Resumen
The present research paper aims to identify the knowledge and skill requirements of social workers at family counseling centers and identify the methods of promoting the intellectual security of Saudi families to make suggestions for the success of social workers from the perspective of workers and academicians. The author adopted the analytical-descriptive approach and applied two questionnaires for data collection. The results showed that the most important knowledge requirements are familiarity with methods that help the family invest its capabilities and acquire experience, from the perspective of workers, and training in providing the services that the family needs based on its needs and the capabilities of the center, from the perspective of academicians. The most important skill requirements are acquiring skills related to the steps of problem-solving to promote the family's intellectual security, from the perspective of workers, and acquiring skills and applying good communication methods, from the perspective of academicians. The methods of promoting intellectual security are educating families about the importance of the culture of dialog, from the perspective of workers, and educating families about interest in and observing the behavior of children, from the perspective of academicians. The workers suggested running training courses in family counseling centers to train social workers, whereas the academicians suggested increasing the number of social workers at family counseling centers to help provide professional services. The study recommended running training courses at family counseling centers to train social workers in the fields of promoting the intellectual security of Saudi families.

Resumen
This study proposes the implementation of a comprehensive social policy system in Germany that safeguards women's reproductive rights and children's rights to birth. This system comprises a birth notification system, a protected birth system, a pregnancy conflict counseling system, and related service delivery mechanisms. A comparative case study was conducted to explain the support social services and family policy system for women in pregnancy conflict situations, focusing on a pregnancy conflict counseling center in Germany. Following the revision of the Criminal Law in 1992, the German government began to partially legalize abortion and introduce pregnancy conflict counseling centers. This research found that the German government has supported women in pregnancy conflict situations through child-centered cash benefits and family policy programs aimed at promoting work-life balance. Our research underscores the need to establish a social service delivery system that acknowledges women as the primary stakeholders in childbirth. Additionally, this study proposes revisions to laws related to abortion penalties and the establishment of a comprehensive family policy system.

Resumen
All urologists have faced patients suffering a renal cancer asking for the occurrence of the disease in their offspring and very often the answer to this question has not been well founded from the scientific point of view, and only in few cases a familial segregation tree is performed. The grate shift seen in the detection of small renal masses and renal cancer in the last decades will prompt us to know the indications for familial studies, which and when are necessary, and probably to refer those patients with a suspected familial syndrome to specialized oncological centers where the appropriate molecular and familial studies could be done. Use of molecular genetic testing for early identification of at-risk family members improves diagnostic certainty and would reduce costly screening procedures in at-risk members who have not inherited disease-causing mutations. This review will focus on the molecular bases of familial syndromes associated with small renal masses and the indications of familial studies in at-risk family members.

Resumen
The diagnosis of a hereditary cancer syndrome can be psychologically stressful and influence family planning. This study aimed to gain insights into the relationship between the desire for children and the distress of female carriers. Women (N = 255) with different hereditary cancer syndromes were assessed from November 2019 to July 2021 at genetic counseling centers, the centers of the German HBOC-Consortium and the centers of the German HNPCC-Consortium regarding their distress levels with the NCCN Distress Thermometer (DT). The desire for children was measured by self-developed questions. Levels of distress and desire for children were evaluated descriptively. Factors influencing the desire for children and distress were calculated using binary logistic regression: 56% (n = 51) of 18- to 39-year-old participants reported a desire to have children; 70.6% of the carriers with a desire for children indicated a need for advice from their physicians regarding family planning. The diagnosis led 61.5% to postpone the timing of family planning, and the majority (68.8%) opted for an earlier birth. Carriers had higher levels of distress. Younger carriers (p = 0.037) and those living in poorer economic circumstances (p = 0.011) were more distressed. The diagnosis of hereditary cancer syndrome affects family planning. The results emphasize the importance of physicians addressing family planning in their counseling sessions.

Resumen
We consider the influence of emotional intelligence and empathic abilities level in counseling therapists on the satisfaction with the quality of family counseling among clients from dysfunctional families. The study involved 26 counseling therapists working in counseling centers in Moscow, as well as 70 family members who sought advice on family difficulties. The effectiveness of counseling and customer satisfaction is influenced by both the method chosen by the consultant to solve the family issue, and the dialogical interaction between consultants and clients, which characterizes the qualitative side of the therapeutic alliance. The role of specific characteristics of emotional intelligence and empathy among counseling therapists contributing to the establishment of a therapeutic alliance has been established. The results of the study showed a positive correlation between customer satisfaction with counseling and the ability of a therapist to control his emotions and manage the emotions of clients, as well as the flexible use of rational and emotional channels of empathy, which allows coping with difficulties in the counseling process. Conclusions are drawn about the need to include trainings for the development of these qualities in the professional training of counseling therapists, since existing educational standards focus mainly on the “technical” side of counseling, ignoring the basic psychological basis for the success of working with members of problem families – the skillful establishment of psychological contact and the development of trusting relationships with people who had different goals and positions in a protracted conflict and unwilling to take responsibility for its resolution.

Resumen
Background: Antenatal care (ANC) provides an important opportunity to improve maternal understanding about pregnancy, childbirth, and care of the newborn. Adequate and quality ANC can help ensure a favourable pregnancy outcome, but the coverage of ANC in India remains inadequate. The present study was conducted with an objective to assess ante natal counselling services at health centers in Chandigarh Tricity. Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted in the Chandigarh Tricity during April 2012 to September 2013. Stratified multistage sampling technique was used to select health centers in tricity. A total of 345 pregnant women in second and third Trimester were interviewed with the help of pre-designed, structured and pre-tested questionnaire after taking their written informed consent. It was supplemented by observation of ante natal sessions. Data was entered and analyzed using SPSS version 19.Results: Nearly one-fourth (28.1%) participants received counselling regarding diet and rest. Only 26 (07.5%) participants were explained about danger signs during pregnancy. Significant difference was found between counseling given regarding ‘diet and rest’ with respect to city (p=0.03) and health centers (p=0.00). Significant difference was found between counselling for ‘family planning’ with respect to city (p=0.01) and health centers (p=0.00).Conclusions: Findings from our study indicate low level of counselling on various components of ANC. Thus, strategies under National Health Mission to improve quality of antenatal communication as well as maternal understanding should be strengthened.

Resumen
Background: Multidimensional family therapy is the most researched family based intervention for adolescent substance abuse. Research and coverage: Funded continuously since 1985 in a series of controlled trials, process studies, economic analyses, and implementation studies, MDFT has achieved positive outcomes at post treatment and at various follow-up periods at one year and beyond when compared to a variety of active treatments, including cognitive behavior therapy, group counseling, multifamily groups, as well as in comparisons against services as usual. MDFT is a treatment system rather than a one size fits all model, having been adapted for testing and implementation in a variety of U.S. locations and in a multinational controlled trial in Europe over the past 5 years (Berlin, Paris, Brussels, The Hague, and Geneva). Studies have tested MDFT in juvenile justice settings such as drug courts, detention centers, residential treatment, as well as in outpatient treatment offered in drug and juvenile justice outpatient settings.

Resumen
There is a paucity of research on transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) students who present to university counseling centers (UCCs). Using national-level data from the Center for Collegiate Mental Health (2012 to 2015), the current findings indicate that TGNC students seeking services at UCCs are presenting with high acuity and more severe concerns than their cisgender peers. This severity is in nearly every clinical domain including suicidality, history of hospitalization, trauma history, mood disorders, and family distress. Comparing the transgender and gender nonconforming (GNC) collegiate clients, GNC clients have the highest levels of distress and clinical symptoms on nearly every indicator. Overall, these findings for both transgender and GNC clients provide important information for UCCs about treatment and outreach to these high-risk populations. Our findings also mirror the mental health disparities seen in noncollegiate community TGNC samples. We discuss treatment implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research.

Resumen
Background: Favorable attitudes toward modern family planning methods (MFPMs) among Jordanian and Syrian women do not always translate into behavioral changes, and the availability and cost of MFPMs do not appear to be related to either prior stalls in fertility rates in Jordan or to the current and likely temporary decline in fertility rates. This study aimed to determine whether behavioral economics (BE)-based family planning interventions influence the use of any family planning method, MFPMs use, continuation of MFPMs use, and pregnancy rates among women in Jordan. The BE-based family planning interventions included personalized text messaging and augmented counseling based on framing and identity-priming BE principles, with their effects tested over a 9-month period in the postpartum period following the birth of a child. Methods: A parallel-group cluster randomized controlled trial was conducted to compare two interventions, augmented counseling based on framing and identity-priming BE principles and personalized mobile phone text messages reminders, aiming to improve the utilization of MFPMs among postpartum women over status quo family planning services in comprehensive health centers in the north of Jordan. Results: In total, 1032 participated in the study: 295 women in the control group; 326 women in Intervention Group 1, which received only augmented counseling; and 411 women in intervention Group 2, which received augmented counseling and monthly text messages. The rates of using MFPMs in the counseling group and the counseling and messages group 3 months (54.7% and 57.1%, respectively), 6 months (50.0% and 51.7%, respectively), and 9 months (49.5% and 52.0%, respectively) were significantly higher than the rates among women in the control group (40.6% at 3 months, 37.6% at 6 months, and 34.3% at 9 months). Overall, 26.8% of women in the control group, 42.1% of women in the counseling-only group, and 45.2% of women in the counseling and messages group used MFPMs continuously for all 9 months. At 9 months, the pregnancy rate was significantly much higher in the control group (13.7%) compared to women in the counseling-only group (7.0%) and to women in the counseling and messages group (7.4%). Conclusions: Simple BE-based interventions can be effective methods for enhancing the use of MFPMs and maintaining the anticipated decline in Jordan’s total fertility rate.

Resumen
Background. The copper intrauterine device is one of the most safe, effective, and cost-effective methods for preventing unintended pregnancy. It can be used postpartum irrespective of breastfeeding to improve birth spacing and reduce unintended pregnancy and maternal-child mortality. However, this method remains highly underutilized. Methods. We developed a multi-level intervention to increase uptake of the postpartum intrauterine device (PPIUD, defined as insertion up to six weeks post-delivery) in Kigali, Rwanda. High-volume hospitals and health centers were selected for implementation of PPIUD counseling and service delivery. Formative work informed development of a PPIUD counseling flipchart to be delivered during antenatal care, labor and delivery, infant vaccination visits, or in the community. Two-day didactic counseling, insertion/removal, and follow-up trainings were provided to labor and delivery and family planning nurses followed by a mentored practicum certification process. Counseling data were collected in government clinic logbooks. Insertions and follow-up data were collected in logbooks created for the implementation. Data were collected by trained government clinic staff and abstracted/managed by study staff. Stakeholders were involved from intervention development through dissemination of results. Results. Two hospitals (and their two associated health centers) and two additional health centers were selected. In 6-months prior to our intervention, 7.7 PPIUDs/month were inserted on average at the selected facilities. From August 2017-July 2018, we trained 83 counselors and 39 providers to provide PPIUD services. N=9,020 women received one-on-one PPIUD counseling after expressing interest in family planning who later delivered at a selected health facility. Of those, n=2,575 had PPIUDs inserted (average of 214.6 insertions/month), a 29% uptake. Most PPIUDs (62%) were inserted within 10 minutes of delivery of the placenta. Conclusions. This successful, comprehensive intervention has the potential to make a significant impact on PPIUD uptake in Rwanda. The intervention is scalable and adaptable to other sub-Saharan African countries.

Resumen
The family has been described as the center or heart of societal relationships. There has been a historic neglect of research in area of counseling for the family members of substance abusers. As result, treatment for individual family members affected by alcoholism and drug addiction remains a neglected component of majority of addiction programs. The study used a sample of 36 families who participated in family therapy intensive outpatient and inpatient treatment program during 2 years. This study explored the efficacy of family-based treatment in changing family’s attitudes toward people with addiction and toward specific relative with addiction. The participants were in two groups; ethnographic technique of action research model was used. Participants in the treatment group received treatment session and participants in the control group did not receive treatment session but had a general treatment program in health centers. This study had two phases: (1) recruiting, selecting, interviewing, and determining eligibility of family members from both groups in the study and (2) applying the intervention to the treatment group with the help of cognitive-behavioral group counseling. This treatment program comprised of solution-focused family skilled training therapy, action learning techniques, community and peer mentorship, and parent training was effective in reducing addicts drug ingestion, changing their attitudes about drug use, increasing knowledge of the physical consequences of drug use, and improving competent behaviors. Family therapy enhanced family resilience, structure, and strong ties; the program improved problem-solving skills, coping skills, and family resiliency levels of the addicts.

Resumen
Objective: The main objective of this study was to determine physical activity levels and the factors associated with physical activity among family physicians working in primary health care centers in a district of Istanbul. We also aimed to evaluate the physical activity counseling practices of physicians. Methods: In this descriptive study, data were collected through a questionnaire applied to family physicians working in the research area between March and April 2019. The survey included 26 questions evaluating participants’ sociodemographic characteristics, physical activity levels, and physical activity counseling practices. Physical activity levels were assessed with the International Physical Activity Questionnaire – Short Form (IPAQ-SF). Results: A total of 80 family physicians were included in the study. Most of the participants were male (53.8%) and the mean age was 42.0 ± 9.8 years. Among all, 45.0% of the participants had low and 35.0% had moderate physical activity levels. ‘Heavy workload’ was stated as the primary reason for being physically inactive (73.8%). In the multivariate analysis, the presence of chronic diseases, using only private cars for transportation to work, and not monitoring physical activity levels through a device was associated with physical inactivity (p<0.05 for all). Physicians stated that; cardiovascular diseases (71.2%), diabetes (67.5%), and obesity (60.0%) were the most common diseases they had provided physical activity counseling. Physicians indicated the most important barriers to physical activity counseling were ‘the lack of sufficient time (80.0%) and ‘the expectation of medication treatment by the patients’ (60.0%). Conclusion: Heavy workload and time constraints reduced the physical activity levels of physicians and affected counseling practices adversely. There is a need for interventions that support the use of public transportation and walking during commuting to work, to encourage monitoring the activity level, and to increase the activity of those with chronic diseases.

Resumen
Abstract Objective Women play an essential role in maintaining the family's health, and family planning is part of women's and families' health. The couple's mutual understanding of family planning methods is essential in selecting contraception. Acceptance of and satisfaction with different contraception methods can impact sexual satisfaction. The present study aimed to compare the effect of the information-motivation-behavioral (IMB) model and psychoeducational counseling on sexual satisfaction and contraception methods of women referring to health centers in Kerman. Methods This trial was conducted on 81 women aged 18 to 45, in Kerman health centers, from 2021 to 2022. Participants were randomly divided into 3 groups of 27 people (control, psychoeducational counseling, and IMB method). Three online counseling sessions were held for the psychoeducational group, and four were held for the IMB group. The control group received routine care. The IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, version 22 (IBM Corp. Armonk, NY, USA) was used for data analysis using nonparametric Friedman and Kruskal-Wallis tests. Results The mean age of participants was 32.59 ± 7.04, and the majority of them had university degrees and were homemakers. The mean sexual satisfaction score significantly increased immediately after the intervention and 1 month later in the 2 interventional groups (p < 0.0). Changes in contraception methods after intervention were significant in the psychoeducational group (p = 0.0) Conclusion The results indicate the positive impact of psychological counseling on women's sexual satisfaction and contraception method. The IMB method also impacted men's sexual satisfaction but did not lead to any changes in the contraceptive method.

Resumen
Objectives The purpose of this study is to verify the moderating effect of family resilience in the relationship between care stress and quality of life of mothers of children with developmental disabilities. Methods For this study, the survey was conducted on 220 mothers of children with developmental disabilities who use treatment centers for people with developmental disabilities and childcare centers for disabilities located in Busan, Daegu, Geoje, and Yangsan from March 28 to April 13, 2023. Among them, 198 copies of the effective questionnaire were used for the final statistical analysis. For the collected data, descriptive statistics by variable, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS 22.0 statistical program, and the moderating effect was verified using Process Macro for SPSS V4.1 Model 1. Results First, as a result of examining levels according to sociodemographic characteristics of mothers and children with developmental disabilities, the higher the level of education, the higher the quality of life and the level of family resilience. In addition, the higher the income, the higher the quality of life and the level of family resilience, and the more severe the child's disability, the higher the level of care stress. Second, the average of care stress for mothers of children with developmental disabilities was 3.32, the average of quality of life was 3.01, and the average of family resilience was 3.43. Third, there was a negative correlation between care stress, quality of life, and family resilience of mothers of children with developmental disabilities, and a positive correlation between quality of life and family resilience. Fourth, the moderating effect of family resilience was found in the relationship between care stress and quality of life. Conclusions This study is meaningful in that it can be used as useful basic data for counseling to improve the quality of life of mothers caring for children with developmental disabilities by identifying the relationship between care stress and quality of life of mothers of children with developmental disabilities. In addition, it is meaningful that it is possible to provide a foundation for developing and utilizing family counseling and educational programs by enabling a counseling approach to the family of mothers of children with developmental disabilities using the family elasticity adjustment effect.

Resumen
An unprecedented rise in the number of street children in the last decade has raised concern in Kenya. Numerous and complex socio-economic factors have been attributed to the rising presence of children on the streets. Therefore, this study purposed to investigate the contribution of selected family factors on the influx of street children in Kenyan towns with special reference to Nakuru Municipality which has a population of about 3,800 street children with 800 of these in rehabilitation centers. This was a descriptive survey that used an ex post facto design. Nakuru Municipality has eight active rehabilitation centers for street children. Five rehabilitation centers were randomly sampled to provide a sample of 100 street children and 5 managers. Self- response questionnaires and an interview schedule were used to collect the required data. Descriptive statistics was used to describe the raw data. The main factors within the family such as family type, inability of parents to provide for their children, child abuse, parent’s drunkenness and poor parent- child relationship, have contributed a lot to the street children phenomenon. Family counseling can be used to assist the families of street children.

Resumen
283 Background: Many cancer centers have developed and fostered several supportive care services to ease the stress of a cancer diagnosis. The availability of such services is key to Commission on Cancer (CoC) for accreditation, which many cancer centers pursue and patients seek as a measure of quality. Despite the stated availability of supportive care services, we wondered how easily new patients could access these services when first contacting a major cancer center. Methods: We used a ‘mystery shopper’ format to simulate calls made by a family member of a recently diagnosed patient to 40 NCI-designated cancer centers. We called each center four times on different days, twice with the caller reporting Medicaid insurance, twice with private insurance. We evaluated quantitative and qualitative components of the call, including time to next available appointment and reported availability of the 7 supportive services reported to the CoC. Descriptive statistics were calculated for each quantitative measure. Results: We placed 160 calls to 40 NCI-designated cancer centers. 38.2% of callers were unable to receive complete information about the number of supportive care services offered, whether because they were unable to reach a person or because the person they reached did not know whether one or more of the services was offered. Overall, only 37.6% of callers (60.8% of those who reached a person who could answer their questions) were told that all seven supportive care services were offered. Call recipients responded with an answer other than yes to whether the cancer center offered a multidisciplinary team approach (14.6%), patient navigation services (12.1%), genetic assessment/counseling (9.5%), palliative care (9.5%), counseling/psychological services (7.6%), or cancer education services (6.4%). Conclusions: Despite the stated availability of seven key supportive care services, we were unable to access all services during a call to establish an appointment about one-third of the time. For individual services, about 10% of the time we were told such services did not exist at the cancer center. Further research is needed to close the availability vs. accessibility gap in oncology supportive care.

Resumen
The purpose of this study was to identify family caregivers’ experiences in managing the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) with particular focus on their interpersonal interactions with patient with dementia. Data were collected through focus-group interviews with 15 family caregivers from three local dementia-support centers located in Seoul. Data were analyzed using content analysis. Three main themes were identified through data analysis: triggers of BPSD, family caregiver’s actions in response to BPSD and patient’s reactions, and the effect of BPSD on family caregivers. Findings demonstrated that BPSD depended on the complex interplay of family caregivers and patients, including their interaction style. This information could help nurses when counseling and educating family caregivers to improve or modify their attitudes and approaches to behavioral symptoms of patients.

Resumen
543 Background: Reflex screening for Lynch Syndrome (LS) has been recommended, however occurs in few jurisdictions worldwide. We aimed to explore program structure, pathology testing, implementation challenges and future directions of existing reflex LS screening programs in various jurisdictions to develop best practices for future programs. Methods: We identified existing reflex LS screening programs through a literature search and expert opinion. Information on program implementation, patient population, family care involvement, monitoring and improvements was collected through semi-structured interviews with program leaders, pathologists, technical staff, and family physicians. Pattern, thematic and content analysis were used to analyze and extract program features, sequence of pathological testing and best practices. Results: 26 participants across 7 programs completed interviews. There were 3 government-funded, population-based programs (Manitoba, Western Australia, and New South Wales), 2 private health management organization programs implemented across affiliated healthcare centers (Pennsylvania and Southern California); and 2 hospital-based programs (Ohio and Utah). Five programs screened all patients with CRC for LS while 2 programs designated an upper age limit for screening. The majority of programs tested tumor samples for LS using a combination of immunohistochemistry and BRAF mutation analysis. In jurisdictions relying on surgeons' referral to genetic counseling without navigation, uptake of genetic testing was lower than expected. Programs implementing early education of surgeons and pathologists in reflex screening procedures reported confidence in skills, collaboration and communication. Communication materials for family members of affected individuals were recommended to increase family engagement in genetic counselling. Conclusions: There are a variety of reflex LS screening programs with varying standards and protocols. Program design influences uptake of genetic testing; programs with an imbedded navigation plan for those who need genetic counseling enhance rates of adherence. This should be an important consideration when planning future reflex screening programs.

Resumen
To explore the relationship between family functioning, psychological capital, life history strategy, and relapse tendency of individuals with drug addiction, 842 individuals with drug addiction completed a questionnaire. The results showed that (1) there was a significant negative correlation between the family functioning of individuals with drug addiction and their relapse tendency; (2) psychological capital played an intermediary role between family functioning and relapse tendency; and (3) life history strategy regulated the mediating effect of psychological capital. The results of this study suggest that family members should collaborate with drug addiction treatment centers and participate in the education and treatment process to help reduce drug relapse tendency. Increasing the psychological capital and self-efficacy of individuals with drug addiction through group psychological counseling and psychological education courses could also reduce drug relapse tendency.

The purpose of this study is to design and develop a Metaverse ZEP platform-based teaching and learning process plan by selecting learning topics that are commonly dealt with among the core concepts of the “family” area of practical (technical and home) subjects. To this end, a teaching and learning process plan was developed through planning, Metaverse platform design, expert review, and revision stages. The Metaverse ZEP “Open Class Day” platform, a virtual learning space, was created and developed to further utilize EduTech programs, such as Padlet, Mentimeter, Jamboard, Miricanvas, and Spatial. The teaching and learning process plan developed in this study consists of a total of seven sessions, including approaching EduTech, Changing Families, Exploring Our Family, and Counseling Centers 1, 2, and 3. Among them, Geumji Counseling Center 1, 2, and 3 was designed as a class in which parents and children participate together in open classes using the ZEP platform. This platform can be used as part of parent classes as well as to encourage online participation in the open classes held periodically at each individual school. In terms of the content validity ratio (CVR) of the developed teaching and learning process verified through five experts, 12 out of 15 questions had a CVR of 1, while the remaining three questions had a CVR of 0.6. The three questions with lower validity were revised and supplemented.

Resumen
The article analyzes the causes of deviations in the behavior of juveniles and the conditions for their elimination, considers forms of deviant behavior, it formulates recommendations for organizing psychological work with minors held in temporary detention centers for minor offenders. It was revealed that an important role play defects of legal and moral education, neglect, lack of parental control over how the child spends free time, imperfection of the personality formation process, the negative influence of the family and immediate environment and their value orientations, the conflict situation in the origin of the deviant behavior of the minor family, personal characteristics of minors, which arose to a greater extent due to omissions in family education. It is shown that identifying the causes and motives that caused the juvenile to commit an offense, providing counseling to parents or legal representatives of minors to normalize family relationships, an individual approach to organizing preventive work taking into account the personality characteristics of juveniles, help optimize the psychological work with minors held in the temporary detention center for minor offenders. The authors believe that the main emphasis in the organization of psychological work with children and juveniles hold in the temporary detention centers for minor offenders should be made on the correction of the personal value system, since crimes are committed by minors due to the growth of consumer orientation against the background of the loss of moral values, as well as because of the needs of juveniles in inclusion in isolated groups on the background of a violation of relations with the environment.

Resumen
One effort to improve children's health and nutrition is to provide the best food for ages under two years (Baduta). If babies and children aged 6-24 months do not get enough nutrition from MP-ASI, it will cause disruption of growth and malnutrition. Medan Sunggal Health Center is one of the health centers in the fostered village of F.Kep USU. Based on the results of the toddler nutrition study conducted previously, there were still some nutritional problems, especially in the age group of Baduta. The main cause is the limited knowledge of mothers about Baduta nutrition and the skills of mothers in preparing food to meet nutritional needs with locally available food. Posyandu cadres who have been actively involved are still weak in providing breastfeeding and MP-ASI education. Even though Posyandu cadres are very potential their role as agents of change. Community service activities counseling for local food-based WHO MP-ASI for Posyandu cadres and baduta’ mothers was held on August 24, 2018, with the number of counseling participants thirty-five people. The end result is an increase in participants' knowledge and skills to shape good nutritional behavior in the family.

Resumen
Background: Family planning among people living with Human Immuno Deficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is proved to be effective in preventing Human Immuno Deficiency Virus transmission through sexual and mother to child transmission. We studied family planning practice among people living with Human Immuno Deficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome at reproductive age and its associated factors. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study in four anti retro viral therapy centers in eastern Nepal from September 2015 to February 2016. Data was collected among 200 samples by face to face interview using pretested semi-structured questionnaire. Bivariate analysis and logistic regression was performed to analyze the associated factors. Results: Fifty one percent (51%) of participants in reproductive age were currently using family planning methods with male condom being the most common. On bivariate analysis, higher income, higher education, having living children, involvement in decision making, low fertility desire, longer duration in anti-retroviral therapy, family planning knowledge and past counseling were found to be statistically significant in having higher family planning practice. In multivariate analysis, participants with duration in anti-retroviral therapy for 1- 4 years(AOR: 9.2, 95% CI: 1.7-47.5), both spousal involvement in decision making (AOR:37.1, 95% CI: 6.5-211.9) and family planning counseling (AOR: 3.4, 95% CI: 1.0-11.3) were found to have higher odds of family planning practice. Conclusions: Male condom is the most common method of family planning practice among HIV patients. Higher income, education status of both partners and having living childrens are the encouraging factor for better practice. Involvement of both partners is associated with higher use of family planning practices. Duration of anti-retroviral therapy use has positive impact on use of family planning practices. Keywords: Family planning practice; people living; Human Immuno Deficiency Virus

Resumen
Background: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of breast cancer therapy on fertility concerns and sexuality of young mothers with breast cancer in Germany. Methods: During a mother-child rehabilitation program, 1,191 young mothers with locoregional primary breast cancer, treated between 2006 and 2014, were recruited. Data included sociodemographic data, TNM stage, tumor biology, therapies, and patient-reported outcomes such as sexuality and fertility concerns. Results: The mean age at diagnosis was 40 years. Approximately a quarter of the patients stated that family planning had not been completed at the time of diagnosis. Nearly half of all patients had been informed as to how treatment could affect fertility, but counseling at a specialized fertility center was offered to only 13%. Of all patients, 4% took a consultation and 2% underwent fertility preservation procedures. Conclusion: Our study indicates that only a minority of patients is referred to fertility centers although family planning is incomplete at the time of diagnosis in about 25% of young women with breast cancer. Thus, these patients should not only be informed about the effects of treatment on fertility and sexuality, but should be referred to a fertility center.
