Resumen
Rapid changes in highly competitive economic environments have created the need for sound financial management in organisations. In order to source sufficient numbers of skilled financial managers, specialised career guidance should be high on the agenda of educational and labour policy makers. While the chartered management accountant (CMA) enjoys international status, not many studies have been conducted to measure South African students’ and accounting teachers’ awareness of the CMA designation. This article reports on the results of first-year accounting students’ perceptions of a career in management accounting as well as on the career guidance they received on how to become a CMA. It also reports on accounting teachers’ awareness of the management accounting designation. This study found that first-year accounting students and accounting teachers do not possess sufficient knowledge of the career opportunities in the management accounting field and of the route to follow on how to become a CMA. Recommendations are made for tertiary institutions and professional bodies to alleviate this information gap by distributing brochures and posters to accounting and career guidance teachers and by providing information sessions to them as well as to first-year accounting students on career opportunities in the management accounting field.

Resumen
This study aimed to design the competencies of Teachers in Charge of the Vocational High School Credit System and to calculate their educational needs, utilizing The Locus for Focus Model for analysis. The research questions set for this study were as follows: First, what are the competencies of Teachers in Charge of the Vocational High School Credit System? Second, what is the educational need for each competency of these operators? Third, what are the priorities of these educational needs? The specific research results are as follows: Firstly, based on the literature review, a total of 31 competencies in 5 areas were identified for Teachers in Charge of the Vocational High School Credit System, which were finally reviewed through expert FGI. Notably, competencies in the curriculum organization and operation area, such as 'Ability to Organize School Curriculum Planning Meetings' and 'Ability to Organize Vocational High School Credit System Curriculum Operation Meetings', were emphasized as crucial. Secondly, across all areas, teachers' current performance levels were found to be lower than the importance of these competencies, with high educational needs identified. Particularly, the 'Introduction Environment Creation' and 'Curriculum Organization' areas showed the highest educational needs. Thirdly, based on the LF model, a total of 10 competencies were identified as top priority for Teachers in Charge of the Vocational High School Credit System, especially in the areas of 'Introduction Environment Creation', 'Curriculum Organization', and 'Career and Life Guidance'. Based on these findings, the recommendations are as follows: Firstly, stepwise training programs should be developed based on the identified competencies and priorities to enhance the capabilities of these teachers. Secondly, differentiated educational training programs should be designed and provided based on the prioritized competencies. Thirdly, detailed support from the Ministry of Education and local education offices is necessary for the successful establishment of the 2022 revised curriculum and the high school credit system. Fourthly, further research is needed on the competencies related to the credit system for vocational high school teachers, tailored to different types of teachers.

Resumen
This paper proposes a framework for career information management and guidance systems (CIMGS) to support career decision-making by providing relevant career information and recommending suitable training courses based on individuals' characteristics. A survey was conducted to collect user requirements and opinions regarding the difficulties in identifying employees' relevant career information. The findings demonstrated that users' subject knowledge at work and age affects their information-seeking behaviors, thus, the system requirements. Further, we identify three underlying factors affecting individuals' career decisions, i.e., opinions from other individuals; abilities, affections, and career plans; and personalities and family influences. The four factors that influence training decisions are information perceived, physical constraints, affections, and resources.

Resumen
The community in Bali is greatly aided by the credit facilities with the existence of the Village Credit Institution (LPD). The institution is the lifeblood of the village’s economy. Looking through the importance of the LPD’s function, it is necessary to have a special institution having the power of empowering the LPD, so the Village Credit Institution Empowering Agency (LPLPD) is established. This study examines the role of the LPLPD in settling bad credit as well as the procedures for settling the bad credit at the LPD. This issue is examined by the normative legal research method. In empowering the LPD, the LPLPD performs its duties through technical strengthening related to administration and bookkeeping, checking, upgrading, LPD security budget management, LPD supply guarantee budget management, LPD liquidity support budget management, and control of LPD problems. LPLPD also seeks to prevent the risk of bad credit arising in the LPD through coaching that has been planned and scheduled in each district. LPLPD takes preventive or initial preventive action with technical guidance such as administrative guidance, bookkeeping including credit guidance. LPLPD does not participate in direct credit problem solving. On the other hand, these institutions provide solutions to LPD administrators to analyse the problem whether the credit process is due to the fault of the process or because the customer is not able to make payment. If the technical or the credit process that is wrong, it is the responsibility of the manager; however, if the process is correct but the customer causes a problem, the process must go through billing in accordance with the credit agreement. If there is already bad credit, the steps that must be taken are billing, restoration and if these are unhelpful then ultimately an credit guarantee auction is carried out.

In this article, we define the reasons and the conditions of the implementation of a vocational guidance function in companies. Several aspects of the economic and social context are presented : the continuous demands of more qualified jobs, the dislocation of job shapes, the end of ascending mobility due to the freezing of internal labor markets, the necessity but the insufficiency of diplomas, the throwing back into question of the career notion, the strengthening of human resource management which aims to obtain a more important commitment of the workers, the end of the involvement of the compagnies and the development of the competence model. Two alternative ways are proposed for the end of the career notion : professionalisation and vocational guidance. The article proposes a typology of companies that implement a vocational guidance function and concludes on the necessity of taking into account employability conditions.

Resumen
The Australian construction industry is highly reliant on the local labour force and those employed within it undertake a wide variety of roles ranging from labouring to management. In the past 20 years construction has seen record levels of employment; however lack of skilled labour is becoming problematic. Australia, like most industrialised countries, has an ageing population due to falling birth rates, increased life expectancy and the ageing of the large post-World War II ‘baby boom’ generation. Deciding on a career is one of the most fundamental activities in a young person’s life and the role of the school career counsellor is crucial in this process. This research examined secondary school career counsellor’s knowledge of construction, their perceptions of it as a good career choice and how often they directed male and female students to investigate construction as a career. Comparisons using paired t-tests found career counsellors perceived construction to be a better career option for young men, and directed them more frequently than women, to explore construction careers. The findings also indicate that an educative model, where students and counsellors gain firsthand knowledge from people working in the industry, may counter negative gender stereotypes associated with this area of work and encourage more young people, both male and female, to consider a career in the construction industry.

This Financial Planning assistance and training aims to provide knowledge and insight to Darussalam Vocational High School students in financial management. The urgency of this activity is the increasing prevalence of fraudulent investments that require understanding and knowledge of how to manage and plan finances from an early age. The method used in this training focuses on seven stages, namely: determining financial position; set financial goals; make financial planning; simple notes; create a budget; facing credit problems; and make a financial review. Evaluation and assessment use the Pre-Test and Post-Test models with a rating scale from level 1 to level 10. The results of the training show a quantitative increase from an average level 4 to an average level 7. A qualitative increase is an average of 50 %. The limitation of this training lies in the relatively short duration of time. This training and assistance can be further developed to become more complex with a longer duration of time so that the results are more optimal.

Resumen
Most credit card issuers offer their card holders participation in a customer loyalty programme. On 1 July 2007 the IASB issued IFRIC 13 Customer Loyalty Programmes to give specific guidance to suppliers on the accounting treatment of customer loyalty programme transactions. Despite the fact that credit card rewards programmes are specifically included in the scope of this Interpretation, in practice not all credit card rewards programmes currently account for award credits under the revenue deferral model (IFRIC 13). These divergent practices make one question the relevance of the current guidance provided in IFRIC 13 to credit card rewards programmes; otherwise what is the reason behind credit card rewards programmes accounting for these transactions differently? During May 2014 the IASB and the United States Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), published IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers intended to replace six existing Standards and Interpretations, including IFRIC 13. The aim of IFRS 15 is to streamline accounting for revenue across all industries and to correct inconsistencies in existing Standards and practices. Credit card rewards programme respondents raised many queries and uncertainties based on the proposed model but despite these concerns the Boards decided against providing any additional guidance to credit card rewards programmes. They indicated that they leave it up to management

Vocational guidance within the framework of educational activities is an extremely relevant area of work. This activity is regulated by both Federal Laws and regional regulations. In this paper, we analyzed the main methods for the development of career guidance activities. On the example of the Belgorod region, we determined which of these techniques work and what results they give. There are various vocational guidance centers in the region that assist schoolchildren and students in choosing a profession, providing information on the labor market, training and employment opportunities. However, despite the results achieved, there are still a number of challenges and problems that need to be addressed. One of these problems is the lack of information about the labor market in the region for specific professions, which makes it difficult to choose a future profession. The paper shows, taking into account trends in the labor market and the socio-economic situation in the Belgorod region, career guidance activities have great potential for development and improvement.

Resumen
Purpose – This paper aims to improve decision making in credit portfolio management through analytical data-mining methods, which should be used as data availability and data quality of credit portfolios increase due to (semi-)automated credit decisions, improved data warehouses and heightened information needs of portfolio management. Design/methodology/approach – To contribute to this fact, this paper elaborates credit portfolio analysis based on cluster analysis. This statistical method, so far mainly used in other disciplines, is able to determine “hidden” patterns within a data set by examining data similarities. Findings – Based on several real-world credit portfolio data sets provided by a financial institution, the authors find that cluster analysis is a suitable method to determine numerous multivariate contract specifications implying high or, respectively, low profit potential. Research limitations/implications – Nevertheless, cluster analysis is a statistical method with multiple possible settings that have to be adjusted manually. Thus, various different results are possible, and as cluster analysis is an application of unsupervised learning, a validation of the results is hardly possible. Practical implications – By applying this approach in credit portfolio management, companies are able to utilize the information gained when making future credit portfolio decisions and, consequently, increase their profit. Originality/value – The paper at hand provides a unique structured approach on how to perform a multivariate cluster analysis of a credit portfolio by considering risk and return simultaneously. In this context, this procedure serves as a guidance on how to conduct a cluster analysis of a credit portfolio including advices for the settings of the analysis.

Resumen
Credit card rewards programmes are a common phenomenon in the South African market. On 1 July 2007 the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) issued IFRIC 13 Customer Loyalty Programmes to give specific guidance to suppliers on the accounting treatment of customer loyalty programme transactions. Although credit card rewards programmes are specifically included in the scope of this Interpretation, in practice not all credit card rewards programmes currently account for award credits under the revenue deferral model (IFRIC 13). During May 2014 the IASB and the United States Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) published IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers intended to replace six existing Standards and Interpretations, including IFRIC 13. Currently there is uncertainty whether or not a credit card rewards programme transaction falls within the scope of IFRS 15. Despite concerns raised the Boards decided against providing any additional guidance to credit card rewards programmes and indicated that they leave it up to management

Resumen
Purpose This paper aims to analyse the recent changes to the Pillar 2 regulatory-prescribed methodologies to classify and calculate credit concentration risk. Focussing on the Prudential Regulation Authority’s (PRA) methodologies, the paper tests the susceptibility to bias of the Herfindahl–Hirscham Index (HHI). The empirical tests serve to assess the assumption that the regulatory classification of exposures within the geographical concentration is subject to potential misuse that would undermine the PRA’s objective of obtaining risk sensitivity and improved banking competition. Design/methodology/approach Using the credit exposure data from three global banks, the HHI methodology is applied to the portfolio of geographically classified exposures, replicating the regulatory exercise of reporting credit concentration risk under Pillar 2. In doing so, the validity of the aforementioned assumption is tested by simulating the PRA’s Pillar 2 regulatory submission exercise with different scenarios, under which the credit exposures are assigned to different geographical regions. Findings The paper empirically shows that changing the geographical mapping of the Eastern European EU member states can result in a substantial reduction of the Pillar 2 credit concentration risk capital add-on. These empirical findings hold only for the banks with large exposures to Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The paper reports no material impact for the well-diversified credit portfolios of global banks. Originality/value This paper reviews the PRA-prescribed methodologies and the Pillar 2 regulatory guidance for calculating the capital add-on for the single name, sector and geographical credit concentration risk. In doing so, this paper becomes the first to test the assumptions that the regulatory guidance around the geographical breakdown of credit exposures is subject to potential abuse because of the ambiguity of the regulations.

Resumen
In-depth school-enterprise cooperation can promote the transformation of higher vocational colleges’ school-running concept and talent training mode, deepen the teaching reform of higher vocational colleges, and improve the employment rate of higher vocational colleges. In the context of school-enterprise cooperation, general higher vocational schools face huge challenges and opportunities in employment guidance. Under the school-enterprise cooperation model, the internship management of students during the internship process is a joint management behavior between the school and the enterprise, which is of great significance to deepen the school-enterprise cooperation. This paper changes the traditional analysis mode of school-enterprise cooperation in higher vocational education and applies sensitive neural network to the construction of school-enterprise cooperation development model in higher vocational education. On the basis of the sensitivity of Adaline neurons, this paper further gives the definition of the sensitivity of the Madaline network structure, deduces the sensitivity calculation of the Madaline network structure without too many constraints, and constructs an intelligent model. Through experimental research, we know that the school-enterprise cooperative development model of higher vocational education based on sensitive neural network proposed in this paper has good results.

Resumen
Purpose – The purpose of the article is to explain the significance of key features of the SEC’s new rules for credit rating agencies. Those rules include three key items: they prohibit the influence of sales or marketing considerations on criteria development; they include guidance that preserves the ability of ratings to serve as relative rather than absolute measures of credit risk; and they require cross-sector consistency of rating symbols. When they were released the significance of the rules was under-appreciated because of other simultaneous regulatory announcements. Design/methodology/approach – The approach is to consider how effectively the rules address their target issues. In doing so the article explores how the final rules evolved from their original proposed form and from the statutory specifications in the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act. Findings – The new rules should promote the integrity of credit ratings in the future. They should be effective in reducing the influence of sales and marketing considerations on the development of rating criteria. In addition they should enhance rating integrity through superior cross-sector consistency in the meanings of rating symbols while allowing rating agencies to maintain their traditional emphasis on relative risk. Originality/value – The authors are not aware of any similar work assessing the selected provisions of the new SEC rules for credit rating agencies.

Resumen
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to compare, and identify both similarities and differences in, affordances for vocational learning in two contrasting education systems, for construction worker and shop salesperson apprentices, in Swedish contexts. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected through interviews and observations in two research projects, each addressing relevant aspects of one of the focal educational systems. A framework consisting of identified goals, activities and guidance was applied in the analysis. Findings – The results show that the affordances for learning in the examined educational systems are dependent on the learners’ access to, and participation in, workplace activities. A conclusion is that workplace demands override educational goals in both cases. Thus, the affordances for learning related to both individual and educational goals are dependent on the access to guidance during workplace activities. Originality/value – The study highlights constraints between educational goals and workplace affordances in both apprenticeship systems, which largely develop vocational competencies related to specific workplace demands and activities. A presented model regards apprenticeships as vocational and educational training in workplaces is outlined that enable a deeper understanding of the correspondence between individual, educational and workplace goals that forms the type of activity which leads to a learning outcome.

Resumen
Objectives This thesis aims at investigating cases of the course-type curriculum in the vocational high school’s beauty department, which is a course-type model with in the department precisely selected from Vocational High school credit system models, followed by the implementation of the 2022 revised curriculum and the high school credit system, and satisfaction surveys. Methods From October to November 2022, a questionnaire was conducted by a total of 160 third-year students in the vocational high school beauty department in Seoul regarding selection of the course-type specific majors, their satisfaction level towards its curriculum and environment, and their preferred occupations. It was further undertaken by 20 teachers who performed the course-type curriculum. The survey results were then used to perform the frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, One-way ANOVA, t-statistics, Chi-square test and One Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Results The dominant factor upon course-type major selection was personal reason, followed by hair, makeup and skincare reasons, and the hair department students tend to select their majors most precisely. Their satisfaction with the educational environment appeared not to differ by each department, whereas respondents revealed varied level of satisfaction with the course-type curriculum in an order descending of Hair, Makeup and Skincare group. The hair group showed higher interest than others on desire to work in the industry. Teachers’ satisfaction were overall high except for the financial support on curriculum operation. Conclusions Prior to the complete implementation of the high school credit system, the development and coordination of a structured education curriculum have to take place through surveys. We hope that the findings of this study would be applied and assist in implementing and sustaining the course-type curriculum upon full implementation of the credit system. This study suggests follow-up research on comparative cases by different regions and different high school units for further investigating its limitations and management plans.
