Abstract:
This paper presents the state of the art on interoperability developments for the social and solidarity economy (SSE) community web based information systems (WIS); it also presents a framework of interoperability for the SSE' WIS and the developments made in a research-in-progress PhD project in the last 3 years. A search on the bibliographic databases showed that so far there are no papers on interoperability initiatives on the SSE, so it was necessary to have other sources of information: a preliminary analysis of the WIS that support SSE activities; and interviews with the representatives of some of the world's most important SSE organisations. The study showed that the WIS are still not interoperable yet. In order to become interoperable a group of the SSE community has been developing a Dublin Corre Application Profile to be used by the SSE community as reference and binding to describe their resources. This paper also describes this on-going process.

Abstract:
Modern Web-based Information Systems (WIS) must be flexible and prepared to be easily accessible and manageable in real-time. WIS user interfaces (UI) are still being constructed on the basis of traditional software development paradigms, without taking into account in their construction (or in the knowledge managed by the systems) the main criterion of globalization, that they must be distributed, open and changing. WIS-UI must be able to be constructed depending on the type of interaction (individual or collective) and the purpose of the interaction (management, technical, etc.). In this paper, the authors present a component-based development perspective to build user interfaces of WIS by means of the composition of widgets-components architectures and MDD approaches.

Abstract:
ModernWeb-based Information Systems(WIS) are becoming increasingly necessary to provide support for users who are in different places with different types of information, by facilitating their access to the information, decision making, workgroups, and so forth. Design of these systems requires the use of standardized methods and techniques that enable a common vocabulary to be defined to represent the underlying knowledge. Thus, mediation elements such astradersenrich the interoperability of web components in open distributed systems. These traders must operate with otherthird-partytraders and/or agents in the system, which must also use a common vocabulary for communication between them. This paper presents theOntoTraderarchitecture, anOntological Web Tradingagent based on the OMG ODP trading standard. It also presents the ontology needed by some system agents to communicate with the trading agent and the behavioral framework for the SOLERESOntoTraderagent, anEnvironmental Management Information System(EMIS). This framework implements a “Query-Searching/Recovering-Response” information retrieval model using a trading service, SPARQL notation, and the JADE platform. The paper also presents reflection, delegation and, federation mediation models and describes formalization, an experimental testing environment in three scenarios, and a tool which allows our proposal to be evaluated and validated.

Abstract:
The modeling of Information Systems in general, and Web Information Systems (WIS) especially, is a permanent issue so that there have been already several attempts and proposals for representing various facets of WIS. In our proposed approach, we focus on the organizational and business activity modeling and we concentrate on documents that represent the information of enterprises in the form of unstructured and semi-structured documents. The compilation of documents mirrors implicitly or explicitly the structure of enterprises, the interrelationship of business processes, and activities and tasks within processes. The documents represent, at the same time, the system roles along with tasks and activities. Our modeling approach concentrates on the co-existence and co-operation of documents and activities of business. The Story Algebra, or more generally the process algebra approach provides a formal framework that promises a formal describing method for modeling precisely the event triggered processes coupled with data in document format within an Enterprise Architecture Framework.

Abstract:
The Internet is fast becoming the standard environment for client-server applications that involve multiple users. The proliferation of Internet-based application development tools opens new doors to transportation researchers who work in real-time decision support system development. In the 1990s, one of the most important problems in advanced transportation management systems research was the development of better incident management systems. Although the incident management process has been well studied, the development of real-time decision support systems that can be used by all the involved agencies remains a challenging area of transportation engineering research. Existing incident management systems are developed on various traditional computing platforms, including UNIX and Windows. However, with the advent of the World Wide Web and Internet-based programming tools such as Java, it is possible to develop platform independent decision support tools for the incident management agencies. Web-based support tools offer an invaluable opportunity to develop next-generation online decision support tools for real-time traffic management. The applicability of Web-based tools to the development of online decision support systems for incident management is explored and demonstrated, and a prototype incident management decision support system (DSS) that has most of the capabilities of similar UNIX-based DSS support systems is developed and tested. Briefly described are the implementation and development of a prototype wide-area incident management system using Web-based tools.

Abstract:
A web-based Geotechnical Geographic Information System (GeoGIS) was developed and tested for the Alabama Department of Transportation. This web-based system stores geotechnical information about transportation projects, such as subsurface data, construction drawings, and design information. Typically, this information is in a report or plan sheet format, but raw geotechnical data can also be accommodated in the GeoGIS. The goal of this system is to provide easy access and storage for all geotechnical and subsurface structural information from across a state. Access through a secure web interface allows for keyword searches and interactive map selection. The web-based GeoGIS has four geotechnical layers (project, bridge, foundation, and soil boring) that can be displayed on a road map, aerial photos, or USGS 7.5 minute quadrangles. For testing purposes the GeoGIS was populated with multiple document types, formats, and sizes. In all cases, the system performed above expectations.

Abstract:
Abstract Digital signing of data in the Web-based IS is one of the most secure methods for guaranteeing the authenticity of data. Storage of user keys is particularly important for this methodology. The present development proposes a new algorithm for storage and usage of user keys for the database by the digital certificate of the client. The proposed methodology was designed for protection of data in a particular information system. One of the characteristics of this system is the great number of authorized users with rights for access and modification of various parts of data. With such systems it is extremely important to guarantee the authenticity of data stored in the system. Digital signing of data provides such guarantee of their authenticity.

Abstract:
Continuous recording of daily symptoms constitutes an effective means of managing asthma patients. Daily management reduces the costs associated with hospitalization and improves the quality of patient care. We have implemented a Web-based mobile asthma management system. We used a pocket PC, mobile phone and desktop computer. The recorded items and individualized prescriptions were structured using Extensible Markup Language (XML) DTD (Data Type Definition). The mobile Web form was automatically adjusted to fit the different display resolutions of the terminal devices. The system provided reliable exchange of all relevant information between a doctor and the asthma patient using wireless mobile transmission. Email and Short Messaging Service (SMS) were used to send messages to patients, for example in the case of an automatically determined patient alert. Patients could obtain customized instructions according to their daily personal symptoms, peak expiratory flow (PEF), medications and activity restriction. The daily graph of PEF and the graphs of symptoms and medication were particularly useful for asthma patient control and self-awareness of the progress of the disease.

Abstract:
The object of research is the processes of operation of a web-based information system. The conducted research is based on the application of existing approaches to organizing the operation of IT products, as well as on the previously developed formal model of the problem of managing the operation of an information system. The existing assessment of the satisfaction degree of the requirements for the system was adopted as the main criterion for managing the operation of the information system. The main hypothesis of the study is the assumption that the main criterion for managing the operation of a web-based information system should be considered the efficiency indicator as the ratio of the degree of satisfaction of requests for changes in individual components of the information system and the total costs of operating the system. The analysis of the applicability of the criterion «Satisfaction of the requirements of users of the information system» is carried out and its incomplete objectivity is shown for describing the goals of managing the operation of the information system. The use of the management efficiency indicator is substantiated, the features of the use of this indicator for solving the problem of managing the operation of the information system are considered. The existence of two approaches to determining the efficiency of the operation of an information system is recognized. Based on the results obtained, a concept for managing the operation of a web-based information system is proposed. This concept represents the main task of managing the operation of a web-based information system as a special case of a multicriteria optimization problem, the solution of which will be a Pareto-optimal system. On the basis of the proposed concept, a mathematical model of the problem of effective management of a web-based information system has been developed. To describe the function of the goal in the course of developing the model, it is proposed to move from descriptions of requirements to knowledge-based models of requests for changing the information system. It is also proposed to divide the set of model constraints into two separate complexes – a set of technical management constraints and a set of operating process constraints. Application of the developed model will make it possible to create new information technologies for managing the operation of web-based information systems for enterprise management. In contrast to the existing ones, such technologies will allow formalizing and automating the work on the formation and approval of the most profitable for the participants in the operation of the information system of project plans for fulfilling requests for changes in the operating system.

Abstract:
The proliferation of international business activities drives organizations to expand their operations into new areas and propels human resource management (HRM) to ensure hiring and retaining competent personnel. Consequently, firms have been struggling to place qualified people in relevant roles and provide adequate training. This study utilized information technology to solve these challenges using a web-based system to interconnect the processes, receive the data from the job applicants via a web-based interface, and connect them with suitable employment. Firstly, the proposed model presented a hybrid technique of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) Cloud Web-based Human Resource Management System (CLWHRMS) by recognizing distinct features and forecasts the candidate’s potential under various classification tasks. For this, the study used a set of various software tools for web pages and database designing, including for the alteration of images. The hybrid model was executed using real-time data of 250 resumes, which were collected through an online database to validate the overall performance of the developed web-based system in terms of its accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. Though the specificity was the same with all the techniques, the results illustrated CNN-LSTM technique was 91% accurate and 90% sensitive compared to the traditional methods. This CNN-LSTM model automatically estimates the suitability of a job candidate and projects his/her workability contributing to Saudi Arabian firms to ease and enhance their recruitment process. Abstract:
The main goal of image enhancement is to enhance the fine details present in the images having low luminance for better image quality. In the digital image processing field, the enhancement and removing the noise from the image is a critical issue; image noise removal is the manipulation of the image data to produce a visually high-quality image. The important details and useful information on image decreasing by the noise where the noise treated as information. The filters are used to remove unwanted information. The filters’ objectives are to improve the image quality. This paper proposes an enhancement image system, which chooses the appropriate filter and value of center pixel depends on the number of similarities adjusted neighbors pixels to the center pixel. The performance of this system is evaluated by using different quality metrics, such as Mean square error (MSE), Peak Signal Noise to Ratio (PSNR), Absolute Mean Brightness Error (AMBE), Measure of Enhancement (EME), and Measure of Enhancement by Entropy (EMEE), Entropy, Second-Order Entropy (SOE), and Image Enhancement Metric (IEM). The proposed enhancement system is efficient in removing noises and enhancing the image quality. Experiments are applied to a set of images, such as Lena, butterfly, etc. with different image sizes. The results show that the enhancement quality was performed well in the proposed system with minimal unexpected artifacts as compared to the other techniques, where the results of the proposed system for MSE, PSNR, AMBE, Entropy, SOE, EME, EMEE, and IEM for baboon image with the size 255x 255 are 2.906, 8.875, 3.92, 5.154, 2.692, 3.915, 0.442 and 3.674 in sequence.

Abstract:
There are still many elementary schools that have not implemented an information system for processing student grades online because of the assumption that this is still not needed, even though in fact the use of computerized information systems can help schools in improving the academic process to be more effective and efficient. Information systems with web-based applications that are now often found still have shortcomings, namely the mobility of their use is still lacking compared to Android-based applications which are now easier to use and access anywhere. The use of web applications as a means for teachers to input values as well as an android application as a means for parents to be able to monitor their children's academic scores is considered to be the most appropriate solution in implementing this information system, but differences in platforms between Android and the web make it difficult for data to be integrated with each other. Therefore we need an interoperability system in order to integrate applications from different platforms. Then an android based academic score monitoring application was made with RESTful web service. The selection of the RESTful web service system itself is because this system applies the concept of a client server where the server to be created is a web-based application that is used by the school to input student grades, and the client application is an android application intended for parents / guardians of students to get information regarding the value of his child. The output of this research is an application system for monitoring the academic scores of elementary school students by implementing the RESTful web service system in its application as well as the results of the application testing questionnaire based on the usability aspect of the application with the final result of the application eligibility percentage of 87%.Keywords: Monitoring Student Values, Platforms, Information Systems.

The constraints that exist in a system that is run manually, include the large amount of data that must be processed, the complexity in processing data, the limited time used in processing data, and various types of data. Likewise, in an office of the Plantation Service in East Kalimantan Province, processing correspondence is still done manually. This application uses a system by entering the type of letter to find a list of incoming and outgoing mail to make it easier for operators at the Plantation Service in East Kalimantan Province. In this program, the operator must enter first to access data from incoming messages and announcements. Therefore, this application is expected to improve the previous system and make work easier so that it can shorten the time so that work efficiency increases and makes it easier for operators to process data.Based on the results of observations in the form of an interview with an employee of the Data Information Service Center (PPID) at the Plantation Office of East Kalimantan Province, it was stated that there was no system or application. Correspondence services at the Plantation Office of East Kalimantan Province have been running well, but all processes are still manual and use a lot of paper. This application is also a form of concern for paper, where paper usage is starting to be reduced. All data and documentation are presented in digital or paperless form.Referring to the results of these observations, we need a web media capable of displaying correspondence with detailed information. With this web, it is expected to be useful for employees. Abstract:
Current e-Health portal platforms provide support for patients only if they have previously registered and received service from a healthcare facility (e.g., hospital, healthcare clinic, etc.). These portals are usually connected to a central EMR/EHR system linked to a central system. Furthermore, these portals are restrictive in that they are only accessible by these patients at the exclusion of parents, relatives and others that participate in providing care to the patient. Further complications include the increasing demand from our healthcare systems for patients to receive more off-site, non-primary, in-homecare, and/or specialized healthcare services at home (e.g., therapy, nursing, personal support, etc.). Lastly, an increasing number of people would like to have more autonomy over their health in terms of increased access to their own medical records and the services they receive. In this work, we addressed these limitations by creating MyHealthPortal – a patient portal aimed at non-primary care, in-homecare, and/or special healthcare for patients. MyHealthPortal can assist homecare and clinic-based healthcare services along with the benefits of existing portals (e.g., online appointment scheduling, monitoring, and information sharing). MyHealthPortal is secure, robust, flexible and user-friendly. We developed it in partnership with our industry partner, Closing the Gap Healthcare. Closing the Gap is a prominent homecare and clinic-based healthcare service provider that became the first homecare agency to score 100% on standards from accreditation Canada and was awarded the exemplary standing. In this paper we present MyHealthPortal, the architectural framework that we designed and developed to support the system, and the results of a usability study conducted from real field studies. Our system was tested in a variety of conditions and achieved SUS usability scores of 92.5% (high).

Abstract:
<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> Systematic inventory of glaciers is required for a variety of applications needed for the comprehensive development of the Himalayan region such as: a) disaster warning, b) estimation of irrigation potential, c) planning and operation of mini and micro hydroelectric power stations, etc.</p><p> A systematic inventory of the Himalayan glaciers at 1<span class="thinspace"></span>:<span class="thinspace"></span>50,000 scale was created for Indus, Ganga and Brahmaputra basins using Indian Remote Sensing Satellite data and attempted to modified global standards in GIS environment (Sharma et al, 2013). A robust, user- friendly web-based Himalayan Glacier Information System (HGIS), a first of its kind in the country is developed which facilitates any user to selectively display, query, analyse, compose maps and graphs and print, spatial and <i>aspatial</i> information on glaciers relevant to respective interests.</p><p> The HGIS architecture is based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards and utilises OpenGeo Suite bundled software comprising of Postgresql (PostGIS), Geoserver, GeoWebCache and GeoExplorer each of those having a different function (Anonymous 2010). The spatial and aspatial glacier data sets were stored in a pre-defined format (Sharma et al, 2008) and imbibed into spatially enabled database (PostGIS), having sophisticated functions for spatial data analysis and query. For publishing the data on web page OGC-compliant services are used.</p><p> The HGIS information content comprise of a) glacier inventory maps and b) inventory data sheet. The map displays the glacier morphology features like accumulation zone and ablation (ice exposed and debris covered) zones, snout location, de-glaciated valleys, moraines and glacier lakes. The basin, sub-basin and administrative boundaries form the background. The inventory data sheet attributes for each glacier provides information on glacier Location, Identification, Dimension, Orientation, Elevation, Classification, etc. The spatial map and datasheet are linked by unique glacier identification number (galc_id) which is a key field present in all corresponding glacier related point, polygon or line layers. All the glacier attribute were made amenable to query and analysis by users. HGIS represents a significant step towards mapping and compiling individual glacier level inventory data in spatial form to fill the void in data and information on the status of Glaciers in the Himalaya and Trans-Himalayan Karakoram region. HGIS provides a basis for assessing the glacier inventory data which has applications in studies related to climate change, water resource planning, hydropower site selection and mitigation of glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) hazards.</p>

Abstract:
According to the rapid development of the Internet and the increase of the network resources, it was very important to search the information resources for meeting the need of large ground of users. The key words were used as the indexes for retrieval with traditional method. But it couldnt reflect the real purposes and intentions of the users precisely. An improved information retrieval method based on the semantic web technology was proposed for carrying out the information retrieval work precisely and effectively. The mew retrieval system was not just recognizing the words simply, but it could comprehend the semantic ingredients of the words and sentences. The semantic web retrieval system was constructed eventually. Comparing to the traditional keywords retrieval method, the similarity degree was calculated in the simulation, simulation result shows that the retrieval precision ratio of new method increases by 15%, then the intelligent, efficient and accurate information retrieval system is realized successfully.

Abstract:
Finding information from a large collection of resources is a tedious and time-consuming process. Due to information overload, searchers often need help and assistance to search and find the information. Recommender system is one of the innovative solutions to the problem related to information searching and retrieval. It helps and assist searchers by recommending the possible solution based on the previous search activities. These activities can be obtained from the web log, which requires a web log mining approach to extract all the keywords. In this study, keywords obtained from the library web log were analysed and the search keyword patterns were obtained. These keyword patterns were from several databases or resources that were subscribed by the library. The finding revealed some of the popular keywords and the most searchable databases among the searchers. This information was used to design and develop the recommender system that can be used to assist other searchers. The usability test of the recommender system showed that it is beneficial and useful to the searchers. These findings will also benefit the management in planning and managing the subscription of online databases at the university’s library.
