Texto completoCurrently, due to the existing potential regarding technology in the provision of services, the Peruvian government has developed solutions for its inhabitants. A survey conducted by the United Nations in 2016 endorses this fact, showing a high rate of technological development with respect to e-government. However, the same publication showed the low rate of citizen participation about it. These results show how, although there are many government technological services, these do not focus on the citizen or in their active participation, but mainly on technological development. In the present study, an adoption model is proposed, extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) incorporating public value, specifically environmental sustainability, as an external variable. The validation of the proposal was made through a validated survey with experts in the environmental field and applied to citizens of the Peruvian capital. Our results show that environmental sustainability is a factor that positively affects the adoption of e-government in Peru and that should be considered by the authorities as an enhancer of citizen participation about it.

Texto completoExecutive Summary
A company needs guidelines for the organization and its employees to act in the same direction. Core values constitute a fundamental part of a company but they have to be “lived” by the members of the organization in order to be valid. When a company undergoes many
changes, there is a risk of losing the core values as focus is put on the survival of the company. Therefore, the main purpose of this study was to reach a solution for the maintenance of the core values at Atea Logistics, a company which has faced turbulent periods. However, in order to do so, a first requirement was to get in touch with Atea
Logistics’ culture in order to later correctly apprehend the organization’s core values. Hence, this research was guided by the following research question:
“How to maintain core values at Atea Logistics?”
The conducted study consists of a case study made at Atea Logistics in Växjö, which is a part of the Atea Holding AB. The currently successful group, Atea, was created in 1985 under the name of Owell. Atea is a company which helps organizations and companies increase the
benefits of Information Technologies (IT) by providing products and services that simplify the management, operation and development of IT infrastructure. As an IT product supplier, Atea covers the entire cycle from the supply of new IT products to the recycling of old ones.
Since we aimed at providing the company with a research that it could benefit from, this thesis has its base in discussions with managers of Atea Logistics. Empirical data were mostly gathered through interviews with several employees and finally interplay between empirical
data and theoretical findings occurred. The findings of this complex study comprise that core values have been neglected within the company for several years because of repetitive changes. However, employees have been aware of this situation but still have not focused on this aspect.
Several core values have been discovered which have remained since the Owell-time: respect, participation, openness, trust, responsibility and family-friendly. In order for Atea Logistics to maintain these values, several aspects need to be developed such as their clear statement, their communication via different tools (i.e. printed documents, corporate events, an integration process for newcomers, etc.) as well as the alignment of employees with them.

Texto completoThe phenomenon of notional employees has started to occur, since companies are facing an increased challenge to break through the marketing clutter. The phenomenon makes it possible for companies to communicate the increasingly important intangible values of a brand.
The purpose with this thesis is to explore and illustrate how organizational core values are communicated through notional employees.
The phenomenon of notional employees was researched from both a company and customer perspective, where a multiple case study research was made. Interviews were held with the authors of the notional employees and focus groups were held among consumers.
Communication of core values via notional employees follows four steps.
First the notional employee and its character is created. This step is followed by communication of core values through the notional employee. Thirdly, the type of values which has been communicated needs to be analyzed. Finally, if true core values are not communicated, communicative adjustments are required.
These steps are presented in “The Core Value Communication Wheel”.

Texto completoThe study deals with the service delivery challenges facing the Limpopo Department of Public Works with regard to the discharging of its mandates “Provision of government infrastructure, management and maintenance of government immovable assets”. Literature review was conducted as a secondary source of information and primary information was collected from a sample of 61 respondents. The study used both qualitative (focus group discussions) and quantitative (questionnaires) in data collection and analysis. The findings revealed that the root causes of the challenges and the challenges themselves that the Department of Public Works: Limpopo is facing are internal and are as follows; Unavailability of work tools, low morale, budget constraints, long supply chain management processes and a lack of skilled personnel. Recommendations for these challenges are developing human resource capacity coupled with a good human resource plan, availability of a proper budget, business process reengineering, the introduction of a monitoring and evaluation system, a customer relationship management system and lastly a change of the organisational culture.

This analysis explores the feasibility of sorting UK funds into three different styles, which are widely used in the US. In an overview of major factors' impact on the expected risk of a fund, the analysis shows that leverage is by far the most influential factor, followed by the subtype diversification. In a preliminary style-classification, the study uses Loan-to-Value ratio (LTV) as the dominant factor, defining funds with no debt as core, funds with LTV lower than 40% as value-added, and funds with higher than 50% LTV ratios as opportunistic. Then the study makes some adjustments to this classification based on the observation of the funds' attributes other than LTV, and the adjusted classification ends up with 19 core funds, 22 value-added funds and 21 opportunistic funds. After that, three major differences between the UK and US funds are found. First, the core approach represents a smaller portion of the UK funds than the US funds and the opposite is true for the value-added approach. To improve the feasibility of researchers comparing funds within these two countries, the thesis suggests using a fourth style, core-plus. Second, the average LTV for core and value-added approaches is much lower in the UK than in the US. Third, the US opportunistic funds seem to have better performance than their UK counterparts with similar leverage ratio, while future studies would help draw more precise conclusions about the performance comparisons.

From market operation, we can see why Burberry would rather destroy inventory worth 1.1 billion USD than offering discounts and why Ikea still profits after lowering its price every year. This phenomenon tells us that we should value an industry’s ability to profit. Therefore, pricing a product is an important topic on marketing operation. While lowering price is one of the best marketing strategies. There are some methods surrounding customers’ core values in airline industries, department store or internet anniversary sales, and restaurants industries. Therefore, this study aims to explore pricing technique based on customers’ core values. Through research purpose and literary exploration along expert interviews, this study finds that: 1.Product pricing can attract customers and facilitate customer purchasing to ensure profit and creation of competitive edge and continuous operation. 2.When industries are establishing product pricing strategy must transfer customer core value into product pricing. 3.When industries are adopting a high price strategy, they must promise and deliver brand value to gain customer support. 4.Luxury item pricing strategy should include lowering market flow to ensure its value 5.When industries adopt lower pricing strategy, must delete non-essential product cost and maintain expected product profits.

ABSTRACT Research on Core Competency of Government Procurement Specialists by Lin, Kuan-Ren July 2007 ADVISOR:Dr. Lin, Chung-Yi DEPARTMENT::PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND POLICY MAJOR:PUBLIC POLICY AND MANAGEMENT DEGREE::MASTER OF LAW Core competency is the combination of many kinds of knowledge, technique, ability and attitude in an organization. It is the result of all the accumulated knowledge and practice in the organization from past to present. It can allow the organization to achieve a surpassing position and to increase its competitive advantage. Personal core competency can be said to be the foundation of the organization’s core competency and the original source of the organization’s creation of value. The mission of government procurement specialists in their public service is to create humanism, excellent quality and an everlasting “new century” country while actively working in step with the country’s administrative construction goals. The traditional concept of the procurement officer’s competency was only the basic requirement of a formal certificate of competence, on the consideration that the job just required the basic competence to complete the work, to proceed in logical steps, and “to do things properly.” But, according to effective human resource management, “competency” is not just the requirement to perform the tasks completely; it is even more important to possess the concrete ability to improve procurement effectiveness and procurement quality, combined with innovative thinking and techniques, in sum, the ability to achieve results. Therefore, the main purpose of this study lies in examining and discussing the elements included in the core competency of a government procurement specialist. These elements are: matching procurement work with needs of the organizational environment, going through domestic and foreign, public and private offices to learn from their experience of competence, and serving as references for building our country’s new concept of core competency of a procurement specialist. As to research design, the research method is to examine discussions in the academic journal literature and to conduct in-depth interviews. First, from the journal article discussions, the study identifies the desired structure of the procurement specialist’s core competency: The three main surface requirements of core competency include: First, technical level, moral quality, and management ability; these serve as the reference guide for building a procurement specialist. Second, the study selected ten interviewees at random from among procurement specialists and procurement assessors with ample experience, for in-depth interviews. On this basis, the study conducted a synthetic analysis to determine whether or not the procurement specialists’ core competency indeed corresponds with the study’s model. On this basis, it is anticipated this study can construct a model of the core competency needed by government procurement specialists. From analyzing the in-depth interviews conducted for this study, the following suggestions are made for administrative policy: 1.Core competency of procurement specialists should include three aspects: first, technical level: related professional skills, related scope of understanding, and control of procedural flow; second, moral quality: maintain high moral standards, ethical value outlook, and careful decision making; third, management competency: evaluation competency, communication agreement competency, and reform competency. 2.This study’s exploration of the items of procurement personnel’s core competency provides reference materials for organization. It suggests the compiling of a procurement specialist core competency lexicon and as soon as possible establish a microview, and an evaluation chart for measuring observable core competency. This will provide references to each department for hiring and using procurement specialists and be the basis for their training strategy. This study suggests, besides building procurement specialist core competency, we should strike a balance between the government’s financial burden and showing approval of procurement specialists, research setting additional regulations, so that procurement specialists can receive extra payment for their expertise. In this way, they can receive material encouragement. In the same way, the procurement specialists channel of promotion, should be smoothed and widened, etc., with all kinds of positive incentive measures. After knowledge-based economy, the new marketing ideas included the experience of the life esthetic sense to improve consumption aesthetics will create the added-value for the enterprises. The consumption experiences to create esthetic sense have been the part of life and learning, and to be the new intension of competitiveness in the aesthetics of marketing management. Therefore, this paper redefines the intension of marketing management refers to the marketing mix and aesthetics perspective. This paper mainly studies the correlation research in the aesthetics essence of marketing management; it aimed at inducing and collating factors of marketing management aesthetic concept, and further treating the difference with the level of emphasis on each factors of marketing management aesthetics, in order to advance marketing management aesthetic concept model, and then providing reference for marketing personnel to implement marketing management strategy and activity. Finally, according to the relation and effects of marketing management aesthetic factors, business-oriented marketing mix, customer-oriented marketing mix and business core value, to put forward a aesthetic concept model of marketing management, and offer the references of the marketing management strategies and activities to marketing personnel. This research also aims at marketing personnel of 14 industries which are information, manufacturing, dining, wholesale retail and financial service etc., to proceed studying through sampling and quantative analysis method. The result of the empirical analysis shows that there are five factors of marketing management esthetic sense to be extracted. They are namely the “extension of esthetic sense”, the biggest influence factor, that is to say a dealer has to put emphasis on having good connections with consumers and establishing their recognition, then to extend the consumer’s sense and experience on products or business. The second one is “touch of esthetic sense”, which means that a dealer can create association of demand according to consumer’s psychology, and solicit consume impulse. The third one is “experience of esthetic sense”, which means that a dealer has to provide really experience of consuming esthetic sense depending on consumer’s demands, to deeply realize the value of product or service. Furthermore for “impression of esthetic sense”, the mean is that it could attract consumer’s attention immediately, and leave a deep impression to bring consumers response. The last one is “sensibility of esthetic sense”, which means that not only need to present function of product or service, but also need to consider the transmission and communication of emotion. In the aesthetics of marketing management to business core value, there have the mediation effects of business-oriented marketing mix and customer-oriented marketing mix. However, the business-oriented marketing mix is the total effect. So, this paper suggests that if marketing personnel want to advance the aesthetics of marketing management and take shape of the business core value, should enforce the business-oriented marketing mix first, and cooperate to the customer-oriented marketing mix, so that to build up the business core value. The result is expected to contribute establishing the aesthetic system of marketing management, and providing for the marketing personnel to relocate the value of esthetic sense in marketing management, ducting the esthetic sense factor into the management activity of enterprise to found more marketing opportunities on esthetic sense.

Abstract This research aims to explore the current state of the core values of character education as they are practiced by the students of elementary schools in Yi-lan County. The research offers a number of conclusions and suggestions, in order to provide a framework of reference for better implementation of character education in the school system. The research takes a look at previous documents, and establishes a research framework by adopting “Research Survey of the practice of character education in elementary schools” as a research tool. Research objects are the senior students of elementary schools of Ilan County. Of a total of 585 questionnaires issued, 583 are valid, so the percentage of valid questionnaires are 99%. The analysis of the result has been based on the “average,” “standard deviations,” “T-Test,” “F-Test,” “One Way ANOVA Spass,” and “Pearson product-moment correlation” of the research survey. Conclusion is as follows: 1.As a whole, the practice of the core values of character education is at high level. 2.Among the practice of core values, “highly-motivated,” “loving the environment,” and “respect for elders” score highest, whereas “self-discipline,” “modesty & politeness” and “tolerance” get lower grades. 3.From the students of one school district to those of another, there are significant differences in the practice of “teamwork,””self-discipline,””modesty & politeness” and “tolerance.” 4.In the practice of “respect for elders,””tolerance,””responsibility & conscientiousness,””highly-motivate” and “fairness & justice,” there are significant differences between larger schools and smaller ones. 5.In the practice of “respect for life,””responsibility & conscientiousness,””honesty & credibility,””self-discipline” and “highly-motivated,” there are significant differences between different grades, and fifth graders score higher than sixth graders. 6.Except for “respect for elders,” there is no significant difference between different classes in the practice of other core values. 7.In the practice of “self-discipline,””modesty & politeness” and “concern for others & doing good deeds,” there are significant differences between different genders, with girls scoring much higher than boys. 8.In the practice of “respect for elders,””honesty & credibility” and “tolerance,” there are significant differences between students taught by teachers of different genders, with those taught by female teachers scoring much higher than those taught by male teachers. 9.In the practice of teamwork, there are significant differences between student cadres and general students. Those with cadre experience score much better than those without the experience. 10.Better practice of any one of the core values in character education, especially “self-discipline” and “concern for others & doing good deeds,” tends to raise the level of the practice of all other core values. On the basis of the conclusions listed above, this research offers the following suggestions: 1.For education administration: concrete codes of behavior and related budget should be adopted for the selected core values. To better advance character education, there should be a reexamination of character education in elementary schools. A manpower databank should also be constructed and a review system should be established. 2.For schools: Character education should be incorporated into school development planning, and character education should be quality-oriented and aim at sustainability. Adopt those core values which are best suited to your development plans, so that the teachers, parents and students can work together for a character-based school. Texto completoPublic sector managers take much of the responsibility for selecting, commissioning, implementing and realising benefits from information technology (IT) projects. However, e-Government initiatives often suffer from complexity, vision failure, lack of goal clarity and insufficient commitment. These problems may stem from value traditions that are deeply ingrained in managers’ cultural environments but not always in harmony with each other. A first step towards working with value complexity is to understand it; we synthesise a model of value positions for e-Government derived from major traditions in the public administration literature. Four value positions relevant to e-Government together with their IT assumptions are identified; they reflect the ideals of professionalism, efficiency, service and engagement. A qualitative investigation of Danish local authority managers displays both value congruence and value divergence. The interpretive study results in a theoretical model that combines value positions and relationships, and the model’s implications for researchers and practitioners in focusing successful e-Government initiatives are outlined.

Abstract Student ID: N9458001 Title of thesis: Aesthetics in Human Resource Management and Business Core Value Total page: 121 Name of Institute: Department Business Management, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology Graduate data: June, 2007 Degree Conferred: Master Name of student: Lee, Szu-Ching Adviser: Dr. Liaw, Shu-Yi The ideology of human resource management has transferred from the concept of high efficient man power application in the era of industry to developing talent human resource in the time of intellectual economy until today’s sentimental stage of developing the aesthetics in human resource. Aesthetics is the core of competition in the new era; human is one of the most important assets for the enterprise. How to conduct the enterprise aesthetic into the practice of human resource management, strengthen the enterprise’s competition in the changes of inner and outer environments, and increase the business core value become extremely necessary. Nevertheless, among most documents of human resource management, the connotation of enterprise aesthetics has not been concretely expressed. Thus, it worths us to do further studying in this subject. The major purpose of this studying is to find out how the enterprise aesthetics influences the way of thinking in today’s human resource management; furthermore, to develop the concept of the aesthetics of human resource management. From the questionnaires which were given to the person who is in charge of human resource together with the statistic analyses, there are five hundred and twenty one (521) legitimate copies in return. Thinking from the perspectives of acquisition, compensation, development and maintenance in human resource management, we can conclude there are four major characters—the beauty of rationality, the beauty of harmony, the beauty of creation, and the beauty of feedback in enterprise aesthetics. Within these four characters, there are sixteen (16) items of connotation. In addition, studying on the basic data of questionnaires and the different weight of vary important factors, we may discover how to make the aesthetics of human resource management became the common sense of enterprise’s culture and combine with the outer image of the enterprise, then to form the core value for the enterprise. In studying, the result reveals that the factors of aesthetics of human resource management have no direct influence upon how the enterprise forms its core value. However, through practicing enterprise aesthetics inside of enterprise plus giving the identity and building up the outer image of enterprise can reach to a visible influence on the forming of the core value. The presumption of this studying is if an enterprise can inspire their employees in a positive emotion and allow their employees work at a pleasant and professional environment, be through the mutual learning in working sills, experience the harmonious human relationship, and conduct the connotation of aesthetics at work, it can assure the sense and sensibility in the human resource management and the rewarding system. To add aesthetics to the strategy of human resource management in the enterprise not only unifying employee’s attitude and sense of value, but also obtain the positive response from its customers which enable the enterprise to build up its own image among their competitors. Thus, it can create the centripetal force and competitiveness which can not be imitated by others. Yet it can form an unique culture style and the enterprise core value. I sincerely hope this studying can be the reference of the application for the system of human resource management in enterprises and in some way would help the enterprise to establish the system of the aesthetics of human resource management and add the connotation of aesthetics in business practice. Key words: Human Resource Management, Enterprise Aesthetics, Corporate Image, Enterprise Core Value
