The examination of these guides is made through the theory of Cultural Intelligence, a concept relatively new which is centered on the development of skills and flexibility to learn and assimilate aspects of a new culture.

We tried to focus analysis on some documents related to the intellectual culture of Cascudo. Produced by himself or on it. Detailing very specific characteristics of these documents, we tried to see in them some elements of social structures. These intellectual products, although different, the author ended a shared background. Taking some specific achievements of the author, sought to contribute to cultural issues involving Brazilian intellectuals in the twentieth century.

O presente trabalho pretende analisar a adoção de um conceito ampliado de cultura no discurso do Ministério da Cultura (MinC) no Governo Lula (2003-2010), compreendendo-o não como evento retórico, mas enquanto discurso, e assim prática social e política. Dito isto, procura-se situar este discurso dentro no contexto do governo Lula e de uma história recente das políticas culturais no Brasil, tendo em vista a constante relação da atual política cultural com discursos e diretrizes de outras gestões, bem como dos organismos internacionais. Desta forma, localiza-se este discurso enquanto inserido em uma cadeia interdiscursiva, onde o discurso se refere a atores posicionados no interior da sociedade, inseridos nas disputas hegemônicas. Para a consecução desta pesquisa, através da orientação teórico-metodológica da Análise do Discurso, foram analisados os discursos oficiais dos ministros e gestores do MinC que se tornaram públicos através do site da instituição, bem como artigos publicados no mesmo local.

Texto completoThe interest of this research is to discuss and identify the effects of three cultural transmission mechanisms used by participants in 4 experimental arrangements: Experimental Arrangement I: a) contact with the materials produced by tradition; b) contact with the tradition of co-participation, and c) contact with the tradition through observation; Experimental Arrangement II: contact with the materials produced by tradition; Experimental Arrangement III: Contact with the tradition through observation and; Experimental Arrangement IV: Contact with the tradition through co-participation. The participants had to draw a \'boat\' in three different situations. Each situation has been identified as: Phase A, B and C. Interviews were carried out in short intervals of each phase in order to identify constructions meanings, variations and stabilities concerning the interpretation given by each participant in relation to what was noticed in the tasks. Our study was a reorganization of the project developed by Caldwell and Millen (2008) where the authors sought from a cultural evolutionary perspective, identifying the perpetuation of products of activities throughout the generations of participants. Unlike Caldwell and Millen, we from a theoretical and methodological proposal coming from the discipline called Cultural Psychology where intends to study, discuss and understand the complex relationships, in which, people establish themselves, with others and with the world in its cultural field, in this perspective the emergence of novelties in relations gain greater prominence compared to the regularities and perpetuations. Thus, in this study weve considered culture as structures (stabilities) and interactive processes (variations) that constrain and enable the actions of people in their transformative relationships that are established in their world. Also, Cultural transmission is a construct used to understand the process in which cultural aspects are apprehended by people that interact with different cultures or between different generations within a culture. Main Results: 1) the individual(s)-culture(s) relations constraining and enabling the emergence of stability and variations in a dynamic bidirectional and multidirectional process, 2) the observation of the previous generation and contact with these generations through the artifacts produced by they promote more stabilities in products and meanings given by the participants in their tasks in comparison with coparticipation, 3) were able to identify the emergence of novelties, sometimes subtle, sometimes quite evident, in relationships established among the participants, 4) the relationship participantresearcher acquire dimensions and implications that deserve more attention in the study of cultural processes, from experimental methodologies, in Cultural Psychology. Therefore, weve noticed that the form proposed in this study about how to foresee the culture and theoretical-methodological ways followed, allowed us to work conceptually and experimentally on the process of cultural transmission and, therefore, on the study of cultural processes. Weve observed that besides giving us evidence that the process of cultural transmission ensures the uniqueness of each culture through observation of the previous generation in action, the joint participation with it and contact with cultural artifacts (in different degrees and measures), this research allowed us to question and contemplate future studies on the scientific-experimental in cultural psychology

First, an analysis of the current situation was obtained which reflects the need for cultural equipment that promotes local culture through the original Amazonian ethnic groups. Therefore, we inquired about the place in terms of its great cultural, natural, tourist potential that it has as a region and the social, cultural and educational problems. Currently, a proposal for a cultural space that complements and encourages the education and culture sector is necessary, revaluing customs, local traditions. Also, non-architectural models were obtained through referential cultural spaces at a global, national and regional level that brings us closer to the activities to be developed in the cultural space. Likewise, reference books and projects of the typology and emphasis of regionalism were analyzed in order to obtain design guidelines regarding the aspects of location, form, function and the most appropriate and pertinent technological aspects for the intervention of the cultural spaces

Texto completoThe city of Sao Luiz do Paraitinga, located in the Paraiba Valley, State of Sao Paulo, in the first days of calendar year 2010, was hit by the biggest flood in its history. The waters of the river Paraitinga rose about twelve meters above its usual riverbed, causing destruction of a great portion of the architectural heritage and causing several damages to the affected population. The process of reconstruction of the city had the local culture in a leading role since in various situations the government and agencies responsible for national heritage preser-vation were forced to review pre-designed projects and contemplate the identity of that community as an essential goal. In order to study this leadership of popular culture in the process of rebuilding São Luiz do Paraitinga, I first brought up the significance that memory and expressions of pop-ular culture have for the identity of the town. Directly involved in the process, which was also my object of study, I collected rich documentation that along with my experience jus-tified the analysis presented. In that analysis, I highlight the main role that peoples life-style played in different moments which are linked to the tragedy that occurred, to the ac-tions taken to return to normality and to the reconstruction of what had been destroyed. The experience brought significant contributions, not only to the people of Sao Luiz do Paraitinga, but also to the understanding of situations resultant from disasters that change the living conditions in cities, completely transforming its daily routines as well as the practices of governmental and collective agencies and the population.

Texto completoFor about one decade the notion of Intangible Cultural Heritage is being incorporated within the cultural heritage policies by the Latin American states, and also in an international context, from the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (UNESCO, 2003). In this thesis the experiences of identification and registry of this category of heritage in Brazil and Mexico are analysed, by means of an appreciation of official documents produced within this policy, the Registry Dossiers (Dossiês de registro) made in Brazil and Mexican Inventory of Intangible Heritage (Inventario del Patrimonio Inmaterial). Based on the history of the cultural policies and the relationship between State and popular culture, it is considered that this kind of acknowledgment has specific characteristics in Latin America, setting the potentialities and challenges of the implementation of such politics in this context. Begining by this concern and the analysis of the mentioned documents, two related thematic axes were defined, which guided the comparison between Brazil and Mexico. The first of them refer to the deployment of the widening of the notion of culture, which characterizes this type of cultural heritage, to the heritage policies of these countries. It is verified that such widening results in the incorporation of social tensions, equally broad, within the universe of concern of this area of state intervention. The second axis privilege questions related to the process of attribution of value to cultural manifestations, practices and expressions as heritage. There has been identified the politization of this kind of acknowledgement, as far as it means to corroborate officially the values previously attributed to such heritage in its production context. In this sense, as of the official documentation an analysis is developed about the process of negociation of criteria and concepts of valuing, as well as the legitimacy of collective beings, State anda other groups of holders of cultural heritage in its recognition process.

Texto completoThe research started from the following matrix question: Arte there public policies for the countryside culture in Brazil? The work required an understanding of theoretical-conceptual nature of cultural policies and the rural culture, from scattered references that would enable a critical look at what could be found in an empirical research . The references it used were articulated from the perspective of an awareness of the relations of power and domination that influence and challenge the reality analyzed. In turn, the empirical research sought to raise and discuss the cultural actions of Brazilian State that include or are focused on rural populations. The research found that there is no systematic policy in the country designed specifically for the rural culture. There are only actions and programs, with other goals, that end up covering the cultural development of peasant populations. Considering that around 30 million people live in the countryside, it can be stated that: i) the existing support to rural cultural practices are scarce in relation to the existing demand and face many difficulties to be developed; ii) the prevailing cultural policies in general - laws to encourage culture - are far from the reality of rural communities; iii) there is consistent paths for the development of the cultural dimension of the countryside which need to be increasingly and continuously deepened so as to promote cultural changes with the capacity to transform structures of domination and exploitation within Brazilian reality

A presente dissertação examinou os enlaces entre cultura, política e mercado na Bahia tendo como horizonte temporal os fenômenos ocorridos nas duas últimas décadas em nosso Estado com as transformações ocorridas no campo da criação e da produção cultural contemporânea. A pesquisa ancorou-se em dois eixos de análise: 1) na compreensão da relevância dada aos campos político e econômico na configuração que a cultura adquiriu a partir do século XX; 2) na compreensão das transformações ocorridas no campo da gestão pública da cultura, orientadas pela interseção, cada vez mais presente, entre cultura e entretenimento, política e economia, adotando-se como célula de análise a criação da Secretaria da Cultura e Turismo do Estado da Bahia. Os resultados desta investigação possibilitaram inferir que, ao priorizar as áreas da cultura e do turismo como agendas de destaque, o empreendimento do grupo político liderado pelo senador Antonio Carlos Magalhães estava atento à crescente demanda por bens culturais, fenômeno ocorrido em escala global. O esteio deste empreendimento foi a adoção de uma ampla intervenção no campo da criação e da produção cultural, centrada na celebração da singularidade e diversidade da identidade baiana como elemento de diferenciação simbólica.

Mas, ao mesmo tempo, as diferenças culturais entre países, regiões e nacionalidades criaram conflitos culturais, o que significa que um desafio central para as empresas e gestores empresariais. Uma vez que cultura e economia são interdependentes e inseparáveis, é necessário prestar mais atenção às diferenças culturais, e estratégias adequadas de gestão de conflitos culturais poderiam resolver as possíveis perdas causadas pelas diferenças culturais. Portanto, esta dissertação utiliza o caso de uma empresa chinesa de aquisição - Bison Bank em Portugal, utiliza a metodologia de investigação qualitativa para analisar o impacto da cultura nacional do país anfitrião na sua cultura organizacional e as implicações desta influência na gestão transcultural.
As the scale and scope of multinational corporations continue to expand, more and more Chinese companies enter the Portuguese market. But at the same time, cultural differences between countries, regions and nationalities have created cultural conflicts, which means that a central challenge for companies and business managers. Since culture and economy are interdependent and inseparable, it is necessary to pay more attention to cultural differences, and proper management strategies of cultural conflicts could solve the possible losses caused by cultural differences. Therefore, this dissertation uses the case of a Chinese acquisition company - Bison Bank in Portugal, uses the qualitative research methodology to analyze the impact of the host country's national culture on its organizational culture and the implications of this influence on cross-cultural management.

A principal questão desta tese diz respeito a quais representações foram utilizadas por distintos produtos culturais para construir as categorias do Ocidente e do Oriente após os atentados terroristas de 11 de Setembro de 2001, justamente num momento em que se intensificaram, na produção cultural industrializada, as referências aos países do Oriente Médio e aos Estados Unidos. Portanto, esta pesquisa tem a pretensão de discutir a formação da identidade de árabes e americanos, destacando as representações que mais apareceram em diversos produtos culturais. Para isso, definiu-se como corte cronológico o período entre o atentado terrorista de 11 de setembro de 2001 e a 2a. Guerra do Golfo, em 2003. The main focus of this thesis is the representations that have been used in various cultural products in order to construct the categories of Orient and Occident post September 11th , 2001. During the period covered the references to Middle Eastern countries and to the United States increased within industrialized cultural production. Thus, the intent of this thesis is to discuss the identity formation of Arabs and Americans in diverse cultural products, to try to discover what kind of stereotypes were present in the products analyzed. To do this, the time period for analysis was defined as being between the terrorist assault on September 11th, 2001 and the 2nd Gulf War, in 2003. The research sample included diverse cultural products (such as comics books and ‘cordel’, a typical brazilian literature form), and also includes some journalistic products (such as Veja and The New Yorker magazines). Texto completoThe influence of culture on physiological and psychological outcomes has been discussed frequently in the research literature. This type of study confronts serious conceptual and methodological problems. The concept and measurement of cultural consonance has been proposed as a solution for these problems. Cultural consonance refers to the degree to which each individual approximates, in his own behavior or beliefs the prototypes for belief and behavior codified in shared cultural models. The objective of this work was to analyze correlations between cultural consonance and depression evaluated in two distinct time periods with an interval of two years between the first and second applications. Initially, the study evaluated 271 subjects distributed into four socio-economically stratified districts of a city from the inland of the state of São Paulo. Two years after the first application, all subjects were once again invited to participate in the research and 210 agreed, composing the total subjects of the second sample, which is equivalent to 77.5% of participation rate in the follow-up study. Cultural consonance scales assessing four cultural domains were applied in both time periods, lifestyles (CCEV, CCEV2), social support (CCSS, CCSS2), family life (CCVF, CCVF2) and national characteristics (CCCN, CCCN2), as well as a depression scale, also applied in both periods (CES-D, CES-D2). Stressful life events, a known correlate of depression, was also included in the study. The aim of including this variable was to assess the correlation of cultural consonance with depression, controlling for a known effect on depression. The results obtained by means of the Pearson correlation analysis demonstrated correlations in all cultural consonance scales CCEV x CCEV2 (r = .815), CCSS x CCSS2 (r = .569), CCVF x CCVF2 (r = .647), CCCN x CCCN2 (r = .604), and all correlations presented significance level of p<0.01. The correlation between CES-D x CES-D2 (r = .622) also presented significance level of p<0.01. Correlations between cultural consonance and depression were observed in both time periods. When cultural consonance in the domains of lifestyle, social support and family life was considered, higher scores on each measure were associated with lower levels of depressive symptoms. On the other hand, when national characteristics domain was considered, the results obtained were the opposite, indicating that the higher the cultural consonance in this domains is, the higher the depression values will be. Controlling results by stressful life events, an effect of the cultural consonance on depression was observed in the following cultural domains: lifestyle (r = -.355), family life (r = -.308) and national characteristics (r = .250), with significance levels for lifestyle and family life of p<0.01 and for national characteristics of p<0.05. A cultural consonance general factor was calculated and its correlation with depression, controlled by stressful life events, verified (r = -.267), with significance level of p<0.05. These results suggest cultural consonance as an independent variable associated to depression in community (r2 = .071), which could explain from 5% to 10% of this distribution. The cultural consonance theoretical and empirical model seems to be a useful alternative for studies developed in the community in the agenda of studies involving culture and depression.

In Ilhabela, north coast of São Paulo State, São Beneditos Party which has as a culminating point the São Beneditos Congada has being realized an hundred fifty years ago, without any interruption. This party received great African influence and didnt become a simple entertainment, keeping its tradition as a manifestation of great popular religiosity, where the sacred and the profane were connected in a faith and solidarity proof, which passes along generations and consists of a Brazilian immaterial patrimony. We must understand that not only the government must acts as the responsible under an engagement for the preservation and safeguard of this cultural resource, but also the whole local community, the truth owner of the knowledge and from whom depend the effective practice on the transmission for the future generations. This study realized a bibliographic and inquiry research, looking for a theoretic reference to the understanding and elucidation of the facts, without despising the collective memory register obtained through opened interviews made with the party owners.

Resumo: Esta pesquisa propõe um estudo epistemológico das representações da identidade cultural local na contemporaneidade, tendo o estado de Mato Grosso do Sul como espaço geográfico de investigação a partir de algumas das pinturas de paisagens dos artistas plásticos sul-mato-grossenses Wega Nery (1912-2007), Henrique Spengler (1958 ¿ 2003), Jorapimo (1937 ¿ 2009) e Ilton Silva (1943) realizadas, respectivamente, nas décadas de 1980, 1990, 2000 e 2010. Valendo-me das discussões acerca das identidades culturais, e tomando as pinturas de paisagens dos referidos artistas como registro das mudanças socioculturais na última virada do século, especialmente, e o avanço da globalização, a pesquisa visa discutir a forma de representação contemporânea das identidades culturais dos indivíduos locais na produção artística desses artistas sul-mato-grossenses. Como aportes teóricos que sustentarão as discussões na pesquisa serão tomados conceitos e reflexões oriundos das teorias pós-coloniais, da crítica biográfica e da crítica cultural, especialmente as formuladas na América Latina e por estudiosos brasileiros
Abstract: This research proposes an epistemological study of the representations from the local cultural identity in the contemporaneity, it has the state of Mato Grosso do Sul as the geographical space of investigation specially some landscapes¿ paintings of the sul-mato-grossenses artists Wega Nery (1912-2007), Henrique Spengler (1958-2003), Jorapimo (1937-2009) and Ilton Silva (1943) produced, respectively, in the 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010 decades. Using the discussions concerned to cultural identities, and taking the landscapes¿ paintings of the previous artists as a register of the sociocultural changes in the last turn of the century, mainly, and the globalizations advances, the research aims to discuss the contemporary representation form of the cultural identities from the local individuals in the artistic production of the Artists from the State of Mato Grosso do Sul. As theoretical background that will support the discussions in this research, it will be used concepts and reflections related to the post-colonial theories, the biographical criticism and cultural criticism, mainly those formulated in the Latin American and by Brazilian scholars

Resumo: Nas últimas décadas ocorreu uma singular aproximação entre as produções culturais e o mercado. Na imediaticidade do cotidiano observa-se a utilização da cultura como forma de valorizar a imagem da cidade, como uma modalidade de marketing para grandes corporações bem como uma forma de investimento especulativo. A partir dessas manifestações aparentes, mas não se limitando a elas, buscar-se-á a explicação do processo de cooptação da cultura pelo mercado, elucidando a particularidade brasileira e vinculando-a ao movimento de mundialização do capital. A presente tese tem como objetivo, portanto, explicitar e apreender como e por que, entre os anos de 2003 a 2013, houve um movimento de intensificação da mercantilização da cultura. Para tal apreensão, partindo da imediaticidade do real, realiza-se a análise das empresas fomentadoras de cultura que se beneficiam da Lei nº 8.313/91 que trata do incentivo à cultura, popularmente conhecida como Lei Rouanet. A hipótese apresentada é a de que a cultura se insere de diferentes formas no movimento de reprodução do capital: como um serviço, agregando valor à marca e à cidade e, assim, contribuindo para processos especulativos e criadores de renda; e como uma mercadoria que permite a realização de outras mercadorias que contêm um alto grau de tecnologia, como os aparelhos eletroeletrônicos e informacionais. Abstract: In the last few decades there has been a unique approach between cultural productions and the market. In the immediacy of daily life, there can be noticed the use of culture as a means of enhancing the image of the city, as a method of marketing for large corporations, as well as a form of speculative investment. From these apparent manifestations, yet not limited to them, this research will seek to explain the process of co-optation of culture by the market, elucidating Brazilian's peculiarity and linking it to the movement of capital globalization. Therefore, this thesis aims to clarify and understand how and why, between the years of 2003 and 2013, there has been a movement of intensification of cultural commodification. For such understanding, starting from the immediacy of the real, there will be carried out an analysis of the companies that promote culture and are benefited by Law 8,313/91 - popularly known as Lei Rouanet -, a Federal Law for cultural incentive. The hypothesis presented here is that culture is inserted in different ways in the movement of capital reproduction: as a service, adding value to the brand and to the city, thus contributing to processes of speculation and income creation; and as a commodity that enables the achievement of other goods with high technology, such as electronic and informational appliances. It is up to Brazilian State, through the expansion of the incentive law, to play the role of mediator between cultural productions and the market, contributing institutionally to the process of production and reproduction of capital both in national, international, and speculative sectors. A pesquisa Diversidade Cultural Religiosa na Cultura da Escola tem por objetivo compreender como acontecem as interações e relações entre as diferentes identidades religiosas na cultura de uma escola pública da cidade de Florianópolis/SC. Entende Diversidade Cultural como os conjuntos de símbolos e significados peculiares construídos por cada sujeito/grupo social, através do tempo e do espaço, que servem de referência para a configuração de identidades pessoais e coletivas. Concebe o humano como um ser sócio-histórico-cultural, que constrói sua(s) identidade(s) a partir das relações de poder e estratégias de resistência, num processo de apropriação/produção das culturas. Compreende cultura da escola como amálgama dos imperativos da cultura escolar, da influência da conjuntura histórica, geográfica, social e cultural do contexto na qual a escola está situada e da teia de significados tecidos no cotidiano pela trama das relações entre seus sujeitos. Utilizando a etnografia como metodologia, esta investigação possibilita entrever as dificuldades da cultura da escola em respeitar e acolher positivamente as diversas identidades religiosas, com seus muitos olhares, rostos, nomes, textos, ritos e símbolos. O não reconhecimento da diversidade cultural religiosa e a naturalização de preconceitos que legitimam processos de exclusão e desigualdade evidenciam a necessidade da escola se desprender da perspectiva monocultural, integrando a diversidade de culturas e os diferentes sujeitos sócio-histórico-culturais presentes em seu contexto. A escola está sendo desafiada a abrir espaços para a alteridade, modificando os ritos, ritmos e processos que colaboram para a manutenção dos rótulos e estereótipos perante as crenças afro-brasileiras e pentecostais. O desafio é buscar outra forma de relacionamento com a diversidade cultural que permita compreendê-las em suas bases lógicas e epistemológicas. Um pensamento que afirme a existência de diversas racionalidades, todas legítimas e constituídas por sujeitos no seio de suas culturas, abrindo possibilidades para diálogos e interações positivas entre elas. The research Religious Cultural Diversity in the Culture of the School has the goal to understand the way happen the interactions and relations between the different religious identities in the culture of a public school from Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. It understands Diversity Cultural as the sets of symbols and peculiar meanings constructed by each citizen/social group, through the time and the space that serve as a reference for the configuration of personal and collective identities. The human being is conceived as a social, historical and cultural being that constructs his/her identity from the relations of power and strategies of resistance in an appropriation process/production of cultures. It understands the culture of the school as amalgam of the imperatives of the school culture, of the influence of historical, geographic, social and cultural from the context in which the school is situated and the relations among the citizens. Using the ethnography as methodology, this investigation allows seeing indistinctly the difficulties of the culture of the school in respecting and receiving the diverse religious identities positively, with its many looks, faces, names, texts, rites and symbols. The non recognition of the religious cultural diversity and the naturalization of preconceptions that legitimize processes of exclusion and inequality evidence the necessity of the school disconnect itself from the monoculture perspective, integrating the diversity of cultures and the different social, historical and cultural citizens present in its context. The school is being defied to open spaces for changing's, modifying the rites, rhythms and processes that collaborate for the maintenance of the labels and stereotypes facing the afro-Brazilians and Pentecostals beliefs. The challenge is to search another form of relationship with the cultural diversity that allows understanding them in its logical and epistemological bases. A thought that affirms the existence of diverse rationalities, all legitimated and constituted by citizens in their cultures, opening positive possibilities for dialogs and interactions among them.

The thesis focuses on understanding how the State conceives culture and how it determines that citizens have the right to access it. To do so, it has to create a series of laws, institutions, programs and actions. This way of understanding and facilitating access to culture does not always respond to the needs of citizens who have now demanded new forms of access and institutions in which to actively access culture. The thesis delves into this tension between the culture of the State and the cultural needs and demands that arise from the citizenship, focusing on how the cultural spaces of proximity, whether public, private or common, are the place where the notion of access is negotiated, often in tension, and where new ways of understanding and valuing culture are demanded.

Texto completoEsta pesquisa objetiva analisar as diferentes estratégias de arranjos e re-arranjos de grupos tradicionais de cultura popular no que tange à gestão de suas criações e representações, através da ação de seus autores-atores. Meu foco recai sobre como os autores-atores de cultura popular dialogam entre agentes diretos de criação, as diferentes instituições, pessoas da sociedade civil, do mundo agenciador local e do poder público. Para tanto, meus sujeitos e interlocutores foram grupos de Dança de São Gonçalo entre as cidades de Buritizeiro e Várzea da Palma, e grupos de Folias de Reis entre as cidades de Pirapora e São Francisco. Junto a eles e a partir de seus depoimentos procurei compreender como eles procuram, através de diferentes estratégias, e aprendem a gerenciar o que eles criam e apresentam, de modo a preservarem o contexto de suas representações rituais e a ampliar o contexto social de suas apresentações. Tratarei aqui dos caminhos entre o fazer do povo e o fazer para o povo, do apresentar e do representar, a partir de uma reflexão sobre os conceitos de cultura, cultura popular e patrimônio cultural. Baseio-me em autores como Raymond Williams, Michel de Certeau, Carlos Brandão, Terry Eagleton, assim como nas falas e depoimentos dos guias e foliões de Santos Reis e tocadores e dançadores de São Gonçalo com quem estive e pesquisei. Veremos que cada um dos grupos, sobretudo através de seu dirigente, buscou um caminho próprio, entre fincar o pé na mais pura tradicionalidade mineira, e o abrirse a inovações e/ou à proteção e ao subsídio de entidades de fora. Alguns grupos mantiveram-se organizados segundo os seus padrões mais tradicionais e comunitários, na mesma medida em que outros seguiram a tendência crescentemente moderna de se institucionalizarem segundo normas e padrões oficiais.

Texto completoThis thesis aims to contribute to the definition and development of the concept \"cultural negotiation\", understood as a theoretical-methodological category guiding the mediation processes used to suit the written culture. Three cultural devices were studied and their actions are related to the writing mediation in three different contexts: Kaffehuset Friele Educational and Cultural Center, located in Minas Gerais rural area; Einstein Knowledge Station, in Paraisópolis, the second largest slum located in Sao Paulo City, and Louise MIchel Public Library, located in greater Paris/France, which has a large amount of immigrants. Collaborative methodology has been used, in other words, a scientific construction process based on the dialogue between scientific knowledge and \"action\", adopting, however, a perspective that does not reduce or overlap one another. The results indicate that by acknowledging and incorporating their concepts and processes, the conflicts caused by divergences and/or asymmetries between the different individuals, groups, segments, categories, sociocultural matrix (readers/non-readers, oral tradition/written culture), the studied devices, unlike others of the same content are, rather than instances of control and/or dissemination, they are instances of cultural negotiation involving subjects, texts and contexts in active, assertive and complex processes of information and cultural appropriation, including - but not exclusively - written culture. The concept of cultural negotiation, therefore, points out to new perspectives concerning written culture, as well as cultural appropriation as a whole. Simultaneously, it indicates to be able to contribute to redefine essential practices and concepts of cultural mediation and its paradigms.

Texto completoThis research investigates the encounter of different professional cultures, based on the concept of interculturalism, which assumes coexistence and exchange of cultures of individuals from different states or countries with cultures of native people in the same space organizational. This concept goes beyond the purpose of such meeting different cultures. Thus we sought to examine the topic in a higher learning federal institution in the city of Caruaru, located in rural Pernambuco region, which was built around a trade, and generated in the city where the institution has been installed, the Caruaru Fair. It is emphasized that interculturalism, for this study, originated from the mobility of individuals within the country. In addressing the issue, we used the discipline Anthropology to explain theoretically the study of cultures in a macro context and guiding greatly the conclusions of this research. In a micro context, the theoretical foundations of organizational cultures on private and, public greatly, proposed discussions related to the theme. In order to achieve the objectives of the study presented here, we used a study of qualitative and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14 individuals - teachers and administrative technicians – from the institution called Centro Acadêmico do Agreste (CAA), a unit belonging to the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. The interviews were analyzed using content analysis and their lines generated categories discussed through the theoretical framework presented in the text. The results showed that, in addition to the professional cultures of subjects presenting the three perspectives of studies of Martin (1992) - identified as integrated culture, differentiated and fragmented -, was outlined a construction rising crop specific space striving to overlap the front cultures of the institution that originated the CAA, which is the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. The meeting of native and foreign professionals cultures provided a clash of cultures and pointed out difficulties and facilities at various times. Furthermore, this study corroborated the findings of studies already done that emphasized respect for local cultures and foreign as an essential requirement for a good interaction between organizational actors in various donor private and / or public.

Texto completoThis study aims to seek a greater understanding of comics as a cultural product and to understand how, over the years, it has undergone a process of legitimation that has removed it from the stigma of mere mass article, with no cultural value, for a culturally valued object. We sought at first to understand where prejudice against mass culture and consequently against comics arises, and how such prejudice can be understood from a relation of power established by the use of the concept of \"culture \". For this, the initial methodological approach was based on the Cultural Studies, especially from the reformulation of the concept of culture proposed by Raymond Williams, in addition to the premises of other culture scholars, focusing mainly on the concepts of ideology, by John B. Thompson, and of distinction, by Pierre Bourdieu. Within a phenomenological approach, the Depth Hermeneutics proposed by John B. Thompson was selected. The technique of data collection used is indirect documentation, constituted by bibliographic research (texts, academic or not, related to the object and methodology adopted) and documentary research (the set of selected comics). A time line was drawn, in the North American context, which sought to demonstrate that the process of cultural legitimacy began in the 1960s with the European intellectual movement and the North American underground movement, followed by the publication of Art Spiegelman\'s Maus and the arrival of graphic novels in the market. In addition, we tried to elucidate how comics constitute a specific and autonomous field of cultural production that has little to do with the field of literature or the plastic arts. To this end, we turned to Pierre Bourdieu\'s field concept. As main results, it was identified that the comic books came to be valued as a legitimate cultural product and instances that previously despised them, began to recognize its value and importance in the world cultural spectrum. Texto completoNuma época em que a globalização avança a largos passos e vários investigadores consideram que as práticas de gestão e produtos tendem para uma uniformização nos mais diversos países, as culturas nacionais continuam a colocar um travão a este fenómeno. Cada cultura contínua a marcar fortemente a sua identidade, causando um dos possíveis principais problemas de gestão a uma organização que pretenda iniciar um processo de expansão internacional. O investimento de empresas portuguesas na China tem sofrido um aumento substancial nos últimos anos. Desta forma é relevante estudar se a cultura tem sido um entrave à instalação destas empresas, uma vez que estamos perante duas culturas tão distintas. Para tal, recorreu-se a um estudo de caso sobre uma joint-venture entre uma empresa portuguesa e uma chinesa. Foi possível detetar que na fase de instalação o choque cultural não é forçosamente negativo e sugerido que na gestão corrente o impacto seja talvez maior.
At a time when globalization is increasingly and more researchers consider that products and management practices tend to uniformity in several countries, national cultures still put a stop to this phenomenon. Each continuous culture strongly marks its identity, causing one of the possible significant management problems for an organization wishing to start a process of international expansion. The investment of Portuguese companies in China has been increasing a lot in the past few years. In this way is relevant to study if the culture has been an obstacle to the instalation of these companies, since we are dealing with two cultures so different. It was possible to detect that during the installation fase, the culture shock is not negative and is suggested that perhaps the impact on current management may be bigger.

Tourism a recent phenomenon with multiple interpretations, which cover various sciences such as anthropology, psychology and administration. Cultural tourism, an alternative form of tourism that should be developed in a sustainable manner so as not to exhaust the local, not to rob and not to extinguish the attractions of the place. But it occurs to cultural tourism is necessary that the local population has not only material assets and, yes, intangible assets, which can distinguish between the sites that have similar heritage matters. It should have traditions, values and histories, or that their culture is the cornerstone for the existence and maintenance of cultural tourism site. Make an analysis of tourism resources of Pirenopolis in order to identify them, in order to turn them into tourist products, and thus sustainably use. The analysis uses a resource study of the tourism system, the SWOT analysis and ultimately will be made to the methodology of inventory that will identify the current capabilities and potential of the site so you can use them sustainably.
Falar de turismo hoje está em moda, principalmente que estamos vivenciando o desenvolvimento do mesmo do Estado, estudar o turismo apresenta várias interfaces que podem ser: a cultura, o patrimônio cultural e, também o turismo cultural que uma modalidade de turismo existente. Turismo um fenômeno recente com várias interpretações, por abranger diversas ciências como antropologia, administração e psicologia. O turismo cultural, uma forma alternativa de turismo, que deve ser desenvolvido de maneira sustentável para não esgotar o local, não depredar e não extinguir os atrativos do local. Mas para que ocorra turismo cultural é necessário que a população local tenha não só patrimônios materiais e, sim, patrimônios imateriais, que podem fazer a diferenciação dos locais que possuem patrimônios matérias parecidos. Tem que possuir tradições, valores e folclores, ou seja, a sua cultura que é o diferencial para a existência e manutenção do turismo cultural local. Fazer uma análise dos recursos turísticos de Pirenópolis, a fim de identificá-los, com o intuito de transformálos em produtos turísticos e, consequentemente, utilizar de maneira sustentável. A analise dos recursos utilizará um estudo do sistema turístico, da análise SWOT e, por fim, será feito à metodologia de inventário que identificará os recursos atuais e potencias do local para que se possa utilizá-los de maneira sustentável.

Texto completoThis study explores and discusses how students from the teacher training program of the Visual Arts School of the Federal University of Goiás relate to the idea of cultural difference taking as reference the video clip Birdman, from Coca-cola. The study articulates three focus: 1) what students understand as cultural difference the phenomenon and the social actors with whom they identify this theme; 2) what values cultural difference has for their lives and for society; 3) what motivates them to discuss - or not - questions about cultural difference based on publicity images and how they would do it. The research promotes a discussion crossing the student s point of views, my own positions and the points of view of various authors (from cultural studies and visual culture education) building an analyses about repertoires, interests, conflicts and ambiguities that orientate such positionings. These focus were achieved through the choice of a qualitative approach guided by the expectation to work deeply the subjects perceptions and interpretations. The methodological procedures chosen to gather the data were individual and focal open interviews. Six students of the program participated on the investigation: two attending the fourth semester of the program, two attending the sixth and two attending the eighth. Using an advertising VT to discuss and analyze cultural difference, this study pretends to contribute for a critical visual culture education.
Esta dissertação explora e discute como alunos da Licenciatura em Arte Visuais da Faculdade de Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal de Goiás (FAV/UFG) se relacionam com a ideia de diferença cultural a partir do VT publicitário Birdman, da Coca-cola. O objetivo da pesquisa se articula através dos seguintes focos: 1) o que entendem por diferença cultural - quais os fenômenos e/ou atores sociais com os quais identificam este tema; 2) que valor(es) entendem que a diferença cultural tem para suas vidas e para a sociedade; 3) que motivos os levam a discutir ou não questões de diferença cultural a partir de imagens de publicidade e como fariam isso. Mais do que coletar informações dos colaboradores, a pesquisa promove uma discussão que entrecruza minhas posições sobre o tema e os pontos de vista de autores (dos estudos culturais e da educação da cultura visual) construindo uma reflexão acerca dos repertórios, interesses, conflitos e ambiguidades que pautam tais posicionamentos. Para que tais intenções fossem concretizadas, foram necessárias algumas decisões metodológicas. A escolha da abordagem qualitativa é consequência desta intenção de trabalhar com percepções e interpretações dos colaboradores e pensá-las em profundidade. Os procedimentos escolhidos para coleta de dados foram entrevistas, tanto individual quanto em grupo. Seis alunos participaram da pesquisa, sendo dois do quarto período, dois do sexto e dois do oitavo. Utilizando uma imagem publicitária para discutir o tema diferença cultural, esta dissertação almeja contribuir com a educação da cultura visual.

Despite it's being considered marginal and don't attend to the market thinking, the underground culture is present in the traditional media. Then, this essay attempted to get the concept of underground culture built by the newspaper Correio da Paraíba with its daily cultural journalism, analyzing the technical features of the underground culture, identifying the discursive strategies adopted by this newspaper when approach to the subject-matter and questioning the historical background in the appearance of underground movements. The interdisciplinary study is theoretically based in the mass media mainly on constructivist theories of journalism, in the Sociology specially on daily sociology in the Michael Maffesoli point of view, in the Linguistics reasoned on the analysis of the media discourse proposed by Patrick Charaudeau which was adopted as a method. Accordingly to this, 30 articles by the editorship of culture from the newspaper Correio da Paraíba, published in the years 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010 were analyzed. The research suggest the concept of underground culture constructed by the newspaper is fashioned by these following core meanings: marginal behavior, fight against the political system, characters and works of the underground movement, independent / alternative character in relation to the market and criticism to the fidelity of the underground values.
Apesar de ser considerada marginal e não atender à lógica do mercado, a cultura underground está presente na mídia tradicional. Assim, esta dissertação buscou conhecer o conceito de cultura underground construído pelo jornal Correio da Paraíba no cotidiano do jornalismo cultural, analisando as características da cultura underground, identificando as estratégias discursivas adotadas pelo jornal ao abordar o tema e problematizando os contextos históricos de surgimento dos movimentos undergrounds. A investigação interdisciplinar fundamenta-se teoricamente na Comunicação Social, especialmente nas teorias construtivistas do jornalismo, na Sociologia, especificamente na Sociologia do Cotidiano na visão de Michel Maffesoli e na Linguística, na análise do discurso midiático proposta por Patrick Charaudeau, que foi adotada como método. Nesse sentido, foram analisadas 30 matérias da editoria de cultura do jornal Correio da Paraíba publicadas nos anos de 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000 e 2010. A pesquisa aponta que o conceito de cultura underground construído pelo jornal analisado é formado pelos seguintes núcleos de significados: comportamento marginal, combate ao sistema político, personagens e obras do movimento underground, caráter independente/alternativo em relação ao mercado e a crítica à fidelidade dos valores undergrounds.

Esta Dissertação apresenta um estudo de caso sobre a formação e consolidação da cultura organizacional em uma empresa recém criada, fruto de processo de fusão que envolveu seis outras empresas. Para tanto, utiliza uma pesquisa tipo survey para levantar a percepção dos integrantes e análise de documentação. É investigado o processo de formação e consolidação da cultura, analisando a aderência ao modelo de gestão adotado pela empresa, bem como as características e diferenças observadas nas diferentes unidades que vieram a compor a nova empresa e sua evolução ao longo dos seus dois anos de vida. São, também, apresentados conceitos e definições sobre cultura organizacional, incluindo a discussão sobre a cultura organizacional nos processos de fusões e aquisições. O presente trabalho visa, também, contribuir para a organização estudada, refletindo sobre o resultado das ações empreendidas e fornecendo elementos que podem ser usados para o gerenciamento do processo de mudança ainda em curso.

Texto completoThis thesis focuses on the website of the cable television channel Discovery Kids and, more specifically, on the articles posted in the section called My Kids - Connected with your children. The study aims to point out “pedagogies” operating in those articles and intended to manage the behavior of children whose parents the section is addressed to. The thesis has relied on the Cultural Studies from their post-structuralist perspective. The methodological procedures guiding the study have involved the mapping of themes and purposes approached in more than 200 articles in the My Kids section along the years of 2012, 2013 and 2014. The articles addressed a wide range of topics and representations of children, some of which have been divided into four main categories in this study: a) Powerful, intelligent, bright children; b) Happy, successful children; c) “Upgraded” babies: keen on music, reading and mathematics; d) Peevish, badly-behaved, naughty children. Such representations of children were (re)created in pedagogies triggered in My Kids articles (and in other sections as well) in a combination of lessons that describe, exemplify, explain, delimit and project desirable conducts for today’s children. The examined articles projected children’s happiness for the future. Texto completoThis research aims at comprehending the relation between culture and human rights established by the regulatory production of the National Culture System (CNS), specifically between the 52rd and 54rh legislatures in the Brazilian National Congress, as well as understanding the impacts of this production in the achievement of cultural rights through public cultural policies. Thus, we conducted a gathering of legislative proposals which have been approved or are still in progress referring to the institutionalization and regulation of the National Culture System and its main components. The analysis of these legal frameworks was guided by the concept of culture adopted in the System and the treatment of cultural rights, particularly for promotion of cultural diversity. The comprehensive sense of culture adopted in the National Culture System legislation is analyzed by establishing relations with the concept proposed by Raymond Williams in Cultural Studies. Both perspectives aim at democratically expanding the concept of culture in order to recognize it as a right for all. The expansion of the concept of culture operated by the National Culture System legislation adds more potential to the promotion of cultural diversity and cultural rights as a whole.

Este trabalho visa mapear e analisar a produção e o consumo cultural no bairro do Rio Vermelho, Salvador/BA. Apresenta suas principais características, seus protagonistas, espaços, bens e práticas culturais do local, assim como traça um perfil do público consumidor de cultura no bairro. Os dados fundamentais para a análise foram coletados através de pesquisa bibliográfica, instrumentalizada pela análise documental e referências indicadas por outros autores, mapeamento de espaços culturais, pesquisa de campo constituída de entrevistas com protagonistas e aplicação de questionário junto ao público consumidor. O perfil do bairro reflete um local de entretenimento, boemia, liberdade, acolhimento e pertencimento, com grande e variável oferta de espaços, bens e produtos culturais, privilegiando a apresentação da produção cultural baiana, entretanto necessita de políticas culturais públicas e privadas para sua consolidação e desenvolvimento. Os protagonistas são produtores, gestores públicos, empresários, artistas e agitadores de diversos segmentos, mostram perfil empreendedor, identificam-se com o cenário, não atuam sistematizados e não estabelecem inter-relação entre si e com as políticas públicas federais, estaduais e municipais e vice versa. O público consumidor de bens e produtos é predominantemente jovem, solteiro, com alto nível de escolaridade e independente financeiramente.

Texto completoAnalyzing three unities of SESC-São Paulo (Pinheiros, Pompéia and Itaquera) as a case-study, this study aims to understand whether and how this institution enlarges and diversifies the set of cultural practices of its users. The goal is to outline the characteristics and dynamics involving the so-called mediation process, through which the institution approaches a diversity of cultural products and its potential audiences. The author, therefore, relies on a concept of cultural practice as a mutually-constructed relation: on the one hand, it is influenced by the social and educational conditions of the individual and, on the other hand, by values and policies held by the institution (in this case, SESC-São Paulo). This research intends to collaborate both with sociological field of cultural practices and audiences and with the improvement of public or private organizations engagement in promoting access to culture, formation of audiences and education through cultural activities.

Texto completoLa presente tesis doctoral, dedicada al tratamiento de las palabras culturales en diccionarios bilingües y a la creación de un nuevo modelo de diccionario cultural bilingüe español-chino-español, parte inicialmente de la necesidad del aprendizaje y la enseñanza de la llamada “cultura compartida” y, también, de la perspectiva de la comunicación intercultural entre gentes de distintas culturas. Basándonos en los estudios teóricos sobre la interrelación e interdependencia entre lenguaje y cultura, hemos seguido una serie de metodologías con las que podíamos indagar los problemas más significativos que generaban malentendidos o choques culturales entre hablantes de distintas culturas. En este trabajo, hemos centrado nuestro interés de investigación especialmente en el tratamiento de los llamados culturemas -entendidos como palabras o expresiones específico-culturales- en el ámbito lexicográfico, porque estas palabras no sólo se consideran como “peones de una cultura centenaria” de cada sociedad sino que también son elementos fundamentales que constituyen parte de la macroestructura de los diccionarios de lengua y para la comprensión de estas palabras se requiere no sólo el conocimiento de su valor de lengua, sino también de su valor connotativo en un determinado contexto cultural. Desde esta perspectiva, hemos presentado una propuesta para crear un nuevo modelo de diccionario cultural bilingüe dirigido especialmente a los usuarios chinos que tengan necesidad de conocer el sentido connotativo y cultural de las palabras del español y que quieran subsanar problemas de integración y comunicación, causados por su escasa inmersión cultural en la cultura española. Por tanto, ese futuro diccionario cultural que proponemos en esta investigación se caracteriza por su enfoque orientado al tratamiento de los conocimientos y saberes culturales y, a la vez, a la formación de las habilidades y las actitudes de los aprendices de una lengua extranjera al entrar en contacto con otras culturas.
The present doctoral thesis, dedicated to the treatment of the cultural words in bilingual dictionaries and to the creation of a new model of Spanish-Chinese-Spanish bilingual cultural dictionary, initially stems from the need of learning and education for the call "shared culture", and also from the perspective of intercultural communication among peoples of distinctive cultures. Based on the theoretical studies about the interrelation and interdependence between languages and cultures, we’ve followed a series of methodologies with which we could investigate the most significant problems that generate misunderstandings or cultural shocks among speakers of different cultures. In this paper, we’ve focused our research interest especially on the treatment of so-called culturemes - known as words or expressions as specified in cultural-lexicographical spheres, because these words are not merely considered as "peones of a centenary culture" of each society but also as fundamental elements constituting part of the macro-structure of the language dictionaries. Comprehension of these words requires the knowledge of the value of language as well as the connotative value in a certain cultural context. From this perspective, we’ve presented a proposal to create a new model of bilingual cultural dictionary especially for those Chinese users who need to know connotative sense and the cultural words of Spanish, and want to compensate for the problems of integration and communication, caused by their limited cultural immersion in Spanish culture. Therefore, that future cultural dictionary we proposed in this research is characterized by the treatment of the cultural knowledge and, at the same time, by the development of the abilities and attitudes of learners of a foreign language to interact with other cultures.

Resumo: Lev Vigotski, pensador bielo-russo, produziu seus textos na primeira metade do séc. XX. Interessado nas mais variadas disciplinas, dentre elas a psicologia, buscou superar a dicotomia individual/social, afirmando a constituição social do sujeito. Em outras palavras, as relações sociais nas quais o sujeito está inserido são constitutivas de seu desenvolvimento. Nós nos desenvolvemos a partir de nossa interação com o meio social no qual vivemos e crescemos e, significamos o mundo ao nosso redor, constituídos pela maneira como o grupo ao qual pertencemos o faz. Entretanto, nossas maneiras de significar, de pensar ou de agir constituem-se de forma dialética nos grupos dos quais fazemos parte. Clifford Geertz, antropólogo estadunidense, produziu grande parte de suas reflexões acerca da antropologia na segunda metade do séc. XX. Preocupado com os rumos para onde se direcionava esta disciplina, realizou uma meta-antropologia, questionando o papel do antropólogo enquanto autor das etnografias e também o papel do sujeito-informante. Juntamente com seus questionamentos epistemológicos, Geertz definiu um novo conceito de cultura, mais compatível com a antropologia que realiza após o giro antropológico. Suas preocupações meta-antropológicas impactam fortemente suas etnografias, motivo pelo qual não é possível compreender umas sem as outras. Finalmente, defende que para apreendermos qualquer relação social ou significado atribuído por determinado grupo, devemos realizar um estudo etnográfico que busque como resultado a descrição densa, pois somente a partir dela somos capazes de compreender as teias de significados nas quais os sujeitos estão imersos. Apesar do momento histórico distinto, das diferentes disciplinas e do objeto diverso, ambos os autores buscam compreender a importância e o papel da cultura na constituição do sujeito e na sua forma de tecer e ler as teias de significados nas quais está imerso
Abstract: Lev Vigotski, the Soviet Belarusian thinker, penned his texts in the first half of the 20th century. Interested in various disciplines, among which psychology, he sought to overcome the individual/social dichotomy, affirming the social constitution of the subject. In other words, social relationships in which subjects are inserted are constitutive of their development. We develop based on our interaction with the social environment in which we live and grow, and we give meaning to the world around us, according to the way the group we belong to does. However, our ways of signifying, thinking or acting are constituted in a dialectic way in the groups of which we are part. Clifford Geertz, in turn, an American anthropologist, produced much of his reflections on anthropology in the second half of the 20th century. Concerned with the directions in which the discipline was headed, he delved into meta-anthropology, questioning the role of the anthropologist as author of ethnographies and also as subject-informant. Along with its epistemological questions, Geertz defined a new concept of culture, which is more compatible with the kind of anthropology he engages in after the anthropological turn. His meta-anthropological concerns heavily impact his ethnographies, reason why one cannot understand one without recourse to the others. Finally, he argues that to apprehend any social relationship or meaning assigned by a particular group, we must conduct ethnographic studies whose goal is to attain thick description, because only a description of such kind is able to provide an understanding of the web of meanings in which the subjects are immersed. Despite the distinct historical moment, the different disciplines and objects of study, both authors seek to understand the importance and the role of culture in the constitution of the subject and his way of weaving and reading the web of meanings in which it is immersed

Texto completoThis dissertation seeks to understand how local cultural life is represented in Cultura, Zero Hora’s weekly supplement, considering that journalism can establish values, reinforce consensus and register tendencies of a certain time, and also that supplements are a part of the newspaper that escape of the daily logic, supposedly concentrating the most important facts of the field. In order to reach the goals proposed by this research, Content Analysis (CA) was used with a corpus of the 52 editions of the supplement published in 2010, totalizing 422 texts. The intention was to identify news values, references of time and space, type of texts, subjects and authors; indicate values the supplement establishes to define what means to be cultured; and to catch a glimpse of the intended map of the cultural system. An in-depth interview was made with the current editor of the supplement, Luiz Antônio Araujo, in order to know better its production context. The results indicated the prevalence of present time; notoriety and proximity among the news values; of opinative texts among genres; of literature and books among themes, followed by music and history; and university professors, cultural agents and journalists among the recurrent authors. In the map of cultural life proposed by Cultura are valued current and close to the reader subjects and discussions, seeking to promote and identification between newspaper and its audience. An essential aspect of its coverage is the prestige the supplement built when reiterates the field’s belief in certain notorious agents. Even though it has presented a predominance of international subjects, the supplement follows the editorial line of Zero Hora when considers local perspective as its coverage guide, once the major part of the authors is from RS. The supplement uses a culture concept that privileges subjects related to the traditional artistic expressions, emphasizing its classic versions, in the same time as expands its scope accepting others themes. The supplement follows the consumption’s logic, abundant in a market of continuous flow, relating it to the reader’s intellectual improvement and the distinction that can be reached through it. In Cultura, journalism works also as a mediator between public and the cultural system, approaching reader and specialized fields. In this process acts the central figure of the editor. When he judges and prioritizes subjects and discussions, defines what the supplement will leave for history. It was highlighted consecrated instances as the legitimized knowledge, criticism, disclosure and consumption, creation and specialized agents.

A necessidade de organizar e difundir dados culturais torna-se cada vez mais urgente no Brasil. Instituições públicas e privadas vêm se apropriando das Novas Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação/NTICs no intuito de organizar seus dados. Reconhecer mapeamentos culturais como subsídio para identificação, proteção e valorização de bens culturais, assim como referencial para a organização de dados culturais, é a proposta central deste trabalho. Neste contexto, consideramos avanços e marcos legais da cultura, como o Plano Nacional da Cultura/PNC/MinC e o Sistema Nacional de Informações e Indicadores Culturais/SNIIC/MinC, inerentes à organização desses dados no país, em especial, voltados para municípios com até vinte mil habitantes. Esta dissertação está estruturada em quatro capítulos. No primeiro capítulo, trabalhamos com as noções de cultura, políticas e mapeamentos culturais; no segundo, destacamos o mapeamento cultural como instrumento para elaboração de políticas culturais; no terceiro, apresentamos procedimentos propostos e experimentados, além de desafios e limitações enfrentados no decorrer da pesquisa e registro de dados; e no quarto e último capítulo, destacamos um registro ilustrativo do mapeamento cultural realizado em Serrolândia/BA. Por fim, nas considerações finais, refletimos sobre a utilização desses mapeamentos, apresentamos procedimentos e ações que podem fortalecer o protagonismo e a participação de diversos atores nos processos socioculturais e políticos, a partir de suas vivências e experiências, contribuindo assim com o planejamento, a elaboração e execução de políticas culturais atentas ao desenvolvimento dos municípios brasileiros, principalmente aqueles distantes dos centros urbanos.Palavras-chave: cultura; políticas culturais; mapeamentos culturais; informações e indicadores culturais.

Equipamento cultural designa organizações culturais das mais diversas tipologias como teatros, cinemas, bibliotecas, galerias, museus e espaços polivalentes. Essenciais na dinamização dos territórios com os quais se relacionam, os equipamentos culturais são pontos de encontro entre a produção artística, o público e a cidade. Todavia, as práticas de gestão dessas organizações se traduzem em muitos desafios territoriais e identitários para seus gestores. O objetivo desta pesquisa é propor estratégias que estimulem seus gestores a considerar plenamente a identidade territorial nos seus processos de gestão, estabelecendo uma correlação entre as dimensões gerenciais da organização (cultura, imagem e visão) e os aspectos territoriais em prol de uma maior sinergia entre identidade organizacional e territorial. O método de pesquisa adotado foi a pesquisa-ação, realizada com um grupo de equipamentos culturais de Salvador e envolvendo também organizações culturais colombianas. Trata-se de uma contribuição de caráter técnicoprofissional voltada a gestores culturais, administradores e gestores sociais. O processo de territorialização da gestão de equipamentos culturais se apresenta como uma possibilidade de articular desenvolvimento cultural e desenvolvimento territorial, destacando o papel das organizações culturais num cenário mais amplo de atuação social.
Cultural facility designates cultural organizations of various types such as theaters, cinemas, libraries, galleries, museums and multipurpose spaces. Essential to activate the territories in which they operate, the cultural facilities are meeting points between the artistic production, the public and the city. However, managing these organizations has many territorial and identity challenges. The purpose of this article is to discuss the role of territorial identity in cultural facilities’ management as a strategy to bring together these organizations and their operating territories, establishing a correlation between managerial dimensions of the organization (culture, image and vision) and territorial aspects in order to establish more synergy between organizational and territorial identity. The research method adopted was action research, conducted with a group of cultural facilities in Salvador, involving also some Colombian cultural organizations. It is a contribution of professional nature elaborated for executives, cultural and social managers. The process represents an opportunity to articulate cultural and territorial development, highlighting the role of cultural organizations in a broader social context

The phenomenon of hybridization has been studied across multiple fields of knowledge as the Economy, the Social Sciences, the Political Sciences and the Cultural Studies. Regarding the field of Cultural Studies, hybridism and hybridizations have been broadly utilized to address cultures and cultural encounters. The field of Organizational Studies, however, still investigates hybridism and hybridizations in a superficial way. The objective of this research was to analyze hybridization as an organizational and cultural phenomenon. A case study was conducted to investigate the integration process of a business school, after it’s acquisition, to an university, both in Brazil. The focus of this research was on the origins of hybridization, on which organizational and cultural dimension it occurred, the dynamics it revealed and the impacts it had on organizational and cultural analysis. The case study conducted had a qualitative orientation, an exploratory approach and was based on 41 interviews with representatives from both institutions. Preliminary results indicated that: first, both institutions varied along their particular history and during the post-acquisition process from more or less homogeneous forms; second, the hybrid condition seemed to be a steady state, that varied, however, among more conflictive or more agreeable modes of interaction; third, two types of hybridization occurred, the dialectical and the dialogical ones and fourth, the hybrid condition seems to be the possibility to overcome the cultural and organizational dichotomies that emerged in the case.
O fenômeno da hibridização tem sido estudado em diversos campos do conhecimento, tais como a Economia, as Ciências Sociais, as Ciências Políticas e os Estudos Culturais. No campo dos Estudos Culturais, o hibridismo e a hibridização têm sido utilizados para analisar as culturas e as interações culturais. No campo dos Estudos Organizacionais, as pesquisas sobre hibridismo e hibridização tratam o tema de maneira ainda superficial. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a hibridização como fenômeno organizacional e cultural. Foi realizado um estudo de caso sobre o processo de integração pós-aquisição de uma escola de negócios a uma universidade, ambas no Brasil. Este estudo procurou compreender a origem da hibridização, as dimensões organizacionais e culturais nas quais a ela se manifestou, as dinâmicas que gerou, e os impactos para as análises organizacionais e culturais e para a prática gerencial. O estudo de caso conduzido teve caráter qualitativo e exploratório, e se fundamentou em 41 entrevistas com integrantes de ambas as instituições. Os resultados mostraram que: primeiro, as instituições estudadas assumiram formas organizacionais e culturais que variaram entre mais ou menos homogêneas ao longo de suas histórias e durante o processo de integração; segundo, que a condição híbrida pareceu ser um estado (organizacional e cultural) constante que, no entanto, variou de formas mais conflituosas a mais amigáveis no decorrer da interação; terceiro, que ocorreram dois tipos de hibridização, a dialética e a dialógica; e quarto, que a condição híbrida parece ser a possibilidade de superação das dicotomias que surgem.

O estudo ora apresentado resulta de uma pesquisa que teve como propósito analisar as Políticas Culturais na década de 1995-2005, no estado de Minas Gerais, a partir das políticas públicas de preservação do patrimônio cultural, em especial, aquelas voltadas para os conjuntos documentais custodiados pelas instituições arquivísticas. A hipótese central do tema proposto é de que, apesar de os Arquivos públicos contarem com estruturas de apoio jurídico-financeiro, estas entidades serviram exclusivamente para a adequação deste equipamento cultural (no caso, os Arquivos) às novas exigências do mercado cultural, especialmente regulado pelas Leis de Incentivo à Cultura, não se prestando, portanto, a impulsionar novos espaços de interlocução entre o Estado e a Sociedade Civil. Contudo, facultaram em alguma medida o “acesso à cultura e à informação arquivística a públicos pouco familiarizados” com o universo dos arquivos. Partimos do pressuposto de que um aumento da visibilidade dos Arquivos configurou-se, sobretudo em razão das ações previstas no novo ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, a partir da Constituição de 1988, que “garantiu ao cidadão o direito constitucional de acesso à informação, assegurando tal prática como dever do Estado; a publicidade de suas ações, caracterizando um processo de transparência administrativa e; ao considerar os Arquivos como importante suporte da memória”. É também foco de investigação nesta pesquisa compreender os limites e a efetiva participação da sociedade civil, qualificada aqui como Associações Culturais e Sociedade de Amigos do Arquivo, uma vez que essas entidades se prestam como estruturas de apoio à gestão das instituições culturais, especialmente no que se refere à parceria entre estas entidades e os Arquivos Públicos, que se multiplicando a partir da década de 1990, promoveram certa dinamização na ação cultural dessas instituições.
The actual study is the result of a research which aims at analyzing the Cultural Politics of the last decade of the twentieth Century, more precisely 1995-2005 in Minas Gerais State focusing the Public Politics for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, espacially those related to the collection of documents preserved in archival institutions. The main hypothesis is that although Public Archives count with juridical-financial support those entities have served exclusively for its adapting to the new demanding of the cultural market. That market is regulated, in special by the “Laws of Cultural Support” and therefore they do not serve as a stimulator to new interlocution between the State and the Civil Society. Nevertheless those laws allow in some measure the access to culture and archival information to publics that are not very familiarized with the archival universe. Our thesis is that an increase in the visibility of the Archives was the result of the actions previewed in the new Brazilian Juridical Ordinances starting on the 1988 Constitution. It has guaranteed to the Citizens the Constitutional Right of access to information assuring this practice as a duty of the State; as well as the publicity of its actions, administrative transparency and; on considering the Archives as an important support of memory. It is also an investigation focus of this research to understand the limits and the effective participation of Civil Society, characterized here as Cultural Associations and the Society of Friends of the Archives, as far as those entities work as structures of support in the management of Cultural Institutions. In particular considering them in reference to the partnership between those entities and the Archives. Its multiplying since the decade of 1990 have promoted certain dynamism in those institutions.

No final do ano de 2013, passa a vigorar no Brasil a lei do vale cultura, que garante um benefício mensal para trabalhadores que ganham até cinco salários mínimos. Esse vale é destinado, inicialmente, às classes populares, assumindo-se que esses indivíduos não participam ativamente do mercado de produtos culturais. Assim, tendo a teoria de Bourdieu (1979) como alicerce e a lei como o motivador das indagações, este trabalho buscou compreender como as classes populares se relacionam com o gosto legítimo, ou seja, compreender como esses indivíduos se apropriam daquilo que é imposto como cultura válida pela elite. A partir de uma abordagem interpretativista e da combinação de múltiplas técnicas qualitativas de coleta de dados através de entrevistas em profundidade, observação participante, entrevista com imagens e design thinking, buscou-se a resposta ao objetivo do trabalho. Pode-se verificar que os jovens das classes populares são bastante heterogêneos em relação aos seus gostos. Assim, a partir da heterogeneidade e das semelhanças, eles estabelecem pontes ou muros com os demais. No campo foi possível perceber que os adolescentes se subdividem em três grupos de práticas de consumo: os locais, os globais e os outliers. Cada um desses grupos possui produtos culturais que os caracterizam. Além disso, a cultura consumida pelas classes populares é aquela que está de fácil acesso, ou seja, a cultura de massa. Devido à heterogeneidade dos indivíduos das classes populares e singularidades em relação ao consumo de produtos culturais, o governo deve levar em conta as características dos cidadãos das classes populares para que a promoção de políticas públicas associada ao consumo cultural tenha o efeito desejado de diminuição das desigualdades.
At the end of the year 2013 goes into effect in Brazil the “culture voucher” law, which guarantees a monthly benefit for workers earning less than five minimum wages. This voucher is initially destined to people in popular classes, assuming that they do not actively participate in cultural events. Thus, taking the theory of Bourdieu (1979) as the basis and the law as the motivator of questions, this study sought to understand how the popular classes relate to the legitimate taste, i.e. to comprehend how these people accept what is imposed as genuine culture by the elite. From an interpretive approach and a combination of multiple qualitative techniques to collect data through in-depth interviews, as well as a participant observation and interviews with images and design thinking, we sought to answer the study's objective. It is possible to observe that young people from lower classes are quite heterogeneous in their tastes. Thus, from the heterogeneity and the similarities they establish bridges or walls with others. In the field it was revealed that teenagers are subdivided into three groups of consumption practices: local, global and outliers. Each of these groups has cultural products which characterize them. Moreover, the culture consumed by the popular classes is one that is easily accessible, i.e. mass culture. Due to the heterogeneity of individuals in this class and the singularities of cultural products consumption, the government should take into account the characteristics of the popular classes’ citizens so the promotion of public policies associated to the cultural consumption has the intended effect in the decrease of inequalities.

Esta Dissertação investiga a Gestão Cultural, suas principais especificidades, dimensões, características e complexidades, bem como a construção das bases teóricas dos processos de gestão no âmbito da Cultura. Discute a definição de Gestão Cultural referenciada ao contexto brasileiro, apresentada por estudiosos da área. Seu objetivo consiste em identificar, classificar e sistematizar a produção acadêmica sobre a Gestão Cultural, publicada nos Anais dos Encontros Multidisciplinares em Cultura (ENECULT). Realiza um estudo bibliométrico com a apresentação e a análise dos resultados quantitativos e qualitativos referentes à interpretação dos trabalhos publicados no período entre 2005 a 2014. Buscou aprofundar o entendimento destes pesquisadores sobre a definição da Gestão Cultural. As informações obtidas pela pesquisa são confrontadas com os conceitos extraídos da Literatura pertinente. Dada a abrangência e a complexidade da matéria, a argumentação apresentada é de caráter sucinto. Apontam-se algumas ideias conclusivas e sugestões para futuras pesquisas.
Esta Tesis investiga la gestión cultural, sus principales características, dimensiones, especificaciones y complejidades, así como la construcción de las bases teóricas de los procesos de gestión dentro de la cultura. Además, discute la definición de Gestión Cultural relacionada al contexto brasileño, presentada por los investigadores en la materia. Su objetivo es identificar, clasificar y sistematizar la investigación académica sobre la Gestión Cultural publicada en las actas del Encuentro Multidisciplinar de Cultura (ENECULT). Se llevó a cabo un estudio bibliográfico de la presentación y un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de los resultados con respecto a la interpretación de los estudios publicados entre 2005 y 2014. Se buscó profundizar el entendimiento de estos investigadores con respecto a la definición de la Gestión Cultural. La información obtenida de la investigación se contrasta con los conceptos extraídos de la literatura. Dado el alcance y la complejidad del tema en estudio, los argumentos presentados son de carácter suscinto. Se muestran las conclusiones obtenidas así como sugerencias para futuras investigaciones.
This dissertation investigates the cultural management, its main characteristics, dimensions, specifications and complexities as well as the construction of the theoretical bases of management processes within the culture. Discusses the Cultural Management definition referenced to the Brazilian context presented by scholars in the field. Its overall objective is to identify, classify and systematize the academic research on cultural management published in the Proceedings of the Multidisciplinary Meeting on Culture (ENECULT). Carried out a bibliometric study of the presentation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative results relating to the interpretation of studies published since 2005 to 2014. We attempted to researchers through the deepening understanding of the cultural management setting enabling detailed analyzes to light the peculiarities of each. Information obtained by the research are faced with the extracted concepts of the relevant literature. Given the scope and complexity of the matter, the arguments are succinctly character. They point to some conclusive ideas and suggestions for future research.
