Certified librarians in Nigeria libraries must be proactive and come on board to adopt a new intellectualizes digital literacy as a required ability that an individual must compulsorily possess. Three objectives such as types digital literacy skills, how it acquires and challenges faced by certified librarians. The study employed a social survey technique of research with a questionnaire as the research instrument. The study was carried out using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) application software. The findings of this study show that the majority of certified librarians have digital literacy skills that they sponsor themselves for digital literacy training, and that some acquired digital literacy skills through trial and error among others. Certified librarians in Nigerian libraries to redouble their efforts in ensuring that these future librarians and scholars are well-trained to be digitally up-to-date in order to save the profession's future and contribute as much as possible to Nigeria's digital technology revival.

Purpose – The purpose of this research paper is to examine how Canadian Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified libraries are facilitating awareness about environmental sustainability to library users. Design/methodology/approach – Twenty-four Canadian LEED-certified libraries were surveyed regarding internal initiatives, and methods used to promote their certification and green building features to library users. Findings – The research found that the majority of Canadian LEED-certified libraries were incorporating a variety of internal initiatives and methods to highlight their LEED-certification to library users. The findings show the majority of these libraries were actively involved in creating awareness about this topic to library users. Originality/value – This research may provide valuable information for libraries wanting to incorporate initiatives that bring awareness to environmental sustainability, or for libraries wanting to use existing green building features to help leverage awareness and learning about this topic.

The study adopted the social survey technique and the population of the study comprised 452 certified librarians of Nigeria libraries that were certified by the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) on November, 24th, 2021. The librarians who took part in the survey were chosen using a random sampling method. One out of every three librarians being admitted on the day was given the questionnaire. The researcher used Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS version 20.0) application software with simple percentages chosen for easier analysis and interpretation. The findings of this study revealed that certified librarians are averagely aware of the existence of robotic technologies usage for library services and the anxiety of employee retrenchment is the major anxiety, despite they are aware that, the innovative apparatuses will increase global recognition and enhance library services. It shows that certified librarians are faced challenges towards the use of robotic technologies such as potential job loss, inadequate funding and epileptic among others. The study recommended that certified librarians should keep up with modern trends in information dissemination by learning fundamental skills that are technologically compatible among others.

AbstractWe report on an experience using the Coq proof assistant to develop a program verification tool with a machine-checked proof of full correctness. The verifier is able to prove memory safety of x86 machine code programs compiled from code that uses algebraic datatypes. The tool's soundness theorem is expressed in terms of the bit-level semantics of x86 programs, so its correctness depends on very few assumptions. We take advantage of Coq's support for programming with dependent types and modules in the structure of the development. The approach is based on developing a library of reusable functors for transforming a verifier at one level of abstraction into a verifier at a lower level. Using this library, it is possible to prototype a verifier based on a new type system with a minimal amount of work, while obtaining a very strong soundness theorem about the final product.

It contains around 180 units focused mostly on I/O, numerics, text manipulation, memory operations. We have used SPARK to prove the correctness of 40 of them: that the code is free of runtime errors, and that it satisfies its functional specifications.

The survey helped to identify the size of the community and explored the participant’s experiences associated with the dual skills sets. Results show there are strong benefits for those library workers who have their yoga certification, but there are also concerns and challenges that demonstrate a need for a more formal community and further research.

The University of Mississippi Library has digitized the Accounting Historians Journal from 1974 through 1992, cover-to-cover. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' gift of their library to the University of Mississippi was, fortuitously, the impetus for the AHJ digitizing project. A complicated chain of events followed which included discussions with the Academy of Accounting Historians for copyright permission, an application for a federal grant, negotiations with software vendors, and decisions about search capabilities and display formats. Each article in AHJ is now full-text searchable with accompanying PDF page images.

This article explores the Public Library of Science as a site that produces and disseminates open access scientific information and knowledge for the public good. Through this case study, issues of property ownership, the nature and political economy of biological information, scientific expertise and accessibility of information and scientific knowledge as a public good are considered. Drawing on a cultural industries perspective, I examine the various intermediaries and institutional arrangements that continue to impact and shape the production and dissemination of this open access knowledge. I suggest that Public Library of Science embodies a new mode for the social production of scholarly knowledge and its dissemination, with important implications for how scientific knowledge and expertise are created, certified and circulated.

Monitoring of the lineages SARS-CoV-2 is equally important in a fight against COVID-19 epidemics, as is regular RT - PCR testing. Ion AmpliSeq Library kit plus is a robust and validated protocol for library preparation, but certain optimizations for better sequencing results were required. Clinical SARS-CoV-2 samples were transported in three different viral transport mediums (VTM), on arrival at the testing lab, samples were stored on -20OC. Viral RNA isolation was done on an automatic extractor using a magnetic beads-based protocol. Screening for positive SARS-CoV-2 samples was performed on RT–PCR with IVD certified detection kit. This study aims to present results as follows: impact of first PCR cycle variation on library quantity, comparison of VTMs with a quantified library, maximum storage time of virus and correlation between used cDNA synthesis kit with generated target base coverage. Our results confirmed the adequacy of the three tested VTMs for SARS-CoV-2 whole-genome sequencing. Tested cDNA synthesis kits are valid for NGS library preparation and all kits give good quality cDNA uniformed in viral sequence coverage. Results of this report are useful for applicative scientists who work on SARS-CoV-2 whole-genome sequencing to compare and apply good laboratory practice for optimal preparation of the NGS library.

Bahwa wakaf untuk proyek jalan tol adalah peristiwa yang sudah sering terjadi di Indonesia dan hal tersebut menimbulkan persoalan dalam perspektif Hukum Islam, sehingga artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggali rumusan tentang hukum ruislag tanah wakaf yang berlaku di Indonesia dan pandangan Hukum Islam terhadap tanah wakaf belum bersertifikat yang terdampak proyek pembangunan jalan tol. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji tentang bagaimana ruislag tanah wakaf menurut hukum yang berlaku di Indonesia dan menjelaskan bagaimana ruislag tanah wakaf belum bersertifikat untuk proyek pembangunan jalan tol dalam perspektif Hukum Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara dokumentasi, kepustakaan dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penyebab terjadinya ruislag tanah wakaf di Indonesia disebabkan oleh 2 faktor, yaitu faktor kepentingan pihak tertentu dan faktor kepentingan umum. Ruislag tanah wakaf belum bersertifikat dalam perspektif Hukum Islam tetap sah dengan syarat dan rukun wakaf yang sudah terpenuhi. The endowment of land for toll road projects is a recurring event in Indonesia, and it raises legal issues from an Islamic perspective. Therefore, this article aims to explore the formulation of the law of ruislag tanah wakaf (the transfer of endowment land) in Indonesia and the Islamic perspective on non-certified endowment land affected by toll road construction projects, necessitating the application of ruislag. This research is conducted with the purpose of examining how ruislag tanah wakaf is regulated by the prevailing laws in Indonesia and non-certified endowment land for toll road development projects is viewed from the perspective of Islamic law. This study utilizes library research as a method, employing a normative juridical approach. Data collection techniques include documentation, literature review, and interviews. The findings of this research indicate that the occurrence of ruislag tanah wakaf in Indonesia is caused by two factors: specific interests and public interests. Non-certified ruislag tanah wakaf remains valid from the perspective of Islamic law, provided that the conditions and pillars of the endowment have been fulfilled.

For a long time the Institute for Austrian Historical Research provided the postgraduate studies for Austrian archivists which was the only way of archival science education. The professional training for archive, library and information assistance was established in 2006. The Association of Austrian Archivists installed a basic course which offers archival training for archivists of various archive categories. The certified basic course, which runs for ten years, has become a model of success.

The Bulk Synchronous Parallel ML (BSML) is a functional language for BSP programming, a model of computing which allows parallel programs to be ported to a wide range of architectures. It is based on an extension of the ML language by parallel operations on a parallel data structure called parallel vector, which is given by intention. We present a new approach to certifying BSML programs in the context of type theory. Given a specification and a program, an incomplete proof of the specification (of which algorithmic contents corresponds to the given program) is built in the type theory, in which gaps would correspond to the proof obligation. This development demonstrates the usefulness of higher-order logic in the process of software certification of parallel applications. It also shows that the proof of rather complex parallel algorithms may be done with inductive types without great difficulty by using existing certified programs. This work has been implemented in the Coq Proof Assistant, applied on non-trivial examples and is the basis of a certified library of BSML programs.

Background The usability of a digital library depends on a myriad of factors ranging from the end users’ ability to website complexity. Although digital libraries provide instant access to online content, offering an efficient reference platform, their usability is highly variable. Objective The aim of this study was to measure users’ perspectives and usability of the digital library of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). Methods A web-based questionnaire survey was conducted using a validated System Usability Scale (SUS) containing 5 positive and 5 negative items on the usability of the digital library. The SUS standard cut-off score of 68 was considered for interpretation. Results The overall mean SUS score of digital library usability was 52.9 (SD 15.2) with a grade “D” categorization, indicating low usability. The perceived measures of attributes of the 10 SUS items of findability, complexity, consistency, and confidence obtained below average scores. Only item 1 relating to perceived willingness to use the digital library frequently obtained a score above the targeted benchmark score (mean score 3.6). Higher SUS scores were associated with training (P=.02). Men felt the digital library to be more complex (P=.04) and board-certified physicians perceived a greater need for training on digital library use (P=.05). Only the UpToDate database was widely used (72/90, 80%). Conclusions These findings demonstrate the low usability of the extensive facilities offered by the SCFHS digital library. It is pivotal to improve awareness of the availability of the digital library and popularize the databases. There is also a need for improved user training to enhance the accessibility and usability of the multiple databases.

Purpose. Instead of original abutments, compatible abutments are often selected for financial reasons. The present study aimed to evaluate mechanical outcomes, microleakage, and marginal accuracy at the implant-abutment interface of original versus nonoriginal implant abutments. Study Selection. Search strategy encompassed literature from 1967 up to March 2017 to identify relevant studies meeting the inclusion criteria. The following electronic databases were consulted: PubMed database of the U.S. National Library of Medicine, Embase (Excerpta Medica dataBASE), and the Grey Literature Database (New York Academy of Medicine Grey Literature Report). Quality assessment of the full-text articles selected was performed. Abutments were classified in original (produced by the same implant manufacturer), nonoriginal certified (produced by a third-party milling center, certified by implant companies), and nonoriginal compatible (produced by a third-party milling center for similar connections). Results. A total of 16 articles fulfilled inclusion criteria and quality assessment and were selected for the qualitative analysis. All of the included studies were in vitro research with high or moderate risk of bias and reported data from 653 implant abutments. Original and nonoriginal certified abutments showed better results in terms of mechanical outcomes, microleakage, and marginal accuracy compared to nonoriginal compatible abutments. Conclusions. Following the clear warnings coming from the present systematic review, clinical suggestions regarding the effect of a nonoriginal abutment can be drawn. However, in vivo, long-term, randomized controlled trials are needed to provide definitive clinical conclusion about the long-term clinical outcomes of original and nonoriginal abutments.

This paper investigates digital preservation challenges in Nigerian libraries. In carrying out this study four research questions were posed. The study sample population comprised of 172 participants at the 2nd Conference of Certified Librarians from various libraries and institutions across Nigeria, organised by the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) in Abuja on the 11th – 16th October, 2015. The outcome of the study revealed that digital preservation challenges persist despite the awareness of digital preservation strategies by librarians in Nigerian libraries. The findings revealed major challenges facing digital preservation, such as hardware and software obsolesces, lack of training, lack of backup and standards, lack of strategy policy, lack of funds, lukewarm attitude among the librarians and lack of legal right to preservation of content. Recommendations were made to protect and safeguard digital preservation challenges in the libraries, including the recommendation that the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), University management and Library stakeholders should create a standard policy, provide needed skills for the librarians, lobby government for more funds and ensure that funds allocated to the libraries are properly utilised for effective digitization of library resources for future use.

Open data and data management policies that call for the long-term storage and accessibility of data are becoming more and more commonplace in the research community. With it the need for trustworthy data repositories to store and disseminate data is growing. CoreTrustSeal, a community based and non-profit organisation, offers data repositories a core level certification based on the DSA-WDS Core Trustworthy Data Repositories Requirements catalogue and procedures. This universal catalogue of requirements reflects the core characteristics of trustworthy data repositories. Core certification involves an uncomplicated process whereby data repositories supply evidence that they are sustainable and trustworthy. A repository first conducts an internal self-assessment, which is then reviewed by community peers. Once the self-assessment is found adequate the CoreTrustSeal board certifies the repository with a CoreTrustSeal. The Seal is valid for a period of three years. Being a certified repository has several external and internal benefits. It for instance improves the quality and transparency of internal processes, increases awareness of and compliance with established standards, builds stakeholder confidence, enhances the reputation of the repository, and demonstrates that the repository is following good practices. It is also offering a benchmark for comparison and helps to determine the strengths and weaknesses of a repository. In the future we foresee a larger uptake through different domains, not in the least because within the European Open Science Cloud, the FAIR principles and therefore also the certification of trustworthy digital repositories holding data is becoming increasingly important. Next to that the CoreTrustSeal requirements will most probably become a European Technical standard which can be used in procurement (under review by the European Commission).

ABSTRACT Since the 1936 founding of the Society of American Archivists, the archival field has struggled with the challenges inhering in professionalization, namely the merits or demerits of institutional or individual accreditation or certification. In 1989, SAA helped establish the Academy of Certified Archivists (ACA), which confers individual certification by written examination. In 1993, ACA modified its bylaws to require graduate education to be eligible for the exam. But, although a relationship clearly exists between certification and education, scholars have not explored, much less profited from, the insights of archival educators. This qualitative case study uses semistructured interviews with thirty-three tenure-track or tenured faculty program directors from graduate archival programs across North America to understand how educators perceive and address certification. Findings reveal that educators are ambivalent about certification, its relationship to graduate education, and its vocational value. The authors discuss the implications of these findings and offer suggestions for research and practice.

Abstract BACKGROUND In neuro-oncology clinical trials, pharmacodynamic (PD) analysis of tumor tissue before and after experimental therapy is challenging. Today, Phase 0 studies in brain tumor patients typically employ archival tissue from a prior resection as the baseline PD comparator. However, the time-interval between tissue acquisitions can be months to years and often includes confounding exposure to other therapies. Here, we demonstrate the feasibility of a pre-treatment, single-pass stereotactic needle biopsy to support CLIA-certified genetic screening and tumor PD analysis in a Phase 0/2 clinical trial. METHODS In support of an ongoing Phase 0/2 ‘trigger’ trial testing CDK4/6 plus ERK1/2 inhibition in recurrent glioblastoma (GBM), a single-pass stereotactic biopsy was completed in select patients prior to enrollment. Each biopsy yields six tissue cores for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and genetic characterization. Using CLIA-certified protocols, genomic DNA (gDNA) was extracted from two cores, followed by library preparation and next-generation sequencing of a customized panel of 37 genes (IvySeq). In the four remaining cores, IHC staining was performed for RB, pRB, pERK, pS6, CDKN2A, MIB-1, ClCas-3 and pH2AX. RESULTS Single-pass stereotactic needle biopsies were collected from five recurrent GBM patients. No intraoperative, perioperative, or radiographic evidence of morbidity was observed. 800-2400ng of gDNA was isolated from each stereotactic biopsy. IvySeq analysis detected CDKN2A deletion, ATRX loss, and mutations in IDH, PTEN and TP53 genes. Based on IHC and genetic analyses of the biopsied samples, three patients were enrolled into the Phase 0/2 clinical trial and baseline value were used for PD analysis. CONCLUSION Single-pass stereotactic needle biopsy is a feasible and safe strategy to collect pre-treatment tissue in support of a Phase 0 clinical trial, enabling CLIA-certified genetic analysis for trial screening and tumor PD analysis.

Purpose The slogan “Go Green” has been embraced by a range of organizations including businesses and universities in recent decades. Within higher education academic libraries, as a key service unit in their parent institution, have an important role to play in supporting this mission. The authors have seen many academic libraries strive to “Go green” by designing a green library, whether a new build or renovation. The paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach This paper discusses how the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Library formulates, develops and implements its green strategy and how the strategy has gradually reshaped its services. First, the authors consider how the concept of sustainability has affected services provided by academic libraries, and why green strategies are a practical and feasible approach. The authors then use CUHK Library as a case study, siting the development of its green strategies in the context of, the University’s approach to sustainability and the wider CUHK community, and ultimately the Library’s overall strategic plan. The third section describes how the library implements its green strategies in different areas, from the daily operation of library offices and services offered to users, to the planning of a library extension and broader sustainability initiatives. Issues of evaluation are discussed and the authors conclude the paper with future plans. Findings There are very few academic libraries in the USA that are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified. Originality/value The authors argue that pursuing a green building may not be the strategic focus for many academic libraries. In taking a more holistic approach to sustainability through practical measures, academic libraries need to formulate and develop wider green strategies beyond a green building. “Go Green” impacts not only the attitudes towards the environment but also changes the way academic libraries serve their users and community.

Sharia fintech assets fell -0.42 percent, and players fell 10 percent. Certified halal products 2021 grew 2,531.49 percent. Spending on halal industry food sector is 77.23 total other. Linked between sharia banking and sharia fintech support halal industry, funding business development is provided. Payment instruments can synergize requiring use sharia bank account. Librarians serve as defenders of intellectual freedom and social responsibility, and this includes speaking out against censorship. Censorship of information, materials, and books occurs in the public, but censorship can also occur in libraries themselves. Those impacted the most by this censorship are marginalized communities, such as the LGBTQ+ community. The purpose of this paper is to explore how internal, external and institutional censorship affects the LGBTQ+ community and what librarians can do to uphold their defense against censorship. Internal, or self-censorship, occurs at the librarian level where LGBTQ+ materials may be hidden by librarians or library staff or simply not ordered due to pressure from the community the library serves. External censorship occurs at the community level where the community culture pushes for the censorship of LGBTQ+ materials. Lastly, institutional censorship occurs at the classification level where classification models such as the Dewey Decimal System or subject headings may not provide accurate representation for LGBTQ+ materials. In order to put an end to these forms of censorship, trained and certified librarians must act as agents of change, committing to their due diligence to provide information to all members of their communities.

AbstractThe application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the areas of health, care and social participation offers great opportunities but also involves great challenges. Extensive regulatory, ethical and data-security related requirements exist for data recording, storage and processing of respective personalized and patient-related data. “Artificial Intelligence as a Service” (AIaaS) is pushed for consumer applications by global players, which implies data storage on external database server. However, the available solutions do not meet the requirements. Moreover, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of healthcare fear the loss of data sovereignty and information outflow. In this paper, we propose a secure and resource-efficient approach by embedding AI directly close to the sensor in combination with secure and distributed data processing on local server or certified “Trusted Data Center”. For this purpose, we have developed the Artificial Intelligence for Embedded Systems (AIfES) platform-independent machine learning library in C programming language. It contains a fully configurable deep artificial neural network with feedforward structure. The library can be run directly on a microcontroller and even allows to train the neural network. Possible healthcare applications include direct (pre-) processing of sensor data, sensor calibration, pattern recognition and classification.

Many LEED certified libraries publicize a list of the green technologies used in their building projects. Some sponsor programs related to the green building and include permanent displays in the library to explain how the technology works. The Fayetteville Public Library went beyond these basic techniques to not only improve the sustainability of their operations but also become a community test bed for a renewable energy project.Originality/valueThis paper sheds light on how building projects can be used not only to educate the public about green technologies and practices, but also inspire others to begin using similar techniques at home, at work, and in the community.

Education is a communication process that involves transforming knowledge, values, and skills both inside, and outside the school. Education is one of the compulsory guarantees of education and is provided by the central government to the local government. Ministries of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology established a free learning policy (MBKM), and one of the programs on MSIB policy is a certified internship and independent study (MSIB). This program provides an opportunity for students to have off-campus learning experiences for a semester or two. The study uses qualitative methods, and the data analysis techniques used in the study are the methods for library research. In this case, an alternative policy would be a policy recommendation with an alternative policy recommendation of MSIB programs capable of producing both hard skills and soft skills students acquired from followed activities and implemented programs running optimally.

This exploratory study assessed the self-management learning needs, experiences, and perspectives of COPD patients treated at a Certified Federal Rural Health Clinic to inform the development of a COPD self-management DVD. A purposive, homogeneous sample of COPD patients participated in focus group interviews. Data from these interviews were referenced to edit a library of Rvision COPD self-management DVDs into a single condensed DVD containing only the most pertinent self-management topics. Patients reported a lack of knowledge and skill development related to purse lipped breathing, controlled coughing, and stress management; while medication management skills were found to be quite adequate. Engaging rural communities in formal qualitative inquiries to describe COPD specific needs for self-management may lead to future use of educational technologies aimed at improving quality of life for these rural, hard to reach populations.

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) consisting of interfacial two- and three-dimensional heterostructures that incorporate ammonium ligand intercalation have enabled rapid progress toward the goal of uniting performance with stability. However, as the field continues to seek ever-higher durability, additional tools that avoid progressive ligand intercalation are needed to minimize degradation at high temperatures. We used ammonium ligands that are nonreactive with the bulk of perovskites and investigated a library that varies ligand molecular structure systematically. We found that fluorinated aniliniums offer interfacial passivation and simultaneously minimize reactivity with perovskites. Using this approach, we report a certified quasi–steady-state power-conversion efficiency of 24.09% for inverted-structure PSCs. In an encapsulated device operating at 85°C and 50% relative humidity, we document a 1560-hour T 85 at maximum power point under 1-sun illumination.

The article is devoted to the analysis of information literacy programmes developed by libraries of higher education institutions in Hong Kong and Ukraine. The application of such theoretical and empirical methods as an analysis of sources, the method of external observation over the foreign and Ukrainian experience of the information literacy programmes developing, as well as a prognostic method for summarising, allowed to reveal similarities and differences in the content and forms of information literacy programmes implemented at Hong Kong and Ukrainian universities. Different stages of implementation of information literacy programmes by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Library during the last two decades are highlighted. The content of information literacy programmes provided by the libraries of 4 Ukrainian universities in general and the scientific library of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUCaA), in particular, is reviewed. It has been found out such similar characteristics of information literacy programmes of libraries that were analysed as using of traditional forms (lectures, practical exercises, instructions, video lessons) to form the skills and abilities for the effective information search, analytical processing, organisation, evaluation, and use of this information. It has been found out that, unlike Hong Kong, the introduction of certified and online information literacy courses by Ukrainian universities libraries is isolated cases. There is also no experience in testing students’ knowledge before studies of information literacy. Testing is usually done after completing the information literacy programmes, but these tests are not mandatory and only recommended. The authors hope that the experience of the CUHK Library (Hong Kong) in the implementation of the “Immersion Programme”, the UGCIL project, and InfoLit for U will be useful for the Ukrainian scientific library community, considering that libraries of higher education institutions in Ukraine have also started to develop similar programmes and modules. In particular, the interactive online guide “Music Documents in the KNUCaA Scientific Library” is an example of a modern approach to the formation of first-year students’ information literacy, their acquaintance with the scientific library, its services, and resources, basic types of documents, an electronic search algorithm.

This study aims to present evaluation methods that can evaluate thermal comfort reflecting traditional values of the vernacular architecture in Korea called Hanok, especially focused on modernized public facilities. For this purpose, representative vertically-sectional structures of Hanok has been categorized by the spatial configuration used for public buildings such as school, museum, library and so on. Next, a comfort assessment index was derived to evaluate the spatial comfort performance of Hanok especially with certified domestic standards and indices. Then, predicted mean vote (PMV) has further been selected as the method for the thermal assessment for their interior spaces. As a result, the surrounding conditions showed the least influence on the Hanok comfort and the adjacency type mostly affected the performance of thermal control in the aspects of the habitual sustainability. Finally, Hanok designs could positively be considered and utilized by surroundings and adjacency types that have the most advantages in terms of thermal environment.

This study aims to find out how the application of the Multi Level Marketing Business system is applied to paytren, whether the practice in the field is in accordance with established sharia. The research method used in this case is library research and field research, with a qualitative descriptive research approach that is deductive in nature. Researchers used sources such as books, theses, articles, and conducted interviews with paytren business users. This study also uses a normative and comparative approach. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the paytren business that uses a multi-level marketing system that has been certified by sharia in practice has many deviations both by its customers and by the system itself. The implementation of Paytren's multi-level sharia marketing is carried out in an unfair way, that is, whoever has subordinates or partners will also receive bonuses when their partners transact without having to work. In practice, paytren contains elements of usury, gharar and dzulm.

Abstract BACKGROUND: RNA-based predictive biomarkers are not assessed in the clinical diagnostic setting. Potential biomarkers include long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), a class of molecules emerging as critical regulators of diverse cellular functions, including therapy resistance. Advances in sequencing technologies have made whole transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) possible in formalin fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue. In this study, we assessed the feasibility of detecting lncRNAs in clinical FFPE specimens, using clinical grade RNA-seq technology offered at a CLIA-certified laboratory. Our second aim was to investigate expression of lncRNAs contributing to endocrine resistance in a cohort of metastatic breast cancer patients. METHODS: RNA-seq was performed on clinical FFPE specimens as a physician-ordered diagnostic test in a CLIA-certified laboratory. RNA-seq libraries were constructed using ribosomal RNA depletion method and > 100 M reads were sequenced for each library. We checked for contaminating sequences using fastqScreen against multiple genomes, including human and E. coli among others. To assess the quality of the sequencing libraries, we used the nf-core RNASeq pipeline. Trimmed reads were mapped to the GRCh38 reference and abundance of transcripts from the Gencode comprehensive annotation (v33) was estimated. Each library was assessed for quality control (QC). Mapped reads were merged into a matrix of counts per gene for each sample. Differential expression was assessed between metastatic breast cancers with and without endocrine resistance. RESULTS: We obtained twenty-five cases (23 patients) of ER-positive, HER2 negative metastatic breast carcinoma that had undergone whole transcriptome sequencing at a CLIA-certified molecular laboratory. Of these, 6 (24%) cases had failed QC: 5 patients’ specimens had low RNA content (all core biopsies); 1 patient had total RNA content comprised of less than 75% human reads (lumpectomy). The mean age for specimens that failed sequencing QC was significantly different from those that passed (637.2 days vs 193.7 days, t-test, p = 0.04). After QC, a total of 19 cases were analyzed for differentially expressed lncRNA profiles. Of these, 5 cases were clinically annotated as hormone sensitive; 14 cases had acquired secondary hormone resistance. Thirty-six lncRNAs were identified as differentially expressed (7 antisense; 25 intergenic; 3 intronic; 1 sense-overlapping). Of these, lncRNAs which were found to be over-expressed in endocrine resistant tumors compared to endocrine sensitive tumors are involved in various oncogenic pathways such as cell cycle regulation (Linc0051, MIR205HG, ST8SOA6-AS1), tumor progression (LINC00885, LINC00319), and chemoresistance (SIRLNT). LncRNAs which were downregulated in endocrine resistant tumors compared to endocrine sensitive tumors are involved in stem cell state (CCDC144NL.AS1) and endocrine resistance (MIR2052HG). CONCLUSION: It is feasible to detect lncRNA biomarkers in clinical FFPE tissue specimens, using a laboratory-developed RNA sequencing pipeline in a CLIA-certified genomic laboratory. FFPE-RNA-seq pipeline can potentially expand the molecular information that could be gleamed from clinical FFPE specimens to answer pertinent clinical questions, such as therapy resistance. The work is devoted to one of the most important scientific and technical problems in reactor physics related to the development and verification of codes and nuclear data that provide reliable and highly accurate calculations of neutron-physical characteristics of fast reactors and radiation shielding, including nuclear fuel cycle, criticality and radiation safety parameters. The designed neutronics characteristics of fast reactors should be based on certified, qualified sets of codes and nuclear constants: the calculation tools should be related to the modern state of scientific knowledge and computational techniques, and used nuclear physics constants should be adequate to the most reliable evaluations of nuclear data. In connection with rapid development of the computing engineering and all greater introduction in practice of calculation Monte Carlo codes, the methodical constituent of calculation error falls down substantially. In these terms the nuclear constant’s constituent of error of calculations becomes fully qualificatory. A situation is intensifyed by the fall-off of financing of experimental works, why in this connection the amount of fast critical stands in the world diminishes sharply. The paper consider the state of art of the constant’s providing system CONSYST/ABBN, created on the basis of the national library of neutron data files ROSFOND and libraries of multigroup constants ABBN-93 and ABBN-RF. One of the most important problems under consideration here also is the methodical and software for estimating of errors of the calculated physical characteristics. System of codes and nuclear data for reactor neutronics calculations is based on the unified methodological basis that ensures the transparency of the procedure for obtaining the data used in the calculations, the reliability of their verification and the obtaining of guaranteed accuracy of the calculated physical reactor characteristics.

The introduction of knowledge management into the library and information science curriculum comes with some implications that bordered on how knowledge management is being taught and represented in the curriculum design for LIS education. The investigation was carried out from the viewpoint of LIS community in Nigeria using a web-based survey questionnaire and interview. Certified librarians in Nigeria constitute the unit of analysis; their population stood at 6,504, and only 369 participants completed the survey, followed by interviews with five professors from library schools in Nigeria. The result from findings indicated that from the six variables raised on the implications of knowledge management on library and information science education, only two variables score above the Mean Variable Score (X=3.98) benchmark, the need for KM competencies to be fully integrated into the LIS curriculum score the highest mean score (X=4.46), followed by the need for the LIS curriculum to keep changing to accommodate new development in KM. It also manifested in the study that the current curriculum did not adequately equip LIS professionals for knowledge management practice. More so, knowledge management can be treated as a separate course on its own and as well be integrated into the existing library and information science courses. From the seven knowledge management concepts and themes raised, only four variables score above the Mean Variable Score (X=4.32) benchmark, interpersonal relationship leads the pact with a mean score (X=4.39), followed by research and evaluation with a mean score (X=4.38), knowledge management tools, technics and technologies with a mean score (X=4.36) and lastly leadership and managerial role with a mean score (X=4.35). Also from the four variables raised on responsibilities of LIS schools, two of the variables score above the Mean Variable Score (X=4.4) benchmark, need for LIS schools to train and retrain LIS educators score the highest mean score (X=4.45) followed by the need for LIS schools to collaborate with other allied disciplines in the design and training of LIS professionals for KM with a mean score (X=4.4). This implies that effective training and education for KM calls for cooperation and collaboration among different academic units.

Based on the current scientific understanding regarding COVID-19, this article presents the results of new studies (Tests 4, 5, 6), conducted by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC), in partnership with Battelle. The purpose of the experiments is to determine how long frequently circulated library, museum and archival materials should be quarantined before being put back into public circulation.Each test has been conducted by applying the virulent SARS-CoV-2 virus on various materials held at standard room temperature and relative humidity conditions, and then examining the rate of natural attenuation of the virus. The items were not sterilized before testing. Battelle propagated the clinical isolate of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in-house, followed by characterization and testing to establish a certified titer. The materials in Test 4 included binding and cover items placed in a stacked configuration to imitate the common practice that libraries employ when handling book/DVD returns, as well as expanded polyethylene foam, which is typically used in museums for storage and shipping. Test 5 focused on textiles, while Test 6 included building materials (glass, marble, brass, laminate, and powder-coated steel). Test coupons cut from the materials were inoculated with active virus, and then allowed to dry. The test coupons were then examined at the following timepoints: on the second, third, fourth and sixth day (Test 4); on the second, fourth, sixth and eighth day (Tests 5 and 6). The results of the tests showed how much virus was detectable at the selected timepoints. In Test 4, the virus was still detected on all the five materials after six days. In Test 5, the virus was still detected on leather and synthetic leather publication after eight days. The BBG is a facility of the City of Birmingham Park and Recreation Board and operates as a coalition of the City's professional staff and resources as well as those of the Botanical Society (Friends), Alabama Cooperative Extension System (both groups maintaining offices at the BBG), 2 local community colleges, 12 specialized plant societies (that aid in the maintenance of collections), 100+ garden clubs, numerous related groups, and a strong community support. Current discussions with the University of Alabama in Birmingham will lead to certified programs at the Gardens. There are no formal contracts but informal agreements that are formed for each project. The Society sponsored the 1980 Master Plan and updates it every 10 years, employs a professional educator, and sponsors numerous special activities and programs, many in conjunction with the previously mentioned groups. Internships are hired and paid through the City. Students are rotated weekly through the various operations of the Gardens, including administration, education, taxonomy, and the Library. A special project is done in the area of interest to the student.

Traditional halal culinary is a culinary that needs to be developed because traditional halal culinary needs encouragement, because the culinary business is very promising. The purpose of this research is to find out how traditional halal culinary opportunities can survive and a good strategy so that traditional halal culinary can compete with today's modern culinary. It can be seen that the culinary business still has high resilience and is growing rapidly, especially food that is labeled and certified halal. Culinary is one of the characteristics of the identity of a region and most regions in Indonesia have it. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, namely by conducting a library research method. The results of this study are to produce an understanding that traditional halal culinary has opportunities in developing its business today, and has several strategies that can develop traditional halal culinary businesses that can compete with modern culinary arts today. The strategy used is the 7P marketing mix strategy and digital strategy.
