Resumen
Abstract DC circuit breaker is the key equipment for control and protection in the medium and high voltage DC system. Mechanical DC circuit breakers have transient overvoltage in breaking, which may lead to re-breakdown of the breaker or even breaking failure in severe cases. In this paper, the transient overvoltage in the breaking process of typical mechanical DC circuit breakers is studied. An improved topology which can supress the transient voltage is propose. The effect of different capacitance and resistance parameters on weakening the transient voltage is investigated, and the adaptability of the proposed method to different breaking currents is studied.

Resumen
The undervoltage tripper is a protection accessory of the low voltage apparatus and can turn off the circuit-breaker automatically when the power occurs lowering out off the given range. As a result of electrical network quality and manufacture procedure and so on, the failure rate of the circuit-breaker’s undervoltage tripper is high and always solved difficultly. This paper proposes one kind of adaptive undervoltage tripper with overvoltage protection function. It can adapt the supply voltage change automatically, absorb overvoltage, block the undervoltage tripper’s coil voltage, cause the operating region of the undervoltage tripper without high voltage dead area and improve the circuit-breaker work’s reliability.

Resumen
HVDC grids demand the fast and reliable operation of the protection system. The failure of any protection element should initialize a backup protection almost immediately in order to assure the system’s stability. This paper proposes a novel backup strategy that covers the failure of the primary protection including the malfunctioning of the HVDC circuit breaker. Only local voltage measurements are employed in the proposed backup protection and the voltage derivative is calculated at both sides of the limiting inductor. Consequently, the speed and reliability of the protection system are enhanced, since no communication channel is needed. This paper contains a thorough specification of the proposed protection strategy. This strategy is validated in a four-terminal HVDC grid with various fault case scenarios, including high-resistance fault cases. The operation of the backup protection is reliable and remarkably fast.

Resumen
Protection is a safety in the electric power system installed in the electric power distribution system, power transformer, electric power transmission, and electric generator used to secure the power system electricity from electrical disturbances or overloads by separating the disturbed parts of the electric power system from the undisturbed electrical power system so that the undisturbed electrical system can continue to work. The protection system at the T75B substation has a work failure where when there is a short circuit on the consumer side, it causes the PMT (Power Breaker) for the Malibu Feeder at the Kebon Sirih Substation to trip while the CBO (Circuit Breaker Outgoing) cubicle at the T75B substation does not trip. This resulted in an unexpected widespread blackout. To find out the cause of the failure of the protection system, several tests and analyzes were carried out, namely protection design testing, protection relay coordination testing, protection system construction analysis, protection equipment performance testing. It is hoped that the test results can be used as a reference for improvement so that similar failures do not recur.

Resumen
AbstractIn the context of the global climate crisis and the resulting catastrophic flooding phenomena, the contribution looks at an innovative digital model for the coastal recovery, attentive to the protection of waterfronts and their stakeholders. By intervening in the relationship between transformation and conservation of built environment, it is necessary to establish governance support tools capable of foreseeing emergency scenarios to protect the population. The research looks at the port areas of coastal cities as a contemporary and collective public space in which to test the collaborative digital model proposed for waterfronts recovery and maintenance. The need-based methodological process used the human life protection, exposed to flooding danger, as the input of a design process. Through a survey and modeling phase, the waterfront breaks down into environmental and technological systems, specifying the extent of the failure. The waterfront digitization allows providing the governance with a sensor alert tool that gives the monitoring of the behavior and the state of the waterfront elements’ degradation. This information is simplified and given back to the users who both made responsible for the maintenance culture of the places they use and alerted to the possible danger they are exposed. The case is Atrani, where an internal flooding, caused by the estuary overflowing, degenerated in the entire coastal system up to the sea. The results provide a digital model capable of exploring and optimizing the coastal built environment to increase the governance capacity and the waterfront performance.

Resumen
Circuit breaker trip circuit (also known as control circuit) is the most important secondary circuit for relay protection. Among them, the “communication triple trip” (CTT) hard contact connected to the operation exit circuit of the protection device increases the complexity of the trip circuit and the difficulty of analyzing the trip circuit failure. When the system runs normally, the signal of “control circuit disconnection” cannot be accurately and timely uploaded to the operation monitoring background. When the system short-circuit fault occurs, the circuit breaker cannot operate correctly due to the trip circuit break, so the adjacent interval is connected by the near backup protection, thus causing the expansion of the accident scope. In this paper, it is proposed for the first time that the CTT hard contact protected by circuit breaker should be replaced by the soft CTT (i.e. the control word) of the protection device, so as to make the trip circuit reliable, clear and simple, and at the same time ensure the accuracy of the “control circuit break” signal.

Resumen
This work aims to make a comparison between disconnector circuit breakers (DCB) and conventional circuit breakers, with the purpose of evaluating the feasibility of implantation in several installations in Brazil that follow procedures and regulations of the agents of the Brazilian electric sector. The development of DCB technology has allowed an increase in the reliability and availability of the substations, which has contributed to the reduction of failures and, consequently, of the costs related to the maintenance of the substations that incorporate these types of circuit breakers in their projects [1]. It is worth mentioning that, due to the innovative technology of combining two functions (circuit breaker and disconnector) in the same protection device, DCB are not only reducing the amount of raw materials and the emission of gases that favor global heating, but also a relevant reduction of the space occupied by substations that adopt these types of devices in their projects, about 75%, thus resulting in substations more ecologically and economically sustainable substations [1, 2].

Resumen
This chapter zeroes in on Horrible White People shows’ generic structures, aesthetic innovations, and relationship to sitcom history, focusing particularly on how the sitcom has historically perpetuated an idealized form of aspirational white domesticity and contained, incorporated, or appropriated racial and ethnic diversity. This chapter traces the significant ways Horrible White People shows break from sitcom conventions and highlight how rather than celebrate or romanticize kinship and solidarity as the genre’s traditional focus on idealized nuclear families does, this cycle of bleakly comic, white-cast rom-com sitcoms wallows in the anxieties and neuroses of contemporary alternative family structures and relationships. These failed white subjects disrupt the utopic family sitcom and romantic comedy’s generic structures with serialized plots and replace the fantasy of familial unity and heterosexual coupling with self-destructive narcissism. The darker lighting, isolating single-camera cinematography, and grimmer aesthetics of these shows centralize families that are unable to protect members from the outside world. So, by delving into the high-production-value aesthetics and the usually bleak affects of the cycle, the focus is on the ways in which these dystopian white couples and families function to either justify or come to grips with the failures of contemporary white political and social liberalism. Horrible White People shows challenge the conventions and histories of the sitcom genre to appear progressive, self-critical, antiracist, inclusive, and feminist, but they ultimately recentralize white suffering under the seemingly protective guise of liberal social critique. The disillusion with family and lack of narrative closure in these shows leaves the white protagonists suspended in a space of precarity, unable to fulfill their neoliberal capacity without the safety of family, jobs, or often even ambition.

Resumen
The selected Spermatozoa when it reaches the ovulated Cumulus Oocyte Complex after ovulation, dispersion of the granulosa cells and corona radiata cells occur. The Spermatozoa then must cross the Zona Pellucida (ZP), fuse with the oolemma, and then subsequently fertilize the oocyte. Embryologist Karl Ernst von Baer coined the term ‘Zona Pellucida’ from Greek work Zone which means belt or girdle and Latin work Pellucida which means transparent or shining. This extracellular matrix is about 13-15 um thick and surrounds all the mammalian eggs and pre-implantation embryos. Zona Pellucida structure is made up of carbohydrates, specific proteins, glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid, heparin, collagen, and fibrous proteins. Human Zona Pellucida contains 4 glycosylated proteins namely ZP1, ZP2, ZP3, and ZP4. ZP plays an important role in helping oocytes to transport essential nutrients and helps in avoiding polyspermy by hardening after fertilization. The embryos must break open the protective ZP layer to the implant, the process is called hatching. It is said that in Assisted reproductive treatment (ART) factors such as the non-availability of enzymes from the endometrium which helps in hatching, extended culture, vitrification may lead to failure in the hatching of embryos from ZP. It was postulated that micromanipulation of ZP to create an opening will help the embryos to hatch and thus implant and will lead to an increase in Implantation rates (IR). This process was later called Assisted Hatching (AH). Various methods were discovered for Assisted hatching such as mechanical ZP AH, zona digestion using enzymes, and laser-Assisted hatching. This chapter will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of each method of AH and their applications in ART along with the impact of AH on clinical outcomes. The use of any method of AH should be chosen carefully to avoid damage to the embryo which will defy the whole purpose of application of AH. In any case, laser-assisted hatching is widely used for Pre- Implantation Genetic Testing (PGT) of the embryos as it is very safe if applied properly, convenient, easy to use, and faster compared to other methods of AH. Each laboratory should identify the correct time and stage at which application of AH is considered based on whether it is helping to improve clinical rates or not.
