Resumen
This article addresses the meaning of the verse form of Alexander Pushkin’s poem “Buria” (1825). The poem’s monotonous rhythm corresponds to the theme of waves hitting the seashore and the rock in the same monotonous manner. The rhythmic structure of the poem implies that it can be divided into four three-line sections, each of which alternates between two rhythmic forms of iambic tetrameter (IV—IV—I, IV—IV—I, etc.). The stanzaic structure of the poem, which is a monostrophe, helps one to sense that pattern. KEYWORDS: 19th-Century Russian Literature, Alexander Pushkin (1799—1837), Buria (1825), Russian Iambic Tetrameter, Semantics of Rhythm, Verse Theory.

Resumen
In Maluku province, especially West Seram Regency (SBB) Taniwel district, has been found the snake fruit with thick fruit with dark yellow color and red dispersion, named salak merah. Buria village and Riring village are samples of breeding central red snake fruit at different altitude that allows different morphology characteristics on red snake fruit, especially on its fruit. the purpose of this research is to know the morphometrics of red snake fruit at lower altitude (Buria village) and higher altitudes (Riring village). This research is a laboratory research type with the only object being red snake fruit taken with purposive sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively. The research shows that the morphometric of red snake fruit from Buria village for length fruit parameter, fruit diameter, middle thickness, skin thickness, and fruit weight in the range of 5.33 cm, 4.66 cm, 1.72 cm, 0.1 cm, and 52.89 gr. While the morphometric of red snake fruit from Riring village was in the range of 5.15 cm, 4.45 cm, 1.47 cm, 0,1 cm, and 46.51 gr. The morphometric value of red snake fruit of Buria village is higher compared to the morphometric value of red snake fruit from Riring village. Therefore, we can conclude that the difference in the altitude of the growth spot gives a real significant difference in the morphometric value of red snake fruit, where the higher the altitude at the plant grows, the lower the morphometric value of the plant. This research is only limited to the fruit morphometric, in hope that there will be another progression on other morphometric parameters, like a leaf, stem, and flower, in addition to its environmental chemical and physical factors that giving significant influence towards the morphometric value of red snake fruit in Taniwel district, West Seram Regency (SBB).

Resumen
Background: Salak is one of Maluku's endemic fruits, especially in Buria Village which makes it the main outcome to increase people's income. Salak fruit contains quite complete nutritional elements such as energy, protein, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphate, iron, vitamin B, vitamin C, and water. To reduce the damage of fruit, the fruit of bark is processed into nata that has high nutritional and economic value. Making nata de Salacca assisted by microorganisms namely bacteria Acetobacter xylinum. In this case the microbes play an important role to overhaul substances that are difficult food absorbed by the body into food substances that are easily absorbed by the body. In addition, microbes provide flavor to the processed products. Methods: The duration of fermentation used in this study was 10 and 14 days. To determine the taste of nata de Salacca that has been processed then performed organoleptic test against 15 panelists. Result: The result is a brownish-white color, a slightly acidic sense of conformity, a chewy texture and a slightly acid-scented aroma, so there is a long-standing fermentation effect on the taste of nata de Salacca. Conclusion: The duration of fermentation has an effect on taste of nata de Salacca covering aspect of color, flavor, texture and aroma

This paper explores death and dying in a settling refugee community. I use ethnographic description to explore an overlooked practical challenge of resettlement – funerals. The focus of research is the Brisbane Karen community, from Burma and/or Thai-Burma border camps. Death and dying as a theme of resettlement research is inadequate. Yet we ought to consider death and dying as a settlement challenge, just as we consider language, employment, or housing (for example). Death and dying traverses the practical challenges of settlement, to deeper ontological questions associated with spiritual existence, rituals and community bonding. The paper provides practical insights into the basic boundaries of Australian funeral practice, which can speak to other minority groups practising burial rites that depart from the mainstream. It comments on how those boundaries can bump up against cultural practice brought from elsewhere. It also demonstrates transnationalism in the Brisbane Karen community.

Resumen
Abstract: An ongoing research question in Myanmar (Burma) is to what extent, and in what specific part of the first millennium CE, traces of Buddhism from India can be observed in the early urban “Pyu” culture. Burial urns feature significantly in the archaeological record, but they do not have any specifically Buddhist features. Some funerary shrines feature a brick plinth at one end. If these were bases for stūpas or Buddha images, then Indian influence could be attributed as early as the second–third century CE period. No evidence has yet been found of what these plinths carried. A later burial complex, dated by radiocarbon to the sixth–seventh century period, included Buddhist “votive tablets.” In another architectural form, the reliquary stūpa, we find a Buddhist practice directly comparable to Indian practices of the early-to-mid first millennium CE. On the evidence of paleography and art history, the Pyu Buddhist stūpas may have been operational in the fifth–sixth century CE period. The earliest radiocarbon date range for a building containing Buddhist material is also the fifth–sixth century.

Resumen
Abstract Exploring the construction and maintenance of Nationalist Chinese soldiers’ graves overseas, this article sheds light on post-World War II commemorative politics. After having fought for the Allies against Japanese aggression in the China-Burma-India Theater, the Chinese expeditionary troops sporadically received posthumous care from Chinese veterans and diaspora groups. In the Southeast Asia Theater, the Chinese soldiers imprisoned in the Japanese-run camps in Rabaul were denied burial in the Allied war cemetery and recognition as military heroes. Analyzing archival documents from China, Taiwan, Britain, Australia, and the United States, I demonstrate how the afterlife of Chinese servicemen under foreign sovereignties mattered in the making of the modern Chinese state and its international status.

Resumen
Sophocles' Oedipus at Colonus has traditionally been regarded as the poet's primary tragedy involving hero cult; this essay explores the more subtle but no less ritually explicit hero cult of the Aias first outlined by Burian. The passage, as Burian saw, occurs when the young Eurysakes kneels at his father's body and Teukros conducts an unusual combination of rites: supplication, curse, offering of hair, and magic (1168-84). One crucial direction to the child, kai phulasse (1180), however, is here not understood to be a paradox of the suppliant who "protects" what he seizes but rather his physical attachment to the locus where he abides as well as his ritual dependence on the source of protection (as with Orestes in Eum. 242f., 439f.). By saying a curse and obtaining protection, Teukros and Eurysakes indicate how the still-warm body of the dead hero has already acquired special powers after death: specifically, the power to bestow both blessings and curses on mortals. The argument turns from the body to the tomb, the physical and lasting monument of hero cult, which the Sophoclean audience would know. The preceding scene ends with a pivotal choral passage where the hero's burial and cult are prescribed in highly Homeric terms (1163-67). This passage forms an important link between the opposing views of the fate of the corpse (Menelaos vs. Teukros) and also between the hero's death and burial. This choral celebration of the hero's future status is cast in traditional Homeric language, but with some revealing inversions. One is the reversal of the verb whereby the earth "holds" (katechei) or possesses heroes in Homer, while Aias occupies and possesses his tomb (1167, kathexei). The evolution of Homeric views of death is traced (Archilochos, Simonides). In Sophocles' Aias the chorus performs the burial as a ritual act establishing a cult, long before it happens at the end of the play. The article concludes with a discussion of the historical cults of Aias known to the Athenians and of the more significant way that Aias (a suicide) becomes a hero: not self-consciously, as Oedipus did, but through rituals performed by his family and community. In the Aias, the poet's sense of hero cult lies closer to Homer and the epic tradition than it does, for instance, to Aeschylus.

Resumen
The Schuppen Belt, a part of the Indo-Burma Ranges is basically comprised of molasses of Tertiary age. This tectono–stratigraphic belt is restricted by two major thrust faults, namely Disang and Naga. In the southern part of the Naga Hills a significant part is occupied by Surma–Tipam Transitional Sequences (STTS). This study deals with the petrography, provenance, and tectonic setting of the STTS sandstones. The sandstones are classified as arkose and arkosic wacke types. The major contribution of detritus has been observed from the recycled orogen, dissected arc, transitional continental and basement uplift. The geochemistry data reveals that the sandstones were derived from a collisional setting of an active continental margin. The low degree of chemical maturity indicates that the sandstones were deposited in an arid climatic condition. The diagenetic signatures observed in these sandstones such as, point, long and concavo-convex grain boundary, albitization, crushing and squashing of quartz grains, warping of mica around detrital grains, and bending of mica suggest early to a late stage deep burial diagenesis.
