This paper wishes to describe the numeral systems in the regions of Papua, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and North Maluku, namely Marind language (Papua), Tarfia language (Papua), Alor language (NTT), Adang language (NTT), Eastern Makian language (North Maluku) and Ternate language (North Maluku). This paper aims to determine the similarities and the differences among the six languages. This research uses a qualitative method. The result of this study is explaining that all those six languages have unique numeral systems, which differs from one regional language to other regional languages. Although they are different, the six languages also have similarities, that is they have cardinal numbers and the development of cardinal numbers. The lexical shapes used in the six languages in forming the numbers can be grouped into two, namely (1) the cardinal number and (2) the development of the cardinal number. The cardinal numbers in the six languages can be grouped into two parts, namely (1) languages that fall under the category of less-than-en cardinal number system and (2) the languages that fall under the category of ten cardinal numbers. Abstrak Makalah ini mendeskripsikan sistem bilangan beberapa bahasa di wilayah Papua, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), dan Maluku Utara, yaitu bahasa Marind (Papua), bahasa Tarfia (Papua), bahasa Alor (NTT), bahasa Adang (NTT), bahasa Makian Timur (Maluku Utara), dan bahasa Ternate (Maluku Utara). Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesamaan dan perbedaan keenam bahasa-bahasa tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Temuan yang didapat dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa keenam bahasa tersebut memiliki sistem bilangan yang khas, yang berbeda antara satu bahasa daerah dengan bahasa daerah lainnya. Walaupun berbeda, keenam bahasa-bahasa itu juga memiliki kesamaan, yaitu sama-sama memiliki bilangan pokok dan pengembangan bilangan pokok. Bentuk leksikal yang digunakan pada keenam bahasa tersebut dalam membentuk bilangan-bilangan dapat dikelompokkan atas dua, yaitu (1) bilangan pokok dan (2) pengembangan bilangan pokok. Bilangan pokok pada keenam bahasa itu dapat dikelompokkan atas dua bagian, yaitu (1) bahasa-bahasa yang termasuk kategori sistem bilangan pokok yang kurang dari sepuluh dan (2) bahasa-bahasa yang termasuk kategori bilangan pokok sepuluh.

Khalach is distinguished among the Turkic nations by a distinctive language and a rich past of various realities. Today, living on the central regions of Iran, living nomadic life, this nation took part in the ethnic Union of several society of Central Asia and its neighbor regions. Especially among the Turkic peoples - the Turkmen, the Uzbek, the Anatolian Turks, as well as among the Afghans, many ethnic terms associated with them have been preserved. In the early Middle Ages, the Khalachs, who lived in the Yettisuw (Semirech’e) country, moved to the sides of Afghanistan and Northern India (Pakistan) between the VI–VIII centuries AD, forming their own political associations here. The role of Khalch’s in the establishment of several Turkic dynasties in these countries has a separate place. The presence of a large number of written sources in the old Indian, Chinese, Bactrian, Arabic, Persian and Turkic is proof of that.

Cet article présente une synthèse des recherches en acquisition du français langue seconde/étrangère menées à l’Université de Stockholm. Il fait le lien entre les premiers résultats obtenus au sein du projet InterFra (Interlangue française — développement, interaction et variation) avec les recherches menées récemment sur les stades très avancés. L’article se divise en trois parties. Les deux premières sont rétrospectives, d’abord une description du corpus InterFra — présenté ici dans son intégralité pour la première fois —, puis un bilan des résultats des thèses qui ont utilisé ce corpus, et, finalement, les stades de développement proposés par Bartning et Schlyter (2004). La troisième partie présente un projet sur les stades ultimes d’une L2, High-level proficiency in second language use, programme de recherche commun à cinq départements de l’Université de Stockholm et rend compte des résultats d’études récentes concernant trois groupes d’un niveau proche du locuteur natif, des locuteurs non natifs appelés respectivement avancés, bilingues fonctionnels et quasi-natifs. L’article se clôt sur un bilan de ces études.

Hopefully using quiz and questioner able to find the dificultioes faced by the students of Bina Nusantara University in learning Mandarin language numeral words. Also using questioner and interview to find the solustions. The research object is Chinese students of Bina Nusantara University from 2-4 semesters. Result from the data analysis is the student did not master well of the Mandarin language numeral words. The student time study in Bina Nusantara University did not have much effect on the student mastering of the Mandarin language numeral words. What causing the student having difficulties in learning the Mandarin language numeral words are because the numeral words in Mandarin language is too much also the usage is very wide.

The article analyzes the political and diplomatic relations of the Ottoman Empire and the Central Asian khanates on the basis of documents from Turkic-language sources introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. An analysis of the Ottoman and Central Asian documents, identified by us in the Turkic-speaking sources, led to the conclusion that initially the ideas of a political union and unification with the Ottoman Empire on the basis of a single religion came from the Central Asian rulers. The revealed materials allow shedding light on the history of relations between the Ottoman Empire and the Central Asian khanates in the first half of the 19th -early 20th centuries. On the basis of previously unknown documents, the course and chronology of relations between the Central Asian states and the Ottoman Empire are considered, their assessment is given through the prism of the ideological ideas about the place of religion in the life of society

The aims of this study is to describe a variety of old Balinese language numeral recorded in the footsteps of old Balinese inscriptions and expressing their kinship relationships in the level of Proto-Malayo Polynesian. This study used a qualitative-explorative-descriptive research design. Numeral in the copy of the old Balinese inscriptions and comparative number words in the Polynesian Proto-Austronesian and Proto-Malayo clumps were collected by documentation. Data analysis was done by describing each expression of the value of numbers into the morpheme. The trace of the old Balinese language numeral found in the remains of the old Balinese inscriptions were intact decimal number words, lexical innovation number words that related to cultural meanings, and high number words. Old Balinese language kept verbal traces in the form of number words as expressions of counting culture which were proven to have genetic relationship with languages in the Malayo Polynesian family. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan beragam kata bilangan bahasa Bali Kuno yang terekam dalam jejak prasasti berbahasa Bali Kuno dan mengungkapkan hubungan kekerabatanya dalam jenjang kekerabatan Proto-Malayo Polynesian. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kualitatif ekploratif deskriptif. Kata bilangan dalam salinan prasasti berbahasa Bali Kuno dan kata bilangan pembanding dalam rumpun Proto-Austronesia dan Proto-Malayo Polinesian dikumpulkan dengan cara dokumentasi.Analisis data dilakukan dengan menguraikan setiap ekspresi nilai bilangan ke dalam morfem. Makna morfem, jika diketahui, dapat disimpulkan secara terpisah atau disimpulkan berdasarkan persamaan matematika sebagai bagian dari ekspresi nilai bilangan. Jejak kata bilangan bahasa Bali Kuno yang ditemukan dalam tinggalan prasasti berbahasa Bali Kuno adalah kata bilangan desimal utuh, kata bilangan inovasi leksikal yang tidak memiliki konsekuensi struktur tetapi memiliki keterkaitan dengan makna-makna budaya, dan kata bilangan tinggi.Bahasa Bali Kuno menyimpan jejak verbal dalam bentuk kata bilangan sebagai ekspresi budaya menghitung yang terbukti memiliki relasi kekerabatan dengan bahasa-bahasa dalam rumpun Melayu Polinesia.

The paper brings about the results of a research carried out within the project the Importance of Plants in Roma Culture, which on the one hand was dedicated to collecting of intangible cultural heritage of Roma on names of plants in Romani language and how they are used by Roma people in folk medicine, customs, religious celebrations, and, on the other hand to comparison between symbolic uses of certain plants in Serbian and Roma Culture. The research aim was to collect the names of plants in Roma language and to identify their use in folk medicine, customs, religious celebrations, as well as to compare the symbolism of certain plants in Serbian and Roma culture, i.e. to establish potential similarity of symbolism of plants in certain Roma ritual practice with the symbolism of plants in Serbian traditional culture through comparative analysis. For the purpose of the research, a number of students attending the program of first and second level of studies in Romani language at the Preschool Teacher Training College "Mihailo Palov" in Vrsac, supported by their mentors, according to the method of (semi-structured) interview collected data on names and symbolism of 38 different plants in Roma culture in Zabalj, Pirot, Jazak and Vrsac). Consulting relevant literature, the collected linguistic material was analyzed and classified, to be subsequently supported by theoretical impulses and findings of previous research. The obtained results, even though on the small scale sample, confirmed the assumptions that the symbolism of certain plants in Roma culture is similar of even the same in certain ritual practice as the symbolism of plants in the Serbian culture, as well as that certain names of plants are the same as those in majority of population (Serbs) Roma people live by. The research findings may serve as a starting point for more comprehensive research of the subject, as well as a motivation for further deeper research on intangible cultural heritage of Roma in Serbia. The research itself and the way it was conducted did certainly empowered the students, having provided them with the training on how to conduct a field interview, inspiring them to engage in further activities directed to preservation of Roma culture, as well as nurturing of multicultural dialogue, enriching the teaching material in a number of courses, especially within the program in Romani language.

The objective of this research is to describe the classification of numeral forms in the Jambi Malay Language. The method used in this research is descriptive. Sources of research data include oral data from informants and written data taken from a collection of Jambi folklore. Overall this research was conducted in two locations, namely the district of Muaro Jambi and Jambi city. The research data were in the form of words, phrases, and sentences containing Jambi Malay Language numeral forms. The techniques collection used include interview, observation, introspection, and elicitation techniques. Data analysis is done by distributional method through substitution, expansion, and permutation technique. The results of data analysis showed that the numeral forms of Jambi Malay Language can be classified into 2 forms namely: 1) Basic form that includes monomorphemic form and polymorphemic form. Both forms are classified based on the amount of morphemes. 2) Complex forms or derivatives are classified based on their morphological processes, i.e. forms of affixed and reduplication. Based on these results, it can be concluded that from the morphological and syntactic aspects, the numeral forms of Jambi Malay Language has its own classification which is different from other word forms. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan klasifikasi bentuk kata bilangan bahasa Melayu Jambi (BMJ). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan struktural. Sumber data penelitian mencakup data lisan yang berasal dari informan dan data tulisan yang diambil dari kumpulan cerita rakyat daerah Jambi. Secara keseluruhan penelitian ini dilakukan di dua lokasi yakni Kabupaten Muaro Jambi dan Kota Jambi. Data penelitian berupa kata, frasa dan kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung kata bilangan BMJ. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi teknik wawancara, observasi, introspeksi, dan elisistasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode distribusional melalui teknik subsitusi, ekspansi dan permutasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa secara umum bentuk kata bilangan BMJ dapat diklasifikasikan atas 2 bentuk yakni: 1) bentuk dasar yang mencakup bentuk monomorfemis dan bentuk polimorfemis. Kedua bentuk ini diklasifikasikan berdasarkan jumlah morfemnya. 2) bentuk kompleks atau turunan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan proses morfologisnya, yakni bentuk berafiks dan bentuk reduplikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa klasifikasi bentuk kata bilangan bahasa BMJ merupakan kajian linguistik dari aspek morfologi dan sintaksis mempunyai klasifikasi tersendiri yang berbeda dari bentuk kata lainnya.

Un bilan des recherches consacrées à l'apprentissage de l'intonation française montre que cet aspect est souvent négligé. Pourtant l'étude de l'interlangue intonative est intéressante à plus d'un titre. Suite à l'élaboration d'une procédure d'observation, on présente les premières données relatives à l'étude d'un corpus de 25 énoncés français lus par 3 groupes de 15 étudiants anglophones. Cette étude a permis de montrer l'existence d'un ordre d'acquisition des formes linguistiques étudiées ainsi qu'un processus de fossilisation de ces dernières.

The field consists of imperfect, simple descriptive and visual aspects, and there is an urgent need to study and fill the abstract positions on the basis of new perspectives.The study of the Turkic language initiated by Mahmud Kashghariy by means of iral-typological and are-linguistic methods, the study of the poems, their peculiarities, is the starting point of any linguistic theories and concepts. The emergence of Areal linguistics has opened the way for a new assessment and solution of new problems and concepts in the field of dialectology. The fact that historical, comparative and ethno linguistic research has been identified as one of the priority areas for integrating the language system into the theoretical foundations of dialects and dialects imposes new responsibilities on Uzbek linguistics and Uzbek linguists.The article discusses the peculiarities of Namangan kipchak and early dialects, the historical genesis of the vowel system, the distribution and range of action. The phonetic-phonological linguistic characteristic of dialect and the processes of occurrence of regularities are described in comparative-historical terms. It contains thoughts on the singularize of the kipchak dialects related to the Turkish vowels and the events of umlaut in the dialects of old age.

Resumen
The paper reviews achievements made in the field of video analytics and computer vision, which enable automatic detection of fires, based on video data. Various algorithms have been implemented in sought for effective fire detection methods using video. As one of these, a color-based fire detection algorithm is being described. However, using only one color model for fi re detection is an inefficient approach. The paper proposes a method for estimating temporal changes in pixel intensity, which is used to retrieve information about fires from fire-like objects in a video image. This method helps to calculate the average intensity value in a sequence of shots. A special software has been developed in the Python programming language using the OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) library, and the corresponding findings have been gained in view to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The purpose of this research is to explore ethnomathematical elements contained in the language of the Tubbe tribe which is then associated with the context of learning student numbers in elementary schools. The research method used in this study is qualitative research method with exploratory, descriptive, and ethnographic approaches. The results of this study are in the form of classification of place values and number construction based on the language structure of the Tubbe tribe. In addition, the results of this study are in the form of a set of numbers contained in the Tubbe Tribe language, namely the set of natural, digit, prime, composite, integers, rational, decimal, irrational, and rill numbers. Some mathematical concepts in numbers such as root and negative forms are not found in the Tubbe language. Thus, to relate the language of the Tubbe tribe to the context of number learning in elementary schools must still be linked to mathematical concepts using Indonesian language.

This paper provides an analysis of the properties of interrogative pronouns of Mabia languages drawing data from Dagbani and Likpakpaanl. We focus on the inventory, internal structure, and key grammatical characterisation of the interrogative pronouns. We contend that interrogative pronouns are salient syntactic elements in the content question systems of these languages. In addition, we demonstrate that number marking, distinction between human/non-human and lexical ambiguity are salient grammatical properties of these interrogative pronouns. We further show that the inflection for number employs both suppletive and nonsuppletive patterns. We also contend that the interrogative pronouns that specify for the semantic domains of [+human], [-human] and [+thing] are sensitive to number, since they alternate for plurality (ŋuni ~banima (who.sg ~ who-pl), bo~bonima (what.sg ~what-pl), dini~dinnima (what.sg.thing ~ what.thing-pl) for Dagbani and (ŋma ~bilabi (who.sg ~ who-pl), nilan ~ bilabi (what.sg ~what-pl), ba ~ ba (what.sg.thing ~ what.thing-pl) for Likpakpaanl. Because the root may differ or be the same from that of the plural as evident in both languages, we propose that number marking in these interrogative words exhibit both suppletive and nonsuppletive patterns. The data are based on native introspection of the authors who are native speakers of these languages. This paper is important because of its empirical and theoretical contribution to the study of the Mabia languages.

Abstract This article purports to report, without claiming to be exhaustive, on the recent dynamism within Shīʿi studies and their echoes throughout the various fields of Islamology. The first part will present a brief history of Shīʿi studies and the successive biases that have affected them. The second part will retrace the course of these studies over nine years (2009-2017), focusing on three collective works that rehabilitate in different ways Henry Corbin’s analyses (m. 1979), considered outdated by some. The third part will address three areas in which recent Shīʿi studies have proved particularly fruitful: the history of early Islam; the intra-Shīʿi minorities and the origins of Islam; Islamic philosophy after Averroes (d. 1198). The sum total will reflect a decompartmentalisation of Shīʿi studies both internally, between the different currents and aspects of Shīʿism, and externally, between Shīʿism and Sunnism, philosophy or Sufism.

À partir de la démarche théorique et méthodologique de l’analyse interactionnelle, l’article étudie six extraits d’entretien dans lesquels l’énoncé évaluatif « c’est normal » apparait de façon récurrente. Ce phénomène énonciatif remplit différentes fonctions : celle de négocier les savoirs mis en circulation, d’établir les positionnements relationnels entre les participants, et de co-construire l’argumentation dans la structuration du discours en interaction. L’article discute de l’imbrication de ces fonctions ainsi que de l’importance des compétences d’interaction mobilisées par les professionnel.le.s afin de créer les conditions d’une relation partenariale avec les parents au moment des rencontres.

En 1988, la Loi sur les langues officielles fit des municipalités des partenaires de premier plan dans la promotion du bilinguisme. Or, après deux générations, on ignore quelles municipalités interviennent en la matière et comment elles interviennent. À partir d'une enquête auprès de 209 municipalités canadiennes, ce texte décrit et analyse les interventions municipales favorables au bilinguisme. Plusieurs municipalités agissent, mais le bilan est loin de la vision de la Commission royale.Abstract. In 1967, the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism stated the critical role of Canadian municipalities in official languages. In 1988, the Official Languages Act made municipalities full partners in the promotion of bilingualism. After two generations, we do not know which municipalities intervene in the matter or how they intervene. This article presents and analyses the results of a survey of 209 Canadian municipalities on official languages. It reveals that many municipalities intervene, but these interventions are far from the objectives of the Royal Commission and the Official Languages Act.
