Resumen
We study the optimal design of tests with manipulable inputs. Tests take a unidimensional state of the world as input and output, an informative signal to guide a receiver's approve or reject decision. The receiver wishes to only approve states that comply with her baseline standard. An agent with a preference for approval can covertly falsify the state of the world at a cost. We characterize receiver‐optimal tests and show they rely on productive falsification by compliant states. They work by setting a more stringent operational standard, and granting noncompliant states a positive approval probability to deter them from falsifying to the standard. We also study how falsification‐detection technologies improve optimal tests. They allow the designer to build an implicit cost of falsification into the test, in the form of signal devaluations. Exploiting this channel requires enriching the signal space.

Resumen
By means of three analyses, the operating characteristics of Levene‘s test of homoscedasticity in a 1 -way layout are shown to be systematically affected by design imbalance when the error terms are normal. We consider a formal general linear hypothesis analysis, an empirical analysis, and an analysis of expected mean squares, employing the heuristic justification for an ordinary ANOVA. We propose a simple correction involving leverage and analyze its effect, as well as that of another adjustment, on power and level.

Resumen
In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of missing data in different patterns and sizes on test equating methods under the NEAT design for different factors. For this purpose, as part of this study, factors such as sample size, average difficulty level difference between the test forms, difference between the ability distribution, missing data rate, and missing data mechanisms were manipulated. The effects of these factors on the equating error of test equating methods (chained-equipercentile equating, Tucker, frequency estimation equating, and Braun-Holland) were investigated. In the study, two separate sets of 10,000 dichotomous data were generated consistent with a 2-parameter logistic model. While generating data, the MCAR and MAR missing data mechanisms were used. All analyses were conducted by R 4.2.2. As a result of the study, it was seen that the RMSE of the equating methods increased significantly as the missing data rate increased. The results indicate that the RMSE of the equating methods with imputed missing data are reduced compared to equating without imputed missing data. Furthermore, the percentage of missing data, along with the difference between ability levels and the average difficulty difference between forms, was found to significantly affect equating errors in the presence of missing data. Although increasing sample size did not have a significant effect on equating error in the presence of missing data, it did lead to more accurate equating when there was no missing data present.

Resumen
Theoretical life prediction of tribo-pairs such as seals, bearings and gears with the failure form of wear under mixed lubrication depends on quantitative analysis of wear. Correspondingly, the wear life test depends on an accelerated wear test method to save the time and financial costs. Therefore, the theoretical basis of accelerated test design is a wear model providing a quantitative relationship between equivalents and accelerated test duration. In this paper, an accelerated wear test design method based on dissipation wear model entropy analysis under mixed lubrication is proposed. Firstly, the dissipation wear model under mixed lubrication is verified by standard experiments as a theoretical basis. Then, an accelerated wear test design method is proposed, taking the entropy increase in the dissipation wear model as an equivalent. The verification test shows that 20 times acceleration could be reached by adjustment of the entropy increase rate. The effect of entropy increase rate gradient of duty parameters is also discussed, revealing the fastest acceleration direction. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed method are discussed. The results in this paper are expected to contribute to long life predictions of tribo-pairs.

Resumen
Abstract Ester-based dielectric fluids have now been on the market for several decades, providing fire-safe and environmentally friendly alternatives to mineral oils, which have traditionally been used in transformers and other electrical equipment. This opens the door to innovation in power transformers. However, the use of esters-based dielectrics in power transformers is still very limited, especially for the higher voltage levels. The usage of these esters-based dielectrics in higher voltage power transformers is not yet consensual. this work present results with the use of natural esters in power distribution transformers. Tests carried out on mineral oil and natural ester oil found that the ester-based dielectric can withstand higher voltage thresholds for AC and Impulses tests, mainly within the specs of destructive tests, e.g., the natural ester was able to withstand a 185kV impulse without registering dielectric rupture while the natural oil registered a dielectric rupture with a 160kV impulse. Heating and mechanical tests demonstrated that ester-based dielectric oils for power transformers lead to a flow reduction between 16,8% and 18,2% in the cooling system that was design for mineral oils but they achieve a higher heat transfer coefficient, between 0,5% to 5% depending on the location of measurement.

Resumen
This article describes the board-level drop reliability of thin-profile fine-pitch ball grid array (TFBGA) subjected to Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) drop test conditions featuring an impact pulse profile with a peak acceleration of 1500 G and a pulse duration of 0.5 ms. The solder ball is assumed to be an elastoplastic model and the other components linear elastic ones. Both the global/local finite element and the finite grid region methods are introduced to improve the accuracy and the convergence during the meshing process. Meanwhile, the contact impact process during the drop test is translated into the effective support excitation load on the printed circuit board (PCB) through the support excitation scheme to simplify the analysis. By means of optimal parameters of the Taguchi robust design, the average stress of the solder ball at the PCB side surface becomes 80.9 MPa, which shows a 57 per cent reduction compared to the original stress of 189.7 MPa. As a result, the impact reliability of the TFBGA package is significantly improved. Finally, the JEDEC drop test is conducted to verify the optimal results obtained by the Taguchi method.

Resumen
A new type of concrete, which contains volcanic aggregate and well-graded river sand, having both high strength and ultra-high modulus of elasticity has been developed for tall buildings under severe conditions, and its properties were characterized. The structural deformation of high-rise buildings can be substantially reduced by using this type of concrete, thereby decreasing the cross-section area of the structural members and increasing the economic benefits, not to mention alleviating shrinkage and creep problems of concrete. Uniaxial compression test, static elastic modulus test and scanning electron microscope test were conducted to characterize the properties of concrete specimens with different mix proportions. The experimental results showed that volcanic rock as coarse aggregate, well-graded river sand as fine aggregate, sand ratio around 43%, silica fume content about 10% as well as some mineral admixtures such as metakaolin and nanosilica led to higher modulus of elasticity of concrete. A particular type of concrete with the compressive strength of 146 MPa and modulus of elasticity of 53.5 GPa was developed, which is much stiffer than normal concrete in the code of practice. Four concrete mixtures including C45, C80, high modulus and ultra-high modulus concrete were applied in producing structural members, verifying the advantages of utilization of high stiffness concrete.
