Resumen
Swarm intelligence deals with the study of collectively intelligent behavior that emerges from a decentralized system of non-intelligent individual agents. The concept is widely used in the fields of simulation, optimization or robotics, but less known in the domain of generative art. This paper presents the swarm paradigm in the context of artistic creation, and more particularly explores the interest of enhancing swarm models with dynamics inspired from natural ecosystems. The authors introduce an energy budget to the agents of a swarm system, and show how mapping the energy level to visual information such as line width or color, combined with mechanisms such as resource chasing and consumption, enriches the search space of possible images. Moreover, the authors highlight that the approach allows the user to partially control the creation process of the drawings. The authors argue that the exploration of ecosystem dynamics in generative systems may open up novel artistic opportunities and shift the perspective from swarm art toward ecosystem art.

Resumen
Thermal comfort is a complex issue in the built environment due to the physiological and psychological differences of each individual in a building. There is a growing worry over the environmental implications of energy use as a result of the warming of the global climate and the growth in the number of instances of extreme weather events. Many review articles have been written, but these reviews have focused on a specific aspect of occupant behavior and thermal comfort. To research the trends of thermal comfort and energy, this research adopted mixed reviews, i.e., quantitative and qualitative, to understand the state-of-the-art factors affecting the thermal comfort of occupants concerning energy, different occupant modeling approaches, functions, and limitations. The in-depth qualitative discussion provides deeper insights into the impacts of occupant behaviors, factors affecting thermal comfort, and occupant behavior modeling approaches. This study classified occupant behaviors into five categories: occupant characteristics, perceptions of the occupant, realistic behaviors, heat gain, and occupant interactions with the system. It also went further to classify the factors affecting the thermal comfort of users based on past works of literature. These include structural, environmental, and human factors. It was concluded that factors that have the most significant impact on energy are human, structural, and environmental factors, respectively. In addition, most of the occupant behavior modeling approaches that have been used in past studies have pros and cons and cannot accurately predict human behaviors because they are stochastic. Future research should be conducted on thermal comfort for different building functions by examining the varied activity intensity levels of users, especially in educational or commercial buildings. Additionally, a proper investigation should be carried out on how thermal insulation of structural members influences thermal comfort. These should be compared in two similar buildings to understand occupant behavioral actions and energy consumption.

Resumen
This paper examines how consumers’ body satisfaction, beliefs about the malleability of their appearance, and incidental comparisons with upward vs. lateral social media influencers interact to affect the type of consumption behaviors they engage in. Based on propositions of the compensatory consumption behavior (CCB) model and the social comparison theory, this study employs an online experiment with a 2 (social comparison: upward/lateral) × 2 (body satisfaction: low/high) × 2 (implicit theory: entity/incremental) × 2 (product type: head- and body-related) mixed-factorial design among a sample of 192 women (19–35 years). The appearance of the influencers was manipulated (upward: thinner, primped models; lateral: average weight, natural models), as were the products being advertised, whereas body satisfaction and consumers’ implicit theory were measured. The results indicated that consumers were more persuaded to purchase products from lateral compared to upward influencers. Further, lateral influencers were more persuasive for head-related (vs. body-related) products, whereas upward influencers were more successful in promoting body-related (vs. head-related) products. A significant (p < 0.05) interaction between body satisfaction, implicit theory of appearance, and product type also emerged, supporting the proposals of the CCB model on how consumption behaviors are affected by felt discrepancies. These findings indicate that marketers can access more effective marketing results by collaborating with influencers that have a similar appearance to that of their target audience.

In this research, the paradigms changing with globalization on the consumer society, capitalism and information systems; it aims to examined through art and design as a consumption object / commodity. In the research, as a tool of the consumer society, new theories and searches that emerged with the globalization process will be presented in terms of their reflections on art and design. Art and design as a consumption object, consumer behavior, cultural formation, populism, branding etc. observed that it evolves continuously with such concepts. The concept of value that creates this motion, it is shaped around the society in the tendency to commodify. From this perspective; the main problem of the research, is the understanding of Art/ Design as a consumption object, it is shaping by changing paradigms in the social process. As a result, the determination of cultural and social norms in the formation of the consumer society seems to be very important in terms of access to the masses. In this context, to be shape or object of the time period we live in, so how to commodify, it varies according to the formation of paradigms in the process. The research, presented to the subject from this perspective, theoretically it is predicted to contribute to the literature to a great extent.

Resumen
The transportation sector remains a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. The understanding of energy-efficient driving behaviors and utilization of energy-efficient driving strategies are essential to reduce vehicles’ fuel consumption. However, there is no comprehensive investigation into energy-efficient driving behaviors and strategies. Furthermore, many state-of-the-art AI models have been applied for the analysis of eco-friendly driving styles, but no overview is available. To fill the gap, this paper conducts a thorough literature review on ecological driving behaviors and styles, and analyzes the driving factors influencing energy consumption and state-of-the-art methodologies. With a thorough scoping review process, thirty-seven articles with full text were assessed, and the methodological and related data are compared. The results show that the factors that impact driving behaviors can be summarized into eleven features including speed, acceleration, deceleration, pedal, steering, gear, engine, distance, weather, traffic signal, and road parameters. This paper finds that supervised/unsupervised learning algorithms and reinforcement learning frameworks have been popularly used to model the vehicle’s energy consumption with multi-dimensional data. Furthermore, the literature shows that the driving data are collected from either simulators or real-world experiments, and the real-world data are mainly stored and transmitted by meters, controller area networks, onboard data services, smartphones, and additional sensors installed in the vehicle. Based on driving behavior factors, driver characteristics, and safety rules, this paper recommends nine energy-efficient driving styles including four guidelines for the drivers’ selection and adjustment of the vehicle parameters, three recommendations for the energy-efficient driving styles in different driving scenarios, and two subjective suggestions for different types of drivers and employers.

Resumen
Electric motors and Internal Combustion Engine test benches allow for testing, under various conditions, the behavior of the Electric Vehicles and they are essential in the automotive field development. In this paper, we introduce the state-of-art of the control algorithms and their validation over different test runs, on the standard driving cycles. Ad-hoc simulations and test benches designed for the issue offer a significant opportunity to reduce costs. The modelling of automotive systems is a non-trivial problem due to the non-linearities. The paper presents a linearized solution and an adaptive control scheme to improve model performances starting from real data, and also discusses the behavior of the proposed system and the control law reporting emissions of the considered virtual vehicle when compared with the target emission regulations.

Resumen
The technological revolution of recent decades has already brought art to the broadest masses, and the unexpected intervention of the pandemic has significantly accelerated the process of migration of theatrical art to the virtual space, causing the corresponding dynamics of the audience. What is the theater audience in the era of digitalization and the spread of alternative forms of cultural consumption? How does the theater build its relationship with the audience today? In search of answers, we conducted a series of sociological surveys of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater’s audience — both at the theater’s performances and in the online community of its fans. The purpose of this phase of the study was to answer the fundamental questions: do spectators surveyed in the theater and those surveyed online represent the same audience; what are their main differences; and what are the drivers of their spectator behavior? The article presents the main results of a comparative analysis of two images of the Moscow Art Theatre’s audience based on a number of content parameters by two types of surveys, as well as the results of a regression analysis of the theater attendance. The study resulted in definition of the qualitative and behavioral differences between the theater visitors and the viewers surveyed online, and identification of the factors of theater attendance for both of the represented audience groups. The study made it possible to clarify the role of age and other socio-demographic parameters in cultural activity, as well as the influence of preferred forms of cultural consumption (live contacts or online views) on one’s attitude to art, motivation and spectator behavior. The conclusions of the study, despite the uniqueness of the object, reflect the general patterns of the modern art audience’s dynamics.

Resumen
The Circular Economy (CE) is gaining increasing attention among businesses, policymakers and academia, and across research disciplines. While the concept’s strong diffusion may be considered its main strength, it has also contributed to the emergence of many different understandings and definitions, which may hinder or slow down its success. Specifically, despite growing attention, the role of the consumption side in the CE remains a largely under-researched topic. In the present review, we first search the literature by means of snowball mapping and a systematic key-word strategy, and then critically analyze the identified sources in order to elucidate the fundamental elements that should characterize consumption in a CE. We extract two pillars, directly from definition, that should be at the nucleus of future research on consumption in the CE: (1) the hierarchical nature of circular strategies, with “reduce” being preferred to all other strategies; and (2) the inadequacy of defining the CE only through its loops or strategies without considering its goal of attaining sustainable development. Moreover, the discussion is placed within the extant consumer research streams deemed relevant, in order to bridge these with the context of the CE. We highlight limitations of said research streams regarding their typical focus on the quality (and not the quantity) of consumption, the lack of heterogeneity in the theories and data collection methods employed, and the non-impact-based instruments typically used to measure consumption behaviors. We show how these limitations have contributed to the emergence of the intention–behavior gap, a phenomenon extant studies identify as key to overcome for encouraging sustainable consumption practices. In particular, we focus the analysis on the intention–behavior gap in order to: (1) establish the state-of-the-art; and (2) uncover avenues for future research addressing extant limitations.

Resumen
Recommendations based on user behavior sequences are becoming more and more common. Some studies consider user behavior sequences as interests directly, ignoring the mining and representation of implicit features. However, user behaviors contain a lot of information, such as consumption habits and dynamic preferences. In order to better locate user interests, this paper proposes a Bi-GRU neural network with attention to model user’s long-term historical preferences and short-term consumption motivations. First, a Bi-GRU network is established to solve the long-term dependence problem in sequences, and attention mechanism is introduced to capture user interest changes related to the target item. Then, user’s short-term interaction trajectory based on self-attention is modeled to distinguish the importance of each potential feature. Finally, combined with long-term and short-term interests, the next behavior is predicted. We conducted extensive experiments on Amazon and MovieLens datasets. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms current state-of-the-art models in Recall and NDCG indicators. Especially in MovieLens dataset, compared with other RNN-based models, our proposed model improved at least 2.32% at Recall@20, which verifies the effectiveness of modeling long-term and short-term interest of users, respectively.

Resumen
Purpose So far, most studies in cultural tourism have looked at visitors in relation to the experience itself. This study aims to bring a broader view on what constitutes the daily environment of younger visitors and how museums could use this knowledge to develop a service delivery that is more adapted to their needs without sacrificing the museums’ integrity and authenticity. As such, this research brings a unique and deeper analysis of young visitor behavior, in relation to arts and cultural practices that could be expanded to other areas of tourism experiences. Design/methodology/approach The present study examines the main art and cultural tourism activities among adolescents. Using 32 in-depth interviews with adolescents between 13 and 18 years of age, this research takes a closer look at their experience and perceptions of art museums and exhibitions. Findings The findings show that adolescents’ perception of arts and exhibitions do not correspond to museum art criteria held by cultural tourism professionals. Based on the key theoretical themes emerging from the empirical investigation, a conceptual framework of adolescents’ attitudes toward arts and exhibitions is now presented to provide insights into the dimensions of adolescents’ art consumption in today’s western consumer society. Figure 1 provides a graphic model that visualizes adolescents’ art consumption experiences and summarizes the main findings and marketing implications in the arts field. Originality/value Based on these findings, new ways of engaging with adolescents in the field of arts are suggested to create new business opportunities for the museum. The findings lean toward the necessity to develop a more youth-centric approach, which differentiates between how adults define art and what adolescents believe art is supposed to be. Thus, the findings demonstrate that adolescents’ art consumption experiences are deeply anchored within the context of their social environment and the value judgments of their peers. The adolescent-centric logic within the arts experiential context is taken into account to underline the gap existing in many current arts marketing strategies that are targeting young visitors – and especially adolescents.

Resumen
High-risk sexual behavior consists of activities and habits that put a person at increased risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or unplanned pregnancy. Poland is currently experiencing a problem with increased STI rates, largely due to poor sexual education. Our exploratory study aims to evaluate the sexual behavior of students attending universities across Poland. The study covered 7678 students from 50 different faculties and universities across the country. The authors created an original questionnaire which consists of 31 questions which, among others, included demographic factors, sexual initiation, high-risk sexual behavior, STI’s and religious beliefs. 78% of students have participated in sexual activity, among them 19% of students had ‘casual sex’ consisting of intercourse without the use of a condom, 27% had participated in sexual intercourse after the consumption of alcohol. Our study found that students who are influenced by religious belief tend to engage in sexual activity into their later years. The groups most exposed to the consequences of risky sexual behavior are mostly homosexual men, bisexual women, art students, and military students. Alcohol consumption is a strong factor contributing to risky sexual behavior. Sexual education in Poland should be improved.

Resumen
The statistical data of different kinds of behaviors of pigs can reflect their health status. However, the traditional behavior statistics of pigs were obtained and then recorded from the videos through human eyes. In order to reduce labor and time consumption, this paper proposed a pig behavior recognition network with a spatiotemporal convolutional network based on the SlowFast network architecture for behavior classification of five categories. Firstly, a pig behavior recognition video dataset (PBVD-5) was built by cutting short clips from 3-month non-stop shooting videos, which was composed of five categories of pig’s behavior: feeding, lying, motoring, scratching and mounting. Subsequently, a SlowFast network based spatiotemporal convolutional network for the pig’s multi-behavior recognition (PMB-SCN) was proposed. The results of the networks with variant architectures of the PMB-SCN were implemented and the optimal architecture was compared with the state-of-the-art single stream 3D convolutional network in our dataset. Our 3D pig behavior recognition network showed a top-1 accuracy of 97.63% and a views accuracy of 96.35% on the test set of PBVD and a top-1 accuracy of 91.87% and a views accuracy of 84.47% on a new test set collected from a completely different pigsty. The experimental results showed that this network provided remarkable ability of generalization and possibility for the subsequent pig detection and behavior recognition simultaneously.

In simple terms, hermeneutics can be understood as the art of interpreting or understanding, ie, clarifying the problem of knowledge by investigating every detail of the interpretation process. The hermeneutic approach is beneficial, especially in exploring and interpreting the principles of the Qur'an and the Hadith regarding the policy of Muslim consumption in the current reality. To support the hermeneutic approach, the semantic method is used. This method is needed, especially in analyzing key words referred to in this study. This article concludes that Islam is a religion whose teachings regulate all human behavior in meeting their needs, one of which is consumption. In Islam, consumption is controlled by five basic principles that can be used as a fundamental statement by a person/group as a guide for thinking or acting. The 4K + 1M consumption principle is the principle of justice, the law of cleanliness, the policy of simplicity, the principle of generosity, and the faith of morality.

Resumen
AbstractBackground:Infertility has been associated with psychological distress, but whether these symptoms persist after achieving pregnancy via assisted reproductive technology (ART) remains unclear. We compared the prevalence of anxiety and depressive symptoms between women seeking for infertility treatment and women who conceived after ART or naturally. Methods:Four hundred and sixty-eight sub-fertile non-pregnant women, 2972 naturally pregnant women and 143 women pregnant after ART completed a questionnaire in this cross-sectional study. The Anxiety subscale of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS-A≥8) and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS≥12) were used for assessing anxiety and depressive symptoms, respectively. Multivariate Poisson regression models with robust variance were applied to explore associations with anxiety and depressive symptoms. Results:The prevalence of anxiety and depressive symptoms among sub-fertile, non-pregnant women (57.6% and 15.7%, respectively) were significantly higher compared to women pregnant after ART (21.1% and 8.5%, respectively) and naturally pregnant women (18.8% and 10.3%, respectively). History of psychiatric diagnosis was identified as an independent risk factor for both anxiety and depressive symptoms. The presence of at least one unhealthy lifestyle behavior (daily tobacco smoking, weekly alcohol consumption, BMI≥25, and regular physical exercise < 2 h/week) was also associated with anxiety (Prevalence Ratio, PR: 1.24; 95%CI: 1.09–1.40) and depressive symptoms (PR: 1.25; 95%CI: 1.04–1.49).Conclusions:Women pregnant after ART showed no difference in anxiety and depressive symptoms compared to naturally pregnant women. However, early psychological counseling and management of unhealthy lifestyle behaviors for sub-fertile women may be advisable, particularly for women with a previous history of psychiatric diagnosis.

Resumen
Based on a survey conducted in high schools in three countries—the Czech Republic, Italy, and Slovenia—this study investigates the factors influencing alcohol consumption among high school students. Our analysis is based on four linear regression models, with the dependent variable, Alcohol Consumption—one model for each country and a joint model for all countries. The results show that there are large differences as far as drinking habits and patterns across countries are concerned. Whereas the patterns of the Czech students are similar to those of Slovenian students, the behavior of the Italians shows more distinctive features. Factors positively related to alcohol consumption include cigarette smoking, marijuana consumption, time spent with friends (positive relations), sport activities, art engagement, and gender-female (negative relation). As factors regarding students’ psychological state are insignificant, it may be concluded that alcohol consumption among teenagers from our sample is a phenomenon that is insensitive to changes in character but sensitive to social environment and life circumstances. Our results can serve as a map showing various drinking patterns. Applicable results can be deduced.

Resumen
Diversification of artistic supply and growing competition in the market of cultural services lead to the fact that the quality of artistic product (performance, concert, exhibition) is perceived as increasingly relative and loses its former importance as a decisive argument of consumer choice. What guides people in their communication with art? What are the determinants of their consumer behavior and are there any patterns in it? The chance of overcoming communication barriers and establishing a constructive dialogue between cultural institutions and their potential audience depends on whether the answers to these and other questions will be found. The article deals with the cultural aspect of this interaction — the role of motivation and individual preferences in art consumption, their influence on people’s cultural activity. The article is based on the results of a large-scale sociological study of visitors to the State Tretyakov Gallery, conducted by a research group from the State Institute of Art Studies. The museum’s audience was studied not only by the objective parameters traditionally described by art sociologists, but also by a number of difficult-to-measure content features that go far beyond socio-demographic descriptions. The study allows us to get closer to understanding some general patterns of consumer behavior in art, to determine the nature of consumer motivations and individual preferences’ influence on cultural choice. The article proves the existence of a statistically significant connection between these subjective behavioral determinants and the measure of personal cultural capital. The use of methods of mathematical statistics and econometrics expands the traditional potential of sociology of art and provides a qualitatively new level of reliability of results.

Resumen
The apparel consumer, one of the vital stakeholders in the apparel supply chain, has a significant role to play in moving the clothing industry in a sustainable direction. From purchasing and care practice to donation and disposal, every step of their decisions impacts the environment. Various internal and external variables influence those decisions, including culture, customs, values, beliefs, norms, assumptions, economy, gender, education and others. Therefore, we believe having a scientific understanding is very important, because consumers need to be aware of what makes eco-conscious apparel behavior; only then will the circular transition be eased. However, the key concern is whether the apparel consumers are aware of this knowledge or not. Therefore, we formulated a prospective study from a life cycle thinking point of view with a key focus on synthesizing apparel consumer behavior concerning clothing acquisition, maintenance and disposal through the circular economy lens. Hence, a circular economy lens framework is proposed, followed by three research questions’ (RQ) formulation: RQ1. What is the current norm of clothing acquisition, maintenance and disposal behavior?; RQ2. Is apparel consumer clothing acquisition, maintenance and disposal behavior circular-driven?; RQ3. What is the sustainable way of clothing acquisition, maintenance and disposal? These questions are followed by circular economy lens framework development for apparel consumers. Second, following the research questions, state-of-the-art literature-driven decisions were gathered to form constructive consumer-centric decisions over the apparel lifecycle. Third, building on this synthesis, a critical discussion is offered, following the decision-tree approach to inform relevant behavioral guidelines for consumers and other stakeholders in the apparel supply chain. Overall, our findings on apparel consumer behavior through the circular economy lens could serve as new guidelines for consumers to exercise mindful clothing consumption behavior.

Resumen
The vast majority of today’s mobile malware targets Android devices. An important task of malware analysis is the classification of malicious samples into known families. In this paper, we propose AndroDFA (DFA, detrended fluctuation analysis): an approach to Android malware family classification based on dynamic analysis of resource consumption metrics available from the proc file system. These metrics can be easily measured during sample execution. From each malware, we extract features through detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) and Pearson’s correlation, then a support vector machine is employed to classify malware into families. We provide an experimental evaluation based on malware samples from two datasets, namely Drebin and AMD. With the Drebin dataset, we obtained a classification accuracy of 82%, comparable with works from the state-of-the-art like DroidScribe. However, compared to DroidScribe, our approach is easier to reproduce because it is based on publicly available tools only, does not require any modification to the emulated environment or Android OS, and by design, can also be used on physical devices rather than exclusively on emulators. The latter is a key factor because modern mobile malware can detect the emulated environment and hide its malicious behavior. The experiments on the AMD dataset gave similar results, with an overall mean accuracy of 78%. Furthermore, we made the software we developed publicly available, to ease the reproducibility of our results.

Resumen
With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, distributed energy generation and storage facilities in smart grid systems, an efficient Demand-Side Management (DSM) is urgent for energy savings and peak loads reduction. Traditional DSM works focusing on optimizing the energy activities for a single household can not scale up to large-scale home energy management problems. Multi-agent Deep Reinforcement Learning (MA-DRL) shows a potential way to solve the problem of scalability, where modern homes interact together to reduce energy consumers consumption while striking a balance between energy cost and peak loads reduction. However, it is difficult to solve such an environment with the non-stationarity, and existing MA-DRL approaches cannot effectively give incentives for expected group behavior. In this paper, we propose a collective MA-DRL algorithm with continuous action space to provide fine-grained control on a large scale microgrid. To mitigate the non-stationarity of the microgrid environment, a novel predictive model is proposed to measure the collective market behavior. Besides, a collective behavior entropy is introduced to reduce the high peak loads incurred by the collective behaviors of all householders in the smart grid. Empirical results show that our approach significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods regarding power cost reduction and daily peak loads optimization.

Resumen
Reducing carbon emissions from buildings is crucial to achieving global carbon neutrality targets. However, the building sector faces various challenges, such as low accuracy in forecasting, lacking effective methods of measurements and accounting in terms of energy consumption and emission reduction. Fortunately, relevant studies demonstrate that artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technologies could significantly increase the accuracy of building energy consumption prediction. The results can be used for building operation management to achieve emission reduction goals. For this, in this article, we overview the existing state-of-the-art methods on AI and big data for building energy conservation and low carbon. The capacity of machine learning technologies in the fields of energy conservation and environmental protection is also highlighted. In addition, we summarize the existing challenges and prospects for reference, e.g., in the future, accurate prediction of building energy consumption and reasonable planning of human behavior in buildings will become promising research directions.

Resumen
The customer base is the most valuable resource to E-commerce companies. A comprehensive understanding of customers’ preferences and behavior is crucial to developing good marketing strategies, in order to achieve optimal customer lifetime values (CLVs). For example, by exploring customer behavior patterns, given a marketing plan with a limited budget, a set of potential customers is able to be identified to maximize profit. In other words, personalized campaigns at the right time and in the right place can be treated as the last stage of consumption. Moreover, effective future purchase estimation and recommendation help guide the customer to the up-selling stage. The proposed willing-to-pay prediction model (W2P) exploits the transaction data to predict customer payment behavior based on a probabilistic graphical model, which provides semantic explanation of the estimated results and deals with the sparsity of payment data from each customer. Existing work in this domain ranks the customers by their probabilities of purchase in different conditions. However, the customer with the highest purchase probability does not necessarily spend the most. Therefore, we propose a CLV maximization algorithm based on the prediction results. In addition, we improve the model by behavioral segmentation wherein we group the customers by payment behaviors to reduce the size of the offline models and enhance the accuracy for low-frequency customers. The experiment results show that our model outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in purchase behavior prediction.

HighlightsExisting tracking methods face challenges in accuracy and robustness.FishMOT (Multiple Object Tracking for Fish) is a novel fish-tracking approach combining object detection and IoU matching.FishMOT outperforms state-of-the-art multi-target trackers and specialized fish-tracking tools on several metrics. The simplified workflow and strong performance make FishMOT a highly effective fish-tracking approach.Abstract. Fish tracking plays a vital role in understanding fish behavior and ecology. However, existing tracking methods face challenges in accuracy and robustness due to morphological changes in fish, occlusion, and complex environments. This article proposes FishMOT (Multiple Object Tracking for Fish), a novel fish tracking approach combining object detection and IoU (Intersection over Union) matching, including a basic module, an interaction module, and a refind module. Wherein, a basic module performs target association based on the IoU of detection boxes between successive frames to deal with the morphological change of fish; an interaction module combines the IoU of detection boxes and the IoU of fish entities to handle occlusions; and a refind module uses spatio-temporal information to overcome the tracking failure resulting from the missed detection by the detector in a complex environment. FishMOT reduces the computational complexity and memory consumption since it does not require complex feature extraction or identity assignment per fish and does not need a Kalman filter to predict the detection boxes of successive frames. Experimental results demonstrate FishMOT outperforms state-of-the-art multi-object trackers and specialized fish tracking tools in terms of MOTA (Multiple Object Tracking Accuracy), accuracy, computation time, memory consumption, etc. Furthermore, the method exhibits excellent robustness and generalizability for varying environments and fish numbers. The simplified workflow and strong performance make FishMOT a highly effective fish-tracking approach. The source codes and pre-trained models are available at: https://github.com/gakkistar/FishMOT. Resumen
The present research study explores three types of neural network approaches for forecasting natural gas consumption in fifteen cities throughout Greece; a simple perceptron artificial neural network (ANN), a state-of-the-art Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and the proposed deep neural network (DNN). In this research paper, a DNN implementation is proposed where variables related to social aspects are introduced as inputs. These qualitative factors along with a deeper, more complex architecture are utilized for improving the forecasting ability of the proposed approach. A comparative analysis is conducted between the proposed DNN, the simple ANN, and the advantageous LSTM, with the results offering a deeper understanding the characteristics of Greek cities and the habitual patterns of their residents. The proposed implementation shows efficacy on forecasting daily values of energy consumption for up to four years. For the evaluation of the proposed approach, a real-life dataset for natural gas prediction was used. A detailed discussion is provided on the performance of the implemented approaches, the ANN and the LSTM, that are characterized as particularly accurate and effective in the literature, and the proposed DNN with the inclusion of the qualitative variables that govern human behavior, which outperforms them.

Resumen
Minimizing fuel consumption of passenger car vehicles can be achieved thanks to hybridization of the powertrain associated with innovative engine technologies. To feed the new high compression ratio combustion systems, air system cutting-edge technologies are used to manage air and EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) quantities. Increasing EGR allows us to improve engine consumption in the high efficiency area, but it comes at the cost of a loss of stability. It is then of primary importance to be able to manage the engine near the stability limit to minimize fuel consumption. So far, the stability limit is managed in open-loop thanks to conservative calibration of the EGR quantity, implying efficiency losses. This paper addresses the combustion stability feedback control using in-cylinder pressure sensors. From this information, an indicator of stability is proposed, offering a more robust behavior in transient situations than state-of-the-art indicators. This indicator is then used to feed a controller that adapts the open-loop EGR target to go towards the stability limit. Experimental results obtained on a high efficiency gasoline engine stress the relevance of the approach in minimizing fuel consumption under real driving conditions.

Resumen
This article aims at analyzing the constituent elements of a criminal offense, based on Art. 278 § 5 k.k. The result of the analysis is the conclusion that in practice, only electricity can be the object of that offense. Therefore it must be specified accordingly in the provision of Art. 278 § 5 k.k. The study of literature led to the conclusion that the authors often mistakenly specify the object of that crime in a manner contrary to the principles of physics. This article presents the disputed issue of classifying the energy consumption by an entity authorized under an agreement with the provider, but with an understatement of the amounts of energy consumed by that entity. The author concluded that the classification of such act is possible based on Art. 278 § 5 and 286 § 1 k.k., depending on the definition of the result of an act which, at the time it was committed, was liable to evaluation under criminal law. The analysis also includes the controversial legal case of conscious use of energy consumed by the means of an illegal tapping into the power grid or causing a malfunction in a device designed to measure the amount of energy consumed by other persons who have not committed such an action. The study of literature led to the conclusion that according to the currently prevailing view such behavior does not fulfill the constituent elements of a crime. The author further concludes that due to the difficulties with the determination of the value of the object in question during the taking of evidence, the act of „stealing” electricity has rightly not undergone decriminalization; which could otherwise result in allegations on the grounds of infringement of the substantive law.

Resumen
AbstractAs an effect of climate change, cities need detailed information on urban climates at decision scale that cannot be easily delivered using current observation networks, nor global and even regional climate models. A review is presented of the recent literature and recommendations are formulated for future work. In most cities, historical observational records are too short, discontinuous, or of too poor quality to support trend analysis and climate change attribution. For climate modeling, on the other hand, specific dynamical and thermal parameterization dedicated to the exchange of water and energy between the atmosphere and the urban surfaces have to be implemented. Therefore, to fully understand how cities are impacted by climate change, it is important to have (1) simulations of the urban climate at fine spatial scales (including coastal hazards for coastal cities) integrating global climate scenarios with urban expansion and population growth scenarios and their associated uncertainty estimates, (2) urban climate observations, especially in Global South cities, and (3) spatial data of high resolution on urban structure and form, human behavior, and energy consumption.

The article explores the problem of the independent possibility exercise of the right to protection of persons with disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances, addictive behavior and the need for mandatory application of paragraph 3 of Part 2 of Art. 52 of the CCP of Ukraine, according to which "mandatory participation of a defender is ensured in criminal proceedings against persons who, due to mental or physical disabilities (dumb, deaf, blind, etc.), are unable to fully exercise their rights - from the moment of their establishment", in cases involving such persons and, accordingly, the establishment of defects which indicate an inability to fully exercise their right. The purpose of the article is to investigate the issue of exercising the right to protect persons with disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances, addictive behavior. The author analyzed the legal position of the Supreme Court and scientific developments in this area and made a comparison of their conclusions. In addition, the results of the study of patients diagnosed with "mental and behavioral disorders due to alcohol consumption, addiction syndrome" are presented to support the arguments. The analysis uses the results of the study of patients who were examined and treated at the narcological ward of the Odessa Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital №1, partially reflecting psychiatric and behavioral disorders that result from substance abuse, addictive behavior. The conclusion is made on the basis of the stated data on the obligation to apply paragraph 3 of Part 2 of Art. 52 of the CCP of Ukraine in cases where the defendant is a person with disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances, addictive behavior. Psychological defects of a person with disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances, addictive behavior alone are not confirmation of the inability of the accused (convicted) to fully exercise their rights, and, accordingly, the mandatory application of paragraph 3 of Part 2 of Art. 52 of the CCP of Ukraine, because the perception of a person with disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances, addictive behavior reflects the reality to the extent that is sufficient to create the preconditions for complete intellectual activity. The of substantiated that the issue of the application of Clause 3 Part 2 of art. 52 The CPC of Ukraine must be addressed based on a complex of circumstances of the case, not only in the presence of evidence of the stay of persons on special accounts and on inpatient treatment with the diagnosis of "disorder of mentality and behavior as a result of narcotic drugs, Psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors".

Innovative interventions addressing childhood obesity are needed to capture the attention of youth living in a multi-media environment. The purpose of this paper is to describe the qualitative study that was conducted to inform the development of an appealing manga comic (Japanese comic art) to promote fruit consumption in youth and the process of creating the comic. Seven focus groups and two interviews (N=28) were conducted with middle-school students to better understand such topics as enjoyable components of manga comics and important health concepts. Two researchers independently analyzed each transcript using ATLAS.ti. Inductive and deductive processes were used to identify codes (ideas emerging from text); similar codes were grouped into themes. Most frequently mentioned themes related to enjoyable components of manga comics were detailed graphics and artistic style of text used to convey sound effects. The majority said eating fruits and vegetables was the most important nutrition behavior for proper health. When asked about story ideas for a manga comic to encourage youth to be healthy, many responded with ideas involving comic characters who would consume fruit, then gain beneficial attributes. Others suggested highlighting more practical benefits, such as increased focus and energy. These findings informed the development of a 30-page manga comic promoting fruit consumption, with the aim of developing an appealing storyline and relatable characters for youth. Manga comics may be able to create an entertaining learning environment that has potential to promote positive dietary behaviors in youth.

The periods of the Ming and Qing dynasties featured prosperous socioeconomic development; the development of industrial, commercial, and manufacturing production; and active urban consumer behavior with great advocacy for the doctrines of Confucius and Mencius in the imperial court, and extensive promotion of refined elegance of benevolence, righteousness, ritual, and wisdom among the public. Under the influence of such an objective environment, lacquerware, as China’s most ancient traditional form of artwork, also functioned as significant historical evidence for the development of the urban handicraft industry. Assuming a social role between ritual items and daily items, the development of lacquer arts was closely bound up with Confucian ritual spirituality. Based on relevant cultural relic data and documents in the literature, this study takes lacquer as a mirror with regard to the progress of the trend of lacquer culture and lacquer art during the Ming and Qing dynasties as the clue, and analyzes the embodied features of lacquer art design function, modeling, and themes to discuss the influence of Confucian ritual spirituality on social consumption.

The paper starts with a discussion on sustainable consumption and marketing in the particular context of fashion and ends with potential research gaps, which have scope for further work. For the analysis, 97 research papers were selected based on a structured, systematic search with a particular set of keywords. The review finds that marketing SF from a customer’s perspective has been emphasized in the existing literature. Widely studied topics include consumer behavior, purchase behavior, and the attitude–behavior gap. Further research is required to explore how SF can gain from B2B marketing, circular economy, sustainability-oriented innovations, and subsistence markets, particularly in emerging economies. This paper contributes to theory and practice by providing state-of-the-art sustainable fashion marketing research, identifying research gaps, and providing future research directions.

Resumen
The #MeToo movement has put a spotlight on sexual harassment and abuse in a number of industries, notably the arts. It has raised a set of questions about how to receive the artistic works of the accused, particularly when such work has been beloved or formative for an individual, and collectively when it has cultural significance and influence. Claire Dederer, writing in The Paris Review, posed the question bluntly in her piece, “What Do We Do with the Art of Monstrous Men?” This question, and the range of (often perplexed) responses to it, reveal the lack of adequate resources to evaluate responses to an artist’s actions that may bear on our aesthetic valuations of the artist’s work and that may be experienced as quite intimately personal. What do we do with the sense of betrayal that may follow on the discovery of an artist’s bad behavior? What are the implications of consuming of such art? What concepts and norms might help to guide reflection? These questions bear on the ethical significance of love and appreciation for artworks and artists, and, more broadly, the ethical consumption of artworks. This paper responds to these questions in two ways: first, it develops an account of “aesthetic involvement” to elaborate the sense of betrayal that may follow accusations or revelations of sexual harassment and abuse. Second, it proposes a feminist ethics of aesthetic involvement in response to such betrayals and to dilemmas about the individual and collective ethical consumption of artworks.

Resumen
Prediction of student performance in the academic field creates significant challenges in developing reliable and accurate diagnosis models. Through the use of online learning behavior data, this paper may assist teachers in identifying students with learning challenges in advance and providing timely assistance. A novel technique called Tukey Regressive Hoover indexed Deep Shift Invariant Structure Neural Network (TRHIDSISNN) Model is introduced for student behaviour analysis with lesser time consumption. Initially, the student data and features are collected and transmitted to the input layer. After that, the features of collected student data are analyzed in hidden layer 1 with help of the Tukey Regression. The correlation between one or more independent features is identified to find the dependent feature. The relevant features are sent to the hidden layer 2. In that layer, the Hoover index is applied for analyzing the training and testing features. Finally, the hidden layer result is sent to the output layer where the hyperbolic tangent activation function is used to classify the data that belongs to that particular class. Based on the classification, the student grade level is predicted as high, medium and low based on their behavior gets displayed. Experimental assessment is carried out using different parameters such as prediction accuracy, false-positive rate, prediction time, and space complexity with respect to the number of student data. The discussed results show that when compared to state-of-the-art approaches, the suggested TRHIDSISNN model achieves higher accuracy with shorter prediction times.

Resumen
Non-intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) is a critical technology that enables detailed analysis of household energy consumption without requiring individual metering of every appliance, and has the capability to provide valuable insights into energy usage behavior, facilitate energy conservation, and optimize load management. Currently, deep learning models have been widely adopted as state-of-the-art approaches for NILM. In this study, we introduce DiffNILM, a novel energy disaggregation framework that utilizes diffusion probabilistic models to distinguish power consumption patterns of individual appliances from aggregated power. Starting from a random Gaussian noise, the target waveform is iteratively reconstructed via a sampler conditioned on the total active power and encoded temporal features. The proposed method is evaluated on two public datasets, REDD and UKDALE. The results demonstrated that DiffNILM outperforms baseline models on several key metrics on both datasets and shows a remarkable ability to effectively recreate complex load signatures. The study highlights the potential of diffusion models to advance the field of NILM and presents a promising approach for future energy disaggregation research.

Resumen
Alkali-activated slag (AAS) has emerged as a potentially sustainable alternative to ordinary Portland cement (OPC) in various applications since OPC production contributed about 12% of global CO2 emissions in 2020. AAS offers great ecological advantages over OPC at some levels such as the utilization of industrial by-products and overcoming the issue of disposal, low energy consumption, and low greenhouse gas emission. Apart from these environmental benefits, the novel binder has shown enhanced resistance to high temperatures and chemical attacks. However, many studies have mentioned the risk of its considerably higher drying shrinkage and early-age cracking compared to OPC concrete. Despite the abundant research on the self-healing mechanism of OPC, limited work has been devoted to studying the self-healing behavior of AAS. Self-healing AAS is a revolutionary product that provides the solution for these drawbacks. This study is a critical review of the self-healing ability of AAS and its effect on the mechanical properties of AAS mortars. Several self-healing approaches, applications, and challenges of each mechanism are taken into account and compared regarding their impacts.

Resumen
AbstractAcross former Eastern Europe, the transition from state socialism toward neoliberal capitalism has been accompanied by a marked reduction in emphasis on working-class identities. Because of the centrality of class to socialist-era identity-construction projects, the recent and relatively sudden ascendancy of various forms of individualist, consumption-oriented subjectivity in postrevolutionary societies has produced conflicts that are often more visible than in societies where capitalism has been the accepted economic paradigm for much longer. This shift can be seen in the realm of art and visual culture: Images of the worker once dominated public spaces under state socialism, competing in number with representations of leaders and communist ideologues, but since 1989 they have often been vandalized, dismantled, or else relocated to decay in relative obscurity. Where new public images of the worker do appear in postsocialist neoliberal conditions, they frequently serve as nexuses of controversy, where generational and ideological conflicts regarding current labor conditions and the legacy of worker solidarity play out. The debates surrounding representations of workers in postsocialism are both part of a global history of postsocialist art and part of the history of labor and its relation to contemporary urban space. This article examines artistic representations of the worker sited in public space in postsocialist Albania, in order to map the political and artistic discourses that animate engagements with working-class identity in conditions of neoliberal social transformation.

Resumen
The continued rise in global energy consumption, along with the associated environmental hazards, pose a significant risk to our society’s infrastructure unless the main source is changed. Electrocatalysis involving hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR), and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), provide a pathway for energy storage and conversion due to their enhanced environmental friendliness and efficient energy input compared to their thermocatalytic counterparts. Currently, the state-of-the-art electrocatalysts suffer from scarcity and high cost. MXenes, a novel family of two-dimensional (2D) transition metal carbide and nitride materials, show potential as cost-efficient and highly abundant electrocatalysts with limited knowledge on their electrocatalytic mechanisms. This is especially true when considering the often-overlooked nitride family of MXenes. Herein, we investigate the electrocatalytic performance of a Ti2N nitride MXene under different electrocatalytic conditions. The effect of surface phenomena is investigated through manipulation of the surface passivation layer, as evidenced by Raman and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopies, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Successful decoupling of the bulk and surface phenomena is achieved through Raman laser power attenuation. Under acidic medium, the surface reactivity towards HER is poor but the bulk reactivity for NRR is favored, making it an optimal NRR catalyst. Under alkaline medium, the surface reactivity of the pristine Ti2N MXene for ORR is high, but also leads to surface passivation and thus hinders the electrocatalytic activity. Overall, these results provide fundamental insights into future optimization strategies of the Ti2N nitride MXene, along with other MXene electrocatalysts, towards electrocatalytic applications.

Resumen
The article investigates the phenomenon of growing popularity of art-house cinema in the twentieth century. The possibilities and success of art-house cinema as an instrument of research of socio-cultural problems of the past, present and future are considered. The formation of contemporary art house cinema and the growing interest in it by various social groups determine the relevance of the art house. It is this direction of cinema that affects the most acute socio-cultural transformations of modern society, in parallel contributing to the establishment of new social interactions, the formation of behavior models and values of the audience. The urgency of the socio-cultural study of the phenomenon of art-house cinema determines the need for the development of a conceptual apparatus that can serve as a tool for further theoretical and practical research. Art cinema is considered as a practice of leisure and consumption of a cultural product, as an institutionalized social practice, and an artistic film - as a means of existence and translation of normative-value content. The result of the socio-cultural analysis of the arthouse was the discovery of the main factors that influence the choice of the individual of a certain type of cinema. Identifying and analyzing these factors, for example, arthouse and mainstream, as well as studying a number of interdisciplinary approaches to studying the cinematic preferences of the audience, allowed us to propose a scheme for explaining the demand for various cinematic trends, which combines individual, institutional and socio-cultural factors, the definitions of which can reveal trends in cinematic preferences of the studied community, and vice versa, information about the cinematic flavors of the group under study makes it possible to make n ypuschennya it on such factors as education, income and so on. As an example of the development of Ukrainian cinema, the trends of the art house during the Independence period were analyzed, on the basis of which the features of the country’s exhibit in elite circles were determined.

Resumen
Background: The increasing population of humans, changing food consumption behavior, as well as the recent developments in the awareness for food sustainability, lead to new challenges for the production of food. Advances in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, including Machine Learning and data analytics, might help to account for these challenges. Scope and Approach: Several research perspectives, among them Precision Agriculture, Industrial IoT, Internet of Food, or Smart Health, already provide new opportunities through digitalization. In this paper, we review the current state-of-the-art of the mentioned concepts. An additional concept is Food Informatics, which so far is mostly recognized as a mainly data-driven approach to support the production of food. In this review paper, we propose and discuss a new perspective for the concept of Food Informatics as a supportive discipline that subsumes the incorporation of information technology, mainly IoT and AI, in order to support the variety of aspects tangent to the food production process and delineate it from other, existing research streams in the domain. Key Findings and Conclusions: Many different concepts related to the digitalization in food science overlap. Further, Food Informatics is vaguely defined. In this paper, we provide a clear definition of Food Informatics and delineate it from related concepts. We corroborate our new perspective on Food Informatics by presenting several case studies about how it can support the food production as well as the intermediate steps until its consumption, and further describe its integration with related concepts.

Resumen
This paper proposes a novel approach suitable to design energy-efficient approximate multipliers using both ASIC and FPGAs. The new strategy harnesses specific encoding logics based on bit significance and computes the approximate product performing accurate sub-multiplications by applying an unconventional approach instead of using approximate computational modules implementing traditional static or dynamic bit-truncation approaches. The proposed platform-independent architecture exhibits an energy saving of up to 80% over the accurate counterparts and significantly better behavior in terms of accuracy loss with respect to competitor approximate architectures. When employed in 2D digital filters and edge detectors, the novel approximate multipliers lead to an energy consumption up to ~82% lower than the accurate counterparts, which is up to ~2 times higher than that obtained by state-of-the-art competitors.

Texto completo
Resumen
Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are developed to reduce fuel consumption and the emission of carbon dioxide. Common powertrain configurations of PHEVs (i.e., the configuration of the combustion engine, electric motor, and transmission) can be operated either in series, parallel, or power split hybrid mode, whereas powertrain configurations with multimode transmissions enable switching between those modes during vehicle operation. Hence, depending on the current operation state of the vehicle, the most appropriate mode in terms efficiency can be selected. This, however, requires an operating strategy, which controls the mode selection as well as the torque distribution between the combustion engine and electric motor with the aim of optimal battery depletion and minimal fuel consumption. A well-known approach is the equivalent consumption minimization strategy (ECMS). It can be applied by using optimizations based on a prediction of the future driving behavior. Since the outcome of the ECMS depends on the quality of this prediction, it is crucial to know how accurate the predictions must be in order to obtain acceptable results. In this contribution, various prediction methods and real-time capable ECMS implementations are analyzed and compared in terms of the achievable fuel economy. The basis for the analysis is a holistic model of a state-of-the-art PHEV powertrain configuration, comprising the multimode transmission, corresponding powertrain components, and representative real-world driving data.
