Resumen
A 499.8 MHz SOLEIL-type superconducting cavity was simulated and designed for the first time in this paper. The higher-order mode (HOM) properties of the cavity were investigated. Two kinds of coaxial HOM couplers were designed. Using 4 L-type and 4 T-type HOM couplers, the longitudinal impedance was suppressed to 3 kΩ, and the transverse impedance below 30 kΩ/m. The HOM damping requirements of Hefei Advanced Light Facility (HALF) were satisfied. This paper conducts an in-depth study on the radio frequency (RF) design, multipacting optimization, and thermal analysis of these coaxial couplers. Simulation results indicated that under operating acceleration voltage, the optimized couplers does not exhibit multiplicating or thermal breakdown phenomena. The cavity has the potential to reach a higher acceleration gradient.

Resumen
Abstract In order to meet the requirements of the Southern Advanced Photon Source (SAPS), a slot-coupled π-mode 5-cell copper cavity with higher order mode (HOM) damping was proposed and developed. In this study, we present the optimal design of a 5-cell copper cavity and an investigation of HOM impedances. A prototype of 5-cell copper cavity based on this design was manufactured. The RF characteristics of 5-cell copper cavity have been tested. The results show that a flat accelerating electric field is obtained, with a coupling coefficient of 1.7% and a shunt impedance more than 19.5 MΩ/m. To damp these HOMs with high impedance, two inductive HOM couplers and two capacitive HOM couplers were designed. Finally, the impedances of all the HOMs are below the threshold of coupled-bunch instabilities (CBI) for SAPS.

Resumen
Mobile banking (M-bank), a newly introduced technology, can improve women’s access to financial services. This study empirically estimates the effect of a husband’s and wife’s socioeconomic characteristics, relative differences in age and education, and household characteristics on M-bank use in northern Bangladesh, exploring the presence and possible effect of the gender gap between husband and wife. A couple’s relative differences in age or education can function as a proxy to capture the wife’s M-bank use, thereby, her financial responsibilities in the household. The empirical evidence is based on a two-equation probit estimation that predicts the possible determinants of M-bank use by husbands and wives. M-bank use of husbands and wives differed remarkably, with wife to husband ratio of 4:15. Households were categorized into three subgroups: wife user, husband user, and nonuser. Results show that a husband’s level of education, having his own business, and having a migrant family member within the household have a statistically significant positive effect on the likelihood of him using M-bank. On the other hand, a wife with an education level higher than that of her husband’s has a significant positive effect on the likelihood of her using M-bank. A substantial gender gap in M-bank use, favoring husbands, was observed in most couples where the husband has more schooling than the wife and vice versa. The impact of M-bank use must be critically studied, focusing on the couple’s relative status due to the gender gap in educational attainment and positive relative characteristics of couples in patriarchal, Islamic, rural settings in Bangladesh.

Resumen
The CERN SPS 200 MHz traveling-wave (TW) accelerating structures pose an intensity limitation for the planned High Luminosity (HL-) LHC upgrade. Higher-order modes (HOMs) around 630 MHz have been identified as one of the main sources of longitudinal multi-bunch instabilities. Improved mitigation of these HOMs with respect to today’s HOM-damping scheme is therefore an essential part of the LHC injectors upgrade (LIU) project. The basic principles of HOM-couplers in cavities and today’s damping scheme are reviewed. Before illustrating the numerous requirements, an improved damping scheme for the future 33-cell structures must be fulfilled. These are, among others, the mitigation of HOMs situated in the lower part of the structure where there are no access ports for extraction, a sufficient overall damping performance and an acceptable influence on the fundamental accelerating passband (FPB). Different approaches tackling these challenges are investigated and their performance, advantages and pitfalls are evaluated by ACE3P and CST electromagnetic (EM) field solver suites.

Resumen
This method of assessment and treatment of marital problems focuses on the couple's perception of their happy marital experiences and on the interpretation of their current marital problematic status. Each spouse is asked to describe individually his evaluation of his marital status in terms of what he liked in the course of his marital life, what he was less fond of regarding his marital life, and what his opinions are regarding the reasons which might have led him to his actual problematic marital situation. It has been assumed that this method provides relevant information enabling both therapist and couple to construct a meaningful profile of behavioral deficits and assets and the recollection of past happy experiences helps to build new cognitive and emotional expectations. Treatment is behaviorally oriented, enabling a couple to make a connection between their past happy experiences and the desired future outcome. It also helps increase such positive attitudes as communication, availability, functional consensus, marital creativity, and decrease the manipulative attitude. Five couples were accepted for the treatment and a mean of 13 sessions were held in the spring of 1987. One couple dropped out after two sessions. Two follow-up and two posttests (Locke-Wallace) showed good maintenance of therapeutic gains.

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive within 12 months of regular unprotected intercourse for women under 35 years of age and affects approximately 15% of reproductive aged couples [1]. A diagnosis of infertility is often emotionally, physically, and financially devastating and many patients will seek fertility assistance with their obstetrician and gynecologist. While there may be underlying factors contributing to infertility that that require specific treatments (i.e. fibroids requiring myomectomies), there are also many patients that are unaware of how best to optimize conception timing. Counseling patients regarding the science of reproduction and adjusting at home practices may increase their chances for success.

Resumen
Jealousy has traditionally been treated by offering medication, support, or various forms of individual psychotherapy or counselling. However, jealousy is usually a condition which has a profound effect on the sexual partner of the jealous person, and they may actually suffer more from the condition than the person him/herself. While accepting that medication and other individual approaches have their place in the management of jealousy, there seem to be several advantages in seeing the problem from the standpoint of the couple relationship. Firstly, couple therapy reduces the almost inevitable labelling of the jealous person as a psychiatric case. Secondly, one might argue a priori that any changes which take place as a result of two people changing their behaviour are likely to be more stable and long-lasting than if just one person changes. There is another consideration, namely that, since the relationship is bound to be affected by the jealousy, it will need attention regardless of the means used to treat the jealousy itself.

Resumen
A theology of infertility is needed to help couples and the broader ecclesial community understand the theological implications of infertility. Infertility raises questions about human freedom, finitude, embodiment, childlessness, and parenthood. In this article, dominant cultural assumptions surrounding each of these areas when considering reproductive technologies are sketched. Official Roman Catholic teaching on reproductive technologies (Donum Vitae), while rejecting most forms of such technologies, does provide a viable response to the presupposition that reproductive technologies resolve infertility. Given the dominant cultural assumptions and insights from Roman Catholic teaching, this article advocates for several ecclesial changes when considering infertility. Finally, theological resources for developing a theology of infertility are offered. Specifically, insights from Karl Rahner's theology of concupiscence are examined with an eye toward how they provide a framework for rethinking the cultural assumptions about freedom and finitude when considering reproductive technologies.

Resumen
Although anxiety and depression are among the most prevalent mental disorders worldwide, they continue to gain less attention than their physical counterparts in terms of health care provision and population mentalisation. This cross-sectional study explores and compares the national prevalence of depression and anxiety signs/symptoms and well as identifying associated socio-demographic factors among Jordanian and Palestinian fertile couples. Four-hundred and sixty-nine participants were eligible for inclusion and agreed to participate in the study. The mean score for HAM-A and BDI-II were 12.3 ± 8.2 and 15.30 ± 10.0, respectively. According to the grading of HAM-A and BDI-II, the majority of the participants have graded themselves to be mildly anxious (N = 323, 68.9%) and around one third of participants (N = 148, 31.6%) moderately to severe depressed. The suicidal intent was remarkable and of concern where around 18.6% of participants had suicidal thoughts and wishes. There was a significant correlation between both HAM-score and BDI-II score and age [p = 0.01, p = 0.011, respectively], body weight [p = 0.01, p = 0.006, respectively], and total monthly income [p < 0.001, p < 0.001, respectively]. Our findings ought to alert healthcare professionals and other interested parties that there is a high burden of anxiety and depression symptoms among Jordanian and Palestinian couples. To support Jordanian and Palestinian couples’ mental health, healthcare professionals, researchers, and educators favoured to concentrate on creating efficient and culturally relevant education, preventive, and intervention procedures utilising evidence-based guidelines.

Resumen
Purpose Interventions aimed at couples where one partner has dementia are often targeting burden, depression and cognitive function and do not focus on relationship and interpersonal issues. Furthermore, interventions within this population do not seem to have embraced a salutogenic and authentic dyadic approach where both partners’ experiences are considered. To address this gap, a self-management app, DemPower, which was piloted and tested among couples where one partner has dementia living at home, has been developed. This study explores couples‘ everyday experiences of engaging with the DemPower. Design/methodology/approach Semi-structured interviews with couples were analysed using thematic analysis. Findings The findings resulted in the following themes: growth of the relationship; we are not alone; and positive approach. The findings indicated that the experiences of a salutogenic and dyadic intervention can contribute to the feelings of empowerment, satisfaction of couples’ achievements and a sense of support through peers and with the intervention itself. Originality/value The findings of this study indicate that couples where one partner has dementia appreciate interventions that focuses on a salutogenic approach to their everyday life and relationship. The dyadic intervention contributed to feelings of empowerment, satisfaction of couples’ achievements and a sense of support through peers and through the intervention itself. Discussing, inventory and focus on strengths, resources and quality of life can therefore give couples insight in their growth of the relationship and their transitions during the dementia trajectory. Furthermore, this study can serve as an eye opener in health care for the type of support couples need and wishes to receive. This means that care for people with dementia and partners should adopt a more health-promoting approach.

Resumen
AbstractThe ability of indistinguishable particles to interfere with one another is a core principle of quantum mechanics. The interplay of interference and particles exchange statistics1–4 gives rise to the Hong–Ou–Mandel (HOM) effect5, where the bunching of bosons suppresses two-particle coincidences between the output ports of a balanced beamsplitter. Conversely, fermionic anti-bunching can yield up to a twofold enhancement of coincidences compared to the baseline of distinguishable particles. As such, the emergence of dips or peaks in the HOM effect may appear indicative of the particles’ bosonic/fermionic nature. Here, we demonstrate experimentally that the coincidence statistics of boson pairs can be seamlessly tuned from full suppression to enhancement by an appropriate choice of the observation basis. Our photonic setting leverages birefringent couplers6 to introduce differential dissipation in the photons’ polarization. In contrast to previous work7–9, the mechanism underpinning this unusual behaviour does not act on individual phases accumulated by pairs of particles along specific paths, but instead allows them to jointly evade losses as indistinguishable photons are prevented from inhabiting orthogonal modes. Our findings reveal a new approach to harnessing non-Hermitian settings for the manipulation of multi-particle quantum states and as functional elements in quantum simulation.

Resumen
Objectives: The current study examined the mental health of couples living with and without sensory loss; compared the mental health of couples living with hearing, vision, or dual-sensory loss; and investigated the association between spouse support and the mental health of couples living with sensory loss. Method: The study included 513 couples with sensory loss and 1,079 couples without sensory loss. Actor–Partner Interdependence Models were used to examine associations between spouse support and mental health. Results: Controlling for potential covariates, individuals with sensory loss and their spouses were at a greater risk of mental health problems. Sensory loss modality (hearing and/or vision) did not explain any differences. Both actor and partner effects of spouse support on anxiety and depression were found. Discussion: The findings highlight the need to support the mental health of couples living with sensory loss and indicate the importance of considering the intimate relationship in future studies.

Resumen
This article explores joint advance planning for co-caring couples in the community, a group growing in number and need. A health crisis for one, exposes the vulnerability of the other. Lack of planning for this eventuality leaves health and social care struggling to provide an adequate safety net in a short timeframe. This inability to adequately support, can lead to harm to the couple. The authors conducted a formal reflective investigation to discover themes that impacted on their ability to meet the needs of such a couple in their care. The themes were: the need for advanced care planning in co-caring situations; capacity assessed through different lenses; using safeguarding systems appropriately to support questions of capacity; challenges when care is not accepted; and compassion fatigue. These themes were then used to develop an action plan to improve ways of working to reduce risk in these situations.

This research explained the choice of language for Dyak-Madurese couples with interethnic marriage. In this research there are the aims of the research, this research aims to investigate the language choice used by interethnic marriage Dyak-Madurese families and to investigate the factors affecting language choice of interethnic marriage Dyak-Madurese couples. The method of this research was descriptive qualitative research. The researcher selected three families of Dyak-Madurese interethnic marriage as participants to achieve the aim of the research. The data were obtained by observing and interviewing. The results of this research have shown that interethnic marriage families Dyak-Madurese prefer the Indonesia language as their first language and are commonly used in everyday contact at the home domain. This research found that the children of the third family preferred a different language when interacting with their father, he preferred the Madura language, but he also uses the Indonesia language when communicating with his parents. The finding also showed that interethnic marriage Dyak-Madurese families use the Indonesia language in another domain such as neighborhood domain and with friends. The research also found that the children of the first and second families from interethnic marriage families were unable to speak the ethnic language, it has caused the younger children not to be taught the ethnic language. The children of the third family can speak Madura language because the father taught him the Madura language. In data there are three factors affecting language choice in interethnic marriage Dyak-Madurese couples, they are the participant, social context, the function of the language. Based on the research the interethnic marriage Dyak-Madurese families show a negative attitude toward their ethnic language, but the father of the third family has a positive attitude.

Resumen
Abstract: While John Milton was disavowing "the jingling sound of like endings," John Dryden was cementing a vogue for writing rhymed couplets that would dominate the English literary landscape for the next 150 years. Seeking rhyme's lost links to pleasure and sometimes to transgression, this essay looks closely at Dryden's early considerations of couplet rhyme in his Essay of Dramatick Poesie (1668) and related critical writings contemporaneous with Paradise Lost (1667), as well as in a few examples of his early couplet practice in his plays and prologues from this period. My claim is that Dryden's schooling in dramatic couplets at the start of his career shaped his broader thinking about rhyme, opening him to rhyme's residual orality and the dissident energy always nascent in rhyme's sounds. His couplets and criticism from the mid 1660s thus alert us to how rhyme's field of play, perhaps especially in closed forms like the seventeenth-century couplet, tends to be mischievously subversive of any single authority.

Resumen
This article tries to construct an ethical framework to address the issue of infertility through a creative use of Thomas Aquinas’ thought. Involuntary childlessness is one of the forgotten issues among Christian communities in West and Central Africa. Starting with the scientific definition of infertility, the article shows the gender differences and biases in the perception of childlessness in that region. Although infertility equally affects men and women, the latter, most of the time, are blamed for it. Although Scripture contains some ambivalent elements concerning infertility, on the whole it offers valuable insights by presenting childlessness as a type of life also blessed by God. Likewise, the language of the church since Vatican II has done away with the hierarchical view of the ends of marriage (or the idea that procreation is the primary goal of marriage over and against the unity of the spouses). Aquinas teaches us about the true nature of marriage and the value of childlessness. In addition, Aquinas’ understanding of love helps articulate areas that could guide infertile individuals and childless couples, on the one hand, and Christian communities, on the other hand, who have to deal with childless members.

Resumen
In the current study, the moderating effects of observed negative and positive affects on the association between intimate partner violence (IPV, physical aggression) and relationship satisfaction were examined over a 5-year period. Multiwave data were obtained from a sample of young adult men at risk for delinquency and their women partners (n = 121 couples; ages 21–26 years). The trajectory of each partner’s relationship satisfaction and the effects of dyadic IPV and affect were tested using HLM analyses and a two-level (within-couple and between-couple) dyadic growth model. Average levels of dyadic positive affect were associated with relationship satisfaction for both men and women. For men, increases in couples’ positive affect over time were linked to increases in relationship satisfaction, and increases in couples’ externalizing negative affect were linked to decreases in satisfaction. For women, higher levels of couples’ IPV predicted lower levels of satisfaction. Couples’ internalizing negative affect amplified the effects of IPV on satisfaction over time. Increases in IPV were associated with declines in satisfaction for couples with high levels of internalizing negative affect. Conversely, average levels of externalizing negative affect did not amplify the association between IPV and relationship satisfaction. In fact, the adverse influence of IPV on relationship satisfaction was greater for couples who displayed low levels of externalizing negative affect. Because of the inverse association between externalizing negative affect and relationship satisfaction, these findings were interpreted to suggest that the salience of IPV was greater in couples whose relationship satisfaction was not already impaired by high levels of negative affect.

Resumen
Adoption of children is one of the noble ways for couples who have not been blessed with children. The presence of an adopted child is expected to fill the lonely days of husband and wife, even sometimes many couples make their adopted children as a "lure" so that later they will have their own child. In Islamic law, in principle, an adopted child is not prohibited as long as it involves nurturing, educating and caring for him/her, however, the adopted child is not considered to become the heir or obtain inheritance if it is connected or associated with his/her legal position in Islamic law. Child is a person who must be protected from everything that can make it difficult for him/her, to be able to provide a good deed done by his/her parents, and with Hadhanah (the right to custody of a child under Sharia Law), it is very important that this Hadhanah is handed over to the mother because it is a job that requires a lot of responsibility and persistence in doing so.

Resumen
Supportive couple relationships are associated with reduced risk of chronic illness development, such as cardiovascular disease, as well as improved secondary prevention. Healing Hearts Together (HHT) is an 8-week couples-based intervention designed to improve relationship quality, mental health, quality of life, and cardiovascular health among couples in which one partner has experienced a cardiac event. A randomized controlled trial began in October 2019 to test the efficacy of the in-person, group-based HHT program as compared to usual care. In March of 2020, all recruitment, assessments, and interventions halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guided by optimal virtual care principles, as well as by Hom and colleagues’ four-stage framework—consultation, adaptation, pilot-testing, and test launch—this paper is a tutorial for the step-by-step transition planning and implementation of a clinical research intervention from an in-person to a web-based format, using the HHT program as an example. Clinical and research considerations are reviewed, including (1) privacy, (2) therapeutic aspects of the intervention, (3) group cohesion, (4) research ethics, (5) participant recruitment, (6) assessment measures, (7) data collection, and (8) data analyses. This tutorial can assist clinical researchers in transitioning their research programs to a web-based format during the pandemic and beyond.

Resumen
Although palliative care nurses are identified as key players in supporting couples during advanced illness, there is a lack of evidence about their knowledge and experiences with this particular role. The aim of the study was to explore palliative care nurses’ attitudes, roles, and experiences in addressing relationship functioning of couples in daily practice. A qualitative study was conducted using in-depth interviews, observational research, and peer debriefing groups with palliative care nurses in Flanders, Belgium. Nurses support relationship functioning by creating a couple-positive care environment, by being present/acknowledging feelings, and by rectifying imbalances between couples. They do so in a proactive way, backed up by team support. Nurses hesitate toward explicitly unraveling and intervening in relationship problems, in favor of providing comfort or offering a strengths-based approach. The findings offer an urgent call to enhance the educational programs for palliative care nurses by integrating the theories and practice frameworks that guide relational assessment and intervention, which are being used in family nursing.

Resumen
Marbled cats (Pardofelis marmorata; MC) and flat-headed cats (Prionailurus planiceps; FC), the endangered, small wild cats of southeast Asia, are currently at risk of becoming extinct in Thailand. Producing embryos by inter-generic somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) is a way to preserve their genetics, as well as to understand their embryo chronology. The aim of the study was to investigate the development of MC and FC embryos produced from domestic cat (DC) and rabbit (RB) oocytes by SCNT. Intra-species cloned DC served as control. The MC-, FC-, DC-DC, and FC-RB (donor fibroblast cell–recipient oocyte) couplets were prepared as previously described (Thongphakdee et al. 2006 Reprod. Dom. Anim. 41, 219–226), but MC-, FC-, and DC-DC couplets were fused by inducing 3 direct current pulses of 2.4 kV cm-1, for 50 s, and subsequently activated in synthetic oviduct fluid (SOF) medium, supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), 10 g mL-1 cycloheximide, and 5 g mL-1 cytochalasin B, for 4 h. Activated couplets were cultured in SOF medium supplemented with 5% FBS, at 38.5C, under 5% CO2 in air, for 5–7 days. Differences in the percentages of fusion and embryo development to a particular stage between species were determined by chi-square analysis. The fusion efficiency of DC-DC couplets (38%; 36/94) was significantly lower than those of MC-DC (74%; 60/81), FC-DC (79%; 60/76), and FC-RB (78%; 47/60) couplets (P < 0.05). No differences in the cleavage rates of MC-DC, FC-DC, FC-RB, and DC-DC fused couplets were found (93%, 97%, 87%, and 89%, respectively). The FC-DC couplets yielded a greater percentage of morulae (53%) than did MC-DC (23%), FC-RB (25.5%), and DC-DC (11%) couplets (P < 0.05). However, the number of couplets that achieved blastocyst expansion did not significantly differ (MC-DC: 5%, FC-DC: 8.3%, FC-RB: 8.5%, and DC-DC: 8.5%). These results demonstrate that MC and FC embryos are successfully produced with reasonable blastocyst formation rates by inter-generic SCNT. This study was supported by the Zoological Park Organization under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the King, Reproductive Biotechnology Research Unit, Chulalongkorn University, and Royal Golden Jubilee, PhD program of Thailand Research Fund.

Resumen
Abstract Health benefits of marriage may stem in part from spouses discouraging unhealthy behavior and encouraging healthy practices. Although studies show spousal effects on health behaviors, few have assessed whether spousal effects vary by the quality of the marital relationship. Spouses in low-quality marriages may be less likely to engage in joint activities that promote health (e.g., shared exercise), make fewer attempts at monitoring their spouse’s health behaviors, and be less successful in their attempts to intervene. Those in unhappy relationships may also use unhealthy behaviors as maladaptive coping strategies to deal with marital stress. We use dyadic data from couples over age 50 in the 2006 and 2008 waves of the Health and Retirement Study (HRS) to examine how both spouses’ ratings of positive and negative dimensions of marital quality are associated with their own and their spouses’ exercise and smoking (n=3,498 couples). Using HLM software, we estimated actor-partner interdependence models (APIM). Results indicate that both own and husbands’ ratings of positive marital quality are significantly associated with wives’ odds of smoking. Own perceptions of negative marital quality and wives’ perceptions of both positive and negative marital quality are associated with husbands’ odds of smoking. For wives, neither own nor spousal marital quality is significantly related to exercise. For husbands, however, wives’ higher positive marital quality and lower negative marital quality are associated with increased exercise. Strategies to improve marital quality may promote healthy behaviors among older adults, particularly for husbands.

Resumen
Multi-purpose reservoirs often have to be managed according to conflicting objectives, which requires efficient tools for trading-off the objectives. This paper proposes a multi-objective simulation-optimisation approach that couples off-line rule curve optimisation with on-line real-time optimisation. First, the simulation-optimisation framework is applied for optimising reservoir operating rules. Secondly, real-time and forecast information is used for on-line optimisation that focuses on short-term goals, such as flood control or hydropower generation, without compromising the deviation of the long-term objectives from the optimised rule curves. The method is illustrated for optimisation of the Hoa Binh reservoir in Vietnam. The approach is proven efficient to trade-off conflicting objectives. Selected by a Pareto optimisation method, the preferred optimum is able to mitigate the floods in the downstream part of the Red River, and at the same time to increase hydropower generation and to save water for the dry season. The real-time optimisation procedure further improves the efficiency of the reservoir operation and enhances the flexibility for the decision-making. Finally, the quality of the forecast is addressed. The results illustrate the importance of a sufficient forecast lead time to start pre-releasing water in flood situations.

Resumen
The background to this research is that the book 'Uqūd al-Lujain by Syaikh Nawawi al-Bantani has invited debate and is considered irrelevant in the millennial era. This research explores the aspects of human rights in the book. It is qualitative research uses normative legal approach or library research with contect analysis which aims to understand human rights in ‘Uqūd al-Lujain profoundly. The results reveal that the description of the relationship between a husband and wife in ‘Uqūd al-Lujain by Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani is a relationship that firmly emphasizes the importance of knowing the rights and obligations between husband and wife in the view of religious texts, includes several stories and quotes some opinions of the scholars. Among the most important standards of general freedom are correspondence or equality and non-segregation or non-discrimination. Regarding couples, 'Uqūd al-Lujain has received many claims because it is considered to provide an inaccurate understanding of human rights standards, especially towards women. However, basically Sheikh Nawawi's focus is to understand the etiquette of husband and wife according to his reading of religious texts based on the Qur’an and hadith. This is because his inclination towards aspects of Sufism is very strong. Thoughts that can be categorized as traditional and Sufistic have colored the writing of this book, and of course this was in accordance with the spirit of the times (zeitgeist) of that time.

Resumen
Objective: To estimate proportions of married couples aged 30 to 59 years who face simultaneous demands from elderly parents and children in China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, and the effects on couples’ life and marital satisfaction. Method: Using data from the 2006 East Asian Social Survey, proportions of sandwiched couples were estimated using three definitions: co-residence, co-residence or nearby residence, and co-residence or frequent provision of financial/physical assistance. Logistic regression models were used to assess the effects on life and marital satisfaction. Results: Three-generational co-residence is more common in Taiwan and Japan (24.3% and 21.4%), whereas co-residence or provision for both generations is higher in Taiwan and Korea (53.7% and 44.5%). The strain of being sandwiched is associated with lower life and marital satisfaction only among women. Discussion: Intergenerational transfers of care play a major role in elderly support in East Asia but take a toll on the well-being of married women.

Resumen
The problem in this analysis is the motivator character from the story that he can change a lot of people around him. This motivator has brought the most of characters in the novel to become the better person. Not only have the people who love and respect him, but he also changed the people that hate him through his act of persuasion. In this study, the researcher applies the psychological analysis and genetic structuralism, it has a role to explain literary work as structure base on the elements that formed them, which are society and social life. The motivator has changed his character because the kindness of Bishop Myriel, Fantine has changed her character because the evil of Thénardier couples. Meanwhile, the other three characters, Javert, Cosette, and Marius, all of them have changed because the actions of Motivator through the act of persuasion. There are a lot of way to persuade others, and Motivators’ act of persuasion proves to be successful on this novel.

Resumen
Objective: The present study aimed to clarify the circumstances under which activity restriction (AR) is associated with depressive symptoms among patients with osteoarthritis (OA) and their spouses. Method: A total of 220 older adults with OA and their caregiving spouses participated in the study. The actor–partner interdependence model (APIM) was used to examine the associations between AR stemming from patients’ OA and the depressive symptoms of patients and spouses. The potential moderating role of marital satisfaction also was examined. Results: After accounting for pain severity, health, and life stress of both patients with OA and spouses, higher AR was associated with more depressive symptoms for both patients and spouses. In regard to partner effects, patients whose spouse had higher AR reported more depressive symptoms. In addition, the association of spouses’ and patients’ AR and their own depressive symptoms was moderated by their marital satisfaction. For both patients and spouses, the associations between their own AR and depressive symptoms were weaker for those with higher levels of marital satisfaction compared with those with lower levels of marital satisfaction. Discussion: This pattern of findings highlights the dyadic implications of AR and the vital role of marital satisfaction in the context of chronic illness.

The ghazals of Hafez-e Shirazi are famous for their exceptionally beautiful imagery. Within the scope of this study, the discussed image of “master magi” is derived not from Islam, but from Zoroastrianism, the religion that dominated Iran before Islam. Although Hafez was not the only poet to use this image, his deep respect for it led some religious followers to accuse him of apostasy and disbelief. This study is dedicated to revealing the main characteristics of the master magi image in Hafez's couplets.
