Resumen
Abstract Nonlinear dissipative systems support pulsating solutions and exhibit many interesting dynamic behaviors. Here, we report various soliton pulsations and explosions in an all-normal dispersion ytterbium-doped fiber laser by utilizing the dispersive Fourier transform technique. By the different soliton dynamics, these phenomena can be classified into single-soliton pulsation and explosion, dual-soliton synchronous and asynchronous pulsation, as well as dual-soliton asynchronous explosion. Solitons exhibit identical periodic fluctuations in the synchronous pulsation while showing the anti-phase behavior in asynchronous pulsation. The dual-soliton asynchronous pulsation might be related to the periodic modulation of the polarization state of solitons. As for the dual-soliton asynchronous explosion, it can be regarded as the asynchronously triggered transient solitons containing periodic explosion through the gain-mediated soliton interactions. These findings may provide new insights into complex dynamics in the field of ultrafast lasers.

Resumen
We propose a multi-agent epistemic logic of asynchronous announcements, where truthful announcements are publicly sent but individually received by agents, and in the order in which they were sent. Additional to epistemic modalities the logic contains dynamic modalities for making announcements and for receiving them. What an agent believes is a function of her initial uncertainty and of the announcements she has received. Beliefs need not be truthful, because announcements already made may not yet have been received. As announcements are true when sent, certain message sequences can be ruled out, just like inconsistent cuts in distributed computing. We provide a complete axiomatization for this asynchronous announcement logic ( AA ). It is a reduction system that also demonstrates that any formula in AA is equivalent to one without dynamic modalities, just as for public announcement logic. A detailed example modelling message exchanging processes in distributed computing in AA closes our investigation.

Resumen
The article solves the current scientific and technical problem of increasing the energy efficiency of the control system for asynchronous electric drives of lifting and transport equipment of enterprises in the engineering industry, in particular overhead cranes, characterized by a high level of dynamic load both in terms of mechanical and electromagnetic indicators. In order to compare the efficiency of control systems, computer modeling of vector control of an asynchronous electric drive was carried out using proportional-integral controllers and neuroregulators based on fuzzy logic. The results of the simulation are presented and the advantages of using a vector control system with a fuzzy neuroregulator in relation to an asynchronous electric drive of an overhead crane are shown, namely, increasing the energy efficiency of operation and reducing dynamic loads during sudden changes in the control signal, ensuring high accuracy of the control process. Goal. Study of the dynamics of an electric drive with a fuzzy controller to achieve improved energy efficiency indicators of material handling equipment. Methodology. An algorithm has been developed for the operation of a vector control system for an asynchronous electric drive of an overhead crane with a fuzzy controller. Computer models of electric drive vector control and vector control subsystems have been developed. A neuroregulator for a vector control system for an asynchronous drive of an overhead crane was synthesized. Results. Mathematical modeling of an electric drive with vector control and the use of proportional-integral and Fuzzy controllers in the electric drive speed loop showed the difference in dynamic modes. A system with a fuzzy controller shows better energy efficiency in transient processes. Power decrease is 15-20%. Conclusions. The simulation results indicate an increase in energy efficiency in transient processes when operating lifting and transport equipment with an asynchronous electric drive. In addition, the use of a fuzzy neuroregulator operating on the basis of Fuzzy logic in the control system makes it possible to create a high-precision asynchronous electric drive with smooth transient processes.

Resumen
The article presents proposals on how to adjust the dynamics of asynchronous variable frequency drives used in production equipment. Several papers and patents show that dynamic positive feedback (DPF) on the active current of the motor stator yields significant improvement in static speed accuracy and dynamic process quality. However, analog hardware implementation of this adjustment in drives of production machines is both inefficient and cost-ineffective. This article shows how such adjustment could be implemented in industrial controllers originally designed to work with frequency converters (FC) as process parameter controllers. It further shows that this approach opens up broad opportunities to use standard hardware and software in better asynchronous drive control algorithms.

Asynchronous motors require its study not only in stationary modes, but also in dynamic ones. At the same time, this makes it possible to formulate the corresponding requirements for automatic control devices of a regulated IM, the implementation of which will ensure the optimal course of transient processes in the electric drive system; it requires its study not only in stationary modes, but also in dynamic ones. This simultaneously makes it possible to formulate the corresponding requirements for automatic control devices of variable IM, the implementation of which will ensure the optimal course of transient processes in the electric drive system The study of electromechanical transient modes requires a joint consideration and solution of the equations of equilibrium of electrical quantities in the windings of the machine and the equations of motion of an electric drive.

Resumen
In this paper, we consider the problem of asynchronous estimation in the presence of packet losses for the randomly sampling nonlinear system. Packet losses occur at the control input and at the measurement side. Firstly, the synchronization of the asynchronous sampling system is realized by weighting the state of the adjacent state update points. Secondly, the projection theorem is used to estimate the system state at the sampling time. Due to modeling errors and unmodeled dynamics, obtaining an accurate dynamic model is challenging. Therefore, observation inference based on interpolation techniques is proposed to solve the asynchronous estimation problem. Furthermore, the algorithm is extended to multi-sensor systems to obtain a distributed fusion estimator. Finally, simulation experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Resumen
The article proposes and substantiates a method for studying the dynamics of an asynchronous electric drives with frequency control from the input side of the signal for setting the speed of rotation of the electric motor. In this method, a constant speed reference signal is added to a harmonic variable frequency signal. The set of amplitude changes and phase shifts of velocity oscillations are the initial data for identifying the dynamics of the studied control method. The logic of this method is determined by the previously obtained nonlinear transfer function of the link that forms the mechanical moment in the asynchronous electric drive with frequency control. Experiments have shown the dynamic benefits of the drive with positive stator current feedback.

Resumen
THE POSSIBILITY of using various speed observers in a vector-controlled asynchronous electric drive system proposed for use on an inclined conveyor belt transporting iron ore concentrate is considered. THE PURPOSE is a comparative study of the dynamic characteristics of the vector control system of an asynchronous electric drive when using a speed sensor and speed observers of various types. THE RESEARCH METHODS are development of mathematical models of observers, computer modeling and analysis of dynamic modes of operation of the asynchronous electric drive vector control system when using a speed sensor and various speed observers in the conditions of operation of an inclined conveyor belt, analysis of the accuracy of speed measurement by the observers considered, taking into account the influence of thermal changes in the active resistance of the asynchronous motor windings. With the help of computer modeling, graphs of transient processes in the asynchronous electric drive system with vector control are obtained, the results of modeling dynamic characteristics and quality indicators in systems with a speed sensor mounted on the motor shaft and with speed observers. The degree of influence of the thermal change in the active resistance of the windings of an asynchronous motor on the work of observers of different types is determined. AS A RESULT of the studies carried out, it was found that the full-order speed observer provides a minimum error in speed measurement and can be used in an asynchronous electric drive system with vector control when it is used on an inclined conveyor belt.

Resumen
Although frequency-dependent short-term presynaptic plasticity has been of long-standing interest, most studies have emphasized modulation of the synchronous, phasic component of transmitter release, most evident with a single or a few presynaptic stimuli. Asynchronous transmitter release, vesicle fusion not closely time locked to presynaptic action potentials, can also be prominent under certain conditions, including repetitive stimulation. Asynchrony has often been attributed to residual Ca2+ buildup in the presynaptic terminal. We verified that a number of manipulations of Ca2+ handling and influx selectively alter asynchronous release relative to phasic transmitter release during action potential trains in cultured excitatory autaptic hippocampal neurons. To determine whether other manipulations of vesicle release probability also selectively modulate asynchrony, we probed the actions of one thoroughly studied modulator class whose actions on phasic versus asynchronous release have not been investigated. We examined the effects of the phorbol ester PDBu, which has protein kinase C (PKC) dependent and independent actions on presynaptic transmitter release. PDBu increased phasic and asynchronous release in parallel. However, while PKC inhibition had relatively minor inhibitory effects on PDBu potentiation of phasic and total release during action potential trains, PKC inhibition strongly reduced phorbol-potentiated asynchrony, through actions most evident late during stimulus trains. These results lend new insight into PKC-dependent and -independent effects on transmitter release and suggest the possibility of differential control of synchronous versus asynchronous vesicle release.

Resumen
Crowds of emotional faces are ubiquitous, so much so that the visual system utilizes a specialized mechanism known as ensemble coding to see them. In addition to being proximally close, members of emotional crowds, such as a laughing audience or an angry mob, often behave together. The manner in which crowd members behave—in sync or out of sync—may be critical for understanding their collective affect. Are ensemble mechanisms sensitive to these dynamic properties of groups? Here, observers estimated the average emotion of a crowd of dynamic faces. The members of some crowds changed their expressions synchronously, whereas individuals in other crowds acted asynchronously. Observers perceived the emotion of a synchronous group more precisely than the emotion of an asynchronous crowd or even a single dynamic face. These results demonstrate that ensemble representation is particularly sensitive to coordinated behavior, and they suggest that shared behavior is critical for understanding emotion in groups.

Resumen
This article uses a controlled output voltage-to-current converter to control the reactive power of an induction motor. The dynamic characteristics of the current converter were obtained using the Simulink program, taking into account reliability, sensitivity, measurement accuracy and error. Current converters are mainly operated during normal stable operation of the power supply system of an asynchronous motor. In this mode, when studying current transducers with certain conditional limits, the minimum and maximum values of the input current are accepted, for which the accuracy class (0.1‒1.2)∙Inom is set. Damage to electrical equipment and networks can lead to emergency operation of the power supply system of an asynchronous motor, in which case the current converters operate in dynamic mode. Short circuits in an asynchronous motor are the main reason for the operation of electromagnetic current converters in dynamic modes. The operating conditions of electromagnetic current adapters in such modes differ significantly from the operating conditions in the control system circuits. If electromagnetic current adapters are used for measurement purposes, they are usually required to operate at a primary current not exceeding the rated current and must perform their functions in the event of a fault.

The direct torque control (DTC) system of the traditional asynchronous motor has many disadvantages, such as complex modeling and large amount of calculation, In order to improve the dynamic performance of the DTC system of the asynchronous motor, a direct torque control system is put forward. It uses space vector analysis method to calculate electromagnetic torque and stator flux linkage of asynchronous motor directly, follows the change of the stator flux linkage and torque, omits the complicated calculation, reduces the dependence on motor parameters. The simulation model of the DTC system of the asynchronous motor was established using SIMULINK software package. The feasibility of method is proved in theory, The results of simulation show that the modeling and simulation of the system has good static and dynamic performance, control precision of the system is higher, the stability is better.

Resumen
In this, the first of three papers, the nature of, and motivation for, neuronal transients is described in relation to characterizing brain dynamics. This paper deals with some basic aspects of neuronal dynamics, interactions, coupling and implicit neuronal codes. The second paper develops neuronal transients and nonlinear coupling in the context of dynamic instability and complexity, and suggests that instability or lability is necessary for adaptive self–organization. The final paper addresses the role of neuronal transients through information theory and the emergence of spatio–temporal receptive fields and functional specialization. By considering the brain as an ensemble of connected dynamic systems one can show that a sufficient description of neuronal dynamics comprises neuronal activity at a particular time and its recent history. This history constitutes a neuronal transient. As such, transients represent a fundamental metric of neuronal interactions and, implicitly, a code employed in the functional integration of brain systems. The nature of transients, expressed conjointly in distinct neuronal populations, reflects the underlying coupling among populations. This coupling may be synchronous (and possibly oscillatory) or asynchronous. A critical distinction between synchronous and asynchronous coupling is that the former is essentially linear and the latter is nonlinear. The nonlinear nature of asynchronous coupling enables the rich, context–sensitive interactions that characterize real brain dynamics, suggesting that it plays a role in functional integration that may be as important as synchronous interactions. The distinction between linear and nonlinear coupling has fundamental implications for the analysis and characterization of neuronal interactions, most of which are predicated on linear (synchronous) coupling (e.g. crosscorrelograms and coherence). Using neuromagnetic data it is shown that nonlinear (asynchronous) coupling is, in fact, more abundant and can be more significant than synchronous coupling.

JavaScript has become more and more popular in recent years because its wealthy features as being dynamic, interpreted and object-oriented with first-class functions. Furthermore, JavaScript is designed with event-driven and I/O non-blocking model that boosts the performance of overall application especially in the case of Node.js. To take advantage of these characteristics, many design patterns that implement asynchronous programming for JavaScript were proposed. However, choosing a right pattern and implementing a good asynchronous source code is a challenge and thus easily lead into less robust application and low quality source code. Extended from our previous works on exception handling code smells in JavaScript and exception handling code smells in JavaScript asynchronous programming with promise, this research aims at studying the impact of three JavaScript asynchronous programming patterns on quality of source code and application.

<em>ADPN (Asynchronous Dynamic Pushdown Networks) are an abstract model for concurrent programs with recursive procedures and dynamic thread creation. Usually, asynchronous dynamic pushdown networks are described with interleaving semantics, in which the backward analysis is not effective. In order to improve interleaving semantics, tree semantics approach was introduced. This paper extends the tree semantics to ADPN. Because the reachability problem of ADPN is also undecidable, we address the context-bounded reachability problem and provide an algorithm for backward reachability analysis with tree-based semantics Approach.</em>

Resumen
Abstract This fMRI study examines the role of local and global motion information in facial movements during exposure to novel dynamic face stimuli. We found that synchronous expressions distinctively engaged medial prefrontal areas in the rostral and caudal sectors of anterior cingulate cortex (r/cACC) extending to inferior supplementary motor areas, as well as motor cortex and bilateral superior frontal gyrus (global temporal-spatial processing). Asynchronous expressions in which one part of the face unfolded before the other activated more the right superior temporal sulcus (STS) and inferior frontal gyrus (local temporal-spatial processing). These differences in temporal dynamics had no effect on visual face-responsive areas. Dynamic causal modeling analysis further showed that processing of asynchronous expression features was associated with a differential information flow, centered on STS, which received direct input from occipital cortex and projected to the amygdala. Moreover, STS and amygdala displayed selective interactions with cACC where the integration of both local and global motion cues could take place. These results provide new evidence for a role of local and global temporal dynamics in emotional expressions, extracted in partly separate brain pathways. Importantly, we show that dynamic expressions with synchronous movement cues may distinctively engage brain areas responsible for motor execution of expressions.

Resumen
In this paper, we apply a Markov decision process to find the optimal asynchronous dynamic policy of an energy-efficient data center with two server groups. Servers in Group 1 always work, while servers in Group 2 may either work or sleep, and a fast setup process occurs when the server’s states are changed from sleep to work. The servers in Group 1 are faster and cheaper than those of Group 2 so that Group 1 has a higher service priority. Putting each server in Group 2 to sleep can reduce system costs and energy consumption, but it must bear setup costs and transfer costs. For such a data center, an asynchronous dynamic policy is designed as two sub-policies: The setup policy and the sleep policy, both of which determine the switch rule between the work and sleep states for each server in Group 2. To find the optimal asynchronous dynamic policy, we apply the sensitivity-based optimization to establish a block-structured policy-based Markov process and use a block-structured policy-based Poisson equation to compute the unique solution of the performance potential by means of the RG-factorization. Based on this, we can characterize the monotonicity and optimality of the long-run average profit of the data center with respect to the asynchronous dynamic policy under different service prices. Furthermore, we prove that a bang–bang control is always optimal for this optimization problem. We hope that the methodology and results developed in this paper can shed light on the study of more general energy-efficient data centers.

Resumen
In this paper, a modeling method is presented for networked control systems (NCSs) of electric multiple units (EMUs) with packet dropout and network-induced delay. It is assumed that the induced delay is less than the sampling period T, and the event rates (scilicet, the data packets transfer successfully rates) are fixed. The NCSs in EMUs can be described as an asynchronous dynamical systems which are driven by "events" that occur asynchronously. Using the dynamic output feedback control method, the systems exponential stability is discussed when the system state is not acquirable.

Resumen
The article presents a three-phase mathematical model of asynchronous machine with wound rotor based on differential equations. The equations are resolved with respect to the derivatives of flux linkages. The description of the computer program in the Matlab Simulink that implements the model and allows to simulate transients of the asynchronous motor is present. A simulation model of a three-phase asynchronous machine with wound rotor, which allows to investigate static and dynamic operating ranges when power converters are connected to the rotor circuit has been obtained. The results of approbation of the obtained simulation model in the Matlab Simulink environment and experimental research of asynchronous engine with wound rotor, driving into the asynchronous-valve cascade, are presented. The results of experimental studies of the asynchronous machine under sinusoidal voltage using a stand based on the asynchronous-valve cascade, and comparison of the oscillograms obtained with simulation results of the proposed model are presented. The comparison of experimental and calculated oscillograms of the current of the investigated asynchronous motor can be concluded on satisfactory accuracy of the proposed model and the possibility of its application for modeling and analysis of asynchronous electric drives.

Resumen
The paper presents a new double layer three phase 3/6 pole-changing winding, with 72 slots and 6 terminals with “Y/YY with additional branches” ? “Y-Δ/YY” switching circuit. Using the discretely specified spatial function method, a two-speed asynchronous electric motor with a pole-switched winding was designed for self-propelled mine wagons, which were tested in static and dynamic modes of operation. The application areas of two-speed asynchronous motors with pole-switched windings are given. Currently, dynamic modes have not been investigated in the used two-speed engines. As the object of the study, a two-speed asynchronous motor of the AVTM - 6/12 brand of the self-propelled mine wagons drive was adopted in operating modes with no load on the shaft and when starting with a load of 500 Nm and switching to a second speed.

Resumen
This paper is concerned with the problem of controller design for switched systems under asynchronous switching with exogenous disturbances. The attention is focused on designing the feedback controller that guarantees the finite-time bounded andL∞finite-time stability of the dynamic system. Firstly, when there exists asynchronous switching between the controller and the system, a sufficient condition for the existence of stabilizing switching law for the addressed switched system is derived. It is proved that the switched system is finite-time stabilizable under asynchronous switching satisfying the average dwell-time condition. Furthermore, the problem ofL∞control for switched systems under asynchronous switching is also investigated. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Resumen
Asynchronous NOCs are most prominent in present SOC designs, due to their low dynamic power consumption, modularity, heterogeneous nature, and robustness to the process variations. Though asynchronous designs are proved efficient over synchronous counterparts, they have some severe drawbacks when area and speed are considered, due to complex handshake control circuits which increase the static power loss. Quasidelay insensitive (QDI) class of asynchronous NOCs based on 2-phase encoding is proved beneficial for speed and throughput enhancement but with complex design. The work has introduced lightweight minimal buffer router based on LEDR encoding to design a low power, high speed with compact NOC architecture. Then, minimal buffer router with FSM-based arbiter and priority assigner block is designed to enhance the speed, power, and area. This proposed work achieves zero dynamic power consumption with a total power consumption of less than 0.082 W with a router latency of 0.8 ns.
