Resumen
Currently, computer simulation in virtual reality systems has a special status. In order for a computer model to meet the requirements of the tasks it models, it is necessary that the mathematical apparatus correctly describe the simulated phenomena. In this monograph, the simulation of pursuit problems is carried out. An adaptive modeling of the behavior of both pursuers and targets is carried out. An iterative calculation of the trajectories of the participants in the pursuit problem is carried out. The main attention is paid to the methods of pursuit and parallel rendezvous. These methods are taken as the basis of the study and are modified in the future. The scientific novelty of the study is the iterative calculation of the trajectories of the participants in the pursuit task when moving at a constant speed, while following the predicted trajectories. The predicted trajectories form a one-parameter network of continuous lines of the first order of smoothness. The predicted trajectories are calculated taking into account the restrictions on the curvature of the participant in the pursuit problem. The fact of restrictions on curvature can be interpreted as restrictions on the angular frequency of rotation of the object of the pursuit problem. Also, the novelty is the calculation of the iterative process of group pursuit of multiple targets, when targets are hit simultaneously or at specified intervals. The calculation of the parameters of the network of predicted trajectories is carried out with a curvature variation in order to achieve the desired temporal effect. The work also simulates the adaptive behavior of the pursuer and the target. The principle of behavior can be expressed on the example of a pursuer with a simple phrase: "You go to the left - I go to the left." This happens at each iteration step in terms of choosing the direction of rotation. For the purpose, the principle of adaptive behavior is expressed by the phrase: "You go to the left - I go to the right." The studies, algorithms and models presented in the monograph can be in demand in the design of autonomously controlled unmanned aerial vehicles with elements of artificial intelligence. The task models in the monograph are supplemented with many animated images, where you can see the research process. Also, the tasks have an implementation in a computer mathematics system and can be transferred to virtual reality systems if necessary.

Resumen
This chapter discusses the spin-transfer effect, which is described as the transfer of the spin angular momentum between the conduction electrons and the magnetization of the ferromagnet that occurs due to the conservation of the spin angular momentum. L. Berger, who introduced the concept in 1984, considered the exchange interaction between the conduction electron and the localized magnetic moment, and predicted that a magnetic domain wall can be moved by flowing the spin current. The spin-transfer effect was brought into the limelight by the progress in microfabrication techniques and the discovery of the giant magnetoresistance effect in magnetic multilayers. Berger, at the same time, separately studied the spin-transfer torque in a system similar to Slonczewski’s magnetic multilayered system and predicted spontaneous magnetization precession.

Resumen
This chapter discusses interconversion phenomena between spin and mechanical angular momtum. In moving objects, the spin gauge fields emerge from inertial effects and produce angular momentum transfer between mechanical motion and spin. Such spin-mechanial effects are predicted by quantum theory in non-inertial frames, and confirmed by recent experiments including the resonance frequency shift in NMR, the stray field measurement of rotating metals, and the inverse spin Hall voltage generation in liquied metals. These spin-mechanical effects that arise via the spin-gauge fields open a new field of spintornics, where spin and mechanical motion couple harmoniously.

Resumen
The vestibular system contains semicircular canals that respond to angular acceleration and otoconial organs that respond to linear acceleration of the head. Information is sent to the motor system and, under normal circumstances, does not lead to conscious perception. Yet damage to the vestibular system can result in disequilibrium or vertigo, disturbing perceptions that dominate conscious experience. The shared residence of the cochlear and vestibular end organs in the inner ear can give rise to inner ear disorders such as Ménière’s disease. The effect of gravity on the otoconial masses in the sacculus and utriculus enable detection of static head tilt. Age-related disequilibrium, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, motion sickness, and alcohol intoxication–induced vertigo are explained. How natural head movements elicit combined canal and otoconial organ responses is described. Finally, the dependence of posture and gaze on vestibular inputs is introduced as a segue to the next chapter.

Resumen
This chapter centres around the treatment of QCD emissions to all orders. After introductory remarks about the analytic properties of the radiation pattern, some of the most striking phenomenological consequences of non-trivial quantum effects, in particular, the angular ordering property of QCD, are highlighted. Next, analytic resummation techniques are considered, expanding on the treatment of transverse momentum resummation from Chapter 2, and introducing the idea of threshold resummation. BFKL resummation, which resums large logarithms emerging in the high-energy limit, is also introduced. In the second part of this chapter, the probabilistic simulation of QCD radiation through the parton shower is discussed. After a detailed introduction to different schemes and algorithms, the discussion of the combination of the parton shower with fixed-order matrix elements beyond the Born approximation is considered, with a discussion of matching with NLO calculations and the merging with multijet matrix elements.

Resumen
The most important practical aspects of the performance of calorimeter systems are reviewed. Each aspect is illustrated with examples published in the scientific literature. One of the most important performance characteristics is the energy resolution, which is shown separately for electrons, hadrons and jets. The same distinction is also made for the position and angular resolutions that are achieved in practice. The time characteristics of the calorimeter signals, which are important for a variety of purposes (e.g. pile-up), depend on the signal generation mechanism (Cherenkov, scintillation). The e/h values of different types of calorimeters, as well as the effects of non-compensation in these devices (non-linearity, line shape, resolution), are reviewed. It is shown how calorimeter data can be used for particle identification purposes, and how the granularity affects the capability to recognize close doublets as such. The chapter ends with a brief review of the different tasks typically carried out by calorimeters in modern experiments.
