Resumen
Functional expansion has been rigorously studied as a promising method in stochastic neutron transport and multi-physics coupling. It is a method to represent data specified on a desired domain as an expansion of basis set in a continuous manner. For convenience, the basis set for functional expansion is typically chosen to be orthogonal. In cylindrical PWR pin-cell simulations, the orthogonal Zernike polynomials have been used. The main advantage of using functional expansion in nuclear modeling is that it requires less memory to represent temperature and nuclide variations in fuel then using a fine discretization. Fewer variables are involved in the data storage and transfer process. Each nuclide can have its unique expansion order, which becomes very important for depletion problems. In a recent study, performance analysis was conducted on Zernike-based FETs on a 2D PWR geometry. For reaction rates like the absorption rate of U-238, however, many orders are needed with Zernike-based FETs to achieve a reasonable accuracy. This gap inspires the study in this paper on alternative basis set that can better capture the steep gradient with fewer orders. In this paper, a generalized functional expansion method is established. The basis set can be an arbitrary series of independent functions. To capture the self-shielding effect of U-238 absorption rate, an exponential basis set is chosen. The results show that the expansion order utilizing exponential basis can reduce by half of that from using orthogonal Zernike polynomials while achieving the same accuracy. The integrated reaction rate is also demonstrated to be preserved. This paper also shows that the generalized functional expansion could be a heuristic method for further investigation on continuous depletion problems.

Resumen
In this paper, we consider a semiclassical approximation of special functional integrals with respect to the conditional Wiener measure. In this apptoximation we use the expansion of the action with respect to the classical trajectory. In so doing, the first three terms of expansion are taken into account. Semiclassical approximation may be interpreted as an expansion in powers of the Planck constant. The novelty of this work is the numerical analysis of the accuracy of the semiclassical approximation of functional integrals. A comparison of the results is used for numerical analysis. Some results are obtained by means of semiclassical approximation, while the other by means of the functional integrals calculation method based on the expansion in eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian generating a functional integral.

Resumen
In order to expand the range of flour confectionary for healthy nutrition, documentation on new gingerbread products with increased food value was developed in 2017-2018. They are Prune gingerbread (kovrizhka) and gingerbread (pryanik) "Zabava", "Fantaziya", "Vdokhnovenie". The nutrition value of new gingerbread products is defined by the content of medium rye flour, sunflower oil, prunes, dried apricots, cocoa powder which enrich the products with many micronutrients necessary for a human body such as food fibers, mineral substances, vitamins, polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). Prune gingerbread exceeds the production analog (Tula gingerbread) in the content of food fibers (3.6%), vitamin E (2.9 mg%) and vitamin B1 (0.11 mg%) by 2.25; 4.1 and 1.37 times, respectively. It also has more mineral substances (K, P, Ca, Mg, Fe) in comparison with the control - 2.0; 1.3; 1.4; 2.4; 1.4 times, respectively. Energy value of Prune gingerbread is 8.8% lower than that of the production analog (Tula gingerbread). In 100 grams of Prune gingerbread and gingerbreads "Zabava", "Fantaziya", "Vdokhnovenie" there are from 2.9 to 4.0 g of polyunsaturated linoleic acid that satisfy the minimum body need a day. Gingerbreads "Zabava", "Fantaziya", "Vdokhnovenie" exceed the production analog (gingerbreads “Festivalnye”) in the content of mineral substances (K, Ca, Mg, P, Fe) in total – by 46.4; 98.4; 45.0%, respectively; in food fibers – by 1.7-2.2 times; in vitamin E – by 1.9-2.0 times. New gingerbread products are functional as they contain 26.4-36.4% of average daily body need in PUFA and 29.0-37.0% of vitamin E. Gingerbreads 'Zabava' and 'Fantaziya' contain respectively 17.0 and 20.0% of average daily body need in food fibers and 15.7% – in iron.

Resumen
Over the last few decades, education has acquired a fairly robust social identity worldwide and participation in higher education has also become increasingly common. Building upon Luhmann’s theory of society, in this paper we analyze the expansion of higher education in Chile, specifically looking at the transformations the Chilean higher education system has undergone and the interactions between this system and its social environment. We will include statistics to clarify the extent of the changes to – and costs of – increasing inclusion. We will also focus on the ever-changing rationales for the expansion (or contraction) of higher education in Chile. Altogether, our analysis show not just how the Chilean system of higher education adapts to its social environment, but also how individuals and other function systems currently adapt to this system and how it is organized. We end with a brief reflection on the ways in which education may or may not make a difference to society and a discussion on whether our findings shed any light on the evolution of other countries’ education systems.

Resumen
We discuss the functional representation of fermions, and obtain exact expressions for wave-functionals of the Schwinger model. Known features of the model such as bosonization and the vacuum angle arise naturally. Contrary to expectations, the vacuum wave-functional does not simplify at large distances, but it may be reconstructed as a large time limit of the Schrödinger functional, which has an expansion in local terms. The functional Schrödinger equation reduces to a set of algebraic equations for the coefficients of these terms. These ideas generalize to a numerical approach to QCD in higher dimensions.

Resumen
This paper presents a new computational scheme for an asymptotic expansion method of an arbitrary order. The asymptotic expansion method in finance initiated by Kunitomo and Takahashi (1992), Yoshida (1992b) and Takahashi (1995, 1999) is a widely applicable methodology for an analytic approximation of expectation of a certain functional of diffusion processes. Hence, not only academic researchers but also many practitioners have used the methodology for a variety of financial issues such as pricing or hedging complex derivatives under high-dimensional underlying stochastic environments. In practical applications of the expansion, a crucial step is calculation of conditional expectations for a certain kind of Wiener functionals. Takahashi (1995, 1999) and Takahashi and Takehara (2007) provided explicit formulas for those conditional expectations necessary for the asymptotic expansion up to the third order. This paper presents the new method for computing an arbitrary-order expansion in a general diffusion-type stochastic environment, which is powerful especially for high-order expansions: We develops a new calculation algorithm for computing coefficients of the expansion through solving a system of ordinary differential equations that is equivalent to computing the conditional expectations directly. To demonstrate its effectiveness, the paper gives numerical examples of the approximation for a λ-SABR model up to the fifth order.

Resumen
Abstract The Fragile X-related disorders (FXDs) are Repeat Expansion Diseases, genetic disorders that result from the expansion of a disease-specific microsatellite. In those Repeat Expansion Disease models where it has been examined, expansion is dependent on functional mismatch repair (MMR) factors, including MutLγ, a heterodimer of MLH1/MLH3, one of the three MutL complexes found in mammals and a minor player in MMR. In contrast, MutLα, a much more abundant MutL complex that is the major contributor to MMR, is either not required for expansion or plays a limited role in expansion in many model systems. How MutLγ acts to generate expansions is unclear given its normal role in protecting against microsatellite instability and while MLH3 does have an associated endonuclease activity, whether that contributes to repeat expansion is uncertain. We show here, using a gene-editing approach, that a point mutation that eliminates the endonuclease activity of MLH3 eliminates expansions in an FXD mouse embryonic stem cell model. This restricts the number of possible models for repeat expansion and supports the idea that MutLγ may be a useful druggable target to reduce somatic expansion in those disorders where it contributes to disease pathology.

Resumen
This paper considers issues such as integrability and how to get specific classes of solutions for nonlinear differential equations. The nonlinear Kundu–Mukherjee–Naskar (KMN) equation is chosen as a model, and its traveling wave solutions are investigated by using a direct solving method. It is a quite recent proposed approach called the functional expansion and it is based on the use of auxiliary equations. The main objectives are to provide arguments that the functional expansion offers more general solutions, and to point out how these solutions depend on the choice of the auxiliary equation. To see that, two different equations are considered, one first order and one second order differential equations. A large variety of KMN solutions are generated, part of them listed for the first time. Comments and remarks on the dependence of these solutions on the solving method and on form of the auxiliary equation, are included.

Resumen
This paper addresses the functional representation based on the event model. In the event model, the ontology is defined based on the theory of propositional logic to describe the connotation of the event, and the variant is defined based on the theories of domain relational calculus and set theory to express the variation range of the event, which is alterable part of the event under the constraints of the ontology. Function is an important concept in conceptual design and has its connotation and extension. The functional representation is proposed based on the event model. The ontology of event is used to describe the connotation of function and to reflect the stability of function. The variant of the event is used to represent the extension and to incarnate the variety of function. The extension of function is the change range of function under the constraints of the connotation. The proposed functional representation divides the function into the immutable part and the alterable part, facilitating the expansion of design space. A functional reasoning model is also put forward based on the event model to support the function reasoning on the computers. Finally, a simple case validates the feasibility of the model.

Resumen
AbstractFor more than two decades, mobile phone industry has shown that innovation is not only functional optimization and combination but can also be a "functional expansion”. Sometimes called radical or disruptive innovation, this phenomenon leads to the development of new method for engineers and designers. However, the intensity remains undemonstrated: is functional expansion a rare phenomenon (few products during very short periods of time) – or is it an intense phenomenon, that even might have accelerated in the last decades? To answer these questions, the paper overcomes two main obstacles: how to measure functional expansion? And what would be a law of functional expansion, that would enable to test the importance and newness of the phenomena? Building on recent advances on the measurement of innovation and on new computational models of design derived from most advanced design theories, this paper presents unique data on functional expansion of 8 consumer products and tests that functional expansion significantly accelerated in the mid 1990s. The paper confirms quantitatively that our societies are now in a new design regime, a regime of innovative design.

Resumen
In order to make the game industry chain be developed structurally, this paper designs a functional game industry expansion path based on VR realistic technology to enhance the interactivity of functional game industry expansion. The interactive 3D model is used to integrate the professional game engine and design the functional game expansion process. The motive of game expansion is guided by the ARCS model to support the construction of functional games. According to the VR realistic game experience, analyze the expandable paths from the modules of technological innovation and industrial integration in order to enhance the realistic experience of integrated industries in functional games. The simulation analysis of the expansion path of the functional game industry based on VR realistic technology shows that VR realistic technology improves the signal-to-noise ratio of functional games by 50% on average, height and cross-roll angle changes by 6.65f/ms and 6.79f/ms respectively, and the number of textures is up to 16.68MB. Therefore, VR realistic technology is beneficial to promote the transformation of the functional game industry it can ensure that the functional game industry steps into a sustainable and expandable track of transformation and upgrading.

For slowly varying fields the vacuum functional of a quantum field theory may be expanded in terms of local functionals. This expansion satisfies its own form of the Schrödinger equation from which the expansion coefficients can be found. For scalar field theory in 1+1 dimensions we show that this approach correctly reproduces the short-distance properties as contained in the counterterms. We also describe an approximate simplification that occurs for the sine–Gordon and sinh–Gordon vacuum functionals.

Resumen
The relict arctic–alpine tundra provides a natural laboratory to study the potential impacts of climate change and anthropogenic disturbance on tundra vegetation. The Nardus stricta-dominated relict tundra grasslands in the Krkonoše Mountains have experienced shifting species dynamics over the past few decades. Changes in species cover of the four competing grasses—Nardus stricta, Calamagrostis villosa, Molinia caerulea, and Deschampsia cespitosa—were successfully detected using orthophotos. Leaf functional traits (anatomy/morphology, element accumulation, leaf pigments, and phenolic compound profiles), were examined in combination with in situ chlorophyll fluorescence in order to shed light on their respective spatial expansions and retreats. Our results suggest a diverse phenolic profile in combination with early leaf expansion and pigment accumulation has aided the expansion of C. villosa, while microhabitats may drive the expansion and decline of D. cespitosa in different areas of the grassland. N. stricta—the dominant species—is retreating, while M. caerulea did not demonstrate significant changes in territory between 2012 and 2018. We propose that the seasonal dynamics of pigment accumulation and canopy formation are important factors when assessing potential “spreader” species and recommend that phenology be taken into account when monitoring grass species using remote sensing.

Resumen
The basic idea of density functional theory is to map an interacting many-particle system on an effective non-interacting system in such a way that the ground-state densities of the two systems are identical. The non-interacting particles move in an effective local potential which is a functional of the density. The central task of density functional theory is to find good approximations for the density dependence of this local single-particle potential. An overview of recent advances in the construction of this potential (beyond the local-density approximation) will be given along with successful applications in quantum chemistry and solid state theory. We then turn to the extension of density functional theory to superconductors and first discuss the Hohenberg-Kohn-Sham-type existence theorems. In the superconducting analogue of the the normal-state Kohn-Sham formalism, a local single-particle potential is needed which now depends on two densities, the ordinary density n(r) and the anomalous density △(r,r/). As a first step towards the construction of such a potential, a gradient expansion technique for superconductors is presented and applied to calculate an approximation of the non-interacting kinetic energy functional Ts[n, △]. We also obtain a Thomas-Fermi-type variational equation for superconductors.

Resumen
Today, China is witnessing large-scale expansion of industrial parks. Rapid urbanization has resulted in the planning, development, and functional transformation of large industrial parks. Some of the expansions have occurred in core areas, while others involved the establishment of new park spaces in peripheral areas. This study examines industrial parks’ spatial expansion in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei urban agglomeration and supplements the currently limited spatial expansion analyses of groups of development zones within specific regions. From the perspective of land use change, the study characterizes the spatial expansion of industrial parks in the three periods 1990–2000, 2000–2010, and 2010–2015. Results reveal the following: (1) During the three periods, the footprint of major industrial parks in Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei increased continuously, whereas the average annual growth rates diminished by 11.51%, 8.17%, and 3.38% for 1990–2000, 2000–2010, and 2010–2015, respectively. (2) In terms of spatial layout, the density of industrial parks has always been high in Beijing and Tianjin, and it increased over the three periods in Hebei, with more industrial parks established in the southeastern and fewer in the northern regions. (3) Regarding expansion modes, the period 1990–2000 witnessed several edge-expansions in core areas, such as Beijing and Tianjin, and limited expansions in peripheral cities; in 2000–2010, mainly edge- and infilling expansions occurred in core cities and characteristically outlying expansions in peripheral ones. In 2010–2015, infilling expansions took place in core cities and edge-expansions of established industrial parks occurred in small and medium-sized cities. Identifying the expansion modes is instrumental in differentiating industrial park development paths and optimizing an entire region’s spatial planning for industrial parks.

Resumen
Exploiting an expansion for analytic functions of operators, the asymptotic distribution of an estimator of the functional regression parameter is obtained in a rather simple way; the result is applied to testing linear hypotheses. The expansion is also used to obtain a quick proof for the asymptotic optimality of a functional classification rule, given Gaussian populations.

Resumen
Purpose: The study aimed to analyze the effect of chest-expansion exercise studies on chest expansion, respiratory function, and functional activity over the past 8 years (2015-2022). Methods: Previous studies were electronically searched using the PubMed, PEDro, KISS, and RISS4U databases. A total of five studies were selected according to the PRISMA guidelines, and the PEDro scale was used for the qualitative analysis. Results: Five studies met the criteria. Two studies scored 6 of 10 and three scored 5. Four studies had an intervention of 20 and 30 min, each at a frequency of 4-5 times per week, for a total of 4-8 weeks, except for one study that performed 20 min of intervention at a time, which demonstrated an immediate effect. The results indicated that chest-expansion exercises effectively improved chest expansion, respiratory function, and functional activity. Conclusion: Chest-expansion exercises exert positive effects on chest expansion, respiratory function, and functional activity.

Resumen
Aim: We aimed to study biological properties of human endometrial stromal cells in vitro. Materials and Methods: The endometrium samples (n = 5) were obtained by biopsy at the first phase of the menstrual cycle from women with endometrial hypoplasia. In all cases, a voluntary written informed consent was obtained from the patients. Endometrial fragments were dissociated by enzymatic treatment. The cells were cultured in DMEM/F12 supplemented with 10% FBS, 2 mМ L-glutamine and 1 ng/ml FGF-2 in a multi-gas incubator at 5% CO2 and 5% O2. At P3 the cells were subjected to immunophenotyping, multilineage differentiation, karyotype stability and colony forming efficiency. The cell secretome was assessed by BioRad Multiplex immunoassay kit. Results: Primary population of endometrial cells was heterogeneous and contained cells with fibroblast-like and epithelial-like morphology, but at P3 the majority of cell population had fibroblast-like morphology. The cells possessed typical for MSCs phenotype CD90+CD105+CD73+CD34-CD45-HLA-DR-. The cells also expressed CD140a, CD140b, CD146, and CD166 antigents; and were negative for CD106, CD184, CD271, and CD325. Cell doubling time was 29.6 ± 1.3 h. The cells were capable of directed osteogenic, adipogenic and chondrogenic differentiation. The cells showed 35.7% colony forming efficiency and a tendency to 3D spheroid formation. The GTG-banding assay confirmed the stability of eMSC karyotype during long-term culturing (up to P8). After 48 h incubation period in serum-free medium eMSC secreted anti-inflammatory IL-1ra, as well as IL-6, IL-8 and IFNγ, angiogenic factors VEGF, GM-CSF and FGF-2, chemokines IP-10 and MCP-1. Conclusion: Thus, cultured endometrial stromal cells meet minimal ISCT criteria for MSC. Proliferative potential, karyotype stability, multilineage plasticity and secretome profile make eMSC an attractive object for the regenerative medicine use.
