Resumen
Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar is considered one of the successful Turkish authors in the twentieth century. Undoubtfully, he left his own print during the age he lived in. He wrote several books in several literary fields like poetry, novel, short story, essay writing and analysis. Although he wrote so many literary works in several fields, we often know him as a poet. I decide to make my research paper deal with the concept of sadness and distress which is the main subject for our paper. It reflects the nature of Turkish society. The reason behind that is the condition of sadness and pains in the Turkish history. Turkish people suffered from persecution and pain from the beginning of their settlement in central Asia. This resulted in deep wounds. Accordingly, the poet made use of sadness and agonies in his literary texts. We can also notice that Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar is a poet and scholar in the history of literature. Hence, the poet who knows his history well, he will witness more sadness and distress. This will include, without any doubts, those two concepts intensively in his works. It is noteworthy that the poet introduced a few works in this field because of his accuracy in poetry. Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar is considered one of the pioneer figures in psychology. This is why we see that the poet deals with the concept of sadness and distress in a very wonderful way in his poems. This is clear in his writings about human psychology.

Resumen
Notre recherche vise à cerner le fonctionnement de l'esprit d'Ahmet Hamdi Tanpinar, poète, romancier, essayiste, historien de la littérature, comparatiste et critique d'art (23 juin 1901 - 24 janvier 1962, Istanbul) à partir de son oeuvre en prose. La thèse comprend trois livres : l'homme, son oeuvre, son art reflétant chacun un travail à part tout en étant fondé sur une thèse. Dans un ordre chronologique parallèle à l'évolution historique, culturelle et idéologique dans le pays, nous avons mis en évidence les événements ayant joué un rôle direct sur son oeuvre, marqué son évolution intellectuelle et artistique, observé chez lui le rapport de la pensée au langage à la lumière de la théorie de la littérature de Paul Valéry. Nous avons montré comment il met en valeur la dimension spatiale et temporelle de la nation, de la culture, de la continuité en revisitant la condition humaine dans le paradoxe. Nous avons essayé de comprendre comment il faisait pour produire une oeuvre critique. Nous avons découvert en cet homme des hésitations n'aboutissant à aucune solution définitive durant son époque riche de conflits, un esprit fonctionnant sur le mode du contrepoint, nous l'avons montré comme le représentant de la polyphonie. Notre problématique a été de voir dans quelle mesure son acte critique avait une esthétique. Celle-ci s'est expliquée dans le cadre d'une sensibilité philosophique baroque. La séduction "baroque" dont nous avons qualifiée son oeuvre est une appellation inédite que nous avons transférée. Nous avons mis en évidence le baroquisme ottoman, lu son impact sur une partie de la civilisation européenne
Our research aims to identify the mental functioning of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpinar, poet, novelist, essayist, historian of literature and art critic (June 23, 1901 - January 24, 1962, Istanbul) from his prose. The thesis includes three books : the man, his work, his art. Each part reflects a separate work while being based on a thesis. We have highlighted the events that played a direct role in its work and affected his intellectual and artistic progress in a chronological order parallel to the historical, cultural and ideological evolution in the country. We observed him in the relation of the realm of mind to the field of literary expression, that is to say, the relation of thought to language, in light of the literary theory of Paul Valéry. We showed in how he revisits the human condition in the paradox. We tried to understand how Tanpinar created his text, how he managed to produce a critical work. We find in him, man of hesitations leading to no definitive solution for its rich period of conflict, a spirit that operates in the mode of counterpoint, show him in his own appearance as the representative of polyphony. Our problematic was to see how this critical act was aesthetic and a part of a baroque philosophical sensibility. The "baroque " seduction with which we have qualified his work is actually a unique name in the Turkish literary criticism which we transferred in the field of criticism. We also highlighted the Ottoman baroque, read the impact of Ottoman civilization onto a part of European civilization

Resumen
Il lavoro si propone di indagare le rappresentazioni letterarie di Istanbul nella narrativa turca post-1980. L'ipotesi che si intende dimostrare è che il kemalismo, quale "grande narrazione" legittimante la modernità turca, costituisca il testo culturale che le poetiche urbane esibite nelle produzioni letterarie successive al 1980 rilevano per evidenziarne l'intima crisi. L'analisi prende in considerazione due coppie d'autori in un'ottica comparata: Orhan Pamuk e Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, per la prospettiva del centro, e Latife Tekin e Yaşar Kemal rappresentanti il punto di vista periferico sulla città.

Resumen
This chapter aims to evaluate the works made under the title “the literary geography of İstanbul” concerning literary tourism in the activities carried out by the Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar Research and Application Centre regarding Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar and the novel Huzur. In this framework, the author examines the tourist experiences of literary tourists in actual and fictitious localities, their psycho-aesthetic experiences, the relationships they build with the city, the method used by the research center in these touristic activities, as well as the consequences of these experiences for literary tourism. The potential of Turkish literature in determining the future of cultural tourism and literary tourism will also be evaluated.
