Resumen
Aim: This study aimed to access the changes of accommodation and vergence before and after mobile gaming. Settings and Design: This was a comparative study conducted in the outpatient department of ophthalmology. Accommodative facility and vergence facility were measured using flippers. Methods and Materials: A comparative study was conducted on 50 healthy subjects, in both males and females, with age groups ranging between 18 and 30 years. This study has been approved by the IRB Committee; 25 young emmetropic patients and 25 young myopic patients were included. The comparison of accommodative facility and vergence facility before and after mobile gaming for 1 h was measured to determine the level of changes in accommodation and vergence. All patients were undergone comprehensive ophthalmic examination including vision, subjective/objective refraction, anterior segment examination, and accommodative and vergence facilities measured using accommodative and vergence flippers. Results: The mean and standard deviation value significantly increase before and after mobile gaming in the right eye, left eye, and both eyes in case of accommodation facility, and there is a decrease in the mean and standard deviation value in case of vergence facility in both eyes before and after mobile gaming. Conclusion: The mean and standard deviation value significantly increase before and after mobile gaming in the right eye, left eye, and both eyes in case of accommodative facility, and there is a decrease in the mean and standard deviation value in case of vergence facility in both eyes before and after mobile gaming.

Resumen
The Shanghai soft X-ray Free-Electron Laser facility (SXFEL), which is the first X-ray FEL facility in China, is being constructed in two phases: the test facility (SXFEL-TF) and the user facility (SXFEL-UF). The test facility was initiated in 2006 and funded in 2014. The commissioning of the test facility was finished in 2020. The user facility was funded in 2016 to upgrade the accelerator energy and build two undulator lines with five experimental end-stations. The output photon energy of the user facility will cover the whole water window range. This paper presents an overview of the SXFEL facility, including considerations of the upgrade, layout and design, construction status, commissioning progress and future plans.

Resumen
The CERN Antiproton Decelerator (AD) provides antiproton beams with a kinetic energy of 5.3 MeV to an active user community. The experiments would profit from a lower beam energy, but this extraction energy is the lowest one possible under good conditions with the given circumference of the AD. The Extra Low Energy Antiproton ring (ELENA) is a small synchrotron with a circumference a factor of 6 smaller than the AD to further decelerate antiprotons from the AD from 5.3 MeV to 100 keV. Controlled deceleration in a synchrotron equipped with an electron cooler to reduce emittances in all three planes will allow the existing AD experiments to increase substantially their antiproton capture efficiencies and render new experiments possible. ELENA ring commissioning is taking place at present and first beams to a new experiment installed in a new experimental area are foreseen in 2017. The transfer lines from ELENA to existing experiments in the old experimental area will be installed during CERN Long Shutdown 2 (LS2) in 2019 and 2020. The status of the project and ring commissioning will be reported. This article is part of the Theo Murphy meeting issue ‘Antiproton physics in the ELENA era’.

Resumen
AbstractWe present the concept of a novel facility dedicated to massively-multiplexed spectroscopy. The telescope has a very wide field Cassegrain focus optimised for fibre feeding. With a Field of View (FoV) of 2.5 degrees diameter and a 11.4m pupil, it will be the largest etendue telescope. The large focal plane can easily host up to 16.000 fibres. In addition, a gravity invariant focus for the central 10 arc-minutes is available to host a giant integral field unit (IFU). The 3 lenses corrector includes an ADC, and has good performance in the 360-1300 nm wavelength range. The top level science requirements were developed by a dedicated ESO working group, and one of the primary cases is high resolution spectroscopy of GAIA stars and, in general, how our Galaxy formed and evolves. The facility will therefore be equipped with both, high and low resolution spectrographs. We stress the importance of developing the telescope and instrument designs simultaneously. The most relevant R&amp;D aspect is also briefly discussed.
