Texto completoThis thesis empirically investigates policy and managerial interventions in the digital economy and analyses their effectiveness and potential side effects. The first chapter uncovers an unintended policy effect of a public support scheme for firms in economically lagging regions in Germany. It exploits variation in the eligibility and the size of potential investment subsidies of firms in order to analyse the relationship with the firms' propensity to adopt cloud services. The empirical results demonstrate that the higher the potential subsidy for investments, the lower the incentive for firms to adopt cloud services. This unintended policy effect is highly relevant for policy makers, as the adoption of cloud services has been linked to various benefits on the firm as well as on the aggregate economy level. The second chapter analyses the pioneering online hate speech regulation on the social media platform X. It exploits the regulation, the German Network Enforcement Act, in a quasi-experimental approach to measure the causal impact of the law on the prevalence of hateful content in a target group of the German-speaking segment of X. The results imply a significant and robust decrease in the intensity and volume of hate speech in tweets tackling sensitive migration and religion related topics. Importantly, tweets tackling other topics as well as the tweeting style of users are not affected by the regulation, which is in line with its aim. This chapter highlights that legislation for combating harmful online content can significantly reduce the prevalence of hate speech and contributes to understanding the perspective implications of the European Digital Services Act.The third chapter investigates mechanisms of the Creator Economy, which capitalizes on a multi-sided business model, connecting content creators, users, and (sometimes) advertisers. Matching the needs of these different stakeholders is a complex challenge, as evidenced by the impact of the YouTube “Adpocalypse” in 2017, when major advertisers fled YouTube due to concerns about their ads appearing alongside objectionable content. This chapter exploits YouTube's subsequent content moderation efforts following the Adpocalypse to measure the cross-platform responses of content creators and content consumers on Patreon. Focusing on content creators that multi-home on YouTube and Patreon, the theoretical model and empirical evidence of this chapter confirm that these content creators respond strategically and shift their efforts toward Patreon. As a result, consumers also increase their use of Patreon through memberships, comments, and likes. However, we also find that YouTube's content moderation and the shift by content creators and consumers that follows, results in an increase in toxicity on Patreon. These findings indicate that governance rules of a single platform cannot be looked at in isolation. Instead, platform managers and policy makers need to consider potential cross-platform reactions of all stakeholders. The three chapters of this thesis demonstrate that interventions in the digital economy can be effective in shaping online discussions, but digital particularities such as rapidly changing technologies and substitution effects need to be carefully considered

Texto completoThe Insurance’s ability to shape and distribute risks and responsibilities relies on the exploitation of multiple sources of data. The large amount of information produced in the digital era can be mobilized in order to reconfigure the relationship between the insurers and the insureds. Behavioral insurance, which builds on the tracking and valuation of the insured’s daily behavioral data, constitutes a striking and politically sensitive case, even though it is a poorly documented phenomenon. Building on a qualitative investigation and the deployment of an economic sociology of information, this research sheds light on the origins and the concrete functioning of behavioral insurance. The research shows the context of emergence of these products and the ways these are designed and implemented. If the wield of power by insurance is as old as the institution itself, it appears that the forms of this wielding are unprecedented. On the basis of behavioral economics theories and the shaping of an informational pipelines built on the uses of tracking devices, the promoters of behavioral insurance attempt to digitally conduct insured’s daily conducts, and to act as conductors of the alignment of individual, entrepreneurial and societal interests. Behavioral insurance is an uncompleted attempt of shaping an algorithmic governmentality

Texto completoThe movie theatre manager articulates the cinematographic public place and the public place. He proposes a definition and an objectification of the cinema within the public place, depending how he « builds » an aesthetic experiment frame. Thus, the movie theatre manager is on a « crossroad ’: he has to ensure the (material and symbolical) frame required for an aesthetic experiment, depending on institutional practices and according to the spectators « demands». The business challenges of the movie theatre manager concern as well its competitive location, as its location within the cinematographic public place as well as within the public place. This thesis aims at reporting it, in an interdisciplinary way. It also commits a comment on the definitions of the cinema belonging to the public place as well as the function that this space grants it.The new digital devices can drive to the radicalisation of the mass media aspect of the movie (by multiplying the ways of reception). But they also offer new aesthetic configurations. Thus, the cinema has to be (re) defined according to these new possibilities (Part 1).It is all the film institution which is concerned by the problems due to the new technologies emergence and which tends to reduce the cinematographic experiential value to the mass media of the film aspect. Now the market exploits this logic more than the institutions do and so appears as the only guarantor of the quality (Part 2).However, the movie theatre manager is not only a diffuser; his work also is to proceeds a mediation. So, it is a matter of considering the sociability problematics committed by the theatre space and the conditions of creation of micro- agora, micro public place by the movie theatre (Part 3).It is only in a global seizure of both aspects of the cinema (mass media and micro-agora) that the movie theatre manager has a clear and an important function, that it must be revalued within the film public place (conclusion)
Petit, Richard. "L'économie écologique, une économie politique alternative ?" Lille 1, 1997. http://www.theses.fr/1997LIL12007.
Texto completoThis essay is devoted to a new school of thought in economics, ecological economics, whose authors (georgescu-roegen, daly, costanza,) are mainly american (but also french like rene passet) and it examines this new stream of thought to decide whether it can challenge the standard school and become an alternative political economy. For this purpose this essay tries to show the relations supposed to exist between the framework used by every thought in economics to represent man and nature and the analytical conclusions draw from it. The essay wants to show that ecological economics substitutes to the usual framework of standard economics a vision of man and nature inspired by scientific ecology and by radically different epistemological presuppositions. Therefore this school of thought is an implicit citicism of modernity, particularly of the break between man and nature. From these methodological principles propositions of economic policy are drawn, summed up under the title "suatainable development". This very concept leads to ethical ideas and ecological economics ask the normatif question in economics. The essay concludes that on one hand, ecological economics is rather radical and can be seen as an alternative political economy, but on another hand, it does not consider the political question and this constitutes the main weakness of this new school of thought. Its future depends on its capability to deal with this question

Texto completoMany historical studies dealt with economy of antic, medieval, modern and contemporary periods. They make an economic history, not an history of economy. Obviously, this notion knew various uses whose principal one refers to the idea administration of an area whose size did not cease increasing, of the house to planet while passing by the city and states national. However, an important step in this history is often neglected : her theological usage to qualify the salvating mission of Jesus Christ and the Church, known as the expression « economy of salvation ». The aim of this study is to retrace the institutional genealogy of this notion which, in the antic period, switches from « oίκoς » to « oίκoυμένη », then, in the Christian period, from Creation to « globalisation ». In addition to the analysis differentiated from the ancient economic order and of a Christian economic nature in their holding and bordering, it develops the link between the concept of economy and the idea of an economic justice, in order to highlight its fundamentaly normative essence. In the final analysis, it is a question of understanding that the current meaning of the economy, this science apparently purely phenomenologic, has in spite of her relative youth a very ancient history which partly explains her dominant position in the contemporary hierarchy of disciplines, such as the expression « political economy » means it

Texto completoThe purpose of this work is to provide an economic analysis of the French administrative judiciary, using the public choice theory. Unlike other legal systems, the french one features several types of judges, among them the juge administratif ; in charge of judging administrative conflicts. The closer integration of bureaucratic models and principal agent models does not provide any satisfactory explanation for this situation. The study of informational asymmetries between judges and political decision makers has to be completed with the analysis of the independence of the judiciary. The existing groups of judges compete with each other in order to get production rights from the political decision makers. The rent seeking theory allows us to explain the french duality of justice producers and the increasing activity of the juge administratif. The french legal system is no longer an exception but a particular equilibrium of a more general model describing any existing legal system. In such a context rent seeking behaviors are likely to increase social welfare. The influence of litigants on judicial decisions has to be considered as the result of the activities of particular interest groups. On the one hand, the judicial production of rules is a byproduct of the judges' activity of resolution of conflicts. Litigants are interested in the production of judicial decisions only in the context of a repeated game. On the other hand, the stability of this kind of rules is a consequence of the utility the jude administratif ; derives from reputation. The judicial production of favorable decisions to citizens, at the expense of bureaucracy, is analyzed by successively using the efficiency of law theory and the general interest and norms hierarchy concepts

This analysis is divided into four chapters. The first, an introduction chapter, treats of the politico economic situation at that era. The second part, treats of the economic thought in the Islamic legislation. This chapter refers basically to to Qoran and the Sunna. The third chapter recalls the economic thought given by several Arab-Islamic authors. This part is subdivided into three lines. 1 - Ethical, with its main source the papers of Saybani and Abou Al Hassan Abdejjabar. 2 - Practical, tracing the thoughts of Dimasqi, Ibn al Muqaffa'a and the papers of Hisba. 3 - anthropologic, which considers the papers of Ibn Haldun and Haqrizzi finally the 4th chapter. .

Texto completoThe goal of this thesis is to study the eductive-type of reasoning in negative feedback situations. We address it through an experimental approach. We construct this thesis around three questions: what mechanism is the eductive type of reasoning based on? Is this type of reasoning more likely to succeed in some particular situations? Can we find particular conditions improving the performance of the eductive reasoning? We identify the negative feedback environments as stabilizing situations for the eductive reasoning. Therefore, after defining the concept of eductive reasoning and characterizing negative feedback situations, we introduce and test in the first part of this thesis a negative feedback beauty contest game. Repetition, elicitation and circularity are the conditions of its success within a market situation. Therefore, in the second part of this thesis, we are interested in the application of this game in cobweb markets. Our thesis shows that, in negative feedback situations, reflective beliefs turn faster into intuitive beliefs, because through an eductive type of reasoning, the equilibrium is scanned several times, and useful information is increased. Consequently, a market with a negative feedback structure is stable and the agents within this type of market hold coordinated beliefs

Texto completoThis thesis examines the interaction between political regimes and economical efficiency, especially the relation between democracy and growth. This yet old question has not found a clear answer until now. Considering the importance of political regimes on economic growth, it remains though crucial in economics. The methodology adopted here consists of a comparison between the results of the theoretical literature, those of previous empirical studies, and those of our different econometrical models. All these tools of analysis converge to estimate a weakly positive impact of democracy on economic growth. However, this impact is rarely significant. The first chapter of the thesis aims at defining what is democracy and how to qualify and quantify this concept. We selected some existing indicators of democracy and create some new. This chapter ends with an historical and geographical approach of the democracy. It shows some similarity between democracy and economic growth (repeated cycles, regional diffusion…) The second chapter makes a synthesis of the theoretical literature on the subject. It shows that the theory is rather inconclusive. For example, democracy is said to be better for the guaranty of property rights, or against corruption but is too sensitive to the pressure of the lobbies and prefers to sacrifice the future for the present. Moreover, globalization does not seem to influence the relation between democracy and growth. The third chapter analyses the relation with some simple statistical tools such as the correlation coefficient. We find a weakly positive relation between democracy and growth. The fourth chapter uses panel data regressions and confirms the previous results of the third chapter. Furthermore, it shows that freedom of thoughts is the best component of democracy that promotes economic growth. Finally, the regressions confirm the fact that democracy enhances economic development

Texto completoThis thesis deals with a supposedly elusive and controversial metaphor : embeddedness. With the works of economic sociology, we first analyze the ways in which this process is envisaged in the theory of solidarity economy, in viewpoint of reciprocity (i); by getting complex methodological individualism, we then propose to expand this représentation through a review of the process of recomposition of the social whole (ii); using inputs from institutional economics, this analysis leads to a representation of disembeddedness, which teaches us about the process of embedding itself. Then we consider two complementary and non exhaustive perspectives, the symbolic and territorial embeddedness (iii), making the solidarity economy an economic solution in front of the political problem of disembeddedness

Texto completoIn this work we studied how to build an economy funded on an ethical and conceptual base directly issued from the texts and values of Islam. Many questions could be revealed in this context: How could be established an economic system based on Islamic values in order to achieve the aimed economical goals? If such a system could be realized, how would it work? Could Islam present an economical and social system that can be considered as an alternative to capitalism? Is there any financial system that could be described and presented as an Islamic economy? What is the Islamic approach of economy? Is there really a need for such approach? Does the Islamic economy have its own institutional context? The first part of this thesis is dedicated to study the relation between ethics and economy in general (through the works of well-known economists and philosophers like Sen and Rawls), as well as the relation between Islamic ethics and economy in particular : In the second part, we discussed how to take Islamic ethics in consideration from an economical point of view; this application could be done through the study of Islamic finance

Texto completoThis thesis argues Chat the project of Critique of political economy is entirely dependant on the nature of social labor in general, from which Marx derives the categories and laves of the political economy. Effectively, starting with his first economical works, Mari considers social labor as a group of production activities, in such a way that each society is characterized by the way it exchanges and assigns these activities. However, the political economy, from mercantilism to neo-classicism, conceived and still perceives work for its product and results, and only considers the exchange of products as social labor. The political economy observes living labor as a purely negative object, as a sacrifice or necessary commitment to fulfil individual needs. For Marx, if value-added labor is defined as a specific method of exchanging living labor, this results in a new definition of general and abstract labor: it is no longer defined as an object or unit of value, but first and foremost as an expenditure of labor force - of muscles, nerves and brain. From this, Marx derives the dual nature of labor, which lie strongly insists on and which he considers to be his primary contribution to the science of economics. Marx dominates the critical analysis: the way in which categories and laves of capitalist production are assigned, and the nature of the criticism of these categories and laves, which still survives in the political economy to this day

Texto completoThis research gets itself organised into four distinct parts in the purpose to observe the behaviour of the individuals facing art and cultural goods. The first part analyses five cultural activities: cinema, television, books and reading, entertainment and discographic production, and plastic arts. This analyse is based on available statistics. The second part (sociology) tries to understand with several criterion the place and the reception of culture in our societies. Economics of culture (third part) turns its analyse into the nature of the goods and the formation of their value in the purpose to better understand the behaviour of the potential or real consummers. The determination of these goods as currency goods enable to determine better the approach of these specific goods. The last part (European cultural policies) is interested in cultural policies in the twelve countries of the Community. From what has been determined before, it seems that cultural policies could be similar to monetary policies. To conclude, we can observe that these goods stay as mystery and that their apprehension could create difficulties within an Europe which is only based on trade without preoccupation about culture which continues to specify these countries which must create an union. If it had to do it again, it would be necessary to think a plan for this Europe, a society plan directed toward cultural terms

Texto completoDo environmental policies lead to a reduction of the competitiveness of the polluting firms ? The theory of industrial organization, with its processing of products differenciation, of research and development and of adoption of new technologies, is particularly adapted to answer this question. The environmental policy modifies the arbitration of the firm on the goods market (price, quantity, quality and variety) and, upstream, between its technological choices. It has an effect on the market structure and on the position of polluting firms. Thus, it constitutes a new incentive source for the firms who want to keep their market shares. In this thesis, we lead a reflection in two steps : in the first part, we show how the industrial economics with its microeconomic modelisation of differentiation and innovation helps to deal with our subject ; in the second part, we build specific models of competition for innovation based on some empirical studies to settle the debate. Our models take the form of three stage games between two firms, each of them located in different countries, and the regulator of each country. In the first stage of the game, the regulators choose the level of the environmental tax to impose on their polluting firms. This stage is conditioned by their will to cooperate to wrestle with pollution. Taking as given the tax level(s), firms are engaged in an innovation race to win a patent for the utilization of a clean technology. At the end of this stage, firms compete on the good market (competition a la cournot or a la bertrand, homogeneous or differentiated market). We show the important role of the tax and of the ecological consciousness of consumers in the firms incentive to innovate. We determine the optimal cooperative or non cooperative policies

Texto completoThe object of the study is to investigate the impact of public policy or forestry. The essence is to determine whether public policy has reached its objective of making firms engaged in exploiting forestry resources in the Congo adopt an optimal approach towards the trade-of between the preservation of the ecological balance and the requirements of the profit maximization objective. In this respect, we have had to conduct our analysis around two principal issues, namely (1) the problem of disinvestment and (2) the wish of government to achieve a certain degree of transformation before export. We have analyzed the disinvestment phenomenon using the C. Khang model. The a analysis reveals a significant differential in long period stationary stock levels, depending on whether exploiting firms take externalities into account or not. Still on the disinvestment problem, we have been able to appreciate by means of the Clark-Nunro and the Cropper-Lee-Pannu models, the necessary and sufficient economic conditions which lead to the extinction of renewable natural resources. The assessment show s that public sector enterprises are not adequately adapted to the role of stimulating the forestry sector, due largely to their excessive dependence on government and the preponderance of the redistribution function over that of accumulation. On the side of mixed firms, transport, and domestic marketing conditions reduce firm effectiveness. In spite of heavy government investment in the forestry sector, the pre-1974 problems of ecological balance and sectorial industrialization, among others, persist. The situation then calls for a radical change in governent policy and economic philosophy as a prerequisite to its new participation in the sector

Texto completoThis thesis aims at assessing the consequences of fiscal policies partaking in environmental policies. This approach is original in that different generations responsible for intergenerational externalities are being taken into account. In a first chapter, we raise the question whether conciliations between private agents' span - limited by the life cycle hypothesis - and the environment long term span are possible. This temporal op, position is a source of iniquity since agents' selfish behaviour precludes any intergenerational obliga, tion contract. The second chapter characterizes the necessary conditions for the obtention of a double dividend, i. E. An improvement of non-environmental welfare when the revenue of the tax is recycled by a reduction in the rate of social contributions. We then show how to determine an optimal combination of envi, ronmental tax and social contribution which do not deteriorate current generations' welfare. The achievement of this second dividend, compatible with the first one - the improvement of the envi, ronmental quality - lays down specific conditions with regard to the economy capital intensity. This result emphasizes how important the choices of the specifications used to evaluate the double divi, dend hypothesis are. In the third chapter, the revenue of the tax is assigned to pollution abatement. We simultaneously consider a public abatement pollution sector financed by a tax, and private voluntary contributions to the abatement of pollution. We show that, under certain conditions, this tax may lead to a double divi, dend. In a last chapter, we build an overlapping generation general equilibrium model applied to eco, nomic policies of environmental protection. We distinguish two categories of households (skilled and unskilled workers) as well as two productive sectors (standard and green). Numerical results show that the assignment of the environmental tax revenues to pollution abatement is more apt to generate a double dividend situation

Texto completoThe economic thought takes form, during the chosen period (from F. List, who elucidates the links between nation and economics, to present days) inside the specific political, economic and philosophical context of a nation not yet formed. The present thesis argues that in spite of roots in common, this thought can be divided into a dualist vision of economics and nation determinated by historical constraints, and a reconcilatory vision which progresses towards the loosening of these constraints and elaborating the desired order - one which seeks to equilibrate idea and reality, the spiritual and the material. Eventually, the different visions of man in history are responsable for the different concepts of economics and nation, the ways proposed to realise the desired society and the constitutional choices for its integration. This proposition will be backed up by the analysis of representative systems of economic thought : - first, the main philosophical aspects, to discern the ethical "stakes" of this thought : Kant, Fichte, Hegel, Nietzsche, the "neo - kantian and critical historical" philosophy, the School of Frankfurt, Habermas; - next, economic thought, from List to the period of national socialisme : Bismarck and conservative thought, list, Schmoller, Sombart, Weber (the historical school of "Nationalokonomie"), Marx and Bernstein, representing the two branches of socialist thought ; - finally, the theories of Eucken (the "ordo - liberalisme") and Glotz, representing contemporary social democratic thought. We shall examine the potential viability of the elaborated order models, especially by analysing the compatibility of the proposed concepts and the relation between the economic and political order. Their ethical foundations will be made clear to establish the link between the vision of man and that of economics and nation. The conclusion will regroup the analysis of the differents systems of economic thought into either a dualist or a reconciling vision

Texto completoThis thesis contributes to the integration of limited attention within the economic theory. We argue that attentional allocation processes can be understood as a production process with the allocated attention (the quantity of attentional resources invested in a decision) as an input and the effective attention (the amount of information contained in that decision) as an output. Borrowing methods from psychology and cognitive sciences, we propose three essays to shedding light on these processes. In the first chapter, we manipulate the presentation order between reward information and perceptual evidence in a two-alternative forced-choice task. The allocated attention is controlled, and we measure effective attention with a Signal Detection model. We found that the last information presented is more weighted in the decision. We attribute this effect to the division of attention. The second chapter proposes an experiment where participants pay costly attention to reduce the uncertainty of a discrimination task. We measure both allocated attention (through the response time) and effective attention (through performance). This experiment allows the study of attentional social dilemmas (situations where attention is costly for individuals but beneficial for the group). We highlight a discrepancy between monetary elicited social preferences and the behaviors exhibited in our attentional social dilemma. The last chapter proves that a model of revealed preferences under stochastic attention can be implemented and tested empirically. We provide new characterization and revealed preference theorems for a general version of Brady and Rehbeck’s model (2016, Econometrica). We propose and analyze – with numerical simulations – statistic procedures to test the axioms, to reveal preferences, and to measure effective attention. We test the internal validity of the model with a selective attention task, where participants choose an alternative among distractors and we find that most of the participants behave in accordance with the model and reveal coherent preferences

Texto completoBetween informed space and geographical spaceWe observe a wide range of territorial e-mediation’s concrete fields, statutes, functions and uses, according to socioeconomics, political, geographical or ecological contexts. This diversity reveals an epistemologically productivelink between digital, geographical and informized spaces. This thesis aims to circumscribe and deepen thosearticulated, sometimes divergent, complex dimensions, keys parameters of action and territorial development.Indeed, in the face of the major issues, socio-economic, ecological, societal and multicultural that weigh more orless uniformly today on the world, these dimensions of digital territorial mediation, are essential and necessary tobuild specific development models in which digital is one of the most significant. Moreover the higher the territoriale-mediation obeys a logic of branching, from the global to the local, the more it favors the use of territorial data thatare easy to track, capture, analyze and merchandise by the Data-Broker. This relative homogenization and thisqualitative impoverishment of the numerical data available on the territories, can induce new political normativities, limit the theoretical-practical researches on the social and usages innovations and lead to a numerical cooling of theterritories. This central notion of territorial e-mediation, is a « Boundary Objects » operates in this thesis as a amatrix for interpreting territories from which a theoretical-practical frameworks is designed. Texto completoThe aim of this thesis is to explore the different aspects of the concept of hysteresis, and to examine its import and the issues it raises for the analysis of unemployment. More precisely, the work tries to determine to what extent, and under what conditions, hysteresis gives rise to operational models of unemployment that differ from models whose dynamics are founded on the Natural Rate of Unemployment (NRU) or on the Non Accelerating Inflation Rate of Unemployment (NAIRU) concepts. The thesis consists of three chapters. The first one proposes a detailed analysis of the Othersʺ of hysteresis, the NRU and the NAIRU, and of their associated macroeconomic dynamics. The second chapter examines three approaches to hysteresis in economics, and the problems associated with them. . These approaches are hysteresis seen as the presence of a unit root, hysteresis conceived as a theory of endogenous structural change, and hysteresis defined as a process of disequilibrium adjustment. The last chapter is about genuineʺ hysteresis, the definition of which corresponds to the definition given to the phenomenon of hysteresis in scientific fields like physics or biology. Apart from establishing a typology of the main models of hysteresis, and providing a detailed critical analysis of the different models of the NRU, NAIRU and hysteresis, this thesis also makes its own contribution to applied economics, by constructing and then testing hysteretic versions of Okun's law and the Phillips curveʺ
Auffray-Seguette, Marie. "Les biens de ce monde : l'économie vue comme espace de recomposition de la religion dans la modernité". Paris, EHESS, 2008. http://www.theses.fr/2008EHES0137.
Texto completoThe general goal is to identify, in modernity, the recomposition of religious universals. The observation relates to the economic sphere. The approach follows Max Weber's "disenchantment of the world" theory. But contrary to this theory, which presented capitalist economy as the end of religion, here the capitalist economy is seen as a space for religious recomposition. Religion is understood here as a way to establish social order upon a process of objectivation, which in turn would be based on an illusion of heterodetermination. This thesis intends to show that the recomposition of modem religion takes place along the same dynamics that are supposed to originate religious decline. These dynamics - the rationalisation movement, the autonomization of values and the rise of individualism-are successively considered as heirs of religious principles which turn the secularization movement against itself

Taking advantage of the opportunity offered by the Internet to address its audiences directly without going through the "bottleneck" of the traditional gatekeeping system, the terrorist organization Daech (ISIS) has been able to construct a polarizing discourse, capable of addressing the individual as well as the collective, its followers as well as its enemies. This particular context constitutes the general problem of this research: before digital media, terrorist organizations depended on traditional media to make themselves known to the public and had limited room for manoeuvre to speak for themselves. By bypassing the traditional gatekeeping system, Daech was able to construct a particularly effective jihadist propaganda narrative. Not only has this propaganda transcended state and cultural boundaries, but it has also contributed to the radicalization of thousands of individuals who, since 2014, have joined Daech's ranks. This work aims to contribute to the understanding of the emergence of the terrorist propaganda of the jihadist organization Daech through digital media in a narrative and enunciative perspective. In this perspective, we have formulated the following research questions: How is Daech's propaganda narrative constructed in the digital media? What are its enunciative and narrative characteristics? In order to answer these questions, we have mobilized a methodology of discourse analysis based on a semiotic approach, the study of narrativity according to the proposals of Greimas and Courtés. This research has allowed us to highlight the narrative foundations of this digital propaganda. Daech's discourse constitutes a unique digital experience to this day: these propagandists have mobilized all possible means to construct a discourse that is as legitimate as possible, borrowing for this purpose both from an extremist liturgy of Islam and from Western media and cultural genres.
