Resumen
In Malaysia, oral literature which is conveyed through a storyteller is the most ancient and instinctive art. Through the recording of the oral literature, which is then printed and marketed, the people today can enjoy the heritage of oral literature that narrates the structure of the society as well as various issues and conflicts of its time. In oral literature, it contains the genius of narrative and the genius thought of the nation’s storyteller, especially Pawang Ana through his masterpieces namely Hikayat Malim Dewa and Hikayat Anggun Che Tunggal. Both stories, recorded around 1886, narrate the voyage of a group of Malay warriors to Portugal to counter-attack the western colonists and gain victory. These two works of oral literature not only contain elements of ethnocentrism but are laden with postcolonial thinking, about seven decades ahead of postcolonial discourse by modern scholars that began to emerge around the 1950s.

Resumen
Genius is a concept which has still not been fully explored. Although genius has been linked to intelligence and at other times to madness, still this concept is open to interpretation. This research attempts to collate and explore the major researches and literature available for this concept. The importance of this research lies in the current educational scenario globally which aims at all children passing through the routine education which does not distinguish between students of higher capability and average capacity and treats all as a set of equal, indistinguishable herd. The research identified that individuals with above average talents in multiple subjects are not widely acknowledged as genius, with the exception of Leonardo da Vinci. Genius tends to be associated with individuals who have excelled in only one particular field.

Resumen
ABSTRACT: In the second half of the nineteenth century, European scientists began investigating genius as a psychopathological phenomenon. The most important representative of this genre of medical literature was the Italian criminal anthropologist Cesare Lombroso, for whom genius and inborn criminality were closely interconnected; in his view, studying the special intuition of the genius, arising though it does from a pathological condition (a form of epilepsy), might advance the work of science. Edgar Allan Poe was one of Lombroso’s key examples: he discussed Poe in all four of his books on genius, arguing that dipsomania had brought about an undiagnosed case of epilepsy that manifested itself as genius. Drawing on French, Italian, and German sources, this article examines Lombroso’s interpretation of Poe as well as the interpretations put forward by his followers and opponents in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It seeks to demonstrate that, although psychiatrists and other scientists trying to understand the genius of Poe did so in the name of science and of positivism, they actually reinforced the Poe myth established by Charles Baudelaire and R. W. Griswold.

Resumen
This article proposes a way of opening up the concept of genius to renewed understanding by analysing it in relation to the ‘others’ that are represented by melancholy, imposture and the reader. Discussions where genius is defined oppositionally are contrasted with those where such others are integral to the account of the phenomenon. The argument is based on a reading of three of the founding texts of the literature on genius, Aristotle's Problemata XXX, 1, Plato's Ion and Kant's Critique of Judgement.

Resumen
Abstract This essay explores how genius in the nineteenth century simultaneously constituted both individual and collective national identity, helping to produce new forms of liberal democratic nationalist culture. It offers a Latourian interpretation of genius in terms of the kind of social work and connections that the term enabled. Genius became associated in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries with author, nature, and nation in ways that grounded new models of literature and identity in the supposedly transcendental truth of nature and in specific landscapes as “sites of memory.” This discourse of genius played a keystone role in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s aesthetic and social criticism, or “genial criticism,” which exerted a deep influence on Anglophone culture. The essay concludes by assessing the overall cultural politics of genius in relation to various categories of identity, especially gender, and by suggesting how the “romantic work of genius” continues to operate and hold power in our (post)modern societies today.

Resumen
This article ("The Genius of Uzbek Art") provides information about the rich literary heritage of nations on Earth, the novel, which is considered a subgenre in literature, and six national schools of novel writing (English, French, German, Indian, Arabic, Russian, and Uzbek). It was also said that until the 20th century, the fields of language and literature were studied separately in scientific researches in the world, and this situation caused serious damage to the art of text. In order to eliminate this defect in science, the field of linguopoetics was formed, and linguopoetics studies the issue of creating an aesthetic effect of stylistically colored linguistic units in the artistic text. It is also explained that the main goal of the field of linguopoetics is to describe the artistic expression and aesthetic effect of stylistically colored lexical units in the text, and it is explained that linguopoetics works with artistic texts that are considered national spiritual wealth. In order to achieve this status, the artist must be able to feel the spirit of his nation, to be well aware of the folk art, to have a deep knowledge of the vocabulary of his mother tongue, to be able to understand and use the means of artistic representation at a high level, and only then the scope of expression of the national language and the level of incomparable image is emphasized. As a basis, the sound doubling, sound exchange, morphological forms, vocabulary units (synonyms, antonyms, pure Uzbek words, dialectal words, phraseology) used in the novel "Mehrobdan Chayan" by the great Uzbek writer Abdulla Qadiri, artistic arts (irony, simile, exaggeration, saj), lygvopoetic tools such as proverbs, portraits, replica-repetition were analyzed.

Resumen
Within the last decade, the Danish author Tove Ditlevsen (1917-1976) has experienced a remarkable renaissance: her works are massively being reissued and her legacy is taken up by young poets and artists. The “Tove fever” is also an international phenomenon – as most lately witnessed by the inclusion of “The Copenhagen Trilogy” (Childhood, Youth, Dependency, 1969-71) in the Penguin Modern Classics Series in 2021. Subsequently, the trilogy has been sold for publication in 32 countries worldwide. After having been dismissed by the Danish literary establishment in her lifetime as a female author of social realism and “confessional literature”, Ditlevsen is now celebrated as one of the most important and unique voices in 20th century Danish literature and as a precursor of Karl Ove Knausgård, Annie Ernaux, Rachel Cusk. But what are the reasons for this rediscovery? In the perspective of Bourdieusian sociology, the writing up of Ditlevsen may be seen as an instance of the fall of high Modernism and as an example of the constant metamorphosis of literary taste. However, we may also view the case through the lenses of Latourian actor-network-theory. The article tries to combine the two theoretical approaches by offering an outline of the most important actors in the current rediscovery and transmission of Ditlevsen’s work, while also paying attention to the aesthetic judgements and forms of attachment characterizing the “Tove fever”.

Resumen
The first part of this conference is a revision of the actual status of the scientific literature related to the concepts of genius, creativity and their association to psychopatology. The current concepts will be analyzed trying to explore the relevance and the real meaning of these concepts. In a second step we will analyze new empirical evidence that sustain a specific relationship between creativity, genius and psychopathology. The second part of the conference is dedicated to the most important pathographical studies of one outstanding creative genius. We will start this second part of these studies with the exploration of the life and the multiple artistic expressions of Vincent van Gogh. The Dutch genius left a huge amount of paintings and letters that has been analyzed from diferent perspectives, including biographical explorations, psicological studies and psychiatric approaches. The analisis should help us to understand in what way the psychopatological experiences can influence the development of outstanding artistic creativity.

Resumen
The aim of this paper regarding Pavol Strauss‘ Literary Work in the Central European Context is to introduce Pavol Strauss as a man and a writer, who was with his heart and soul a Central European. He had a strong bound to this territory spatially and temporally. At first, he was chased as a Jew, later on in the age of 30 he converted into Catholic. During the period of Stalinism, they considered him a second-class citizen, and he was wrongly called the clero-fascists however he was a believing Catholic. He was literally active in the second half of the 1930s, when he published two poetic collections in German. His poems in German were influenced by avant-garde which he became in touch with in Prague – its literary atmosphere defined Pavol Strauss’ literary experiments and further orientation. When speaking of Prague, also think of Franz Kafka, Franz Werfel and, of course, Reiner Maria Rilke. From the literary point of view, Pavol Strauss with his literary essays reached the highest level along with famous authors (R. Musil, K. Kraus, H. Broch). For his 82 years long life, Pavol Strauss cured many patients and left rare books of a unique philosophical dimension.

Resumen
Scott Hess, “Walden Pond as Thoreau’s Landscape of Genius” (pp. 224–250) This essay explores how Henry David Thoreau’s identification with Walden Pond was influenced by the nineteenth-century discourse of the literary landscape and by William Wordsworth’s association with the English Lake District in particular. Wordsworth was a central figure for the transatlantic development of the “landscape of genius”—a new form of literary landscape in which the genius of the author, associated with a specific natural landscape, mediated the spiritual power of nature for individual readers and tourists. Wordsworth’s identification of his authorial identity with the Lake District landscape had a formative influence on both Thoreau’s self-conception and his subsequent reception and canonization, as Thoreau and Walden Pond as his landscape of genius entered the canon together. The essay concludes by exploring the ongoing significance of Thoreau’s association with Walden for both his scholarly and popular reputations, including proliferating discourses of “Thoreau Country”; cultural and political disputes over the Concord and Walden landscapes; and invocations of Thoreau as an ecological hero and inspiration for responses to climate change.

Resumen
As the spiritual homeland marker of modern urbanites, ancient villages have grown into popular tourist attractions. However, the existing literature lacks a conceptually valid and psychometrically sound scale to measure the existential value of ancient villages that meet the material and spiritual needs of tourists. Guided by the concept of genius loci in architectural phenomenology, this study developed and validated a scale to measure the genius loci of ancient villages from the perspective of tourists experience in the Chinese context. Following multistage scale development and validation procedures, tourists in two World Cultural Heritage ancient villages were sampled in two stages (Study 1, n = 214; Study 2, n = 228) to establish the psychometric properties of a genius loci scale. A three-dimensional (earthbound atmosphere, architectural culture, and spiritual homeland) genius loci measurement with 10 items was identified, and the scale showed good reliability and validity. This study extends the current ancient village tourism literature and provides a measurement tool for further investigation by academics and tourism professionals.

Resumen
Information technology causes cultural transformation that makes global culture is formed. Cultural products called local-genius (local wisdom) are increasingly rare, including art and literature. Classical literature is no longer lived as the orientation of the great values of the past, but is considered a cultural artifact. For modern literature when an author recognizes new conventions and values in his mind, then when he perceives and creates them into literary works, in fact he has made hybrid literature. In biology, hybrid is the result of crossing between one species with another species, naturally or through manipulation. If you look at the origins of language and literature, modern literature is actually hybrid literature, we called modern Indonesian. Really, modern Indonesian author were limited to updating the disclosure method. Basically they remain grounded in the traditions and culture that gave birth to them, which have local-genius (localwisdom). Keywords: Hybrid literature; local wisdom; tradition; culture.IntisariTeknologi informasi menyebabkan terjadi transformasi kebudayaan sehingga terbentuk kebudayaan global.

There is no doubt about the magnitude of Charles Darwin's contributions to science. There has, however, been a long-running debate about how brilliant he was. His kind of intelligence was clearly different from that of the great physicists who are deemed geniuses. Here, the nature of Darwin's intelligence is examined in the light of Darwin's actual style of working. Surprisingly, the world of literature and the field of neurobiology might supply more clues to resolving the puzzle than conventional scientific history. Those clues suggest that the apparent discrepancy between Darwin's achievements and his seemingly pedestrian way of thinking reveals nothing to Darwin's discredit but rather a too narrow and inappropriate set of criteria for “genius.” The implications of Darwin's particular creative gifts with respect to the development of scientific genius in general are briefly discussed.

Resumen
Abstract Merapi Volcano in Central Java which has a high level of activity still holds hazard potential in the future. To reduce the disaster risks, a good disaster management is required. People who live in hazardous areas possess important social capital to enhance disaster management, in the form of local genius to cope with eruption. However, a question arises whether local genius still exists and is accepted by members of the younger generation. This paper presents a discussion about the existence of local genius on the younger generation in the southwest region of Merapi Volcano. The data were collected using some techniques which include interviews, focus group discussions, and literature study. The data were analyzed descriptively supported with scoring and statistical analysis. The results of the study show that local genius is not widely recognized and understood by the younger generation. There are no differences on the understanding of local genius among young members of the society who differ in age. The lack of teaching about local genius between generations causes a low understanding of young generation on local genius. Despite having a high motivation for preserving local genius, the younger generation perceive the local genius as a socio-cultural assets rather than as a source which enhances a disaster management. Overall, this paper presents new insights to understand the existence of local genius among the younger generation.
