Resumen

In the modern world of globalization, Digital Forensic science has emerged as a pivotal investigative tool for solving complex cases. This discipline proves particularly effective in deciphering digital evidence. In this study, we ventured to examine a Network Area Storage (NAS) device, specifically one containing three hard disks. Our objective was to validate that the Hash value generated before the duplication process matches identically with the Hash value post-imaging or duplication. Our findings demonstrate that through reconfiguration and recovery of RAID 0, previously deleted files can be restored using the methods outlined in our research. In essence, this study establishes that: (1) Reconstruction of RAID configurations is feasible, (2) Recovery of deleted files from a RAID 0 system is achievable, and (3) Such restored data can serve as admissible evidence in court.

Resumen

We propose a method for digital printing which is novel and efficient. Digital printing is a technical breakthrough in the field of traditional printing and dyeing industry, which is also an effective solution to solve the three high problem, namely, high energy consumption, high noise, high pollution, in the traditional printing and dyeing industry. However, the widely used methods in printing and dyeing system have some deficiencies, such as the low performance of the PC processor and the limitation of transferring data by parallel interface. The proposed method takes advantage of multi-core processor, DMA and RAID technology. Multi-core processor can speed up the processing of the print command and the print images, while DMA technology can minimize the intervention of the CPU to input/output operations which makes the CPU more effective to process the images. Furthermore, the use of RAID technology can improve the access speed of the hard disk which leading to the efficiency improvement of the entire computer system. As we can see that the combination of those three technologies can greatly improve the efficiency of digital printing machine, thus speeding up the popularity of digital printing.

Resumen

The digital transformation disrupts the various professional domains in different ways, though one aspect is common: the unified platform known as cloud computing. Corporate solutions, IoT systems, analytics, business intelligence, and numerous tools, solutions and systems use cloud computing as a global platform. The migrations to the cloud are increasing, causing it to face new challenges and complexities. One of the essential segments is related to data storage. Data storage on the cloud is neither simplistic nor conventional; rather, it is becoming more and more complex due to the versatility and volume of data. The inspiration of this research is based on the development of a framework that can provide a comprehensive solution for cloud computing storage in terms of replication, and instead of using formal recovery channels, erasure coding has been proposed for this framework, which in the past proved itself as a trustworthy mechanism for the job. The proposed framework provides a hybrid approach to combine the benefits of replication and erasure coding to attain the optimal solution for storage, specifically focused on reliability and recovery. Learning and training mechanisms were developed to provide dynamic structure building in the future and test the data model. RAID architecture is used to formulate different configurations for the experiments. RAID-1 to RAID-6 are divided into two groups, with RAID-1 to 4 in the first group while RAID-5 and 6 are in the second group, further categorized based on FTT, parity, failure range and capacity. Reliability and recovery are evaluated on the rest of the data on the server side, and for the data in transit at the virtual level. The overall results show the significant impact of the proposed hybrid framework on cloud storage performance. RAID-6c at the server side came out as the best configuration for optimal performance. The mirroring for replication using RAID-6 and erasure coding for recovery work in complete coherence provide good results for the current framework while highlighting the interesting and challenging paths for future research

In early 2012, 76 heavily armed police conducted a raid on a house in Auckland, New Zealand. The targets were Kim Dotcom, a German national with a NZ residency visa, and several colleagues affiliated with Megaupload, an online subscription-based peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing facility. The alleged offences involved facilitating unlawful file sharing and United States federal criminal copyright violations. Following the raid, several court cases provide valuable insights into emerging ‘global policing’ practices (Bowling and Sheptycki 2012) based on communications between sovereign enforcement agencies. This article uses these cases to explore the growth of ‘extraterritorial’ police powers that operate ‘across borders’ (Nadelmann 1993) as part of several broader transformations of global policing in the digital age.

Specifically, the presence of the internet caused SARA become easier to find, social media platforms and online news portals have become tools for the spread of hoax and hate speech, behind it all there are people who are referred as buzzers. This study aims to show how the role of the buzzer in disseminating information and inhibiting the spread of religious moderation among the Islamic community. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research data was collected purposively and preferably sourced from literature studies and documents that examine the buzzer phenomenon in Indonesia. The results of the research show that in this digital era, buzzers are troubling and threatening the nation. Buzzers have a strong position because of the influence and large following they have. Public awareness is important because from there we can unite to fight buzzer attacks. But the buzzer is not completely negative, the buzzer can also be used to spread positive da'wah messages.

June 28, 2019, was the 50th anniversary of the first day of the Stonewall Uprising. In the early morning hours, a series of spontaneous protests began at the Stonewall Inn following a police raid. Just over one year later, on July 1, 1970, librarian Israel Fishman organized the first meeting of the ALA Task Force on Gay Liberation at the ALA Annual Conference in Detroit. A few months later, activist Barbara Gittings, created the organization’s first “Gay Bibliography,” complete with the “Gay Is Good” slogan she adopted from her friend, Washington, D.C. activist, Franklin Kameny. She distributed 3,000 copies at the ALA Annual Conference in 1971. Gittings knew from experience the challenges of researching the history of sexual minorities.

In high-energy physics experiments, the acquisition of vast quantities of data poses formidable challenges in terms of efficient storage and management. We explore the application of the digital twin concept for SSD RAID pools, wherein digital replicas of physical systems are created to augment the efficiency of data storage within HEP experiments. By developing digital twins of storage systems, this research seeks to facilitate the continuous monitoring, comprehensive analysis, and strategic optimization of various workloads within the HEP domain. The key objectives of this study include the development of a digital twin for a data storage system and the formulation of generative models to assess the performance of the data storage system performance under specific configurations and data load parameters.

BackgroundRheumatoid arthritis(RA) is a systemic chronic autoimmune disease that involves inflammatory arthritis with varying severity showing various symptoms like pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances impacting and reducing the quality of life(QoL).[1] Patients with RA experience reduced QoL, physical and emotional health as well as level of independence etc and they are more likely to suffer from anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, with high levels of associated mortality and suicide.[3] Addressing the need to improve the quality of life and symptom burden for these patients are vital where Digital solutions play an incredibly significant role. These solutions are also helpful in self-management of disease and symptoms.ObjectivesTo assess the impact of a digital health program on the quality of life and symptom burden of patients suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis.MethodsAn interventional trial including an RA patient support program was delivered by Wellthy Care digital platform over a period of 16 weeks. Recruitment of 30 patients was done using a convenient sampling method. Patients who were diagnosed with RA were included in the trial. Patients who were under 18, pregnant/lactating, and with hearing disability were excluded. The program included interventions such as physiotherapy sessions, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) counselling, tracking of symptoms, lifestyle counselling, disease awareness and self-management training of symptoms at home. The rheumatoid arthritis impact of disease (RAID) [2] questionnaire, a validated questionnaire was administered to assess seven important patient domains of disease impact (pain, function, fatigue, sleep disturbance, emotional well-being, physical well-being, coping) at baseline and at the end of the program.ResultsThe Mean RAID score of the patients at baseline was 4.99 and at endline was 0.737. The impact percentage of program in improvement of symptoms like Pain, Difficulty in doing daily physical activities, Fatigue, Sleep difficulty, level of physical well-being, level of emotional well being were 85.66%, 86.40%, 88.81%, 96.47%, 85.66%, 93.89% respectively. The Paired T-test witnessed significant improvement in symptoms like pain, sleep disturbances, fatigue, difficulty in performing physical activities (p<0.001).ConclusionDigital therapeutics play a highly significant role in improving the quality of life and reducing the symptom burden of RA patients. The digital patient support program led to meaningful changes in a patient’s quality of life as well as symptoms within a few weeks, even when the patient previously failed to experience a good prognosis during the treatment. Patients reported a highly significant improvement in Pain, Fatigue and Sleep disturbances, which improved the quality of life and patient’s outlook of the overall treatment and adherence. These digital solutions can be considered as holistic care and integrated with routine supportive care in practice to provide improved patient-centred care. The current issue that affects Sub-Saharan Africa is the proliferation of unlicensed digital credit providers. These digital credit providers employ the use of information and communication technology in making their loan products attractive. Their loan recovery methods are crude and life-threatening coupled with a very high-interest rate. This article discusses the current situation in Nigeria and Kenya. The Nigerian government, through joint action, carried out a raid on these digital credit providers, freezing their bank accounts and ordering that google play store and apple store should remove them from their platforms. Kenya has been able to put these digital credit providers under the regulation of the Central Bank of Kenya. In its press release dated March 21, 2022, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) announced the publication by Legal Notice No. 46 of March 18, 2022, of the Central Bank of Kenya (Digital Credit Providers) Regulations, 2022. The Regulations were issued in accordance with Sections 57(1), 57(3), and 57(4) of the Central Bank of Kenya Act (the CBK Act). They provide for the licensing and oversight of previously unregulated Digital Credit Providers (DCPs). The Regulations are now operational This article examines the regulations and concludes by recommending that Nigeria should emulate Kenya by publishing Central Bank of Nigeria Digital Credit Providers Regulations.

This article describes how in this digital age, storage devices have been permitting the design of systems with the capacity to handle massive amount of diverse types of data. Real-time storage devices have been using complex architectures to accommodate the exponential increase of generated content. Hard drives have been at the core of most of storage systems. Estimating the reliability and the time to failure of such devices will be of great value. Weibull distribution has been widely used to assess the reliability of many systems. In this article, the three parameter Weibull distribution and Cuckoo search algorithm are combined to optimize the reliability and the maintenance cost of a RIAD 60 storage system. The numerical results show that using the proposed approach in this article, a RAID 60 system could reach its optimal reliable state by swapping less reliable drives by others more (used or new) reliable, whichever, is optimal according to the sought-after reliability threshold.

In 1997 the prefabricated house of the TARA Sakabe project was constructed very near to the Photon Factory ring, and many computers were installed for crystallographic data handling. A data server with high speed and large capacity was required to improve the efficiency of the protein data collection system which integrated a `high'-security computer network. The new network, based on a 100 Mbps Ethernet, consists of a DEC AlphaServer 4000 with a 115 Gbytes RAID disk, DLT as a backup device, CISCO PIX-32 as a firewall between the TARA private network and KEK, and a 100 Mbps switching hub to be linked to imaging-plate readers and workstations. Therefore, the digital output data from the imaging-plate reader are directly recorded on the server disk resulting in higher efficiency of the users' beam time. In contrast to recording on tape, there is very little problem with backup resulting in a high confidence in the data-collection system.

The aim of the article is to study the features of the integration of holistic marketing and digital technologies, allowing to transform the fashion industry and provide brands with the opportunity to find novel ways to express their identity and interact with their audience. Generalizing scientific approaches to defining the essence of the concepts of «holistic marketing» and «digital marketing», the article determines the relevance of integrating these two concepts as used in the fashion industry, which should foster the improving of the quality of goods and services, reinforcing the interaction between brands and consumers, thus increasing their role in the implementation of the conception of holistic marketing. It is substantiated that digital marketing allows fashion brands to increase their online presence through a variety of channels. Social media and other digital platforms allow brands in the fashion industry to interact directly with their audience through comments, messages, and reviews, thus providing manufacturers of clothing and accessories with additional opportunities to receive feedback from consumers and improve their assortment. Digital marketing allows fashion brands to reach an international audience and expand their global presence without significant infrastructure costs, a promotion can even be more cost-effective compared with traditional advertising. At the same time, the closure of some stores of foreign brands for security reasons, the change of seasons and the growing popularity of the domestic range of goods «made in Ukraine» created opportunities for the recovery of the fashion business in Ukraine. Digital platforms are used to convey information about a brand’s commitment to sustainable and ethical practices, which attracts the attention of socially conscious consumers. For example, the social project Under Sirens, organized in Europe, aims at drawing the world’s attention to the russian-led war going on in Ukraine. The fashionable Ukrainian brands labels incorporate soundtracks and, making use of augmented reality, turn into air raid sirens very alike to the alarms that howl in Ukrainian cities every now and then.

Abstract. Modern surveying technologies allow to obtain a digital copy of cultural assets, which can be more or less adherent to reality. When 3D reconstruction concerns historical architecture, it is necessary to deal with a series of issues that may concern choosing of the most suitable survey methodologies, processing of acquired data, management of large amounts of data, making data always upgradable and easily editable, etc. By addressing these issues in advance and adopting an extremely interdisciplinary approach in the entire process, it is possible to identify the best methodologies to use in order to achieve a versatile 3D model.This paper describes an ongoing research aimed at the creation of a multifunctional digital model of one of the most important 17th century wooden theatres in Europe, the Farnese Theatre in Parma. The main aim is to generate a tool able to respond simultaneously to the different needs that have arisen in recent years, mostly related to the documentation, preservation, valorization and dissemination of knowledge about the monument. This article describes the project and the adopted methodology, focusing mainly on survey and modeling phases. Particular attention will also be paid to the process of reconstruction of the original decorations of the proscenium, completely lost after an Allied air raid in 1944. The illustrated methodologies define a possible workflow to be adapted in other similar contexts. Finally, possible uses of the generated model will be also briefly illustrated.

Abstract The article presents a mixed-methods study that examines how undergraduate students of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) sustain their practices of learning English during the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war in 2022–2023. In total, 33 undergraduate EFL students (henceforth – participants) took part in the study. In order to gain insight into their sustainable learning practices, the participants were requested to write a short reflective essay titled “My Thoughts on How I Learn English during the War”. The participants were instructed to write their essays in English within a one-week timeframe. Seeking to identify and classify a range of sustainable practices related to the ways the participants learnt English during the Russo-Ukrainian war, their reflective essays were analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. The analysis of the participants’ essays revealed the following learning practices that, according to the participants, helped them to sustain their EFL learning trajectory in the wartime EFL contexts: (i) participation in online EFL courses, (ii) communication with the native speakers of English on social networking sites (e.g., Instagram), and (iii) the combination of EFL learning activities offered at the participants’ university. The findings are discussed in detail further in the article through the lens of sustainable multilingualism development. Specifically, we argue that the development of multilingualism in the time of crises is feasible and sustainable, especially if it is coupled with an EFL learner’s inner psychological factors that are further facilitated by the external support offered by the digital learning environments that are (i) institutionalised and systematic, and (ii) extra-mural and unstructured (in other words, digitally wild).

Abstract: “Living an Abolitionist Life” is at once a testimony to the everyday praxis of abolition feminism and a theoretical framework for understanding the abolitionist impulse characteristic of an anti-carceral Asian American feminist praxis. Using Sara Ahmed’s feminist scholarship as a guide, the author observes various shifts from the individual to the collective, distilling the urgency of abolition feminism into a praxis of everyday choices. The first case study sits with the cultural politics of emotion, reviewing reactions to anti-Asian racism during the COVID-19 pandemic including discourse surrounding calls for hate crimes legislation and mass appeal through the hashtag #StopAsianHate. Next, the author considers collective care through Ahmed’s notion of “becoming a feminist ear,” foregrounding 18 Million Rising, an Asian American digital-first organization that authored Call on Me, Not the Cops , an intergenerational resistance to policing. The article ends with a discussion on orientation and orientalism, revisiting the case of Yang Song, a Chinese migrant massage worker who fell four stories to her death in Flushing, Queens during a police raid in 2017. Holding on to the liberatory potential of Asian American abolition feminism, the author writes less with the intention to evidence the indisputable worth of Asian American abolition feminism and more to offer a way of noticing everyday gestures of being in political struggle by centering those who live abolitionist lives.

Abstract The opening lines of Toni Morrison’s Paradise (1997) are undeniably some of her most famous: “They shoot the white girl first. With the rest they can take their time. No need to hurry out there… . there is time and the day has just begun” (3). While the novel eventually reveals the identity of those who constitute the “they” of the opening action, in a move that has received much critical attention, it famously leaves the first victim anonymous. This essay, however, draws our attention to “the rest.” What of the infamous black women of Paradise for whom the violence is slow and drawn out or the many more in our country whose names we say to rebuke a system of injustice that continues to insist that there is “no need to hurry” for “there is time and the day has just begun”? Privileging a reading of time over space, the essay puts Morrison’s Paradise in conversation with Rob Nixon’s Slow Violence and the Environmentalism of the Poor (2011) and Moya Bailey’s Misogynoir Transformed: Black Women’s Digital Resistance (2021) in order to address the urgent need for a temporal reframing of anti-Black violence. Paying particular care to what Karla Holloway describes as the “comparative laxity” to which Black women in this country have historically been subjected and the extent to which that comparative laxity persists in the face of spectacular scenes of violence, the essay concludes with an examination of Breonna Taylor’s murder in 2020. It considers how the events that resulted in her death, like the fictional raid that frames Morrison’s novel, are byproducts of white supremacist systems of slow violence and misogynoir designed to wear down the opposition by attrition.

Resumen

Aim. The development of digital technology brings about the need to digitize data with their subsequent storage on digital media. Regardless of how information is stored, it is of value and its loss may cause harm. There are a number of preventive measures (hardware and logical redundancy of various types) to prevent such loss. Should the preventive measures – due to certain reasons and circumstances – fail to protect the data and access to the latter was lost, it must be recovered in a complete and timely manner. In this context, a need arises for a data recovery algorithm that would take into account the hardware features of today’s storage media, their logical structure, as well as the specificity of the stored data. Methods. There are two approaches to information recovery, i.e., all-purpose and personal. The all-purpose approach involves using a minimal number of programs and tools that work with all items. The personal approach implies a large number of programs and tools that address specific issues associated with the loss of access to information. That enables a faster, higher-quality recovery as compared to the all-purpose approach. Additionally, personal programs are normally cheaper than all-purpose software. All-purpose information recovery tools do not provide quality results when applied to large numbers of failure scenarios. A single utility may not be enough for resolving all issues caused by an incident. A readily available template for obtaining an acceptable result does not exist either. Aside from personal software, there are other alternatives to the all-purpose approach, i.e., the manual data recovery programs and hardware and software systems. In cases of minor logical faults (master boot record corruption) manual data recovery software is used. If a drive is affected by critical hardware issues, hardware and software systems are used. Results. A method of recovering data on storage media of various types was created. It includes an all-purpose and a personal approaches to information recovery, use of software for manual data recovery, as well as hardware and software systems. The method allows recovering data of popular extensions from common file systems and storage media. Compatibility with RAID arrays of all levels is provided. Programs were selected out of eight sets using the analytic hierarchy process with the priority given to the performance criterion. The method was submitted to a number of tests. Testing involved emulation of incidents associated with the loss of access to data. The cost of eliminating various incidents using the developed methodology is estimated. Conclusions. Based on the obtained test results, conclusions are set forth regarding the efficiency of the personal approach to information recovery.

BackgroundDigital health applications (DHA) became indispensable patient companions accelerated by the current COVID pandemic [1]. In 2020, for the first time worldwide, a regulatory framework to reimburse DHA was established in Germany. To get listed as a DHA, preliminary evidence needs to be generated – next to fulfilling highest standards in quality and safety. The DHA ABATON RA consists of two parts; 1) digital shared-decision-making (SDM) including choosing an appropriate electronic patient reported outcome (ePRO) instrument and the respective ePRO target for the next visit, 2) remote patient monitoring and ePRO tracking by the patient. Hereby, ABATON RA supports a digitally guided Treat-to-Target (T2T) approach.ObjectivesThe objective of this study is to evaluate a potentially beneficial effect for the patient by using ABATON RA.MethodsThree-armed, partially blinded multicenter trial (RCT) including RA patients who regularly use a smartphone. Patients attend 3 visits, 3 months apart (T0, T3, T6), with one follow-up visit (T9). Intervention group (IG): Patients use ABATON RA. Via SDM patients and rheumatologists choose a specific ePRO and respective treatment target for the next visit in three months, e.g. RAID ≤4. Control group (CG): Standard of care treatment (no DHA). Placebo group (PG): Usage of a placebo version of ABATON RA providing only Regensburger Insomnie Skala (RIS) and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) as ePROs. No SDM is conducted and ePRO results are not presented to HCP.ResultsThis interim analysis evaluated the first 38 patients that completed T3. IG: 13 patients (Av. age 55.9, 61.5% females); PG: 12 (Av. age 50.7, 66.7% females); CG: 13 (Av. age 56.1, 76.9% females). We observe a significant improvement in the mean over time in a pairwise comparison within the intervention group for the following: Pt-GA mean difference of 2.98 (p = 0.025, partial η2 = 0.353), pain mean difference of 1.46 (p = 0.049, partial η2 = 0.286) whereas all pairwise comparisons for the two parameters were non-significant in PG and CG. The patient reactions assessment (PRA) score, measuring patient perceived quality of the patient-provider relationship, increased by a mean of 4.15 points in IG, compared to a slight decrease of 1.92 for PG and 2.77 for CG.ConclusionThese preliminary findings show beneficial differences among the groups in favor of IG: 1) for quality of life and 2) the physician-patient-relationship. A digitally enhanced therapy is non-inferior to the gold-standard of exclusive in-person treatment. Resumen

Modern digital technologies in cinema have added a great development in many fields; the most important of which is the field of cinematography, lighting, and the field of film editing. This research highlights the important role of these technologies in the development of the Jordanian digital cinematic film industry by analyzing one film as a sample, the Jordanian digital film "Captain Abu Raed", which used modern digital technologies in its production in cinema in 2008. The film is analyzed qualitatively and the role of modern digital technologies in making is examined. The research consists of four sections, where the first section includes the definition of the research problem, objectives, significane, the procedural definitions, and the research sample. The second section includes the theoretical framework for the research, where the research discusses the importance of modern digital technologies in Jordanian cinema and their development, and presents a theoretical framework regarding the basic elements in digital cinematography as follows: cinematography, lighting, and film editing. The third section also analyzes the research sample, which is a Jordanian digital cinematic film "Captain Abu Raed", and it highlights the digital technical aspects in its production. The fourth section includes the research results related to the research.

Resumen

With the digitalization of companies and work, the business environment and working conditions have changed. Namely, the progress in ICT changed the ways of work organization and influenced the new work model. Teleworking and mobile work provided workers with the opportunity to adapt their time and place of work to their needs. Accordingly, digitization enables more complex organizational forms and affects an increasing number of tasks. The main goal of our study was to investigate the implications of work flexibility on the worker's health. In other words, are there any risks that this new working arrangement will lead to a shortening of working life? Our research has shown that these types of work arrangements can lead to increased workload and overwork, even where workers have a high level of autonomy. Consequently, workers are exposed to great health risks: stress, anxiety and other health problems related to the new work environment.

To fully utilize the guarantees provided by the state, the institutions of higher education are forced to choose different scenarios for the organization of their activities and take into account not only the general situation in Ukraine but also the possibility of creating a safe working environment in the neighborhood or within the institution of higher education itself. Therefore, the study of the needs of scientific and pedagogical workers and students to find the possibilities of providing them with appropriate resources and the development of conceptual bases for the regulation of the work of scientific and pedagogical workers during the time of war are relevant. The authors draw attention to the fact that during the regulation of labor activities during the wartime period some problems arise that require prompt resolution, as they are based on the needs of scientific and pedagogical workers and students of higher education. The article also emphasizes the specifics of the work of the above-mentioned category of employees which are determined by the performance of their functional duties. After summarizing scientific research findings, practical cases, and the needs of scientific and pedagogical workers obtained as a result of the conducted survey, the conceptual foundation for the regulation of the working activity of such employees in remote and mixed modes of employment is established. It is determined that the main components of the regulations for the organization of the labor activities of scientific and pedagogical workers in wartime conditions should be: general provisions; work and rest time; workplace organization and workplace safety; remuneration for work; social guarantees; responsibility of the parties and conflict resolution. Special attention is paid to the safety of all participants in the educational process, which must contain the specified regulations. An emphasis is placed on the need to approve a clear algorithm of teachers' actions during different work situations in the event of an air raid as well as after its completion. The main digital tools that are most often used by scientific and pedagogical workers during remote work are highlighted. Proposals were submitted regarding the working time beginning and end as well as the provisions for regulated and unregulated breaks which take into account the working schedule established in the higher education institution and the actual situation in the region where it is situated. It is substantiated that such types of work as scientific, organizational, and career guidance should be regulated with an individual approach. However, firmly established final deadlines are necessary. An emphasis is placed on the need to coordinate these tasks with the work plan of the relevant department, faculty (institute), and current strategic goals of the higher education institution. The implementation of the above recommendations will let to normalize the educational process during emergency conditions, and during wartime, in particular, to maintain the quality of higher education at an appropriate level, to regulate and improve the use of technology when conducting classes, to further develop distance education which will allow expanding the range of potential applicants of higher education in Ukrainian universities in the future.

Digital transformation in the railway industry is an important element in the development of railways and should benefit commuters, railway operators, infrastructure managers and rolling stock manufacturers. The process of digitization applies to two domains, i.e. customer service and railway companies’ operation. This paper aims to present previous eff orts regarding the use of digital technologies in customer relations and in the field of operations and maintenance, which translates into the quality of services provided. This paper highlights important concepts of this domain with respect to passenger and freight transport, infrastructure, railway rolling stock and railway traffic management. It is also argued that the process of digitization needs properly trained staff . Examples of innovative initiatives of Polish and European railway companies are covered. Resumen

In this study, we examine the concept of decent work on local digital platforms in Serbia. So, this article focuses on the research topic of whether labour done on local digital platforms may be classified as "decent work." Labour digitization and the digital economy are novel phenomena that need in-depth examination. We begin with the concept of the digital economy as a basis for the development and expansion of digital labour. This new economy is characterised by knowledge and the use of various smart tools, as well as the crossing of national borders, and so on. Nowadays, we may talk about the gig economy, which is defined by short-term employment on online platforms or labour via mobile applications. These developments resulted in the establishment and growth of a worldwide digital labour market marked by non-standard forms of employment, insecure labour agreements, and the involvement of third-party intermediaries between employees and clients. There are considerable efforts to alter employment legislation throughout Europe. Co-regulation, which involves several players in the decision-making process, is one possible option. The Directive on Improving Working Conditions in Platform Work, which is now in the process of adoption, is perhaps the most important document at the EU level. It is worth mentioning the practices of the European Union's Court of Justice, national courts in Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany, as well as national regulations in both Italy and France that establish the right to disconnect. We must also acknowledge the work of international and national trade union federations, such as the European Trade Union Confederation. So, the most pressing issue in this study is finding decent work in the digital labour market. A decent work index comprises many indicators. With statistical and legal indicators, the International Labour Organisation discusses 10 core aspects of decent work. According to an early study, there is no decent work on digital platforms due to bogus self-employment, which occurs when certain entrepreneurs work for only one company. The reasons for this phenomenon are reduced expenses and employers' lack of accountability. This is also an aspect of digital labour in Serbia. To assess the gig economy in Serbia, we use the online labour index and the gigmeter. According to the online labour index, Serbia is among the top 15 nations in the world in terms of the number of digital employees, accounting for 1.4% of the global total. Software development is the most frequent occupation. According to the gigmeter, the most frequent employment is creative and multimedia. The most crucial duty is to figure out how many digital employees there are in Serbia. According to the most conservative estimate, Serbia has almost 90,000 digital employees. Almost two-thirds of digital employees in Serbia are in hidden employment. Now we can talk about doing decent work on digital platforms in Serbia. To assess decent work, we apply the Fair Work Principles. Fair pay, fair conditions, fair contracts, fair management, and fair representation re among these principles. Every platform can be scored with a basic and an extra point, for a total of 10 points. The study incorporates five platforms: Uradi-zaradi, Glovo, Wolt, Car: Go, and Mr.D. According to the Fairwork rating, Uradi-zaradi and Wolt met the most requirements but received just a passing grade. The Public Policy Centre performed extensive research on decent work to find that it does not exist on digital platforms. The most essential motivation for digital labour is a high wage, which comes at the price of a long working week. This study determined that neither platform satisfies the passing standard and makes some recommendations for improving working conditions on local platforms. First, the practice of bogus self-employment must be stopped. Second, labour legislation must be revised. Third, the right to collective bargaining must be extended to digital workers. This can be done by a strong trade union movement that can find a way to safeguard digital employees without jeopardising traditional workers' rights.

Despite the short remaining time to rescue unique cultural and personal materials stored on many twentieth- and early twenty-first-century audiovisual and digital storage media, realistic rescue options are starkly limited. Building a rescue apparatus in house, especially to archival standards, requires significant expertise and expense and is often of limited continuing use. Outsourcing digital capture of these materials overwhelms the resources of even well-funded academic libraries and archives, never mind public libraries, small archives, and local historical societies. To address this problem realistically, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Information School has built and documented an in-house rescue installation called RADD (Recover Analog and Digital Data) as well as two self-contained, portable, and shippable rescue kits: PROUD (Portable Recovery of Unique Data) for digital materials and PRAVDA (Portably Reformat Audio and Video to Digital from Analog) for audio and video. All three units are actively rescuing cultural heritage materials, as well as serving training and outreach functions.

Rigorous testing underscores the robust error correction capabilities of Reed-Solomon encoding in an array of scenarios, affirming its efficacy. Resumen

A 4-bit flash ADC utilizing the advantage of digital-based differential voltage comparator is presented in this paper. This circuit has an advantage of digital circuit concept and can be easily migrated to lower technologies. Also, the digital circuits are less sensitive to the noise and device mismatches can be synthesized and auto place and route (P&R) using EDA tools. The design of the proposed comparator is based on the standard cells implementation. As the proof of concept this comparator is implemented on Xilinx Basys-3 Artix-7 FPGA kit. The prototype of complete 4-bit Flash ADC is designed in 180[Formula: see text]nm CMOS technology with 1.8[Formula: see text]V supply voltage. The measured values of ENOB, SNDR, SNR and SFDR are 3.6, 23.43[Formula: see text]dB, 25.2[Formula: see text]dB and 30.1[Formula: see text]dB, respectively at 33.20[Formula: see text]MHz input frequency and 200[Formula: see text]MHz clock frequency. The total power consumed by the 4-bit flash ADC is 2.14[Formula: see text]mW. The calculated value of DNL and INL is [Formula: see text] LSB and [Formula: see text] LSB respectively.

Resumen

In the paper the practicability of using the digital signal processing in track receivers of the tone track circuits is shown. On the basis of spectral analysis results of the signal current of the tone track circuits, as well as with taking the acting standards into account, the requirements to frequency features of digital filters for the track receiver are formulated, and the syntheses of such filters are conducted. A simulation modeling of the synthesized digital receiver has confirmed its correspondence to the requirements of existing departmental normative documents.

U radu se argumentira da filozofijsko savjetovanje mora razviti prakse u kontekstu u kojem svjedočimo rekonstrukciji perspektiva o svijetu i čovjeku putem revolucije razvoja interneta, društvenih mreža, komunikacijskih tehnologija i pristupa virtualnom svijetu. Filozofijsko i etičko savjetovanje pozvano je uključiti se u raznovrsna nova područja aktivnosti, uključujući izgradnju osobnog oznaka u društvenim medijima, što je fokus ovog rada. S obzirom na to da virtualni komunikacijski prostor postaje medij učinkovitog izražavanja osobnosti, društveni mediji polje su u kojem filozofijsko i etičko savjetovanje mogu postati glavni resurs za rast snažnog osobnog oznaka. Bilo da se radi o samopromociji ili savjetovanju specijaliziranom za komercijalne komunikacije i oznakovljenje, tehnički razvoj omogućuje tehniku samorazvoja poduprtu relacijskim univerzumom društvenih medija. U digitalnom svijetu filozofijsko savjetovanje donosi povećanje doprinosa mogućnosti da se pojedinci izgrađuju, bivaju prepoznati i uživaju kompleksnu izloženost rukovođenu duhom društvene odgovornosti.

Resumen

The main purpose of the study is to propose possible ways of improving the supply chain management of China’s railway logistics system as part of the ongoing “One Belt One Road” initiative. Based on a multi-aspect analysis of scientific sources, the impact of the “One Belt One Road” initiative on the railway logistics system of China is justified. The author’s forecast results of rail freight transportation for the period 2022-2030 are given. It was revealed that the digital transformation of supply chain management is the main tool for improving the efficiency of China’s railway logistics system. Within the framework of scientific novelty, a range of basic elements of digital transformation and digital solutions are indicated that can be included in each of the areas of railway transport management. The prospects for the development of supply chain management of China’s railway logistics system in the view of “One Belt, One Road” initiative are identified and the corresponding innovative digital tools in the field of logistics are justified. It is concluded that the use of the latest digital technologies by rail carriers contributes to high performance and maintaining a competitive position in the logistics market, which is an integral part of the transition to sustainable rail freight transport.

Pada saat sekarang ini untuk mengetahui keaslian suatu dokumen yaitu dengan cara verifikasi, Namun didalam verifikasi tersebut harus memiliki keamanan yang baik untuk mengatasi pemalsuan dan modifikasi. Untuk membuat ijazah yang memiliki keamanan yang baik, tentunya dapat menggunakan verifikasi dengan digital signature. Selain metode enkripsi-dekripsi, di dalam ilmu kriptografi juga terdapat metode untuk melakukan otentikasi terhadap suatu pesan. Secara sederhana, otentikasi merupakan cara utntuk memastikan bahwa pesan yang diterima oleh si penerima pesan adalah tepat sama dengan pesan yang dikirim oleh pengirim pesan pesan tersebut. Lebih jauh lagi, otentikasi juga dapat digunkan untuk memastikan indentitas pengirim. pada penelitian ini penulis akan meneliti mengenai metode enkripsi membuat digital signature untuk memberikan metode proteksi maksimum untuk keabsahan digital signature. Adapun metode pembuatan digital signature yang dirancang pada aplikasi verifikasi ijazah yaitu dengan menggunkan algoritma SHA-1.
