Texto completoCarried by the coolie engaging migration to The Réunion Island (Wong-Hee-Kam, 1996), the Lion Dance is at the crossroads of the sacred art, the martial art (Wu Shu) and the performing art. This practice has for dual purpose the intergenerational mediation and the intercultural openness (Abdallah-Pretceille, 2020) : it is transformed from China along the migratory path under the impetus of the Grand Masters. The research question was on how sino-reunionese families took hold of this living intangible heritage in order to operate a cultural mediation in context. What links with China did they maintain for young people at The Reunion Island, and what forms of cultural expression were deployed in context at the crossroads of ancestral traditions and of societal change (Hobsbawm et Ranger, 2012)? A chronological timeline of The Reunion's Chinese engagist migratory movement was drawn up beforehand. The exploratory phase of the doctoral program elaborated the dance geolocation on the territory (N = 555, 8 years old); maps showed that the practice settings divided the Hakka/Namsun groups and were essentially linked with commercial activities, republican institutions and Chinese state representation, thus ensuring a strong cultural link between spirituality, sociality and power. By taking young people all over the Island, the Lion Dance put them together at festive occasions and created a youthful sociality motivated by the sharing of cultural practices. Study 1 focused on the life stories of the migratory and social trajectories (Delory-Momberger, 2019) of key figures in the community. It provided a better understanding of the living conditions, social integration and cultural mediation of migrant families. Then the heritage practice of the Lion dance, carried in the cultural baggage of the family's migratory journey, was questioned as an emblem of transmission. The Study 2 aimed on the migratory trajectory of the Lion dance though three indianoceanic cultural areas (Mauritius, Kuala Lumpur, Taiwan) with reference to the original practice (China). A triple externalist/internalist crossover (master, researcher, practitioner) provided access to the epistemological and epistemic status of this patrimony. The participant observation study (14 months) collected the Grand Master's discourse in context (N=3 interviews; 180') and showed that the practice was reinterpreted in a deliberate way according to the cultural context of inclusion. Finally, the Study 3 proposed a projective test inviting the Grand Masters to analyze a competitive dance modality (crab choreography, T=9'). By interpreting the practice precisely according to the martial style to which they belong, the choreographic inspiration or the spectacularisation project, each Master attempted ‘to transmit the tradition and to make the art flourish’ in contexts. This process of patrimony creolization revealed an open conception of sharing the heritage object: by the questioning of their relationship with otherness, they reinvented the tradition, even if it meant to break codes by displacing them while innovating to perform. The Lion Dance is an emblem of the sino-reunionese identity by its intercultural and Creole dimensions. While promoting festive cultural sharing, it mediates knowledge and values while reinventing tradition for young people destined to open up to the world. Assuming the tension between ‘transmitting and/or innovating’, the dilemma of the Lion Grand Masters questions all forms of heritage transmission in a cultural context of social and community empowerment

Texto completoBirth, fraternal status and family contextual atmosphere are factors which, without of doubt, exerted a determinant influence on Gustave Flaubert's behavior and character. Born between a child who had just died and another who passed away when he was six months old did not open up very attractive future prospects to one who had just arrived on the threshold of life. Does living in a state of uncertainty, while his older brother follows faithfully in his father footsteps and his younger sister finally fulfills her mother's desire for a daughter, make him "the family idiot"? If this situation does not necessarily determine his career as a writer, it has at least permitted his writing to be a "magnifying glass" into which he refuses to look but which reflects, in filigree, the images of a melancolic mother, an inaccessible father and pours out his maniac-depressive humour

Texto completoThe author examines the conditions in which a psycho-pathological clinic, both as a profession and a therapy towards some greater measure of well-being originates in a particular relationship, a social tie which, though phenomenological obvious, has been neglected too often in favour of other considerations. The fact that this tie appears as the inevitable foundation of any clinical relationship makes it necessary to "desubstancialise" the notion of the individual and to refrain from considering it as a fixed entity with its own psychology. In this light, this essay aims to analyse the way in which this tie as relationship to the other constitutes the same as non-identical, and how psychoanalysis is both theorically rooted in this internal fault. The author takes into account the early theories of Lacan, inspired from the Hegelian model, to consider the way in which Freud positioned himself in the field he was discovering. Fundamental concepts such as those of transfert, phantasm, desire, through which the psychoanalytical clinic apprehends the specificity of this tie are then studied. Finally, the main points made throughout the work are illustrated outside the clinical field when the author examines a few figures of Greek mythology

Texto completoOur study focuses on the symbolism of the lions present on ancient Egyptian furniture. We took into consideration the objects and representations of furniture with an exceptional leonine theme. We studied the identity of the lions (their sex and nature) and the reasons for their presence. Through an iconographic, textual, typological and contextual study, we demonstrated that these lions were not simple ornamental elements. They are divided into two major categories, lion goddesses and male lions associated with royalty, and minor categories, lionesses representing queens, enemy lions and lions of the horizon. Except for the enemy lions, all these lions are positive and protective figures. As a nocturnal predator living in bordering areas, the lion is the paragon of the dangers facing the Egyptian people. Soothed or tamed, it becomes an excellent protector

Texto completoOur focus is on the imaginative dimension of Roger Frison-Roche’s fictional work, which has more often than not been taken into consideration only from a documentary or ethnographic angle. Based on an awareness that, like their creator, the characters in these novels are wanderers, this study questions what triggers their setting off and their progress. Their quest, which turns out to be both an initiation and a salvation, enables them to free themselves from the fatal bonds that restrained them and to tie new, positive bonds. Indeed, those characters cross through mythical or primeval regions to reach the sacred, and yet, in spite of their nomadism, they are firmly rooted in a certain territory and a certain community. Thanks to his writing, which used to be improperly labeled as reporting or documenting, the artist makes the communion with the spiritual world as well as with other men possible; he links the individual and the universal together. Throughout this study, the profusion of images and symbols based on bonds is therefore shown to be ambivalent: bonds are either fetters that are severed, or ties that are established, and these novels celebrate the transition from one to the other

Texto completoDuring winter, local strong winds (Mistral or Tramontana) occurred in the Gulf of Lion which bring cold and dry continental air over a warmer sea. Those events, the cold air outbreaks, can lead to intense air-sea interactions which favour dense water formation and deep oceanic convection. The representation of air-sea exchanges is a fundamental aspect of of climate modelling and numerical weather forecasting. The ASICS-MED project aims to identify fine-scale processes leading to dense water formation and is a part of the "Intense air-sea exchanges" topic of the HyMeX program devoted to hydrological cycle in the Mediterranean. The processes occurring within the marine atmospheric boundary layer (MABL) and the oceanic mixing layer (ML) interact with one another at different spatial and temporal scales. Understanding the overall evolution of the MABL but also the local mechanisms requires taking into account all the processes. The study presented here is devoted to the mean and turbulent structure of the MABL under strong wind conditions. The objective is to determine how the organization of the turbulent field is impacted during CAO events and to estimate the surface fluxes associated with these strong wind conditions. The methodology adopted is based on the joint use of airborne observations collected during the HyMeX-SOP2 field campaign and numerical simulations. The HyMeX-SOP2 field campaign took place during the winter of 2013 in the Gulf of Lion. The research aircraft ATR42 was operated to document the mean and turbulent structure of the MABL during 11 CAO events. A spectral analysis based on an analytic model was carried out on 181 legs (i.e. stacked straight and level runs stabilized in altitude). The vertical profiles of the turbulent characteristic scales as well as the shape of the vertical velocity spectrum revealed an elongation of the energy structures in the mean wind direction associated with the organization of the turbulent field into longitudinal rolls. A unidirectional sampling of the three-dimensional turbulent field may lead to a limited representativeness of the coherent structures within the samples. However, knowledge of kinematic fluxes profiles over the entire thickness of the CLAM is necessary to estimate air-sea exchanges. A correction method was applied to turbulent fluxes calculated by eddy correlation in order to take into account systematic and random errors related to measurement and data processing. This correction made it possible to determine the best possible estimates of the extrapolated surface fluxes with a margin of uncertainty for the 11 CAO events documented during the HyMeX-SOP2 field campaign. The comparison of these airborne estimates with the other sources of information derived from bulk parameterizations show a systematic underestimation of the latent heat flux under strong wind conditions. A numerical approach allowed to complete the analysis of the mean and turbulent structure of the MABL during CAO events. The numerical study, based on the non-hydrostatic Meso-NH model, focuses on an episode of strong Tramontana with winds greater than 25m/s documented during the HyMeX-SOP2 field campaign. In a first step, a one-dimensional framework made it possible to understand the forcing terms necessary to reproduce in a realistic way the development of the observed MABL. This reference configuration allowed, in a second time, a Large-Eddy Simulation of the CAO event. This simulation has been validated using airborne data and has allowed to deepen the description of the turbulent field as well as the evolution of the coherent structures oriented in the axis of the mean wind

Texto completoMany coastal marine species of major socio-economic importance exhibited complex life histories include seasonal migrations between offshore marine environments and inshore coastal habitats. An adequate scientific understanding of their life cycle and, in particular the identification of the most significant juvenile nursery grounds are urgently needed for the sustainable management of fish stocks. This present study investigated the nursery function of coastal lagoons in the Gulf of Lions (NW Mediterranean) for a valuable fish species, the gilthead sea bream Sparus aurata, whose juveniles colonize these habitats each year for feeding and growing over their critical first summer of life. Habitat quality of four contrasted lagoons was measured with body condition (Fulton and muscle TAG/ST indices) and otolith growth rate of juveniles. Results showed better condition and higher growth rates in juveniles inhabiting the two shallow and brackish lagoons (Bages-Sigean, Mauguio) compared to the two deeper and more saline lagoons (Salses-Leucate and Thau). Otolith elemental signatures were temporally validated as natural tags to discriminate among juvenile habitats, allowing the retrospective identification of juvenile origin of S. aurata adults captured along the Gulf of Lions coastline. The estimations of relative contributions of juvenile habitats to adult stocks revealed the overall significance of lagoons for the maintenance of population. While, brackish lagoons were identified as the major contributors and best nursery habitats in the area, the importance of Thau lagoon to sustain fish stocks was also highlighted. Combined results of this research revealed some agreement between potential and effective export estimates from juvenile habitats. Information derived from this study is highly valuable for the sustainable management and protection of juvenile habitats, and the fishery resources that depend on them

Texto completoMany physical processes are involved in the Gulf of Lions hydrodynamics, Mediterranean Sea, exhibiting high spatial and temporal variability. Their generation is often linked to atmospheric conditions and in particular to wind forcing. This works aims at understanding this influence on small scale processes and investigates the relevance of high resolution atmospheric forcing for ydrodynamic modeling. Firstly, the impact of the local wind forcing on the generation of a mesoscale eddy, previously observed by HF radars, is evidenced. Several idealized configurations also allow to analyze the role of river discharge, background shelf circulation and bathymetric effects, through idealized numerical modeling. Then, different atmospheric models are assessed to drive hydrodynamic modeling in the Gulf of Lions, with distinctive resolutions. Inertial motions, internal oscillations and mesoscale variability are shown to be accentuated when using high-resolution forcing. The importance of wind spatial variability is also evidenced, in terms of upwelling system and shelf intrusions

Texto completoThis thesis is the result of ethnographic research into the act of walking, its application in dance and practical implementation in the creations of Taiwanese choreographer Leechen Lin, which draw on Chinese philosophy and culture. The main objective is to understand how the movement is used in dance and how it inspires choreographers. It also explains how it is interpreted and its value in the work of Leechen Lin, presented as an illustration. The approach is to analyse the act of walking in four types of representation in contemporary choreography and from the personal perspective of contemporary choreographers. It first explores how human beings relate to walking in terms of their body and use in everyday life, and then how the movement is integrated into dance and interpreted in choreographers' creations and perspectives. Finally, it analyses Leechin Lin's coaching of walking and choreographic phrases in her trilogy

Texto completoUnder effect of tectonical, eustatic and morphological factors, marine sediments mainly confined on the continental shelves, move to the slope and to the abyssal plain where they feed sedimentary bodies more or less extended. In the Gulf of Lions (north-western part of the Mediterranean), the Pyreneo-Languedocian Sedimentary Ridge, located at the foot of the Catalano-Languedocian slope is an enlarged sedimentary levee. It forms the southern levee of the Creus Cape valley and the western one of the Sète valley. This sedimentary ridge is characterised by dune-like structures which have mainly a hydro-sedimentary origin (sediment waves). Seismical, morphological and sedimentological studies conducted on the Ridge form a multi-scale study that allowed us to appreciate its original causes, the factors responsible for its construction during the Plioquaternary (salt tectonics, gravity flows, plastic deformation mechanisms) involving a new regional light

Texto completoThis dissertation is an in-depth study of the cunning /strength dialectics in the war discourse. The approach is that of a genealogy. The research probes into the Greek, Roman, Hebraic and Christian foundations of the strategic thought, then focuses on the way the mastery of cunning at war gradually infiltrated political science (Machiavelli), the law of war (Grotius), and modem strategy (Clausewitz). The dissertation unfolds as a long history of the strategic thought and highlights the fact that it has always acknowledged the contribution of cunning. , which counters the theory according to which there is a "western way of war"(V. D. Hanson) exclusively based on strength, which is to be opposed to an "eastern" model relying on cunning. Indeed, denouncing the enemy’s cunning appears as one essential element in the discourse on "just war" which was inherited from the Romans, in so far as it has always worked as a mighty tactics to legitimize strength. Labelling the enemy a cunning perfidious fighter is a way of turning one's own army into the embodiment of legitimate strength. Both in the political and military arena, cunning and strength are to be regarded as Iwo inseparable essential factors in a strategy grammar, whatever the culture. Cunning and strength are complementary from a tactical, strategic and political point of view; cunning being a multiplying factor for the effects of strength and also a major trait of strategic intelligence. The study naturally leads to an analysis of the contemporary forms of war (wars between nations, irregular wars, civil wars). In today's world, cunning, beside strength, still provides both attack and defence solutions, and it is used both by the "strong" and the "weak"

Texto completoWhat's the nature of the tie between a guru and his group ? Is the " sect " a way to recovery or destruction ? Must we talk about " the sect " or about " groupe jeopardy " ?From the state authorities point of view as well as for the specialists and other field workers, sects are found guilty when they attempt against human rights and constitutionally granted liberties. Some people think that the sectarian machinery has to be clearly defined and examined so that a delict of mental mischief could be put forward. From this point of view, family stands in opposition to the sect. As far as family rights are concerned, some magistrats consider every case as particular, having regard to delictuous deeds on one hand and educative offences on the other. From this controverse emerges an anthropological question : whose rights are we defending ? In this perspcetive, the concept of subject forges ahead the question of the social tie and of the sectarian tie. Looking back on the notions of family, religion and sciences enables us to bring out several existential standpoints towards freedom. A " sect " may be dissident, " religionistic " or " spiritualistic ". Danger for anyone, subject and society, has to be evaluated with regard to its position, to the nature of the group tie and its rites ? No human community built on a manuchean digma is safe from totalitarian practices. Utopian sectarian sects are particurlarly destructive in the way they try to cancel incarnation. In their aim to mould a perfect human being into their own schemes, these challenging worlds, these sterilized bubbles succeed in reducing their followers into objects animated by an active passivity. Motionned by an ostensible hostility towards democratic institutions, their leaders are guilty of crime against humanity. Ideological pratices attack life with regard to filiation, family, subject and culture

Texto completoHugh MacDiarmid is considered the most important Scottish poet of the 20th century. He is mostly celebrated for the Scots lyrics he wrote in the 1920s and his long poem A Drunk Man Looks at the Thistle, published in 1926. Because of their fragmentation, the poems of the Thirties, most of which were part of the unpublished project Mature Art, and In Memoriam James Joyce (1955), have not attracted the same critical attention. However, they represent the culmination of a very complex stylistic crisis that this study offers to analyse thanks to the question of bonds, especially problematic bonds. The poetry portrays humanity torn by social division, treason and death, but it deals with loss too, with a fundamental and founding loss for modern men: the loss of God, the embodiment of transcendent otherness. A diachronic analysis of the poems reveals how the transformation of MacDiarmid’s poetry may be understood as a rupture with the divine and as a process of secularisation. From A Drunk Man, the enunciator, the intertextual methods and the rhythm of the poetry change so as to allow the emergence of materialist lists and catalogues. Thanks to immanent terms and to the imitation of the infinite form of the pibroch, the poems display a post-Christian philosophy that abandons the concept of ending but retains that of end (aim). Humanity and poetry are still turned towards an immanent form of otherness, though one which they cannot reach. Finally, despite the pain caused by a never-ending quest for meaning, poetic writing makes serenity possible through the appearance of a vital existential option: sharing

Texto completoObedience puts us off. Associated with courage in Ancient Greece, seeked as a permanent frame of mind in the age of monasteries, and morally suspicious since the atrocities of World War II, obedience is, to say the least, infinitely complex. Although often likened to passivity, obedience veritably is an action on the part of the subject in its dealings with the social. It is one aspect of the subject’s general positioning within the social and the various utterances it involves, with the latter coming from a place of authority or domination in certain power dynamics. However, obedience works in specific ways for the educators responsible for teenagers in a children’s care home. It reveals itself as an ambiguous notion that this thesis attempts to conceptualise through a psychoanalytic exploration of the historical, philosophical, and sociological, discourses, from Antiquity to this day. I mobilise the notion of obedience to investigate the complex positionings of social education professionals. Being the paradigm of social relations, obedience brings us face to face with the question of the individual’s knotting together of its subjective position, the contingencies of the outside world, and the relationships the subject creates with authority and power. As at once a knotting in itself and that with which the subject has to negotiate, obedience either leads to a position of submission or to a choice, a decision. When this knotting does not happen, symptoms irrupt and set the subject in motion again, putting it to work. We could therefore say that it is as impossible not to obey as it is to be outside of any social rapport. It is, however, necessary to choose from the various subjective knottings of, and with, obedience; an inescapable, complex, and dynamic, choice, if ever there was one

Texto completoThe concept of legal subordination is in direct confrontation with the changing labor market. Given the constraints of employment law, the wage is leaking which promotes legal arrangements but also the real alternatives. These now supply the phenomenon of economically dependent workers, reflecting the extension of a gray area into borders of employment. It becomes increasingly difficult to define the employment contract. Yet the stakes are high, particularly with regard to the infringement of concealed work. The legal subordination is the distinguishing criterion of the employment contract, it should take stock of approaches successively proposed by doctrine and jurisprudence. The aim of this thesis is to try to take stock of this unstable concept to predict and suggest possible changes

Texto completoOcean circulation in the Gulf of Lions is both influenced by intense atmospheric forcings and the North Mediterranean Current (NMC). A 1/16◦ configuration of the Gulf of Lions has been used to represent the complex dynamics of this area but does not allow a correct modeling of the NMC. We have used the SEEK filter data assimilation method to combine the information contained in the model and the one coming from synthetic in situ and altimetric observations (from SARAL-AltiKa altimeter). Those observations have been extracted from a realist 1/64◦ configuration of the Gulf of Lions. To assess the quality of results, statistical and physical diagnostics have been developed and show a good quality of the experiment. Thanks to a better representation of this current at the surface and at depth as well as its mesoscale activity, we have managed to improve the quantity of cross shelf exchanges. Consequently, we have managed to improve shelf water characteristics, which have thus allowed the formation of dense waters in winter, their convection and cascading over the shelf break. Rhône river plume characteristics have also been improved thanks to data assimilation. We have finally shown that assimilating those new kinds of observations in operational systems should allow the control of small scale processes closed to the coast that are not controlled with present observational systems

Texto completoThe Gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata L.) is a migratory species, known to colonize coastal lagoons with high anthropogenic load, from spring to autumn. It is necessary to identify key lagoons for the seabream life cycle to allow better management and protection of gilthead seabream populations in the Gulf of Lions. For this, otolith microchemistry is a powerful tool. As it grows, this inner ear concretion absorbs chemical elements taken in its surrounding. Traped in the crystal net, these elements are an image of the environmental conditions met by the fish individual. It is then possible to rebuild fish past migrations. For this it is necessary to (i) precisely know the fish and otoliths growth calendars and (ii) identify chemical differences between the key habitats for the life cycle by choosing statistical methods for habitat discrimination.(i) The objective comparison of many growth models, combined to the analysis of an exceptionally old specimen allowed to propose a new scheme for the gilthead seabream growth and its otolith growth pattern was established ; (ii) the comparison of 4 statistical discrimination methods allowed to select the random forest method to differentiate the otolith chemical signatures of gilthead seabreams from various lagoons. These insights confirmed the already described migration pattern and emphasized a behavioural variability between individuals and between periods of life. The juveniles seem to prefer brackish lagoons, suggesting a nursery rôle for these habitats, whereas the adults prefer deeper lagoons as the Thau lagoon. The maintenance of the lagoons diversity is thus necessary for the preservation of the Gilthead seabream population in the Gulf of Lions

Texto completoRural areas in central highlands of Madagascar, where economy is based on rice-growing, suffer from deep poverty. The saturation of arable lands, in conjunction with a high demographic pressure, leads to reduction of farming units' size, and those units reach the edge of their viability. The need for an extra-local work is a solution initiated to address these constraints. In rural villages of Ampitatafika and Sandrandahy, two migration profiles are observed. In Ampitatafika, migration mainly takes place in early ages, the migration project remains individual and returns often occur for wedding and resuming of small-scale agricultural activities. In Sandrandahy, leavings stay significant in all age groups of population and a strong community mobilization is noticed to facilitate settling and professional integration of migrant, through wide structured migrant networks. On the first site, in spite of low amounts of remittances, an enhancement in households' living and producing conditions is observed. In Sandrandahy, the effects of remittances are limited, in spite of high remitted amounts. Community involvement in migration process, migrants' remittances behaviour, and the use of remittances by families, which all determine migration outcomes, are different for the sites. They result from a set of duties linked to only one aim, the preservation of local social tie, which is a fundamental value for these communities, but which are implemented in two different ways on each site

Texto completoThe purpose of this thesis is to understand the transformations undergone by power and social relations in contemporary Lao society. Laos is a choice field of investigation for these issues, because of the major political shift of 1975, when the Buddhist monarchy was replaced by a communist regime, which upset a well established symbolic order and further weakened an already little developed economy. After more than twenty years of isolationist policy, however, the government of Laos chose to promote market economy. In this context, the new urban elites are engaged in frantic social competition in order to legitimize their status. Using as its starting point the wedding receptions, which are vital events of Lao social life and the places par excellence of the representation of power and its holders, this thesis illustrates the changes brought about by the transition from a mode of legitimization of authority based on descent to a mode of clan-oriented political working. The increasingly asserted emergence of a desire for distinction is part of the major transformations observable during fieldwork. By privileging the point of view of "the relational individual" in the social construction, this work finally proposes a relational typology liable, on the one hand, to contribute to a synthesis of emergent social dynamics and, on the other hand, to lead to a "minimal model of the subject" allowing to foresee the ways along which an individual, as an interacting person, will act efficiently or not. For this purpose, special attention is focused on the study of relational emic mechanisms such as the piep (self-esteem), the kiet (honorability, worthiness) and the "face" (na)
Pouillaude, Hugo-Bernard. "Le lien de causalité dans le droit de la responsabilité administrative". Thesis, Paris 2, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA020054/document.
Texto completoCausal relationship is a central term in the law of administrative responsibility. Between fault and prejudice, the examination of causal relationship is an essential element of justice and constitutes an unavoidable intellectual requirement. It allows the judge to give an order which is both rational and just to facts. Reputed to be impenetrable, suspected of arbitrariness, driven into alleged decline by the development of the logic of insurance, causal relationship has never formed the object of a full-fledged study in public law. The analysis of the notion of causal relationship allows us to correct the image above. It first reveals that we have to distinguish the metaphysical problem of causality from the pragmatic question of causal explanation. The nature of the problem posed by these two questions is different. The question that is put to the judge is modest : give a rational explanation to facts without looking for the truth. It secondly allows to observe that the causal relationship, if it does not come close to being an objective observation of facts, does not bear the imprint of a specific subjectivity with regard to other indeterminate notions in law. The study of the practice of causal relationship bears witness to this. The administrative judge has an ordered approach of the causal relationship founded on a balance between attachment to the materiality of facts and the finality of causal explanation. In the identification of a cause, in the prioritization of multiple causes or in fixing damages, administrative jurisprudence is characterized by this freedom, which is in conformity with the Blanco ruling, in the determination of a jurisprudential policy that causal relationship sometimes renders possible, but which it only follows most often

Texto completoWe tried in this work to point out what is said about love in a non-Christian society. However, this concern quickly appeared iconoclast in the Japanese context. Love is not a topic for the Japanese ethnology. More exactly, the question does not interest because it has no object to study on, as one affirmed to us. There is no love in Japan, not more than in other exotic cultures. Love, and the disproportionate place that it occupies today in our societies, would be the prerogative of Western civilization. Possibly ! But with a proviso specifying about which kind of love one speaks. We, with this intention, tried to adopt the following step : to choose an indigenous term, an expression which sounds 'very Japanese', to become aware of all the width of its semantic field, to identify its practical applications ; to make a comparison between what it indicates decided to analyze. We will discuss its origin and the implications. Obviously, bond and love are not the same thing. They can however be mobilized at the same time in similar situations. We will quote a certain number of examples taken from Japanese literature to prove it. However, the essential share of this research wants to be ethnographic and raises of religious ethnology : it is a question of identifying worships rendered to divinities, to describe places, practices, objects, which are known as ""tying a bond", to try to recall logics

Texto completoRivers ensure the transport of suspended particulate matter (SPM) to the Sea, introducing sand, nutrients and contaminants. According to their drainange basin characteristics (mountainous relief, contrasting climates), Mediterranean rivers are naturally rich in SPM, but their fluxes are largely altered today because of damming. This study aims to understand the variability and evolution of the riverine SPM inputs to the Mediterranean sea by a multiscale approach. (1) In the Gulf of Lion, total SPM fluxes (and associated nutrients) were estimated on the long term through the development of a new method SiRCA (Simplified Rating Curve Approach). The lithology is the main control for the spatial variability of these fluxes, which attributes to the Rhône River the dominant role in the overall fluxes (95%). (2) In the Mediterranean basin, empirical modeling could be established which allows for the first time a complete quantification of the inputs by all the rivers in this region (997 Mt/an). It also confirms the importance of lithology among the dominant controlling factors. By combining this model with a database of large dams in this region, it has been calculated that about 35% of SPM are today retained behind dams. (3) In the Maghreb basin, finally the role of sediment retention by small dams and hillside reservoirs has been studied. A new database on these reservoirs was created and combined with the database on large dams. This study demonstrates that small dams probably retain the same amount of sediments that large dams
