programmes making useful and attractive by the term of ICT. Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) exemplified by the internet and interactive multimedia are obviously an important focus for future education and need to be effectively integrated into formal teaching and learning – especially in a teacher education institution.

Resumen
In the present era of technology it has been simpler to deal with the disaster both natural and man made. Disaster Management activities rely upon substantial volumes of precise, applicable, on-time geo information that different organization systematically make and maintain. Information Technology is changing each part of human life. Disaster management desires forceful enhancements in its sources to decrease injury and save the lifetime of individuals. The advanced methods of information technology such as web, remote sensing, satellite communication, GIS, etc. can facilitate in coming up with and implementation of disaster management. Web provides a useful platform for disaster mitigation communications. On GIS is basic as effective preparedness, communication and training tool for disaster management on the other hand Remote Sensing as a tool can very effectively contribute towards identification of hazards areas. Communication satellite have become vital for providing emergency communication and timely help into natural disaster monitoring and mitigation mechanisms is critical for hazards reduction. There should be more emphasis on development of new technologies in disaster mitigation. The disaster preparedness and awareness is the only effective method of mitigating the impact of future disaster. In this paper an attempt has been made to highlight the role of information technology in management of natural disaster in Nepal.

Resumen
The article examines risks and threats when using information and communication technologies. The purpose of the study is to identify the main types of risks and threats when storing data in the cloud. To achieve this goal, a set of measures to form the foundations of cybersecurity has been identified. It is emphasized that, taking into account today's challenges, not only cyber literacy of information and communication technology users is required, but also coordination and reorientation of research in the field of computer development, because new generations of software and hardware must guarantee the security of activities and compliance with the principle of confidentiality of private, business or state information. The methodological aspects of the study take into account the concept of identifying patterns of the emergence of new risks and threats to information and cyber security in modern conditions of rapid development of information technologies. The work used a set of interrelated scientific methods, in particular: dialectical, comparative analysis and logical when studying the essence of threats to information security in modern conditions of uncertainty and risk; empirical research method when comparing the features of the provision of cloud services by IT services; systematic approach when identifying a set of measures to form the foundations of cybersecurity. The scientific novelty lies in an integrated approach to studying the essence of risks and threats to information and cyber security in the context of the rapid development of information and communication technologies and when using cloud services. As a result of the theoretical study, risks and threats to cyber security were identified. It is emphasized that the operational identification of new types of threats and risks, the determination of their key characteristics will contribute to the delineation of their essential properties, the development of algorithms for their analysis and methods for managing them.

Resumen
Information Communication Technology (ICT) has penetrated into the teaching of English as a foreign language (EFL) around the world, not to mention in Morocco. However, due to some obstacles faced in its implementation, its effectiveness needs to be improved. This paper is intended to explore the potentials of ICT to be used in EFL classes in Morocco and how to prepare teachers to be ready in incorporating the ICT in their language teaching. The potentials cover, among others, what multimedia resources are available, how to make use of them and how ICT becomes the tools to develop student's English language skills. As the teachers' role is very significant, they should get professional development training in ICT for education

Resumen
Discipline management is critically important in learning institutions; hence the research article seeks to assess the influence of Information Communication Technology (hereafter, ICT) in enhancing students’ discipline management in Nyandarua North sub-county. Four objectives guided the research study: to establish the influence of ICT on students’ attendance discipline, prep time discipline, students’ class properties discipline and students’ examination discipline. It is anchored on behavioral theory, as guided by Kounin’s model of 1976 ‘with-it-ness,’ which describes the teacher’s alertness on the class ongoing at all times; and Epstein’s theory of 1991 - on overlapping sphere of influence, and which distinguishes an interdependent view of school-family-community influences - from what could be considered as a separate view of influence. The conceptual framework shows application of ICT indicators and the discipline managed, and the intervening variables. The research article employed a mixed method approach. The data was analyzed using thematic analysis techniques and its findings are presented analytically. School principals who had integrated ICT were key targets of the research; and a sample of ten schools was purposefully selected. Its finding is that ICT integration influenced discipline management positively in Nyandarua North Sub-County. The study recommends a further study to be carried out by using inferential statistics.

Resumen
This is the age of information communication and technology. It has controlled everyday's work of people. Without it, people now-a-day feel themselves completely isolated. From the very beginning of the day, people use it as the mainstay of their daily affairs. This study investigates the utilization of ICT tools in educational settings focusing on the ICT resources commonly employed for classroom teaching and to explore the challenges faced by both teachers and students. It has used the descriptive survey research design to outline the overall strategy and procedures for data collection and analysis consisting of 83 students and 25 teachers as the sample and observation notes and open-ended questions as the tools. The study concludes that teachers require adequate training, resources, and support to successfully implement ICT-based instruction and become more capable, professional educators, equipped to address the global challenges of teaching ICT in modern classrooms. For teacher education programs to effectively prepare educators for the demands of the 21st century, they must prioritize competitiveness, competence, and skill development, with ICT playing a central role.
