Texto completoTraditionally, civil state and individual will are two antinomies concepts. The component of civil state could not be subject to amendment. Yet, the content of civil state could not break away the increasing thrall of the individual will, which involve itself progressively in, impacting its various components. Civil state, seeming unprepared to the arriving of this new piece of data, has to transform itself. It renews itself indeed by its nature of law and order as well as by its social designation function and from now on integrates the individual will. Therefore, the definition of civil state assumes a realization by integrating the concept of identity which is more fitted since it takes in consideration the objective aspect of the social identification implying a definite constancy and the subjective aspect allowing the amendment which will enable the achievement of a balance between self-interests and social interests

Texto completoIn sheep, mother-young relationships are characterized by a close contact between the two partners depending on multimodal inter-individual recognition that is critical for lamb survival. The aim of the present work was to analyze the establishment of acoustic communication between the ewe and her lamb between parturition and Day 15 of lactation and to identify the physical parameters used in the recognition of vocalizations in the ewe and the lamb. Our results indicate that vocal communication is very important for the maintenance of recognition between the ewe and her lamb at a distance at 48 hours after parturition. Our studies also demonstrate that the encoding of the individual signature is not limited to the frequency domain but rather involves a multidimensional encoding process. Finally, they underline the importance of the behavioural and physiological context (suckling behaviour) for the establishment and display of inter-individual acoustic recognition

Texto completoWith the wide-spread installation of cameras in urban areas, this thesis deals with an automatic people identification by appearance and gait. This recognition requires robust descriptors to represent and discriminate each person despite the appearance variations caused by changing view point, lighting or way of moving (speed, carrying a bag…). The first part, dedicated to appearance identification, proposes a new similarity measure using intra and inter-person information with regional color histograms. A comparative study shows the efficiency of this representation to overcome the lighting and pose variations. The recognition rate is then improved by merging the most robust appearance descriptors. The second part is focused on gait recognition by distinguishing lateral and frontal points of view. For lateral observation, a pedestrian is characterized by several spatio-temporal variations of some articulated points of the legs. While, the motion of global silhouette is analyzed using a binary envelope map (RED) and a gray levels frequency map (RFD) in frontal point of view. Experimental test prove that those descriptors provide good performances compared to other state-of-art approaches, and that merging descriptors always improves the recognition rate. The last part introduces an identification system coupling appearance and gait. This merging approach is evaluated on a video sequences database including large points of view and lighting variations. It provides a good compromise between efficiency and processing time for application in video surveillance

Texto completoWith the recent revolution in genomics and in stratified medicine, the development of molecular signatures is becoming more and more important for predicting the prognosis (prognostic biomarkers) and the treatment effect (predictive biomarkers) of each patient. However, the large quantity of information has rendered false positives more and more frequent in biomedical research. The high-dimensional space (i.e. number of biomarkers ≫ sample size) leads to several statistical challenges such as the identifiability of the models, the instability of the selected coefficients or the multiple testing issue. The aim of this thesis was to propose and evaluate statistical methods for the identification of these biomarkers and the individual predicted survival probability for new patients, in the context of the Cox regression model. For variable selection in a high-dimensional setting, the lasso penalty is commonly used. In the prognostic setting, an empirical extension of the lasso penalty has been proposed to be more stringent on the estimation of the tuning parameter λ in order to select less false positives. In the predictive setting, focus has been given to the biomarker-by-treatment interactions in the setting of a randomized clinical trial. Twelve approaches have been proposed for selecting these interactions such as lasso (standard, adaptive, grouped or ridge+lasso), boosting, dimension reduction of the main effects and a model incorporating arm-specific biomarker effects. Finally, several strategies were studied to obtain an individual survival prediction with a corresponding confidence interval for a future patient from a penalized regression model, while limiting the potential overfit. The performance of the approaches was evaluated through simulation studies combining null and alternative scenarios. The methods were also illustrated in several data sets containing gene expression data in breast cancer

Texto completoAlveolar echinococcosis remains an expanding zoonosis despite improved sanitary measures, changing dietary habits and decreasing populations in the most at-risk socio-economic categories. Environmental contamination with Echinococcus multilocularis, the parasite responsible for this zoonosis, and the risk of infection for humans depend on the distribution of carnivore faeces, as definitive hosts of the parasite. This study aimed to characterise the contribution of foxes, dogs and cats to environmental contamination with E. multilocularis in endemic area. The presence of E. multilocularis eggs was confirmed most significantly in fox faeces. Furthermore, our studies demonstrated local spatial heterogeneity in the exposure risk to E. multilocularis eggs via fox faeces, which represents a key parameter in the local transmission of the parasite. In addition, investigation of soil contamination with E. multilocularis in vegetable gardens suggests that E. multilocularis eggs could persist for at least one year after the disappearance of faeces carrying the parasite. Individual contribution of foxes to environmental contamination with E. multilocularis was explored by genotyping their faeces with microsatellite markers. Among infested foxes, we identified a few individuals (35%) that deposited the majority of faeces tested positive for E. multilocularis (60%). Finally, the identification of EmsB genetic profiles of E. multilocularis eggs isolated from definitive host faeces suggests transmission of the parasite from foxes, then considered as a local reservoir, to dogs and cats via predation of the local rodent population. The whole study demonstrates the major role of the sylvatic cycle perpetuated by foxes in maintaining the synanthropic cycle of the parasite. It seems then measures to control E. multilocularis abundance in the field must necessarily cover the territory of fox individuals that are super-spreaders for the parasite in order to s ucceed in interrupting the local cycle of the parasite

Texto completoImmigration continue to be of interest to researchers in the variety of the situations which recovers and the multiplicity of the reflections which it feeds It is thus regarded as a field of investigation appropriate to explore the issue of identity through various aspects. Children of North African immigration are one of the largest foreign communities in France. Moreover, we can not conceive of a construction of an individual identity of these children without considering the specificities of the social environments within which they are required to fulfill themselves. We remind that our thesis joins in psychology of the development. Our work is a contribution to the theoretical model of a plural socialisation based on the seminal work of Malrieu, articulating the process of building the individual and the process of social change, the mutual structuring of the subject and institutions.Hence, we analysed the reference systems of these children and their relationship with their sociocultural host in the leisure centre. We chose a qualitative method that focuses on a thematic analysis: semi-structured interviews with children and the facilitators, and individual and collective observations of the children. We interviewed 15 leaders from 3 leisure centres and interviewed and observed (individually and collectively) 15 children from these same centres. Our results show that children of 7-8 year olds from North African immigration have a positive representation of the values of the facilitator and the institution. They usually appropriated the universal values promoted in the centre (respect, listening, sharing ...) that intersect with the values passed on by their families. However, this does not exclude certain sensitivities towards the institutional framework, firmer than that of the children’s family, considered more flexible by children themselves. This representation of other's values and the institution affects the children's individual identity construction. After all we were able to show a process of interbreeding of the models proposed to the children so leading to new images of one integrating those waited or proposed by models of backgrounds in interactions and others tested, experimented, invented and co-built inside new modes to think and to act (those involved to the interactions with the peers for example)

Texto completoIn order to not exceed the environmental planetary boundaries and ensure a good life for future generations, the food systems have to be sustainable. This thesis proposes to assess the sustainability of dietary patterns by integrating environmental, economic or socio-cultural and nutrition indicators. This thesis is based on data from the NutriNet-Santé cohort and those collected in the BioNutriNet project. In particular, during the BioNutriNet project data on the environmental impacts of food production by distinguishing between organic and conventional production methods, as well as food prices by also distinguishing production methods and places of purchase were collected. We proposed three approaches to evaluate the sustainability of dietary patterns within the cohort: an approach based on greenhouse gas emissions related to the production of diets, a more exploratory approach leading to a typology and finally an a priori approach consisting of creating an index to assess the sustainability of French diets. In a second step, we assessed the associations between diets identified as sustainable and the risk of obesity, overweight, cancer and/or cardiovascular disease and with body weight gain. Finally, from the data, we proposed more or less conservative solutions for sustainable diets using optimization. We were able to identify different dietary patterns according to their sustainability. The approach chosen has little impact on the structure of the most sustainable diets. The proportion of food groups in these most sustainable diets were almost 50% fruit and vegetables, 15% starch, 10% dairy products, 3% meat and 2% fish, and 4% soybean products. The most important difference between the three approaches relies on the contribution of organic foods to diets. We have observed a decrease in the risk of obesity, overweight and cancer for those who adopted the most sustainable dietary patterns. Finally, solutions from the optimization showed that from the least to the most disruptive scenarios, the contributions of fruits, vegetables, starch and soybean increase while those of animal foods and fatty and sweet foods decrease. Trends were independent of the level of vegetal-based food in the initial diets. Several solutions could be found to meet environmental challenges, while remaining economically accessible and covering the main nutritional needs. The choice of scenarios will have to be discussed in the light of the effort that we want to make on food in relation to other areas. Finally, the work carried out during this thesis showed that it is possible to identify and propose diets on good nutritional quality and to meet in part to environmental and public health emergencies while trying to ensure their economic accessibility and acceptability. In the context of unsustainable food systems and an increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, these results may be of major interest to justify the integration of sustainability into agricultural and public health policies

Texto completoThe individual risk of rupture of cerebral aneurysm is a major stake in the clinical treatment. The aneurismal rupture occurs when the intra-parietal stress exceeds the rupture stress of the material of the aneurismal wall. The goal of our study is to be a step toward a new biomechanical measure of an individual risk of rupture of cerebral aneurysm. First, an experimental study was performed to characterize the biomechanical behavior of the aneurismal wall on 16 samples of aneurysms removed by neurosurgery. The experimentation on the samples allowed us to reach three main categories of tissues for each sex (female and male): soft, intermediate and stiff. All the unruptured aneurysms belong to the stiff category or the intermediate category and all the ruptured aneurysms belong to the soft category. This is allowed us to give prominence to the correlation between the risk of rupture and the properties of the material of the aneurismal wall. Then, Fluid/Structure interaction computations (FSI) were performed to compare the strain of a “patient-specific” aneurysm composed of a degraded and undegraded material. The results show that the properties of the material have a major impact on the scope of the aneurismal volume variation over the cardiac cycle. The volume variation changes depending on the properties of the tissue are potentially viewable by medical imaging. A study of the uncertainties of the parameters is also proposed and shows the robustness of the results. We also demonstrated on 12 cases of “patient-specific” aneurysms that a significant difference stiff exists in terms of volume variation over the cardiac cycle between an aneurysm composed of a stiff and a soft material. This study suggests that the aneurismal volume variation could be used as a basis for an evaluation of the individual risk of rupture of cerebral aneurysms

Texto completoRisk factors associated with work-related falls can be typically categorized into two groups: individual and environmental. The aim of this study was to identify at which level of the postural regulation, individual and environmental factors may cause dysfunction generating imbalance among workers. Sensorial organisation favouring higher visual contribution is a risk factor of falls in an occupational setting by reducing workers' ability to adapt their posture in specific sensorial environments and by increasing latencies of their neuromuscular responses to unexpected perturbation. Long-term solvent exposure is responsible for a poor quality of static balance control and a diminished ability to efficiently adjust postural performance in sensory conflict situations. Moreover, exposed workers reported reduced vigilance without impaired quality of sleep, suggesting dysfunctions in cortical and subcortical structures controlling vigilance and postural stability

Texto completoBehind every act there is a sort of "staging", an "attempt to express" what the author cannot put into words nor metabolize, which leads him to act. In this work, amoung Authors of Infringement of Sexual Character (AISC) within familial, the aim is to understand and apprehend the conditions that triggers the act and how they affected the subject's psyche, leading him to give into the transgression.Through notions taken from the analytic's literature, in particular notions linked to the psyche's construction, to traumatic clinic or even the transgenerational transmission, we debate on the question of the influence of the environment on the individual's psyche functionning. Thereby posing hypothesis that identifications and transgenerationals repeats of traumatic origin can contribute in triggering the act, even more for AISC within familial. Could this kind of acting out then represent the consequences of a family's dynamicity experienced as "failing", or even traumatic, by the subject? Using a phenomenologic approach associated with a psychoanalytic positioning, the thorough analysis of seven case-studies could help answer those questions. The objective is to create a clinic study based on the subjective experience of each of them. This is done in hope to bring forward what could lack in their structuring, in their objectals investments and relationships. This trip through the proposed cases allow the question of whether the resolvent nature of these acting out vis-à-vis a family's dynamicity in which a traumatic experience takes its roots? Through the sexual offence, perpetrated within the family, is the subject using the body and the objectisation of another family to shout out his suffering, his "ill-being"? Is the acting out, for Authors of Infringement of Sexual Character (AISC) within familial, a consequence of a traumatic identity crisis, the need to find a sense or the search to the meaning to the subject's own existence? Through the analysis of defense mechanisms, representations, transference and counter-transference positions put in place, the goal is to help rework the senses, allow those patients to develop their elaboration capability, to give them a place, with respect to their subjectivity and that of other, a place capable of sustaining the construction of their originally deficient identity, to rediscover an identity that surpasses the trauma, and open the gates of reconstruction

Texto completoThe phosphate processing industries for the production of phosphate fertilizers, which are present in the southern coastal zone of the Grand Sfax in Tunisia, caused atmospheric emissions and waste discharges i.e., phosphogypsum loaded with metal contaminants. The resulting contamination of soils is a persistent contamination. In order to better understand the effects of metal contamination caused by this industrial activity and ultimately to propose measures for the rehabilitation and/or ecological restoration of the sites but also because of its economic importance, particular attention has been paid on the palm date (Phoenix dactylifera). The aim of this work was to study seed germination and growth of the Deglet Nour variety in various metal contamination contexts by means of plant biotechnology techniques involving in silico research and in vitro culture of vitroplant. Two approaches have been performed. An individual integrative approach that used numerous measurements of morphological and biochemical biomarkers in date palm exposed to various metal stresses. A second approach, more molecular and mechanistic, was performed to identify genes that respond when plants are exposed to Cd, Cu, or Cr which help for the prediction of the metabolic pathways that are affected by contaminants or involved in detoxification processes. This second approach, based on the exploitation of a cDNA library of the Deglet Nour variety, allowed the identification of genes coding for metal chelators and transporters. Monitoring of the levels of expression of these genes made it possible to better understand the detoxification mechanisms of metals in the palm date

Texto completoThe question of psychic traumatism is consubstantial of the discovery of the unconscious freudian. This original theory, radically reshaped by the conceptual contribution of fantasy and oedipal complex theory has left its mark on current conceptions of psychotraumatism. Indeed, do we not find, in the theories of debriefing psychological the idea of a necessary abreaction with therapeutic effects through the magic of speech? The psychic intrusion as a metaphor of an intrusion/delinking of the impulsive economy of the psychic apparatus appears to us fertile in the field of exploration of psychotrauma which we propose to carry out through diversified clinical experiments relating to the collection of testimonies of survivors of the Shoah, or work on writing about trauma, but also from three expert fact-finding missions we have carried out for the humanitarian NGO Médecins du Monde (earthquake in Armenia (1989), terrorist attacks in Israel (2000-2002) or the context of war targeting civilians in Israel (2006).To these four parts dotted with clinical cases which each time are a call to question the theory, we engage a discussion on the theories of trauma and to open this work towards other perspectives, we question the so essential dimensions of testimony and transmission in its report to the memory of the traumatic event. Finally, we propose to transpose the Israeli model of caring for victims of terrorism and organizing care and therapeutic efficiency after the attacks in France (2012/2015-2016) through the creation of a Psychotrauma and Resilience Care Unit within the OSE (Oeuvre de Secours aux Enfants) .Throughout this work, we address the issue of psychic trauma in its three dimensions, individual and collective, intentional or accidental, unique or repeated, by questioning psychoanalytical theory and its central conceptualization in the understanding of the phenomenon. On the Theoretical level we present a re-reading of compassion fatigue from a psychodynamic point of view through the conceptual detour of transference, counter-transference,Kleinian projective identification and Ferenczian introjection to arrive at this proposition which is part of the filiation of the Freudian corpus that we have named, traumatic neurosis of counter-transference and identification with the agressed

Texto completoTherapeutic advances in pediatric oncology have improved survival rates reaching over 80%. In order to increase cure rates and decrease complications and treatment sequelae, international collaborative efforts led to the development of therapeutic trials stratified on major prognostic factors including biological factors. However, treatment adaptation to individual patient characteristics remains marginal. In this thesis, our objective was to better understand how somatic (tumor-related) and constitutional (patient-related) characteristics could modify efficacy and toxicity of anticancer therapies used in pediatric oncology. Several works were performed: 1- Prognostic analysis of tumor markers: assessment of the alpha-foetoprotéine (AFP) decline prognostic value in childhood malignant germ cell tumors; 2- Prognostic analysis of constitutional factors: (i) assessment of the interaction between gender and type of alkylating agents on efficacy and acute toxicity; (ii) assessment of the efficacy and toxicity impact of genetic polymorphisms in patients with osteosarcoma treated with high-dose methotrexate; 3- Risk factors analysis of long-term toxicities: analysis of severe ototoxicity in the French Childhood Cancer Survivors Study (FCCSS)
