Texto completoA tremendous amount of work has been done recently in the area of Object Oriented Design (OOD) methodology. Most often, texts and papers explaining these methodologies are centered around the explanation of some arcane graphical notation. One is led to believe that the key to understanding Object Orientedness in general will be found by understanding and applying this notation. An understanding of the essence of OOD is difficult to acquire in this manner due to the disproportionate amount of energy required to memorize the graphic symbology. The prospective designer is often left with an understanding of the symbols, but with no understanding of how to apply them to a real world large scale problem. This paper provides an explanation of the Object Oriented paradigm with an example application to telemetry measurements. Next this paper provides an explanation of the most popular graphic notation for Object Oriented Design, the Booch Notation. Finally, this paper shows an alternative graphic notation that can be effectively used in Object Oriented Design during the initial stages of design to help eliminate the learning curve associated with the more popular Object Oriented notations.

Texto completoO estudo aqui apresentado tem como objetivo sugerir melhorias ao processo de seleção da Bosch Car Multimedia (CM). Este estudo sobre o processo de seleção da Bosch CM torna-se importante nesta fase em que a organização se encontra num período de grande expansão. Desta feita, o Recrutamento e Seleção tornam-se relevantes na medida em que levarão a Gestão de Recursos Humanos a escolher os melhores colaboradores que intervirão e contribuirão para tal expansão. Tendo por base objetivo apresentado, foi utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa para levar a cabo a recolha da informação necessária ao cumprimento do objetivo. O trabalho de recolha de informação implicou a realização de 22 entrevistas aos intervenientes do processo de seleção da Bosch CM, assim como um grupo de foco aos colaboradores que passaram pelo processo de seleção da organização. A partir da análise da informação qualitativa recolhida foi possível perceber as perceções dos colaboradores sobre o processo de seleção no geral, e, mais especificamente, relativa aos métodos de seleção mais comumente utilizados pela Bosch CM. Através dos testemunhos descrevem-se os diferentes tipos de operacionalização do processo de seleção, quais os seus pontos positivos e negativos do ponto de vista dos participantes, as dificuldades que estes sentem e melhorias que os mesmos propõem. Foi ainda possível recolher testemunhos reais sobre os resultados a que os processos de seleção da organização têm levado. Com este trabalho foi então possível encetar uma proposta de melhora do processo de seleção da Bosch CM que contou com a participação dos seus colaboradores e que irá permitir à organização ajustar o processo aos perfis dos intervenientes, equacionar o modo de participação de cada interveniente no processo, redefinir aspetos importantes para o sucesso da seleção, entre outras.
This work has as an objective the suggestion of improvements to the selection process of Bosch Car Multimedia (CM). The study of the selection process at Bosch Car Multimedia becomes important in this phase where the organization is rapidly growing. Thus, Recruitment and Selection become relevant in the means that they will allow Human Resources Management to choose the best employees that will intervene and contribute to these expansions. With this underlying purpose, a qualitative methodology was used to carry out information gathering necessary to fulfil the objective. The information gathering process included the realization of 22 interviews on the participants of selection process of Bosch CM, as well as a focus group with employees that went through the organization’s selection process. From the qualitative information analysis it was possible to understand employees’ perception of the selection process in general, and more specifically, relative to the selection methods more commonly used by Bosch CM. According to the retrieved testimonies we can describe the different types of operations of the selection process, it’s negative and positive aspects from the participant’s perspective, the difficulties that arise and the improvements that were proposed. It was also possible to retrieve real testimonies regarding the results that the selection process has brought. This work allowed for the elaboration of a improvement proposal of Bosch CM’s selection process, that included the participation of it’s employees and will allow the organization to adjust the process to the participant’s profile, rethink the participation method of each intervenient, redefine important aspects of the selection process, amongst others.
