The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of homestays in Lombok Island Tourism Village in the application of halal tourism principles. The method of proving the purpose of the study uses descriptive methods with a mixed method consisting of qualitative and quantitative methods. The object of study is the feasibility of homestays in the application of halal tourism principles (case study in Lombok Island Tourism Village). Primary data collection will be conducted with in-depth interviews. The results of the study that Homestays in tourist villages on Lombok Island have mostly tried to apply the principles of halal tourism. This was confirmed from the results of interviews from the Manager's side. Homestay tourism villages on Lombok Island are not feasible to apply the principles of halal tourism, especially because Homestay Management has not been systematic, the Organizational Goals have not been set towards sharia Homestay, and the manager does not understand what sharia management is. From research, it is known that the weaknesses of homestays on Lombok Island are Culinary, Employees, Marketing, Rooms.

Yeh Gangga Beach is one of the tourist destinations in Tabanan, which has many attractions at affordable prices. Accommodation in this destination is unique with the traditional design and a lot of environmental activities. The main problems in this accommodation (homestay) are marketing and operation. Many tourists seem unfamiliar with the accommodation, which results in limited market reach. In addition, unstandardized operations have made the performance low and unable to provide maximum tourist satisfaction. This study aims to determine the right strategy for developing homestays and destinations with a local community-based strategy based on tourist characteristics, motivations, and analyzed results. This study used qualitative data collection such as interviews (homestay owners and village officials), observation, questionnaires, and documentation study. By knowing the internal factor (Strength, Weaknesses) and external factors (Opportunity and Threat) of the homestays will be found the strategy to improve the standard of the homestay in Yeh Gangga Beach. Based on observation, questionnaires and interviews with stakeholder and the SWOT analysis indicated as follows: 1). Homestays at Yeh Gangga beach need promotion, this can be done with doing a collaboration with travel bureau who works for a tour package and digital marketing via social media. 2). To obtain a legal license in building homestay, this needs the government involved. 3) In order to meet good administrative or improve management standard requires training or workshop from organizations that are experts in homestay or accommodation administration. 4) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of homestays owners, village officials, and academics to improve homestays and destination standards. 5) To form a tourism awareness group (POKDARWIS) that will be more responsible for the sustainability of all tourism activities, including homestays as a component of tourism in Yeh Gangga and also beach cleanliness. 6) Create new products with better quality and competitive prices such as special souvenirs to show the characteristic of Yeh Gangga Beach. 7) Community synergy to tackle the waste problem.

The rapid development of entrepreneurship-based tourism has encouraged households in tourist areas to try to take advantage of opportunities to do business through residential property to become homestays. Homestays are offered for tourists who want to spend the night naturally, enjoy daily life with the local culture of the destination visited with all the facilities which of course can meet the needs of traveling. Residential home owners try to become property entrepreneurs by understanding the management of the property business through innovation capabilities that transform residential homes into homestays. The needs of tourists in choosing homestay accommodation are different from hotels or villas or bungalows, preferring to enjoy a homely atmosphere by getting memories and local experiences in tourist destination areas. Residential homeowners will seek information regarding home repairs and the physical availability of residential homes, arrange schedules, and need to study property management in collaboration with residential developers. So this study aims to determine the innovation ability of homestay property developers who are considered influential in increasing business through the dimensions of technology development, operational capabilities, managerial routines and property transactions. This descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative approaches uses triangulation data collection techniques and is statistically analyzed using Partial Least Square. It is important for homestay business owners to find building developers who can repair or rearrange buildings who have the ability to innovate in the property business. The results of measurements from residential home owners and property developers in tourist destinations show that the dimensions of strong property innovation capabilities are innovation capabilities in management and routine operations, while the dimensions of innovation capabilities that still have weaknesses are innovation capabilities in technology development and transactions. Village tourism the one of strategy to solve the problem of poverty in the village. Constraints such as infrastructure are still lacking and information about Setulang Tourism Village is still limited yet, this research was conducted to find out the development strategies that exist at Setulang Tourism Village. There are 3 respondents of the SWOT analysis, techniques to getting data by interviewing, documenting and filling out the questionnaires. There are 4A internal variables, accessibility, the distance of location and transportation facilities, attractions, namely arts and cultural activities, the pure of forest and handicrafts, ancillary namely local organizations and government, and amenities, which are available of homestays. External variables are socio-cultural, competition, law, economy, security and threats. 9 indicators of internal variable,there are 2 weaknesses namely community handicrafts and transportation facilities. 10 indicators of external variable there are two threats, namely same of tourist attractions and the convenience of tourists to visiting. In the SWOT analysis there are IE, IFAS / EFAS, and SWOT matrix. IFAS results obtained 3.22 while the number of EFAS 2.97. Matrix of IE, Setulang Tourism Village in 2018 is high or strong. This research shows several indicators that Setulang Tourism Village needs to improve to become a tourist destination and hopefully it can be an advice for the future. This research discusses the strategy of developing a Tapis craft tourism village and the tourism supply chain in Negeri Katon village, Pesawaran district. The purpose of this study is to identify tourism potential and formulate strategies for developing Tapis craft tourism villages and tourism supply chains. The method used in this study is to use SWOT analysis which includes IFAS, EFAS, IE and SWOT matrices. Based on the results of the research conducted, there are several tourism potentials that can be developed. The IFAS matrix analysis produces 5 strengths and 4 weaknesses, while based on the EFAS matrix analysis there are 3 opportunities and 2 threats. The IE matrix shows that the development of tourist villages is in quadrant one position. The conclusion of this research is that based on the SWOT analysis, there are several alternative strategies that are produced including involving the community in the development of tourist villages starting from planning, implementing and evaluating, making tour package programs, making photo spots for tourists, assisting the community to ensure the program runs well, increasing human resource capabilities, taking advantage of technological developments to maximize promotions, forming tourism management institutions, encouraging people to become entrepreneurs in the culinary field, utilizing and managing people's homes as homestays, building tourist facilities and infrastructure, creating Tapis culture week activity programs, involving the younger generation in exhibition activities, forming the Tapis community, including Tapis lessons in formal schools, improving coordination between craftsmen and the government as well as providing counseling and education to the community.

ABSTRACT In general, the Homestay program and community involvement is one of the initiatives to develop rural communities especially in Sabah and Malaysia. This is because the implementation of the program contributes in the increase of Malaysia’s economic income as well as helps to improves socio-economy of community members that involved. Therefore, in order to implement the development of Homestay Program in Pulau Gaya, there are several factors that must be examined and considered to proves whether Pulau Gaya has the potential for the development of Homestay Program. Hence, this study aims to identify the potential of developing Homestay Program and the involvement of community members in Pulau Gaya, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. In this study, researcher has applied Mixed Methods in data collection process. Through quantitative methods, researcher has conducted a questionnaire on 150 respondents including the head of the household or their representative. Meanwhile, in qualitative method, the researcher has interviewed 15 informants (Stakeholders) based on purposive sampling. As result of this study, it can be said that the potential to develop a homestay program and the involvement of community members is high based on the questionnaire data which shows that 101 people or 67.33 percent of respondents agreed to participate in the homestay program. In addition, SWOT analysis also shows that Pulau Gaya community members have the potential to develop homestay program because the aspect of strengths and opportunities in the SWOT analysis shows higher results than the aspects of weaknesses and threats. This shows that Pulau Gaya community members has higher potential. For that reason, the result of this study shows that Pulau Gaya has the potential to develop a homestay program due to the involvement of community members. ABSTRAK Program homestay dan penglibatan ahli komuniti merupakan salah satu inisiatif membangunkan komuniti di luar bandar di Sabah dan Malaysia amnya. Ini kerana, pelaksanaan program homestay merupakan penyumbang kepada peningkatan pendapatan ekonomi negara dan sekaligus membantu meningkatkan sosioekonomi ahli komuniti yang terlibat. Dalam hal ini, bagi merealisasikan pembangunan program homestay di Pulau Gaya terdapat beberapa faktor yang yang harus diteliti dan diambil kira bagi membuktikan sama ada Pulau Gaya berpotensi untuk pembangunan program homestay. Oleh itu, kajian ini cuba melihat potensi membangunkan program homestay dan penglibatan ahli komuniti di Pulau Gaya, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Pengumpulan data kajian ini, penyelidik telah mengaplikasikan kaedah mixed methods. Melalui kaedah kuantitatif penyelidik telah melakukan soal selidik ke atas 150 responden iaitu ketua isi rumah atau wakil mereka. Manakala, kaedah kualitatif penyelidik telah menemubual 15 informan (Stakeholder) berdasarkan persampelan bertujuan. Hasil kajian ini, menunjukkan potensi membangunkan program homestay dan penglibatan ahli komuniti adalah tinggi berdasarkan data soal selidik iaitu menunjukkan sebanyak 101 orang atau 67.33 peratus responden bersetuju untuk menyertai program homestay. Di samping itu, melalui analisis SWOT juga menunjukkan bahawa ahli komuniti Pulau Gaya berpotensi membangunkan program homesray kerana, aspek kekuatan dan peluang dalam analisis SWOT menunjukkan lebih tinggi berbanding aspek kelemahan dan ancaman. Hal ini, menunjukkan bahawa ahli komuniti Pulau Gaya mempunyai potensi yang tinggi. Oleh itu, hasil kajian ini menujukkan bahawa Pulau Gaya mempunyai potensi membangunkan program homestay disebabkan adanya penglibatan ahli komuniti.

Pangandaran is one of the famous tourist destinations because it is complete with several attractions such as natural attractions, cultural tourism, artificial tourism and conservation. To develop a very potential destination, a comprehensive development strategy is needed. The methods used in this study are SWOC and AHP, the first of which is the exploration of SWOC to identify factors of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges. The second stage is to sabotage the proposed strategy obtained with AHP. Hasil this research there are4 proposed strategies, namely optimizingsocial media for promotion (weight 0.419), involving Stakeholders to participate in the development of Pangandaran (weight 0,300), making tour packages that include existing attractions(Homestay, protected forest) (weight 0,168), and building a sustainable Pangandaran system. integrated g (weight 0.113). Pangandaran development must follow existing trends with social media technology that can expand marketing reach.

Permukiman Tradisional Minangkabau yang berada di Nagari Rao-Rao, kabupaten Tanah Datar, memiliki ciri khas yang sangat unik bagi warisan budaya Minangkabau, Nagari Rao-Raomemiliki potensi untuk dijadikan objek wisata berbasis budaya tradisional Minangkabau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat suatu konsep pengembangan permukiman tradisional Minangkabau sebagai destinasi wisata baru berbasis budaya Minangkabau. Wisata adalah komunitas atau masyarakat yang terdiri dari para penduduk suatu wilayah terbatas yang bisa saling berinteraksi secara langsung dibawah sebuah pengelolaan dan memiliki kepedulian serta kesadaran untuk berperan bersama sesuai ketrampilan dan kemampuan masing-masing dengan memberdayakan potensi secara kondusif bagi tumbuh dan berkembangnya kepariwisataan. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan analisis adalah memakai analisis kualitatif pembobotan dan analisis SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, dan Threats). Analisis ini untuK pengembangan permukiman tradisional Minangkabau di Nagari Rao-Rao yang melakukan identifikasi terhadap kekuatan (strengths), kelemahan (weaknesses), peluang (opportunities), dan ancaman (threats) yang terjadi di kawasan pemukiman tradisional Minangkabau. Adapun konsep yang dapat dikembangkan pada Wisata Budaya di Nagari Rao-Rao adalah pengembangan pemanfaatan kawasan permukiman tradisional sebagai objek wisata budaya tradisional Minangkabau dengan melibatkan masyarakat setempat agar mampu meningkatkan perekonomian penduduk lokal. Pengembangkan atraksi budaya dan paket wisata yang dapat ditawarkan berupa jejak nagari (berkeliling sambil menikmati keindahan alam di permukiman tradisonal), penyediakan makanan tradisional Minangkabau (kuliner), kerajinan tangan ciri khas Minangkabau dan penginapan berkonsep homestay serta penyediaan atraksi seni tradisional seperti tari daerah, lagu daerah, rabab dan silek. Dengan konsep ini diharapkan Permukiman Tradisonal Minangkabau di Nagari Rao-Rao mampu terus berkembang dan mampu mempertahankan nilai Budaya yang ada.

Purpose B&B stays have enjoyed popularity in China over recent decades. Online reviews can truly and objectively reflect consumers' satisfaction. Using the network text analysis method, this study analyses the overall satisfaction, the trend of satisfaction, and the main factors affecting consumers' satisfaction by taking the TOP50 online reviews of China B&B as the sample. The results show that the overall satisfaction degree of the Top 50 of China's B&B List is relatively high, and it has continuously improved in the past three years. But there are still some negative evaluations. The core competitiveness is service, focusing on personalized needs and humanistic care, while the weakness in the room hardware is also important to improve satisfaction. The personalized service, infrastructure, the service process, and internal & external environment should be improved to improve consumers' satisfaction with the homestay. The research attempts to provide theoretical and practical references for improving service quality.

Rural areas have quite unique opportunities to attract tourists by building relationships between them and their cultural, historical, ethnic and geographical roots. However, currently the existing homestay has not been included into tourist’ package products, so that it can become a tourist attraction for tourists. This phenomenon causes existing homestays to only be used as accommodation or accommodation facilities. In fact, homestays can also offer a variety of interesting activities related to the culture and social life of the local community. Therefore, in developing a homestay it is very important to involve the local community as a tourist attraction. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential of the Cibodas village as an educational tourist attraction. In addition, to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of developing homestay in Cibodas tourism village as an educational empowerment attraction based on community empowerment as well. The last one is to formulate a homestay development strategy. In order for this research could be conducted thoroughly and achieves goals that are in accordance to the expectations of the researcher, multi-method approach of qualitative and quantitative method will be applied.
