Resumen

Prof. dr. dr. h. c. mult. Walter Liese (1926–2023) je bil vodilni znanstvenik, učitelj, mentor, direktor, vodja, predsednik IUFRO, večkratni častni doktor in ambasador znanosti na področju gozdarstva in lesarstva. Po diplomi in doktoratu iz gozdarstva je opravil pionirsko in izjemno življenjsko delo na področju elektronske mikroskopije ter biologije in zaščite lesa ter bambusa. V obdobju 1963–1991 je deloval kot profesor na Univerzi v Hamburgu, vodja inštituta za Biologijo in zaščito lesa in direktor Zveznega raziskovalnega centra za gozdarstvo in lesarstvo. Njegovo delo je imelo izjemen vpliv na razvoj znanosti in laboratoriji, ki jih je vodil, so bili referenčna točka za znanost o lesu in bambusu na svetu. Bil je aktiven član svetovne organizacije IUFRO in v letih 1977–1981 njen predsednik ter izjemen ambasador znanosti in povezovalec. Vsestransko je podpiral znanstveno skupnost v Sloveniji. Leta 1994 je kot prvi znanstvenik s področja gozdarstva in lesarstva prejel častni doktorat Univerze v Ljubljani. Tudi po uradni upokojitvi je nadaljeval z raziskovalnim delom in ostal povezan s svetovno znanstveno skupnostjo.

14 февраля 2023 года в Риме скончался выдающийся исследователь греческой литературы, эллинист Марио Витти. Свою долгую жизнь он посвятил греческой литературе, был близким другом Одиссеаса Элитиса, Микиса Теодоракиса, Йоргоса Сефериса, Маноса Хадзидакиса и многих других выдающихся греческих литераторов, актеров, музыкантов и поэтов. Благодаря ему греческая литература пережила второе рождение: он обнаружил и опубликовал самый древний текст современного греческого театра («Диалог» Николаоса Софианоса), религиозную драму Теодоро Мончелезе с Закинфа «Эвгена» (Венеция, 1646 год) и два тома текстов Андреаса Кальвоса. On February 14, 2023, the outstanding researcher of Greek literature, Hellenist Mario Vitti died in Rome. He dedicated his long life to Greek literature and was a close friend of Odysseas Elytis, Mikis Theodorakis, Yorgos Seferis, Manos Hadzidakis and many other prominent Greek writers, actors, musicians and poets. Thanks to him, Greek literature experienced a rebirth: he discovered and published the oldest text of modern Greek theater (Dialogue by Nikolaos Sofianos), the religious drama of Teodoro Moncelese from Zakynthos, Eugena (Venice, 1646), and two volumes of texts by Andreas Kalvos.

After a long and active life in ethnology and folkloristics, he died on 21 April 2023 at the age of 97. This article focuses on the significance of his work as a researcher in folkloristics, more specifically referring to his investigations into customs, beliefs, legends and tales.

Cet article revient sur la trajectoire de Felicia Adetowun Ogunsheye, pionnière en tant qu’étudiante dans l’enseignement supérieur au Nigéria, avant de devenir la première femme professeure des universités dans ce pays, en 1973. Ce texte présente la Fondation Ogunsheye, qui s’est ouverte en 2002 et qui regroupe notamment les archives personnelles de Felicia Adetowun ainsi que celles de son mari. Ces fonds, dont la richesse s’explique par la diversité des engagements de Felicia Adetowun, permettent donc à la fois de documenter sa propre trajectoire, mais également de mener des études plus larges dans les champs qu’elle a investis, comme celui de l’amélioration de condition féminine, combat mené à l’échelle internationale.

Abstrak. Provinsi Sumatera Utara merupakan salah satu provinsi yang juga sering terjadi gempa bumi, karena wilayahnya terletak pada pertemuan dua lempeng tektonik yaitu lempeng Indo-Australia dan lempeng Eurasia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perulangan gempa yang terjadi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara berdasarkan dari b-value serta kaitan b-value dengan magnitudo dan frekuensi gempa bumi. Hubungan b-value dengan magnitudo dan frekuensi gempa bumi dianalisis dengan metode likelihood. Data gempa bumi diambil dari website USGS, yaitu data dari tahun 1926-2023 yang berjumlah 4242 kejadian gempa bumi dengan menggunakan software Z-map. Data tersebut dilakukan cluster sehingga jumlah data menjadi 3033 data dengan magnitudo 3,0 sampai magnitudo 8,0 dan kedalaman 0-300 km pada koordinat episenter 1º- 4º LU dan 95º-105º BT. Berdasarkan data-data tersebut didapatkan b-value = 0,0939+/-0,02 dan a-value = 7,55, a-value (annual) = 5,56 serta nilai Magnitude of Completeness = 4,45 dapat menggambarkan tingkat stress yang sedang terjadi, b-value merupakan nilai yang menunjukkan tingkat kerapuhan suatu batuan. Dari data yang dihasilkan pada daerah Sumatera Utara, gempa yang sering terjadi adalah pada magnitudo 5,0 dan magnitudo 6,0 yang hampir meliputi semua daerah Sumatera Utara. Semakin tinggi nilai b pada suatu wilayah, maka akan semakin tua dan rapuh batuannya sehingga aktivitas seismik di wilayah tersebut juga akan semakin besar. Nilai b yang rendah itu merupakan daerah yang memiliki tingkat stress yang tinggi yang artinya wilayah tersebut memiliki peluang yang tinggi untuk terjadinya gempa-gempa besar. Abstract. North Sumatra Province is one of the provinces where earthquakes often occur because the region is located at the meeting point of two tectonic plates, namely the Indo-Australian plate and the Eurasian plate. This research aims to determine the recurrence of earthquakes that occur in North Sumatra Province based on the b-value and the relationship between the b-value and the magnitude and frequency of earthquakes. The relationship between b-value and earthquake magnitude and frequency was analyzed using the likelihood method. Earthquake data was taken from the USGS website, namely data from 1926-2023, totaling 4242 earthquake events using Z-map software. The data was clustered so that the total data became 3033 data with a magnitude of 3.0 to 8.0 magnitude and a depth of 0-300 km at epicenter coordinates 1º-4º N and 95º-105º E. Based on these data, b-value = 0.0939 +/- 0.02 and a-value = 7.55, a-value (annual) = 5.56 and Magnitude of Completeness = 4.45 can describe the level of stress that is occurring, b-value is a value that shows the level of brittleness of a rock. From the data produced in the North Sumatra area, the earthquakes that frequently occur are at magnitude 5.0 and magnitude 6.0 which almost covers all areas of North Sumatra. The higher the b value in an area, the older and brittle the rocks will be, so the seismic activity in that area will also be greater. A low b value indicates an area that has a high stress level, which means the area has a high chance of large earthquakes occurring.

Az írások szerzői ma sikeres jogászok, matematikusok, orvosok, történészek, társadalomtudósok, középiskolai vagy egyetemi tanárok, diplomaták vagy színházi rendezők. Ebben a vékony, 143 oldalas kötetben gazdag tárháza olvasható az egykori diákok emlékezéseinek, melyek a tanárnő magyar- és latinóráit, s az ezekből származó, életre szóló iránymutatásokat idézik. A kötetet szerkesztői, Hetényi Zsuzsa és Kontra Miklós, a 2022-ben kezdődött pedagógus tiltakozás résztvevőinek ajánlják.

Abstract The primary sources published here were authored by the noted Hungarian-American historian István Deák (1926–2023). They provide a firsthand account of his expulsion from Hungary at the end of 1973 and also of his subsequent harassment by the Hungarian state security during his return trip in the summer of 1974. The documents are prefaced by an introduction to the various trans-Atlantic cultural exchange programs during the Cold War period, with a particular focus on the conflict between the Hungarian authorities and the International Research & Exchanges Board that was caused by Deák’s expulsion.

Biotaxa.org is a non-profit international collaboration among professional societies, institutions, publishers, natural history museums and libraries for facilitating the publication, enhancing the access and enabling the preservation of journals in biological taxonomy. Since the start of Biotaxa.org in 2013, 58 journals by 46 publishers from 23 countries have joined this platform and 49 of these journals archived 10,076 issues covering a span of 98 years (1926 to 2023), Most of these journals (41) are for open access. Currently 13 journals are also using Biotaxa.org site for manuscript submission and review. Biotaxa.org has helped small publishers and journals—many of these lack sufficient funding—go online, reduce cost, become more sustainable, remain editorial independent, and/or be archived to fulfil the requirements of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature.

New taxonomic, diagnostic and faunistic data for 26 species of Nipponophloeostiba Watanabe, 1962 (one species), Paraphloeostiba Steel, 1960 (23 species) and Xanthonomus Bernhauer, 1926 (two species) of the tribe Omaliini McLeay, 1825 of the Papuan Region (Indonesia (Western New Guinea), Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands) are provided. Twenty-one new species are described and illustrated: Nipponophloeostiba hornabrooki sp. n., Paraphloeostiba assimile sp. n., P. attenuata sp. n., P. barclayi sp. n., P. betlephila sp. n., P. coprophila sp. n., P. latissima sp. n., P. okapensis sp. n., P. rufula sp. n., P. steeli sp. n., P. telnovi sp. n. and Xanthonomus thayerae sp. n. from Papua New Guinea, P. atramentaria sp. n., P. iriana sp. n., P. margineguttata sp. n., P. pilosa sp. n., P. riedeli sp. n., P. vitiosa sp. n., and X. guineensis sp. n. from Western New Guinea (Indonesia), and P. guadalcanalensis sp. n. and P. penelopeae sp. n. from Solomon Islands. Paraphloeostiba coriacea (Cameron, 1952) and P. rhopalocera (Cameron, 1928) are redescribed and illustrated. The male of P. papuana (Cameron, 1931) and females of P. conjuncta Shavrin, 2023 and P. coriacea are described and illustrated for the first time. Keys for Nipponophloeostiba Watanabe, 1962, Xanthonomus Bernhauer, 1926, and the Papuan species of the genus Paraphloeostiba are provided. Distributional maps of Xanthonomus and Nipponophloeostiba, and P. coriacea, P. gayndahensis (MacLeay, 1873) (for New Guinea) and P. papuana are given. Paraphloeostiba conjuncta, P. coriacea, P. gayndahensis and P. papuana are recorded from Indonesia (Western New Guinea) for the first time.

Este artículo tuvo como objetivo realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre la evaluación formativa desde diversos planteamientos de la educación en el aula. Se realizó una revisión de diversos documentos de bases de scopus, scielo y otros; utilizando una variedad de criterios de selección y exclusión. Se encontró que es indispensable aprovechar diversas estrategias de la evaluación formativa para poder incrementar los aprendizajes en los estudiantes, concluyéndose que la evaluación formativa es el punto de partida que permite fortalecer el aprendizaje de los estudiantes; la retroalimentación es fundamental para poder desarrollar aprendizajes con una planificación adecuada y una participación activa del docente para la aplicación en el aula.

Abstract The article analyzes four works of poetry and illustration produced by the artist, poet, and occultist Marjorie Cameron (1922–1995) in the 1950s and 1960s. Widow of rocket scientist and occultist John “Jack” Whiteside Parsons (1914–1952), an early follower of Aleister Crowley’s (1875–1947) religion Thelema, Cameron was also a friend and collaborator of Beat artist Wallace Berman (1926–1976) and avant-garde filmmaker Kenneth Anger (1927–2023). In the 1950s and 1960s, Cameron delved deeply into Crowley’s magical writings alongside those of comparative mythologist Joseph Campbell (1904–1987). The article especially highlights how Cameron creatively adapted and re-worked the ideas of both thinkers in her artistic interpretations of her Holy Guardian Angel. A core argument of the article is that art, poetry, and esotericism were intertwined pursuits for Cameron, and that extra-textual sources (e.g., letters and biographical details) contemporary with the analyzed creative works are helpful in untangling their meaning.

Chronic pain affects more than 50 million Americans. Treatments remain inadequate, in large part, because thepathophysiological mechanisms underlying the development of chronic pain remain poorly understood. Painbiomarkers could potentially identify and measure biological pathways and phenotypical expressions that arealtered by pain, provide insight into biological treatment targets, and help identify at-risk patients who might benefit from early intervention. Biomarkers are used to diagnose, track, and treat other diseases, but no validated clinicalbiomarkers exist yet for chronic pain. To address this problem, the National Institutes of Health Common Fundlaunched the Acute to Chronic Pain Signatures (A2CPS) program to evaluate candidate biomarkers, develop theminto biosignatures, and discover novel biomarkers for chronification of pain after surgery. This article discussescandidate biomarkers identified by A2CPS for evaluation, including genomic, proteomic, metabolomic, lipidomic,neuroimaging, psychophysical, psychological, and behavioral measures. Acute to Chronic Pain Signatures will providethe most comprehensive investigation of biomarkers for the transition to chronic postsurgical pain undertaken todate. Data and analytic resources generated by A2CPS will be shared with the scientific community in hopes thatother investigators will extract valuable insights beyond A2CPS’s initial findings. This article will review the identifiedbiomarkers and rationale for including them, the current state of the science on biomarkers of the transition fromacute to chronic pain, gaps in the literature, and how A2CPS will address these gaps.

: En el año 2023 se cumplen cien años del nacimiento de la radio comercial en España, un nuevo medio de comunicación que transformaría la vida cotidiana de los españoles. Los inicios de la radio en nuestro país fueron difíciles por las dificultades técnicas y la precariedad económica. Esta situación cambió con la aparición de Unión Radio, una emisora que en pocos años integraría la mayoría de estaciones de radio existentes en las grandes ciudades de España: Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Salamanca, Cádiz, entre otras. Los principales fabricantes internacionales de aparatos de radio fundaron en 1925 la emisora Unión Radio de Madrid y la revista Ondas. Ambos medios fueron utilizados como plataformas publicitarias para la promoción de sus productos. Los fabricantes entendieron que para que el producto-radio tuviera éxito debían desarrollar el servicio-radio. Este trabajo analiza los anuncios publicitarios de la revista para observar los componentes de la industria radioeléctrica en sus orígenes y la evolución en sus primeros años. Hemos tomado como referencia temporal los años 1925- 1926 y 1929-1930 para realizar un análisis comparativo. Una de las principales conclusiones es que el mercado español de productos de radio estaba dominado por marcas extranjeras, y que la producción española era insignificante. Latvian documentary filmmaker Hercs Franks (1926–2013) directed his first films in 1965, the two short documentaries were produced at the Latvian television’s production unit Telefilma-Rīga: “Salty Bread” (Sāļā maize) and “At Noon” (Pusdienā). Both films reflect an intricate practice and aesthetic element of the director – the use of still photography, which for him is both a research tool and a stylistic device present throughout his career. “Salty Bread” includes photographs as a stylistic element allowing the viewer to prolong observation of particular images, whereas in “At Noon” still photographs feature on the films’ credits, but more significant is photography’s use as a research tool for preparing the film. The intermedial studies have explored the interrelationship of different media and used intermediality as a tool for close reading of specific works, among other applications. The connection of cinema and photography represent the potential of intermedial approach through the technological, aesthetic, institutional practices. Specifically documentary cinema in its relation to photography shares additional issues of the meaning of documentality and representation of reality. Through close reading of Hercs Franks’ first films, I would argue that Franks transcends normative documentary function in the use of still photographs [Hallas 2023] and demonstrates the intermedial practice in combining photography and documentary filmmaking.

The presence of weather and water whiplash in Mediterranean regions of the world is analyzed using historical streamflow records from 1926 to 2023, depending on the region. Streamflow from the United States (California), Italy, Australia, Chile, and South Africa is analyzed using publicly available databases. Water whiplash—or the rapid shift of wet and dry periods—are compared. Wet and dry periods are defined based on annual deviations from the historical record average, and whiplash occurs when there is an abrupt change that overcomes an accommodated deficit or surplus. Of all the stations, there are more dry years (56%) than wet years (44%) in these regions, along with similarities in the variances and shifts in extremes (i.e., whiplash). On average, 35% of the years were defined as water whiplash years in all countries, with the highest levels in the US (California), where 42–53% of the years were whiplash years. The influence of the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) influences Chile and South Africa strongest during the first quarter of the year. This study found that smaller extreme wet periods and larger and less extreme dry periods are prevalent in Mediterranean regions. This has implications for water management as adaptation to climate change is considered.

In 2023, the 120th anniversary of the birth of the famous surgeon, prominent scientist, talented teacher, Professor A.Ya. Ivanov will be celebrated. Graduated from the Odessa Medical Institute in 1926, he worked as a surgeon in hospitals of the Ukrainian SSR, and then in Leningrad. During the Great Patriotic War – senior surgeon of the hospital in besieged Leningrad, and since 1943 – the chief surgeon of the army of the 3rd Ukrainian Front. After the war, Anatoly Yakovlevich’s entire career was connected with the Department of General Surgery of the Leningrad Sanitary and Hygienic Medical Institute, where he made the way from assistant (1947), associate professor (1951), professor (1957) to head of the department (1960). From 1956 to 1973, A.Ya. Ivanov simultaneously held the position of director (rector) of the Leningrad Sanitary and Hygienic Medical Institute. He proved himself as a high-class surgeon, organizer of the scientific and pedagogical process. Under his leadership, new areas of work of the clinic were created, in particular, one of the first vascular surgery departments in the country was opened. It should be noted the breadth of A. Ya. Ivanov’s horizons and the variety of the studied scientific issues. Under his leadership, 3 doctoral and 20 candidate dissertations were defended, he was the author of more than 100 scientific papers. He was awarded orders and medals of the USSR. He died on August 26, 1988, and was buried at the Bolsheokhtinskoye Cemetery in St. Petersburg.

J Strength Cond Res 37(11): 2229–2234, 2023—The purposes of this study were to reduce dimensionality of external training load variables and examine how the selected variables varied within microcycle in elite North American soccer players. Data were collected from 18 players during 2018–2020 in-seasons. Microcycle was categorized as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 days before match day (MD-1, MD-2, MD-3, MD-4, and MD-5, respectively). Training load variables included total distance, average speed, maximum velocity, high-speed running distance (HSR), average HSR, HSR efforts, average HSR efforts, sprint distance, average sprint distance, sprint efforts, average sprint efforts, total PlayerLoad, and average PlayerLoad. The first principal component (PC) can explain 66.0% of the variances and be represented by “high-speed load” (e.g., HSR and sprint-related variables) with the second PC relating to “volume” (e.g., total distance and PlayerLoad) accounting for 17.9% of the variance. Average sprint distance and total distance were selected for further analysis. Average sprint distance was significantly higher at MD-3 than at MD-2 (p = 0.01, mean difference = 0.36 m•minute−1, 95% confidence intervals [CIs] = 0.07–0.65 m•minute−1) and MD-4 (p = 0.012, mean difference = 0.26 m•minute−1, 95% CIs = 0.10–0.41 m•minute−1). Total distance was significantly higher at MD-3 than at MD-1 (p < 0.001, mean difference = 1,465 m, 95% CIs = 1,003–1926 m), and MD-2 (p < 0.001, mean difference = 941 m, 95% CIs = 523–1,360 m). Principal component analysis may simplify reporting process of external training loads. Practitioners may need to choose “volume” and “high-speed load” variables. Elite North American Soccer players may accumulate higher average sprint distance at MD-3 than at other training days.

Representatives of the genus Sceliphron Klug, 1801 are found in almost all biogeographical regions of the world (Yuan, 2022). At present, 35 species of this genus have been known (Pulawski, 2020). Of these, six species have been recorded from the territory of Ukraine as follows: three invasive species: Sceliphron caementarium (Drury, 1773); Sceliphron curvatum (Smith, 1870) and Sceliphron deforme (F. Smith, 1856) (Kletʹonkin, 2023); and three native species: Sceliphron destillatorium (Illiger, 1807); Sceliphron madraspatanum (Fabricius, 1781) and Sceliphron spirifex (Linnaeus, 1758) (Tymkiv et al., 2015). The most common is Sceliphron destillatorium (Illiger, 1807), which occurs throughout the territory of Ukraine. Representatives of the genus Sceliphron Klug, 1801 belong to two subgenera: Sceliphron and Hensenia. Although species of both subgenera take care of their offspring and feed the larvae with spiders, their nests differ in shape and number of mud cells. Wasps of the subgenus Hensenia build a certain number of single-celled mud nests in shape of jugs. Instead, wasps of the subgenus Sceliphron build cells that joint into large mud nest. S. destillatorium is the South–Palaearctic species. Its range covers the Mediterranean region (southern and south-eastern Europe, northern Africa and south-western and southern Asia) (Wisniowski et al., 2013). S. destillatorium is a solitary wasp. It belongs to the family Sphecidae (Insecta: Hymenoptera) of the subgenus Sceliphron (Gülmez1 et al, 2017). S. destillatorium female builds a nests of the moist soil material, which she collects and transports herself. The nest consists of tubular cells placed side by side, the number of which varies (Chatenoud et al., 2012). After building the first cell, the female hunts spiders to feed her offspring (Pytel-Huta, 2023; Yuan, 2022). Female S. destillatorium brings the paralysed spider into the cell, lays an egg and continues to hunt. Each cell stores a certain number of spiders. The number depends on the size of the victims and the sex of the future generation. Once the cells have been built, the female S. destillatorium covers them with an additional layer of soil (Polidori, 2005). In the wild, females build their nests in shady, sheltered places (rock ledges, empty tree trunks, etc.). However, at present, they are increasingly nesting in people's houses (usually under roofs, attics, etc.) (Yuan, 2022). Adult wasps feed on angiosperm nectar. The collection of the State Museum of Natural History, National Academy of Sciences in Lviv contains 14 specimens of this species collected in the western part of Ukraine and one specimen collected in the central part. A few samples (4) of this species were collected in 1922, 1923 and 1926, collector – J. Noskiewicz. The date and place of collection of the remaining specimens are unknown. В статье показаны тенденции, факторы изменений в численности, жизнедеятельности сельских татар БАССР в 1920-е–1950-е гг. История татарского крестьянства Башкортостана в советский период неотделима от истории крестьян России в целом. В результате сложных, неоднозначно трактуемых этногенетических процессов к началу ХХ в. демографическое большинство северо-запада и запада современного Башкортостана составляли татары. По переписи 1926 г. было зафиксировано значительное число башкир, считавших своим родным языком татарский язык. Перепись 1939 г. зафиксировала очень маленький прирост башкирского населения, при том, что показатели роста численности татар были выше средних показателей роста общей численности населения по республике. Количественный состав татарских крестьян этого региона за освещаемый период уменьшался более низкими темпами относительно селян других национальностей этого региона. К концу 1950-х гг. главную тенденцию в изменении демографической картины татарского сельского населения в Башкирской АССР определяли миграция и сокращение численности. Они были обусловлены высокими темпами индустриализации экономики республики и второстепенным отношением государства к развитию аграрной отрасли. Background: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematologic malignancy caused by the uncontrolled proliferation of malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow. Bispecific antibodies (BsAbs) are a new novel class of drugs currently assessed in the setting of relapsed/refractory MM (RRMM), with impressive outcomes. BsAbs are designed to direct against specific antigenic epitopes on the surface of malignant plasma cells, with two main categories: B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) or other (non-BCMA) antigens which include G-protein coupled receptor family C group 5 member D (GPRC5D) and Fc Receptor-Like 5 (FcRH5). Methods: We conducted a pooled analysis of the available literature on BsAbs reported in the form of abstract or full peer-reviewed publications, published until June 2023, using PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar and Embase databases. BsAbs were classified into two groups: BCMA and non-BCMA-directed agents. Studies on BsAbs used in combination with other plasma-cell directed agents, and studies reporting outcomes of patients who had prior exposure of other BsAbs were excluded. BsAb included in our study were the following: Teclistamab, Elranatamab, REGN-5458, AMG420, AMG701, CC-93269, TNB-383B, Linvoseltamab, Talquetamab, and Cevostamab. We collected safety data including cytokine release syndrome (CRS), neurotoxicity, infections rates and hematologic toxicities. We used T-test statistics to determine significance (p-value&lt;0.05) and comparisons between the BCMA and non-BCMA groups. Results: A total of 1926 patients with RRMM treated with BsAbs were included in this analysis. Among them, 1288 (66.7%) received a BCMA-directed BsAbs, while 638 (33.1%) received a non-BCMA-directed bsAb. Patient baseline characteristics including prior lines of therapy (LOT), and refractoriness status were comparable between the two groups. The median age of the entire cohort was 63 years and had a median of 5 prior LOT. Median follow-up duration was 5.35 and 5.6 months for the patients treated with BCMA agents and non-BCMA agents, respectively. CRS was reported in 59.6% of all patients, infections in 50%, neutropenia in 41.86%, anemia in 37.32%, and lymphopenia in 36.41%. For grade 3-4 adverse events (AEs), the percentages were as follows: CRS 22.9%, infections 21.46%, neutropenia 38.12%, and anemia 25.37%. Non-BCMA-targeting BsAbs showed no significant difference in all grade and type hematologic toxicities (neutropenia, anemia, lymphopenia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia combined) compared to BCMA-targeting BsAbs (p=0.57). However, a significant difference was observed when comparing BCMA-targeting to non-BCMA-targeting BsAbs in terms of combined grade 3-4 hematologic toxicity (p=0.0002). In addition, the group of patients who received BCMA-targeting BsAbs had significantly worse hypogammaglobulinemia compared to patients treated with non-BCMA BsAbs (p=0.006). The overall CRS rate (all grades) was significantly higher in non-BCMA BsAbs (p&lt;0.0001), however, both groups experienced similar grade 3-4 CRS rates. Neurotoxicity rates were also similar between the two groups (p=0.067). Conclusion: The use of BsAbs in MM has demonstrated remarkable efficacy; however, these have been linked to a unique adverse event profile. Our results showed that non-BCMA bsAb were associated less hematotoxicity (combined grade 3-4 events and hypogammaglobulinemia), whereas BCMA bsAb were associated with less CRS rates. This is important information for treatment selection and mitigation strategy development aiming to optimize patient outcomes.

Bevezetés: A minimálisan invazív technikák ugrásszerű fejlődése nem hagyta érintetlenül az idegsebészetet sem. Az új műtéti beavatkozások mind a koponya-, mind a gerincsebészet vonatkozásában egyre szélesebb teret nyernek. A degeneratív elváltozások okozta gerinccsatorna-szűkületek ellátása során kezdetben alkalmazott, kétoldali feltárással járó laminectomiát felváltotta az egy oldalról elvégezhető „over-the-top” műtét, majd az utóbbi években, a feltárás további minimalizálóját segítő, a lehető legkisebb járulékos szövetroncsolást biztosító technikák, mint a tubusfeltáró, majd a gerincendoszkóp használata. Célkitűzés: A jelen tanulmány célja, hogy az elmúlt évek tapasztalatait felhasználva bemutassa a két, minimálisan invazív technikával, azaz a tubusfeltáróval és az endoszkóppal végzett dekompressziós műtéteket, ezek eredményeit, mintegy rálátást adva a nemzetközi gerincsebészeti trendekre. Módszer: 2022. január 1. és 2022. december 31. között 43 beteget operáltunk ezen technikával gerinccsatorna-szűkület miatt. Ezek közül 27 esetben tubusfeltárót és mikroszkópot, míg 16 esetben endoszkópos technikát alkalmaztunk. Az eredmények megítélésére a beavatkozás előtt és után vizuális analóg skála értéket vettünk fel neurogen claudicatio, terhelésre fokozódó derékfájdalom és a nyugalmi gyöki fájdalmak megítélésére. Ennek alapján a betegeket négy csoportba osztottuk: „változatlan” (0–30%), „mérsékelt” (31–50%), „jó” (51–75%) és „kiváló” (76–100%) minősítést alkalmazva. Külön elemeztük a spondylolisthesissel kombinált szűkület miatt történt műtéteket. Rövid távú eredményeinket a hospitalizációs napok átlagos értéke alapján értékeltük. Eredmények: Mindhárom vizsgált tünet esetében „kiváló” posztoperatív eredményt értünk el, azaz a neurogen claudicatio 95,3%-ban, a derékfájdalom 72,4%-ban, míg a nyugalmi gyöki tünetek 86,9%-ban csaknem teljesen megszűntek. „Jó” és „mérsékelt” eredményt ennek megfelelően jóval kisebb arányokban tapasztaltunk. A spondylolisthesis talaján kialakult gerinccsatorna-szűkület dekompressziós műtéte utáni eredményeket külön értékeltük, melyek alapján szintén az esetek 92,8%-ában a neurogen caludicatio, 70%-ában a derékfájdalom és 100%-ában a nyugalmi fájdalom posztoperatív eredménye bizonyult „kiválónak”. A kórházban töltött napok száma átlagosan 3,7 volt. Megbeszélés és következtetés: Tapasztalataink egybevágnak azokkal a nemzetközi eredményekkel, amelyek szerint a tubusfeltáró és az endoszkóp alkalmazásával a minimálisan invazív technikák eredményei tovább javíthatók mind rövid, mind hosszú távon. Az új technikák bevezetésével nemcsak jobb eredménnyel járó, kevésbé invazív megközelítést kínálhatunk a betegeknek, de az eljárások hatékony volta miatt több beteg kerülhet műtétre, jelentősen lerövidítve a várakozási időt. Resumen

Cette seconde partie présente la vie et l'activité scientifique de Lewis Fry Richardson au cours de la période 1926-1953. Les travaux qu'il a entrepris sur la modélisation mathématique de la psychologie, les causes des conflits et les statistiques sur les guerres sont résumés en termes compréhensibles pour un large public. Ils ont conduit Richardson à découvrir un aspect particulier des fractales, outil d'analyse aujourd'hui bien connu pour l'étude des mouvements complexes des fluides. This second part presents the life and scientific activity of Lewis Fry Richardson during the period 1926-1953. His later work on numerical modelling of psychology, causes of conflicts and the statistics of wars is outlined in terms understandable to a wide audience. They led to Richardson's discovery of one aspect of fractals, analytical technique now recognized as valuable in the study of the complex fluid motions.

Abstract: In his report Der Rauch verbindet Städte , which appeared in the Frankfurter Zeitung in 1926, Joseph Roth described how coal mining affected life, society, and work in the Ruhr Valley. The text demonstrates impressively and in metaphoric terms how the coal trade and its industrial use as a source of energy had a direct influence on everyday life and the economy. This article proceeds from coal as a source of energy to examine the connection between literature and energy, reading this text against the background of the field of Energy Humanities currently developing in the anglophone sphere. This research focus, which has to date hardly been pursued in the German-speaking world, provides a new and productive perspective within the field of Austrian Studies.

Resumen

Стаття присвячена німецькому періоду творчості одного з основоположників Закарпатської школи живопису – Адальберту Ерделі (1891–1955). Мета дослідження – проаналізувати творчий доробок майстра періоду 1922–1926 років, та з’ясувати, які художньо-стильові тенденції набула його індивідуальна манера після досвіду роботи і навчання в Мюнхені. Методологія дослідження базується на мистецтвознавчому аналізі. Для проведення дослідження було проаналізовано всю доступну літературу, в якій згадувалося про цей життєвий етап майстра, а саме: наукові та публіцистичні праці, щоденники А. Ерделі. Автором був зібраний весь доступний емпіричний матеріал, який складається з творів, що знаходяться в приватних колекціях в Україні та інших країнах Європи, українських музеях. Новизна дослідження. Під впливом сучасного європейського мистецтв у почерку майстра відбулася певна трансформація, в ньому з’явилися нові підходи до трактування форм, більш вільна гра фарб та розподілу кольорів в композиції. Висновок. В статті здійснено мистецтвознавчий аналіз живописних творів, виконаних в різних жанрах, виявлено нові особливості, яких набула манера А. Ерделі під впливом модернізму. Під час чотирирічного перебування за кордоном митець познайомився з новітнім мистецтвом і почав синтезувати натуралістичні образи з експресивними засобами виразності. Звичайно, мова не йде про прямий вплив, картини майстра не втратили самобутності й своєрідності. Немає сумніву, що роботи цих років яскраво демонструють нову манеру, яка полягає у більш складному колориті, нові риси з’явилися у трактуванні об’ємів, глибшому контрасті світлотіні, динаміці та пастозності мазків. Цей період представляє новий важливий етап у творчості художника і стає відправною точкою для його подальших творчих пошуків у західноєвропейському мистецтві.
