Introduction. The National Archive of Kalmykia houses over 800 letters of Donduk-Dashi (d. January 21, 1761), the fourth Kalmyk Khan (r.1741–1761), younger son of Prince Chakdorjab and grandson of Khan Ayuka. All the letters attributed to Donduk-Dashi — except for two only — bear impresses of the Chinese seal inherited by him from his father Chakdorjab. One of the exceptions is an impress of another seal registered on only one letter of Donduk-Dashi stored at the National Archive of Kalmykia. So, the study focuses on this very seal of Donduk-Dashi. Goals. The article seeks to introduce sphragistic data from the seal of Kalmyk Khan Donduk-Dashi, draw parallels with a similar seal once owned by the Dorbet landlord Tsenden-Dorji, and to articulate a hypothesis regarding the origins of Donduk-Dashi’s seal. Materials. The study provides insights into the letters of Donduk-Dashi and Tsenden-Dorji housed by the National Archive of Kalmykia. Results. The study reveals that legends of the mentioned seals of Donduk-Dashi and Tsenden-Dorji are written in Tibetan dbu-med cursive script using abbreviations known in Tibetan as skung yig. The Kalmyk origin of the seals is assumpted.

Diet mengendalikan hipertensi orang Indonesia di Jakarta (dietary approach to stop hypertension for Indonesian at Jakarta, disingkat DASHI-J) dan olahraga jalan cepat dapat mengurangi berat badan dan menurunkan tekanan darah pada pasien prahipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi diet dan olahraga tersebut dengan desain penelitian clinical trial terhadap 100 laki-laki berusia 25 – 55 tahun di PT Krama Yudha Ratu Motor. Responden dialokasikan secara acak dalam 4 kelompok perlakuan meliputi kelompok diet (A), kelompok olahraga jalan cepat (B), kelompok diet dan olahraga jalan cepat (C), dan kelompok kontrol (D). Kelompok A dan C menerima diet 5 hari dalam seminggu selama 8 minggu. Kelompok diet DASHI-J diberikan makan siang dan makan malam. Setelah 2 bulan intervensi, berat badan, indeks massa tubuh, visceral fat, body fat, lingkar perut, tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik, kolesterol serum dari semua kelompok menurun secara signifikan. Penurunan tertinggi terjadi pada kelompok diet DASHI-J dan olahraga jalan cepat dengan penurunan berat badan 4,18 kg, indeks massa tubuh 1,50 kg/m2, tekanan darah 12,00 mmHg/8,60 mmHg. Diet DASHI-J dan olahraga jalan cepat berperan menurunkan berat badan, indeks massa tubuh, serta tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik.Dietary approach to stop hypertension for Indonesian at Jakarta (DASHI-J) and brisk walking exercise could reduce body weight and blood pressure of males prehypertension. The objective of the study was to evaluate DASHI-J by an experimental clinical trial conducted with 100 male subjects, aged 25 – 55 years divided randomly into 4 groups: DASHI-J diet group (A), brisk walking exercise group (B), DASHI-J and brisk walking exercise group (C), and control group (D). Group A and C got 5 days a week for 8 weeks diet. DASHI-J group was given lunch and dinner. After 2 months of intervension, the body weight, body mass index, body fat, visceral fat, waist circumference, systole, diastole, cholesterol serum of the groups all reduce significantly. The highest reduction of those intervention achieved by DASHI-J and brisk walking exercise group with body weight decreased 4.18 kg, Body Mass Index (BMI) 1.50 kg/m2, blood pressure 12.00/8.60 mmHg. This implies that DASHI-J and brisk walking exercise play a significant role in reducing body weight, BMI, and both sistolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Introduction. The article describes the dispatch of Kalmyk Prince Donduk-Dashi to St. Petersburg in the fall of 1737. It also publishes documents on this event housed by the National Archive of the Republic of Kalmykia. Materials. The examined archival materials are mostly clerical papers contained in Collection И-36 ‘Executive Attached to Kalmyk Affairs Commission under Astrakhan Governor. Results. The work introduces complete texts of 10 documents subdivided into decrees, reports, orders, road documents and instructions issued by various authorities and officials. Conclusions. The mentioned collection contains information regarding the backgrounds of Donduk-Dashi’s dispatch, and covers only a part of the journey to St. Petersburg. The described stage lasted from October 6 to November 2, 1737. During this period, Donduk-Dashi and his retinue sailed and drove from Astrakhan to the Novokhoperskaya fortress through such settlements as Cherny Yar, Popovitskaya station, Tsaritsyn, and Lovlinskaya stanitsa. This stage of the delivery of Donduk-Dashi from Astrakhan to St. Petersburg involved over a hundred Russian military and civil officers.

Research objectives: This article is dedicated to preliminarily research and the publication of the decree of the Kalmyk ruler, Donduk-Dashi Khan (r. 1741–1761), assigning to Mustafa Hajji the position of the mufti of the Muslims – people which were dependent on Donduk-Dashi Khan – as well as the position of the qadi and zaisang of the Nogays. Research materials: The decree (dated to 1750) reached us as a copy from the nineteenth century which was kept in the private archives of Abd al-Rahman Umerov – the Tatar religious leader and enlightener who was active at the end of nineteenth and beginning of twentieth century. Cartographic and lexicographic sources were used as well as works on Turkic and Mongolian diplomacy. Results and novelty of the research: The legal status of the representatives of Turkic-Muslim subjects of the Kalmyk rulers and the methods of their administration were not studied sufficiently up to the present. This is a result of the small number of the documentary sources which have been thus far introduced into scholarly circles. The publication of this decree of Donduk-Dashi Khan will fill the gaps in our knowledge of this problem.

Resumen
The article examines the work of the famous Russian sculptor and architect Dashi Namdakov. It is suggested that the origins of his talent lie in the depths of Buryat traditional art. The roots of Buryat art date back to the Paleolithic era, which is confirmed by the images of female figurines that were found by A. P. Okladnikov during the excavations of the prehistoric sites of the Baikal region. On the small sculptures made of mammoth bone, the lines of the face are finely worked out and the faces are framed in hair in the form of rays and snakes. Hats and clothes in these figurines are decorated with animal elements, which are considered to denote the native archaic culture which later appeared in a shamanic worldview. The basis of ancient art was syncretic and synthesized religious cult and myths. Later on ancient art, beliefs and ideas about the universe were incorporated in the cult images of the Buryat Mongols and today are communicated in a combination of archaic beliefs and esotery. This peculiarity of Buryat art leaves an original and unique imprint on modern art culture. Visitors of Dashi Namdakov's exhibitions get the feeling of an amazing connection between modernity and mythological antiquity. The article includes a short interview with the master jeweler Dashi Namdakov, in which he speaks about his work, about its origins and his future expectations.

This paper explores the practical teachings found in the Dunhuang manuscript of the Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch and considers the possibility of practice within a doctrine of sudden enlightenment. Part One outlines how the doctrine of sudden enlightenment can be understood to undermine the purpose for practicing meditation. Part Two first makes a case for the position that practice is presupposed by the text regardless of the doctrine of sudden enlightenment. Next the paper argues for what type of meditation practice the Platform Sutra teaches is consistent with sudden enlightenment. The practice the Platform Sutra teaches is an intentionless, continuous, non-passive non-attachment while in the midst of dharmas that takes as its basis the suchness of things inherent in sentient beings.

Chunked DASH is getting attention for reducing otherwise high delay oflive segment streaming but there are a lot of unexplored problems associatedwith it. This master’s thesis investigates the difficulties involved withimplementing a chunked DASH player in the browser with JavaScript. A small system containing one JavaScript client and a server which simulateslive streaming by repeating VOD segments is implemented. Issuesrelated to the downloading of chunked segments are addressed and solvedsuch that chunked segments can be streamed within expected delay, andwith accurate throughput metrics.
Chunkad DASH får uppmärksamhet för sin förmåga att minska annars hög fördröjning vid segmentbaserad direktsändning, men det finns många associerade problem som inte har utforskats i någon större utsträckning. Denna masters avhandling undersöker svårigheterna med att implementera en chunkad DASH-spelare i webbläsaren med JavaScript. Ett litet system som innehåller en JavaScript-klient och en server som simulerar direktsändning genom att upprepa VOD-segment implementeras. Frågor relaterade till nedladdning av chunkar behandlas och löses så att innehållet kan sändas inom förväntad fördröjning och med pålitliga mätvärden av genomströmmning.

Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) is a convenient approach to transfer videos in an adaptive and dynamic way to the user. Therefore, this system makes best use of the bandwidth available. In this thesis, we investigate Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) based on data collected from the lab experiments and user’s experiments. The objectives include investigation of how three different DASH players behave at different network conditions and up to which limit the players are tolerating the disturbances. We summarized the outcome of lab experiments on DASH at different adverse conditions and checked the lab results with user quality of experience at different adverse conditions to see up to which extent the users could tolerate the disturbances in different DASH players.

Multi-video streaming allows the viewer to interact with the stream by choosing andswitching between several different camera angles to view the stream from. For this reportwe implement and evaluate adaptive multi-video streaming with dash.js. With the help ofdash.js and self-made additions, multiple parallel video streams which are synchronized intime are implemented to provide a good user experience with smooth switching betweenstreams. These streams will be delivered according to dash.js own HTTP-based AdaptiveStreaming algorithms to achieve adaptive streams for varying conditions. In order to optimizethe usage of the available bandwidth in terms of video quality in a multi-videoenvironment we implement probabilities of camera switching to adapt qualities and allocatedbandwidth of streams. By utilizing the functions of dash.js we create two prefetchingpolicies and analyze these results together with the standard non-prefetch dash.js implementationin a multi-view video environment. Our results present the improvements interms of stalling with a prefetch implementation and the possibility of a good policy tofurther optimize a multi-view video implementation in terms of stalling, quality and bandwidthusage. Evaluation of dash.js compatibility for a multi-view video environment is alsodiscussed where pros and cons of dash.js in their current state are presented.

Novas formas terapêuticas e o progresso da medicina proporcionaram a emergência de infecções por Rhodotorula mucilaginosa em pacientes imunocomprometidos. Este estudo tem o objetivo de avaliar a suscetibilidade dos isolados de R. mucilaginosa aos antifúngicos convencionais, verificar a habilidade destes em modificar seu perfil de suscetibilidade após exposição a crescentes concentrações de anfotericina B (AMB) e comparar a atividade antifúngica de AMB ou voriconazol (VCR) em combinação com fármacos diversos frente aos dois grupos de R. mucilaginosa. Trinta e cinco isolados de R. mucilaginosa proveniente de pacientes foram estudados. Os isolados foram identificados baseado em métodos microbiológicos e moleculares. Definimos como grupo I os isolados fúngicos originais e grupo II como estes mesmos isolados após serem submetidos a crescentes concentrações de AMB. A exposição à AMB foi realizada segundo Fekete-Forgács et al., com algumas modificações. Os testes de susceptibilidade foram realizados de acordo com a técnica de microdiluição em caldo (CLSI M27-A3). AMB, caspofungina, fluconazol e VRC foram testadas isoladamente e ciprofloxacino, levofloxacino, anlodipino, ciclosporina A, fluoxetina, ibuprofeno, sinvastatina e varfarina foram testadas em combinação com AMB ou VRC, utilizando a técnica de microdiluição em caldo “checkerboard”. Os isolados do grupo I foram suscetíveis a baixas concentrações de AMB. A suscetibilidade ao VCR foi muito reduzida. Fluconazol e caspofungina não exibiram atividade frente a R. mucilaginosa. A exposição prolongada à AMB modificou a suscetibilidade dos isolados. Os testes de suscetibilidade com os isolados do grupo II mostraram elevadas Concentrações Inibitórias Mínimas (CIMs) para AMB e a inibição pelo VCR requisitou CIMs mais elevadas. No grupo I, a combinação de AMB + ibuprofeno mostrou o maior número de interações sinérgicas. No grupo II, a combinação com o maior número de interações sinérgicas foi AMB + sinvastatina. No grupo I, quando VCR foi combinado com levofloxacino, um potente sinergismo foi observado frente a isolados de R. mucilaginosa. No grupo II, combinação de VRC + ciclosporina A mostrou um potente sinergismo. Os tratamentos para infecção por R. mucilaginosa são restritos e a terapia combinada pode ser uma alternativa quando novos fármacos são combinados com aqueles já disponíveis no mercado.
New therapies and medical progress have led to emerging fungal infections by Rhodotorula mucilaginosa in immunocompromised patients. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the susceptibility profile of Rhodotorula mucilaginosa, verify the ability of this species to change its susceptibility profile after exposure to high concentrations of AMB, and compare the antifungal activity of AMB or voriconazole (VCR) plus combinations of non-antifungal medications against the two groups of R. mucilaginosa. Thirty-five strains of R. mucilaginosa isolated from patients were studied. The isolates were identified based on microbiological and molecular methods. We defined group I to be the original strains isolated from patients and group II as the same strains after in vitro exposure to AMB. AMB exposure was assayed according to Fekete-Forgács et al., with some modifications. Susceptibility tests were performed using the broth microdilution method (CLSI M27-A3). AMB, caspofungin, fluconazole (FLC), and VRC were tested alone and ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, amlodipine, cyclosporine A, fluoxetine, ibuprofen, simvastatin, and warfarin were tested in combination with AMB or VRC, using the broth microdilution checkerboard technique. All group I isolates were susceptible to low concentrations of AMB. Susceptibility to VRC was quite poor. FLC and CAS exhibited no activity against R. mucilaginosa. Prolonged exposure to AMB changed the susceptibility of the isolates. The susceptibility tests with strains from group II showed high minimal inhibitory concentration (MICs) for AMB and the inhibition by VRC required more elevated MICs. In group I, the combination AMB + ibuprofen demonstrated the highest number of synergistic interactions. In group II, the most synergistic interactions was AMB + simvastatin. In group I, When VCR was combined with levofloxacin, a strong synergism was demonstrate against R. mucilaginosa isolates. In group II, VRC + cyclosporine A combination demonstrated a potent synergism. Treatments for R. mucilaginosa are restricted and a multidrug approach seems to be an alternative by administering novel chemical entity drugs with drugs currently on the market simultaneously.

Video streaming has become, and is expected to remain, the dominant type of traffic over the Internet. With this high demand for multimedia streaming, there is always a question on how to provide acceptable and fair Quality of Experience (QoE) for consumers of the over-the-top video services, despite the best-effort nature of the Internet and the limited network resources, shared by concurrent users. MPEG-DASH, as one of the most widely used standards of HTTP-based adaptive streaming, uses a client-side rate adaptation algorithms; which is known to suffer from two practical challenges: in one hand, clients use fixed heuristics that have been fine-tuned according to strict assumptions about deployment environments which limit its ability to generalize across network conditions. On the other hand, the absence of collaboration among DASH clients leads to unfair bandwidth allocation, and typically ends up in an unbalanced equilibrium point. We believe that augmenting a server-side rate adaptation significantly improves the fairness of network bandwidth allocation among concurrent users. We have formulated the problem as a Decentralized Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (Dec-POMDP) model, and used RL to train two neural networks to find an optimal solution to the proposed Dec-POMDP problem in a distributed way. We showed that our proposed client-server collaboration outperforms the state-of-the-art schemes in terms of QoE-efficiency, QoE-fairness, and social welfare by as much as 16%, 21%, and 24% respectively.

Resumen

The terminal stage of a minimum-time mission of a high- performance aircraft is studied using both a reduced-order "energy" model formulation and a point-mass model formulation of the aircraft.

The mission is confined to vertical plane maneuvers, and is defined as consisting of three stages; a climb to the dash point,a steady-state dash at the high velocity point, and finally, a terminal transient from the dash point to the final state. This terminal maneuver evolves outside of the flight envelope, rapidly decreasing altitude while increasing the velocity to values greater than the dash velocity. The velocity then decreases from this maximum value as required in order to meet the final state specification.

Some of the trajectories that are generated during this terminal transient maneuver experience dynamic pressures that will exceed the dynamic pressure limit unless a constraint is placed on the state variables. Because of the need for enforcing this state constraint, a direct adjoining method for handling state constraints in the optimal control problem is studied. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the application of this method of handling state constraints for the case of the dynamic pressure limit.

Finally, trajectories are generated that lead from the dash point to a uÌ nal state having lower altitude and energy values than those of the dash point, and observations are made concerning the characteristics of these maneuvers.

The article reveals the peculiarities of folk stories and songs about some Buryat usurers who lived in the Aginsky steppes of Zabaikalye in the second half of the 19th — first quarter of the 20th centuries, recorded by the Buryat chronicler Dashi Bubeev from the old residents of that time. A particular scientific interest lies in the fact that a previously unknown handwritten source in the old Mongolian script Brief historical notes, stories and songs about the Buryat usurers and noyons (Burayad ulus-yin urda-yin bayad noyad tuqai üge-nüüd ba daγun-uud-un tobči tedüi teüke amui) kept in the Mongolian fund of the Center of Oriental Manuscripts and xylographs of the Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan studies is introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. In addition to this manuscript, the Mongolian fund contains about thirty other works by the chronicler D. Bubeev. This manuscript is an original monument of Buryat literature and folklore in Old Mongolian script with elements of the genre of travelogue.

Resumen
This paper presents the Swedish National Doctoral School in Digital Humanities: Data, Culture, and Society – Critical Perspectives (DASH) that is run in 2023–2027 by Uppsala University, Umeå University, Linnaeus University, and Gothenburg University. Though Swedish universities have established PhD courses, MA programmes and training in digital humanities previously, DASH is the first encompassing educational programme in digital humanities at the doctoral level. The present paper discusses the rationale behind the DASH doctoral school, its role in the landscape of Swedish humanities infrastructures, and provides insights from the first PhD courses and seminars. The focus of DASH is to equip PhD candidates in humanities and social sciences with knowledge and skills necessary to pursue high quality, innovative and critical research in digital humanities. DASH aims to provide knowledge in relation to digital research, its methods, tools, and critical perspectives, and to build and strengthen the networks among early career scholars. DASH facilitates access and use of the resources in the national infrastructures in the humanities, but also emerges as an element in the infrastructure by providing new resources and competences.
