Resumen
Conduct problems in young children, if not addressed, can develop into extremely serious and costly problems by the time adolescence is reached. The findings of this research project indicate that there are effective, affordable interventions for young children. Early identification and intervention are the keys to reducing the personal costs to troubled children and their families as well as the financial costs to health and social service systems.

Resumen
AbstractMany children are reported by parents to exhibit problems of conduct at home, and similarly many children are reported by teachers to exhibit conduct problems at school. Surprisingly, very little research has examined the extent to which children exhibit behavioural problems in the clinical range at both home and school. The current study examined the co-occurrence of problems at home and school in a sample of 189 children in schools in Victoria. The total sample consisted of (a) 124 children whose parents responded to invitations to participate distributed through schools, and (b) 65 children who had been referred to various agencies because of conduct problems. The occurrence of problems at home was assessed using the Child Behaviour Checklist (Achenbach & Edelbrock, 1983), and problems at school were assessed using the Teacher Report Form (Achenbach & Edelbrock, 1986). For the school sample, 7 children (5.6%) exhibited conduct problems in both settings (scores in the borderline/ clinical range), with 27 children (21.7%) exhibiting them in one setting only. For the clinic sample, 39 children (60.0%) exhibited problems in both settings, with 21 children (32.3%) exhibiting them in one setting only. The results of this study indicate the need for interventions that can be used consistently across home and school settings, as well as independently in single settings when warranted.

Resumen
BackgroundReciprocal associations between negative parenting and child externalising problems are well documented, but measures commonly include child irritability, masking potential distinct associations for irritability and conduct problems.AimsTo illuminate links between negative parenting, child conduct problems and irritability over time.MethodA cross-lagged monozygotic (MZ) twin differences design was used in a UK sample (3154 twin pairs) at 4, 7 and 9 years.ResultsWithin-pair MZ differences in negative parenting were found to relate longitudinally to differences in conduct problems and irritability. Of note, negative parenting at age 7 was found to relate particularly to increased irritability at 9 years.ConclusionsOnce genetics are taken into account, irritability in middle childhood may be particularly vulnerable to negative parenting, suggesting support for its malleability to parent-based intervention.

Resumen
BackgroundMental health problems among youth, are frequent especially in offenders and as such is very important to identify as early as possible.ObjectivesTo estimate and compare level of some mental health problems between three groups of male youths: juvenile offenders in correctional center, adolescents with conduct problems and university students.MethodIt is cross-sectional quantitative study. The sample consisted of three male groups: 41offenders placed in one correctional center (Mean age = 18.02; SD = 2.20); 41 male students of secondary school with conduct problems (Mean age = 16.97; SD = 61) and 42 male university students randomly selected (Mean age = 19.7; SD = 1.77). They filled questionnaire MAYSI–2. Data processing was done with SPSS 21.0 and Microsoft Excel 2013.ResultsJuvenile offenders in correctional center scored significantly higher than other two groups of youth in alcohol/substance abuse subscale (P = 001), Suicidal ideation subscale (P = 048) and traumatic stress subscale (P = 003) based on Kruskal-Wallis Test. Juvenile offenders in correctional center scored higher but non-significantly in angry/irritable and depression/anxious subscales. Students of secondary school with conduct problems scored higher but non-significantly in thought disturbance and somatic subscales.ConclusionMale juvenile offenders have significantly more mental health difficulties. Mental health needs of youths in Kosovo (especially juvenile offenders) seem to be numerous and is important to be addressed properly.

Description of the risk and deficiency of sensory integration, learning, affectiveness and conduct in elementary government school studentsAbstractA study that identifies the difficulties of sensorial integration is carried out, describing its projection over learning, effectiveness and conduct problems. The analysis is made with absolute and relative frequencies for each variable with a descriptive methodology in a sample of sixty-six students between the ages of seven and ten years old, fifty-five parents and twelve teachers of a government school. For the evaluation, the ESP, BASC and the semi-structure was used, and for the parents the TDAH. Thus, several percentages were identified over the population, such as a 45.6% with deficit on sensorial integration, a 57.5% with difficulties for reading and writing, a 93.3% with difficulties in calculus, and a 70% with lower performance. Additionally, a 21% presented affective problems, 30% presented depression, a 18.1% presented negative-defiant conduct problems, a 3% presented dissocial problems, and a 22.1% presented adaptability problems. The hypothesis over the existence of the integration deficit, sensorial, learning problem, affectivity and conduct was confirmed, in a same sample and probably related. Implying a complex characterization of the phenomena, comprehension, evaluation and intervention that included the identified dimensions. Keywords: Sensory integration, learning, affectivity, behavior.

Resumen
Michel Foucault suggests that ‘conduct’ is not only something we do, but something that is done to us, as well as a behaviour or practice that is an effect of other forms of conduct. How is the conduct of the dance field – in the different ways that Foucault is referring to it – affected by, and affecting neoliberalism? What is dance's role in the contemporary neoliberal moment? These are the questions I unpick in this article. I do so, first, by using Foucault's thinking on neoliberalism and the relationship between conduct, biopolitics, and neoliberal governmentality in order to illustrate how bodies of individuals and that of society are affected by the neoliberal economy. Wendy Brown's work on neoliberalism, which builds on Foucault's thinking, is interweaved in this discussion to allow me to address neoliberalism's function and effects in the contemporary moment. Second, I examine some of the problems of the contemporary dance economy as I, and other scholar-practitioners, have identified them, and address their relationship to neoliberalism, conduct, governmentality, and biopolitics – how they result from conducts suggested by neoliberalism or helping it do its work by becoming conducts of the field. I propose ways we might address them, suggesting that it is urgent that we do so if we are to advance the field and resist neoliberalism. For this, I use examples from conversations that recently took place in the field, such as at PAF London (2015), Sadler's Wells Summer University (2015), and Resilience: Articulating Dance Knowledges in the 21st Century and Post Dance conferences (2015). I argue that dance has an important role to play in changing today's world, but needs to come to terms with what I refer to as its ‘fears’, assert itself, and take action. In many ways, this article constitutes a critique of the contemporary dance economy; a critique that, by showing the relation of our conduct to conducts imposed by larger economies, aspires at articulating our role as central to both advancing the field and effecting social change.
