Abstract:
This research is related to making a web to display data on CO, CO2 and temperature monitoring results in real time. The measuring instrument used consisted of an MQ-7 sensor to detect CO gas, a MQ-135 sensor to detect CO2 gas, a DHT-22 sensor to measure the temperature and a microcontroller as a control system. CO, CO2 and temperature measurements were carried out at the University of Lampung with 10 different points. Measurements were made for three days in the morning, afternoon and evening with the duration of measurement of each location 5 minutes. Measurement data is displayed on the PC server using an interface created through the Visual Basic 2010 program and saved to the Mysql database. Data from the database is sent to the web server. Based on the results of tests conducted, the web monitoring system is running well. The web can display CO, CO2 and temperature measurement data in the form of graphs and tables in real time. The web can be accessed by web browser at devices that are connected to the internet.

Abstract. Stable isotopes have been used extensively to study food-web functioning, that is, the flow of energy and matter among organisms. Traditional food-web studies are based on the natural variability of isotopes and are limited to larger organisms that can be physically separated from their environment. Recent developments allow isotope ratio measurements of microbes and this in turn allows the measurement of entire food webs, in other words, from small producers at the bottom to large consumers at the top. Here, I provide a concise review on the use and potential of stable isotopes to reconstruct end-to-end food webs. I will first discuss food web reconstruction based on natural abundances isotope data and will then show that the use of stable isotopes as deliberately added tracers provides complementary information. Finally, challenges and opportunities for end-to-end food web reconstructions in a changing world are discussed.

Abstract:
Small Medium Enterprises (SME) in food was contributed 13,15% on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) 2013. However, SMEs in food had the problems in the management organization that could affect the product competitiveness. The local SMEs in food is less competitive compared with the similar foreign overseas product. In order to anticipate the negative impact of the broader market, the competitiveness measurement was needed to be conducted on understanding the strength of SMEs in food. Competitive measurement can be done by creating web application to reduce measuring process. This research using Designing methods (system engineering) using diamond porter model as competitiveness measurement method of SME in foods. Web application functioned as SME in foods grading, competitiveness weighing, SME in foods index measurements and City SMEs index measurements. Index value that were yielded grouped into three categories which were high, medium, and low. There was a color indicator on index value display that functioned to classifying competitiveness index value. ID was needed to access this web application, those things intended to guard the safety of data contained in this web application.

Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine 20, no. 2 (February 2014): 227–33. http://dx.doi.org/10.3171/2013.10.spine13395.

Full text
Abstract:
An arachnoid web is an abnormal formation of the arachnoid membrane in the spinal subarachnoid space that blocks CSF flow and causes syringomyelia. Although the precise mechanism of syrinx formation is unknown, dissection of the arachnoid web shrinks the syrinx and improves symptoms. Precisely determining the location of the arachnoid web is difficult preoperatively, however, because the fine structure generally cannot be visualized in usual MRI sequences. In this report the authors describe 2 cases of arachnoid web in which the web was preoperatively identified using quantitative CSF flow analysis of MRI. By analyzing cardiac-gated phase-contrast cine-mode MRI in multiple axial planes, the authors precisely localized the obstruction of CSF flow on the dorsal side of the spinal cord in both patients. This technique also revealed a 1-way valve-like function of the arachnoid webs. Imaging led to the early diagnosis of myelopathy related to the derangement of CSF flow and allowed the authors to successfully excise the webs through limited surgical exposure.

Abstract:
AbstractWeb measurement is a powerful approach to studying various tracking practices that may compromise the privacy of millions of users. Researchers have built several measurement frameworks and performed a few studies to measure web tracking on the desktop environment. However, little is known about web tracking on the mobile environment, and no tool is readily available for performing a comparative measurement study on mobile and desktop environments. In this work, we built a framework called WTPatrol that allows us and other researchers to perform web tracking measurement on both mobile and desktop environments. Using WTPatrol, we performed the first comparative measurement study of web tracking on 23,310 websites that have both mobile version and desktop version web-pages. We conducted an in-depth comparison of the web tracking practices of those websites between mobile and desktop environments from two perspectives: web tracking based on JavaScript APIs and web tracking based on HTTP cookies. Overall, we found that mobile web tracking has its unique characteristics especially due to mobile-specific trackers, and it has become increasingly as prevalent as desktop web tracking. However, the potential impact of mobile web tracking is more severe than that of desktop web tracking because a user may use a mobile device frequently in different places and be continuously tracked. We further gave some suggestions to web users, developers, and researchers to defend against web tracking.

Abstract:
In the early service transactions, quality of service (QoS) information was published by service provider which was not always true and credible. For better verification the trust of the QoS information was provided by the Web service. In this paper, the factual QoS running data are collected by our WS-QoS measurement tool; based on these objectivity data, an algorithm compares the difference of the offered and measured quality data of the service and gives the similarity, and then a reputation evaluation method computes the reputation level of the Web service based on the similarity. The initial implementation and experiment with three Web services' example show that this approach is feasible and these values can act as the references for subsequent consumers to select the service.

Abstract:
Web analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis and summarizing of internet data for purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage. To check the web analytics the website IJCT is considered. This paper is the first step to analyze the availability and performability of the site. Availability depicts that for how much time the system is up i.e. check the utilization of the system on which that site works. Performability is the method to analyze each and every module separately and clearly in an efficient manner. Availability and performability collectively check the reliability of the system to ensure the performance measurement of that system. Web analytics is not just a tool for measuring and depicting website traffic but can be used as a tool for business research and market research, as well as a means to check and improve upon the effectiveness and utilization of a web site .The tool used for the web analytics for this site is AWStats. AWStats is an open source Web analytics reporting tool, which used for analyzing the amount of data from Internet services such as web, streaming media, mail and FTP servers .This tool check the performance of the IJCT separately by dividing one month module to days in month, week in month ,hours in month ,contribution of various countries, traffic generated etc. This paper deal with the securitization of IJCT for January month to indicate how many events and functionality occurs during surfing on this journal by various users on the Web. This critique helps us to identify the throughput of IJCT.  Here it is clear that users do not actually read: instead, they download and upload the data. A study of different online journals defines that this website scored massive response instead of the short time span. It completely and efficiently elaborate the usage of the IJCT by stating user visited, number of visits, number of hits ,bandwidth and many more.

Abstract:
the problem of software aging widely exists in long-running software system, and the solution is software rejuvenation. Traditional software rejuvenation strategy has some deficiencies in solving the problems of discrete web services aging, for example, the higher failure rate and the poorer stability. Therefore, considering the discrete web services has the loose coupling characteristic, we establish and revise the discrete web service aging damage model by using multiple linear regression method to calculate the aging damage of an individual web service. On this basis, based on the web service priority, call frequency and aging condition, we propose an adaptive rejuvenation strategy which ensures the key web services’ quality. The experiment result shows that, compared with traditional rejuvenation strategy, this strategy improves the stability and dependability of the web services.

Abstract:
Workflow-based web service compositions (WB-WSCs) is one of the main composition categories in service oriented architecture (SOA). Eflow, polymorphic process model (PPM), and business process execution language (BPEL) are the main techniques of the category of WB-WSCs. Due to maturity of web services, measuring the quality of composite web services being developed by different techniques becomes one of the most important challenges in today’s web environments. Business should try to provide good quality regarding the customers’ requirements to a composed web service. Thus, quality of service (QoS) which refers to nonfunctional parameters is important to be measured since the quality degree of a certain web service composition could be achieved. This paper tried to find a deterministic analytical method for dependability and performance measurement using Colored Petri net (CPN) with explicit routing constructs and application of theory of probability. A computer tool called WSET was also developed for modeling and supporting QoS measurement through simulation.

<span lang="EN-US">Measurement of soil moisture commonly by applying the soil moisture sensors is to measure the condition of the ground around which is relatively not wide. Therefore if applied for the large-scale, repeated measurements are required in accordance with the determined point. As a result it takes time to get the whole results. With the existence of wireless sensor technology then this problem can be overcome. This wireless sensor system will create a network consisting of nodes and server. In this study the server part is a server computer that requires a web server application together with its script to display and store data, while the node part is the data reader system. In the data system reader module, the sensor device is required as the input that is SEN0114, the processor is a microcontroller, while the wireless uses Wi-Fi module that is ESP8266. Wi-Fi topology used later is infrastructure (using access points). In this research, it begins by testing the sensor and then testing the data validation between the node and the server. SEN0114 sensor has different value from the American Standard Method (ASM) that is 0.922%. While the data validation test of the measurement result is Wi-Fi ESP8266 module which has a maximum distance of 14 meters toward the access points.</span>

Abstract:
t would be a large effort to use traditional methods of calibration procedures for Web Offset Press equipments. In this paper we proposed a convenient process calibration, which will not only guarantee the product quality meeting the ISO standards, but also save financial and material resources. Firstly, the measurements for determining the best ink thickness in Web Offset Press are discussed. The chromaticity values on solid fields with corresponding combination of paper and ink required by ISO Standards were achieved. Through a optimization process for gray balance, the printed tone values were adjusted to meet the requirements of ISO Standards. Finally several standardized test targets on sampled sheets ware measured, then the ICC profiles were created. This paper proposed an innovative process calibration, therefor using methods of chromaticity measurement, characterization of Web Offset Press can be put to effect to optimize printing processes.

Abstract:
Abstract More and more surveys are conducted online. While web surveys are generally cheaper and tend to have lower measurement error in comparison to other survey modes, especially for sensitive questions, potential advantages might be offset by larger nonresponse bias. This article compares the data quality in a web survey administration to another common mode of survey administration, the telephone. The unique feature of this study is the availability of administrative records for all sampled individuals in combination with a random assignment of survey mode. This specific design allows us to investigate and compare potential bias in survey statistics due to 1) nonresponse error, 2) measurement error, and 3) combined bias of these two error sources and hence, an overall assessment of data quality for two common modes of survey administration, telephone and web. Our results show that overall mean estimates on the web are more biased compared to the telephone mode. Nonresponse and measurement bias tend to reinforce each other in both modes, with nonresponse bias being somewhat more pronounced in the web mode. While measurement error bias tends to be smaller in the web survey implementation, interestingly, our results also show that the web does not consistently outperform the telephone mode for sensitive questions.

Abstract:
Risk reduction remains a management challenge. Research shows that business performance measurement is a popular tool to reduce risk, although applied differently across organizations. This study aimed to assess the influence of organizational size on performance measurement of market-driven organizations. A web-based survey was conducted whereby managers indicated their satisfaction with performance measurement practices, the regularity with which performance measurements were collected and the importance attached to performance measures collected. Respondents were fairly satisfied with existing performance measures, irrespective of organization size. No significant difference between organization size and respondents perception about the value placed by top management with regards to performance measurement was found. The study concludes that managers can make decisions that could ultimately reduce risk when they utilize proper performance measures.

Abstract:
Abstract Web questionnaires are increasingly used to complement traditional data collection in mixed mode surveys. However, the utilization of web data raises concerns whether web questionnaires lead to mode-specific measurement bias. We argue that the magnitude of measurement bias strongly depends on the content of a variable. Based on the Luxembourgish Labour Force Survey, we investigate differences between web and telephone data in terms of objective (i.e., Employment Status) and subjective (i.e., Wage Adequacy and Job Satisfaction) variables. To assess whether differences in outcome variables are caused by sample composition or mode-specific measurement bias, we apply a coarsened exact matching that approximates randomized experiments by reducing dissimilarities between web and telephone samples. We select matching variables with a combination of automatic variable selection via random forest and a literature-driven selection. The results show that objective variables are not affected by mode-specific measurement bias, but web participants report lower satisfaction-levels on subjective variables than telephone participants. Extensive supplementary analyses confirm our results. The present study supports the view that the impact of survey mode depends on the content of a survey and its variables.

Abstract:
An intelligent roll is a mechatronic system consisting of a roll in a web handling machine that also is used as a transducer for sensing cross-machine tension or linear load. The intelligent roll has electret film force sensors mounted on it in a helical arrangement. The sensors measure the force applied by the material being produced, such as a paper web, and thus provide information about the behavior and quality of the product. In addition to the force sensors, the intelligent roll system has an electronic signal processing module on the roll end and a digital radio link to transmit the data from the rotating roll. The receiver is connected to an automation network. An intelligent roll can be used to measure the tension profile online without separate scanning devices. An intelligent roll used as a reel or winder drum enables online measurement of linear load profiles during reeling and winding. Intelligent roll technology also enables temporary process and runnability analysis measurements by using tape-mounted sensors. Problems such as loose web edges, off-machine coater web shifting, winding problems, and reeling defects have been solved with these measurements. This paper describes the technology and presents three examples of its application to improve process runnability.
