Abstract:
Abstract The use of social media platforms as an educational tool to promote awareness has become increasingly popular as technology advances. Twitter is a microblogging, social media platform in which users share short, text-based posts (“tweets”) that can contain hyperlinked articles, web-pages, pictures, and more. 79% of the 336 million current monthly twitter users are international, suggesting Twitter serves as a tool allowing international connection via the rapid spread of information worldwide. Simplur Signals (Simplur LLC) was used to perform a retrospective analysis of the use of #Geriatrics on Twitter. Data was collected from Oct. 13th, 2010 through Jun. 5th, 2018. Spam and unknown accounts were excluded from the data set before analysis. Manual analysis was performed to qualitatively assess tweet content of the top 200 Retweets by Impressions. A total of 65,002 tweets were shared during the selected time frame. Tweet activity rose to a high in Year 5 (17,206) but has declined since. The majority of the top 100 influencers were doctors (57.4%). Regarding tweet content, most discussions focus on increasing awareness and promoting advocacy (30%) as well as sharing research related to the practice of geriatrics (23.5%). With its widespread use and lack of international boundaries, Twitter serves as an effective platform in informing and increasing awareness about geriatrics and other medical specialties.

Abstract:
This paper reports findings from a study among 610 Year 7 (typically age 12) pupils at 27 nonselective secondary schools in three English regions: Cornwall and Devon, London, and Greater Manchester. Data was gathered in workshops, each with 15–25 pupils, who completed questionnaires and performed individual tasks, all related to their vocational and educational aims, their ideas on what counted as success, and the main influences on their forward thinking, then discussed their answers and results. The discussions were tape recorded. Most pupils expressed robust occupational aims, and most said that they wanted to go to university. Family class did not predict levels of educational or occupational aims, but was related to the importance attached to “the job that I want to do” in the pupils' forward thinking. SAT scores did predict levels of occupational aspiration, ideas on what counted as success, and by whom and what the pupils were most influenced. These findings are interpreted to challenge the view, on which a raft of current policies are based, that social class disparities in educational and labour market outcomes are due to the intergenerational transmission of low aspirations in lower-class families and neighbourhoods. The paper concludes with an alternative model of status transmission processes in which attainments during secondary education are posited as the key intervening variable.

Abstract:
Judo is a detailed system of movements that allows you to govern the body as a harmoniously single organism capable of developing the physical abilities and functional fitness of athletes. In the conditions of competitive activity in judo the individual multivariate way of technical and tactical performance in the form of the throws, restraints, painful and suffocating locks is observed. Performing all these techniques requires strength, endurance, instant speed and coordination skills. The purpose of the article is improvement the methods of general and special physical training development for 7-9 year-old judokas. The experimentation facility was Children's and Youth Sports School № 11, Zaporizhia. It was attended by 43 boys aged 7-9 who were divided into control (n=21) and experimental (n=22) groups, all boys were classified in the main medical group. All sportsmen were in the primary training stage. The research paper describes the improved method of 7-9 year-old judokas training. The method determines and theoretically justifies correspondence of physical exercises and proportionality of muscle loading with functional peculiarities for child’s body. The method is based on multifaceted special preparation that helps to broaden motion behavior experience of young judokas and create appropriate base for their general technical preparedness. The efficiency of the developed method was investigated when comparing the obtained indicators in the control and experimental groups. The percentage increase in indicators was divided into three groups: the smallest, average and highest. But in the experimental group all indicators improved, in the control group - some of them improved slightly, others did not undergo significant changes. In accordance to the research, there is a positive influence of the improved methodology on the development of general and special physical preparedness level among 7-9 year-old judokas.

Abstract:
The paper presents a case history of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis that developed in a 7-year-old girl in combination with urolithiasis background. Our available sources for the last 50 years contain only 283 descriptions of pediatric xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGP) cases. We were able to find in domestic publications descriptions of two clinical observations of histologically proven XGP in children of 15 and 17 years. Clinical manifestations of the disease, radiological imaging data, and laboratory findings during the initial three months of the condition fit the disease pattern of a diffuse acute pyelonephritis. A remarkable peculiarity of the presented case was in the two-month interval during which the girl with a severe destructive renal process remained under medical supervision as an outpatient, suffered no pain, and had normal urinalysis results. Nephrectomy was performed from lumbotomy access considering clinical manifestations, data from laboratory and radiological isotope studies. The postoperative period was complicated by the development on the 2nd day of acute perforation of a duodenal ulcer. The intensity of perinephric process was unique and never encountered in our earlier practice. The described changes made kidney exposure extremely difficult. Therefore, nephrectomy should be carried out exclusively in the national highly specialized pediatric urological centers.
