Resumen
Using digitised pictures of the pronotum, we investigated the influence of nematomorph and mermithid parasites on the expression (intensity and fluctuating asymmetry) of cuticular ornamentation in the cave weta, Pleioplectron simplex. Because P. simplex is nocturnal, this ornamentation is probably not subject to strong directional or stabilising selection. Based on measurements of brightness, we found no significant difference in the amount of pigmented area between unparasitised and parasitised males or females. Parasitised individuals were not significantly more asymmetrical than unparasitised ones. This result was not due to measurement error. Among parasitised wetas, brightness and the fluctuating asymmetry were not related to the length of the parasite, even when the size of the host was taken into account. These results are discussed in relation to current ideas concerning the influence of parasites on fluctuating asymmetry of traits in the host.

Resumen
The New Zealand Rhaphidophoridae Walker, 1869 comprise 18 endemic genera (including 8 that are monotypic). Although there are many new species to be described, rationalisation at the genus level is also required due to inconsistencies in their current systematics. Even the largest and best known taxa, including those that occupy cave systems and are the most frequently encountered by people, require taxonomic revision. These cave weta include species assigned to three poorly differentiated genera, Pachyrhamma Brunner v. Wattenwyl, 1888, Gymnoplectron Hutton, 1897 and Turbottoplectron Salmon, 1948, that are best known from North Island New Zealand. We used mitochondrial DNA sequence data to examine their relationships using representatives of each genus. The results indicate that a single genus Pachyrhamma would be appropriate for all, as Gymnoplectron and Turbottoplectron nest phylogenetically within it. There are insufficient morphological, spatial or ecological reasons to justify retention of all three. However, we also note that species level diversity does not correlate with genetic or spatial diversity; some species are genetically well partitioned and widespread while others have narrow ranges in single cave systems and are closely related to one another.

Resumen
We investigated how North Island Weka Gallirallus australis greyi could be conserved in situ at East Cape, New Zealand using banded and radiotransmitter-carrying Weka to measure home range size and use, reproduction and mortality. We fitted radiotransmitters to 28 Weka with 75% of the subsequent fixes from 18 birds being obtained at intervals of < 4 days. Home ranges of 10 males had an estimated median size of 10.6 ha, while 5 female home ranges had an estimated median size of 3.5 ha. Home ranges of individuals of both sexes overlapped. Within their home ranges, Weka preferred bush relative to pasture and may have preferred pines to pasture. Weka did not significantly prefer bush to pines. Breeding occurred year-round, with a summer peak, but 11 breeding pairs raised only four chicks to independence in two years. The causes of egg and chick mortality could not be established, but predators killed six adults, motor vehicles killed six and one adult died in a trap. Measurements of body size revealed that a male-biased sex ratio was likely (67:33). We concluded that the recovery of the North Island Weka population in the East Cape region will require improving reproductive success and decreasing predation on adults. We recommend that managers focus on predator removal and habitat creation in future.

Resumen
(1) Background: molecular tumor boards (MTBs) are crucial instruments for discussing and allocating targeted therapies to suitable cancer patients based on genetic findings. Currently, limited evidence is available regarding the regional impact and the outreach component of MTBs; (2) Methods: we analyzed MTB patient data from four neighboring Bavarian tertiary care oncology centers in Würzburg, Erlangen, Regensburg, and Augsburg, together constituting the WERA Alliance. Absolute patient numbers and regional distribution across the WERA-wide catchment area were weighted with local population densities; (3) Results: the highest MTB patient numbers were found close to the four cancer centers. However, peaks in absolute patient numbers were also detected in more distant and rural areas. Moreover, weighting absolute numbers with local population density allowed for identifying so-called white spots—regions within our catchment that were relatively underrepresented in WERA MTBs; (4) Conclusions: investigating patient data from four neighboring cancer centers, we comprehensively assessed the regional impact of our MTBs. The results confirmed the success of existing collaborative structures with our regional partners. Additionally, our results help identifying potential white spots in providing precision oncology and help establishing a joint WERA-wide outreach strategy.

Resumen
The purpose of this research is to find out the factors causing dynastic politics and the impact of dynastic politics on village leadership for community development in Cileunyi Wetan Village, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and study documentation. Dynasty politics is a process of regenerating power for the interests of the political elite that aims to maintain power by placing their families or relatives in certain positions in the field of government. The practice of dynastic politics in the village of Cileunyi Wetan was an attempt to maintain power by the village head's family for several periods. The relationship between the village head and the former village head was uncle and father, who still had influence in the community. The dynasty in the village leadership in the village of Cileunyi Wetan was caused by the strength of capital (economy), the strength of family networks, and the existence of unhealthy democratic practices. The dynastic political impact of village leadership on community development in the village of Cileunyi Wetan is the control of economic resources in the village by a group of people, and the existence of nepotism in the recruitment of village government officials.

Resumen
Densities of the North Island Weka (Gallirallus australis greyi) have declined over much of the East Cape region since 1985. The area around Motu township had densities exceeding 0.72 ha-1 in 1985-86, but they disappeared by 1990 and have increased only marginally since. The decline coincided with floods and the spread of ferrets (Mustela furo) into the valley. The only region where Weka density increased is in the hills between Motu and Opotiki Counts in the Toatoa and Whitikau Valleys in 1995 found a maximum density of 0.60 adult Weka ha-1 in mixed farmland and fern, and between 0.08 – 0.18 ha-1 in mature forest. There are less than 1,000 adults in the centre of this region, and in some areas the population is male-dominated.

Resumen
Climate-smart agricultural technological innovations have the potential to reduce climate change impacts on agriculture. Due to several barriers, their current rate of adoption and diffusion is low. Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have the potential to facilitate technology development and dissemination to smallholder farmers. The aim of this paper is to examine the role of the water efficient maize for Africa (WEMA) project in enhancing technology adoption by smallholder farmers in South Africa. This study explores how PPPs enhance technology adoption and highlights the challenges faced within PPPs using WEMA case. A critical analysis, involving iterative process helped to construct a comprehensive narrative. We found that disputed outcomes, stakeholder concerns, shortage of seeds, disinclination of local companies to market new seeds, upkeep of previous relationships, contractual arrangements and high level of expertise and skills required from farmers were the main factors that affected the efficacy and impact of WEMA on the targeted output and beneficiaries.

Resumen
Wetu Telu is a syncretism of belief prevalent in West Lombok region. Danghyang Dwijendra from Daha in East Java region is regarded as the founder of the Watu Telu cult. He came to the Island of Lombok to teach enlightenment. One of the Ashram where he developed Hindu teaching and religion was Suranadi, a beautiful holy place. That Ashram was encircled by holy water, which currently can still be used by the Hindu devotees in performing their sacred sacrifice (yajnya). This study is aimed at knowing social and religious aspects of Wetu Telu as cultural heritage. The data is obtained through literature review and in-depth interview with public figures. From the data analysis, it is obtained that the history and social background of the Sasak people who inhabit the island is a mix of ethnic groups and culture. With this background, Wetu Telu which is also the syncretism of Hindu, Buddha, Islam, and local culture has a composite nature by taking only important matters without leaving its original teaching. Wetu Telu is considered to be Lombok Hindu teaching; and Wetu Telu is as inseparable part of holy pilgrimage (dharma yatra) of Danghyang Nirartha to Lombok in giving enlightenment and spiritual happiness to the people of Lombok. With the existence of Wetu Telu, a new culture and identity is built. The interaction amongst different culture, religion, and ancestral custom stimulates the emergence of a new culture as a part of diffusion process, acculturation, and cultural adaptation in literature, art, as well as theology.

Resumen
This study presents a distributed system using RAY, K-means clustering, and Weka software to analyze clinical data from Almasara Hospital Group in Tripoli, Libya. The goal is to reduce patient risk and healthcare costs by providing daily feedback to hospital staff. The system utilizes a dataset containing information on 560 patients, including details like patient ID, gender, doctor ID, test IDs, medication, and a binary target variable. By implementing K-means clustering in Weka, the system categorizes patients and identifies patterns to reduce risks and costs for healthcare analytics. The study first reviews existing patient care and feedback practices and then details the implementation of the daily feedback system, which involves advanced data analysis for managing patient feedback and medical data continuously. The use of K-means clustering helps segment patient data, pinpointing specific risk factors and areas for improvement. Weka software aids in the in-depth analysis of these segments, leading to actionable insights. Results show significant improvements in patient outcomes, reduced hospital-acquired infections, and medication errors, and enhanced patient satisfaction scores. Moreover, the study notes a substantial decrease in overall healthcare costs due to more efficient resource allocation and lower hospital readmission rates. This integration of daily feedback with advanced data analysis tools like K-means and Weka emerges as an effective strategy for improving patient safety and operational efficiency in healthcare settings, demonstrating the value of data-driven decision-making and providing a scalable model for other hospitals aiming to enhance patient care and cost management.

This study evaluated the performance of national seed systems of five countries in eastern and southern Africa where a consortium of public-private organizations are implementing the Water Efficient Maize for Africa (WEMA) project. WEMA aimed at developing and deploying drought-tolerant and insect-pest-protected maize hybrids (climate-smart hybrids) to smallholder farmers royalty-free. The objectives of the study were to assess the main components of the seed maize systems, their institutional frameworks, and estimate the potential demand for WEMA climate-smart hybrid maize seed to guide in upscaling the seed technology to other African countries. Primary data was gathered from key experts in the seed maize value-chain of each country. Secondary data came from national statistics bureaux to estimate the potential demand for WEMA seed maize. Results showed that farmers in all five countries except South Africa overwhelming rely on the informal seed system. The formal seed system is over-regulated creating unnecessary delays in the release and commercialization of improved seed varieties. It also increases the cost of developing new seed technology. Except South Africa, the demand for seed maize in the other four WEMA countries will grow by 4.1% annually from 31,614 to 35,863 metric tons of certified seed over 2014-2020 period. The study advances several recommendations to improve the efficiency of the seed maize systems, which when implemented, will undoubtedly improve food security in Africa.</p>

Resumen
A database can consist of numerical and non-numerical attributes. However, several data processing algorithms, such as K-means clustering, can be used only in a dataset with numerical attributes. Data generalization by using Naïve Bayes and K-means clustering methods is usually employed WEKA (Waikato environment for knowledge analysis) application. Although the strength of WEKA lies in increasingly complete and sophisticated algorithms, the success of data mining still lies in the knowledge factor of the human implementer. The task of collecting high-quality data and knowledge of modeling and the use of appropriate algorithms is needed to guarantee the accuracy of the expected formulations. In this paper, we propose a simple web-based application that can be used like WEKA. The methodology used in this study includes several stages. The first stage is the preparation of data, which is the tic-tac-toe game dataset that is converted to CSV (comma-separated values) format. The next stage is the process of modifying data from non-numeric to numeric, specifically for clustering with the K-means algorithm. Afterward, the calculation of the distance between data is conducted and followed by data clustering. The final stage is the summary of these processes and results. From the experimental results, it was found that clustering can be done on categorical attributes that are transformed first into the numerical form using web-based applications.

Resumen
Onsite greywater reuse (GWR) and installation of water-efficient toilets (WETs) reduce urban freshwater demand and thus enhance urban water use sustainability. Research on GWR and WETs has generally overlooked their potential effects on municipal sewer systems: GWR and WETs affect the flow regime in sewers, and consequently also influence gross solids transport. To asses these impacts, a gross solids transport model was developed. The model is based on approaches found in the literature. Hydrodynamic calculations of sewage flow were performed using the SIMBA6 simulator and then used for the gross solid movement models. Flow characteristics in the up- and downstream sections of the sewer network differ. Therefore different approaches were used to model solids movement in each of these two parts. Each model determines whether a solid moves as a result of a momentary sewage flow, and if it moves, calculation of its velocity is possible. The paper shows the adoption and implementation of two gross solids transport models using SIMBA6 and depicts the results of the effects of various GWR and WET scenarios on gross solids movement in sewers for a real case study in Israel.

Resumen
We propose to perform wearable sensors-based human physical activity recognition. This is further extended to an Internet-of-Things (IoT) platform which is based on a web-based application that integrates wearable sensors, smartphones, and activity recognition. To this end, a smartphone collects the data from wearable sensors and sends it to the server for processing and recognition of the physical activity. We collect a novel data set of 13 physical activities performed both indoor and outdoor. The participants are from both the genders where their number per activity varies. During these activities, the wearable sensors measure various body parameters via accelerometers, gyroscope, magnetometers, pressure, and temperature. These measurements and their statistical are then represented in features vectors that used to train and test supervised machine learning algorithms (classifiers) for activity recognition. On the given data set, we evaluate a number of widely known classifiers such random forests, support vector machine, and many others using the WEKA machine learning suite. Using the default settings of these classifiers in WEKA, we attain the highest overall classification accuracy of 90%. Consequently, such a recognition rate is encouraging, reliable, and effective to be used in the proposed platform.

Resumen
<em>Air pollution was influenced by meteorological condition. Atmospheric stability and wind are very important meteorological factors such as solar radiation, temperature, relative humidity, wind and its stability. This study analyzes the influence of meteorological factors to PM10 concentration in Bandung, West Java, as the case study. We used the data from Air Quality System Monitoring (AQMS) at Dago Pakar Stastion as the refference of background area and Cisaranten Wetan as the refference of industrial area. This study used multiple linear regression method to analyze the influence of solar radiation, temperature, relative humidity (RH) and wind velocity to concentration of PM10. The result of this analysis is the meteorological factors that influence PM10 concentration are different for both of location. At Dago, wind velocity is not a significant factor influencing fluctuation of PM10 concentration. However, for Cisaranten Wetan it significantly influences the PM10 concentration with negative correlation. The meteorological factors at Dago that significantly influence PM10 concentration are solar radiation (Rad), temperature (T) and relative humidity (RH), with the equation Yi = -87.334 + 0.023Rad + 3.184T + 0.621RH; while at Cisaranten Wetan, the significant meteorological factors are radiation, relative humidity and wind velocity (V), with equation Yi = 16.0842 + 0.028Rad + 0.504RH - 9.184V. Wind velocity at Cisaranten Wetan had a larger range than that of Dago. This wind has a velocity of 5 m/sec which potentially transports particulates to other areas that can decrease PM10 concentration.</em>

Resumen
This paper presents the research results on the contribution of user-centered data mining based on the standard principles, focusing on the analysis of survival and mortality of lung cancer cases. Researchers used anonymized data from previously diagnosed instances in the health database to predict the condition of new patients who have not had their results yet. Medical professionals specializing in this field provided feedback on the usefulness of the new software, which was constructed using WEKA data mining tools and the Naive Bayes method. The results of this article provide elements of interest to discuss the value of identifying or discovering relationships in apparently “hidden” information to propose strategies to counteract health problems or prevent future complications and thus contribute to improving the quality of care. Life of the population, as would be the case of data mining in the health area, has shown applicability in the early detection and prevention of diseases for the analysis of genetic markers to determine the probability of a satisfactory response to medical treatment, and the most accurate model was Naive Bayes (91.1%). The Naive Bayes algorithm’s closest competitor, bagging, came in second with 90.8%. The analysis found that the ZeroR algorithm had the lowest success rate at 80%.

Resumen
In most government maternal and child health (MCH) clinics in sub-Saharan countries caregivers rely on manual methods for data acquisition, storage, and analysis, leading to challenges such as errors, inefficiencies, and limited accessibility. Recognising the transformative potential of digital technology, this design aims to innovate the child growth monitoring paradigm by introducing a comprehensive Digitized Child Growth Monitoring System. The "Mtoto Wetu Growth and Temperature Monitoring System" is a comprehensive framework designed to monitor and assess the growth and temperature patterns of infants and young children on a monthly basis. This system integrates various components, including anthropometric measurements, temperature monitoring, immunisation schedule, automated growth chart generation, and parental, caregiver, and health care professionals’ involvement, to provide a holistic approach to child health monitoring. Implemented with standardised protocols, training sessions, and robust data management systems, the monitoring system aims to facilitate early detection of growth abnormalities, and health concerns. By promoting early intervention, preventive care measures, parental empowerment, and continuity of care, the Mtoto Wetu system strives to optimise health outcomes, foster parental engagement, and promote health equity among children. The system was able to provide results with a small amount of error compared to the standard weighing machines, tap measure and digital thermometer

Resumen
Data mining techniques have numerous applications in malware detection. Classification method is one of the most popular data mining techniques. In this paper we present a data mining classification approach to detect malware behavior. We proposed different classification methods in order to detect malware based on the feature and behavior of each malware. A dynamic analysis method has been presented for identifying the malware features. A suggested program has been presented for converting a malware behavior executive history XML file to a suitable WEKA tool input. To illustrate the performance efficiency as well as training data and test, we apply the proposed approaches to a real case study data set using WEKA tool. The evaluation results demonstrated the availability of the proposed data mining approach. Also our proposed data mining approach is more efficient for detecting malware and behavioral classification of malware can be useful to detect malware in a behavioral antivirus.

Resumen
The food industry is one of the most important industries in human life. Raimin SME is a form of business engaged in the food sector that produces tofu. The tofu production process at Raimin SMEs is mostly done manually. There are some subjective complaints from workers when they are active on the production floor. This complaint was obtained by conducting an initial survey in the form of filling out the Nordic Body Map. Unnatural posture is one of the problems faced by workers, especially in the process of cutting tofu and in terms of ergonomics, working posture in the process of removing tofu from mold and process of tofu cutting. The purpose of this research is to design a tool based on an ergonomic approach so as to reduce the risk of injury and excessive fatigue. The tool in question is also expected to increase the efficiency of processing time. Based on the results of the Nordic Body Map, the most problematic body parts are known, then the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Workplace Ergonomic Risk Factor (WERA) scores are calculated. The results of the REBA calculation for removing tofu from mold resulted in a score of 11 (very high risk category). The results of calculations using the WERA method in the tofu cutting process resulted in a score of 37 (medium risk category). The results of the heart rate (HR) measurement show that workers need energy of 6.34 kcal/minute (classified in heavy work). Furthermore, tool design, simulation with CATIA software and implementation on the production floor are carried out. Of the 8 design concepts, the best design was selected and a simulation was carried out with CATIA software, the result of the REBA score of the cutting process was reduced to 3 (low risk category). The results of the implementation of the tool show that the REBA score after implementation decreases to 3, the WERA score becomes 27, and the energy consumption rate decreases to 3.98 kcal / min, which is categorized as light work. The standard time for removing tofu from mold decreased by 48% (from 48.05 sec to 24.9 sec), while for tofu cutting process it decreased by 69.2% (from 44.58 sec to 13.70 sec).
