Resumen
According to the American Cancer Society, roughly 54,000 new cases of oral cavity or oropharyngeal cancers have been detected in the United States of America in 2021, and they will cause about 10,850 deaths. The main therapies for cancer management, such as surgery and radio- and chemotherapy, have some own benefits, albeit they are often destructive for surrounding tissues; thus, deep investigations into non-surgical treatments for oral cavities are needed. Biologically active compounds (BACs) extracted from European Spruce needles were analyzed to determine the total phenolic and flavonoid content and were used as additional ingredients for oral hygiene products. An anti-proliferation investigation was carried out using extracts containing BACs with the use of several cell lines (cancer and a normal one). ESI-MS studies on BACs showed that luteolin, a natural flavonoid compound with anti-tumorigenic properties against various types of tumors, is the predominant component of the extracts. MTT, BrdU, and LIVE/DEAD studies demonstrated that BAC extracts obtained from Christmas tree needles possess anticancer properties against squamous cell carcinoma (with epithelial origins). We proved that BAC extracts contain high amounts of luteolin, which induces cytotoxicity toward cancer cells; along with their high selectivity, robustness, and nontoxicity, they are very promising materials in oral health applications.

Resumen
Introduction. The relevance of the research is connected with the need of modern Russian pedagogical science to study the patterns and features of the development of American public thought and pedagogy. The purpose of the study is to study the process of formation of the trend of pragmatism and efficiency in American public thought and pedagogy in the first half of the XX century. Methods and methodological approaches. The leading research methods are a critical analysis of the original scientific and pedagogical literature, mainly of the American authors, and a scientific and pedagogical interpretation of the information contained in the sources; comparative and historical methods, as well as an axiological approach that allows us to identify the value essence of the phenomena and facts. Results. The idea of practicality, entrepreneurship and efficiency was most clearly manifested in the United States, which was due to the rapid development of capitalism, large-scale production, mass entrepreneurship and scientific and technological progress. The fascination with efficiency increased public attention to those institutions of public life that were "suspected" of indelicacy and inefficient management. The school was declared an inefficient institution that could not stand comparison with industrial enterprises according to the criteria of efficiency and economy. Such a superficial understanding of the educational process was in the interests of those who would like to reduce the school budget, first of all, military monopolies. In American pedagogy, the definition of a busy person as a productive person making a visible and significant contribution to the common cause has appeared. Such a person has a rich imagination, is receptive to new things, shows a creative, innovative approach to solving life problems; shows responsibility in relationships with other people. A businesslike person is characterized by independence, perseverance, altruism, a high degree of self-control, a highly developed sense of understanding moral values, and an optimistic approach to life. The concepts of genius, talent, giftedness, according to J. F. Gilmore, are outdated. Instead, he proposed the term self-actualization, which, in his opinion, reflected the human desire for self-realization. Discussions. The philosophy and practice of pragmatism largely continues to determine school educational policy in the United States. One of the most important tasks of training J. E. Davis and F. M. Hetchinger proclaimed the ability to "look good in case of changes", the acquisition of skills that can be sold on the labor market. The presence of these skills should allow the individual to integrate into society, adapt to life. An important way to achieve these objectives was the revision of school curricula in the direction of their greater practical orientation. E. Thorndike supported the idea of reducing the proportion of general education subjects, referring to practical needs. He put into practice the idea that mathematics, physics, chemistry and natural science are equivalent in importance to such applied subjects as home economics, cooking, shorthand, sewing, chemistry in everyday life. As a result, the list of academic disciplines was significantly expanded in secondary school. Among them are driving a car, small aviation, personal hygiene, mental hygiene, people's relationships, child care, writing plays, amateur theater, educational radio and television. Those who tried to criticize the current situation with the content and number of subjects were declared backward people whose views do not correspond to practical America. The pragmatists J. A. Logsdon, V. M. Kerensky, M. Kig, F. Koppel, M. Kohler and others proclaimed "both the alphabet and the road to the ticket office", i.e. both knowledge and their practical application in life. At the same time, they clearly preferred teaching practical skills, even without deep theoretical knowledge. Conclusions. The philosophy and practice of pragmatism have largely determined and continue to determine the policy of school education in the United States. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a meaningful analysis of the scientific views of a number of American pragmatists, who had not previously been the subject of careful study by domestic comparative educators. At the same time, the study of the views of the leading teachers of the USA is relevant and important for Russian science due to their undoubtedly significant influence on the formation of the global educational space. The prospects for further research are connected with the study of the scientific attitudes of modern American scientists and educators.

Resumen
Ball pythons (family Pythonidae) remain a commonly exploited species, readily available for purchase in North America and Europe. We assessed the housing conditions of more than 5000 Ball pythons across six exotic pet expositions and 113 YouTube videos. We scored provisions for hygiene, mobility, shelter, substrate and water provision, based on the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals (RSPCA) minimum guidelines. We found most entities involved in this commercial enterprise are not providing housing conditions that meet the minimum welfare recommendations for Ball pythons, either publicly or privately. We found that breeders and vendors typically utilised small and highly restrictive enclosures, with dimensions that prevented occupants from extending their bodies to full and unrestricted natural length. Our study also highlights that most vendors are not providing adequate written husbandry guidance to potential consumers, either at exotic pet expositions, on their commercial website, or on associated social media pages. Furthermore, our study also indicates that most potential consumers may themselves be unable to recognise unsuitable housing conditions that do not meet minimum animal welfare standards for Ball pythons. We suggest that more consistent guidance, adherence to agree principles and more potent operating models that are formally incorporated into relevant legislation would greatly aid existing and future efforts to safeguard animal welfare in this regard.

Resumen
The article examines modern theories of economic development in the context of social aspects. The aim of the study is to generalize the social aspects of modern economic theories of development to determine the trajectory and possible directions of social policy. The essence and evolution of models of economic development according to the concepts of welfare are determined. Many well-known foreign researchers are interested in the causes of the wealth of some nations and the poverty and decline of others. Thus, D. Acemoglu and J. Robinson proved that the main condition for achieving the well-being of nations are economic institutions – rules that determine the social efficiency of the economy, incentives and motivations of people, rather than natural and geographical factors. Norwegian A. Reinert believes that rich countries have become rich through a combination of government intervention, strategic investment and protectionism, rather than free trade. American economist M. Olson pointed to the role of private property, taxation, public goods, collective action and contractual rights in economic development. N. Rosenberg and L. Birzdel, A. Sen, E. Duflo and A. Banerjee emphasize that the only issue they focus on is how to increase the material well-being of people, which is measured by the presence of most opportunities to choose and shape the quality of their own lives, to fight not with the consequences of poverty, but with its causes, that is, starting with public education, basic medicine and hygiene. New theoretical approaches to the interpretation of social factors of economic development and social transformations in Ukraine have also been formed in the works of Ukrainian researchers. It is established that a prerequisite for the successful development of the national economic system is to ensure the priority of man, education, health care, environmental protection, which, in turn, stimulate significant economic potential and long-term prosperity of society.

Resumen
This article presents an approach to analysis of women’s hygiene and beauty practices in the traditional Ukrainian society. As a key message, the article discusses female hygiene and body care as a historically determined, complex process, affected by popular beliefs stemming from people’s living, natural and, more specifically, climatic conditions. The author presents the rules of society, especially taboos, which influenced women’s hygiene as a special practice. Hence hygiene, body care and beauty standards are recognized as a function of specific social and cultural norms established for woman’s body. In addition, the notion of bodily health, hygiene and beauty was most closely tied to the popular view of «proper» and «improper» days for body care. For instance, ritualistic washing of the body was mandatory on the eve of major calendar holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, however, bathing, washing or sprinkling, practiced during these periods, had as its object rather some sacred than any hygienic purpose. Accordingly, on the days of traditional Christian fasting (Wednesdays and Fridays), it was forbidden to bathe, the same goes for Sundays and the time during certain calendar periods: on the eve of Whit Sunday festivities, Midsummer Night, also after Elijah’s Day or the Feast of Transfiguration. The emphasis was put on hygiene, standards of beauty, care, etc. as a construct of cultural and social norms, where the age and marital status of women would be of great importance. As woman grew older, she had to become more inconspicuous: excessive primping, self-care, and adorning were strongly condemned by the society of that time. Thus, it appears that all hygienic procedures of body and hair care were under the scrutiny of society, with imposition of a significant number of taboos, restrictions and precautions. Women had to follow all those precepts because otherwise they would be accused of violating sacred traditions.

Resumen
Society’s knowledge about the Covid-19 virus as an effort to prevent the spread of the corona virus through the improvement of personal hygiene to face this pandemic is very important. One of the preventions that can be done is by using hand sanitizer. The increasing number of hand sanitizer needs has caused its availability to be limited and its selling price increase. Therefore, it is needed to conduct online socialization in the making of hand sanitizers with natural ingredients. Online socialization is carried out so that society can understand the benefits and how to make it without giving the risk of the spread of Covid-19 through the crowd from these activities, this is carried out to comply with health protocols. Online socialization was carried out through educational videos that were forwarded through the WhatsApp group of the Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Team that consists of the head of every RT and staff of Kelurahan Mondokan. The result, the society in Kelurahan Mondokan understands the benefits and how to make natural hand sanitizer so they can make their own hand sanitizer and can improve the standard of personal hygiene values of society as an effort to prevent the spread of corona virus. At present time it is difficult to imagine ecology as a science which is possessed by the all or parts of signs which are characteristic for the science generally and which are would not coincide with a row of other sciences included in this field of activity, and that is necessary to treat as a specific common to all science approach to learn nature and society. A principal and specific purpose of hygiene as a science is to become acquainted with the laws and regularity of interaction of a healthy human, the healthy collectives, peopling, population with natural and changeable environment, and on this base to develop the methods and means for providing the preservation and strengthening human society as a whole. There is a problem before the hygiene science is to provide a monitoring of the health of population with influence of the factors of environment on the base of dynamic before illness observation and hygiene diagnostics for needs of clinic system. There is an urgent necessity to organize a Russian national medical-prophylactic institute instead of groundless liquidated the Leningrad’s sanitary-hygiene medical institute in term of collapse of the USSR in 90-teens of XX century, where side by side with the doctors of medical-prophylactic profiles should be trained the doctors of ecology.

Resumen
Observation of information hygiene practices is highly important today; a healthy society should have a stable mental state, but as we know social media shapes and manages public moods and opinions. This is where the presence of a psychologically healthy media industry becomes an imperative. A healthy society needs a psychologically healthy media. To have progress, scientific and technical achievements and success, a stable and confidence-inspiring environment is a must, where one can work and create. Whereas any stressful incident or event, emergency situation, and, above all, martial law and military operation is a development-preventing, destructive soil, where frustration, apathy and hopelessness develop well, leading to incapacity. Experts in various fields believe that ever since Armenia gained independence the country has been unable to straighten up and ensure the necessary pace for development of science, culture and technology, as it has been struggling with the consequences of various natural and man-made, military and political disasters, which affect and disintegrate all creative forces and crush the aspirations of individuals. In these conditions, it is impossible to expect any positive result. The author has tried to find ways to fight "information garbage" and suggests some steps to keep the information landscape clean.

Resumen
Our planet is a living being that has its own protective viral mechanism. Viruses are activated when people intervene too zealously in the natural processes on the planet and worsen the environment. With a decrease in the spiritual level of society, deterioration of the environment, climate change, pollution of water and soil and other catastrophic violations of natural processes on the planet, an epidemic and the process of mutation of viruses begins, as a result of which more and more of their species and strains appear. The coronavirus is becoming more and more infectious, more and more often affects the young and, according to some reports, aggravates the course of the disease. COVID-19 acquires variability and increases infectiousness in people with weak immunity. Mutations of COVID-19 and infection will stop if the path of transmission of coronavirus from person to person is interrupted. To do this, you need to observe natural and medical protective measures, acquire appropriate knowledge and skills and have protective equipment available.

Resumen
This research confirms the pivotal role of kinesiotherapy in combating obesity and sedentary lifestyles and provides a foundational framework for future interventions and studies in this field. It underscores the importance of an integrated approach that combines physical therapy with lifestyle changes, paving the way for healthier and more active communities. The aim of this research is to gather and group the main methods of kinesiotherapy that are used to combat obesity and the problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle. This research underlines the efficacy of kinesiotherapy in combating obesity and sedentary lifestyles, highlighting various forms like Morning Hygiene Gymnastics (MHG) and Therapeutic Gymnastics (TG). MHG, ideal for starting the day with increased energy, focuses on general wellness, while TG is tailored to reduce body fat and improve cardiovascular health. Individualized exercises are emphasized for their role in addressing specific obesity and sedentarism needs. Additionally, therapeutic walking and aquatic exercises stand out for their low-impact, high-calorie-burn benefits, essential in obesity management. The study also stresses the importance of systematic, regular, and progressive exercise routines that are accessible and tailored to individual needs. By adhering to these principles, kinesiotherapy serves as a versatile and effective tool in promoting physical activity and countering the challenges of obesity and a sedentary lifestyle.

Resumen
The study analyzes lesser-known aspects regarding Sabin Manuilă's fellowship in the United States, granted by the Rockefeller Foundation between 1925 and 1926, at the suggestion of Iuliu Moldovan, the director of the Institute of Hygiene at the University of Cluj, whose assistant he was. Manuilă distinguished himself in the fields of epidemiology, immunology, demography, biostatistics, biological anthropology, eugenics, ethno- and biopolitics, occupying important scientific and administrative positions. Romania's cooperation with the Rockefeller Foundation was an important factor in the modernization of scientific and institutional research in fields that required considerable human and financial investments: public health and hygiene, medical assistance, natural sciences, sociology, statistics. Substantial support has materialized in fellowships, professional training and scientific research in the United States of America. On the basis of the Scholarship File, the study analyzes the professional negotiations between Manuilă and representatives of the Rockefeller Foundation related to his academic career based in Baltimore, and some divergences related to his specialization. Initially, Prof. Moldovan recommended him in 1925 to specialize in hygiene, with the possibility to cover fields such as statistics, demography, organization of the health service. Manuilă will prefer social sciences despite the American recommendation to focus on hygiene. The Scholarship file follows in detail the evolution of his scientific and administrative career from the grades he obtained, his return to his country and his activities, the research scholarship from 1938 with A. Pavel and D. Gusti, the refuge in America after 1948, until the negotiations for naturalization and the failed attempt to raise awareness among the American public about the Soviet danger. The study provides unprecedented information about the American stage of Sabin Manuilă's professional and human training as recorded by Rockefeller officers.

Resumen
Thomas Paine's social-contract theory, which asserts the protection of individual rights as the sole end of civil society and the consent of the majority of individuals as the sole source of government's authority, may seem to be better suited to the democratic Constitution of the United States than Edmund Burke's theory of prescription of government. Burke's theory is based on the rational moral goals of civil society, not on the supremacy of the people's or any other will. It asserts that the natural ends of society are prior to rights as Paine and other radical democrats conceived of them and that natural obligation is prior to and controls consent. Burke can therefore afford us a more realistic interpretation of popular consent and of the Constitution as the political form that makes us a people. He also offers a useful corrective to the currently popular view of the Supreme Court's function as being primarily to protect an ever-expanding array of constitutional rights. Burke was no democrat but he may help democrats to overcome the limitations of the liberal contractarian model of society.

Resumen
The transition to a postindustrial society, change of civilizations and new challenges require both in-depth study of current status on basic research morpho-physiology of natural intelligence, a broad discussion and formulation of strategies by the academic community, and the development of new scientific and applied approaches of optimization of intellectual activity, defining preventive trends for mental, physical and social well-being. The aim of study is to analyze multi-factor retrospective and modern fundamental research to identify possible predicted changes in the directions of knowledge search, such as the phenomenon of intelligence in purposeful, conscious human activity aimed at meeting the needs of the individual and society, and trends in the study of intellectual labor in physiology, hygiene and medicine. The analysis of modern generally accepted semantics according to the documents of WHO, ILO, ISO, and Russian legislation is carried out. Based on the analysis of the main stages and discoveries of structural and functional elements of the natural intellectual system over 26 centuries of the history of neuroscience and other knowledge systems related to intellectual labour. Parameters, measurement standards, and limits that are important for intellectual activity are defined. Modern methods of studying intelligence and optimizing intellectual activity are analyzed. In the modern conceptual apparatus: knowledge worker, when working performs intellectual functions (ICF, WHO), which are related to brain health (WHO), mental loads, strain, stress (ISO), can lead to mental and behavioral disorders (ILO), are associated with the results of intellectual activity (Civil Code of the Russian Federation) and intellectual product (Labour Code of the Russian Federation). To date, the paradigms of wiring, neurobiological, informational, connectome, and noogenesis are developing in the study of intelligence. The factors of the working environment can be influenced by the general strategy for the development of the information society and the digital economy, digital taylorism, the development of addictions and the "enslavement of people by the Internet". In intellectual activity, the following are important: information speed (from 100 m/s to 300 million m/s); the volume of information produced and transmitted, its quality and usefulness of content; cooperation between a person and the world wide web connection (from 150 to 1 trillion connections). New research methods, including fMRI, CT, MEG, TES, PET, TMS, etc., are shaping the paradigm shift in the study of intelligence. with the determination of the localization of intellectual functions in the brain. Developing predictive trends include information hygiene, hygiene of nutrition of the brain and noopharmacology. Analysis of the fundamental foundations of intelligence and the evolution of its parameters, along with new research methods, can be useful for predicting scientific hypotheses and trends in studying the features of intellectual labor in physiology, hygiene, and medicine. Strategies for the development of the information (I) society, standards for I-measuring, the phenomena of I-boom, I-overload, and I-pollution, along with the appearance of I-dependent pathologies, form the relevance of the development of I-ecology and I-hygiene. It is advisable to develop sanitary rules and hygienic recommendations for the organization of IT processes.

Resumen
In every society the status of women has been the marker of the direction in which the wind of identity blows. Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man (1952), as the title suggests, is a male centric African-American novel which portrays the experiences of an Afro-American man in a racially segregated society in the United States in 1940s. His invisibility or lack of identity is representative of the enforced conformity and racial inequality imposed on the African- American community prior to the implementation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Obviously, one has a natural curiosity to know the status of the Afro- American women-their identity and their visibility- in the then American racist society as presented by Ralph Ellison in his debut novel. The aim of the paper is to explore the status of women and assess their position in the American society of white supremacy.

Resumen
The aim of this study was to explain the risks of the crisis management process in responding to natural disasters with the focus on earthquakes. This quantitative, descriptive, analytic study was conducted in Doroud City, Lorestan province, Iran in 2017. The society of the research comprises all members of the Doroud Crisis Management team, out of which 140 people were selected by stratified random sampling. In order to collect data, self-made questionnaires comprising 40 questions and 6 domains (structural, therapeutic, help and rescue, safety, hygiene, logistics)and based on the Likert Five Option Spectrum (extremely low=1, extremely high=5)were used. To ensure the validity of the questionnaires, they were assessed and verified by experts in the field. To assess the reliability, however, the Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient of 0.89 was applied. The data was analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and Independent T-test and variance analysis using SPSS21. The findings showed that safety with a mean and standard deviation of 4.91±0.68 was the highest and structure with a mean and standard deviation of 2.03±0.64 was the lowest domains under the assessment of crisis management. Also, training courses in therapeutic and hygiene domains, and work experience in therapeutic, help and rescue, security, logistics domains made a considerable difference (p=0.05). From the perspective of the sample under study, the domains of therapeutic and hygiene have the highest importance factor, logistics was allocated the lowest priority. Applying the proper assessment of different risk frameworks, the researchers reviewed each domain proportionate to the probability of an earthquake in the study area. This way by identifying the potential hazards and risks in view of important and effective domains, the dangers could be prioritized and management programs could be implemented.

Resumen
In the previous education it was taken for granted that the step-by-step progress in technology brought about development. Thus, a lot of time and effort were invested in the development of technology. Despite material progress, however, there is growing evidence that we are failing to create a sustainable future for humanity and a community where discrimination and conflict are minimized. If future generations do not have an intimate attachment to others by practicing environmental and social justice, there is a high possibility that humankind will gradually lose the light of hope and turn into a society of anxiety and disgust. Many of the great narratives of modern Anglo-American culture depict emotionally extreme disorders and subsequent social maladjustment. And these manic narratives are warnings that we should practice our attachment to early parenting and symbiotic ethics (ESG management) of industries that are friendly to the natural world. The burgeoning manic narratives of Anglo-American society across fiction, media, and non-fiction eloquently suggest the need to regain the power and wisdom of human nature through attachment and symbiotic value realization, rather than new technologies or manic or dopamine stimuli from excessive consumption.

Resumen
The long XIX century became «the golden age» in the history of exhibitions. During that period of time, understanding of their meaning, organizational approaches and thematical content changed, thus they received new functions. Quite often these processes are considered and explained within the framework of the concept of «the exhibitionary complex». The development of public health, its inclusion into the list of the indices of «civilization»and «progress», high prestige of the hygiene and hygienists, and «bacteriological revolution» contributed to the emergence of separate international, national and regional exhibitions that focused on public health and hygiene in the second half of the XIXth century. Two exhibitions, dedicated to medicine and natural science, that was held in Lviv in 1888 and 1907, echoed and followed the international trends. Although they did not focus exclusively on hygiene and public health, separate departments and sections were devoted to these issues. Both Lviv exhibitions were organized by professionals within the scope of the congresses of Polish physicians and naturalists, and thus they had both local and national character. The separation of hygiene as an autonomous part of these exhibitions should be considered in connection with two phenomena. The first was the development of the hygiene movement in Galicia during that time. Hygienists, among other purposes, sought to spread «hygienic education» among broad strata of society. The second was the shaping of public discourse on public health in the province of Galicia. Additionally, exhibitions became a site of cooperation between authorities, activists and professionals, and also they spread the idea of progress in Galicia.

Resumen
In 1927 a classic textbook of human genetics made the following remark: We are coming to recognise more and more clearly that racial factors and especially hereditary mental factors, although they work (it cannot be too often repeated) in conjunction with other factors, are among the most influential in determining the course of a nation’s history . . . What historians regard as degeneration, sickness and ageing of a nation, what they look on as the decline of a nation are the outcome of the racial constituents of the people concerned. This view was typical of a large constituency of opinion-formers, policy-makers and scientists in the period from the late nineteenth until the middle of the twentieth century. Anxiety about the social effects of bad heredity led to the formation of eugenics societies in a considerable number of countries. These included the Eugenics Education Society of London in 1907, the German Society for Race Hygiene in 1905, the American Eugenics Society in 1912, and, in the same year, the French Eugenics Society. By the 1920s eugenics societies could be found in the Soviet Union (a legacy from Tsarist times), Mexico, Scandinavia, Brazil, Japan, and many other countries.

Resumen
If public health can be defined as “all activities to ensure universal medical use of the people and protect and promote health,” it can be said that public health emerged in the process of developing the concept of hygiene in East Asia. While traditional hygiene emphasized individual curing and longevity, modern hygiene was the state in charge of individual body and discipline. East Asian countries had to practice modern tasks in the field of hygiene and medical care in line with the construction of modern countries, and it was considered legitimate for modern countries to intervene in individual bodies. As the demand for modern national construction became stronger, interest in public health rather than personal hygiene increased.</br>In East Asia, a new interpretation of the concept of hygiene began in Japan. Sensai Nagayo(1838-1902) newly defined the concept of ‘sanitation’ to justify the physical intervention of the modern state in Meiji period. The concept of ‘public health’ began to be used in earnest in 1890, when Ogai Mori(1862-1922) translated Western-style health protection measures for the public as public health. Since then, public health has evolved into a universal social discourse in Japan. Japan’s public health expanded to colonial Joseon, Taiwan, and China. Japan’s victory in the Sino-Japanese War led East Asian countries to believe that hygiene was the root of the Japanese nation’s power. In the early 20th century, the government of the Republic of China began to imitate the case of Japan while promoting modern education reform and institutional reform. Japanese-style ‘public health’ was transplanted into various hygiene laws and sanitary equipment.</br>In Korea, modern hygiene was introduced and spread from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, and the concept of ‘public health’ in Japan was mainly spreading. Public health in Japan was vaguely defined as an activity to protect and promote the health of the people, but in practice, it was focused on improving quarantine and environmental infrastructure. In response, the concept of American-style public health, which values prevention and treatment at the same time, has already begun to emerge under the Japanese colonial rule.</br>In East Asia in the 1920s and 1930s, Japanese-style public health and American-style public health discourse competed, and measures to solve medical inequality were discussed in earnest. Interestingly, in common in East Asian countries, Actual Medical Expenses Campaigns to improve medical access at low cost and social medicine to universally provide prevention and treatment to the people have drawn attention. This was also a phenomenon caused by intensifying medical inequality as rapid urbanization and industrialization progressed in East Asian countries in the first half of the 20th century. Although it was impossible to resolve social contradictions or move toward fundamental reform of the national medical system due to the nature of the private movement, the actual medical movement further imprinted the need for public health care in the country and society. Social medicine studied the effects and relationships of the social environment on diseases and health, and studied ways to promote public health by using preventive medicine and therapeutic medicine. If social medicine was supported by state power, it was possible to go forward with practice such as State Medicine like China, otherwise it would only be a civilian movement such as the People’s Health Movement, as in colonial Korea.</br>Liberation and the Korean War were a dramatic turning point in American-style health that led to Japanese-style hygiene. Immediately after Liberation, there was a discussion between the left and right camps over medical nationalization to enhance the publicity of medical care. The medical community was sympathetic to the nationalization of medical care, but due to the lack of medical personnel and financial resources, specific alternatives could not be proposed. As American-style health studies gradually expanded their influence after the Korean War, American-style public health, which emphasized prevention and treatment activities, became established, and efforts were made to establish a health center system.

Development society brings many benefits to people and also brings many challenges. Those challenges seriously affect sustainable economic development, the life and health of all people in society. At present, issues that the whole society has been facing are: hygiene, food safety, environmental pollution, new epidemics, and exhaust of natural resources as well as warming up of the earth... To limit and solve the aforementioned issues, it needs close cooperation and support from all people and enterprises. Every individual, every organization is a part of society. The development of each individual and each enterprise is also the development of society and vice versa. The rise of society will also have a positive impact on each member of it. Therefore, enterprises need to raise awareness about sustainable development and act responsibly with the community and society. It is necessary and useful not only for enterprises themselves but also for the whole society. In this thesis, the author focuses on addressing the following issues: Carrying out social responsibilities associated with environmental protection in order to sustainably develop of Vietnamese enterprises, thereby finding the causes and proposing solutions to help enterprises fulfill their social responsibilities and protect the green, clean and beautiful environment in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Law on Environment of Vietnam in 2014.

Resumen
The Natural History Society of New Brunswick (1862-1932) based in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, produced an impressive body of research, including significant geological discoveries. Research and public education output of the Society was prolific. George Matthew, the Society's leading geologist published more than 200 scientific papers. Between 1862 and 1917 the Bulletin of the Natural History Society of New Brunswick records more than 800 lectures read before the Society and public audiences. Lectures were often at the leading edge of scientific discovery, such as Matthew's 1890 report of the first authentic Precambrian fossil. This amateur society supported the research of its members by developing a significant library. The only other library in the city with scientific resources belonged to the local Mechanics' Institute, later acquired in part by the Natural History Society. It is clear from library reports and minutes that, from the beginning, the intent was to provide members access to a science library necessary to support their research activities. Both libraries were particularly important as the Great Fire of 1877 destroyed personal libraries while the Society and Institute libraries were untouched. The library was particularly strong in North American and British journals and classic works in early geology. Some of the research shortcomings of Society members may have been a result of the library's weakness in European technical literature. The library and collections of the Natural History Society of New Brunswick formed the basis for the present New Brunswick Museum.

Resumen
Abstract Background Resident interest in global health care training is growing and has been shown to have a positive effect on participants' clinical skills and cultural competency. In addition, it is associated with career choices in primary care, public health, and in the service of underserved populations. The purpose of this study was to explore, through reflective practice, how participation in a formal global health training program influences pediatric residents' perspectives when caring for diverse patient populations. Methods Thirteen pediatric and combined-program residents enrolled in a year-long Global Health Scholars Program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center during the 2007–2008 academic year. Educational interventions included a written curriculum, a lecture series, one-on-one mentoring sessions, an experience abroad, and reflective journaling assignments. The American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene global health competencies were used as an a priori coding framework to qualitatively analyze the reflective journal entries of the residents. Results Four themes emerged from the coded journal passages from all 13 residents: (1) the burden of global disease, as a heightened awareness of the diseases that affect humans worldwide; (2) immigrant/underserved health, reflected in a desire to apply lessons learned abroad at home to provide more culturally effective care to immigrant patients in the United States; (3) parenting, or observed parental, longing to assure that their children receive health care; and (4) humanitarianism, expressed as the desire to volunteer in future humanitarian health efforts in the United States and abroad. Conclusions Our findings suggest that participating in a global health training program helped residents begin to acquire competence in the American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene competency domains. Such training also may strengthen residents' acquisition of professional skills, including the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education competencies.

Resumen
The purpose of this study is to trace how and by what principle the economy of Eastern Siberia was covered in the American press, as well as to understand what perception of the Siberian region was formed in the minds of American public under the influence of newspapers. The American periodicals of the second half of the nineteenth century published many articles on the geography, history, and economics of Eastern Siberia. The increase in the number of articles about Siberia in American newspapers indicates that there was a remarkable interest in the Siberian region, its natural resources, population, and economy. American newspaper publications about the Siberian economy can be roughly divided into three categories: trade, agriculture, and gold mining. Each category was studied in detail and the arguments and conclusions were corroborated by excerpts and quotes from the newspapers. Newspapers have played an important role in shaping the country's public opinion about Siberia and its natural and economic resources. American society in the second half of the nineteenth century envisioned Siberia as a vast territory, rich in natural reserves and awaiting the development by the brave Russian colonizers. American readers identified themselves with the Russian population of Siberia, which, like them, carried the beacon of “civilization” and economic progress to the distant territories. Newspapers extolled the virtues of hard work of Russian peasants and industrialists, who bravely conquered the harsh Siberian landscape. The American public was most interested in newspaper articles about the gold mining in Eastern Siberia. American prospectors wrote letters to the editorial offices of newspapers asking how and when they could get to Siberia for gold mining. Newspapers instilled hope in the American society, that the Russian tsar would soon open Siberia to the American entrepreneurs and investors; and the new industrial and commercial joint ventures would bring great economic benefits to both nations.

Resumen
The article presents the results of a media analytical study of the American Internet audience’s response to the spreading coronavirus pandemic. In particular, it concerns the cybermetric analysis of social media, which made it possible to identify the formed ambiguity in the assessments by American Internet users of events related to the coronavirus pandemic and analyse the process of constructing the coronavirus as an informational phenomenon. The epidemiological crisis has shaped new information trends in the geolocation of the virus, social distancing, hygiene and the use of individual types of protection, and the spread of information fakes. The study confirmed the thesis that social media can and should be used to support public health measures. Digital technologies help to overcome social constraints during mass quarantines and provide support for mental health, the formation of social solidarity in a society in a situation of social distancing and isolation.

Resumen
The article discovers the philosophical, socio-political views of the famous American enlightener, philosopher, and participant of the war for independence of northern American colonies of Great Britain – Thomas Paine (1737-1809). The article aims to demonstrate that the equality of people in accordance with their nature has been the main motive of Thomas Paine’s social philosophy. “Natural rights” have been determined by him as those pertaining to a human according to the right of its existence. Thomas Paine, being one of the first American enlighteners, has proved that the terms of “state” and “society” had appeared independently. The humans’ need of the social process, saving of their natural rights had forced them to unite into a society. This statement of the enlightener has been extremely important and accurate: “The society is produced by our desires, and government is produces by our wickedness… The society in every state is a blessing, but the government…is nothing but a necessary evil, and otherwise – an intolerable one”. It is proved that all philosophic works of T. Paine have been pierced by the thought about the inevitability of the state creation. The origin and the existence of state power becomes possible only under the social agreement, as exactly according thereto the humanity is able to realize its natural rights, and only under the social agreement the supreme power in the state shall belong to the nation. The article analyzes T. Paine’s conception about the leadership of the nation, republican principles and representative system of government in the republic form. The contemporaries called Thomas Paine “the British Voltaire” for his fight against willfulness of the church and clergy. He believed in the power of greatness of Mind and Virtue, which had to destroy the wickedness of civilizational society.
