Resumen
Entrepreneurial behaviour is increasingly recognized as being heterogeneous. One notable source of heterogeneity is variations in the level and nature of entrepreneurs' experience. This has led to the distinction between experienced (‘habitual’) entrepreneurs and first-time (‘novice’) entrepreneurs. A number of high profile entrepreneurs have successfully owned several businesses. These individuals are known as habitual entrepreneurs, to reflect their ownership in more than one business, either sequentially (i.e. serial entrepreneurs) or concurrently (i.e. portfolio entrepreneurs). Although habitual entrepreneurs are widespread and have received media attention, there has been limited conceptual and theoretical understanding of this group. This article seeks to address this void by utilizing human capital theory to provide a framework for studying habitual entrepreneurs.

Resumen
While the previous chapter maintained that practical freedom is a capacity to act on our view of what we ought to do, the current chapter discusses an important exception to that claim, namely, habitual agency. Acting out of habit is often regarded as a form of reflex or even as compulsive behaviour, but much habitual agency is both intentional and free. Still, it is true that, insofar as we act out of habit, we have no capacity to determine what we do by making a judgement about whether we ought to be doing it. Habitual agency is nonetheless free because we have the capacity to determine whether we act out of habit by making a judgement about whether or not the habit is a virtue. So an intellectualist view of practical freedom can be applied to habitual agency.

Hogan, Patrick Colm. Gender and Regulatory Regimes. Oxford University Press, 2017. http://dx.doi.org/10.1093/oso/9780190857790.003.0006.

Resumen
The fifth chapter continues the focus on regulatory regimes, now turning to gender and taking up ideology and socialization rather than coercion. This chapter first considers some short stories by Tagore. Specifically, it examines the role of humiliation in the inhibition of boys’ empathic response, especially sensitivity about attachment needs. From here, the chapter turns to Woolf’s Orlando. In this novel, Woolf presents a situationist account of gender regulation. Orlando’s apparently masculine or feminine behaviors are provoked by such seemingly trivial situations as the nature of his/her clothing. Woolf nuances the situationist account by showing that some forms of situated behavior, as well as thought and feeling, are likely to become habitual through repetition. In short, it is not differences in minds that produce differences in behaviors, which in turn create social situations. Rather, differences in social situations produce differences in behaviors, leading to differences in thoughts and feelings.
