Resumen
This paper presents the findings of research carried out with the aim of gaining an understanding of the characteristics of male and female child characters in children's literature. "Characteristics" in our research refers to the representation, role and description of male and female characters. The sample consisted of 32 literary texts with child characters in readers used in the first and second grades of primary school. Using the descriptive method and the technique of content analysis, it was established that male characters are almost twice as represented as female characters and that they are more frequently the main characters in a text. With regard to character description, inquisitiveness, imaginativeness and resourcefulness are the most common traits of male characters, while kindness and sensibility are characteristics ascribed only to female characters. It is surprising that the female characters did not have negative traits, leading to the conclusion that their characteristics are more positively rated than the characteristics and actions of male characters. Based on our data, we can conclude that gender stereotypes are present in the descriptions of male and female characters, and we therefore invite readers to take part in further discussions and a more comprehensive analysis of the representation of child characters both in literary works and in other cultural products.

Kambar was a star of Tamil Literature Ramayanam Written by Valmiki was translated from Sanskrit Languages to Tamil by the great Poet Kambar. Eventhough is was a translated one, it seems to be a new epic written on his own with some added flavours that is why Ramayana was called to the Kambaramayanam along with the name of the poet which has been a fame till to day. Hanuman the son of Vayu is one of the unparalled fables created by kamber in the Kambaramayanam. In the Myth stories characters plays a vital role the characters are being seen as the one who give life to the story. According to S. Balachandran, “Each and every word spoken by the character has to show the special characteristics of the character”. This article Hanuman is shown as a connectivity bridge between the character, the one who has good characteristics, the one who with good speaking skills and the one who gave life and emotions to the story.

Resumen
Interjection words have a great role in expressing feelings, mental impulses, mental-dynamic states in the artistic text. Interjections are actively used in both poetic and prose types of speech, and can be a linguopoetic tool in both types of text, in expressing the speech in which it is part with strong emotions and in a strong tone. Uzbek writers widely use interjections to create contrasting speech features that give the reader an idea of the character traits of different characters. The generalization of certain specific features of speech, the choice of different types of interjections, as well as the frequency of their repetition in characteristic speech are subject to the author's general creative intention. It also helps him create a true image of the characters depicted in the literary work. Keywords: literature, image, translation, influence, tradition, creativity, poetry, ghazal, skill.

Resumen
Abstract This research examines literary techniques used in the adaptation of Lilit Taleng Phai to a Chakrabhand puppet play and analyzes characteristics of Taleng Phai: A Chakrabhand Puppet Play as performance literature. The study reveals that four literary techniques were used to make this adaptation: 1) adaptation of the content; 2) the characters; 3) the pattern; and 4) the presentation. These adaptations contribute to the characteristics of puppet play as performance literature through five conventions: 1) use of an invocation for puppet performance; 2) inclusion of puppet songs; 3) insertion of jokes; 4) method of delivery of puppets to the stage; and 5) not ending with the death of a character. Importantly, the play includes three innovations of puppet performance: 1) the creation of a puppet play from historical literature; 2) the creation of an atmosphere in a puppet performance; and 3) the creation of songs and a singing format.

Resumen
Characters for young readers In discussions on the nature of children and youth literature, various aspects occur repeatedly. The presumption that these aspects are also factors that exert a meaningful influence on the characters in the genre is largely confirmed by research. Based on developmental characteristics, 11-14 year-olds are identifiable as a group with a unique profile. From this it follows that a relationship between the reader profile en genre conventions can be indicated and that it can be applied specifically to character as an element of the narrative. Characteristic genres and genre conventions establish a framework of expectations within the reader, which co-determines the selection, creation and portrayal of characters. The social cognitive development of the young reader appears to be of special importance in character portrayal. Reader identification with characters largely contributes to reader involvement and to the pleasure a young reader derives from the reading of stories. As a result of the educational situatedness of the young reader, ideology plays an important role in literature for the young. Successful characters have always been regarded as important in ensuring the success of a story. Through selection and the equipping of characters, and by means of portrayal, the writer can work towards this aim.

Resumen
Chaetodon auriga and Chaetodon vagabundus are popular marine aquaria fish from Cahetodontidae family. Both species show subtle morphological variations, especially in juvenile stages, which might lead to misidentification. Additional morphological characteristics, such as truss morphometric, are valuable characters for species identification in Chaetodontidae. This study aimed to evaluate morphological differences between Chaetodon auriga and C. vagabundus based on truss morphometric characters. The study is expected to provide new morphometric characters for Chaetodon auriga and C. vagabundus differentiation on the southern coast of West Java, Indonesia. Fish samples were collected from Ujunggenteng and Taman Manalusu Beach. The specimens were identified based on morphological characteristics and referred to the characters available in the literature. Truss morphometric characters were measured using callipers with an accuracy of 0.01mm and convert to ratio values to obtain constant value. The data were analyzed statistically using the Mann-Whitney test in SPSS software packages. The result showed that five truss morphometric characters were significantly different between C. auriga and C.vagabundus. This study concluded that C. auriga and C. vagabundus could be differentiated using truss morphometric character. This study provides five new morphometric characters for species differentiation in fish species, especially between C. auriga and C. vagabundus.

Resumen
Humans not only err, they often err willingly and explicitly, for both pleasure and edification. We accordingly “find” faces everywhere . . . most frequently, in the “faces” in paintings. And if we look at stars, clouds, and shadows we can find anything we want to find, so great is the indeterminacy of such finding places and so willing are we, for certain purposes, to accept the most minimal likenesses as “like.”Adena Rosmarin, The Power of Genre (1985)Adena Rosmarin's comment is part of a wider discussion of E. H. Gombrich's idea of the role of “schema” in perceptions of art—a concept he uses to explain, among other things, how it is that observers can perceive a face in a collection of lines and dots, and, more generally, why it makes sense to say that all art begins not with nothing but with something. A snowman starts with the schema that is snow, for example, and we “work the snow and balance the shapes till we recognize a man.” And not only do we work the snow to achieve some approximation of human faces and bodies, but we find human characteristics in—or, more accurately, make characters out of—all sorts of things, living and not. Certainly, we project character onto living nonhumans, such as cats, dogs, birds, and plants, imagining that they share our feelings of love, loneliness, and desire, but we also assign character and characteristics to inanimate objects and assorted phenomena: ships, cars, and hurricanes all get names; we may talk to the toaster, or grumble at a shoelace that, we imagine, stubbornly refuses—refuses!—to untie. Thus it is hardly surprising that literary characters, intended expressly as vehicles for imaginative occupation, take on a similarly outsize quality in our psyches. Words on a page, constructions of language, they invite us to consider them as soulmates and doppelgängers; nightmare—or perhaps ideal—versions of parents, brothers, sisters, friends, and selves: the families we might have chosen if we could; the me (or not me) nobody knows.

Resumen
The archetypal sage character is a common, though relatively unexplored character, in young adult literature (YAL). Employing a sociocultural, constructivist understanding of archetypes, we unpack features of the sage through an examination of three sagacious characters: the Receiver of Memory in The Giver, Haymitch Abernathy in The Hunger Games, and Anatov in Akata Witch. Our analysis reveals how these characters are each marked with physical or behavioral abnormalities, are isolated from society and its institutions, and possess dangerous knowledge of eros (The Giver), power (The Hunger Games), and identity (Akata Witch). They are also depicted as standing in sharp contrast to other, more typical teachers in the intimate relationships they form with students and degree of vulnerability they display. All of these characteristics, we argue, might explain the appeal of the sagecharacter in YAL, as well as its curious absence from our common understanding of K-12 teachers and curriculum. Indeed, we see these characterizations of fictional teachers as raising interesting questions about sagacious mentorship and wisdom in schools.

Resumen
The issue of feminism has been a topic of discussion for many years, transforming several fields, including literature. As feminist issues have emerged, many literary works have begun to portray feminist characteristics. One of them is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's A Scandal in Bohemia, which has the feminist character of Irene Adler. Irene Adler is an interesting central character in this classic Sherlock Holmes story. Sherlock Holmes. Known for her intelligence and independence, Adler is feminist in the detective narrative. Irene Adler's character challenges existing ideas about women in literature at the time. The author used a qualitative method with a feminist literary criticism approach based on the theory of modern feminism, which states that everyone has the right to determine their own path of life, regardless of the influence of their environment. After analyzing the story of A Scandal in Bohemia, the author found seven characters of Irene Adler that represent feminist characters, such as strong-willed, assertive, independent, freedom of expression, self-confidence, strategic intelligence, and the ability to challenge and change stereotypes and male views of women. The implication of this research is that readers can gain a better understanding of how feminist characters contribute to the development of plots and themes in certain literary works or media.

Resumen
Jeonghyobujeon was recorded in Hangeul in 1914 and distributed mainly in Jeonju, Jeolla-do, and is a classic novel first introduced to academia. Jeonghyobujeon has the character of an ethical novel in the theme aspect and a novel with a trial in the composition aspect. The most influential thing in forming the narrative of Jeonghyobujeon is the story of “Ukong(于公)and DonghaeHyobu(東海孝婦)” contained in 󰡔HanSeo(漢書)󰡕71, 「WuCengkwook(于定國)」. Comparing the spatio-temporal backgrounds, characters, and major narratives of the two works, Jeonghyobujeon was created under the influence of 「WuCengkwook(于定國)」. Jeonghyobujeon composed a novel by featuring Kim Cheol-soo as a villain and inserting a story of suffering in hell under God's punishment. In addition, Wukong of Jeonghyobujeon is embodied in the form of a much more insightful official than Wukong recorded in 「WuCengkwook(于定國)」. Woo Gong of 「WuCengkwook(于定國)」 is only in a position to persuade the fact that DonghaeHyobu(東海孝婦) is innocent. However, WuGong in Jeonghyobujeon, made a dramatic character by consoling Mrs. Jeong's ghost by making a direct ruling and later bringing her back to the real world. Jeonghyobujeon was novelized based on Chinese records, but in the process, it was meaningful in that it was newly created and novelized by actively expanding the role of characters and inserting the heroine's fantasy experience. I think it will be a major work that can examine the relationship between acceptance and influence of Chinese literature in the study of novels in the late Joseon Dynasty.

Resumen
To build students' character, the Indonesian government has made various efforts, one of which is updating the curriculum to make it in line with the demands of the current times. Given the importance of character building since the school age, the Curriculum 2013 (K-13) was developed and it contains 18 national characters that must be promoted and developed during the learning process. However, until now the curriculum seems to have not been able to shape the character of students as expected. Therefore, this study aims to present alternative approaches in building student character. The approach is to form character at home, some are formed in school, and some are formed in society. This study provides concrete examples of character development contained in K-13 with an Islamic approach. This study is a qualitative study analyzed using Islamic education theory and maqāṣid al-sharī'ah. Data is collected in two ways, namely; in-depth interviews with informants and literature studies related to the discussion. The results show that religious characters such as honesty, discipline, independence, and responsibility are easier to build at home using the Islamic approach. Furthermore, the characters of tolerance, hard work, creativity, democracy, curiosity, nationalism, patriotism, respect for achievement, and fondness for reading are easier to develop at schools with an Islamic approach as well. Finally, it is easier to develop characters such as friendly/communicative, peace-loving, environmental awareness, and social characteristics within society. In addition, the 18 characters are related to the purpose of maqāṣid al-sharī'ah as well as Islamic education.

Resumen
This study discusses the use of anthropomorphism in two episodes of Upin and Ipin entitled Aku Sebatang Pensel and Aku Sebuah Jam. Through observation and note-taking techniques, data were obtained to analyze how the two episodes humanize pencils and clocks. The results of the analysis show the presence of anthropomorphic elements in both episodes, including human characters, emotions, and human behavior given to pencils and clocks. The pencils in the episode Aku Sebatang Pensel behave like humans with the ability to speak, interact, and show emotions such as worry, anger, pride, sadness, and joy. Meanwhile, the clock characters in the episode Aku Sebuah Jam also show human behavior with the ability to speak, share experiences, show concern, and dance. Sad emotions are also displayed by the clock characters. The characteristics of pencil and clock characters include helpful, encouraging, caring, argumentative, passionate, optimistic, cheerful, curious, obedient, and expressive. This study uncovers the use of anthropomorphism in Upin and Ipin animations, shedding light on its contribution to children's imagination, understanding of complex issues, and story appeal. Through this technique, young audiences can connect with the characters and develop empathy. Resumen
The Victorian Era of writings of works such as Charles Dickens Hard Times used the social and environmental setting by which the characters live in; it is created by a philosophy that adds fuel to sustain the advancement of industrialization. The philosophy mirrors the mechanical characteristics of industrialization and how they are expressed is of great importance to the mechanical perceptions, such as objective utilitarianism. The mechanization that is found in the lives of the characters has an evil presence of depriving them of human dignity by living a mechanical lifestyle. It was the mechanical lifestyle that can be explained through Marxist theory to explain the key characteristics of the Industrial Era and its importance to materialism, as it represented political power. Marxism provides a theory for requiring the working class to concentrate on working in factories in Coketown and the “bourgeois” to separate themselves as competing agents of self-interest. It is a goal of the wealthy social class to maximize utility as a consumer and profit as a producer within the mechanical world. Keywords: Victorian Era; Mechanical Thinking; Marxist Theory

Resumen
Abstract The phenomenon of preserving ancient character forms (wenzi cungu xianxiang 文字存古現象) can be observed in certain recently unearthed bamboo slip manuscripts from the Warring States. These characters have preserved early character structures or word usage habits, thus reflecting an interactive relationship between the copyist and the source text. Based on the number of early characters observed in a copied manuscript, Warring States bamboo manuscripts can largely be divided into three categories. One category containing relatively more words with early word forms can be dubbed as “transcripts containing characteristics of ancient text preservation,” with the Tsinghua manuscripts *Xinian 繫年, *Hou fu 厚父, *Sheming 攝命, and *Si gao 四告 being the most emblematic of this category. The value of research into ancient character forms preserved in Warring States bamboo-slip manuscripts is important in many ways, such as providing evidence for character identification; helping to determine the origins of ancient manuscript source texts and their time of transcription; and demonstrating how documents may have been transmitted. All these aspects are evident in the relevant Tsinghua manuscripts. However, in assessing whether ancient character forms were indeed preserved in Warring States manuscripts, two problems must be accounted for: first, some characters that have previously been identified as having characteristics of different scripts may have earlier origins or lack any obvious script-specific features; second, some ancient-looking characters cannot necessarily be used as a standard to determine the occurrence of ancient script forms.

Resumen
The article examines the literary movement of romanticism as a creative method employed by Su Manshu and Yu Dafu, two Chinese writers of the first half of the 20th century. The novelty of the research lies in the comparative analysis of the works of these two popular literati, whose prose had a significant influence on the formation of modern Chinese literature. It is reported that the interest of Chinese writers in romantic sentiments was fueled by their exposure to European literature through translations into Japanese and Chinese. Both writers referred to themselves as romantics, but their reasons for being drawn to this artistic method were different. Su Manshu was captivated by the new genre features, such as biographies written from the author’s perspective rather than focusing solely on historical figures, which was sanctioned by traditional literature. Yu Dafu was attracted to the romantic artistic style for its ability to employ unconventional expressive means in Chinese literature. At the same time, the romantic compositions of both writers carry markers of national identity. For Su Manshu, this is evident in the portrayal of female characters, while for Yu Dafu, it is manifested in the use of nature imagery to convey the mood of the characters. The article highlights that the development of romanticism in Chinese literature has been insufficiently studied by Russian sinologists and holds prospects for further research.

Resumen
The article proposes an explanation for why spectators may enjoy excessive punishment when watching fiction, even in Scandinavia where harsh punishment is roundly condemned. Excessive punishment is typically carried out by a vigilante avenger, and in fiction this character is often a fantastic character (e.g., not realistic, taking on superhuman and/or supernatural characteristics). We allow ourselves to enjoy punishment more readily when the character who punishes is clearly fictional. In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Let the Right One In, fantastic elements seep into an otherwise realistic setting and allow the spectator to fully enjoy the main characters’ vigilante revenge. The theory of fictional reliefs posited here holds that this mixture of modes facilitates one of two paths to moral judgment.

Resumen
Humans have gone through many incidents, both good and bad experiences, and sometimes these experiences are shared with others in the form of stories. The stories, as one of the forms of literary works, would be nothing without the created characters within them because they provide the viewers with a purpose and a reason for us to learn about what happens in the story. Besides, they act as one important element in the movie with various psychological effects. This research aims to analyze the characteristics and the hierarchy of human needs, especially esteem needs, that appear in the main character named Will Traynor in the ‘Me Before You’ movie directed by Thea Sharrock. This study uses descriptive data analysis which describes a phenomenon and the main character in the movie. The results revealed seven characters comprising the esteem needs hierarchy: sensitive, open-minded, friendly, kind, confident, humble, and stubborn. The esteem needs hierarchy is the desire to have the need to be approved, valued, and recognized to have some self-esteem. This is striking in the movie because of the status of the character, Will Traynor as a lord, and Louisa Clark who is only a maid and has no superiority over Will in her life. The findings imply the personality of humans differ in their characters and psychology as shown from the esteem needs hierarchy in Will’s personality expressing the different types of characteristics.

Resumen
This study was to formulate a gender-responsive agile leadership model during the Covid-19 pandemic. A systematic literature review using PRISMA methods and field research on 18 purposely selected mid-level managers was conducted. The research discovers that first, agile leadership characteristics can be classified into individual and organizational dimensions. Individual characteristics include the personal values of agile leaders with good personalities. Organizational characteristics are characteristics to maintain and bring the organization to face a fast-changing and uncertain world. Second, the characteristics of gender-perspective leadership in the Covid-19 era are the commitment to change the management system, organizational culture, and the quality of leadership to promote gender equity. Finally, the Gendered-Perspective Agile Leadership model in the VUCA era during the Covid-19 pandemic is a leadership model that can quickly respond to gender issues through management system change, organizational culture, and character development of leaders oriented to individual and organizational characteristics. Individually trained leader characters are supposed to be intelligent, optimistic, communicative, accountable and compassionate, while organizationally oriented leader characters are adaptive, responsive, innovative, flexible, and transparent. This paper uses thematic analysis to fill the gap of the gendered-perspective agile leadership model by exploring the characteristics of gendered- perspective agile leadership in the COVID- 19 era.

Resumen
The study material in the article is the story «Poor Liza» by N.M. Karamzin. The subject includes the key word «character» and the key concept «nature» acting as the narrator’s explicated associates. The research purpose is to establish and analyze textual links (text signs) of the associative level with deep artistic psychological characteristics of the narrator’s image in the aspect of artistic-psychological sense generation, as well as to identify methods of activating the reader’s attention and creating an emotional response. The interdisciplinary research has been carried out at the junction of the psychological direction of literary criticism, communicative stylistics and psy- chology. The mechanism of representation of the narrator’s value ideas, attitudes and beliefs is traced through 1) «multi-layered» associations concerning the system of his views. They are revealed through the artistic-psychological intercon- nectedness and interdependence of the story characters; 2) a supporting element of the associative chain, as well as polysemy of the word-associate, superposition of meanings, semantic pulsation, inclusion in various artistic-psychological con- texts implemented in the course of associative explication; 3) a dominant content of the associates, which is different for the characters and serves as an artisticpsychological basis for the formation of the narrator’s associations between them and their text fragments; 4) a structural-semantic construction of an associative chain related to one character, but containing representatives related to another character, which reveals the narrator’s perception of both characters. The results of the study carried out in this article can be used in research and teaching activities, 18th century literature courses, textbooks, special course programs.

Blockbuster films intended for an international audience often depict universally recognisable psychological motivations and limitations, presenting characters whose verbal expressions create distinct psychological impressions. This paper focused on the relationship between language use, including narratives and psychological categories of words, and the psychological traits of cinematic personalities. The study aimed to investigate how a character's language usage exposed their personality, psychological attributes, and transformations throughout their story arc and archetype. To achieve this, in the research a connection between Maslow's hierarchy of human needs, Jung's concept of archetypes, and Schmidt's typology of master characters in fiction was drawn, which expanded the understanding of the heroine Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy verbal behavior. The research further defined the character's psychological image and arc by analysing their speech patterns. It identified the character's archetypes, namely the Backstabber and the Father's Daughter, and explored the progression between these archetypes. Additionally, the article employed the narrative analysis to construct the character's story. The narrative analysis was concluded with the implementation of the LIWC-22 psycholinguistic analysis in order to validate the findings derived from the psycholinguistics and cinematic studies. This method allowed for a comprehensive examination of the language used by cinematic characters, providing insights into their psychological traits and development. Ultimately, this research has contributed to the comprehension of how people's psychological characteristics are depicted and communicated through language in mass cinematography.

Resumen
The article is devoted to comprehensive research on the novel The Little Friend by D. Tartt. It investigates the narrative features and genre characteristics of the literary work. The immanent method was used in research to study the narrative model: the symbolic meaning of the title, the specifics of the settings and plot structure, means of characterization, the theme of racial inequality, intertextuality, and photographic ekphrasis in the novel. The contextual method allowed us to identify the features of the ‘southern noir’ in the novel, as well as to consider the traditional and innovative manifestations of the characteristics of young adult literature. The theme of growing up in the novel is associated with traditional motives of loss, experiencing death, illness, mental pain, disappointment, and self-attainment. The Little Friend is third-person narration, this is the only work by D. Tartt where it is used, opposite to the retrospective confessional narration of the novels The Secret History and The Goldfinch. The story is told by the omniscient author who enters the mind of his character. It gives the writer the possibility to focus not only on the inner world of the main characters but also to present the historical and cultural background, as well as to create expressive psychological portraits of the minor characters and their families. The tone of the novel is quite conversational; the narrator is very exact in describing the characters and places. The paper concludes that the novel simultaneously contains the features of young adult fiction – the theme of growing up through overcoming trials (loneliness, loss, fighting the evil / awareness of the illusory nature of ideas about it), and the characteristics of the literature of the American South, the contexts of which play a crucial role for D. Tartt as a writer and a person.

Resumen
The article deals with the study of the peculiarities of linguistic expression of the category of assessment, which as a universal language category operating at different language levels, plays an important role in the choice of native speakers and, consequently, culture, language means of information and is equally important for mental processes of perception, comprehension and acceptance or non-acceptance of this information. The publications in the scientific literature on various aspects of the study of the category of evaluation in terms of language have been reviewed. The analysis of the peculiarities of verbalization of the category of evaluation is carried out on the material of fictional and dramatic discourse, which is a productive language environment for studying the category of evaluation, because through verbalized national-cultural ideas and stereotypes are reflected the conceptual and linguistic pictures of the world. First of all, this category is manifested in the language and characteristics of the characters. Special attention is paid to the characters of a (chynovnyk, pan, a pani, a panna and a cossack, verbalized in the fictional and dramatic discourse of the XIX century. Evaluative characteristics, which are the elements of language modeling of fictional images, served as a basis for distinguishing the following types of evaluation: positive and negative evaluation in the structure of the text narrative, neutral evaluation, hidden positive evaluation, author's evaluation, evaluation by other characters. A positive evaluation in the language of fiction is shown by the linguistic means of creating the character of a cossack. Negative assessment was found in the linguistic means of creating the image of the pan (landlord), the images of the pani and panna are ambivalent. Evaluation is present both in the language of the characters and in the author's characteristics or comments. The object of evaluation in the fictional and dramatic genres can be both internal and external characteristics of the characters, and external characteristics are often marked by positive evaluation, while internal features have either negative or ambivalent evaluation characteristics. It was found that the ways of realization of positive or negative evaluation in the language of fiction are quite diverse. They depend on the literary and fictional methods, the creative manner of the writer and reflect his worldview.

Resumen
The supposed plight of multi-racial persons is widely depicted in modern American literature, including the works of William Faulkner, whose stories follow the lives of multi-racial characters such as Joe Christmas and Sam Fathers, who, reflecting characteristics of “tragic mulatto” figures, search for acceptance in a racially polarized Mississippi society. Yet more contemporary literature, including works by Michael Dorris, Leslie Marmon Silko, Toni Morrison, and Clarence Major, reference the historical relationship between African Americans and American Indians, featuring multi-racial characters that more successfully fit the fabric of current American culture than do more “traditional” works such as Faulkner's. While an outdated black-white binary still lingers in American perceptions of race, increasingly, racial identity is now informed by self-identification, community recognition, and acculturation. As a result, black and Indian characters, as well as multi-racial authors, provide varied and insightful glimpses into the complexity of America's racial landscape.

These epithets focus on the characters’ ethnicity, negative characteristics, ugly physical appearance, and worthless elements. The use of epithets is the poet’s strategy to express meaning and emotion in their poetic works. Moreover, the use of epithets through various words makes the literature more colorful and enhances emotional feelings in the readers.

The study concluded the following main features characterize Li Xiangjun: Firstly, it is distinguished from the specificity of the female figure in ancient literature, especially in the literature of the Ming and Qing dynasties; secondly, it is constrained by the limitations of traditional Chinese culture, especially the traditional Confucian culture; and finally, it is based on the complexity of the first two characteristics. The characterization of Li Xiangjun is both progressive and fails to transcend the limitations of the time.

Resumen
Animals as characters have been present in literature from its very beginning, from ancient fables, stories about animals, through the biblical motif in the story of Adam and Eve to contemporary literary works, especially in works intended for children. Starting from the approach of animal studies as a discipline that deals with the analysis of the depiction of animals in literature, focusing on children’s literature, the anthropomorphic aspect of the analysis was singled out. Branko V. Radičević (1925–2001) sculpted figures of animals in his works intended for children. The aim of the paper is to analyze the emotional discourse in Branko V. Radičević’s animalistic prose for children. The focus will be on the work The Learned Cat (Učeni mačak), the tasks are to observe the characteristics and way of building the characters of animals, especially the cat, then the dog, and to analyze the mutual communication of literary characters. With a brilliant storytelling style, linguistic expression, with the full support of imagination, Radičević created the novel The Learned Cat. It is a truly beautiful and imaginatively spun story about a cat who, after becoming a high school graduate, experiences unusual adventures in search of a vocation. He represented animals as heroes in almost all forms of prose for children – from stories, poetry, all the way to novels. While in his poetry animals appear less, mostly as an integral part of nature and serve to better describe it, in his prose works, especially in the analyzed work The Learned Cat, animals are the main characters who go through various events or whose function is to help the main character (in human form), but also pose a threat to the main character. This novel also shows the importance of emotions in people’s lives in general, how positive ones such as neighbourly love, empathy, compassion bring them pleasure, but how it is necessary to face the negative ones, such as fear, and overcome them.

Resumen
A vast body of literature has dealt with the challenges of creating the impression of human appearance and human-like motion in the animation of game characters. In this paper, we further refine these efforts by creating a flexible environment for animating game characters endowed with personality, which is a core descriptor of stable characteristics of human behavior and which is often expressed in human movement. We base our work on the Big Five personality traits, also known as OCEAN (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extroversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism). Our environment incorporates a procedural mapping from OCEAN personality traits to movement modifiers that alter existing motions in ways compatible with a desired personality. Using Amazon Mechanical Turk, we collected stereotypical personality profiles for 135 nationalities and 100 professions. We integrated these stereotypical personality expectations into an interactive interface in Unity3D. Users can linearly blend the nationality and profession OCEAN parameters and individually adjust them for specific characters or groups. The results are validated using Amazon Mechanical Turk pairwise judgments on character types based on movements.

Resumen
The English novelist Charles John Hoffman Dickens (1812-1870) is well known for scholars and students of English literature. His name is always accompanied to some( classics) in the history of the English novel such as: ( Oliver Twist( 1839), David Copperfield (1850), Hard Times ( 1854 ), The Tale of Two Cities ( 1859 )Great Expectations (1860) and other novels. He is one of the most professional novelists of the Victorian age; rather, he is regarded by many critics as the father of the realistic trend and the greatest novelist of his age. In his fiction, Dickens created some of the world's best-known fictional characters that became prototypes not only in English but in world literature as well. Oliver Twist presents a unique depiction of evil and good characters in English society through a highly serious and powerful conflict full of dramatic events like a traditional tragedy, but the line of action turns to satisfaction and happy end just like a work of comedy. This paper claims that the novelist employs the dramatic genre: Tragi-comedy into a novel by mixing elements of both tragedy and comedy. Although the action in the novel is highly tragic and full of miseries and evil plots, the novel ends happily.
