Resumen
Penelitian ini berjudul Analisis novel terjemahan A Man Named Dave karya Dave Pelzer dari aspek konflik batin dan nilai pendidikan (Kajian Psikologi Sastra). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui konflik batin tokoh utama (2) mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan dalam novel terjemahan A Man Named Dave Karya Dave Pelzer. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra. Psikologi sastra yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kepribadian yang dikemukakan oleh Sigmund Freud yang membahasa id, ego dan superego. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini membahas konflik batin yang dialami tokoh. (1) Konflik batin Tokoh utama Dave memiliki superego yang lebih tinggi sehingga selalu mengorban dirinya untuk orang lain. Tokoh Catherine Roerva Pelzer memiliki id yang lebih tinggi sehingga tindakannya sering menyerang Dave. Patsy memiliki kepribadian yang seimbang, pasty juga mempunyai superego tapi setelah itu mulai muncul id yang tinggi membuatnya bercerai dengan Dave. (2) Nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel adalah nilai religius, nilai moral, nilai sosial dan nilai budaya.

Resumen
This paper attempts to explore a child abuse, the reason and the effect of the character’s psychological development using the theory of psychological development and structural analysis. Two approaches are used in this paper. Those are structural approach and psychology, especially developmental psychology approach. The first approach focuses on literary intrinsic elements. The second approach focuses on the character’s psychological development based on the developmental stages and tasks. Those are integrated into a psychological structural analysis. The result shows that child abuse that experienced by David is physical and psychological. He got the first stage of abuse commited by his mother who didn’t give him food and the last stage evidenced by some physical abuses when he lived with his mother. The primary reasons of David abuses are disciplinary patterns and he was regarded as a trouble maker. Keywords:Psychological structural analysis; child abuse and psychological development.

This experiment was conducted to estimate the main effect of adding Data palm pollen (DPP) and the form of diet on the productive performance of female quail compliant with: Hen day egg production (HD), Egg weight (EW), Egg mass (EM), Feed intake (FI) and Feed conversion ratio (FCR) and eggs quality of quail compliant with: Shape index (ShI %), shell weight (%), yolk weight (%), albumen weight (%), Yolk index (YI%), Albumen Index (AI%) and Hough unit (HU). For eight weeks, from February 14 to April 13, 2023. Two hindered fifty-two female quail with age about forty-seven days were divided into six treatments, each including forty-two birds with three replicates (four ten quail of each). The treatments were T1: 0% DPP with mash feed form, T2: 0% DPP with pellet feed form, T3: 0.5% DPP with mash feed form, T4: 0.5% DPP with pellet feed form, T5: 1% DPP with mash feed form and T6: 1% DPP with pellet feed form. The quail were fed a productive diet with 2794 kcal/kg energy and 18.39% crude protein, and similar rearing conditions. Results showed there were significant effects in the percentage of HD, EW., EM, and (FCR) in treatments with DPP and pellet feed form when compared with the other treatments, as well as an improvement in egg quality in treatments with DPP and pellet feed form when compared with the other treatments.

To date there have been few quantitative studies of the distribution of, and relative habitat utilisation by, koalas in the mulgalands of Queensland. To examine these parameters we applied habitat-accessibility and relative habitat-utilisation indices to estimates of faecal pellet density sampled at 149 sites across the region. Modelling the presence of pellets using logistic regression showed that the potential range of accessible habitats and relative habitat use varied greatly across the region, with rainfall being probably the most important determinant of distribution. Within that distribution, landform and rainfall were both important factors affecting habitat preference. Modelling revealed vastly different probabilities of finding a pellet under trees depending on the tree species, canopy size, and location within the region.

Resumen
Desert palm date seeds are a potential feedstock for biodiesel and biomass pellet production, particularly in the Middle East and Africa. A model was developed in this study based on optimal conditions for the production of biodiesel, and it was used to evaluate the financial viability of a small-scale biodiesel plant (1000 t/y) using economic performance metrics including net present value, rate of investment, and payback period. Biodiesel was then produced from date seed oil (DSO) and blended with petrol diesel to make four blends (B5, B10, B15, and B20). The technical performance of these blends was investigated using a test engine rig under differing operating conditions, including variations in load and rpm. The investment performance of the proposed biodiesel plant was very sensitive to the price of biomass pellets; the project was feasible only when this was 70% that of wood pellets or higher. The baseline diesel outperformed the biodiesel blends in terms of engine power, thermal efficiency, and fuel economy, with average decreases of 4.5%, 7.65%, and 9.84%, respectively, at full load for B20. However, the biodiesel blends outperformed the baseline diesel in exhaust gas temperature (EGT), with average drops of 29 and 46.7 °C at full load for B5 and B20, respectively. Our study clearly demonstrates that due to it being obtained from existing waste materials, having a cleaner but comparable performance, and its economic viability, date seed oil has excellent potential as a feedstock for biodiesel production.

Abstract Adulteration began when men started to trade in food. The literature of Greece and Rome contains allusions to the illicit addition of flavouring and colouring matters to wine; Pliny the Elder denounced the bakers who added chalk and cattle-feed to bread. The first legal measures to curb such abuses in Europe date from the Middle Ages. In England concerns were heard about the quality (and selling short) of bread as early as the 13th century: in 1202 King John set up the Assize of Bread to regulate the bakers ‘trade. The sizes of loaves were fixed by law, and selling short, as well as’ expanding ‘the flour with ground peas or beans, became a crime. In London, delinquent bakers could be dragged through the streets on a hurdle and put in the pillory, to be pelted with stones and offal.

Several in-house bound abrasive polisher compositions have been developed which remove subsurface damage (SSD) and reduce the rms microroughness of a variety of optical glass types to ≤10 Å in a 30 minute polishing cycle. The polisher manufacturing method is consistent and reproducible.1 The majority of the work to date has been done on a single spindle machine by polishing flat optical glass parts against a molded pellet lap using deionized water as the coolant.1,2 Recently, the Opticam®SX machining center at the Center for Optics Manufacturing (COM) became a second experimental testbed for evaluating polisher performance. The machine was utilized for evaluating polishers of the same composition as the molded pellet polishers, but in the ring tool configuration. Surface microroughnesses of <10 Å rms were obtained on BK7 glass. A new polisher formulation also removed the cutter marks which are typically introduced during the grinding cycle. The ring tool polisher was used as the last tool in a series of automated tools for final finishing of a microground lens surface.

Introdução: A dermatite atópica canina (DAC) é uma doença com predisposição hereditária, caracterizada por uma deficiência na barreira cutânea, que favorece a penetração através da pele, de alérgenos ambientais e microrganismos presentes na superfície da pele. Objetivo: Objetivou-se com este trabalho realizar uma revisão sobre os aspectos terapêuticos da dermatite atópica canina. Material e Métodos: Foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico utilizando as bases de dados eletrônicas Pubmed e Scielo, utilizando as palavras-chave: cães, atopia, tratamento. Resultados: Em geral, os sintomas iniciais surgem nos cães entre seis meses e três anos de idade e tem o prurido como o principal sinal clínico, causando eritema no abdome, axilas, face, orelhas e patas, otites recorrentes, formação de pústulas no abdome, alopecias, escoriações, odor desagradável, ato de mordiscar e lamber espaços interdigitais e região penianal. Os alérgenos envolvidos incluem ácaros ambientais, bolores, leveduras, pólen, alimentos, poeira, fungos e outros. As raças mais predispostas são: Shih-tzu, Maltês, Bulldog Francês, Yorkshire Terrier, entre outras. O levantamento do histórico do animal e um criterioso exame físico são os passos iniciais durante a abordagem clínica, porém, o diagnóstico de DAC é baseado na exclusão de outros fatores alérgicos, tais como: dermatite alérgica a picada de ectoparasitas (DAPE) e hipersensibilidade alimentar, o que podeF levar alguns meses. O exame parasitológico do raspado cutâneo e a citologia das lesões cutâneas podem contribuir para identificar outras doenças primárias envolvidas, assim como possíveis infecções secundárias. O tratamento da DAC é de abrangência multifatorial, bastante desafiador e varia de acordo com o animal envolvido e também com a intensidade dos sinais clínicos apresentados. O arsenal terapêutico disponível para o controle desta afecção, inclui a imunoterapia (após teste alergênico); suplementação com ácidos graxos; uso de xampus hidratantes; além do emprego de fármacos com ação antipruriginosa. No controle do prurido podem ser empregados corticosteróides (tópico ou sistêmico) e, principalmente, novos fármacos como o oclacitinib, a ciclosporina e ainda Lokivetmab (anticorpo monoclonal). Conclusão: A DAC é uma das afecções mais importantes e desafiadoras na rotina dermatológica de cães, exigindo do clínico um bom conhecimento sobre os aspectos clínicos, diagnósticos e terapêuticos desta afecção.

Criticality safety evaluations implement requirements to proof of sufficient sub critical margins outside of the reactor environment for example in fuel fabrication plants. Basic criticality data (i.e., criticality standards) are used in the determination of sub critical margins for all processes involving plutonium or enriched uranium. There are several criticality international standards, e.g., ARH-600, which is one the US nuclear industry relies on. The French Nuclear Safety Authority (DGSNR and its advising body IRSN) has requested AREVA NP to review the criticality standards used for the evaluation of its Low Enriched Uranium fuel fabrication plants with CRISTAL V0, the recently updated French criticality evaluation package. Criticality safety is a concern for every phase of the fabrication process including UF6 cylinder storage, UF6-UO2 conversion, powder storage, pelletizing, rod loading, assembly fabrication, and assembly transportation. Until 2003, the accepted criticality standards were based on the French CEA work performed in the late seventies with the APOLLO1 cell/assembly computer code. APOLLO1 is a spectral code, used for evaluating the basic characteristics of fuel assemblies for reactor physics applications, which has been enhanced to perform criticality safety calculations. Throughout the years, CRISTAL, starting with APOLLO1 and MORET 3 (a 3D Monte Carlo code), has been improved to account for the growth of its qualification database and for increasing user requirements. Today, CRISTAL V0 is an up-to-date computational tool incorporating a modern basic microscopic cross section set based on JEF2.2 and the comprehensive APOLLO2 and MORET 4 codes. APOLLO2 is well suited for criticality standards calculations as it includes a sophisticated self shielding approach, a Pij flux determination, and a 1D transport (Sn) process. CRISTAL V0 is the result of more than five years of development work focusing on theoretical approaches and the implementation of user-friendly graphical interfaces. Due to its comprehensive physical simulation and thanks to its broad qualification database with more than a thousand benchmark/calculation comparisons, CRISTAL V0 provides outstanding and reliable accuracy for criticality evaluations for configurations covering the entire fuel cycle (i.e. from enrichment, pellet/assembly fabrication, transportation, to fuel reprocessing). After a brief description of the calculation scheme and the physics algorithms used in this code package, results for the various fissile media encountered in a UO2 fuel fabrication plant will be detailed and discussed.
