Resumen
ABSTRACT Despite their large impact on stellar and galactic evolution, the properties of outflows from red supergiants are not well characterized. We used the Onsala 20m telescope to perform a spectral survey at 3 and 4 mm (68–116 GHz) of the red supergiant NML Cyg, alongside the yellow hypergiant IRC + 10420. Our observations of NML Cyg were combined with complementary archival data to enable a search for signatures of morphological complexity in the circumstellar environment, using emission lines from 15 molecular species. The recovered parameters imply the presence of three distinct, coherent, and persistent components, comprised of blue-shifted and red-shifted components, in addition to an underlying outflow centred at the stellar systemic velocity. Furthermore, to reproduce 12CO emission with 3D radiative transfer models required a spherical outflow with three superposed conical outflows, one towards and one away from the observer, and one in the plane of the sky. These components are higher in density than the spherical outflow by up to an order of magnitude. We hence propose that NML Cyg’s circumstellar environment consists of a small number of high-density large-scale coherent outflows embedded in a spherical wind. This would make the mass-loss history similar to that of VY CMa, and distinct from μ Cep, where the outflow contains many randomly distributed smaller clumps. A possible correlation between stellar properties, outflow structures, and content is critical in understanding the evolution of massive stars and their environmental impact.

Resumen
With the growing concerns of standby power in sub-100-nm CMOS technologies, alternative computing techniques and memory technologies are explored. Spin transfer torque magnetoresistive RAM (STT-MRAM) is one such nonvolatile memory relying on magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) to store information. It uses spin transfer torque to write information and magnetoresistance to read information. In 2012, Everspin Technologies, Inc. commercialized the first 64Mbit Spin Torque MRAM. On the computing end, nanomagnetic logic (NML) is a promising technique with zero leakage and high data retention. In 2000, Cowburn and Welland first demonstrated its potential in logic and information propagation through magnetostatic interaction in a chain of single domain circular nanomagnetic dots of Supermalloy ( Ni 80 Fe 14 Mo 5 X 1, X is other metals). In 2006, Imre et al. demonstrated wires and majority gates followed by coplanar cross wire systems demonstration in 2010 by Pulecio et al. Since 2004 researchers have also investigated the potential of MTJs in logic. More recently with dipolar coupling between MTJs demonstrated in 2012, logic-in-memory architecture with STT-MRAM have been investigated. The architecture borrows the computing concept from NML and read and write style from MRAM. The architecture can switch its operation between logic and memory modes with clock as classifier. Further through logic partitioning between MTJ and CMOS plane, a significant performance boost has been observed in basic computing blocks within the architecture. In this work, we have explored the developments in NML, in MTJs and more recent developments in hybrid MTJ/CMOS logic-in-memory architecture and its unique logic partitioning capability.

Resumen
For moduli spaces of sheaves with symmetric $c_{1}$ on a quadric surface, we pursue analogy to some results known for moduli spaces of sheaves on a projective plane. We define an invariant height, introduced by Drezet in the projective plane case, for moduli spaces of sheaves with symmetric $c_{1}$ on a quadric surface and describe the structure of moduli spaces of height zero. Then we study rational maps of moduli spaces of positive height to moduli spaces of representation of quivers, effective cones of moduli spaces, and strange duality for height-zero moduli spaces.

Resumen
In this paper, the coupling strength G of the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model is modified by incorporating quark’s feedback into the gluon propagator. The modified two-flavor NJL model with the quark-dependent coupling strength is explored. The quark condensate in this framework has a conspicuous agreement with the lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) results at finite temperature. Then, it is compared with the original NJL model in both zero (chiral limit) and nonzero current quark mass. The QCD phase diagram and susceptibilities are investigated in the temperature–chemical potential [Formula: see text] plane. Therefore, the pseudo-critical temperature [Formula: see text] and the critical end point (CEP) are worked out and compared with original NJL model or lattice QCD results. In addition, the pion mass and decay constant are studied at finite temperature.

Resumen
AbstractIn this article, we study the two-flavor Nambu and Jona-Lasinio (NJL) phase diagrams on the T–μ plane through three regularization methods. In one of these, we introduce an infrared three-momentum cutoff in addition to the usual ultraviolet regularization to the quark loop integrals and compare the obtained phase diagrams with those obtained from the NJL model with proper time regularization and Pauli–Villars regularization. We have found that the crossover appears as a band with a well-defined width in the T–μ plane. To determine the extension of the crossover zone, we propose a novel criterion, comparing it to another criterion that is commonly reported in the literature; we then obtain the phase diagrams for each criterion. We study the behavior of the phase diagrams under all these schemes, focusing on the influence of the regularization procedure on the crossover zone and the presence or absence of critical end points.

Resumen
We introduce the Hurwitz-type spectral zeta functions for the quantum Rabi models, and give their meromorphic continuation to the whole complex plane with only one simple pole at $s=1$. As an application, we give the Weyl law for the quantum Rabi models. As a byproduct, we also give a rationality of Rabi–Bernoulli polynomials introduced in this paper.

We give a classification of Levi-umbilical real hypersurfaces in a complex space form $\widetilde{M}_{n}(c)$, $n\geqslant 3$, whose Levi form is proportional to the induced metric by a nonzero constant. In a complex projective plane $\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^{2}$, we give a local construction of such hypersurfaces and moreover, we give new examples of Levi-flat real hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^{2}$.

Resumen
A fast and sensitive voltammetric method has been proposed for the determination of salbutamol at single-walled-carbon-nanotube-modified edge-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (SWNT/EPPGE) in human urine. The electrochemical response of salbutamol was determined by square wave voltammetry (SWV) in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) at physiological pH 7.2. The modified electrode showed improved voltammetric response towards the oxidation of salbutamol, and a well-defined anodic peak was observed at~600 mV with enhanced peak current in comparison to the bare electrode. Linear calibration plot using SWNT/EPPGE was obtained in the concentration range of 50 to 2500 ngml-1with sensitivity and detection limit of 2.15 nA/ngml-1and 4.31 ngml-1, respectively. The developed method has been successfully applied for the determination of salbutamol in commercial preparations and human body fluids. Fast analysis of salbutamol in human urine makes the proposed method of great interest for doping control purposes at the site of competitive games.

Resumen
Highly in-plane aligned α-axis YBa2Cu3O7−x thin films deposited on (100) LaSrGaO4 substrates by a self-template method were studied by high-resolution electron microscopy along three orthogonal 〈100〉 axes of the substrate. Plan-view images confirm that the majority of the film preferentially aligns across the entire substrate except for very few misaligned domains with average size 10 nm2. Cross-sectional images along the [100] orientation of YBa2Cu3O7−x reveal that in-plane aligned α-axis YBa2Cu3O7−x is grown on a template layer dominated by c-axis oriented film. This strongly suggests that the in-plane alignment of α-axis YBa2Cu3O7−x thin films on (100) LaSrGaO4 substrates is governed by the different stresses along the b and c axes of the substrate. Cross-sectional images along [001] of the YBa2Cu3O7—x thin film reveal that the 90° domains easily nucleate in the region between α-axis YBa2Cu3O7—x and the YBa4Cu3Ox phase. Cracks along the (001) plane of YBa2Cu3O7−x are found to be due to the large mismatch between the c parameters of the thin film and substrate.

Resumen
Introduction Transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block is a simple and effective technique of providing analgesia for lower abdominal surgeries with easily identifiable landmarks. This study investigated the postoperative analgesic efficacy of bilateral ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane blocks, in patients undergoing caesarean delivery at Paropakar Maternity and Women's Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal. Methods Seventy-four patients undergoing caesarean section under spinal anesthesia were randomized to receive TAP block with bupivacaine (n =37) versus no TAP group (n =37), in addition to analgesia with intravenous paracetamol 1gram 6 hourly. At the end of the surgery, an ultrasound-guided TAP block was given bilaterally using 0.25% bupivacaine or no TAP block. Each patient was assessed postoperatively at regular intervals up to 24 hours for numerical pain rating scale and requirement of pethidine. SPSS version 20.0 software was used. Demographic data were analyzed using Student’s t-test and Mann–Whitney U-test. Results The TAP block with bupivacaine compared with no TAP group reduced the postoperative numerical pain rating scale. The time to first analgesic demand time was shorter in the control group (79.05±26.99) minutes compared to the bupivacaine group (416.75±87.29) minutes (P <0.05) which was statically significant. The 24 hours pethidine requirement was less in the bupivacaine group (P<0.05). There were no complications attributable to the TAP block. Conclusions Bilateral ultrasound-guided TAP block significantly reduced postoperative pethidine consumption in 24 hours after cesarean delivery.

Resumen
In this paper, we show that the cohomology of a general stable bundle on a Hirzebruch surface is determined by the Euler characteristic provided that the first Chern class satisfies necessary intersection conditions. More generally, we compute the Betti numbers of a general stable bundle. We also show that a general stable bundle on a Hirzebruch surface has a special resolution generalizing the Gaeta resolution on the projective plane. As a consequence of these results, we classify Chern characters such that the general stable bundle is globally generated.

Resumen
Erector Spinae Block is a paraspinal musculofascial plane block where we inject local anesthetics superficial to the tip of the transverse processes and deep to the erector spinae muscle .It works at the origin of spinal nerves based on cadaveric and contrast study. It is effective and safe regional anesthetic technique. It has a wide variety of applications ranging from acute postoperative pain treatment to chronic pain management. In this series, we report a series of two cases, which include postoperative pain management in Partial Nephrectomy and chronic pain management in Post Herpetic Neuralgia. Keywords: Analgesia; erector spinae block; regional.

Resumen
The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound was determined by X-ray analysis. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Ccc2, with cell parameters a = 3.773(3), b = 1.404(11), c = 0.6962(6) nm, V = 3.687 nm3, and Z = 8. The main factors determining stereochemistry of the complex are intramolecular hydrophobic stacking interaction between the methylene hydrogens of the out-of-plane R1 ring and the aromatic ring of the phenyl group, and the nonbonding van der Waals interactions between the methylene hydrogens of the central ethylenediamine (E), in-plane glycinate (G) and R rings as well as of the hydrogens of the phenyl group. The observed stereospecific coordination is due to an energy preference for the equatorially located phenyl group on the E ring.

Resumen
Color superconductivity of QCD at finite density, temperature and flavor asymmetry is studied within an approximation where the interaction is modeled upon four-fermion interactions. We calculate the thermodynamic potential in the so-called NJL-type model and study the phase structure at finite density, temperature and flavor asymmetry. We find that a mixed phase appears at sufficiently large flavor asymmetry and low temperature. A tricritical point in the T–μB–μI plane is also found.
